An afternoon at Sumaura-koen

We took the ropeway next to Sanyo Sumaura-Koen station, then walked to the chair lifts and rode them up! I was surprised that the signs said children ages three and up can ride by themselves! Mia survived, but she did cry a little going across. Coming back she smiled and enjoyed it.

It’s winter, so there weren’t too many people up there, but ropeway was fairly full. The hiking course, playground, observation decks, and small amusement park spreads people out quite a bit. I’d like to go back in summer when the gardens aren’t so bare. It had an abandoned feeling even though everything was pretty nice.

shin knew that you were in your room and wanted to ask you something, but he made the mistake of forgetting to knock on your door and decided to just walk in without any warning. he stops mid-sentence as soon as he sees you, the sight of your naked body making him lose his ability to both speak and think, and he immediately forgets what he was even going to ask you in the first place. he tries not to stare, he really does, but with you being the first woman he had seen like this, at least in person, he just can't help himself as his eyes begin tracing along every dip and curve of your body. shin can feel his pants getting tighter as he continues to look you up and down, and it isn't until you tell him to get out that he snaps back into reality, realising that he's been staring at you for way too long. he starts apologising profusely before turning around to leave your room, only to hit his head on the doorframe on the way out. shin never really saw you as anything more than a friend before, but he finds himself unable to look at you the same way again, especially after all the dreams he's had about you since.

waka doesn't even think about the fact you might be changing, opening your door and casually walking into your room without bothering to knock first. he isn't prepared for the sight in front of him, his eyes instantly landing on your bare figure and he can't help but smirk in amusement as he watches you attempt to cover yourself with your hands. waka might tease you about it a little, suggesting that you did this on purpose and how it was like you wanted him to walk in on you since you didn't even bother to lock the door, and if you weren't in such a vulnerable position you'd honestly want to slap him. of course he’ll leave as soon as you ask him to, he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable after all, although he can't help but find himself stealing one last glance at your body before he closes the door. he's had a thing for you for so long now, having imagined what you might look like underneath your clothes countless times before, but none of his fantasies could ever compare to the real thing. waka can't stop picturing your body underneath his, imagining all the things he wants to do to you.

omi will roll his eyes and sigh, acting like this entire situation is somehow your fault despite the fact he was the one who walked in on you. he scoffs at you when you tell him to get out, abruptly turning around because he knows he'll be tempted to look at you otherwise, and he doesn't want you figuring out just how much of an effect you have on him. not to mention he can feel his face getting hot and refuses to let you see the blush spreading across his cheeks, knowing that you’ll never let him live it down. omi snidely tells you that there are locks for a reason and you should learn how to use them, before shutting the door behind him just a little too loudly. despite having been around countless naked women before, he's actually super embarrassed by the whole situation and he feels like an idiot for entering your room without knocking. he holds the bridge of his nose between two fingers as thoughts of your body occupy his mind, and he mentally curses at you for making him feel this way. omi can't get that image out of his head for weeks, jacking off to the thought of you more times than he'd like to admit.

benkei is very respectful of your privacy, so it's unlikely that he would come into your room without knocking or asking for permission to enter first. however, for the sake of this scenario let's just say that this time you didn't hear him, and so he assumed it was okay to come in since he didn't hear you say otherwise. he’s very flustered upon seeing you undressed but manages to keep his composure, refusing to let his eyes wander as he averts his gaze elsewhere, uttering a small sorry and gently shutting the door again. benkei is so quiet about it that you probably wouldn't have even known he'd walked in on you if you weren't paying attention. he’ll apologise to you properly about it later, saying how sorry he is and that what he did was a complete accident. he's so sincere that of course you forgive him, telling him that the both of you can just forget it ever happened, to which he agrees. but what you don't know is that benkei finds himself getting bricked up to the thought of your body later, and he knows seeing you like that just made trying to get over his crush on you a hundred times more difficult.

Akashi brainrot incoming...

So I was thinking about the way that Akashi addresses his father in the series, and I wanted to point out something I've noticed for time but didn't think about too hard until tonight.

In the anime's English dub, Akashi addresses his father as "sir" to highlight the distance between the two of them, but if we look at the way Akashi addresses his father in the og Japanese, he's not actually that formal.

In the og Japanese, Akashi calls his father "tou-san", which is a variation of one of the most common ways to refer to your father, and it's still not even the most formal way you can address your father in this way. If you wanted to make this term more formal, you would add the 'o' prefix and the '-sama' honorific to make "otou-sama", but Akashi notably doesn't do this at any point. The only exception to this is the first day of middle school when he's talking to his driver about his father and uses the term "Chichi", which is a very neutral way to address your father. However, from what I know, this is just a rule of thumb when speaking to other people about your father once you reach adulthood and/or are speaking with another adult about your father.

Considering that Akashi deliberately drops formality when addressing his father, it gives way to an interesting observation regarding their dynamic. The lack of complete formality could hint at remnants of a closer relationship from the past before Akashi's mother passed. After all, Akashi's father was canonically less strict back then, so it's possible that he wasn't too particular about the way his son addressed him.

I think it adds another layer of complexity to their relationship because Akashi has experienced a version of his father in early childhood that wasn't as uptight and controlling, but his mother's passing changed everything and suddenly Akashi doesn't recognize him anymore. The "tou-san" he might have said with some form of warmth back then now just sounds hollow the moment it leaves his mouth.

We always talk about how Akashi's personality changed after Teiko, but his father also seemingly went through a personality change after his wife's passing, and he went through that change much earlier than his son. So both of them are sitting at the dinner table, Seijuro isn't really Seijuro and Masaomi isn't really Masaomi, but they're both playing a twisted game of 3D chess hoping the other won't notice that they aren't themselves and haven't been for a while now. They're trying to cosplay who they think the other needs them to be and are horrendously failing because the woman who connected them is gone and they don't know how to reach out to each other from the other side of the bridge.

There have been conversations on here before about how much more heartbreaking it would be if Akashi did have good memories of his father from back then, so I guess this post was kind of in a similar vein. Idk, I just like building on family lore. Anyway, lemme stop talking.

How you found out Takeomi is Sanzu's brother...as his secretary in Bonten

One minute, you're Sanzu's secretary, and the next, you're his glorified therapist. It all started when he came back from a mission drenched in the blood of traitors he personally put to rest. He wasn’t quite himself, even being under the influence of drugs. This was very unusual.

Sanzu threw off his bloodied waistcoat and tie, throwing them across the room. He fumbled in his steps to the couch in his office, collapsing onto it with a heavy sigh squeezing the bridge of his nose. "I'm an only child." He kept repeating over and over.

You dropped what you were doing, setting the stack of papers onto your desk and stepped over to him, sitting in the chair across from him. "Do you want ot talk about it, Sanzu?"

Sanzu repeated his sigh and shook his head. "Just let me rest a bit."

You nodded, patiently waiting for his next move. Sanzu mumbled under his breath, clearly annoyed by something. "Fucking Takeomi....you're not my brother anymore....don't need to tell me how to do my shit...."

"Wait...Takeomi is your brother?"

Sanzu froze. His eyes widened as he realized what he said out loud. He quickly grabbed your hand, bringing you closer to him and placed his hand over your mouth, staring at you, warning you not to say another word...yet. His shoulders slumped, moving his hand away when you nodded and dropped a heavy sigh. "Yes....that asshole is my brother..." His eyes darted to your chair, giving you the cue he was ready. "Where do I begin with this...."

Sanzu started with the times Takeomi punished him for the things Senju did then proceeded to blame him for not taking care of his sister because of it. Over and over again. He hated it. It wasn't his fault at all and yet, he'd be punished whether Takeomi knew or not. He wanted to say something, anything to keep it from happening but he could never stand up to his brother. At one point, he couldn't take it anymore and left. He wasn't Haruchiyo Akashi anymore, he's now Haruchiyo Sanzu.

"Hold on, Takeomi is your brother...and he did all that to you even though it wasn't? The fuck?!! You bolted from your chair in disbelief and fury. "Who the fuck does that?!"

Sanzu stared wide eyed at you from the couch. You didn't raise your voice often but how could you not after hearing everything?

"Sanzu, one slap. Just one slap across that bastard's face is all I ask."

Sanzu couldn't help but smile at the thought. What he would do to witness such a sight. He sat up, directly facing you now. "So, you want to slap my bastard of a brother?"

"Yes, please Sanzu! He deserves it!"

"Alright, let me call him in here." He stood up to get his phone from the table.

You gasp in shock, "Wait, right now? Really?!"

Sanzu picks his phone up, eyeing you with a smirk. "But of course. And I'll make sure he doesn't say anything."

"What the hell did you call me for at this hour, Ha-Sanzu?!"

Sanzu let him in with a straight face. "My secretary found something interesting that requires your attention."

Takeomi sighs, taking a puff of his cigarette, "alright, what is it?" He peers over to you with tired eyes.

You let out a breath you had been holding since he stepped in, making your way over to them. "Can you lean forward for me a bit?" Takeomi does what you ask unknowingly what's to come.

Takeomi was now looking at a laughing Sanzu in disbelief. "The fuck—"

"The fuck is wrong with you is more like it. That's what you get for punishing him for things he never did!"

And just as Sanzu promised, Takeomi never said a word. He never told you what was said but you had an idea.

Like, he is basically saying the stars aligned for him to meet the Gray Ravens in a very nerdy way and I love it. ** The proof of our past battles - I couldn't understand what was the context behind this line for a bit, so in case you are also struggling: commandant's dreams are the proof that they fought this far, proof of their past battles. At least that's what I think lol, could be wrong. Japanese relies a lot on context so wherever you see "I" it could very well be a "we" and vice versa. Companions/comrades "仲間" (nakama) can also be both singular and plural from what I gathered, so interpret it however you like.

"Enough!" Aomine roared, pushing you back against the wall.

It didn't hurt, but you had never seen him like this, so maybe your fear overrode the pain. You were effectively caged in, his muscular arms blocking your view and any path of escape.

"I..."

"Shut up! You've said plenty. You're an idiot! You dislike me because I'm an athlete and you have this fucking stereotypical view of us. Get over yourself! The reason no guy in "our league" would give you the time of day is because you're too damn busy insulting us. Making us feel like absolute shit about who we are and choose to be. Your nails were sunk deep into the palms of your hands. You bit your lip hard so you wouldn't cry. The severity with which he looked at you made you realize this bridge was burned.

Clearing your throat, you stood straight and held his hard stare.

"You're right. I'm sorry for everything I've said. I hate that I mistreated all of you and rejected friendships due to my insecurities. I hope you can forgive me."

Your voice was surprisingly strong and clear.

Aomine was caught off guard by the apology. He'd expected you to run off. Probably crying, but no, you were holding his stare and not the least bit intimidated.

You took Aomine's moment of surprise as your chance to escape. Ducking beneath his arm, you walked stiffly, but at your normal pace, which could be considered sprinting even on a normal day.

"Hey, wait!" Kise caught your arm.

You wanted to get home, transfer universities, and never see any of them again.

"Please let me go, Kise. Aomine is right, and we both know it."

Kise sighed, releasing your arm and falling instep beside you.

"Yeah, but why? I've never seen you insecure, and I can't believe that's why you tore Aomine up like that. There has to be another reason."

"Why are you even talking to me? I insulted all of you."

"You apologized. I guarantee Kuroko, Akashi, and Mura already forgave you. You never apologize, so we all know it's sincere."

"Thanks."

"So, spill it. What set you off on him like that?"

"I'm an idiot. When I like a guy, I ignore them or treat them like shit to keep them away."

Kise smiled.

"Ahh, so I was right. Mura and I had a little wager going that you were crazy for Aomine."

"Not crazy, but yeah. I liked him a lot. I was hoping he'd fall for me even if I treated him like shit. There were times when we actually joked around or teased each other. When I saw him with Keiko of all people, I lost it. Part of me did it out of wanting to protect her and the other part because... I wanted to be her. Thing is, she doesn't need protection. She'll end up cheating on Aomine like she does every guy and girl she dates. I feel bad for him."

"Yeah, well, he'll figure it out. Look, I think you should talk to Akashi."

"I'd like that."

You and Kise jumped when you heard Akashi's voice. You both turned to see him smiling.

"How long have you been following us?" Kise asked.

"Long enough," Akashi smirked.

"Well, I'll see you later. We're still friends, so don't you dare blow me off," Kise warned.

You felt better with Kise's warm smile and kind words. You turned to Akashi, wondering what he could possibly want.

"I meant what I said..."

"I know. Let me walk you back to your dorm. If you don't mind my company," Akashi offered.

"Sure."

"I've known for a while you liked Aomine. I also know about the kiss. He hates himself for misleading you."

"Wow. You, uh, know quite a bit."

Akashi chuckled lowly, his hand brushing against yours.

"Would you come and cheer for me at the next game?" Akashi asked after a few moments of silence.

"For you?" You asked confused.

"Yes. I'd like to take you out afterward as well."

You stopped and turned to face him, wondering if he was messing with you. Akashi was as stoic as usual, fully focused on you with his intense eyes.

"Is this some kind of revenge thing? Like you get me to fall for you and humiliate me a few months down the line?"

Akashi laughed freely, surprising you since he always seemed a bit uptight.

"I know that I am not your first choice, but unless we're living in some kind of American soap opera, I'm not out for revenge."

Akashi chuckled softly shaking his head.

"It's a nice day out. Do you wanna go for a walk? Or do you already have plans?"

"No plans. No practice, either," Akashi responded.

You were nervous because you never considered Akashi more than a friend. Testing your luck, you brushed your hand against his again.

Akashi smiled before catching your fingers with his and slowly intertwining them. The tension from your shoulders seemed to melt away, and that made him happy.

Kuroko: "Please don't tease me like that."

The words leave Kuroko in a sigh, one that Riko almost doesn't hear. OUtwardly, he seems unbothered by her teasing, but the slight furrow of his brow is evidence that it bothers him at least slightly. The next time he sees you, there's a small pout on his face. He gets a little clingier as well, taking quick peeks at your clothed body as if he could somehow see through them for a second if he tried hard enough. Maybe he was jealous after all.

Kagami: "Does that even matter?!"

Despite the volume of his voice and his outwardly angry appearance, Kagami is incredibly embarrassed by Riko's teasing. His brows furrow, he squeezes his eyes shut, and the bridge of his nose nearly matches the color of his hair. He doesn't want to admit — even to himself — that he's jealous of Riko and he gets a little snappy at anyone who implies it. Give him some time and you might even start to see him pout angrily.

Kise: "Momoicchi, that's not fair! Even if it's true, don't tell me that!"

His voice comes out as a whine as Kise practically clings to Momoi's arm. When she asks him if he'd like the details, however, she's surprised when his attitude does a complete one-eighty and he tells her under no circumstance is she allowed to reveal anything about you to him. He wants to discover everything about you on his own, unwrap you from the confines of your clothes himself and map out your skin by his own hands. It's sweet, if not a little lecherous.

Kasamatsu: "H-hah?! What do you mean?!"

He's instantly red, thoughts of you — or more specifically, what you look like — flooding his mind. Kasamatsu was already stuttering when Momoi walked up to him with that teasing smile of hers, still nervous around women despite his lasting relationship, but the words she'd uttered had him absolutely flustered. He walks away from Momoi stiffly and tries to move on with his day, but even hours after that, he goes red every time he happens to look your way.

Midorima: "..."

Deep down, Midorima knows that any sort of response would be a win for Momoi. He tries to hold back from revealing his thoughts on his face, but there's a subtle twitch of his brow and a wrinkle on his forehead that give him away. He's annoyed. Annoyed that she would deem this appropriate to tease him about and, if he's being honest, annoyed that she was right. But he would never tell her that, choosing instead to seeth inside.

Murasakibara: "That's what you think, Momoi-chin."

The monotony of his tone don't match with the implication of his words, so Momoi's a bit taken aback from Murasakibara's response. She asks him to elaborate, but that only puts a lazy smile on the tall man's face. Extending a hand to pat the top of Momoi's head, he doesn't respond to her inquiry. She doesn't notice it, but there's a small twitch in his fingers — a resistance to ruffle her hair hard or squeeze. He's trying to hold back his jealousy.

Himuro: "You really shouldn't be going around telling people that."

The look in Himuro's eyes is almost disappointed, though it's hard for Momoi to even tell. She ends up thinking that her teasing hadn't worked on the man, but the second her back is turned away from him, there is an annoyed, small pout on his face. His eyes seem to narrow into a glare pointed at the back of her head and, as if feeling his malice, Momoi shudders. When she turns back to look at him however, he's looking at her blankly.

Akashi: "Oh, you think so?"

The smirk that Akashi gives Momoi almost has her recoiling. Despite the upward curve of his lips, she really can't read the expression in his eyes. Was he angry? Did he know she was lying? Was he implying that she hadn't been first? The fact that he didn't elaborate on his question made her feel even more uncomfortable, but she ends up giving Akashi a strained laugh before doubling down. It doesn't seem to affect him however.
