the memes about kyoshi's height are hilarious and all that but where did ya all get she was 7 feet tall?? fc yee put her height around at least six feet tall and the show doesn't put her that far from roku's height (though to be honest all the avatars are pretty damn tall sans korra). The novels do say that she towered over most people, but that could still very well be 6 feet tall, considering most of the characters have an average height. i'd imagine her height is simply one of the many facts the fandom made up but i think it's curious that y'all came to the conclusion she was as tall as an nba player, though for a woman that lived 230 years nothing is impossible
#not counting her depictions in the atla comic 'cuz she looked quite short there#but i would think yangchen was pretty tall too#at least as an adult#honestly i'd say kyoshi was near roku's height#he's always drawn taller than her by few centimeters#kuruk is a short king#aang is really tall as well those air nomad genes sure are strong#avatar kyoshi#avatar the last airbender#avatar aang#aang#kuruk#yangchen#roku#avatar roku#the rise of kyoshi#the shadow of kyoshi#the dawn of yangchen#korra#the legend of korra

The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence visit Sri Lanka.
Day 3: Colombo
This morning, The Princess Royal visited her first Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) Cemetery as their President.
During Remembrance Weekend in November 2023, Buckingham Palace announced that The Princess Royal would become President of the CWGC, taking over from His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent who had been President since 1970. His Majesty The King was also announced as the first Patron of the CWGC.
At the Commission’s Jaawatte Cemetery in Colombo, the largest CWGC site in Sri Lanka, Her Royal Highness was introduced to the Defence Advisor for Sri Lanka and the Maldives’ British High Commission, Colonel Darren Woods who lead a short Service of Remembrance which included an extract from the poem ‘For the Fallen’. A Bugler played the Last Post before a minute’s silence is held. After the Service, Her Royal Highness layed a wreath and viewed some graves, escorted by Colonel Woods.
Next, Her Royal Highness visted Vajira Pillayar Kovil, a Hindu Temple in Colombo. On arrival at the temple, Her Royal Highness and Sir Tim were presented with a garland of jasmine and rose flowers, a silk shawl receive a pottu in the middle of their forehead.
After watching a Hindu Dance Group perform at the entrance of the Temple, The Princess Royal met Chief Priest of Vajira Pillayar Kovil, Sachithanantha Kurukal who conducted a special pooja (blessing). Her Royal Highness also toured the main prayer hall and viewed the shrines.
After visiting the Temple, Her Royal Highness travelled to the British Council to hear about their work in building relationships and connections between UK and Sri Lanka through education, arts and cultural ties. HRH viewed The Arches of Awe exhibition which comprises photographs of the 21 arches that were erected across Colombo to welcome The late Queen Elizabeth II and The late Duke of Edinburgh during their visit to Sri Lanka in 1954. Dating back centuries, similar archways, also known as ‘thoranas’ were found across Asia and were often connected to traditional religious rituals.
The Princess then visited The Mission to Seafarers, an organisation which cares for the welfare of seafarers. The Princess Royal has been its President since 1984. During the visit, HRH toured the recently refurbished Mission to Seafarers centre and opened their new Family Room.
After this The Princess Royal went to Hatch Works’ co-working space to meet a selection of start-up companies, Her Royal Highness attended her final engagement in Sri Lanka, a I Reception, hosted by the British High Commissioner, to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. Her Royal Highness ended the visit with a few spoken words about the relationship between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka.

Kyoshi's accidental lifespan is definitely funny, but let's not forget Kuruk!! When Aang meets Koh in Season 1, and Koh references that one of Aang's past incarnations tried to slay him (which is Kuruk), he refers to it as "nearly eight-or-nine-hundred years ago." Yeesh, man. Kyoshi got it bad, but Kuruk is the KING of accidentally-too-long-lifespans. The creators had no choice but to outright ignore that, when they developed him further.
And later they made Kuruk's lifespan very short (33 years). So I guess Koh canonically is bad at telling time. Which makes sense, considering he's an eternal spirit and there're no calendars in his cave.

For the Hurt/Comfort prompts
Alpha Kylo/Omega Hux
'Just listen to my heartbeat, okay?'
It’s hard for Hux to think of his alpha as mortal. Kylo exudes such power and prowess that seeing him bleed is enough to break Hux’s heart a thousand times over. Every scar on the alpha’s body is a harsh reminder of his vulnerability, of his imperilled quest to rid the galaxy of its chaos.
“I won’t stop until you’re king of everything,” Kylo had said the previous night whilst his omega ran his fingers over his scars. “Everything.”
Hux’s chest had welled up with honour, and with fear.
The panicked word of the Supreme Leader’s grievous injuries reaches the bridge of the Finalizer quickly as the Knights of Ren rush their master back for desperate treatment, cutting off the frequency before the Grand Marshal can say anything else.
General Mitaka is by Hux’s side in a flash, asking if he’s alright but Hux feels as though he’s underwater, everything drowned out but the feeling of Kylo’s immense pain through their bond. Everywhere hurts.
“He’ll be okay, sir,” Mitaka is saying, ushering Hux away from the edge of the comm trenches of the bridge with a hand upon his lower back. “He always is.”
He always is. Hux’s Grand Marshal persona is slipping away, becoming nothing more than an omega terrified for his mate’s life and thinking of nothing else, letting everything else leave his mind except for things that will help his mate get through this.
“A-alert medical,” Hux commands, staring blindly at the floor. “Tell them to ready a bacta tank.”
A chorus of loyal ‘yes, sir!’ sings from around the bridge as every officer sets to work on doing what they can for their Supreme Leader’s return. A path is cleared from the hangar bay to the medical wing, ensuring that no officer, droid or stormtrooper will be in the way whilst Kylo is whisked from his ship to the tank, giving them as much time as they can against the Supreme Leader’s deteriorating state.
The walk to medical is a blur for Hux; if it weren’t for the guiding beeps and whistles of BB-9E, he doubts whether he would have made it there on time to meet the Knights of Ren and their precious cargo but Kylo is nowhere to be seen as the dirt-and-blood covered Knights stand in the corridor of medbay, fussing in a semi-circle with each other. Despite all being alphas, none of them seem ferocious now.
“Where is he?” Hux asks, face pale. “Where’s my Ren? I have to see him—”
“They’re prepping him for the tank, Grand Marshal,” Vicrul says, putting her hand up to stop Hux from entering the treatment room behind them. “He…he’s in a bad way.”
Hux stands on his tip-toes for a moment, trying to see into the room but with the doors closed, he shrinks back down in disappointment, “What happened?”
The Knights all share a glance. Vicrul and Ap’lek take each other’s hands before they bow their heads.
“Wait,” Hux takes a step back, taking in each of the Knights individually before a coldness overtakes him. “There are only five of you.”
Ap’lek raises her head, “Kuruk fell.”
“No,” Hux says. “What—”
But crashed and startled yells interrupt them, chaos sounding out from behind the doors.
“Ren!” Hux dashes into the treatment room, finding that his alpha is in the tank already but he’s thrashing. Wearing nothing but tight, black shorts and a breathing apparatus over his mouth and nose, the alpha’s wounds are heart stopping. His body is covered in slashes that could have only been made by a lightsaber, cutting through his skin in massive lacerations that there’s no doubt that they’ll scar. A starburst-shaped blaster wound sits in the middle of his chest, one that continues to weep blood as he twists and turns against the liquid’s flow as though fighting an invisible enemy.
“Ren, stop!” But he’s thrashing in the tank, clearly confused and afraid and hurt. The medics and droids alike are at a loss of what to do, all yelling for the alpha to remain calm or else they’ll have to tranquilise him; Hux knows that Kylo’s powers and drugs do not interact well. Already, the glass of the tank looks as though it’s about to crack as the alpha presses his palms against the sides, wanting to break free.
“I know you can hear me,” Hux says, trying to keep his panic at bay as he steps up to the glass of the tank, staring up at his mate’s pained expression. “You have to calm down, Ren. You’re only going to make things worse. Please, just relax.”
The omega expects Kylo’s voice to fill his mind like it usually does when words won’t suffice but all he can sense is his mate’s fear. The pain of his wounds and the grief of losing to the Jedi and witnessing the death of one of his Knights is all too much for the wounded alpha, his amber-coloured eyes wide and terrified.
“Kylo? Kylo, listen to me,” Hux takes his right glove off and presses it to the tank, taking calming and cleansing breaths to focus on the feeling of the claim mark on his neck; the source of their bond. “Just listen to my heartbeat, okay? Nothing else. Just me.”
Their bond thrums with energy, pulsing now with each beat of Hux’s heart, the focal point of Kylo’s life. Hux sighs. Regardless of the situation, it’s the only way the omega knows how to bring calmness back to Kylo’s tumultuous and tormented mind; after nightmares, during fits of blinding rage, before the darkest nights creep up on him. The comforting sound of Hux’s beating heart soothes Kylo to no end; now should be no different.
Hux watches as his alpha’s breathing begins to steady and his movements stop, his darting gaze coming to rest upon Hux on the other side of the glass.
“That’s it,” Hux whispers. “I’m here.”
Kylo swallows hard, lifting one of his bloodied palms to mirror where Hux’s rests on the tank’s surface. Composure returned, the medics and droids continue their work around the mated pair, careful not to disturb them.
‘Hux,’ Kylo projects, his voice weak and hoarse inside of the omega’s mind. ‘I lost…’
“There’ll be time to grieve, Ren, time for all of you.” Hux replies softly, looking back over his shoulder to see the Knights standing at the door, all leaning on or touching each other in some form. The omega pouts sadly, wishing he could find words to aid them but he can’t fathom their loss so he turns back to his mate, wiping away his falling tears. “But you must heal first, yes? I…we can’t have you hurting yourself like this.”
Kylo rolls his eyes. ‘Yes, my love.’
“Do not take that tone with me, Kylo Ren,” Hux pulls his hand away from the glass to point at the alpha on the other side. “I could have lost you today.”
‘You didn’t. Your heartbeat saved me.’
Hux bites his lip, unable to take any more. “Yes. Well. You promised me that you wouldn’t stop until I’m king, remember? And am I king yet? No, I’m not. So rest up and get back out there, hm? You’ve got a galaxy to conquer.”
An echo of a chuckle rings in Hux’s mind, making him smile in return, but Kylo’s presence is fading as unconsciousness lurks and Hux can only watch as his eyes slowly close and the sound of the respirator fills the room.
No one comments when the Grand Marshal begins to nest in the treatment room, creating a snug nook beside Kylo’s bacta tank where he spends his free time whilst his alpha is healing. The remaining Knights lock the door at night and find comfort in Hux’s presence, joining him in his nest next to the tank until they’re all sleeping in a pile beside their alpha, waiting for him to wake.
A pack always takes care of their own.

Avatar: The Rise of Kyoshi spoilers (ch 5-8)
Kyoshi unknowingly outs herself as the Avatar and she goes on a diplomatic mission to stop the Fifth Nation.
Spoilers down below
The story so far.......
Chapter 5
Kelsang gives us exposition on what life was like during Kuruk’s era and the events that came after his death.
The reason Kelsang believes that Kyoshi is the Avatar is because the poem she recited was one Kuruk wrote. Kelsang is the only one who knows this poem (more on that later).
As mentioned before, Kuruk’s team Avatar consisted of Jianzhu, Hei-Ran, and Kelsang. The four of them were close but because they were young and living in a peaceful time, the team eventually drifted apart. Jianzhu went home to take care of some family affairs, Kelsang went back to the Southern Air Temple to become the leader, and Hei-Ran became a teacher and got married. Kuruk dying young led to each of them believing that they failed in preparing their friend for his Avatar duties.
Kuruk’s first love was Hei-Ran (she liked him as well). The reason Kelsang knew about the poem Kyoshi recited was because Kuruk was planning on reading it to Hei-Ran as a declaration of his love for her. Kelsang talked him out of this because Hei-Ran was already married by that point. Not cool, Kuruk.
The longer it took for Jianzhu and Kelsang to find the Avatar, the more the sages began to panic. They thought the Avatar cycle has been broken.
Jianzhu and Kelsang meet Yun by chance during their search for the Avatar. Yun was so similar to Kuruk in his earth bending skills and being a master of Pai-Sho (Kuruk was a master Pai-Sho player), Jianzhu and Kelsang were convinced enough to believe that he was the Avatar. After years of searching I don’t blame for grasping at straws at the time.
Kyoshi refuses to believe that she is Avatar and she asks to keep it a secret for the time being.
The only two things Kyoshi has in her room back in her street orphan days is a trunk and a notebook. Keep note on these two items because they will come into play later.
Chapter 6
This is a short chapter.
Kyoshi finds Yun alone in a room. Yun wanted to get away from the party.
Kyoshi’s real job at the estate is being Yun’s maid. She doesn’t mind this at all because Yun’s her friend and has a crush him (she also likes Rangi but more on that later).
The training Yun went through in a previous chapter has left him scared of showing off his feet to Kyoshi.
Yun wants Kyoshi to come with him when the group leaves to negotiate with the Fifth Nation because out of all the people he knows at the estate, Kyoshi treated him as a normal person.
Rangi shows up as well and the three of them hang out. Kyoshi is happy with the way things are now and doesn’t want things to change. We all know that that’s not going to happen given who she is.....
Chapter 7
A LOT happens in this chapter
Kyoshi, Rangi, and Yun travel to the eastern seas on Kelsang’s sky bison, Pengpeng. Hei-Ran and Jianzhu are also going with them along with Yun’s water bending instructor named Amak. Amak is....shady.
According Kelsang, it is tradition for the Avatar to travel the world with their friends. However, Jianzhu revoked this tradition because he felt that enjoying one’s youth for too long is what led to Kuruk not living up to his duties.
We are introduced to the pirate queen, Tagaka. Tagaka is a water bender who’s family originated from the Southern Water Tribe.
During dinner, Tagaka reveals a dark secret about Kuruk’s friends. The secret being that the trio were forced to become killers in order to keep the world safe until the new Avatar was found.
Jianzhu is infamously known as the Gravedigger of Zhulu Pass. During an event known as the ‘Yellow Neck uprising’, (a ruthless group that rose to power after Kuruk’s death) he destroyed not only their settlement but buried 5000 Yellow Necks alive.
Hei-Ran currently holds the record for the most ‘accidental kills’ in Agni-Kai at the Fire Academy.
Kelsang is nicknamed ‘The Living Typhoon’. He would use his Airbending to create storms powerful enough to keep Tagaka’s fleet out of the Southern waters. Tagaka’s family has personal experience with Kelsang’s strength.
The trio each have a different reponse when confronted. Hei-Ran is silent about it (Rangi is somewhat aware of the stories because one of the victims was her mother’s very own cousin. This led to rumours about her mother being an assassin during her school days), Kelsang is remorseful for his actions because it meant violating his people’s teachings (Kyoshi doesn’t hold it against him), and Jianzhu is not sorry for what he did because to him killing those people was justice.
*Get use to Jianzhu’s attitude because you’re going to be seeing this a lot as the story progresses. In fact, you’re going to hate him by end of Act 1.
One of the pirates seems recognize Kyoshi from a’flying-something group’. Kyoshi threatens him to keep silent about and he obliges. (take note on this plot point.)
Everyone goes to the treaty signing the next day only for everyone to get attacked. It’s implied that Tagaka figured out that Amak, who’s the first death in the fight, was likely there to assassinate her and she counter attacked.
Yun is taken hostage by Tagaka. With no earth around her and her team incapacitated Kyoshi, in a last ditch effort, ends up summoning earth pillars from the ocean itself to destroy Tagaka’s ships. Kyoshi saves the day but in doing so Jianzhu now suspects she’s no ordinary Earthbender. It’s not a good day to be Kyoshi.
Chapter 8
Kyoshi wakes up back at the estate a three days later with Jianzhu at her bedside. Jianzhu reminisces on how when he first met Kyoshi, she was so terrible at Earthbending that she couldn’t lift small pepples (which is a beginner technique for Earthbenders), but after seeing what she did to Tagaka’s fleet he now sees her as a valuable ally if not the Avatar.
Jianzhu explains just how bad the Earth Kingdom is in his eyes. The nation is too big and culturally diverse to govern as one entity, The daofei feel entitled to raid villages because it’s “a part of their culture” to do so, and the Earth King’s power over the regions is ineffective. With no Avatar to bring balance to the world, Jianzhu made it his mission to keep the Earth Kingdom stable by forming as many alliances with influential leaders, nobles, and skilled benders from around the world to maintain order in the Earth Kingdom. The end result with this mission has made those alliances be loyal to Jianzhu and only Jianzhu. To Jianzhu, personal loyalty is the key to maintaining order in a nation.
Kelsang tells Rangi and Yun that Kyoshi may be the Avatar. Rangi does not take this well and accuses Kyoshi of lying about her identity this whole time. Yun on the other hand just walks away without giving a comment. When Kelsang is confronted by Kyoshi he states that his reason for telling them was because there was no point in hiding it anymore after what has transpired. Kyoshi doesn’t buy this and accuses Kelsang of using that as an excuse to have a ‘do-over’ with training an Avatar that’s more to him loyal instead of Jianzhu. Kelsang’s response?
“The time when any of us could have what we wanted passed years ago” (pg.113). To me this sounds like Kelsang has long accepted the mistakes he made in the past with Kuruk and would rather deal with the now than what he could’ve done over twenty years ago.
Once again this is not a good day to be Kyoshi. And things are going to get worse from here.
To be continued.....

Who do you think are the most overrated characters in ATLA?
What a controversial question xD Well, probably under the cut, for the best.
DISCLAIMER: if you adore any of the characters on this list, this is NOT an attempt to attack you or your peers, merely criticism on how the fandom behaves regarding certain characters.
Undeniably, the #1 overrated character is Iroh. A lot of people give him much more credit than he’s due, and he’s much more problematic than he seems on first sight. No doubt he has his fair share of good points, but he is far from perfect and he definitely isn’t the soul of the show for me, despite it seems he is for a lot of people. Proof of how overrated he is? His mere reappearance in LOK made people who had dropped the show return to it just because of him. Because SOMEHOW Iroh being there makes it all better.Truth is, no, it doesn’t make LOK all better. But how to argue with people who adore Iroh and refuse to see his faults?Iroh is not all wisdom, and he’s definitely not infallible. He’s also not the strongest firebender ever, sorry not sorry to burst that bubble but it’s a fact. Iroh was very questionable at many points in the show, and his relationship with his family is very complicated to say the least. Assuming he’s the only pure and good person in the Fire Nation Royal Family just because he was nice to Zuko is one of the fandom’s biggest mistakes and one of my biggest gripes with this character’s interpretations. Not because Bryke decided to sanctify him in LOK, and make him the franchise’s most enlightened character of all, does it mean he really was that perfect. A genuine analysis of who he is and what he did during ATLA can prove as much. So… Iroh is very overrated. Very. I’m certainly interested in hearing about his past, as any fan would be, but I do think there are far more important things the show and comics should deal with than expanding on Iroh’s life. People who would rather hear about his past than about the grown-up lives of the Gaang (… or about Azula’s uncertain future) really baffle me as Iroh’s endgame is clearly what the show gave us. Do we really need to know more about his past than we need to know about everyone else’s futures? I’d like to know more about his past, as I said, but it is far from a priority for me compared to every other main character on the show.
Zuko would be my #2, of course, only because Iroh’s fans tend to be louder and more annoying when you get them going. But the constant praise to Zuko’s development, and ESPECIALLY the praise to his extremely flawed redemption that still leaves a ton of room for him to improve, and that also made him worse in many ways, makes me roll my eyes more often than not. That recent viral tweet about him getting the best redemption arc in the history of TV makes me wonder how much TV did that person watch at all. If Zuko’s the best redemption TV can do, I guess we’re really facing a terrible time for television shows.Mainly, Zuko is overrated because, just as Iroh, he’s credited for a ton of things that aren’t true. There’s a lot of problems with his character that go unaddressed, and a lot of people are happy to describe him with a lot of praising adjectives that I have no idea what relation they could possibly have with his character. Proof of the messed-up understanding fans have of Zuko can be found easily in fanfiction: have you ever wondered why Zuko’s characterization varies so drastically from fic to fic? Whether fics trying to portray him in a good light or in a bad one, more often than not it feels like people are portraying him as who they think he should be, and not who he really is. Having a grasp on his character is difficult, way more difficult than many people believe, but it’s on great measure because of how hard so many people have it to actually see his flaws for what they are.I am not saying loving Zuko is a terrible thing, it isn’t, but some people love and praise the idea of him, and not who he really is. Careful, less biased inspection of his character can reveal he leaves a lot to be desired for a man who changed his ways and became the ruler that would bring peace to a nation he hardly knows or understands. His character development is a rollercoaster, and that’s mainly because of how deeply flawed he is: but you ask the fandom and he’s a cinnamon roll who never did anything wrong, or at least, whose every misdeed can and should be blamed on everyone but him. Because he is perfect, and so is his character arc. So, overrated, or misunderstood character? Hell knows, but the fandom really has turned me off Zuko’s character altogether.
The third most overrated character would be Toph, who, for all her great traits, often gets praised as a fully rounded character when, uh… to put it bluntly, out of the five top-billed Gaang members, Toph is the one who evolved the least. Her growth was exclusively about developing more bending skills, about becoming a stronger fighter, but she has some serious personality flaws that are never explored the way they should be. She barely ever faces consequences for her wrongdoings, which are often framed as funny, and when she’s in the middle of serious conflicts, she is absolutely never in the wrong, just as it is with her every conflict with Katara. In the end… she barely grows in anything but power level. Yet you look around and find a ton of people praising her as the greatest character of the franchise. While I see the appeal, and in her case I like her a lot better as a character than either Iroh or Zuko, I also think she’s not given a chance by the story to actually grow, and that stunted her as a character. Which doesn’t seem to bother anyone because she’s praised for anything and everything to no end. I appreciate her comic relief moments, the message she gives in regards of disabilities, but the show could have made better use of her character and didn’t, and nobody really seems to notice or care.
This one’s going to get me stoned I’m sure (if the first ones didn’t already :’DDDD) but my #4 goes to Kyoshi. Yep. You read that right.Kyoshi is no doubt a hardass, I’ve seen a ton of people praising her as the greatest Avatar of all. There’s a million Chuck Norris-esque memes with her, presenting her as the most unstoppable force in the Avatarverse, and you see people everywhere dissing Avatars like Kuruk, for being so lazy, or Roku, for not being decisive, blah blah blah, and saying she’s awesome for being 100% the opposite of that. What these funny people fail to notice, or maybe they simply don’t know the Avatarverse’s timeline, is that Kyoshi allowed Chin the Conqueror to take over the entire Earth Kingdom and only made a move against him to save HER island. She didn’t act until then, allowing Chin to take over whatever the hell he wanted to take during his rebellion, which, as far as I know, was practically the entire continent, with only Kyoshi Island and Ba Sing Se as exceptions. And the whole thing to help the Earth King to deal with the Earth Kingdom’s problems, by creating the Dai Li for his protection? It happened AFTER Chin died, she didn’t even do this to save Ba Sing Se from him because this is posterior to Chin’s mad quest. She did NOT act to protect the Earth Kingdom from a raving, rising tyrant until it affected herdirectly, and didn’t involve herself with the politics of HER OWN NATION until after they had boiled over and the Earth King had a peasant revolt in his hands. If she couldn’t be bothered to move to save her own people until the last moment, what guarantees that she did anything to help anyone else? How is she that great an Avatar?Sure, people think that, since she actually got involved in worldly events no matter how late she did, she was better than Roku or Kuruk. But in Kuruk’s favor he apparently had no war to deal with, and his wife’s loss is an unexpected tragedy for him. Roku actually kept Sozin at bay for years, and Sozin only dared act openly with his conquest of the world once Roku was out of the way. Kyoshi had a major war brewing in her nation and her best idea to deal with it was to split off her island so she wouldn’t have anything more to do with it. Because a separatist mentality is the best way to handle your Avatar duties (the greatest illusion is the illusion of separation, anyone?). Seriously, if Chin had been standing just a bit futher back? If he hadn’t fallen to his death? He probably would have taken Ba Sing Se later anyways and Kyoshi would’ve been chilling in her village until she noticed that the Earth King was dead. Oops.Long story short, Kyoshi is considered way too great for the reality of her actions and decisions. The fandom’s concept on her duty as an Avatar is absurdly messed up, and as cool as her character design is, as great as her displays of power were, she was actually a pretty bad Avatar if you get objective about what she allowed Chin to do for so long. So in my very humble opinion, the fandom’s circlejerk around her is more than undeserved.
I was planning on making this a top 5, but tbh I don’t think anyone else gets acclaim to the extreme in the way these four do. Everyone else seems to have a more moderate fanbase, or at least enough detractors that the people who praise them don’t come off as loud and annoying as they do for these four.
I’m not saying loving any of them is wrong, but there’s such abundance of praise for them, often for things they never even did, let alone for values they never represented, and yet they get interpreted by the fandom in whichever way the fans decide they like best. And somehow, the fanon interpretations grow more popular than what’s really there… which is truly annoying because these characters are fine the way the show actually portrayed them. They’re flawed, they make mistakes, their actions can be judged, they’re far from perfect: yet the fandom would have you believe otherwise.

ABO prompt 60 with Omega Hux and maybe the Knights of Ren?
60-: “Be a good Omega and bend over.”
It’s been almost three days since Emperor Hux sent word across the galaxy to his mate, informing him that his heat had struck unexpectedly. The Supreme Leader has been gone for almost a week on a covert, assassination mission that required stealth and caution, and disturbing him would mean putting him in danger of being discovered
‘I trust that the pair of you will take the upmost care on this mission,’ the Emperor had said to two of the Knights of Ren before dismissing them to fetch his alpha for him. ‘But hurry.’
“Emperor?” There’s a gentle tapping on his arm. The omega hears himself whine. “My liege. Wake up.”
“Kylo?” Hux is huddled up on his chaise lounge, wrapped in one of Kylo’s capes. He hadn’t realised that he’d dozed off but is alert in moments when he believes that his mate has returned to him but when the helmeted face of Vicrul Ren, disappointment floods his veins.
“We’re sorry to wake you, Emperor,” Vicrul says, and Hux sees the remaining three Knights kneeling behind their comrade, heads bowed. Not so long ago, a room full of alphas would have intimidated Hux but now, the Knights bring him comfort. “But the MD-droid has brought your medication.”
The Knight offers Hux a silver platter with two small, white capsules and a glass of water on it. With his heat needing to take its course, the most that Hux can do whilst waiting for Kylo is take specialist heat-pain tablets in the hopes that it’ll keep him sane.
“Thank you, Vicrul.” Hux takes the pills and swallows them, drinking the rest of the water for good measure. “All of you. Any word from Cardo or Ap’lek?”
The Knights share a look and, even with their masks on, Hux can tell that it’s a worried one. He holds his breath.
“No, Emperor. We haven’t been able to reach them, not even Master Kylo.”
Hux sinks back into his lounger and sighs, ignoring the itchiness of his skin beneath his silk pyjama shirt and shorts. It would be one thing to be in contact with the three Rens and be disappointed that their return journey is going to take another couple of days but to be left in the unknown, to not know whether the Knights are even alive is devastating.
“I can’t go on like this,” Hux whines, bringing his knees up to his chest, feeling the usual wetness of slick in his hole. He closes his eyes and imagines Kylo holding him in his strong, safe arms, hushing him as he slips his hand beneath Hux’s shorts and fingers him open. Another wave of arousal crests over the quivering omega and he almost comes from his thoughts alone but the sadness of Kylo’s absence keeps his climax at bay.
“Tell us what you need, Emperor Hux,” Kuruk speaks up. Vicrul bows now, too, like the rest of the Knights. “You are one of us and we will do anything you ask.”
“Vicrul,” Hux lifts his hand and beckons the Knight forward. He moves slowly as to not spook the drowsy omega, keeping his head bowed even as he kneels right in front of his Emperor. “You’ve been the most loyal of all your comrades, to both myself and to your Master. I…need you to help me.”
“My liege. I cannot betray Kylo—”
“No, no. Not…mmph. I don’t want your knot. Or your kiss. Just…some relief. Until Kylo gets here. If I continue to wait, I don’t know how much longer I’ll last.”
“Emperor—”
“You smell like him the most,” Hux sighs, reaching out to touch the cool metal of Vicrul’s mask. “And you sound like him. Please, Vic. Prepare me for your Master’s arrival. I can’t hold on.”
Hux watches with hopeful eyes as Vicrul stands up and, even with his mask on, Hux can tell that the alpha is undressing him with his eyes. He unfastens his trousers and reveals a dark purple cock, already erect and pulsing. Hux hasn’t the mental strength at the moment to ponder over Vicrul’s species, entranced by the alien member.
“You’re sure, my liege?”
“Yes,” Hux bites his lip. “Just touch me.”
“Then be a good Omega and bend over.”
And with those eight words, Hux feels himself shed his strong, royal identity and become nothing more than a bitch in heat. He barely has the energy to do as the alpha is asking him but he manages to kneel and drape himself over the curve of his chaise lounge, still clutching Kylo’s cape tightly in his grip. Vicrul is quick to manoeuvre behind him but otherwise moves slow once he’s in position, rubbing his erect cock over the soft silk of the omega’s shorts.
“Oh, Vic. M-make me come.”
Hux’s slick generously coats his thighs, making them shine, and he can vaguely recognise the yearning moans of the nearby alphas, clearly disappointed that they weren’t chosen for this honour.
“As you wish, my Emperor.” Vicrul wastes no time in sliding his sock between Hux’s thighs, feeling the heat of the omega’s hole against his member.
Hux gasps and hangs his head in overwhelming relief, bucking back against the alpha’s cock and wishing it were Kylo behind him, knotting imminent, but Vicrul and his rugged gentleness will have to do for now.
“Faster,” Hux takes the fabric of Kylo’s cape into his mouth and bites down, crying out in a loud moan when the alpha obeys and fucks his thighs as fast as he can manage, and the omega’s whole body rocks with the force of his thrusts. The heat between them is raw, and Hux wonders if he and Vic would have become something if Kylo weren’t in the picture, but he is and the claim mark on Hux’s neck binds him to the young alpha—and Hux wouldn’t have it any other way.
Vicrul’s girthy cock thrusts deep between Hux’s pale thighs, rutting over his most sensitive parts until Hux’s moans crescendo as he comes, convulsing beneath the alpha’s strong body, imagining Kylo behind him as Vicrul’s breathy moans mimic his master’s through his helmet’s vocoder.
“Oh, Kylo, fuck me, fuuckk!” The omega orgasms hard, so satisfied at finally having some sort of relief, and it isn’t long before Vicrul is coming too. The sensation of having a knot swell between his thighs is something Hux has never experienced before but he can feel the pleasure rolling off of the alpha in waves through the Force—perhaps he and the Knights are connected more than he thought.
“Hux,” Vicrul breathes, nuzzling the back of the omega’s neck. “Thank you. Thank you.”
“Mmm,” Hux smiles, dopey with pleasure. His thighs feel stickier than ever now that they’re covered in Vicrul’s seed as well as his own slick, making the room reek of sex. But before Hux can thank his Knight in return, his eyelids droop and he begins to doze off, smiling as he feels Vicrul lift him and put him down into a comfier position.
“Wait,” Hux says, as Vicrul pulls away. “I want all of you to be near me.”
The Knights don’t voice their acknowledgment as Hux drops into a light sleep as soon as he’s finished speaking so they gather around him. Kuruk and Trudgen remain on the floor as guards whilst Ushar sits himself down on on the lounger by Hux’s feet and Vicrul takes pride of place beside Hux’s head. With the Force, they lift their omega Emperor into their laps, his head resting gently in Vicrul’s and his feet in Ushar’s, who strokes over his dainty, pale ankles.
“Sleep on, my king,” Vicrul whispers, brushing his fingers through Hux’s copper hair, reaching out through the Force to try to contact Kylo again. He feels his Master’s mind this time, and smiles, knowing that the two will be reunited soon. “You are safe.”
