- everyone and their mother knows that poor Shinichiro was rejected 20 times. But they say the one finds you when you stop looking for them, and that’s what happened to Shinichiro when he found you. He gave up at that point, firmly believing that no one would love him and he’d die single. That is until a certain, girly walked in his bike shop, asking for a decent, good bike that’s fast. His heart beat up at the sight of you, you just looked so alluring and attractive. He was in a love daze as you were talking, explaining what bike you wanted.

- I think Shinichiro needs someone who is sweet and kind, and able to understand easily. As we see in the manga, he loses his patience and can be harsh when he’s in anger. He needs someone who is compassionate and willing to take any heat from him.

- of course he will try his hardest not to lash out on you when he’s angry. He’d be so sweet to you and lash out on someone else. But even that’s no good to you, like Mikey, he needs a moral compass. Someone who will teach him right from wrong.

- it’s very hard to grow up without a father figure and having to take the lead of raising 2 kids along with another raging teen, Shinichiro is an overwhelmingly stressed and needs your tender love to soothe him, you alone soothes him. The very thought of you staying by his side is comforting him in ways you don’t even know.

- He has the big brother personality engraved in him so he’s very protective of you. Headcanons include him always having his hand on you lower back, or him holding your hand, walks behind you all the time, shielding his arm around your shoulder. When you’re sitting down on a bench, he has his arm around the bench behind you with his legs crossed talking to you so close. (When men do this I always get butterflies😛)

- As in looks, he doesn’t really care what you look like either, though I imagine him as someone who prefers a girl with long hair like Kuroo does😭 he thinks long hair girls look like princesses. If you had bangs too, he’d be all over you. Kissing you as much as you let him.

It's kind of shocking how Hinata is so commonly characterized as someone who is perfect at making friends and is a 100% extrovert-- which yes, he is, but I think people are forgetting how much anxiety he has and how much of a people pleaser he is. I'm rewatching Haikyuu rn and I'm on S1 E5, and the way Daichi came up to Hinata and his immediate response was "I'll block, I'll set, I'll do whatever you need me to!!" And the way he makes promises he can't keep because he wants people to like him is kind of sad. I doubt he had many friends growing up other than Izumi and Kouji, and was probably bullied for being loud, obnoxious, and a weirdo for playing volleyball with the girls or being so into volleyball. So now he makes promises he can't keep and tries to go above and beyond for the team because he doesn't want them to get rid of him or not take him seriously. Yes, he's good at making friends, but I doubt he knows how or why. He's clearly worried that people are only friends with him out of convenience and his jumping skills; that since they play together, they /have/ to be friends. He just wants to finally be of use to someone; for someone to take him seriously; someone who won't ignore him around other people bc they don't want to be seen with him (silly funny little hc of mine 🥰🥰) . But that's also why Karasuno is so great, because they really are a family. They love Hinata and are friends with him, and they like him because he's a good person, not because they have to be since they play together, or just because he's skilled and they want to take that from him. And maybe at first, Hinata didn't realize that, since after being ignored and bullied and mocked, he thought the only way someone would possibly want him around was because he could help them win. And since he's so short, of course, taller, older, buffer players would intimidate him because they could easily take advantage of the height difference, so all of his bathroom encounters are NOT helping his anxiety 😭😭😭 and the puking??? When hinata threw up on Tanaka?? Everybody is always so focused on Yamaguchi's anxiety that they don't look at or even realize Hinata's anxiety. LITERALLY, THE ENTIRETY OF EP5 IS ABOUT HINATA'S ANXIETY AND PEOPLE PLEASING BEHAVIOR,,, WHY DOES NOBODY TALK ABOUT IT???? THE KEY SCENE LIKE 20 MINUTES IN??? (For ref, Daichi, Suga, and Kageyama are talking about Hinatas behavior, and Daichi imagines a scene: He hands Hinata the club room keys, Hinata says he'll take it, Daichi says, "I never told you where to keep it, so I brought it", and Hinata bows repeatedly saying he's sorry (about 6 times)) THAT IS NOT NORMAL!!! And then he's so worried about not doing well because he feels like he needs to make up for everything (his height, his lack of skill, his lack of experience on a team, the incident with Kageyama, etc), AHH HE LITERALLY SAYS, "This isn't like junior high...because I can be replaced! i have this bisexual!reader x kuroo fic in mind where reader is bokuto's childhood bff so theyve been meeting each other on/off since high school. reader however has since first year been in a relationship with a girl, so kuroos convinced that he'll never have a chance but pines for years and years and years (since reader is genderneutral itll be a bisexual reader, but kuroo thinks theyre [insert gender that the reader seems themselves as and then term for only attracted to women]). he never tells anyone this misconception (only cries about them 'being in a relationship anyway') so bokuto never corrects him.

fast forward to theyre 24-ish? and kuroo and bokuto both live with kenma to save money (it was an arrangement started when they were younger bcos why the hell is he so rich? how does he own a house?) and pay cheap rent to safe up for their own places (also ignore that msby's in osaka and kenma/kuroo is Not. this is my dream house JSJSJS) and then kuroos home alone for the week bcos kenmas out on business and bokutos on family vacation with akaashis family. kuroos been talking about this free week non stop where he'll be cooking himself delicious dinners and 'treat himself all the time'

reader and their girlfriend then breaks up after their like 10 year long relationship (theres a longer story here but im already rambling JSJWJ) and they show up at his door, forgetting that bokuto isnt home. they turn to leave but kuroo in a light pink 'kiss the fish' apron (theres a giant ugly fish on it and he bought it bcos he loves fish and it was funny) asks them to at least stay the night and sleep in bokutos room since its raining and late already.

i have all sorts of things planned for that week they end up alone and bonding properly, becoming fast friends. ive been working in this story since i made this blog actually KENDKDKSK 😭🧡 its just. hard to get around to writing it 😔👊🏼 its a super slow burn with not only containing plot from that week, but also from after and how they develop. i really wanna include tons of kenma and bokuto interactions as well; the snarky friendship comments from kenma and the ✨💕 bromance 💕✨ between kuroo and bokuto as big dynamics !! i think the reason its always been at the back burner is because im still undecided on How they end up confessing to each other. theres a few options being accidental in different scenarios and theres also some where its big and intentional and a lot of kuroo running while determined to let his feelings be known after being kinda constipated about them. its a hard knock life !!!

for kuroo, he is able to read me very well so easily. he simply holds me, bc i am not one to often share how i feel right away, i usually need to calm down first before i do so he holds me until im ready to speak. he usually strokes my hair and tries to talk about something funny (and stupid) that someone did at work or something bokuto did 😭

i think he is similar in the fact that he may need to decompress after a long day, so we just sit and hold each other in silence for a min before he talks. he also likes having his hair played with and kisses give him energy too.

we like going on walks together ! hikes also happen here and there too. i like taking pictures of nature (and kuroo obv, but i gotta catch him off guard to get good photos LMAO) and just feel at peace in pretty scenery! we often just indulge each other in ones hobbies bc i think we do a lot of different things (he’s more sporty and i’m more artsy) but we just enjoy each others company.

i’ll do ace as well, and say that it is hard for him to read ppl on an emotional level but overtime he is better able to understand when i’m feeling down. he knows im introverted so he will lead me somewhere where we are alone and can just talk or whatnot. if im not feeling chatty, he’ll just ramble abt mundane things, probably stories abt luffy and sabo LMAO. pretty similar to kuroo. he has a temperament so im usually the only one who can actually calm him down. i let him explain and vent when he’s angry, while stopping him from making rash decisions on things (as he’s known for).

since ace likes food so much we often cook with each other. he insists on trialing all foods i make 🧌 we also lie in the sun and take naps together.
