Kuroko x Older!Sister Reader

Title: Bambino aka Mini Me Fluff No Warning

You stood on the side lines watching your younger brother play. You never went to his games, and quite frankly people didn’t know you existed because you were always busy. Now you had all the time in the world to support your little Bambino.

“BAMBINO!” You cheered when he stopped the purple haired giant from scoring, and the buzzer went off. The sound of the nickname made him freeze and turn to you. You waved and he was shocked to see, you could hear people question what that meant and who you were talking to.

“Kuroko, who is that?” Kagami asked as he waved to you.

“My older sister.”

“Ehhh?!” Everyone kn the team yelled, including Kise, and Murasakibara. Aomine was surprised too as hos eyes traveled to your chest.

You ran down to where their locker room was, and waited. You didn’t notice a blonde and a dark blue haired guys were there as well.

“Are you really Kurokocchi’s older sister?”

“Yep, you guys know him?”

“We went to middle school with him.”

“Oh, okay.”

“How come we never seen you at any of Tetsu’s games?” The dark blue hair male asked.

“Well, it clashed with my volleyball games. Not to mention I am a university student, we are on break so yeah.”

“Nii-chan… what are you doing here?” You turned to see your cute adorable brother and hugged him.

“Break for the winter, so I get to support you.”

“Okay, will you be staying at home or…”

“Yep, you can’t get away from me my little Bambino…” Kuroko cracked a small smile at the nickname that he missed and hugged you back.

“He is so lucky, she is so cute.”

“No kidding.”

“Careful, I am in university. You guys are way too young for me.” You said.

“Age is a number.”

“Aomine no…” Kuroko said shooting his friend a glare.

“What?”

“No… no one is allowed to date her.”

“Hey first I can make decisions on my own…” You said but he shook his head.

“Sorry, but I hardly get to see my sister, so I require all of your attention when you do come.” Everyone sweat dropped even you as he went into the locker room.

“Has he always been like that?” You saw the red head confused.

“Yeah, can’t blame him. Our age difference often left me not spending much time with him.When he was nine years old he bit my ex-boyfriend because he was getting some of my attention.”

“That is really adorable… I am Riko.”

“I am Momoi, his girlfriend.” You whipped your hair to the pink haired girl and looked her up and down.

“Say what now? First no you aren’t… if I can’t date neither can he… secondly hi…” Everyone sweat dropped and Momoi blinked hiding behind Aomine.

“Don’t worry I am not mean… sometimes.” You said and they shook their heads.

“Anyway don’t you guys have a after game meeting.”

“Oh right. Come on guys.” Riko said and everyone went in. You waited patiently while Aomine continued to try and flirt which resulted in you and Momoi beating him senseless. It wasn’t long before Kuroko came out and you stood up.

“Bye Momoi, Aomine…” You waved and walked side by side with Tetsuya.

“(Y/N), how long will you be back?”

“Well it will be awhile because I am taking some time off.”

“Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, just needed to work on my mental health was effecting my grades.”

“I see…” You both fell under a comfortable silent and he smiled softly.

“You did good in your game, I was there from the beginning.”

“Thank you… how is volleyball?”

“Well…. I can’t play. I ended up hurting myself.”

“Are you really okay?” He showed concern and you smiled.

“Yes, I promise I am okay.” You ruffled his hair causing him to smile softly.

“As long as you are not lying to me.”

“Nothing you need to worry about.”

“You say that, but you are a hazard to yourself.”

“Says the one who fell and got a nose bleed in his first game.”

“Says you who was doing cheer and ended up punching yourself in the face.”

“Says you who was jumping on the bed and fell off and got a concussion.”

“Says you who almost got hit by a car.”

“Says you who almost cut yourself when cutting vegetables.” You both fell silent and began laughing softly.

“You really are a mini me…”

“Yeah, that is true.”

“Are you hungry, dinner is on me.” You said and he nodded.

“Okay, well lead the way.”

It was your first year of middle school, during his last year, that you started acting up.

Of course, Kiyoshi doesn’t blame you for it. After what happened to your biological parents, having to start living with your grandparents was difficult. Kiyoshi knew them well, but, by the time his mother had you, the familial relationship was in trouble - you probably only met your grandparents once until the two of you moved in to live with them.

And, on top of that, you had just started puberty. There was no one to guide you through that. Your old friends stopped talking to you when you moved away (Kiyoshi’s not sure why, but he always knew you deserved better), and your grandparents were old fashioned.

Kiyoshi can still remember how your grandmother scolded you that talking about periods in front of men was shameful, how she raised her hand as if to hit you, and he was the one who stood in front of you, protecting you.

He was the one who bought you pads and all your favourite snacks afterwards. He was the one who held you as you cried, yelling at the world for having killed your parents. He was the one who tucked you in, who stayed with you the whole night, because you’d fallen asleep against his chest.

Kiyoshi’s always been such a caring big brother - a guardian, a protector. And, after the death of his and your parents, he’s been the only one devoted to looking after you.

That’s why it hurts so much - when you start changing, towards the end of middle school.

It’s a constant war at home. You come back in the evenings stinking of weed and cigarettes. He tries to speak to you - because talking with him is bound to help you, you can trust him. But then the grandparents get involved, and they never listen to you, they just get angry. So you get defensive and violent.

One time, when you slip into the kitchen for a snack and get a lecture instead, you throw a cup at your grandfather’s face. Luckily, Kiyoshi’s got quick reflexes from basketball, but the event leaves glass shards down his forearm.

Grandmother starts panicking and wrapping a bandage around his cut artery. Grandfather is too shocked to be furious.

And you’re staring at Kiyoshi like he’s betrayed you. That’s what hurts most of all.

In your first year of high school, you’re even worse. Again, it’s a combination of factors, led by (he’d like to think) your concern for him. After his knee injury, it’s a struggle keeping himself positive all the time, especially when he thinks that his present condition makes it difficult to protect you from the men that he knows must be eyeing you up (if only you’d stop rolling up your skirt; he understands that all your friends do it, but they don’t have big brothers as caring as he is). In the end, you’re just an insecure teenage girl. You lose confidence if your big brother seems off.

That’s why - in some strange, twisted way - you start hanging out with the wrong crowd. In the evenings, on the rare occasions you do come home, your knuckles are always red. Often, there are bruises down your forearms and shins. Twice, you’ve come home with a broken nose. Once, someone had knifed you along your jawbone.

“Who’s been hurting you?” Kiyoshi asked, holding back your hair, as you washed the blood off. “I can’t let this keep happening to you.”

Smothering a laugh, you replied, “you should have seen the other guy.”

“You can talk to me. Maybe they’ve told you that they’ll do something if you tell anyone but-“

“Teppei.” You turned, wrapped one arm around him - in the first hug that you had given him in years - and pulled up an image off your phone. It depicts a man so bruised and bloody that who can tell where his face ends, and where the swelling from bruises begins. There’s blood smeared across his face, and the tears down his cheeks gleam against the camera’s light. In the background of the picture, just visible, is the foot of a man’s shoe on top of his head. “I mean it.

Your little sister is a bad, bad girl.”

It’s not your fault.

The next morning, when you’re still in bed and asleep (with your arm curled around the teddy bear that he gave you when you were five, the one you hide in his room in the rare occasions you bring friends home), Kiyoshi has a little glance through your phone. It confirms some of his suspicions (that you’re the one injuring, not being injured - there’s more photos of similar victims than he can count), relieves some of his worries (that you’re at least not hanging out with strange men, or getting into hard drugs), and raises a major issue.

Because, when Kiyoshi sees Hanamiya Makoto as the most recent contact, and when he sees the texts (“I’ve got a guy I want you to take care of for me”, “Hara says can Kiyo-chan please bring back some gum if she’s gone to get cigarettes”, “you did good today. See you tomorrow for some fun,”), his heart thumps so loudly in his chest that he has to rush to the bathroom to throw up.

Of course, it’s Hanamiya’s fault. The bastard’s been manipulating you all this time, making this monster out of Kiyoshi’s precious little sister, who never harmed anyone or anything as a child. Sure, you used to roll slugs in salt when you were little - but you were just curious, you’re a natural born scientist! And the time you stepped on the neighbour’s puppy’s paw, crushing all its bones, so it was in a cast for months - that was an accident, you were just a little clumsy as a kid!

Kiyoshi knows you better than anyone else. He knows you wouldn’t have become like this without the influence of the cunning captain of the Kirisaki Daichi.

Hanamiya’s been controlling you since middle school at least. Why else would you have chosen to go to Kirisaki Daiichi (though, when Kiyoshi had seen how hard you would study once or twice a week, how could he have said stopped you on the path to your dreams? You had said you wanted to make him proud)? Hanamiya was probably the fucker pulling the strings. Doubtless, you wouldn’t have gotten the scholarship if it wasn’t for him. And, maybe it’s his reputation that explains why Kiyoshi’s yet to hear about you facing any consequences for missing school, despite your not showing up for morning lessons most days.

Hanamiya’s messing with you. He’s a hateful, horrific villain, and he thinks that Kiyoshi can’t protect you when you’re in your school campus.

But he’s wrong.

Only a few weeks later, it’s time for the parent-teacher meeting. This year, like all your middle school meetings, Kiyoshi attends. He tells your grandparents that he doesn’t want them to worry; they tell him that he’s too good a child, and that his sister was born a devil. He has to be very careful not to lose his temper at their callous tone towards you. Everyone in this world, they’ve just misunderstood you. You do bad things, sometimes, but only because you’ve had such a rough childhood, and because your older brother wasn’t quite good enough at taking care of you.

“She’s a very good student,” says your teacher, confirming Kiyoshi’s opinion. He disregards how her leg’s been shaking throughout the meeting, and how her eyes widened when they met his - how quietly she commented on how similar in appearance he was to his sister. “She gets good grades. If she only applied herself a little more…”

“My sister’s a hard worker,” Kiyoshi’s voice grows stern.

The teacher shrinks back in her seat. “Of course, of course. And she’s not disliked by anyone in the class, no one ever has harassed her…”

“Is there something you want to say, teach?”

He leans closer. She flinches. The parent-teacher meeting is over.

Which leads Kiyoshi on to his next matter of business, now that he’s finally gotten onto the gated Kirisaki Daiichi campus.

He barely glances at the map, before storming across the grounds to the basketball courts. When he sees the indoor gym, he can barely stop himself from running in there and slamming his fist into Hanamiya’s face. He restrains himself though. It may be what the fucker deserves, but Kiyoshi can’t risk you having any negative feelings towards him. He can’t let you see him angry either. It’ll ruin your precious brother-sister bond, where you only know him as the one who kissed your plasters when you were four, and told you to go run home. Where you don’t know him as the one who threatened to snap the arms of the boys who had been messing with you in the sandpit, as they screamed that you were the one that had started it.

No, you need to know him as your role model. Your benevolent guardian.   Kiyoshi slams the door open.

Hanamiya’s there, grinning at him, like he’d already predicted that this would happen. To his left is Furuhashi, looking around with little emotion. By his feet is a man with a blindfold wrapped around his eyes, on his knees, with blood trickling from his forehead onto the gym floor.

As he hears the door open, he calls out, “save me! Someone, save me!”  “Shut your mouth.” You’re the one holding the chin of the man bleeding. You’re the one who swings your knee right into his throat, before glimpsing your older brother. “Teppei. Why are you here?”

There’s upset in your eyes, not much but some. Mostly there’s some kind of sick pride, like you’re glad Kiyoshi’s caught you in the act - but that could just mean that you’re glad to see your older brother in general.

“What have you done?” Kiyoshi’s voice is hoarse, as he stares at Hanamiya. The longer he speaks, the angrier it gets. “What have you done to my sister? How dare you use her as just your toy!”

“Toy?” Hanamiya starts to chuckle. “Teppei dearest, you’ve got it all wrong. Your sister was the one to approach me. If anything, I’m her entertainment.“

You snigger at that. Kiyoshi starts to feel dizzy with rage.  “Come here,” he pleads instead to you, “you don’t have to do this. I don’t care what Hanamiya’s said to you. Your brother’s here now; I’ll look after you-“

“What makes you think I need looking after?”

Someone in the distance laughs. The man on the floor starts wriggling; your heel comes down right onto his head, knocking his face against the ground, as you let your foot rest on the back of his neck.

“You’re young,” Kiyoshi says, slowly, hopefully, desperately, “you don’t know what you’re doing. But that’s okay-“

When will you go back to the girl that loved herself more than a guy who could care less about you? Will it be when he smashes your heart into ashes?

'Stop by my place...' speaking of the devil, that was his message that you were currently reading. Which wasn't helpful to your case at all, but that wasn't important. What was important was were you going to stop by his place or were you going to ignore him? And it may not seem like a hard decision to others, but for you it was.

You did not want to meet up with him, but it is so easy to give into temptation. Maybe something would change his mind, maybe he'd take things seriously, maybe you two would become serious, or maybe he'll break things off officially with you. So many maybes, and you still couldn't make your mind up.

"What do you want Nash?"

"Whoa... Not even a hello?" a chuckle left his lips while he stared at you.

"No, you can't get a hello. It's twelve in the mornin' and my dumbass wounded up here at your place... Now what the fuck do you want?" you folded your arms together, looking down at your feet.

"I can't ask you to come over? What's wrong with wanting to chill with you?" there he goes.

It was either him missing you, wanting to hang out, he needed help with something, or something slick that would easily suck you in to seeing him. Which would lead to you two fucking for hours, but this time would be different. This time you were determined to stand your ground against Nash.

"No Nash, you want somethin' from me. I'm not gonna stand here and act stupid anymore. You know damn well whatever is gonna come out your mouth next, is gonna lead us to your bed," you sighed, looking at him.

"[your name]..." he trailed off, stepping in front of you.

"I really do miss you, I miss us. We haven't been together for two months now, and it's been driving me crazy," another one of his bullshit lies to sucker you in again.

"Bullshit. Everythin' that came out your mouth is a bunch of bullshit and you know it..." your voice was low.

"You just wanna fuck me, and then you'll act sweet for a lil bit. Then we're gonna start arguin' and you're gonna tell me how we were never gonna get together anyways. You.Know.That.Shit," you could feel your eyes watering as you stared at the male.

Of course he was silent, because he knew every word was true. It was time to free yourself from his manipulation, and start loving yourself again. No more falling into his traps, no more crying yourself to sleep, no more believing empty promises, and no more letting yourself being used by someone who didn't deserve you in the first place.

Walking away from him as he stood there in silence hurt. Everyone tried to warn you about him, but you didn't listen. You were naive and stubborn and went back to him anytime he needed you. It didn't surprise you that he wasn't begging for you for another chance, the damage was already done. He already broke you, so there was no need for him to beg for you back.

"You look so good!" your best friend shouted, engulfing you into a hug.

You couldn't lie, you definitely didn't want to be here right now. But you'd feel wrong if you left your best friend in the middle of the club by herself, with nobody she knew. Then again, it was your fault for moving with her for a year to get some 'fresh air'. After your Nash fiasco, you wanted to start living your life again. Yet, she regretted it instantly.

Yeah, you looked and felt great. Anybody could feel and look great, but it was how you felt inside. Deep inside, you were still in the process of hurting. How could you move on the way he easily moved on in life? Better yet, how was he able to do it?

"Listen... I know you're not over him yet, but you gotta find a way to let him go. You told him your goodbyes two months ago now, it's a new era for you," she gave you a sympathetic smile.

Maybe for tonight, you'll cast those worries away. It was time for you to turn up and get a bit drunk since you were the legal age to drink.

Grabbing your hand, she took you over to the bar. There, you two had a few drinks before going to the dance floor. This is what it felt like when you weren't worried about deadbeat men? No, the correct term was boys. If this is what it felt like, then you were perfectly fine not worrying about him anymore.

As you were dancing tipsily, you could hear someone chuckling. It wasn’t [best friend name], so who was it?

"Wait, where's [best friend name]?" you looked at the male.

"Is she the tipsy one over there sitting next to my friend with heart eyes?" he pointed over to her, and he was completely correct.

She couldn't go a night without falling in love with a complete stranger? Honestly some things never phased you.

"Hyuga," he stuck his hand out.

"[your name]," you shook it, looking at him.

He was a cute guy. He seemed two inches taller than you, short brown hair and wore glasses. Looked like he didn't wanna be there, but was probably forced. But you weren't looking for a relationship now, you just wanted to have fun. So, you were gonna have to put Hyuga on pause until you were ready.

You grabbed a napkin from a random table and your brown lip liner, and began to write your number down.

"It seems to me that my best friend is makin' your friend a bit shy, so imma take her away from him now. Hope to see ya' soon, Hyuga," you gave him a slight smile.

So much for trying to focus on yourself.

For me Angry is the type of S/O that always needs assurance, he's love language is Physical touch and words of affirmation.

He didn't know what he liked about you! he just started staring at you when you two first met and then his brother asked for your number in his place.

You were always emotionless and would only show expressions if you really are feeling it. Like for example, you're eating your favourite food. YOU WOULD SMILE.

No, he didn't know you play basketball. GOD, he didn't even know you're part of the basketball team!!

When he found out, it was when the captains and vice captains of toman decided to play basketball but Mucho doesn't want to, so their short on players.

"I can replace Mucho."

When you said that, they just looked at you! inlcuding Angry...but later on they agreed and let you play.

You were the MVP of your team and you played basketball since you were a kid, they didn't know you would be a good player.

You had you're ball in your hand, just when draken was about to steal the ball from you...you did you're number one move which was called the "Phantom Shot".

With a smooth swerve around Draken, you did a 3 pointer shot.

After landing the shot you yellled '3 points' and looked at the other players who were looking at you in complete disbelief, even the people on the court that was watching earlier were speechless. You just shrugged it off...

After the game they started questioning you on how you did that, and there and then you explained that you're part of the basketball team and that you compete with different schools.

Angry would just look at you the whole time you're explaining, he wouldn't tell it to your face but he's fallen stupidly inlove with you all over again.

HAKKAI SHIBA

Just like Angry, I see this baby boi as someone with the love language of physical touch and words of affirmation.

Due to you being emotionless it was kinda hard to believe your words but everytime you assure him with a few seconds flash of your smile. That enough is good for him.

Hakkai knows you're part of the girl's basketball team, how? from his sister...You and yuzuha go to the same school which means you and yuzuha get to hangout more and you two are close friends!

The day of the competition, him and yuzuha did come to you and your teams competition. They were sitting right next to your coach and manager.

As soon as Hakkai saw you play his jaw was dropped, he didn't know his S/O was this amazing and cool! when you finished the game he didn't control himself and just kissed you there in public, making his sister and your team mates whistle and swoon over you two.

After that his face would be beet red and would stay quiet the whole time. LMAO.

MATSUNO CHIFUYU

Chifuyu already knows before you two even started dating! He's your secret admirer! he is a lover's boy!

He understands your lack of emotion but he also knows that your blunt and truthful to what you feel, so it wasn't any problem for him. Unless he feels insecure cause he is jealous.

You're part of the basketball team! and you're also the MVP! which means a lot of people likes you and would swarm over you after competitions.

If he feels insecure you would just hug him publicly and tell him you love him and that would make him a blushing mess but he would be cocky about it since you're his S/O and everyone looks up to you and wants to be with you, he would have the 'wish that was you' face. LOL.

He would attend all your competitions, He wouldn't care if it's far away! he will attend! and would make sure he is there to cheer for you!

He would also brag to his friends how awesome at basketball you were, at first his friends wouldn't believe since you always looked like you wouldn't be the type to actually play basketball...until they challenged you.

While chifuyu would just watch he would cheer for you as you win a basketball game with 5 players, tall players to be specific.

After the game they would compliment how awesome you are and Chifuyu would be all proud and would shower you love, kisses and cuddles after and also a meatball sub sandwich cause he knows you always get hungry after games.

TAKEMICHI HANAGAKI

This man is a simp, okay?...not like the disgusting obsessed type of simp! He's the good kind of simp that would always shower you love and affection and would always put you first!

He's okay with you not showing too much emotion, for him it's like a challenge to get to know you better, you know?

The biggest shocker for him was that you were part of a basketball team...How he found out? you jumped in during his game with toman captain and vice captains and just stealed the ball from his hand and did a 3 pointer shot.

Takemichi didn't talk to you for an hour because of the shock, while everyone was praising you and wanting to play another round but sadly you were busy comforting your lover so you had to decline.

"Michi...I'm sorry I didn't tell you, can you talk to me now?"

You would look at him with an emotionless face with your eyes tells him that you want him to start talking to you again. He would bite his lip until he would hug you and you two will talk it out.

When you told him everything he was shocked but would eventually smile at you and would tell you he will go to your games and would support you no matter what!

After explaining him everything, you two would go and play with the others one more time. Of course your team won and Mikey's team looses with a 5 point difference.

A Playlist?

Summary: Your friend gives you a playlist, but it has the same song on it

Pairing: Kazunari Takao x gn!reader

Warnings: confusion, bit of miscommunication, little bit of fluff

Word Count: 1,856

A/N: I actually went back and watched kuroko no basket because of an ask I got, and I ended up falling in love with this man all over again

"What are you doing here?" Midorima asks you, and you scoff at the annoyance in his voice.

"Can't I come and see you on a random day of the year?" you ask, and he rolls his eyes before turning around to shoot the ball, and you watch as it makes it in, the ball only touching the net.

You heard Midorima talking to Takao about wanting to practice his shooting at an outside court because the school's gym was closed for cleaning. You decided to tag along, but you're slowly regretting that decision as you jump up and down to try and get some type of warmth.

"What's in the bag?" he asks you, and you smile widely as you remember why you brought it.

"It's a present for you!" you tell him excitedly, and he gives you a confused look as he pushes his glasses up his face. "Oh, c'mon, it's not bad. Here, open it!" You hand him the bag, and he eyes it cautiously before accepting it.

You watch as he slowly opens it like he's waiting for something to jump out at him. When he pulls out the item, he holds it in front of his face before looking back at you. "It's a doll that looks like you," you explain, even though he should be able to obviously see that. "My sister made it for you. She says that you're her favorite basketball player."

You see his expression soften slightly at the origin of the doll. "It's cute, right?" you ask, and you see him tense up before he hesitates. Granted, it's not the best-looking doll out there, you would even say it's a little creepy looking. "Takao, come look at Midorima's present." You call your other friend over, and he jogs over to you, and he burst out laughing when his eyes land on the doll.

"Their sister made it," Midorima explains, and Takao's laugh seems to die down, but you speak up again.

"I guarantee that that doll will be your lucky item in about two days." You and Takao start laughing again, and Midorima rolls his eyes before neatly putting the doll back in the bag it came in. You sit on the bench, watching the both of them scrimmage with each other for so long, you don't know how much time's passed. But what you do know is that you're freezing.

You thought you had worn enough clothes for today, but you didn't expect it to be so windy today. You rub your arms violently as you shiver, and the sound of footsteps coming closer to you makes you look up. You tilt your head up to see Takao standing in front of you, holding his jacket in front of you.

"Here. Take it," he tells you, and you thank him as best as you can through your chattering teeth before taking the jacket and slipping your arms inside. You take a deep breath in as you feel the warmth surrounding you, and his scent overflows your nostrils. You snap out of whatever trance you were in, looking back at Takao.

"Thanks," you tell him softly, and he stares at you before nodding his head. It looks like he's about to say something else, but Midorima calls his name and he's jogging away from you and back onto the court. While you're busy working on warming yourself back up, Midorima is looking at his teammate with a certain expression.

Takao raises his eyebrows as Midorima pushes his glasses up. "You're not getting tired are you, Shin?" he asks, playfully, but the look he's giving him is making him nervous. He doesn't say anything, but he glances in your direction, and Takao feels his eyes widen slightly. He hasn't figured it out, has he?

"You should say something," he tells him bluntly, and he waves him off with his hand.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he responds, feigning ignorance.

"Takao!" you call out, jogging a little to catch up to him in the hallway. He turns around, a smile appearing on his face when his eyes land on you. You reach out with his jacket in your hand. "Thanks for letting me borrow it," you tell him, and he takes it from you, and he hopes you don't notice the hesitancy in his movements. He liked seeing you in his jacket. As a matter of fact, it was all he could think about the rest of the time he was practicing that day.

"It was no problem." He puts the jacket on, and the first thing he notices is how much it smells like you now. He has to refrain from bringing the material up to his nose and breathing in deeply. You're saying something that he doesn't catch, and you start to walk away, but he stops you. You turn around, your eyebrows raising in concern when you see his face turning pink.

You wait for him to say something, walking a little bit closer to him. He sticks his hands in his pockets, looking down at the floor before he reaches into his backpack. He pulls something out, handing it to you. You take it, confusion written on your features as you see that it's a CD. "I made you a Christmas playlist," he tells you sheepishly. "Since you said you love Christmas music."

The confusion on your face is replaced with joy as you look at the disc, your name is written on it with Christmas decorations surrounding it. "Oh, wow, thanks! I'll listen to it tonight." The bell rings and you say goodbye before running off to class, and Takao sighs, his heart racing like he just played a tight game.

You're about to start on your homework, digging through your bag to find your notes when your hand lands on the CD Takao gave you. You look over, grazing over the writing through the glass, and you decide to play it while you work. You put it in your radio before sitting back down, the first song playing through the speakers, and you immediately recognize it as "All I Want For Christmas Is You," the Mariah Carey version of course, and you smile at the sound of one of your favorite Christmas songs playing.

You hum to the music as you work, and you wait to hear the next song when it ends. You tilt your head in confusion when you hear the song playing again, and you just assume he put it on the playlist twice by accident, but you listen to it happily anyway. But then you hear the song play again. Then again. And again.

You start to think the CD is messed up, so you take it out and clean it before putting it back in. But your confusion is only fueled when the song keeps playing like it's on repeat. You take the CD out, looking over it. If something really is wrong with it, why would he give it to you in the first place? You don't think any damage would've been done by putting it in your bag, you made sure you were careful not to cause any.

Then you think about it. What if he actually made the playlist with only this song? You lean back in your chair as you think. Wait. You shake your head slightly at the conclusion you come to. There's no way that was his intention, right? Was this his way of hitting on you? You have to admit, it'd be just like Takao to do something like this, but at the same time, it could be a joke.

But if it was a joke, he would have been more willing to give it to you. You think back to when he handed you the CD. It was kind of hard to tell because you usually don't see him that way, but he seemed nervous.

Your homework was completely forgotten, and you spent the rest of the night figuring out what it meant. Even as you were walking through the hallways the next day, you tried to convince yourself that you were overthinking it, that there's no way that he could possibly like you. Right?

You're so busy arguing your thoughts that you end up running into someone in the middle of the hallway, and luckily you catch your stuff before it falls out of your hand. "I'm really sorry, oh, Takao."

"No, it's my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going." You both linger in the hallway awkwardly, avoiding eye contact. You didn't think you'd see him this soon, you don't really know where to start.

"Listen about that playlist," you start, but he's quick to cut you off.

"Oh, that? Don't worry about that, it was just a joke," he responds quickly, and you feel your shoulders slump a little. You really hoped it wasn't, and you struggle to say what you want to say, but you figure that everyone gets rejected at some point.

"Really? Because I was hoping it wasn't," you reply easily, and you're confused when you see his face morph in surprise and relief?

You watch as he seems to freeze in his spot, and you tilt your head in concern as you step closer to him. You reach your hand out to touch him. "Takao?"

When your hand lands on his arm he jumps, seeming to be out of the trance he was in. "Wait, wait, do you mean that you feel the same way I do? Like, you like like me?"

You chuckle slightly at the way he's babbling, and you nod as you slowly slide your hand into his. "Yes, Kazu, I like like you."

You think he short circuits again, but then he's coming back, lacing his fingers with yours. "Okay, so now ill have to tell Midorima that he was wrong. That confessing my feelings for you through a playlist was ingenious."

You laugh a little louder. "It is something that you would do." He flashes you that smile that makes your heart race, and this time is no different.

"Hold on, now I have to ask you out on a date." You smile even harder at the sudden subject change, but then he's shaking his head. "Is it okay if I ask you after school? I'm still a little shocked at the fact that you like me too. I gotta get myself together first."

You laugh again as you nod. "If you want to, but you know I don't care."

"I know, but I want to ask you properly, you know?" You're about to respond when Midorima comes up behind him and pulling him away by the collar. "Wait, Shin, wait I'm not done yet." Midorima doesn't listen, instead responds with something about him needing to get to class and to stop holding you hostage.

"I'll ask you out after school, okay?" Takao yells before he disappears down the hallway.

Of course, he's still a nervous wreck when he asks you out, but to you, it doesn't matter, your answer was already yes.
