You took your phone out of your bag to check the time as you walked towards the school gym. If you remembered correctly, Atsushi's basketball practice should have ended around five minutes ago. It was the last practice session of a very busy season, so he'd promised to take you out as soon as it was finished. When you asked where, he said it was a surprise and that he'd take you there after practice. The more you thought about spending the evening with your beloved boyfriend after a few weeks of barely seeing him outside of school, the giddier you felt. When you finally reached the gym and pushed the door open, you saw Atsushi talking with the other members of the generation of miracles as they walked out of the changing room. Even though most members of the generation of miracles were pretty tall, Murasakibara still managed to tower over them. He'd changed out of his basketball kit and into a loose fitting black shirt with short sleeves and grey sweatpants. His hair was also up- he knew that was a weakness of yours. You didn't mind that he dressed more casually- in fact, as you checked out his long, toned arms, you realised how much you liked it. As soon as Murasakibara saw you standing and starin at the door, he smiled slightly and walked over to you.

"Hey baby, you ready to leave after this ?" You opened your mouth to answer but Kuroko beat you to it.

"What ? Murasakibara and Y/N ? Why didn't anybody tell me ?" You tried not to laugh at the look of utter shock on his face as his eyes darted between you and Atsushi. Aomine cut in, frowning

"Yeah ! And why does he get to date someone that hot ? Y/N, if you ever grow bored of this dry ass man then you know where to find-" This time, it was Atsushi who cut Aomine off by shoving him in the opposite direction to you.

"Over my dead body," he said, glaring at Aomine. The latter simply smirked and raised his eyebrows

"Control yourself, Aomine. Anyway, you're all just idiots. This has been rather obvious for a few weeks now. Whenever Murasakibara has free time, he spends it with Y/N, and he always takes every opportunity to text them during practice. Akashi has noticed it too. While I normally wouldn't condone dating within a friendship group, their signs are perfectly matched," Midorima explained, a triumphant look on his face, while Akashi stood there silently. You hadn't expected much of a reaction from him, because you realised on some level he'd always known, and had given you and Atsushi small windows of time in which you could meet and talk all throughout the last basketball season. When you'd thanked him for all his help, he'd just nodded and smiled slightly.

You listened and tried to hold in your laughter as Aomine and Midorima began to squabble over his remark. These guys were idiots, but they were your idiots. They'd been your best friends since middle school and you were glad that you finally had the opportunity to share this with them. Kise finally broke the spat, smiling in your direction as he spoke.

"Yeah, you guys really weren't as discreet as you thought. I mean, Murasakibaracchi literally has a picture of you in his basketball jersey as his phone lockscreen. Anyway, though I agree with Aominecchi that this is slightly unfair, I wish you two all the best. You look really cute together, as well as being well matched,"

"Yeah," Kuroko agreed, smiling at you as you blushed.

"Aww guys... thank you so much ! We would have told you earlier, but we were afraid it would change things between the group,"

"Nah. No matter what happens, we'll stick together. We've made it this far, right ?" Aomine replied, and the others nodded in agreement. Atsushi put an arm around your waist and looked at the guys.

"Now that you know, I'd appreciate it if you stopped wasting our time. I'm taking Y/N on a date tonight. Also, keep your hands to yourselves. Y/N is mine," he said, glaring at Aomine and Kise. You smiled up at him, your heart beating faster as he revealed this new possessive side to his nature. He squeezed you a little before hoisting you over his shoulder as if you weighed nothing.

"Wha- Atsushi ! What do you think you're doing ?" you asked, squirming in his grasp playfully.

"We'll get there faster like this,". He tightened his grip around you and you let yourself relax, breathing in his warm scent as he carried you out of the gym.

"Bye guys !" you said, smiling as Atsushi carried you out. The others smiled back at you, waving as they watched you and Atsushi leave the gym.

As soon as you'd left, Kuroko opened his mouth again

"So that's why Murasakibara was asking about where the rose garden was,"

Kise facepalmed and laughed a little

"Yes, it was. He wanted to surpris them with a truly romantic spot. God, you really are dense at times, Kurokocchi,"

I've got some more chronic Akashi brainrot for y'all...

I had re-watched parts of Last Game not too long and I remember the scene after Team Vorpal Swords won when Riko's dad bought a bunch of snacks and drinks for everyone to celebrate. While eating, Midorima asked Akashi (referring to the haphazard way snacks were spread across the table), "Are you sure you're okay with something so sloppy, Akashi?" And Akashi looked at him and said, "What are you talking about? We used to sit around and celebrate like this in middle school all the time."

It really stuck in my head for a reason I kinda mentioned the other day, when I was talking about Akashi's dynamic with Hayama. I won't explain that entire post, but I was mainly discussing how Hayama is touchy with Akashi but Akashi never minds, and the last sentence of my post regarding that was, "Akashi seems to be very unfazed whenever he's manhandled by his Rakuzan teammates which shows that he was never really that uptight about people touching him to begin with and people just assumed he was". This brings me to the main topic of this post: Akashi Seijuro and the assumptions the KNB cast has about his personality.

As I love to point out on this godforsaken app, Akashi has been done dirty by every adult in his life with the exception of his mother. So much of what went wrong in his 3rd year at Teiko was due to high expectations and the idea that Akashi was not allowed to be anything less than perfect at whatever he did, but at the root of all of this are assumptions.

False assumptions that he was able to handle such a heavy workload. False assumptions that he was ready to be captain in his second year. False assumptions that he was coping with stress well. False assumptions that he wasn't already cracking before he even enrolled in Teiko. He was let down so many times by so many people because people assumed he was okay when he wasn't and hadn't been for YEARS.

And I think it's a big reason as to how and why the rest of the Teiko gang unintentionally isolated Akashi back in middle school. They put Akashi on a pedestal and assumed that there was some sort of invisible barrier between him and the rest of the team. In the same way when, during Last Game, Midorima assumed Akashi would stick his nose up at... eating chips and drinking juice with the homies... everyone has this idea that Akashi is more haughty than he actually is? Akashi isn't haughty at all. In fact, the Replace Plus Chapters highlight the fact that he's the complete opposite. This boy saved a baby in one chapter, and as the mother of the baby profusely thanks him, he says "Anyone could have done that." As if he didn't showcase superhuman reaction time and reflexes by pulling a baby out of a runaway stroller coming down a hill at high speed right before the stroller was obliterated by an oncoming truck. 💀

These assumptions make even less sense when Akashi has already shown people how much he doesn't want to be put on a pedestal. Again, back to the scene in Last Game, Midorima assumed Akashi wouldn't be down for the "sloppy" afterparty, but Akashi had to remind Midorima that they'd already done things like that in middle school. Momoi has cute nicknames for every member of the Teiko gang except Akashi, who she refers to simply as "Akashi-kun". Maybe that was her assuming Akashi would never accept being called by a cute nickname. Never mind the fact that he already was being addressed as "Akashicchi" and "Aka-chin" by Kise and Murasakibara, respectively, and then later was being addressed as "Sei-chan" by Mibuchi. And you can't even argue that she didn't want to make Akashi uncomfortable, because Midorima has outwardly expressed before that he didn't wanna be called "Midorin" but Momoi just kept calling him that.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're shitty friends for doing this. I just think that there was a lack of communication within the Teiko gang, and in an attempt to respect what they assumed were Akashi's boundaries, they unintentionally excluded Akashi from activities that he would absolutely participate in if he had just been given the chance.

This post is long asf so I'll just conclude here, but one of my delusional headcanons for the Teiko gang post-Extra Game is that Akashi becomes more open with them about how he feels and also about wanting to be included in more of their activities, and so he finally gets to experience having a regular hangout with friends like a regular teenager. I just think he deserves that so bad after feeling alone for so many years.

Let me just say first, to imagine that this man doesn't already know how to speak Chinese is kinda hard

Like as the heir of an important family, he has to speak multiple languages

So in his case, I'd say it's more that he's not fluent in Chinese more than him actually not speaking of word of it

In any case, he makes it his mission to resolve that communication issue

Language? That'll never be a barrier for him

See, Seijurō speaks gentleman

No need for you to know what he's saying or vice-versa because boy literally doesn't have to talk to treat you like a queen, yk?

But sometimes you kinda have specific demands and there he actually has to listen and translate

Because he's a genius, the little Chinese he already knows + his ability of picking on context cues help him understand you without much translation needed

And in the rare case he's wrong, he'll note down the words and phrases he didn't get so he can enrich is vocabulary

He thinks it's more important for him to adapt to your language than for you to adapt to his

Like he doesn't want to burden you with learning a new language just for him

But if you actually want to learn Japanese, Akashi is the man!

He can be a tough teacher and something that's easy for him, might not be for the common person, which he has a hard time wrapping his head around

Shintarō never thought he'd like someone he couldn't understand, yet here he is

Maybe because you're so damn nice and pretty that he gets your vibe without even talking to you

But he didn't start dating you as soon as he took a liking to you; it's very important for him to be able to communicate with you first

So he started straightaway with learning as much as he could of Chinese language and culture

Listened to you very carefully to know which dialect you were speaking so he could learn this one specifically

He kinda got mad at some point during the process of learning, though, because some characters are the same and have the same meaning in both languages, but they're not pronounced the same

But he pulled through just so he can talk to you properly and get to know you better

When you tell him you're gonna learn Japanese, he's very supportive

He'll always correct you when you make mistakes though, which gets a bit annoying

But you know it's from good intent so that's alright

Will absolutely pester you about Chinese Zodiac so strap on, darling

Man will end up basing his luck on a mix of both zodiac signs and he'll definitely do the same for you 😭

Oh, so you don't speak his language and he doesn't speak yours?

That's absolutely not an issue to my man here

He actually finds this quite amusing

He relishes in all the miscommunications that happen between you, that's just entertaining to him

But he'll eventually start to realise that it's a bit of an issue on the daily

Especially because he's such a sweet talker and a sacarstic dude that he kinda gets frustrated that he can't communicate that to you

So when it comes to learning Chinese, you can bet he crams a lot so that he can be fluent enough to be witty

Gives you a hard time learning Japanese, though

He's the kind of fucker that has fun using complicated sentences and figurative language just to make you confused

So the only way to strike him back is by talking to him in dialect and phrases

Not sure which school you wanted me to write for, so i just made a scenario with Seirin + GOM/Vorpal Swords :>

Beach Training Camp!

Kuroko No Basuke with Tattooed!Reader

Kinda long, I like writing about KNB characters a lot, they're too silly.

It’s not like the guys hadn’t noticed the way you’d slyly pull down your already-long sleeves in front of them during practice. It got to the point where the team thought you were ashamed of your body, which led to a little intervention where they sat you down and started listing things that they liked about your personality, much to your confusion. They got really into it too: tearing up by the end. It was only until Kuroko muttered "You don't have to feel insecure around us, ok?" that you realised what they were trying to do.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because that's not the reason I wear long sleeves!" you laugh out, clutching your stomach. "I thought you guys were trying to kick me out nicely!"

"...So what is the reason?" Koganei asks, Mitobe nodding along.

You chuckle a little more, still amused thinking about how long they must've been thinking this way.

"...Don't snitch."

The moment you pull up your sleeve, their eyes widen in disbelief...

...and not long after, the questions come flooding in.

"Is that a lizard?"

"Idiot, it's a dragon."

"Does this mean you're in a gang?"

"I thought the age to get a tatoo in Japan was 20."

"How did you get that?"

"Is it real?"

You chuckle once more, used to this kind of reaction.

"I lived in America, and the state laws were pretty soft on tattoos as long as you have writte consent from an adult. Got my first one a year ago, and now we're here."

Some turned to Kagami for some kind of confirmation on those laws, but he just shrugged, equally as shocked as they were.

Anyway, the events of the big tattoo reveal were 4 months ago, and it's still funny to look back on, even in the backseat of Kagetora's car, as you talk with Riko.

"But really, I never thought you'd have an arm covered in ink."

You laugh again, before putting on a cheeky grin.

"If you thought that was unbelievable, you have more to look forward to." you snicker, reading her confused reaction. She scans your outfit for stray areas of revealed skin, but to no avail.

"The hell are you planning..."

As you turn up at the beach, helping to unload the basketball hoops from Kagetora's boot, you see some familiar faces waving in the distance.

"Y/N-chii! Over here!" yells Kise, soon met with Aomine's palm to the back of his head.

"Moron, we're in public, you know." utters Midorima, pushing up his glasses.

Akashi and Murasakibara sit at a bench; one studying the antics and dynamics of the other three, the other chomping on a box of ice pops.

"Hey, I wasn't expecting to see all of you guys here." you say, impaling the pole of the hoop into the sand.

"Kuroko invited us, I assume we can stay?" Akashi replies.

You nod, smiling. "Of course! We're just waiting on the him and the others now."

Riko grunts, "Seriously, how can you invite people and then be the person who's late!" she exclaims, kicking the sand in an animalistic manner, earning a few confused glances from the others.

You laugh a little, before turning away, bag in hand.

"I'm just going to change into my beachwear, I'll be back soon."

"MAKE IT QUICK!" Riko yells, as you nod.

During your outfit change, the Seirin team turns up, jumping off the bus.

Immediately, Kuroko is met by a slap to the back of the head.

"Kuroko! If you wanna invite guests, tell your coach first!"

Kuroko mutters a little apology, timidly side-stepping away from her.

Eventually, a match begins. The Generation of Miracles on one, the Seirin team on the other.

Aomine gets a steal early on, before realising he can't dribble.

"Aomine-chii! Pass to me, don't just stand there, what are you looking at?" yells Kise, before his eyes land on you, jogging over with a more comfortable outfit for the heat.

"Hey, have you guys already started playing?"

Everybody just stares.

"...Hello?"

Riko is the first to say something.

"Lord."

There you stand, both arms littered with tattoos, along with ink traced along you collarbone and across your back. And don't forget the thighs.

"...What?" You ask, confused by the sudden attention.

Kuroko's eyes are just a little wider than usual, as he says, "I thought you only had one tattoo." You shrug, "Well, I didn't say I only had one tattoo."

Akashi squints his eyes at you from a distance, scrutinising you with his gaze.

"They look nice."

Aomine makes a point to act unbothered, but inside, he's freaking out. "oh my god they're a gang member i'm literally gonna get my ass beat holy shit i'm not ready i haven't even won an oscar before oh jesus i can't die like this i'm too young"

Kise on the other hand is very loud, commenting on all sorts of things, “Did you get those done here? In America? I have a fellow model with a similar design to that!”

Murasakibara just stares like a confused child, just glad that you’re here so that he doesn’t have to move around as much.

Midorima is also a member of team act unbothered, but backs up a bit. Not that he thinks that there's anything explicably wrong with having tattoos, but more so that Oha Asa predicted that "Cancers, watch out! You may encounter something or somebody dangerous today!". In hindsight, it was a ridiculous action to take; you'd always been so kind and welcoming to him and his team in previous matches and practice games, but we wasn't going to take the chance.

Kiyoshi is the first, and only person to laugh; he also laughed when you showed the team your first tattoo, he just finds these kinds of situations amusing.

Hyuuga and Kagami take the scolding route, half-heartedly berating you as you look at them kind of confused, they don't really mean anything, they just don't know how to respond to this kind of thing.

Izuki finds a way to crack a joke about the whole affair, much to the surprise of absolutely nobody.

Mitobe and Koganei compare notes scrawled on a little pad.

"Ha! I predicted it! 7 tattoos!" Koganei exclaims, as Mitobe sighs softly and hands him a ¥1000 note.

You giggle and clap your hands together.

"Let's continue the match!"

Akashi, The Gentleman

Without a doubt, Akashi would semi-successfully push his feelings for you aside and attempt chivalry. He will offer the bed to you and have a backup plan for himself in mind. I think mostly, he wouldn’t want to overstep the bounds of the friendship you already have, and would be careful to not let his feelings for you cloud his better judgement and your comfort.

And you… well. I don’t think you’d want to force him to sleep on the floor. You’d reason to yourself and to him that there’s plenty of room for you both, that there’s no worry about close proximity making things feel weird. And you’d believe it until you feel the sheets moving with each breath he takes and feel the warmth radiating from his body so strongly that you swear it burns your skin.

Akashi is all you can smell and hear and feel and see. He’s a foot away from you and still overhauling your senses. Under his cloud, you reason: it’s kind of cold. Surely it wouldn’t be a big deal if you closed the distance. Right. He can’t be upset with you. Right? Right.

Right?

Without taking the time to talk yourself out of it, you press yourself against him and to your absolute shock, surprise, and excitement, he wraps his arm around you comfortably and tucks you into his side. He squeezes your arm, almost like a silent question: is this okay?

Your response comes in the form of nuzzling closer to him and making yourself comfortable: yes.

Hanamiya, The Menace

Listen. I hate him so much (no I don’t). He sprawls out in the bed and takes great pains to ignore you for a few minutes before his eyes slyly slide over to you and he quirks his brow with a smirk on his lips and says something like:

“You gonna lay down or stand there?” And when you make a face at him, trying to hide the reaction his words have on your body, his smirk grows and his eyes glint with mischief and he says, “don’t give me that look, darlin’.”

Your heart is hammering in your chest and your face feels hot because really he’s so fucking annoying and irritation sparks in your veins but it isn’t really because he’s so insufferable, and you know that- you know the irritation is jolting you because you like it and you like him and you like when he fucks with you and it makes you feel soft and gooey and hot like lava.

You try to avoid him. Really, you do. But the way he’s sprawled out makes it impossible to not be against his body somehow, so you settle with your back facing him, curled onto your side in the space between his arm and leg, spread wide like a starfish. Your head isn’t even on a pillow.

The closeness is so much for you. You swear you feel his eyes on you, raking over your skin inch by inch.

And then he starts touching you. It’s almost timid at first and you try to ignore the way his forearm fucks up your hair, feigning sleep with all your might, but you can’t ignore it anymore when you feel his weight shift as he rolls toward you, other hand sliding onto your thigh.

He takes your stillness as permission. And he wraps his arm firmly around your waist and pulls your back to his chest, fully enveloping you in his embrace. There’s no escaping him now. You wiggle a bit, trying to see how tightly he’s got you, when he pulls you right back.

“Stop moving,” he mumbles, eyes closed but fully awake, “I’m sleeping.”

And he wraps his leg up and over both of yours and there’s no hope for you to move.

He doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he’s thrilled. Kise looks at you, eyes gleaming and warm with a big smile on his face and coos your little nickname and says, “isn’t it wonderful we get to spend the night together?”

You hate how his words clearly mean multiple things. And on cue, you feel warm and bashful as the meaning of his words wash over you. Honestly, it’s rude.

“Watch it, or you’ll sleep on the floor.”

He gasps, dramatically resting his hand on his chest as his eyes grow wide with disbelief and betrayal.

“You would make me sleep on the floor!?” He covers his face as your nickname rolls off his lips once more, “how could you?”

Like always, his performance has you fighting a grin, trying to bite and swallow it down but ultimately losing that battle as it pulls at your lips. He peeks at you with one eye before covering it once more with his hand.

“Oh, the humanity!” He cries, flopping on the bed.

And now, you’re laughing, dropping your bag by the foot of the bed and crawling up too, enticed by his playful nature.

“Calm down, drama queen, I won’t make you do that.”

Instantly, he brightens, sitting up and pulling your hands into his, allowing his fingers to close over yours with ease, dwarfing them.

“You’re so kind and so good,” he praises, bowing his head and pressing his forehead to your joined hands to show his gratitude.

But then his eyes change, and they grow sly and he smirks at you with a quirked brow and speaks.

“I can think of several ways to return the favor of your generosity. Let me show you.”

I'm so excited this blog is back! I forget about KNB sometimes just because of all the new anime, but it is dear to me and so is this blog because of it!

For a request, and it can be a scenario or headcanons, whichever you prefer, can you do Kuroko, Kise, and Himuro's reactions to their (mutual) crush getting roped into doing one of Kise's photoshoots with him?

Like the shoot is stalled because the model supposed to be opposite of him is late (could be due to traffic or maybe they have prima donna syndrome and holding up the shoot to have their demands met), and when crushicchi happens to pass by and stops to chat with Kise, the director or photographer sees them interacting and thinks, "…yeah, that'll work!" And then suddenly they're swept up in a whirlwind of hair, makeup, and wardrobe before they're urged on set and just told to act like Kise's their boyfriend in the pictures. (He's certainly not gonna have a problem with it!)

As far as how Kuroko in Himuro are involved, it could be that that one or both were already hanging out with their crush before their hangout session got interrupted by everything, or maybe they won't find out until they see the ads until later when they get published, it's up to you. Sorry if this was really specific.

You were beginning to think you should have never answered Kise's call.

As the makeup artist dabbed an oversized puff to your face, spreading around powder that would mattify your foundation, you had to resist the urge to sneeze. As your own makeup artist turned away from you to pull out an array of eyeshadows, you took the opportunity to glance at your companion.

Beside you, in the seat right next to yours, Kise is sitting as still as a statue while his own makeup is applied. He looks downright professional, closing his eyes at the appropriate moments and holding his breath to stay as still as possible.

"What kind of photoshoot is this anyway?" you ask to anyone willing to answer.

"It's a campaign for a new set of matching women's and men's clothing," your makeup artist replied, using one of her hands to tilt your chin up. As she pressed a small brush of color to your eyelids, she continued, "Things like pajama sets, outing clothes, and swimwear."

You flinched away from your makeup artist in surprise at her words. Pajama sets? Outing clothes? Swimwear? "Kise, this sounds like a couple's photoshoot."

Your only response from the blonde was an amused smile as his artist began powdering his face.

Kise was not a conniving man and to say it was his fault his original costar for the photoshoot got a violent case of food poisoning would be a lie — how was he supposed to know the pasta on the snacks table had been sitting for a while and was no good?

he already had you on speed dial the second he heard his costar had fallen ill; not because he especially wanted to do the shoot with you or anything, but because you owed him a favor

he spends a lot of the photoshoot smiling more than usual — the photographer actually has to scold him for once about keeping that dopey grin off his face

during the entire photoshoot, Kise is taking the opportunity to brush his hands along any skin of yours that was deemed appropriate for the photos — pajama sets? he's got his arms wrapped around you; outing clothes? he's holding your hands or wrapping his arms around your shoulders; swimwear? this is where he hesitates a bit...

he's never seen you so exposed and to say he wasn't enjoying the view would be a lie, but he was a professional, so he did his best to hide his excitement and settled for placing his hands on your exposed waist

all in all, you actually end up having a fun time and, much to Kise's pleasure, tell him he can call you as a backup plan whenever

The next day, Kise was on the phone with Kuroko, holding him hostage in conversation and retelling all the events from the photoshoot.

"Kurokocchi, it was so cute!" he gushes, holding his phone close to his ear so he could make sure Kuroko heard every tone and inflection in his voice; he was so happy. "____cchi looked amazing in every outfit and the photographer and makeup artists loved having them around! ____cchi even said I could call again if I ever need an emergency costar!"

On the other end of the call, Kuroko merely gave a disinterested hum. This only spurred the blonde to continue in his ravings, mentioning all the different types of pictures the two of you had to take.

"It got a little romantic near the end when the date night clothes came out," Kise reminisced. Then, as an after thought, he added, "Oh, I should send you my favorite ones! I was able to get copies."

"You really don't have to do that," Kuroko tried to say, but he was interrupted by Kise's continued rant.

"I think you'll really like this one. ____cchi and I look like an actual couple! Maybe we could even—" There was a click on the other end of the line. "K-Kurokocchi? Did the call cut out? Hello?"

it wasn't that Kuroko wasn't listening to his blonde friend, but the moment Kise had mentioned your name as the costar he'd done the photoshoot with, Kuroko had lost all interest in the conversation

he didn't hate you — no quite the opposite, in fact; Kuroko was just having a really hard time listening to Kise gush about you as if you and the blonde were already a couple

when Kise didn't get the hint and sent over a picture or two from the photoshoot, Kuroko didn't open them at first; he didn't want to see you in such close poses with a man who wasn't him

eventually curiosity gets the better of him and Kuroko does end up looking at those pictures — he's trying really hard to ignore Kise in them, only wanting to look at you

he finds that if he zooms in, maybe even crops out his friend, he can smile more at the picture instead of feeling that burning coil of jealousy in his stomach

instead of responding to Kise, Kuroko begins texting you about the photoshoot instead; even if he's feeling jealous over who you had to take pictures with, he still wants to congratulate you on a job well done

It was weeks later that the photoset was released to the public and, in your excitement to see yourself in a magazine, you headed over to the nearest convenience store. Tagging along with you was your classmate, Himuro, and his tall friend from basketball — they were on a grocery run.

As you stepped into the aisle where all the reading material was kept, your eyes were instantly drawn to the magazine in question. "Holy shit, he didn't mention we'd be on the cover."

You picked up the magazine to flip through it, Himuro behind you as he looked over your shoulder. He was silent as you flipped through the pages, looking at all the photos that had made it through to the final cut.

"You look really good in these," he comments, leaning ever so slightly to get a better view — he was looking at you, of course, not at the pictures.

The compliment brought a light flush of color to your face and you smiled at him in return. Placing the magazine into your grocery basket so you could purchase a copy, you trailed along after Himuro as he lead you through the store for the rest of the grocery trip.

on the outside, Himuro had a rather calm appearance about him; nobody would really know that on the inside he was seething about the pictures he saw

his amazement at your skill — despite it being your first photoshoot, nonetheless! — had been genuine at first, but then you flipped onto the page where the swimwear was being displayed

to say his blood ran cold when he saw the way Kise was holding onto you in that photograph would be an understatement; Himuro wasn't stupid and, even through a picture, he could see the desire Kise had in his eyes that day

he tries to move past his feelings of jealousy; after all, at the end of the day, Himuro was the one who saw you the most often since it was his school you attended — he had you to himself most of the year, he supposed he could share you a little

later on he asks you which of the photos you had taken was your favorite — he still wants to show you that he's interested in what you like to do — and he's mentally ecstatic when you show him a picture that isn't so intimate

he asks for a copy of that picture and places it as your icon in his phone; of course, it isn't his fault that Kise gets completely cropped out, the whole picture just wouldn't fit...

Yoh as a Stoner Headcanon

A/N: Well, to give content to the other fandoms I mentioned on my blog as I know I have a few non-KNB followers (or who are KNB followers but also are part of one of my other fandoms), I decided to make a Shaman King headcanon!

-Alright, first of all it's so obvious they're going to take that direction with his character. The way the Asakura family symbol doesn't just resembles a tree but also weed and his love for a Bob Marley-esque figure. Besides, lots of shamanic tribes use drugs for their rituals anyways. -I bet his favorite American animated series would be Scooby Doo as well. -He illegally grows his own. -He asked HoroHoro for agricultural advice. -As a thank you, Horohoro is allowed to smoke of his stash whenever he comes over. -Often when he's very far gone and alone, he starts talking to Hao. It often leads to the most weirdest conversations with Hao always leaving whenever he's done with Yoh. -Hao is not the only one subject to Yoh's stoned rambling though. Once, when he was high as a kite he ended up calling Ren, much to the latter's annoyance. -This pissed Anna off considerably, because international phone calls are expensive. Yoh would not make this mistake ever again. -I think he's definitely experimented with bongs on his middle eastern travels. -As he told the shamans over there, "If everyone was stoned more often, there would be world peace." -When he's actually high enough, he'll listen to the Boz brothers. -Sometimes, he, Ryu and the Hanagumi waitresses get high together as a form of employees meeting. Much to Anna and Tamao's annoyance. -Kanna has a habit of stealing from Yoh's stash, he always pretends not to notice it. -Considering Yoh's laid-back attitude irritates Hana, he can actually go to tantrum level when he's high. -Yoh's stoned reaction to pain only makes it worse, so usually Hana just leaves when he gets tired of being angry with him. -On the topic of fahter and son, I believe Mickey got him into it. From their shared love for Soul Bob, to Mickey's band being a Beattles rip-off who have their alleged drug history and Mickey's sus hang outs with other shamans he meet on the mountains, Mickey is definitely doing drugs as well. -The two have definitely shared a joint over a BBQ. -And they annoyed Hao endlessly. -Hao honestly hates and loves how they're bothering him whenever they're too stoned to function. Hates it,  because they're truly annoying. Loves it, because he secretly longs for family connection after all. -Which they know, hence why they do it. -So really, getting stoned is almost like a family thing, which brings it back to how the Asakura family smbol also looks like weed. -The Asakura family is certainly stimulating the shamanic spiritual drug use, that's for sure.
