(1/?) redesigning of my puppet characters. Usually I was a big fan of one Pacific game. You probably heard about it. Showdown bandit. But it started to make these puppies, their own species.

What do you mean by that you may ask? Not by humans, they control on their own And they have a cycle that it’s so bizarre that even batrex would be so confused

Not just that, the mythical creatures and the spirits are also bizarre too.

After posting the redesigns((there’s one, but I wanted to keep as a surprise)) I would explain about these puppets

Kurio, this time!

After making peace with the changes of the world he once knew and his faith's seldom mentioned rough side, the monk Kurio found solace in teaching his fellow Sky children the ways of Light's faith and the occassional adventuring with his sister and their Krill kid best friend. For his efforts, he earned the respect of his twin masters Samekh and their Priestess of a mother Samekh-- As well as the latter's Priestly Pendant, to symbolize his position as the sole living spiritual leader in Horizon.

Though he remained as gentle and cheerful as ever, Kurio is no longer meek; Armed with a new Folding Shield and improvised dominion of air, he will face anything and anyone who threatens the innocent without hesitation.

A minute of Empire Moths as vines

I wish I could make this longer but I got burned out in the end :" STILL DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT THIS SILLY FANFIC CHANGED THE CHEMICALS OF MY BRAIN FOREVER

To my fellow creative, my inspiration, and my dearest friend, @dogedepan I wish I was better at words and birthday wishes. But I'm not. It's hard for me to express sometimes just how much weight and importance you hold in my life. And the recent few months, when my life was and still is chaos, and you stuck by my side and always landed an ear and reassuring advice, proved it. I can never truly explain in words how much of an influence you are to me, both as a friend and as an artist- the way you write and draw, the way you build your characters and worlds is a unique show of high skill and true love for your craft, in which you excel. I can't explain how much you mean to me in words, so I hoped that this silly, cheezy, and short complication of your characters who have a special place in my heart will be able to pass down at least a tiny bit of care I feel towards your creations and you. Happy birthday, Chi, and I hope I will get to celebrate many of your birthdays to come <3

Some fun facts about Kurio! Rotating this guy on the mind a lot lately.

The first meal Kurio had after falling into the Horizon was a raw steak. Manta steak. To this day, he still loves raw meat

Kurio is transgender! He named himself after his late older brother, who died in infancy

As part of his monk training, Kurio became proficient in painting, dancing, singing, music (he plays piano), and a martial art: Capoeira

Kurio's legal name is Kurio Lacco. This makes him one of the few Sky kids out there to have a last name

And finally: Kurio's associated animal is a turtle! This is because he is very old, a bit wiser than most, and also because he carries around a shield

So why’s Gou a depressed ball of grief in the new au?

To put it shortly: his parents became absolutely terrified of having their second son as a professional racer due to Kenichi’s supposed “death” during a race (he got to become a racer without running away, yay!). His mom & especially Pops, forbidden Go from racing out of fear the same thing would happen to him, & started watching him like a hawk from now on to ensure he wasn’t sneaking out to race anywhere. With Go now dealing with the loss of his brother & his will to even be open about what he dreamed of doing ever since he was young, he was stuck in denial with everything. His mind kept rewinding back to the broadcast of the scene, & tried to dig into what really caused his brother to go missing in a crash almost halfway through the race. Something felt off.

Then he noticed a few things within the reports & footage, had a talk with sabu, decided to sneak out during night since it wasn’t the only time his parents weren’t watching him, & now he’s entered the street racing scene to investigate who caused the incident & why.

Did you know that Rebecca Sugar referenced the yo-yo act from Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios for Smoky Quartz’s in Steven Universe?

This is such a niche fun fact that caters to two of my special interests so I was inspired to draw Smoky with The Master of Time from Kurios (alt under cut)
