Kiss Me Forever; Chapter 10

Prompt: "heated kisses with gasps in between, hands tugging at clothes and exploring skin, bodies pressed close. giving in" Pairing: Carlos/Kuramochi

I should have seen this coming, Kuramochi thought when he was pressed into the wall. The doorknob dug slightly into his ribs, but he didn’t really care at the moment when lips were pressed against his own. Yes, he should have known this was inevitable, but he was surprisingly dense – or maybe it had just been denial.

It had been strictly coincidence that he and one Kamiya Carlos Toshiki ended up at the same university, but it was fate that had turned them into rivals. The two speedsters had competed goodnaturedly in just about everything; running, fielding, hitting. Both were too competitive for their own good to just leave each other alone.

At first, Kuramochi had been genuinely pissed by the losses and taunting from Carlos with high school still fresh in his mind, but something had changed along the way. Their banter had turned into teasing the more they got to know each other and flirting from Carlos’s side. The tension between them had just continued to build until…

Lips latched onto his neck. Groaning, Kuramochi fumbled with Carlos’s shirt. A part of him was actually surprised the outfielder still had it on. How many times had Kuramochi walked in on the other lounging on his bed sans clothing and felt utterly embarrassed, yet now he was frustrated by the barriers.

Managing to rid him of the shirt, Kuramochi tossed it to the floor. His hands wandered up Carlos’s toned body, smirking at the way the muscles contracted beneath his cold fingers. Though he’d never admit it, a part of him was annoyed by how different in size they were. Hearing Carlos hum at the touch, Kuramochi smirked. His hands traveled upward until they tangled in Carlos’s hair and pulled him down into another kiss.

Yes, this had definitely been in the making since they first saw each other on the field. Kuramochi was sure of it with the way they seemed to compete even now, though he knew Carlos would always have the upper hand. As if the outfielder had to prove it, his hands gripped the back of Kuramochi’s legs and easily lifted him without missing a beat.

Kuramochi wrapped his legs around Carlos’s waist, steadying himself when he felt the wall press a little harder into his back. Frustrated that he’d lost the battle, Kuramochi nipped at Carlos’s lip, even though the outfielder had no idea there was a war to be fought between them. From the sound Carlos made, Kuramochi knew he didn’t care.

“Bed,” Kuramochi moaned as Carlos kissed down his neck. His his back arched when Carlos found a particularly sensitive patch of skin. “Fuck. Bed, now,” he ordered, his fingers digging into Carlos’s shoulders.

Humming, Carlos gripped Kuramochi’s hips tightly as he walked backwards. He legs bumped against the mattress and he allowed himself to fall onto it. Kuramochi braced himself against the other’s chest, and Carlos smirked up at him. “I had a feeling you’d look better from this angle.”

“Shut up,” Kuramochi breathed with a roll of the eyes, leaning down to continue where they’d stopped.

The last of volume 71′s three pieces of Monet fanart, the most we’ve seen in one volume thus far

Another really good Monet with a more dynamic pose than a lot of the others that just have her perched

The very heavy shading makes this one a little harder on the eyes than some of the others, but that’s likely more the fault of the printing process used specifically for the collected volume

Also, the art style itself easily helps me look past it, it’s just so pretty

Edit: I didn’t know the title when I first posted this, so ignore all of my comments that assumed this was a drawing; THIS IS A PAPER CUTOUT! The heavy shading? That’s the PAPER! No wonder the shading overlaps itself so much, it all needs to stay one solid piece with the negative space cut out to form Monet herself

This is the fourth paper cutout piece that’s been featured, and much like the others, the level of detail here is so much more impressive when you realize that it was all done by carefully and strategically removing scraps of paper in such a way that it’s still all one sheet of paper

This really shows the love and dedication of the artist, and how far people are willing to go for Monet

Of the four, this is easily my favorite; the cuts are so much finer and really used to full effect. In the others, I mistook the remaining paper for particular thick ink lines, but in this one it all just looks like shading, which is what it’s meant to look like

As some of you may be aware, BTS release their new album on November 20th, BE - And one of three concepts is their own curated room. RM has a natural themed room with his own bonsai on display, J-Hope has sneakers in a row behind him with a Rothko vibe room and Jimin has beautiful flora and fauna surrounding the sofa Jimin sits on - each one has its own inspiration, its own curator and they make for interesting insights into each member. Here’s some recommendations based on each of their rooms. 

V - Taehyung’s room is very classical, bohemian and has violins hanging on the wall - an instrument he is a beginner in playing, I believe. This room has this slight Parisian edge that suits Tae so well in my opinion. Books I’d recommend for such a room are books such as: 

Cheri - Collette. 

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. 

(And if classics scare you, Anna And The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins).  

Jimin - Jimin’s room is packed with flowers, filled to the edge with floral displays and Jimin centre to the room in plain clothing as the focal point of the picture. Jimin himself is a perfect example of natural beauty - I mean just look at him. For me this is a room that strikes a balance but also says alot without even saying anything at all. I’d recommend: 

The Complete Language Of Flowers by Estee Shoesmith. 

Things That Grow by Meredith Goldstein (March 2021, but suits perfectly).

When The Moon Was Ours by Anne Marie McLemore. 

RM - RM is a nature lover. Known for his hikes around his homeland, ‘Namjooning’ and loving things that are earthy, this room captures him perfectly I feel, with his Kaws statues and Bonsai tree tucked in the corner. The inclusion of art in the pictures makes sense as RM has a huge love of art and is known to draw people to an exhibit just by being seen there. I’d recommend:

Sky, Wind And Stars by Yun Dong-Ju

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

Jungkook - Jungkook is pictured in a dark room, behind him piles of speakers, speaking to his passion of music. Jungkook wears a grey shirt set on a brown sofa with walls covered in chalk art that wouldn’t surprise me if were done by himself, as Jungkook is also an incredible artist, one of his many talents. Books I’d recommend for Jungkook I think would include:

This Song Will Save Your Life by Laila Sales

Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro. 

Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel. 

Jin - Jin is a precious jewel and in his concept pictures he reminds us so are we, and I love this man for it. Jin’s room isn’t balanced like other rooms but much like the words of ‘Epiphany’ ‘not perfect but still beautiful’. Jin’s room is a luxurious white and pink and Jin is the pearl on a pink clam-shell sofa which is just what he deserves. Books that I would recommend for Jin include:

The Keeper Of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan 

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. 

Suga - Suga’s room is blue, blue everywhere. Blue is an important colour to Suga as he says in the concept recordings, his favourite and the room reflects this. With a light that feels inspired by the Mobius Strip and a mirror laying on the floor that tells him this is who he is in the here and now, Suga’s room is one of reflecting in and out. Here are a few books:

Words In Deep Blue by Cath Crowley. 

A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos. 

Leaves Of Grass by Walt Whitman. 

J-Hope - What I appreciate about J-Hope’s room is that though full of colour, it has also a ‘blue side’ - the bottom half of the room being blue and the top being packed with reds and oranges, and the sides packed with prints. Hobi is exuberant but thoughtful, joyous but philosophical, and his lyricism displays that particularly on Hope World, his debut solo. Books that make me think of this room are:

Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. 

Dress Codes In Small Towns by Courtney Stephens. 

I’ll Fly Away by Rudy Francisco (out this month, but I’m reading it!).

     I znów chlapa na dworze, a przez te wietrzyska poniosło mi trochę dachu, więc sytuacja dość niemiła, ale i tak gorąco Was dziś witam :). W takich sytuacjach dobrze jest czymś się zająć, a że dachu nie zrobię sama, no więc zajmuje się pisaniem. Sami wiecie, że mało jemy kaczek i gęsi… gdzieś tam na świecie zajadają się naszymi kurakami, a my jakoś tak nie bardzo. No więc dziś posłuchajcie…

📖Hanalei Bay

Probably one of my best favourite tales so far ❤️, Hanalei Bay is the story of a mother who comes back to the place where her son died while traveling abroad.

It's not just a tale about the love humans have for each other - for throughout the story we often increase our hope in Humanity given the existence of kindness in people - but more than anything else, it's a tale about death and grief, and about how people deal with them, as well as how one can learn how to so in an emotionally sustainable way.

This tale is part of the brilliant book "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman" by Haruki Kurakami and I'm very grateful for having read it! 💞

Japanese climber Keita Kurakami has made a rope-solo ascent of Mare, an 8c+ sport climb at Mt. Futago in Japan. This is likely to be the most difficult rope-solo ever of a single pitch sports climb.
