I was late for a class and was waiting for it to end when I stumbled across this gem in the”Kulliyat-e-Iqbal”by Allama Iqbal(May Allah have mercy on him) in my library.
It’s titled”Falsafa-e-gham” and it’s an exposition on grief and it beautifully explains the caveats of sorrow.
It presents a unique and holistic view of sadness/pain i.e it gives you a fresh new perspective on loss.
I”ll upload the text version soon,Inshallah.

Kulliyat e Iqbal

There are two types of morning
This poem is of Zarb e Kaleem in Kulliyat e Iqbal. Its interpretation is as follows!
It is not known where this morning which arises from the rising of the sun every day and from which today's morning becomes tomorrow's morning. I mean, I don't need to investigate that kind of geography.
But the morning that creates tremors inside the dark cell of the human body and awakens the whole universe is born in the morning by the call of the believer.
What is meant is that when the man of God, who is full of love, raises the voice of truth, then the whole universe trembles at the ignorance that enchants after darkness with his passionate voice.
