being born as a girl zoldyck is not a fancy fairytale story or rainbows and unicorns. it is a hundred times more darker and gruesome if you ask y/n. in her younger years, whenever she was tasked to do things outside the kukuroo mountain, she would finished her tasked first and foremost then wander into places in her spare time.

specifically, in yorknew city since most of her jobs are around these parts. that is where she met him. chrollo lucilfer, her boyfriend, and the phantom troupe's leader.

she about not older than 9 years old, when she happen to wander around the city after finishing her job and chrollo who was 11 years old at that time, who happens to be doing the same, spying and observing people around. his attention was caught by her straight-long silver colored hair that complemented her body and pale skin, making him thought she was interesting and decided to follow her discreetly or so he thought.

y/n felt a pair of eyes trying to burn in the back of her head, sensing a great amount of nen she swiftly tried to get away without him suspecting. but before she could turn to the other corner of the alley he jumped in front of her. confused how he managed to caught up with her speed and from a crowded place.

"you're not gonna kill me are you?"

"not, if you're going to tell me why'd you try running away from me?"

"you have a strong nen in you, i assumed you were targeting me that's why."

"ohh! so you know about nen! i just learned them recently."

a day just before y/n turns 16, she's currently still in york new city, who had just finished her job. she is on her way to the airport going back home and unexpectedly received another call.

"happy birthday." greeted by a gentle voice on the other side of the phone.

"i dunno if you forgot that tomorrow is my birthday or you're just teasing." her lips slowly forming a smile.

his audible laugh can be heard from the other side, "the latter... why don't you turn around so you can have your early present."

as soon as she shifted her gaze, there, she saw chrollo approaching her way who has his right hand in his ear holding the phone and his left hiding in the back.

he stopped in front of her and handed her a small bag. she opened it without hesitation and sees a gold necklace with a small open heart and a cross similar to his tattoo hanging, that have every bit of diamonds embedded into it.

"you didn't steal this right?" she joked causing them to both laughed.

"absolutely not. i had them customized for you."

his statement made her heart weak and hugged him as if the world depends on it. he was taken back a bit and hugged her back.

"happy birthday, angel. wish i could celebrate it with you tomorrow but oh well maybe next time." his voice was ever gentle holding her body close to his.

"you know my family, they say it's important to be together in this special occasion ." she replied that made her cringe.

"though i hoped you didn't threaten the jeweller to make these." he laughed again and shook his head saying a no.

"thank you, i love it."

y/n now age of 24. she managed to hide his relationship with chrollo all throughout these years from his family, and from her father especially. though she did thought that illumi who was close to her may have a hint about this relationship but not that she minded. years and years of training, she became much stronger of her abilities. if grandpa zeno were to ask, he'd definitely say that y/n could be on par or much much more skillful than illumi if she wishes to be.

i mean she is trained by the most infamous family of assassins and together with that she was also trained by the leader of the phantom troupe, a world-famous gang of thieves and a criminal organization, though she would sulk from time to time since chrollo would not give her a special treatment just because they are lovers.

she was taking a break in her training outside at the back of their manor when a butler came and brought news that killua had already come home to god knows where he had been. she and killua have a very close relationship together with her younger siblings, and she doesn't deny that she each love all of them differently and yes that includes milluki.

a few days later, she came home late because apparently she was too busy strolling around their hometown, she then heard from her mother's call that killua's friends came to get him out of this hellhole of a place. well, if she were in killua's place, she would've gone with them. she tried to run away for years, but she keeps coming back because her poor younger siblings would face the wrath of illumi and their father would constantly gaslight her into punishing them badly if she were to run away for good. she know how her old man works his way through them and how everyone in the household is manipulated by him and of course illumi learned how to effectively use it on them too.

she loves her family, she treasures them but she hates how they are being treated like toys and disposable objects if you were to fail them. but for the sake of everyone's peaceful life especially her younger siblings. y/n made the sacrifice to not leave kukuroo mountain and made a deal with his father to leave her siblings alone and she'll be working in the family business and after she finishes her work they'd let her be outside their home because they know eventually she'll just come back.

if she was born a male, her father would've made her the successor of the family considering she inherited the zoldyck genes and power but alas killua was born, a more suited heir and a prodigy. she was the first prodigy before killua, and if her wishes were to be granted, she is willing to follow whatever her father's wishes to if it means protecting the younger ones who wants a normal life. but they all know that their life wouldn't be normal because of their family's reputation and history.

she went straight into the butler's quarters knowing killua's friends were waiting for him. she then saw a few butlers waiting outside. as soon as they saw the lady, panic in their eyes risen and tried to convince the lady to wait for killua.

"what's the big deal, i just wanna meet his friends."

"well... uhmm but the lady would be furious if we were to–"

"i don't care what she says, i'm harmless see? now lemme through or my hands are gonna go through your head." that made every last one of them gulped into fear.

"nee-chan no need to be so violent, let's go meet them together." killua's voice was heard from the door thinking killua may have gotten here first, that made her stop approaching the butlers.

"hmp they wouldn't let me through, m'not gonna eat your friends you know." killua giggled her sister's childish remarks and held her hand to his.

"teehee i know, now let's go meet them." snickering while his cat face evidently showing.

y/n having a strong sense of hearing can hear the clanking of metals and eventually stopped, she looked at his brother to see if he also heard it.

"you think they're tryna kill your friends?" she joked.

"nahhh they wouldn't dare." true since he was already free to go with them according to their father.

"well im glad that he let's you do that. i hope you enjoy every bit of time with your friends." she smiled ever so sweetly.

killua looked at her again, "what about you neechan? aren't you gonna leave here? you don't wanna stay in this place."

"no, neechan has to do a lot of things back here. but you'll definitely see me around if i do work outside, if your'e lucky." she winked at him.

as killua opened the door he dashed near his friend near his age, he calls him gon, and the blond male named kurapika and a bit older teen with glasses named leorio. she quietly the entered and the others sensed another presence behind the door.

gotoh was the first one to greet, seeing their lady unexpectedly showing to the guests, "m'lady, you have arrived. this is killua-sama's friends. they came to get him" explaining as he bowed.

"yes, i've heard." roaming her eyes into each of them. studying their appearances and this one particular glasses man was staring at her intently making her eyebrows raised.

"well it seems you have good friends, don't you kill?" killua nodded and grabbed gon's hand pulling him in front of the woman.

"this is gon, he's my best friend. he's my age too, neechan! and that blonde is kurapika and the old guy is leorio."

"i'm not old! i'm only nineteen!" leorio butted in.

"maybe it's the suit and glasses that's making you look old." y/n slightly smirked looking at him that made the guy a blushing madly.

"but don't worry, everybody has their own style. don't they?" she asked him and leorio nodded aggressively.

"this is my sister, y/n. and will you quit simping for him old man? she may not look like it but you're way too young for her and she's good at seducing people so don't let her fool you." killua said with a bit of teasing her sister making y/n laugh.

she then thought of an idea that made her smirk, "alright, that's enough. i don't want you revealing my secrets to your friends or that wouldn't be too good for you, would it?"

killua sweated making him regret what he just said, "aheheh gomen. that wasn't really my intention, neechan."

"i can see you enjoy their company kill, i'll take my leave first, i wouldn't wanna be on your way much longer. i'm pretty sure you all have come a long way." while taking a last look at his companions.

she grabbed his hand and hugged him ever so tight that made his friends surprised, the butler's however did not react a bit, for they have known that the zoldyck's daughter is more transparent to her feelings especially when it comes to her siblings.

"m'gonna miss you again kill. be safe alright, and no more trouble, okay?— don't worry, neechan will be there when you need her. i'm always close by." with that she left as soon as he kissed his forehead.

truly her sentence was a bit odd for killua's friends but killua understood what she said since she was always traveling a lot and not actually staying home all the time.

5 months have passed and y/n and killua are in contact with each other of his whereabouts. she had heard that they were in heavens arena in the past few months and unsurprisingly a specific clown was also back there and then the remaining months he went to whale island with his friend gon.

she is, as usual traveling again and is currently in zaban city. her phone beeped signaling an email, fished her phone out and stared and the text indicated.

"meet me at *location*."

eager to see her lover again, she dashed her way to his whereabouts. as soon as she got there, there he was standing and waiting and once again with a gift in the table that she assumes is theirs and this time a bouquet of white cleome hassleriana with a few of rose lillies, and forget-me nots in them.

"i missed you."

"missed you too, lover."

he went to get her seat and settled her, y/n thanking him and she was already opening the gift bag that says dior and chanel.

"i thought that this day should be special so i went all out and got these for you."

seeing inside the bags that he bought contained some make up products, perfumes, and a few clothing and made her so excited like a child. he handed the bouquet that is already making her eyes almost tear up.

"aww you're making me cry, you're so sweet. i love thesee! thank youuu."

she went and dipped her head as she kissed him softly while also getting the bouquet in his hands.

"i really like these flowers and you got my favorite too! you're really in love with me aren't you?" she teased still admiring the flowers.

"of course, all the best ones for you, my dear." he smiled so softly as if he was not the most wanted criminal around the world.

"thank you, really. i love you 'rollo"

"i love you too." as soon as he finished his sentence their food came in and the cake's candle was already lit ready for her to blow off.

"ohh and cake?? you're too much" she giggled that made him smile even more.

"the troupe would be excited to see you."

yorknew city, a place that holds various annual auctions from september 1st to 10th, including the world's largest auction, the southernpiece auction, in which the world's rarest and most valuable items are sold.

by the gordeau dessert, some troupe are on their way to meet their boss in the said hide out. machi, nobunaga, feitan, and franklin. and the other spiders came from the other side are also on their way to yorknew city.

on the other side of the continent of republic of padokea, y/n still haven't woken up from her slumber and was already late for her daily routine. her mother, kikyo worries for her daughter all the time, and with that he ordered gotoh to check up on her on the other wing of the mansion.

as soon as gotoh managed to wake her up, she was already in panic saying that she was already late for her schedule to meet with the troupe which was supposed to be around 7 in the evening, exhausted from her training last night she haven't heard the alarm go off this morning and slept until afternoon came, which was very irresponsible as what her mother used to say. she was able to get ready in less than an hour and went to the airport for her flight and now she just gotta wait for the aircraft to land in the united states of saherta and meet with the spiders.

it was already past 12 in the night when she managed to get to the exact location, the boss was about to converse with the others when he felt another presence just came in and the spiders were a little too occupied to notice.

"gomen minna. i was supposed to come by earlier but i lost track of time." a gentle voice was heard and everyone whipped their head at the back.

"y/n!"

"y/n??"

"ohhh omoshiroi! y/n! long time no see!"

many reactions came from the spiders and the founding members huddled near y/n and she just laughed while holding the back of her head embarrassed for the attention given to her. she missed them so much. she found friends within them all throughout the years, her family.

"danchou, you never mentioned y/n was coming here! is she doing missions with us too?" asked uvo to which chrollo only responded with a slight nod.

"okay, boss everyone's here!" shalnark announced.

"well, boss? what are we stealing this time?"

"we will take the treasures of the underground auction."

"which treasures do you want?"

"ancient text, maybe? the boss does like books." machi suggested.

"no. maybe games, there will be many copies of most expensive games ever." feitan said in his broken japanese.

"wouldn't it be more logical to take precious metals and gemstone?" nobunaga butted in.

"all of it." chrollo finished and stepped in to the light so his face was seen by them and it made y/n smile.

"we'll be taking everything that's up for the auction."

"hold on, boss. are you sure? the underground auction is operated by gang from all over the world. just think about it!" excitement can be heard from uvo.

"if we do that, we're gonna make enemies out of every last one of 'em." he continued.

"are you scared, uvogin?" the boss questioned.

"no way! i'm ecstatic! i can't stop shaking! come on! give us the order boss!" uvo's voice is now getting louder at this point that made everyone smirk in excitement.

"i give you permission to kill them all. anyone who dares to get in our way." and with that uvo roared so loud that his voice reach outside of the building.

it's been a few hours after everyone had arrived and y/n and the founding members gathered close to each other and talk to catch up. they asked each other on their whereabouts for the past few years, some of them met each other by accident in some places and some met others because it was planned just like y/n and the girls would meet up from time to time whenever they have their free time. usually it's just near heavens arena because machi usually goes there for whatever reason, y/n didn't really asked. while talking to each other, y/n failing to notice a certain neon pink-haired eyeing their direction. he had seen y/n a few times more than one because of her brother and to think she was connected to the spiders made him excited. chrollo sensing hisoka's bloodlust from afar he decided to get down from his place and went near the spiders that's close to y/n.

"danchou, is there anything you need?" pakunoda asked and everyone stopped their conversation and faced him.

flashing a hint of smile on his lips, "why dont you ladies have your breakfast outside? it's already dawn, i heard there's this café i think you all would like."

y/n's eyebrows raised as she knows chrollo would usually offer it but this time he made it sound like he was sending them out of the hide out.

"oh yes, i've researced that there are many sweets to choose from. y/n, we should try it before we go off on our mission tonight." shizuku suggested that made the woman nod at her.

"should we get something for you boys?" the silver-haired asked.

chrollo flashing her a smile and said,"anything's fine," that made y/n nod her head again.

night time came and whoever was tasked to go outside for the evening are already in motion. y/n to her dismay stayed behind making her pout. currently sitting beside her lover making complaints.

"oh come on, why can't i got with them? it'd be faster with me helping ya'know?" she quietly whispers to which chrollo ignores her and continues to read his book.

not a moment later, his phone ringed. fishing it out and uvo's name on the screen. his muffled voice can be heard beside y/n saying that there was no sign of the items at the auction and the others concluded that the mafia might have hinted them that some bandits will try to steal or someone about being a traitor among the spiders, making chrollo decide to get the attention of the mafia and let the shadow beast follow them to locate the items.

hisoka, to his delight is thinking to himself on how the woman is a bit too close with the boss and it seems to tolerate her actions toward him. being to close with him, touching him here and their, talking to him nonstop and even lying her head on his lap, surely he thinks they're not just friends that's for sure.

an hour or so another call came in from machi, saying that uvo has been captured by a different individual and everyone decided to come back to the hide out. they then decided to track uvo and able to locate him captured by the nostrade family.

dawn had already came and still no sign of uvo, the boss decided to change their plans and is now currently on the hunt for the one's who kidnapped him and possibly who killed him.

y/n went off to search for her own clues and separated with the others in the meantime, afternoon then has set and she went to a house that shalnark managed to rob with chrollo. she sees chrollo already on his white buttoned-shirt and black pants.

he's so fine, she thought that made chrollo chuckle at his lover's stare.

she cleared her throat and told him the news. "my father and grandpa were hired at the auction to stop the troupe from interfering, they heard i was here and decided to call me in. sooo i guess, that's me against u huh?" she laughed.

"i'll just have to make sure your brother finishes his job before your family finishes me." he smiled softly as if he wasn't even planning a murder.

"no fun, but hey, if you manage to impress my father or grandfather, who knows maybe he might let you be with me. if he already knows about us i mean."

wearing her white silk above the ankle dress that matches her hair color and a silver heels, she was already sprinting towards where the meeting was supposed to hold with other assassins. nobody knows of an additional person in the job, only the two men inside that had just got in too.

knocking the big doors, everyone stopped talking and eyes went to the door. silva seeing his daughter already here, he then explained their own plan.

"she will be with us, you don't need to pay her, she'll be our responsibility."

while some assassins are amazed by a figure that just got inside, some were already complaining.

"a girl in an assassination mission? is she even capable of defeating a troupe member?" some smirked and snickered by his sentence, y/n trying her hardest not to get provoke.

kurapika eyed her for a second while y/n failed to notice his brother's friend due to her closed eyes stopping herself killing the others in the room.

after the meeting and everyone seems to be intimidated by the zoldyck family, truly living up to their name and fame as to what others had thought, they let the family be. the zoldyck's exchanged a few words and went to there separate ways to inspect the whole building.

"nevermind them, you yourself know better than those punks." his grandfather whispered before walking his way. y/n thinks that his grandfather may have thought she was offended by what they said, well honestly, she wasn't, she was more of pissed because she knows she's far more skillful than those amateurs and she was trying her best to stop herself from killing them there.

chrollo now was inside the building and at the topmost floor. an assassin seems to have followed him and y/n happens to spot him and decided to just tail him as well. and to her delight, she finally found where chrollo was.

"why am i alive? what's happening?" said the assassin on the side.

"this is an indoor fish. you can't die unless the nen fish disappears."

the assassin spotted y/n walking her way to the leader, while y/n's eyes glued to the assassin.

"kill him!" the assassin shouted at y/n making her smirk.

"why would i?" she smirked as chrollo had already sensed her presence, making him turned around and walked towards her.

y/n stretched both her hands out reaching for chrollo's shoulder blades, inching her upper body close, hands dangling to his side and leaned in for a kiss which chrollo returned.

"we wouldn't wanna get violent with each other, won't we, lover?" her sentence just made chrollo chuckle. y/n then stepped to the side as chrollo began his requiem for uvo.

on the other side of the building, the elder zoldyck's are still roaming around trying to locate the phantom's boss without knowing he was already waiting in a specific room. y/n being sneaky as she is decided to play out as if she doesn't know anything and went to his father's side helping them.

the two elders now standing in double doors sensing a great amount of nen inside waiting. the three of them went inside and there awaits chrollo standing firm.

"we meet again." he spoke.

"you remember me?" asked the father.

"how could i forget? you killed one of my comrades."

the two zoldyck's went forward and as chrollo went near them as well, y/n stayed in her position while watching the men closely. the battle soon began and the zoldyck's wasted no time trying to get to the boss. a little moment after, a burst of aura coming out of the three, using each of their special abilities and with that a blinding light has struck their eyes and heavy shockwave was felt and soon after, the battle ended.

as soon as y/n recovered her eyesight, she instinctively went to the broken concretes and trying to look for her boyfriend while hearing the sounds of a phone call in the background, hearing her father talk to illumi.

"you okay?" she walked passed the crumbled concretes on her way and knelt in front of him holding his shoulder. chrollo nodded and put his hand on top her hand reassuring he was fine, that did not go unnoticed to both the zoldyck men.

after a very intense conversation, the zoldyck's were now finished and trying to walk out of the room. while her grandpa zeno did not react to whatever they saw a few moments ago and walked out smoothly, her father silva, was raging with anger and was giving chrollo his death glare, to which the latter was doing the same. for silva to see his daughter seem to be close with the thief's boss is atrocious, she is in a family of assassins who's name was built out of respect and with dignity and to think she was fooling around with his enemy made him mad, or maybe he just couldn't accept the fact that the only girl in the family was comfortable with another man other than the members of his family. he will talk to her once she gets back on the mountains and give her a good word but for now he will let her off the hook in the meantime.

a few minutes later, the troupe was now walking inside the room that chrollo fought with the zoldyck's and they all proceeded to the auction room.

"he's lying chrollo." the silver-haired woman exclaimed as she was glaring in hisoka's direction.

"he wants to keep all of us here, that's why."

"but according to his fortune, he seems to be telling the truth." shizuku explained while peeking at the paper.

"he could've put his nen to it and changed it."

fei snatched the paper and examined it,"don't see nen here."

what? i know i did, it was only for a moment but i did! she thought, and having heightened senses she saw a glimpse of his nen transferred to the paper.

"i know what i saw." she turned to chrollo and begged for him. "please we have to get out of here, or else there will be more trouble."

he looked at her and said,"let me see your paper. "

he read the first few lines and it was the same with the others mourning for uvo. but what caught his eyes were in the next poems.

seeing the truth was burden, you wished to have known better, as you saw a shadow of your own character.

a challenge between blood and water will clash, a spider so dear, if not careful shall pass.

as you mourn for the passed moons, you shall not overcome, losing your light to the darkness you will be succumb.

and true to her words, she seems to be telling the truth, but chrollo could not risk any more of the spiders to get killed. his family. not again. he had no choice but to keep them here. hisoka might endanger them all, including her. it's best to keep them where he can keep an eye of his family.

"so what's it gonna be, danchou?" shalnark broke the silence.

and another muted moment before he finally had decided. "we're staying." as soon as he declared to stay, hisoka's lust almost exposed and he will be a goner if he weren't too careful. y/n never believing what she just heard, turned her back as she walked to the door.

"i said we are staying y/n."

"and i'm not. i can't stand someone in the same room as that stupid clown. since you like to believe him anyway i might as well just leave on my own." she was being petty, she admits that. but something just tells her she shouldn't stay in there any longer, she knew what she saw and she'll have to get to the chain user first before any of the spiders do and finish him off once and for all.

paku walking to the same direction where y/n was a few seconds ago, when chrollo stopped her.

"she's going out to cool off. she'll be back."

and she did, she found herself inside a café and ordered herself a hot choco to cool herself off. sitting in the window side, she can see traffic, traffic and traffic on the streets and rain pouring outside. a beep then from the phone was heard and saw chrollo was trying reach out to her which she ignored.

a little while after commotion from the people walking beside the streets were whispering something was running on the building itself. she saw a fading figure of feitan and grew curious.

the spiders now standing by at the hotels lounge while they wait for the others, chrollo currently still trying to reach her. but little did he knew she decided to follow them a little while after. she read his messages briefly and went to the exact location.

barely wet from the pouring rain outside, y/n paved her way in the hotel and sees a very very familiar colored hair, the two boys are being held by machi with her nen and the others are by the other side.

her eyes open wide as chrollo approached her carefully all while her eyes meeting another pair of cerulean blue ones.

"why are these kids here?"

"they want to catch a spider they said, for the bounty."

“you have to let them go. we can’t risk anymore trouble if we are to take them.”

not hearing any replies from their leader, y/n then looked back at the two boys who’s also looking at her nervously.

she imaginatively palmed her face as she is thinking of what are her plans next now that his own brother just got himself in trouble with the troupe.

she can’t tell him about it all just yet. she groaned to herself knowing she might have made a mistake of not telling his nosy of a brother sooner than ever. and that is not to get in contact with them.

“don’t think about it too much, we’ll get uvo soon, y/n” nobunaga talked at the back when he heard her murmuring stuff that caught his attention thinking that she might be just worried of their friend.

y/n knows his brother too well like the back of her hand, she knows the two of them really wanted just the bounty but it’s way too stupid for them to go after the troupe all by themselves.

what was he thinking? she thought all while glaring at a scared killua, that made chrollo curious.

“something wrong?”

and just when she was about to answer him, the lights went off.

she heard a few shuffling in front of her that’s when she knew killua made his move in which she immediately grab his clothes and not let him get away.

by the time the lights are back, they are all still in one piece. well, except that their leader is already missing and there’s a letter attached to an arrow planted in the walls.

killua still could not read everything thoroughly of what is exactly happening and why his sister is with the troupe, he has no idea and is afloat as of that moment.

y/n immediately looked at the children blaming them for their sneaky little stunt they pulled in front of her.

she then thought, if they wanted the bounty for them to have money for their useless gaming consoles then they should’ve just brought every one of them, but why just their leader? is chrollo alone already enough to buy such treasure? or was there more to it that just the bounty?

all the questions came running through y/n’s head but unfortunately, her questions were all answered when a ringing sound the building signaling a call.

y/n somehow already figured the whole plot of why killua and gon had been chasing the troupe. apparently it wasn’t just for the money but they know who the chain user all along and is after a troupe member or well specifically, the chain user is after their leader. so they captured uvo to get the leader moving and make himself appear in front of him or her, y/n has no clue how to identify him because honestly she has not seen this chain user they speak of.

and this made her even more frustrated. she doesn’t mind if one of the troupe is in danger, they can get out of trouble all by themselves or with the help of others. what’s bothering her is the safety of the two children, who probably never had a moment to think all this thing through. putting themselves in danger by facing a thief organization all by themselves is insane. adding the fact that his boyfriend is now captured by the chain user who plans to kill him if they are not to hand over the kids over by midnight. certainly this was way harder than the tortures she endured from her father, she’d rather have those.

after a few arguments along the way from the call and back to the hideout, everyone had already agreed they would trust pakunoda to ensure the safety of their danchou by letting her hand over the kids alone in a specific place. as much as half of the troupe would disagree to save the danchou all by themselves, the other half wanted to agree with the chain user’s deal. they wanted to play this safe. they still want him back. they still need their leader with them. and that is what paku thinks as well.

before she left the hideout, she had to look intently at y/n to which she understood what she was already doing for. whatever the result may be, she is doing all these for them, for her leader, for her family.

y/n not able to contain herself as she was already overwhelmed by the turn of events, she instantly grabbed killua’s hands and met him in the eye.

“whatever this is, you take him back to us.— please, bring him back to us. to me.” holding the silver-haired boy as she whispered the last words ever so lightly so that they wouldn’t hear her.

y/n could not puzzle what pakunoda said after that, she just felt her shoulders were pushed to the side and seeing pakunoda with the boys walking away while nobunaga had run to catch her falling body. one last thing she knew was reaching out to her little brother, her head feeling a little too light and went black out.

just as pakunoda and the kids finally arrived at their destination, she was instructed to switch both killua and gon with their leader at the same time. with a condition that chrollo, could never make contact with the spiders again nor even talk to them or else he would die due to a nen that was connected to his heart connected to the chain user’s ability, if broken he dies immediately. pakunoda thought that if the clown was here with them, he probably wanted to battle the leader, but no luck to him since chrollo can’t fulfill his wishes because he cannot use his nen.

the switch of hostages already made and the aircrafts are now high up in the air, pakunoda deeply burdened of what should she do best for the troupe and for the leader. looking below, she can see that indeed the clown’s intention was to get to the leader to face him alone. and with the last glimpse of the scene, staring blankly, she could only wish she knew what to do by then the time when she comes back to their hideout.

a frustrated hisoka was all chrollo got to deal with when he explained his circumstances. after the clown left, he could only think of one solution and that is to head where he was supposed to, to take out what’s in his heart, to take out that nen stuck to him. as he was in deep thought, a sudden image came into view. his love. his most important treasure of all.

what would she think. he thought.

would she wait for him until the time comes that they can finally reunite together?

would she try to find a way for them to meet whatever it takes?

would she just leave the relationship and the troupe instead of looking for him?

words and words came through chrollo’s head, their relationship was more concerning since they had a fight not just long ago and they have not talked about it yet.

he may not look like it, but y/n can testify how his lover takes good care of their relationship. how he takes care of her. how he takes care of his family in his own ways.

it was indeed the most impossible thing that has ever happened between them yet, but one thing chrollo is sure of. he plans of going to the east to dissolve the nen in him. he will come back to them, he will come back for his family, he will come home to her.

The Zoldyck's Omega- (yandere!Zoldyck Family x Omega!Reader)

There was an unusual tension in the air surrounding Kukuroo mountain, a static that seemed to bleed into the air and soak the very soil. Though the inhabitants of the mountain were almost always quiet in their day to day life, a low growl could be heard in the heart of the building within the mountain.

After some time with their dearest omega living within the mountain, the adult Zoldycks were well aware of the broody behavior omegas often exhibited after being in heat. However, this had gone on for well over two weeks. Brooding after a heat is common for an omega, though they usually do not stay broody for too long. The fact that this most recent brooding session had not ended after two weeks was an indication that the soft omega of the Zoldyck family was with pups.

As they often did whenever new behavior showed itself, the adult Zoldycks called upon their close ally and friend, Netero. He was an apex alpha and the grandfather of the soft omega the Zoldycks protected, so surely he would know how to proceed with a pregnant omega. When this brooding behavior first occurred, he had mentioned that pregnant omegas need a whelping den in order to calm themselves down, but he did not say much beyond that.

"It should be near enough to her usual nest that she will not have to go far from the comfort she knows, but far enough that she can settle properly without feeling compelled to move her nest."

"What would you recommend as a starter for her whelping den?"

"Somewhere similar to her nest; a smaller room with one entrance she can defend, low ceiling to give that cozy and protected feeling, no foreign scents she isn't familiar with, and plenty of overly soft nesting materials. Where omegas can nest with anything in particular that has a pleasant texture, a whelping den needs to have nesting items soft enough to not scratch or distress pups."

Zeno nodded, clearly rather interested in getting the whelping den set up as soon as possible in order to break the broody behavior you were stuck in. The apex alphas all wanted to ensure you were taken care of and kept safe, so your aggression towards them and aversion to any food given to you had been upsetting, to say the least. If giving you a whelping den would help you return to your more affectionate behavior, they would happily do so.

"So she will stop brooding once in a proper whelping den?"

"She should," Netero sighed, stroking his beard, "but when she does finally give birth to her pups, she will return to being hostile and broody until they are several weeks old, so she should be fed far more frequently and with greater amounts especially towards the end."

Silva was rather appreciative that they had the assistance of the elder apex alpha, unsure what they would have done without the guidance provided. As he was one of your mated alphas, he was compelled to want to comfort you, but your continued aggression towards him made that action impossible. Hopefully you would be able to settle properly within a whelping den and return to your adoring and sweet behavior.

Of course, there were still many other details that needed to be hashed out, such as figuring out what kind of help you would accept during the delivery process. There had to be doctors who were trained specifically to care for omegas, so there was still the matter of figuring out which one they should contact and if that doctor will be trustworthy enough. Omegas were rare, so finding a doctor that was trusted enough to work with omegas would certainly be a rather large task.

The decision was a difficult one, but one that needed to be made regardless.

"I will contact (y/n)'s doctor, Zeta. She is a nose blind beta that has treated several omegas before. Odds are, she has known more omegas than most will ever see in their life. This doctor has been providing medical care to (y/n) since she was no more than a whimpering pup. If anyone is to be trusted with a broody omega, it would be that woman."

"We will send for her immediately and ensure she is paid well."

"Oh, don't bother. She won't let you pay her anyway. She began as (y/n)'s nanny, an extra pair of hands to help rear an omega pup. (Y/n) was one of those omegas who had a clear rank the moment she was born. Some grow and become omegas, (y/n) began as an omega from infancy. As Doctor Zeta showed great skill in handling an adolecent (y/n), I decided to devote resources to ensure all education in medicine was covered. Since then, Doctor Zeta has treated omegas around the world. Even with all the fame, she will always come running if (y/n) needed her to."

Netero smiled as he recalled the nose blind beta, curious to know how the woman has been since he last saw her. She was as brilliant a doctor as she was a nanny, and he knew that she adored his dear omega grandchild as much as he did. Though Dr. Zeta would charge others for the treatment she provided to omegas, she refused to charge anything to treat or asses you.

Netero took out his phone, sending a message to the kind doctor and where he needed her to go in order to treat you. Once he finished that, he set to assisting the Zoldycks in finding a suitable place for a whelping den. There were three possible spots, leading the three locations to be adjusted and filled accordingly with soft items suitable for making a nest for pups. Once the locations were properly prepared, Netero had the doors to your room and nest opened in order to encourage you to seek out a proper place for a whelping den.

You emerged slowly from your nest, being extremely cautious as you sniffed and looked around. When you were satisfied that you were safe and there were no others present, you began your search by visiting each of the three prepared locations in turn and examining the potential bedding. It took five laps to the three spots before you settled on one, quickly scuttling into it and pulling in all of the bedding in reach.

As soon as the Zoldycks saw on the security cameras that you had chosen a whelping den, they ensured to have the bedding from the other two locations scented fully and placed outside of your chosen spot. They gave you your space as you sorted through what you wanted and what you didn't want in your nest. When you were finally settled, Silva was chosen as the one to approach and test your temper.

"(Y/n)," Silva called to you gently, trying to not come across as intimidating or angry, "can we talk?"

There was a moment of silence from the whelping den before you cautiously peaked out. The fact that you were not growling or swiping at him gave Silva the confidence to step closer, kneeling down to your level. You somewhat emerged from the den as he crouched, your (e/c) orbs watching his movements keenly.

Before he could question you as to your wellbeing, you fully emerged from the den, affectionately pressing your forehead to his chest. It was clear that the whelping den worked exactly as they had hoped, your broody behavior almost completely gone and your sweet behavior returning in full force. It was a relief to your mates that you no longer behaved in a hostile manner towards Silva, meaning you would likely behave similarly towards your other mates.

"Are you well, (Y/n)?"

"... Hungry..."

"Food will be brought soon."

You hummed and continued to rest your cheek on his chest, relaxing into the side of your alpha. He allowed and encouraged your cuddly behavior, holding you close and listening to you hum happily. It was unexpected for you to be with pups, but they had figured it was an eventuality and couldn't be more pleased.

Omg this is a really good concept. I'll see what I can do lol, hope you enjoy! HCs take place before the HxH storyline begins, so Killua's still home, and Alluka's locked up. Since it took me a while, and this requests kinda fits for it, I chose to also add smaller sections Silva, Kikyo and Zeno to the mix! But I'll go with the siblings first.

📍Illumi📍

Of all your siblings, Illumi's the only one you have any memory of, even though they're faint and blurry, you remember his almond-shaped eyes, and his cheery yet monotone voice.

He was overwhelming to be around, not because he was annoying or anything, but because of his aura. He always wanted to keep an eye on you.

It wouldn't be rare for you to spot him looking at you from a distance, studying you and making sure you didn't get yourself into trouble, as you were much weaker than them, since you'd never been trained for their... odd assassination business.

Illumi didn't show much emotion at all, but he couldn't deny that he was incredibly relieved that you were home again, and he was even happier when you were unfazed upon learning that they did for a living. "Are you really not scared...? Despite growing up away from all of this? It must be your Zoldyck blood. I'm glad, this means we can all be happy."

The first few weeks around him were really weird, as whenever he had the time to talk to you, he'd always get such a fond expression on his face as he asked you questions of how your life had been up to that point. He wanted to learn everything.

You eventually came to find that endearing. He was a little weird, but genuinely seemed to care about you in his own way.

Even if you grew up away from the mountain, he's fully accepted you back as a member of the family, and he shows that by bringing you souvenirs from his missions, just like he does with everyone else.

🎮Milluki🎮

Milluki initially did not care about meeting you. What's that about a long lost sibling? Certainly not something he'd waste his time on.

He doesn't understand what all the fuss is about, it's not like you're super strong or anything, you're basically just a regular human compared to them, and you're taking away even the last smidge of attention reserved to him!

Milluki was born a couple years after you, so likewise, you have no idea who he is or what he enjoys. You just know that he seems to really dislike you and generally keep to himself, locked in his room.

Since you had a normal life, you're aware that such a behavior isn't healthy, but his refusal to build any kind of connection with you makes getting through to him really difficult.

That is until he finally decides to show up for a dinner with the rest of the family, looking slightly disheveled and wearing a Dragon Ball T-Shirt, which you easily recognize.

The moment you point it out, Milluki FINALLY speaks to you for the first time in weeks! "Y-yeah... it's an Android 18 shirt. Why? You... like anime or something?"

He's a little taken aback when you admit that yes, you do enjoy anime and the like. You can see him ease up a little, and dinner quickly transforms in him rambling to you about his favorites.

Nobody has the courage to stop him, and you keep actively listening, just glad you found a common interest with him. After that dinner, Milluki is much more open towards you. He hasn't fully accepted you, but considers you a pretty good company, at least you understand what he's talking about!

🪀Killua🪀

Out of everyone, Killua is the most curious about you. He didn't know he had a secret sibling, but that's such cool news!

Sure, you can't do all the tricks he can do, but the fact that you have a completely different view from the rest of the family is thrilling to him, which makes your lack of strength worth it.

Killua's excitement about your mere existence and the new atmosphere you brought to the manor is a little odd at first, but having normal interactions with someone is nice. He doesn't stalk you around, or act as if you didn't exist, he just hangs around you like a normal kid would.

You also earn extra points because your ability to go out of the manor whenever (albeit accompanied by a butler). Makes it so you can go to the store and get him his favorite snacks. You're the coolest for that.

You can tell that Killua is different from the others, he's actually interested in what's out there, away from the world of assassins. "Illumi always said making friends wasn't necessary... but you always seem happy talking about yours... so which is it? Do you think I could make friends? Even... if I'm supposed to be the heir?"

To you, it's quite obvious that Killua, being a pre-teen, is starting to wish for self-discovery, and despite having a feeling that most of his family doesn't want that for him, you can't help but encourage him to follow that wish.

You might be one of the reasons why he ran away later on, though he's kept it a secret, not wanting you to get in trouble just because you were supportive of him.

🧸Alluka🧸

You almost never met Alluka. The family wanted to keep her a secret from you. Understandably, they knew you'd probably disagree with them keeping a human being locked up like that.

One day however, while hanging out with Milluki, he accidentally turned on the monitor to her room, and you saw her. Milluki tried to convince you she was just another doll, but you're not a fool, you could see that was a little girl, being kept in a room with no windows.

Since now the secret was out, the family allowed you to speak to her, but warned you not to reveal your name to her, as it could be very dangerous.

They didn't explain her powers to you, just told you that she was extremely dangerous, but when you walked through the security door, she still looked and acted like a normal girl, though the aura around her was a little odd.

When Alluka first saw you, she believed you to be another butler, but when Silva clarified through the speakers that you were her lost sibling, the little girl seemed ecstatic. "Lost... sibling? That's so cool! Wait so- you come from outside? Woooow! Hey hey, can you teach me some games others play??"

The speed at which she accepts you is a little jarring, but maybe it's because you behave normally around her, you're right there in front of her, in the flesh, instead of talking to her through a speaker like everyone else in the family does.

Until the day in which Killua manages to free her, you take it upon yourself to descend to her room and play with her or just keep her company. The family's always watching you, of course, but it's still better than leaving her on her own.

🪭Kalluto🪭

At first, you didn't know what kind of boy Kalluto was. He almost seemed more of an accessory to Kikyo than an actual child. He was obedient to a fault, and never did anything outside of what his parents told him to do.

He saw the way Kikyo treated you, and he did the same, giving you a warm welcome in the family.

You wondered if he truly meant it though, because aside from being nice to you whenever his mother was in the room, he mostly just ignored you. He wasn't rude to you, but also didn't make an effort to get to know you more.

That is until he's the one seeking you out. He's seen you hanging out with Killua a lot, how even if you're older and leagues weaker, he seems to have fun with you. "Big brother Killua never wants to play with me like that... why are you so... popular with him? I don't understand..."

You can tell he's jealous, although, it wasn't your intention to make him feel excluded, so you do the only thing you can do, and reassure him that whenever you're spending time with Killua, you'll also make sure to include him.

He's taken aback, probably doesn't even believe you, but you keep to your promise, you make sure the two brothers get the chance to play together.

Killua is a bit awkward the first few times, but eventually, he warms up to Kalluto. He doesn't show it but... he's really happy about it. Maybe outsiders aren't so bad after all.

👒Kikyo👒

Meeting Kikyo was perhaps the most overwhelming, but at the same time cathartic experience. Just like with Illumi, you had very faint memories of her.

She was overjoyed to have finally found you again, she never stopped looking for you all these years, and shed a few... actually a lot of tears when she could finally hug you again.

Kikyo can be quite overbearing as you soon find out, which reminds you of Illumi, though in her case it's even more so, as she's trying to make up for all the time together you've lost.

Sometimes, she keeps you around her for hours, just to chat and teach you all sorts of weird assassination techniques, until Silva tells her to let you go for a while.

☄️Silva☄️

Silva was a lot more stoic than your mother when you first met him. He welcomed you back home, but you could feel he wasn't as excited about your return as Kikyo.

The reason was that, of course, you hadn't received proper training, so aside from the natural Zoldyck strength, you didn't have much else going on for you.

At the same time, he's perhaps the one who's looking out for you the most. He's very aware of the danger that comes with being a Zoldyck, even more-so an untrained Zoldyck.

He allows you freedom to go in and out of the manor, but you're always accompanied by his most trusted butlers.

You notice Silva expresses his care in indirect ways, but that doesn't mean he cares any less about you than the other members.

🐲Zeno🐲

Zeno, much like Silva, was a bit difficult to read at first. He's definitely a bit more mellow than his son, but he's still the big boss around there.

This old man is like an enigma, it's rather obvious he's not really interested in making you an assassin, considering you're past the point where you can develop all the skills the others have, he kind of ignores you.

At the same time, having led a fairly normal life compared to theirs, you've brought a certain vibe in the house that he hadn't felt in years.

He asks you to join him for tea sometimes, and basically interrogates you on your life, for seemingly no other purpose outside of gathering information.

He has a tendency to be a bit of a chatter box, going on tangents whenever you mention something he's familiar with. He's a weird old man, in an endearing sort of way.

I personally think that Kikyo would absolutely be thrilled that Illumi found himself a man he wants to marry as strong, handsome and fit to be Zoldyck as Hisoka.

Hisoka is strong enough to be considered an equal to a zoldyck, which means strength is no problem for him. And I don't know about you but the way he assassinated that terradin man that was threatening to reveal illumis identity at the end of the election arc? CHEFS. KISS. THATS A WHOLE ZOLDYCK WIFE RIGHT THERE. And Hisoka is a certain type of fucked up enough to be a Zoldyck, even if he is... mmm.. self aware. Even if he himself thinks zoldycks are a special kind of fucked up. He'd fit.

I always see people make silva and kikyo disagree with illumi marrying hisoka but i soooo heavily disagree. Like what is there NOT to be proud of in Illumi's marriage choice. There is not a single other character IN THE ENTIRE ANIME fit to be Zoldyck than Hisoka Morow and I will fight people on that.

Something a lot of people also don't realize is that the Zoldycks are not a family that discriminates in the slightest (this is a whole discussion on its own but examples are how Kikyo is from meteor city, the butlers are taken from anywhere as long as they have the skill to work and one of the people who attacked kukuroo mountain to hunt the zoldycks now works for them instead. The zoldycks didnt hesitate to hire that mf they fr dont gaf lmfao)

there are soooooooo many misconceptions about the zoldycks in general and i think thats what aids the whole "the zoldycks would HATE hisoka" thing but like. nah. they wouldnt.

I also think about how Kikyo found Silva at such a young age. I bet she was constantly nagging Illumi and asking when he'd get a partner himself. Now he's got it, Millukiiii ITS YOOOURRR TURRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!

One with no common sense wouldn't pin Illumi Zoldyck as the clingy type, but you knew better.

Both day and night, he would always ask for some sort of affection from you be it small kisses, hugs, cuddles, literally any form of skinship was something magical to him.

Your friends, Killua and Gon, started to tease you, claiming that Illumi was going to marry you the moment he steps foot back on kukuroo mountain and that the only thing that was stopping him from taking your hand in holy matrimony was that he had to raise Killua to be the perfect assassin in the Zoldyck family.

Although Kurapika and Leorio would immediately shut down these wild remarks. Illumi would smile at their comments, (from a distance since Killua would once again be disobedient if he found out he was being stalked) Illumi was obviously pleased with the thought of being with you until he grows old but he didn't want to take you by force.

He wants you to want him.

He has his charms and he continuously abuses them so often, he always has some sort of trick up his sleeve. It didn't help that he would just casually appear wherever you were and he would take up your time. A part of him knew that monopolizing you like this was wrong but he told himself that it was all going to be worth it.

Slow and steady wins the race as they say, and Illumi was in no rush.

a/n: Hey ya'll. I decided to work on this fanfic that I've had in my brainstorming list for a while. It still in the works but I'm thinking of not a so happy ending on the story. I'm leaning more to a toxic love story so bear with me.

about: Mei is a girl that got transported into the world of HxH by the power of a book she had bought from a seller. How was she supposed to know it was magical? Now she's in the Republic of Padokea with nothing but an envelope and a job offer. Being a butler doesn't sound too hard right?

   The Zoldyck Family. Believed to be a myth amongst the world as no one has ever even laid their eyes on a Zoldyck, and if they did chances were they wouldn’t even be alive to tell the story. But what does Mei know?!?! She just ended up in this world one day at random. All that she knows of this world is what she heard and seen. She never read the book that brought her here! Mei dug through her bag to find the flyer she had been given. 

                               BUTLERS NEEDED

               Mountain with nothing but a few of your possessions.

  At first Mei had no intention of going but after assessing her current situation she realized she wasn’t in the place to decline having just gotten thrown into this world out of random. She needed to survive somehow and this was her only other option other than just dying. She looked around at the many applicants, some were old and young, male and female, or some just looked like they came straight from a bounty hunting game. 

  How did I even get here? Wondering how a simple book she found threw her into this world of the impossible. Weird beast and different cultures she never heard of. She can just say thank you to whatever entity put her in a world with advanced technology. She wouldn’t know how to handle a primitive one. 

  While sitting on the bus her mind played a replay of the last couple of weeks she has spent in this world so far. 

I went to McDonald’s and was walking home and on my way back I came across this vendor’s booth with a lot of collectors books.

A book that caught my attention was ‘Hunter X Hunter: The Time I got Sucked into Another World by a selfish Deity!”

I paid $15 for it and took it home.

I didn’t immediately read it and had made a sticky note to but never got around to it.

But on one fateful night I ended up reading it and some weird aurora surrounded it and next thing I know I was on a beach in this strange world.

  That’s pretty much the story, A classic isekai! But she didn’t die she just got transported. Mei tried her hardest to get answers from the locals but a lot of them were just as confused as she was and thought she wasn’t well. A festival had been held a few nights ago and that’s where she met a group of people in suits. She was simply walking by them and when she looked at them, a white envelope was being shoved into her face. Mei had just laughed awkwardly at the action and took it from the man’s hand, walking a little faster and making a note to not make eye contact with anyone else.

And that is how she ended up on this bus, in this strange world going up this mountain to work for this strange mysterious family. The atmosphere on the bus is very tense almost like no one wants to really be here. Ms. Coco tried to lighten up the mood but what could a tour guide really do when the crowd is tough to work with?  

Looking out the window Mei has come to the conclusion that she might have a harder time in this world than she thought.

There were plenty of shortcuts going up the mountain but Killua preferred the longest path up. He’d rather spend 16 hours going up to that dreaded place rather than 2 hours. Leaves and sticks barely breaking under his weight as he made his way up. He wasn’t in any hurry but today a new wave of apprentice butlers were coming through and he preferred to be there during the in processing. It was nice to see the normal in people before they realized that all traces of the human they were before entering thought those horrid gates is stripped away as they become monsters. 

Killua would rather be any other person in the world than be a Zoldyck or associated with them. He hated the ways of his family, he hated killing, he hated being a puppet of darkness. He yearns for more than ‘killing’ unlike what his big brother and parents try to tell him.

All Killua wants is a friend and what he yearns to feel is ‘normal’.

There is a lot of people here, Mei would say there is at least 400 people here. It looked like a grand opening for a new store and hundreds of people lining up outside waiting to be the first people in. She wonders how many the Zoldyck’s are taking in, there is no way they are taking all of them. She sulks a little thinking she may not have a chance and then she’ll really be screwed. 

The gates were magnificent!  The dragons at the top were such a beautiful display or design but she wondered why each door was labeled. Taking in her surroundings some people were communicating while others were off on their own. Some were knocking on the door of the tiny building outside the gate while others were investigating the door next to the building. Why would they need another set of doors? Mei didn’t think too much about it and went back to looking at everything. People were playing card games, some were reading, others would be arm wrestling and some were just standing around like her. 

Mei was so focused on other stuff she didn’t realize that she was stepping in the way of another person. She didn’t know this world’s beauty standard but she would definitely put him up there with the most gorgeous meant she’s ever seen in her world.  White hair, sharp eyes, and really toned, wait white hair? Is that a natural or dyed. She recalls when looking around there were a lot of hair colors that she had never seen on a person before. 

Mei came back to reality, she has a habit of zoning out that she really needs to lose. But, the male in question was just examining her features. She’s never been studied like this before and she doesn’t know whether to be icked or complacent but she also hasn’t socialized a lot since she got here so she wouldn’t know what to do. It’s like her body teleported but her brain didn’t and it’s probably sitting on her bed for her parents to find. 

“Uh…Hello, I’m Mei. Sorry for not paying attention and knocking your skateboard out of your hand,” Mei tried to break the tension and awkwardness that was manifesting right now between them. There was no change in his demeanor and he just stayed looking at her. Mei probably shouldn’t talk but she thinks he might just be a weirdo or has social anxiety. 

“Let go.” He finally spoke! Someone is speaking to me! Wait someone is speaking to me?!?! OH NO!! 

“Huh?” 

“Let. Go.” Let go? Let go of what? What am I letting go? Is that the only words he knows how to speak? Let go…..let go….. let go….of… OF HIS HAND!

Mei immediately let go of the boy’s hand as soon as she realized she had been holding on to it. OMG IS THAT WHY HE WAS STARING AT ME?!?!? I’ve just been holding on to his hand and he’s just been waiting for me to let go of it!! I’m so stupid! He probably thinks I’m weird! Stupid, stupid, stupid Hand and Brain!

Killua could tell the girl was beating herself over what just happened, you could read this girl like a sign with very big neon letters. Raising his eyebrows at her he just walked away and made his way to the front gates. Taking a glance back he could see her. She was fresh and didn’t understand the horrific reality that was awaiting her behind the gate. Placing both hands on the 1st gate doors using his raw strength to opened ups to 16 tons. 

15 days. I give her 15 and she’s going to break, Killua though to himself.

Mei was watching the man make his way up to the gate pushing open 3 doors. She marveled at his strength and felt a little jealous that he was so strong.

In my fic, Where Shadows Touch, Illumi is an animal lover. All his life he has grown up around animals, from his father's own pack of dogs, to the diverse wildlife in Kukuroo Mountain. Ironically, when he's not in scary assasin mode, animals really like him! Before obtaining a Hunter's license, he became a certified wild life rehabber but has been helping injured/abandoned animals since he was a child. Being a Zoldyck means taking care of their mountain and forest too, and Illumi takes a very active role in that. Opossums are very importnat to maintaining the ecosystem of Kukuroo Mountain, because they keep the tick population down and eat dead things. OPOSSUMS! ARE! GOOD! Rocco was one of the opossums Illumi rehabilitated, but was unfit to return to the wild (honesty, illumi might have just loved him too much and not wanted to let him go lol) but it's okay! Rocco is loved, pampered by a fleet of butlers, and living a very glamorous life! Opossums only live an average of 4 years, so Illumi is determined to make them good for his boy ^_^ (Illumi is a very proud opossum dad)

Other animals Illumi has cared for include: deer, racoons, badgers, owls, crows and various others birds (Killua has a pet crow, rehabbed but unfit to return to the wild, he named it Twizzler. Kalluto has a pet owl named Bigleaf) foxes, turtles (mike is unfortunately responsible for many turtles that wind up in rehab because he eats and/or chews and damages their shells), chipmunks, rabbits. Illumi had 1 bear, whom he treasured greatly, and named her Ruby Fir.

okay so, according to the databooks, killua and gon's bdays are may 5th and july 7th so they're taurus and cancer

BUT I wanted to see their whole birth chart compatibility... so I needed their birth locations to do it :sob:x10 so I went to the hxh worldmap like uh, any sane person

so for this part, we don't actually know where killua and gon were born, so I had to make several assumptions:

killua was born in the zoldyck estate, on kukuroo mountain (republic of padokea)

gon was born on whale island

whale island is located in that part of the map (gonna go with this redditor's theory)

so assuming killua was born on kukuroo mountain, he'd be born around algeria according to the hxh wiki

as for gon, we'd have to do a little more sleuthing because the location of whale island is actually unknown. but if we look at the map and do a rough correlation of where whale island is supposed to be in relation to kukuroo mountain (algeria in the real world), gon would be born somewhere in west europe maybe belgium or wales???

The Nightmare of Zoldyck (Musical) was gay as fuck and here's why you should watch it.

Bingeing The Nightmare of Zoldyck reminds me just. Just how fucking gay it was??????? And this was made almost 11 years ago???? And it's just so insane and surreal to me?????? They could've added any sort of twist to the Zoldyck Arc and yet the twist they chose was 🌈🏳️‍🌈??? In all fairness, they did also add Hisoka so maybe that's just how it is lmao

Now you may think I'm joking or being delusional—but no I swear THEY MADE IT GAY AS FUCK OK. IT'S ACTUALLY AMAZING

First, we have the obvious; the adorable, blossoming friendship between Gon and Killua. The very reason this arc exists is because Gon refused to let Illumi's teachings corrupt Killua's self-esteem. It's so, so, so touching in the manga and both anime adaptations, but in the musical they just... The songs just made it come off more romantic?

I'm biased, I love the friends-to-lovers development these two undergo, but I swear, take the shipping goggles off and it's still has a subtle if not in-your-face obvious, romantic tone.

Why? First, the presentation. The Zoldycks are introduced by Milluki through song. They each get lines which are backed up by epic music and stage effects, come together for the iconic chant of, "Zoldyck," before ultimately gathering around and sitting down.

Kalluto, Kikyo, Illumi, Silva, Milluki, and Zeno have a family meeting while Killua's hung above them, representing where he is in the dungeon, and right off the bat, you get hit with "forbidden romance" vibes.

The family talks about what Killua did, what he said, while Killua sings about how he doesn't want to inherit his dad's position. HE ALSO SINGS THIS LINE WHICH IS SO?????

And he sings a little after Illumi visits him in the dungeon and, y'know, messes with his head even more. He writes a letter of sorts to Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio, telling them they should go to protect them from Illumi and he just sounds SO heartbroken...

Then we skip forward, this is after the gang has won Gotou's approval. Gon writes a letter, and it's so fucking sweet because it's basically him saying look. Look at Zebro, Gotou, Canary, these people who care for you, who love you. You're not alone, we understand your feelings, ok? AND THIS PANEL IN PARTICULAR IS SO RAPUNZEL SO ROMEO AND JULIET IDK

And that super serious discussion between Killua and Silva? He gushes about Gon a lot, and they really took some liberties with Silva because this man keeps grinning like he knows his son's got a crush.

And of course Gon's not gonna back down. Canary asks how their Young Master Killua was like, outside Kukuroo Mountain, and... just look.

I'm not gonna include every damn time they sing together but when they finally meet? They're so. so happy. I can't.

And there's this scene after the party (yes they have a goodbye party of sorts for Killua) where Killua thanks Gon for coming to get him and Gon says ofc we're friends and they play around and they're so happy together...

There's also this moment when it all goes to shit and THIS SONG SLAPS Gon metaphorically slaps Killua out of it too but just. Just listen to it, it made me cry

And since this happens right after the Hunter's Exam, Kurapika and Leorio are still a bit wary of Killua, so while Gon's ecstatic and unwavering about being Killua's friend, the other two sort of bond in the sidelines as well?

Take this shot of leopika dancing. It's short and sweet and they're so stupid but they're at least getting along!!!

I forgot they bickered a lot, especially during the Hunter's Exam, but now look at them. This isn't the gayest part though, because Leorio finds out there's a hot spring in the Zoldyck mansion... and... yeah... I'll let y'all watch this scene for yourselves but uh, stuff happens and I fucking screamed is all

They also share a bit in the end where Gon sniffs Zebro??? And he says that Zebro has a similar scent to Leorio??? And leopika turn to each other and go:

And of course, I saved the murder husbands for last. While the gang have their fun, we would sometimes cut to black and these two would be shown, scheming in the dark and talking about their own plans.

Mind you, there is no fucking explanation as to why Hisoka's there. His narrative purpose is ofc to sow chaos and stir trouble, look out for Gon or whatever, but why is he here specifically in the Zoldyck Estate is never stated. BUT he does refer to it as a vacation. Twice.

Like sure this is just him being a little shit but COME ON. If Illumi really didn't want him there, he'd have chased Hisoka out, swatting him with a broom while at it. But no. They scheme in the dark and Illumi shows him around and Hisoka says it's a vacation. Wonder who could've invited him.......

This interaction also happens. And I will only be thinking about this for the foreseeable future.

Insane that the killugon heart-to-heart, leopika hot spring moment, and hisoillu bickering happen back to back to back. They're all paired off. The way they switch the audience's perspective actually really satisfying. Each couple gets their alone time and it's like seeing the different stages of a relationship. INSANE and HELLA GAY

And, of course, the heart of the cards—easily one of the most iconic lines Hisoka's said, which is, coincidentally, the point of conflict of the entire musical

While Killua's fighting for his life, here's the magician who's basically getting everything he's ever wanted served on a silver platter. This mf is so happy he got to fight Illumi's family lmaoooo

I just. I love this musical so much. It used to be my comfort watch when I first got into HxH, and while I joke about how fucking gay it turned out to feel (I'm being serious about it though) I do think it's a great production.

The actors did amazing, the dance/fight sequences and the dialogue were so well done, and it just added so much depth to the Zoldycks, y'know? I do wish Alluka was here, but we all know why she's not... That would've been so fun though.

This is a question that rarely gets asked, but do you think Kikyo Zoldyck has a hidden side to her? I don't necessarily mean a good or softer side, but a reason to explain why she is the way she is? One post I saw brings up the fact that she had grown up in Meteor City, a place where the residents have very warped ideas regarding your place in the world/relationships with loved ones (exhibit A: The Phantom troupe). I'm willing to bet she has a lot lot of generational trauma from growing up in that hellhole and then being whisked off to Kukuroo Mountain as a teen bride (considering she had Illumi when she was 18) in what must have been a very drastic and disorienting change in social standing. Hell, she probably didn't even have parents, or if she did, then they probably weren't really good ones; she literally has no idea what being a mother truly is, and if she had to claw her way up in the world to the point of being able to marry Silva, then no wonder she doesn't bat an eye at torturing her own children (after all, gritting her teeth through all the suffering and hardship worked out great for her in the end, didn't it?). In fact, I wager that is why she (and by extension Illumi) is so fixated on Killua being the heir. Why would her darling son ever give up a life of wealth, privilege, and security? Why won't he appreciate her sacrifices and all that she had to do to get this life? It also adds a lot of dimensions to why Illumi or Kalluto are the most devoted out of all the Zoldycks; since they spent the most time with her, they probably were exposed to her anxieties and fears the most.

Again, none of this is to excuse the abuse or trauma she inflicted on her own children, but it does add a lot of depth to her beyond being a nagging wife.

Togashi tends to imbue his characters with a sense of humanity even when their appearances are brief, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Kikyo has reasons like this for the person she became and the decisions she makes. Very few characters in HxH can be considered purely "good" or "evil" in any sense--above all, they're portrayed as being humans with their own individual interests and motivations (which are understandable to a degree even in cases where the actions they lead to clearly aren't excusable).

I do like that, even with her small role in the series, we're left with little tidbits of her that are intriguing and in themselves lead to a sense that we can connect a narrative to them--like the fact that she's from Meteor City, must have been young when she married Silva, and the mystery of her visor and why she wears it/what function it might serve exactly. It's entirely probable her background explains her emotional instability and attitude around Killua, though of course at this point we don't have enough info to say for certain what her full backstory might be.

The way you filled in the gaps would make a wonderful basis for a fanfic, honestly!

I'm not sure if we'll ever get more solid info on her in canon with how much remains unanswered and unfinished in the series as it is, but regardless it's amazing how even the small bits of info we're provided on her offer enough for you to put together this compelling writing on how she came to be the way she is and how it affects her children. I would love it if we get more info on her and the rest of the Zoldycks in the future of the series, but regardless this makes a great argument for the potential basis of her character, and it connects well with the facts we do have on her. The three missing zoldycks.

It has been a widely known fact that Maha is the most unknown zoldyck in the bunch. Which I find that assumption to be actually false. Granted, the guy is a mystery just as much as the Dark Continent itself but he’s not the only one in the family who is deemed as mysterious. All we know about the guy is that he’s stand-offish, is an enhancer according to the Hunter’s Guide and doesn’t frequently interact with his own family.

Besides him, we also have Zigg Zoldyck and Zeno’s wife. Yes, Zeno’s wife has been mentioned only once, very early in the story.

When Gon, Kurapika and Leorio get on the tour bus for Kukuroo Mountain, Coco Loo (the bus guide) mentions that the family currently consists of five siblings, the parents, a set of grandparents, and a great-grandfather.

We know Maha couldn’t have possibly been the great-grandfather of the family because in this small diagram made by Zeno, we can see Maha positioned above the great-grandfather which makes him the great-great-grandfather of the family instead.

Maha is not only NOT mentioned in the numeration of Coco Loo but his position in the family relationship diagram being labelled as “basically untouched” encourages the fact that he is laid aside from the family.

As for Zigg, he has been mentioned by Coco Loo’s numeration as the “great-grandfather” and Zeno’s wife as a set with Zeno when Coco said “a set of grandparents”. Coco Loo has also specified in her explanation that the composition of the Zoldyck family is a recent one meaning that the members she just enumerated are currently alive.

Maha’s existence and place in the family has strangely not been stated by Coco Loo almost as if he wasn’t even alive to be mentioned and yet, we saw him fully active and well when he joined Kalluto and Illumi’s assassinations of the Ten Dons.

Whether it was Maha’s choice to be cast aside from the family or not is up for debate.

When it comes to Zigg, all we know about him is that he was the one responsible for bringing the calamity Ai from the Dark Continent back to the known world which must’ve slowly gained consciousness as the generations went one by one. (For this topic, I considered Zigg to be the great-grandfather of the family since he seems pretty young in this panel while Netero is an old man compared to him.)

We don’t know where he currently is, all we know is that he is still alive but NOT present in the zoldyck family relationship diagram.

As for Zeno’s wife, she remains a complete enigma.

We’re 400 chapters deep in the manga and we don’t have a clue on who she is, how she looks like, where she is, what is she like and especially what is her connection with the family. Not only that, but she is such a mystery in fact that we don’t even know her name or her relationship with her husband Zeno. You’d think that for being the grandmother of the family you’d have a place in the zoldyck family relationship diagram and yet she’s nowhere to be found. She doesn’t even have a circle of her own with a heart line directed towards Zeno like how Silva and Kikyo’s line looked. All we know about her, is that she is alive thanks to Coco Loo’s explanation of the family composition.

So in short, here are the three missing zoldycks ranked from the most mysterious (1) to the least mysterious (3).

1. Zeno’s wife

2. Maha Zoldyck

3. Zigg Zoldyck

(I chose to rank Zigg as the least mysterious zoldyck since we know more things about him than his other vague relatives like who his allies are and what he accomplished.)

PS: Also I should mention that Zeno’s wife’s silhouette in the anime doesn’t count as a hint on what she could look like since the manga never showed her design.

Hanzo tripped Gon, making him fall face first into the ground. "I'll break your arm," He placed his knee on Gon's back, one of his hands placed on his shoulder blade and the other tightly grasping his wrist. Everyone was frowning now. Even Killua. "I'm not kidding," Hanzo told him, reassuring everyone that he really would do it. "Now, say it. Say you give up."

Gon seemed to contemplate something, before shouting the obvious answer, "Never!"

And Hanzo broke his arm. The sound of the bone shattering and popping, reminded Y/N of her own bones breaking. She knew how much it hurt, the pain of having the bone become separated.

Y/N couldn’t bear to look and turned away, upset at the sight of her friend. She bit her lip and excused herself from the arena.

“Eh, where are you going, Y/N!?” Leorio yelled after her. She ignored him as she exited through the side door.

The blood pounded in her ears. Her heart thudded in her chest, her hands shook and her vision was disfigured. She had to get away. Something was creeping through her skin and becoming irksome, like an itch she couldn’t itch.

She felt nauseous and felt like she couldn’t breathe. What was happening? She was so confused and distraught as she collapsed near the fountain. The fountain trickled with water as she felt herself look at it in disgust, how similar blood and water looked when all she could see was red.

Why was it so hard to breathe for Y/N? Why was she shaking and crying and dizzy at the same time and why did she feel so hot yet had goosebumps crawled upon her skin? She felt horrible. Like a monster.

Her hands started to tremble, and she could see them shaking uncontrollably. The room seemed to close in around her even though she was outside, and the walls felt like they were inching closer. A wave of heat surged through her body, followed by a chilling sweat that made her skin clammy.

Was she having a heart attack?! What was happening?! She was definitely having a heart attack! Her vision blurred, and she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. She needed to get out, to escape this suffocating space. 

She needed to leave…

Y/N felt herself jolt awake as she felt Gon shaking her from her nightmarish sleep. “Y/N! You’re awake!”

“I am now…” Y/N sighed as she sat up. Gon handed the girl a glass of water which she gratefully drank a sip of, “Did the Exam end?”

“Yeah… it’s been an hour since it ended.”

“I didn’t pass did I?”

“No…” Gon sighed, “Someone said you had passed out near the fountain outside. What happened?”

“Just passed out.” She lied, “Nothing important… Where's everyone else?”

“Outside waiting for you.” Gon said. He, of course, explained everything to Y/N. Especially everything that happened with Killua, of course.

“Ah… I knew that Gitturakur guy was suspicious.” Y/N sighed, “How’s your arm?”

“It’s in a cast so I’m sure it’s gonna be fine soon.”

“Alright… When are we going to go after Killua?” Y/N asked her friend as he sat down next to her.

“Tomorrow.” Gon explained. “We’re gonna go find Killua and bring him back!”

Y/N smiled along with Gon. She couldn’t help it. His smile was contagious. “Sounds like a plan, Gon.”

…NEXT DAY…

"Y/N!" Gon called her name. Looking over at him with blank eyes, Y/N awaited him to ask his question, “Do y’know what The Republic of Padokea is?"

"Hm? Uh, yeah. I know where it is.”

"Oh? Then do you know where Kukuroo Mountain is?" Kurapika looked away from the screen and up at Y/N.

"I don't know where it is, but I know a few things about it. I really only know one key place of The Republic of Padokea, which is Kukuroo Mountain," She told them.

Kurapika nodded and went back to the screen, explaining that it would take three days by airship to be there. Y/N rubbed her hands.  “Sorry, not much of a helper am I?” She smiled with a sort of guilt.

Gon shook his head with a smile on his face, "It's fine, you've been pretty out of it since the ceremony, so don't worry about it." 

Y/N nodded, not responding as they started making plans. Why was the taxi car so expensive? Surely the traffic to the airport wasn’t that bad, was it?

So it turns out traffic was pretty bad, making it almost impossible to go to Kukuroo Mountain today. Y/N tried to give Gon some room, since he was the one with the broken arm, but it was almost impossible without squishing Kurapika. Thankfully, she could put her violin case in her lap.

"C'mon, move it pops!" Leorio rudely screamed at the cab driver.

"Don't be so rude," Y/N told him. "He's only doing his job, you can't expect him to manipulate traffic.

Gon rubbed his chin, before coming up with an idea, "Well in that case…”

"Please not running, please not running," Y/N whispered to herself. She didn’t feel like running after a panic attack.

"We can just run there!" He exclaimed, already pushing Y/N and Kurapika out of the car. Once he was out, he began speeding down the wall that kept cars from driving into the ocean. Why did Gon have to be such an energetic kid?

"Hey Gon, do you know how far the airport is?" Leorio asked him, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"Sure," Gon turned to look at the three of you with his smile, "But I want to hurry and save Killua!"

“Fine.” Y/N said before picking up the pace, smiling at Gon. “Race you to the airport!”

“You’re on!” Gon yelled as he ran at a faster pace with a laugh.

Y/N sat on the aisle seat next to Leorio, so she couldn't even stare out the window. Soon enough, they had pointed out Kukuroo Mountain, which they were just passing by. A dark cloud surrounded the summit, almost as if it didn't want anyone to see what was in it.

Once the bus had stopped at the closest village to the mountain, the group began to ask around for any and all information.

Y/N had asked a middle-aged lady, who's red hair stuck out from beneath her bandana, "Kukuroo Mountain? You'll want to take the scenic bus tour there. It runs only once a day, but you'll at least have a guide to show you around."

She thanked the lady and followed the three guys around. She didn’t like this feeling of existential dread that came from that mountain. Whatever it was… Y/N didn’t like it.

Pretty soon into the ride, Leorio ended up falling asleep as the lady continued talking about the Zoldyck family. "Mother and father, five siblings, grandparents, and great-grandfather all of whom are assassins," the lady with large hair continued on.

"Five siblings? We'll know that Killua is one," Gon began speaking. “And Illumi is another," he held out his hand, which had two fingers pointed up.

"There was the one that he stabbed,” Y/N pointed out, making him raise a finger.

Gon looked at his finger, before looking back at her with a big smile on his face, "So there are two Zoldyck kids that we haven't heard about then!’

Y/N nodded to his statement, stifling a small yawn. She hadn’t slept since the fourth phase. Closing her eyes, leaning onto the window and soon lulled asleep.

Waking up to the Zoldyck gate was more intimidating than Y/N thought it would be. Two dragons were on top of the walls, their mouths opened. There were 7 different gates, each looking bigger than the previous one. Each of them had a number carved into them, showing which gate they were.

And there was a small office box to the right of it. Y/N stood next to Kurapika, as a lady and her friends took pictures in front of it. The lady who was our tour guide continued explaining what it was.

"This is the front gate of the Zoldyck Mansion. No one who has entered has ever returned alive, which has given this gate the nickname 'The Door to Hades,” she told us, gesturing to the gate. "Beyond this is private property, so this is as far as we can legally go."

"But the mountain is all the way over there? How is this the front gate?!" Leorio asked, pointing to the giant gate that was looming overhead.

The lady nodded, "The Zoldyck family own Kukuroo Mountain, every inch of it, including all of the surrounding land."

“Man, talk about rich, right Gon?” Y/N turned and Gon nodded, his eyes not leaving ‘The Door to Hades’.

"So, you're saying this is their front yard?" Leorio asked, completely dumbfounded.

"Always knew Killua was a nepo baby." Y/N muttered.

Gon turned to the lady. "Miss Tour Guide? What're we gonna have to do to get inside?" He asked, pointing to the gates.

"Do we have to ask someone for a key or do we have to climb the wall?" Y/N added on, looking to the top of the wall, “I think climbing sounds the easiest, right?”

"Weren't either of you paying attention?" The lady tilted her head and shot you a condescending smile.

"Well, yeah, but-" Gon was swiftly interrupted by the lady.

"If you go inside, you'll never come back out," she looked close to snapping her flag pole, just out of sheer frustration. "It's an assassin's hideout," the smile came back and her whole body language was saying no.

Two guys, one tall and blond, the other short and brunette, walked behind her. "It's a total sham,” the short one was carrying a giant sword.

“A family of assassins, no one has ever seen?" The blond spoke.

"We can get a hundred million in reward money, just for snapping a picture of them," the short one said again.

‘I knew Killua was pretty, but did his face have to be worth that much?’ Y/N thought before turning pink. ‘Wait, what?!’

"Seriously?!" Leorio snapped his fingers. "I should have taken a picture of Killua!”

The two men kept talking and walked up to the office box, throwing the door open and grabbed the security guard that was on duty by his collar. "Open the gate," the blond one yelled.

The security guard looked uncomfortable, "I'm afraid I can't, the master of the house wouldn't approve of such a thing.” The guard began sweating bullets and looking this way and that.

After threatening their master, the guard gave them the key. They grabbed it and threw the old man to the ground, walking to the side gate and opening it up.

Gon and Y/N had both ran to the guard, helping him stand up and making sure he was okay. "Oh, darn. The master hates it when Mike snacks between meals," the guard shook his head disapprovingly.

“Who’s Mike?” Y/N asked curiously. Was he a servant?

A giant purple furry paw opened the door, two human skeletons in its claws. The skeletons still had the clothes on, it was the people from before. The paw dropped them on the ground and closed the door shut.

Everyone else began running to the tour bus, but Y/N, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio stayed put. The lady called out to them, but upon learning that the group wasn't planning to leave, she started up the bus and hit the road.

"Huh, Mike is only supposed to eat at designated time,” the security guard scratched his head, where his hat had fallen off when he hit the ground.

Once Gon and Y/N had helped him up, he invited them all inside the booth. Once we explained the whole situation to him, he took it with ease and even poured us some tea.

"So, you're young master Killua's friends, are you?" Zebro asked. Y/N nodded happily with Gon as he beamed with pride. “Happy to hear it," Zebro smiled widely. "I've worked here for twenty years now, and as much as I can remember, you four are the first friends to visit. Now I probably shouldn't be telling you this, seeing that I work here, but no one ever visits here, so it gets lonely from time to time.”

He sat down in a seat nearby, beginning a small speech. “Except those types," He pointed a thumb to the trashcan where he dumped the skeletons from before, "We get plenty of those. But a family of assassins is bound to be unusual, guess that's the price they have to pay. I'm so glad you came, thank you for coming.”

“What do you mean, ‘thank you for coming’?” Y/N asked, he wasn’t going to turn them away was he?

"Oh, don't mention it," Leorio said modestly, as if he wasn't just griping about getting Killuas picture.

"However, that doesn't mean I'm going to let any of you inside," Zebro continued. He began talking about the beast Mike, and how it's supposed to kill every single intruder.

Kurapika asked a great question, "So how is it you get inside? It's unlikely they would give you a key, if not to let you inside.”

"Very perceptive. You're only around half right, you see," He reached into his pocket, "I don't need a key to get inside." 

He brought out the key from before, the one he gave the intruders. "This key is specially made for intruders. Almost all of them go for the front gate. About ninety percent, couldn't tell you why though." He then went on to explain why they installed the locked door next to it. Turns out, he wasn't a security guard. He was more like a zookeeper for Mike.

"So the front gate isn't locked?" Y/N asked, looking back at it.

"Correct," Zebro gave the girl a sly smile.

The group all watched as Leorio moved his arm around in circles, ready to attempt to open the gate. He landed both of his palms flat on it and pushed with all he had. His face slowly started to turn red from over- exertion before he gave up.

"I'm afraid you're just not strong enough,” Zebro laughed, watching as Leorio waved his wrists limply.

Leorio turned to look at Zebro and yelled, "Shut up! I was giving it everything I got!"

Zebro took off his jacket, tie, and dress shirt, leaving him in a white wife beater. "This gate is known as the 'Testing Gate’," He said, laying his palms flat on the surface. "Because anyone who's not strong enough to open it, is considered unworthy." He opened the first gate, his breath coming out wheezy.

"The door closes automatically, so you'll want to slip in while you can. Oh, and Mike won't harm you. He has strict orders not to touch anyone who comes through the Testing Gate," Zebro explained, placing his hands on his hips. "The first door weighs two tons each, each door is twice as heavy as the ones prior to it. In fact, when young master Killua returned to the estate, he opened three of them, just like that.”

"Three, that's like, twelve tons,” Gon did the mental math.

“It's sixteen tons, Gon," Kurapika corrected, his arms folded. Gon nervously laughed and rubbed the back of his neck.

“Excuse me,” Y/N raised her hands and smiled, “Would I be able to use a weapon?”

Zebro looked at her before nodding. “I’m not sure what weapon you’d choose, but go on ahead, young lady.” 

Y/N smiled and stood in front of it. She let out a shaky breath before opening her violin case and placing her violin on her shoulder. Y/N’s fingers rested lightly on the violin’s neck, and as the bow touched the strings, the first haunting notes of the melody rang out. 

The opening was delicate, almost fragile, like the twinkling of snowflakes falling gently from the sky. Her bow flew across the strings with lightning speed, her fingers a blur as they pressed and released in perfect sync with the rapid-fire notes.

Slowly, the door grinded on the dirt as the first door started to open. Y/N sucked in a breath before continuing to play louder and louder, her eyes going a milky white once again.

The music swelled, growing more intense, as Y/N transitioned into the faster sections of the piece.  Her violin seemed to sing, not just playing the notes, but expressing something deeper- anger, excitement, and a little bit of sadness.

“Impressive. Opening the two doors easily.” Zebro commented as Y/N snapped out of her trance.

“Easily isn’t something I’d use…” Y/N sighed as she set down her violin into it’s case, “Is it okay if I go on ahead?” She turned to Zebro. Who eventually nods. She smiled and looked back at Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika.

“Go get Killua!” Gon smiled, “We’ll meet you there, Y/N!”

Y/N nodded before pushing the gates open again and slipping through it. She felt a strange aura coming from… The trees? She looked up to see an amazingly enormous creature towering over her. A sense of fear and shock ripples through her as she ignored it.

‘That must be Mike…’ She thought, ‘He won’t attack me if I go through the testing gate… Remember that, Y/N…’

Still, it’s eyes. They’re soulless and machinelike… Nothing organic at all. Y/N frowned as she continued to travel throughout the forest. In search of the Zoldyck Mansion.

In search of Killua.

“Ah… look at this girl…” Kikyo muttered under her breath (Honestly Kikyo reminds me of those Tiktok mom POVS that are like, “Teaching my son how to cook bc his girlfriend won’t for him” or smth like that.) “Milluki!” Kikyo yelled.

“Yes, Mama?” Milluki asked quickly. He was at his mothers beck and call. It was honestly kind of annoying.

“Tell Kil a little friend of his has visited.” Kikyo giggled and rambled to herself as she continued to watch Y/N jump through the forest quickly, “Oh… Such a strong girl...”

Killua was chained up in a torture room as the door suddenly opened, revealing Milluki. “You know, mother told me you had a friend here.”

Killua looked up. ‘Gon?!’

“Looks like your little girlfriends strong, Kil. Two testing gates.” Milluki sneered, “Just wait until Mother puts her head on a stick and all your other friends..”

Killua looked up, actually surprised. Y/N? She was able to open two testing gates? Killua frowned. Why would Y/N be after him? Why would Gon be here?

“Are you even listening to me?!” Milluki yelled as he held a whip and lashed onto his other brother's scarred upper body.

Killua didn’t even wanna look up. He was conflicted on how he felt about Y/N. Why was she here? She just disappeared and now she’s here? What about Gon? He didn't deserve to be his friend after what he did to her.

Milluki smiled, “Powerful, and guess what I found. She’s a L/N. Sound familiar?” Killua didn’t answer and Milluki cracked his whip onto Killua’s face. “She’s from a powerful family. A corrupt company working with the Mafia… She’ll sell good when we bring her in for a bounty.”

Killua knew Milluki was trying to rile him up to get a reaction. He wasn't planning on giving his pig of a brother the satisfaction but something protective flared in his body. Something possessive. “Don’t touch her.” Killua spat, “Touch her… And I’ll kill you.”

I saw some people asking this a while ago so here I figured out how old Illumi is in this photo #1.

Facts: This photo is from the same scene as this one with Killua photo #2. This flashback is from when Canary defeated the intruders that the main entrance guard of Kukuroo mountain said happened 3 years ago (from when gon was trying to get to Killua at the Zoldyck’s home on Kukuroo mountain) So 12-3=9 Killua was 9. Illumi 24 in the exam so 24-3=21

Short answer: Illumi is 21 in this photo.

Observations: Illumi’s outfit is more plain than usual. His hair is shorter. Killua doesn’t seem afraid of him.

Theories: Illumi had not yet met Hisoka ie Hisoka Influenced his fashion choices 😂 Killua was “behaving“ at this time.
