Common but underrated, I love the variegation patterns on Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Princess’ (or Tricolor, pretty sure they are the same). This plant started from a cutting and despite some severe neglect has really thrived. Waiting on a bloom now that it’s getting consistent care.

I have many hoyas getting ready to bloom! Very exciting! The rangsan has 8 peduncles forming so far and it'll be it's first flowers ever so I'm really looking forward to them

In order: krimson queen, bella, DS-70, rangsan

I changed the soil I used for my Hoyas to a fine orchard mix and honestly I should have sooner...

My Krimson Queen is typically the easiest to please anyways and has been doing great with my neglect (sometimes forgetting to water for a month opps) but she's a survivor and has rewarded me deciding to change things up.

Look at all those new growth points!! And I didn't even take a photo of all of them 👀

Sunrise (A) now this poor guy has had a rough go of it... mealybugs, random root rot issues... they used to be much bigger and only just now after this recent soil change did it feel like they finally are bouncing back 🥺 I was really worried I was gonna kill this one but suddenly I've got all these nice new growth starting and the leaves are looking much better!

Sunrise (B) now.... I was so convinced I was going to kill my first one when I saw this little baby at the store I had to grab him.... 😭 there is the hint of some sunstress which I'm hoping to draw out more (that red color)

This one definitely dried out all its new vines at the store before I got it so it'll probably be a couple more weeks before I start to see anything new coming in... which is the joy of Hoyas honestly... they surprise you when you least expect it :^)

Also the new soil mix dries out very fast so I've been watering weekly as a small change of pace and I think that's also helping quite a bit! You can leave an established hoya dry for a while and get away with it but I think more regular watering contributes to faster growth and healthy roots.
