I Just Finished Watching Marvel's Daredevil

The ending was actually so healing. I am breathing deep sighs now. The worst thing about Daredevil is all the wonderful characters that got killed along the way though. And Fisk. Damn Fisk. Honestly, I skipped probably at least a whole episode's worth of Fisk scenes over the series because I couldn't bear to watch him.

One great thing that was part of Daredevil was getting to know the Punisher. Frank's introduction was actually SO well done. I only know this now that I watched The Punisher S1, because before that I just thought he was a side character to Daredevil, but the way he is built into the narrative and the character interactions and everything so that he has the perfect foundation to begin his own series is incredible. He's an awesome character and I think we are spoilt that there's two other seasons of him after Daredevil.

My favourite female side character was Claire, and I definitely shipped her with Matt considering imo they had the most chemistry and I just really liked her. I saw her in The Defenders and heard that she is in other series, but for me she is always going to be Matt's short term trauma-bonding nurse friend lol. She's such a cool person though and I don't blame her for making the grown up decision to keep her distance from Matt.

Karen on the other hand didn't hit it off for me at the start. I didn't really like her that much and I also think she NEVER had chemistry with Matt. (*ahem* The writers should not have forced them together for that little period of time and it was solely done for the drama on screen. *krhm*) However, by probably about the middle of season 2 and probably also around the time when Karen offed James Westley, things changed and she started to be quite a bit more badass. She stopped being so scared to be herself I think, and toughened up a lot and I started to like her more.

Aside from that, I don't really have more thoughts at the moment. Except for all the normal brainrot about absent father figures and setting that might mean something etc etc. The moment when Matt/Daredevil confronts Fisk after considering killing him, when he says he won't kill him... that was SUCH a 10/10 moment.

Lance's parents always knew he was gay, so the part of him dating a guy wasn't the problem. Lawrence was pretty stunned at first that it was a 37-something year old and then stunned again that it was Fernando. But he took a second to think and since Lance is a pretty level-headed person, he was okay with it. Nothing dramatic, Lawrence is chill as hell all the time and he trusts his kids to be smart.

Lance's mom on the other hand went a bit ballistic when she found out it was Fernando (everyone kept it from her for a while to come up with the best way to break the news but she found out on her own), because of course, Lance was and will always be her little baby boy, so who is this OLD-ASS MAN trying to get him way from her????? It took some persuading and actually meeting the Spaniard to turn her head around that the man was going to take care of Lance.

The grid was pretty much fine with it, all be it a little surprised. Sure, Nando had never hid that he liked both men and women and Lance had always had... a vibe about him, but them getting together was not on anyone's bingo card. Fernando had a reputation of playing mind games with EVERYONE to get what was best for him personally and they thought he was a little bit intimidating, but Lance was such a sweetheart and they all liked the kid so so much 🥺🥺. So them matching up was a surprise. War criminal + An actual angel is a strange combination.

I can't imagine any of the current OR retired drivers having a problem with it (krhm...egg head.. but we don't mention his name) and I feel like it wouldn't be a big deal to them. Maybe strange at first, but they'd get used to it. I think guys like Seb, Lewis and Romain would be sending congratulations cards to them while the others would just go "Okay! 👍 Anyway, as I was saying..." 😂

I silently make my way to your ask box, after days of reading your content like a lurker I'm. During these days I have made an oc, CoD self insert (With Monster AU variant and today I bombed my unwilling friend with Monster AU Makarov x Self insert brainrot, because I got succumbed to all cute courting hcs etc.) and started impulse One-shot. . I love your way of writing, In your long fic about the Mage reader, while reading, I was talking to my friend how the picturing of the magic is so good, it's ugly, hard, dirty but damn is it powerful too yet not too op. I mostly returned to the as simple scene as the shower one in chap 2, usage of words and picturing how things tasted an looked like. Being on the edge in chap 1 and even before "the janitor" comes in, something tingles in my writer head "*Something is going to happen, I can feel it.*" That fic was one of the instanses I fell in love on your way of worldbuilding too. I accidentally found your Good dog fic first, as I was trying to find something from the tags for my own unholy projects. I notice the Male reader tag and despite my hope being drained after years, I click on it. And I was so glad I did. (On a note I'm in very bad brainrot train on that man, it took the edge off.) So, out of curiosity, my mind now given water after so long for being dehydreided, I decided to take a peek. And I ended up reading a lot, finding it so refreshing to also have a top reader. And I eventually found the Trans fics. I'm Pre-transition, ftm and the first time ever, a bloody fucking nsfw fic, (besides horny), makes me happy and content *with myself and my future.* And that's most sappy I will go but I told you this that your fics has also truly imbacted in some deeper way. Okay, back to lurking, but I will be going to some recommended blogs too, because I might just go and read all of your fics again. Also about time I remember to follow you. Keep up the good work and good luck on your studies. ✌️

Solas: "escaping to fight another day is a victory."

He was proud of me. Encouraged me. The relationship feels different now. There's some trust there that wasn't there before, now that Rook knows Solas gives helpful advice and Solas knows Rook will do all it takes to stop the Evanuris. I as a player care about Solas and want to trust him and believe he can really be on our side. But Rook doesn't trust like that. Rook still believes he will turn on us if he gets a chance. But this felt like a momentary truce.

I love the system that the NPCs have more to say when you pass them by. I got emotional about the father and son wardens, the son had been telling stories to the sick and unconscious father, and now the father had gotten better and woke up 😭

Ohhhhh I found a note from Dorian!!! He is somewhere where it is too hot and too humid. I can imagine it does terrible things to his hair. I'm so relieved to hear from him. He's safe.

I love Neve's relationship to her city. Reminds me of Sam Vimes from Discworld. She loves the city exactly as it is, ugly and crooked. It is hers, and she will fight tooth and nail to protect it.

Staring at Veoc's extremely puzzled expression Eiden's eyes widen. Oops, he got a little too into that, what kind of image is he trying to paint here?! Awkwardly Eiden closes his eyes for a second. He clears his throat and gives Veoc few pats on the shoulders, cheeks gaining a red shade.

" ....krhm. My bad", he starts then giving a direct if a little awkward look at him, " but like... the point stands ok? "

Eiden's red gains another layers as he turns to continue their way to the restaurant they were heading towards.

20.7.2023 - Mork's background and past?

Looking at Mork's shirt in this picture we got today, we can see it says "Magan Medical Clinic" on it. People have been theorizing it might be bc Mork worked at a medical clinic before and switched to work as a mechanic for some reason (His debtors? Something happened that made him unable to continue? This was for some type of internship and he had to pause his studies to get money?) or that he lied about his profession to Day's family (tho I personally find this unlikely, even if I'd enjoy watching this lie unfold at some point of the story).

To be honest, I cannot think why he would be wearing this shirt. Is he lending it from someone to appear more fitting to his role? Is it a joke between Mork and Day? Is Mork really deceiving Day's family? After Mork so clearly stated in the trailer that he wasn't looking for this job to take care of someone or bc he enjoys such a job, I find it hard to believe he is a medical worker (tho ofc he could be just specializing to something else). Tho I also think there must be a reason why Namtan's character pushes Mork towards applying to this type of job out of all the options he has. Maybe he does have the experience and background. That would change the vibe I get from Mork as a character and make me even more curious about his backstory. Which I hope they will have enough time to explore during the expected 12 episodes on top of exploring Day's life, the accident, and MorkDay's relationships (with each other and with the other ppl around them).

(Also enjoyed today's other updates! Sea/Day wearing Mork's mechanic shirt [x] at the garage was adorable. I'd love to see a moment of Mork taking Day at his workplace and showing him around and maybe letting him try doing things there. Tho wearing each other's shirts also gives me... other ideas. Krhm.

They apparently also filmed on the street today [x] so probably the scenes of Mork taking Day outside and Day learning to walk with the cane? Mork telling Day he doesn't have to be so stubborn and can accept help etc., you know the scene. I'm positively vibrating. It is all coming together and it makes me so emotional to see this.
