"Kinard!" A loud voice calls, accompanied by a hand clapping down on Buck's shoulder. Buck pauses his work, resting his hand on the handle of his shovel as he turns to look at the person who clapped his shoulder. "Yeah?" He asks, a little annoyed a being interrupted by someone he doesn't know. "They need you at HQ." The guy says, pointing over his shoulder in the direction Buck know that they've set up the command tent. "Me? You're sure they need me?" Buck asked, pointing his thumb at his chest after swiping futilely at the sweat on his forehead. "You're the only Kinard around here, so you must be the guy." The other firefighter says, and that is just not true. Buck frowns and opens his mouth, but he's cut off by the other man. "I'm supposed to take over for you." The man insists, reaching for the shovel in Buck's hand.

TK leads them into the room, batting Nancy's hands away once Campbell was out of sight. Of course she bats right back at him and they get distracted with slapping each others hands while standing in the doorway. A throat clearing has them freezing, and they both turn in sync to see Carlos looking at them with an amused smirk on his face. "Having fun?" "Nancy started it." TK said. Carlos says nothing, just raises an eyebrow in the way that makes TK feel so many things, none of which are things he should be feeling while he's about to be interrogated on the job. By his very competent husband. "Well, she did. She knows I'm ticklish there." TK pouts, making his way over towards the table. He's quick to claim the seat across from Carlos. His husband might not be big on PDA, especially while they were in uniform, but they not in front of the public so TK has no qualms about engaging ins a game of footsie. It's not like Campbell will know, and it's worth the teasing that he'll get from Nancy later. If it's the only time he sees his husband today he is going to make the most of it. And he misses the flirting that he and Carlos would do when they ran into each other on scenes when Carlos was still with APD.

You already know the whole plot of it, so I'm going to give you this snippet instead.

Taylor is seriously considering closing her tab and getting out of here— heading to a bar where she’ll actually be able to pick someone up —when she sees him. And, suddenly, the night has gotten a lot more interesting. 

She doesn’t question what he’s doing in a gay bar, he has gay friends, after all, Hen and Karen and that guy Maddie works with at dispatch—Jacob, she thinks— and Buck is the kind of guy who will go to whatever bar his friends suggest, no matter if it’s where he wants to go or if he’ll be comfortable there or not, including a gay bar, because that’s the kind of supportive friend he is. He’s always been a vocal ally.

So, no, it’s not weird to Taylor that she’s running into her ex in a gay bar.

We've got his family, but it's sparse and I don't think it'll get us far." Diana tells Peter. "That's alright, let's hear it." Peter says, gesturing for her to go on. "Known family: a son, Jonah Morgan, age 3, and a step-son, Tyler Kennedy Stand, goes by TK, aged 30." Jones says. "Is there a relationship between the son and the step-son?" Peter asks. "Yes. They're half siblings." "What's the relationship like with the step-son, Tyler?" "Looks like it was sparse after he moved to Austin, Texas with his father, and captain, Owen Stand, after an overdose in 2019, and became practically nonexistant once his and Jonah's mother, Gywn, passed away."

TK follows behind Nancy as they make their way towards the victim, and the frantically waving woman standing next to him.

"Oh, thank goodness y'all are here! I was starting to get worried." The woman says, introducing herself as Stella.

"Hey Stella, I'm Nancy and this is TK, can you tell us a bit about what happened?" Nancy asks, while TK kneels down next to the victim, swinging his bag off his shoulder and putting it on the ground next to him. He pulls out the equipment that he needs, listening with half an ear as Stella recounts the events to Nancy while TK starts taking the victims pulse.

"I was driving and then there he was at the side of the road! I think he was trying to flag down passing cars for help, but he collapsed. I stopped and tried to help him, but he wasn't responding to me."

TK finishes taking the man's pulse and turns him so that he's laying on his back and it's only after he has the man safely on his back that TK looks at his face. And freezes. Because there is no way he could be seeing what he's seeing.

Here is the first snippet that I'm sharing from a bucktommy mpreg fic I'm working on. Under a read more so that you don't have to see it if that's not your jam.

"You should text Bobby." Tommy tells Buck once they're settled into their hospital room.

They'd been sitting in silence for a few moments after the nurse had left, telling them that the doctor would be in shortly to speak with them. Explain the situation and what their options were, to go over any concerns and questions that they had. And there were a lot, at least on Buck's end, but not all of them were questions that could be answered by the doctor.

"I will. But- we should talk, too. Is this something that you want?" Buck says, worrying the edge of the scratchy hospital blanket.

"Of course, Evan. I told you that I want a future— a family— with you." Tommy says, reaching out and grabbing Buck's hand, holding it between his own, giving it a squeeze. "Is this sudden? Yes. Is it quicker than I expected? Yes. But I'm not leaving you, or… or our baby. Oh my god, we're having a baby." Tommy says, tearing up.

"Yeah, we are." Buck agrees, his own voice thick with tears.

Yes, this is a little belated. I meant to post it last night but I got caught up in other things and then fell asleep 😅 No one tagged me but @korevah and @bidisasterevankinard convinced me to post one anyways!

Here is another snippet from Nora Verse, my bucktommy mpreg fic. This is actually the scene that sparked the whole thing! I know everyone wants to see more from the 5+1 fic, and I am working on it and having a lot of fun with it, but I am also having so much fun working on this fic, and I'm just so excited to share bits of it with everyone that I couldn't help myself.

hey bobby it's buck i wont be in 4 my shift today Buck finally texts Bobby, once he realizes the time. If he wants Bobby to have any hope of getting his shift covered, he'd need to start now. That's fine, Buck. Feel better. Is everything okay? Bobby texts back only a few moments later. Buck pulls up his camera, snapping a pic of his hand giving a thumbs up, hospital bracelet proudly on display, the background of the hospital room blurry in the background. Tommy's leg from the knee down is just visible in the corner. He sends that in reply to Bobby, with the caption waiting 4 the doc. As if summoned the doctor comes into the room a few moments later. "Well hello Mister Buckley, Mister Kinard. I hear congratulations are in order and that this came as a quite a surprise to you." The doctor says, greeting the both of them but turning her focus to Buck. Buck puts his phone down, making sure that it's on silent, not noticing that he has a new text from Bobby.

Aaaah a wonderful choice! Proposal is actually a sequel to buck is a chaotic menace! The first of what could end up being many. (I have a lot of thoughts and head canons and a few more kids to get them)

buck is a chaotic menace is the current title of the document that I'm writing my bucktommy mpreg fic in. It's called that because, well, Buck is being chaotic and a menace. See, he didn't know he was pregnant until he was in labor, and he stopped replying to Bobby's texts after he told him that he was in the hospital. And then he doesn't tell anyone what's happened until after the baby is born. (Oh just wait till you see what he does to announce the birth to the firefam 👀)

I don't have any new snippets to share for Nora Verse today, I have a lot of editing that I need to do and a bunch of scenes that I need to finish but haven't been able to focus on it long enough. (My cat come every time I get more than 5 words into it). But you can see everything I've shared up until now here.

But I will say that this is genuinely the most fun I've had writing a fic in a LONG time and it's truly helped to get me out of the bad headspace that I was in in December. Truly just a joy filled experience for me. And we have my darling @korevah to thank because not only did she listen to me when I came to her with the idea, but she encouraged me to write it.

I DO have a snippet of the proposal fic to share. Probably the only one I'll have until I get the first fic finished.

"Evan, I couldn't find it, are you sure you-" Tommy says as he approaches the living room, words dying on his lip as he enters the room, frozen by the sight in front of him. Evan is on one knee, and he has one of their upturned helmets perched on his knee, with a very careful grip on it. Because inside helmet, nestled carefully with a blanket, is Nora. And tucked carefully next to her hand is a velvet box. Tommy's breath catches in his chest. "Evan…" He breathes, his hand coming up to his heart.

💼 a lone star/ white collar crossover- What if Agent Peter Burke was handling Enzo's case? A sort of outsider POV about TK.

🫃Nora Verse- My bucktommy mpreg fic where Buck doesn’t know he’s pregnant until he’s in labor, but he thinks it’s his appendix and makes Tommy take him to hospital, doesn’t tell any of the fire fam, but lets slip to Bobby that he’s in the hospital and then ghosts him for the rest of the day. It’s been called very soft and schmoopy by early readers.

👨‍🚒 5 Times Someone Thinks Buck and Tommy and one Time they think Tommy is Buck- Exactly what it says on the tin! Buck changes his name after they get married and people keep thinking he's Tommy when they're on calls.
