No worries about that because assignments must come first. :) OH the screenshots being in Kiyo’s POV made much more sense now! XD I was wondering about Yosuke’s card but if it’s from Yosuke to Kiyo, then the undying love part is nothing unusual. I actually find Yosuke’s attachment to Kiyo amusing. XD And I actually like fluff more than smutty stories. Also yeah, VIP events are expensive and I kinda don’t want to end up with just room items if I can’t complete it. So this event seemed like a good deal to me with it being mostly stories. However I’m still in the process of saving hearts for another VIP event so maybe after that, I’ll consider it for sure. Thank you so much for answering my questions. :D And, I just had to mention, I’m so glad for the surprise KoP sale. I really wanted to buy more stories quite recently and thought I had to wait until the May sale before I could read more. Hehe.
it’s okay!! i really love getting the chance to answer questions about something i like lol. the dynamic between yosuke and kiyo is interesting and now that you mention it, maybe i should make a compilation xD
i get what you mean about the room items, i get frustrated during the mixed events trying to pull for yosuke’s items only to end up with somebody else’s 😞 so i do prefer to spend money on an all story event like the kop anniversary or the plust ones.
i’m patiently waiting for yosuke’s bunny boy story. i’m still on the fence about purchasing shun and kaisei’s stories (no idea where kiyo went 😳) because 800 coins is very hefty but we’ll see. i hope you enjoy the vip event you’re saving up for <33

I need some help
OK, so I'm almost done with my current fan fic and I'm having some trouble deciding which of the ideas that are floating around in my head I should turn into a fic next. This is where you all come in: gonna make a poll so feel free to pick whatever you want to see first! Here are the various ideas:
Inazuma Eleven High School AU: set in the same timeline as my various EnGou fanfics, it'll be about the Sakka Baka attending a prestigious high school outside of Japan, meeting up with friends from the FFI and how the eventual second FFI. Will also contain an ASSTON of EnGou fluff, and more information about how they start dating.
Future Card Buddyfight/G Gundam crossover: Gao-wow, along with his friends and family suddenly get transported to a dimension where all the different worlds from Buddyfight exist, but the game itself has been replaced by a fighting tournament where humans team up with their buddies to determine who gets to rule over all the interconnected worlds. But not everything is as it seems as a darkness seems to be lurking just out of sight. Can Gao and friends figure out what the hell is going on before it's too late!?!?
Prequel and/or Sequel to my King of Prism fics: Will basically be the events that took place at the Royal Prism Academy before my first Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live/King of Prism fic and/or what happens after my most recent one-shot set in this AU I made
Digimon Tamers/Assassin's Creed crossover: Since Toei are being a bunch of bitches about making a sequel to Digimon Tamers, even 20 YEARS AFTER IT ORIGINALLY AIRED (and no, I'm not counting the audio drama/stage play that have come out recently since the events of them haven't been 100% translated), I'VE GOT THE IDEAS OF ONE THAT IS JUST FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES!!! No idea why I decided it'll involve a crossover with Assassin's Creed but IT WILL CAUSE WYNAUT!?!?!? The four main Tamers will be in Junior High and events will cause them to get transported back in time to one of the various settings in the franchise, CAN THEY GET BACK HOME TO TOKYO!?!?!?
SO...now the big question is:
I'll be running the poll on my twitter account as well, so feel free to vote on that one as well...in fact, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO!!! It'll give me a bigger size pool and I could use the additional feedback. I also don't care if you vote for the same idea twice or pick two different ones, do whatever suits you best.
Here's the link to my Ao3 account where you can read all of my previous fics and get an idea/caught up on the events of my Inazuma Eleven and King of Prism AUs:https://archiveofourown.org/users/bobgoesw00t/works

Mirror Image (Yosuke x MC FLUFF)
Hi all. Life has been tough lately but one of the things that helps me escape reality is just writing a marshmallow fluff! While I haven’t written much for Yosuke, this idea came to mind and I realized it was PERFECT for him (the irony that it’s fluff though...). Hope you all enjoy!
The sounds of little wails echoed in the baby monitor, instantly waking up the new parents. No matter how tired they were, they were ultimately a slave to their daughter’s cries.
“Is it her feeding time?” MC rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock at the nightstand. 3 am...that’s a little too early considering the feeding schedule they had in place.
As if reading her mind, Yosuke practically frog leaped out of bed with the energy who had a full night’s rest and more.
“Not to worry, baby!” He cooed towards the baby monitor. “Daddy is coming to save the day!”
“Yosuke, are you sure you-” Before she could finish her sentence, her husband had already bounded down to the nursery. With a sigh, she leaned back into the pillows and allowed her eyes to close. Well, if he insists. A small smile spread across her face as she allowed sleep to overtake her. I have a feeling he’ll be alright.
Entering the nursery, Yosuke made a beeline to their daughter’s crib. Kicking and screaming, Minako caught her breathe the moment she saw her father’s concerned face come into view.
“Oh, sweet angel,” Yosuke soothed, lifting her up from the crib and rubbing her back. “My little princess, did someone hurt you in your dreams? Daddy will erase them for you, that’s for sure.” He made his way over to the rocking chair and held her to his chest so he could see her little face.
As her father rocked her, Minako’s wails slowly quieted and her tiny hands gripped onto his thumb he was using to wipe her tears. When her calm eyes met his, Yosuke felt his heart pound with love. She’s never going to feel like no one is there for her. I’m never going to let anything hurt her.
“Ah...ah...” His daughter babbled and he laughed.
“You clearly don’t want to sleep right now, huh?” Yosuke brushed away the wisps of hair from her forehead. “That’s alright. We just won’t let mommy know.” When he caught sight of her eyes again, he was reminded of something Taki had told him when the Paradiso men first saw the baby.
“She has your eyes,” Taki had remarked, peering over the crib. The tycoon smirked. “Hopefully that’s it.”
A scowl crossed his face as he recalled that memory.
“Just what did he mean by ‘hopefully that’s it’? Lots of people would kill to have my face,” Yosuke grumbled. Regardless, he felt his heart soften when he caught sight of Minako’s still wide awake eyes.
“People said I had my mother’s eyes, Mina,” He whispered and she cooed. “Your grandmother would have adored you. And mommy, of course.” He gently stroked the bridge of her nose. “This is definitely your mother’s nose.” As if somewhat offended, Minako pressed her lips into a pout. Yosuke chuckled. “THAT is absolutely from your mother.”
She squirmed a bit more and Yosuke continued rocking to calm her.
“This impatience is mine. And this attention seeking too.” He affectionately nuzzled her nose with his own. “And making bad decisions like not sleeping when you should.”
Yosuke leaned back with a sigh. Hopefully these are the only bad decisions you make in your lifetime. I don’t even want to think of what will happen to the poor sap you bring home to meet me someday... Minako gurgled as if to get his attention and he smiled softly at her.
“You absolutely have more than my eyes, Mina,” He laughed. “No one can say I’m not your father...” She calmly nuzzled her head in his chest and he stroked her nose repeatedly like MC had shown him.
“She’s still awake, huh?” Standing in the doorway, MC was shaking a bottle of just-heated milk and had a gentle smile on her tired face.
“I did try,” Yosuke sighed, handing the bundle over to his wife. As if sensing she would be away from her father’s warmth, Minako started fussing once more.
“Oh, you’re already such a daddy’s girl,” MC laughed as she adjusted their baby to a feeding position. “Let’s see if you’ll sleep with some food, my love.” Settling herself on the now-vacant rocking chair, MC gently inserted the tip of the bottle in Minako’s mouth. Minako grimaced at the intrusion but comfortably started to suck down the milk. No matter how many times she does this, no matter how mundane it may seem, I can’t get over how she’s the mother to my child.
“You’re burning a hole in my body, Yosuke,” MC said. “And don’t take that the dirty way in front of a six month old.”
“You’re no fun.” Yosuke pouted. “How about I burn one in you when she’s asl-”
“Yosuke.” She glowered at him and he chuckled in defeat.
“I was just thinking about which parts of us she takes after,” He admitted.
“Hmmm, really?” MC cocked her head in amusement. “And what did conclusion did you come to?”
“That she’s my mirror image!” Yosuke proudly proclaimed. “Look at how good looking she is after all.”
“Genes take a fifty-fifty split...”MC muttered, rolling her eyes. The parents watched Minako finish a long gulp of her milk and MC patted her back to burp her. “She’s drifting off...”
“Oooh let me hold her for this part!” Yosuke eagerly held his arms out.
I swear I have two kids...
Regardless, MC deposited their daughter in Yosuke’s arms and observed the scene. Turning into a mature adult before her very eyes, Yosuke rocked her in his warm embrace, singing a soft lullaby to lull her into dreamland. Minako’s eyes never left her father’s as her eyelids slowly began to close down as sleep descended upon her. It’s almost as if she wants the last thing she sees to be Yosuke. MC felt her heart fill with warmth.
One thing is for certain: She really does have his eyes.

Sonder | Chenle
sonder- the realization that every person around you is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.
genre: slight angst, fluff
word count: 2,556
~
another day, another dollar. except you’re broke. and unemployed. and that’s the harsh truth. as a struggling honors student, you had many priorities, and with these priorities come many, many, many hardships. you knew you couldn’t get a job. of course you didn’t have enough experience for working in retail. of course you weren’t suitable for the job. of course. you were also aware that time wasn’t on your side since school was a thing that existed. homework was a bitch. you knew several people that could back you on that statement. taking extra classes in the evening outside of school also consumed most of your time.
even though you thought that doing all these things were being extra or another reason you have no sleep schedule, you still felt the need to do every single one of those tasks. not only because you need to do the best you can, but also because you don’t think you could ever imagine being a disappointment to your family. not again. you could never forget the look on their faces the day you brought a not-so-great test score home. it seemed as if your parents forgot your existence at home for a good week. the message came across quite clearly that they wanted you to be the best at school and although it was harsh, they believed it was for your own good. they had to make sure you were good enough.
though sometimes even you doubted your capabilities.
there were many times where you stayed up til the break of dawn working and studying to make sure everything is perfect. it had to be perfect. luckily you have two faithful brothers to sick by your side in time of need. even if it was 3 a.m. and you all had school in a few hours. they always made time for you.
memories of you childhood flooded your mind when you thought of your brothers. when you were just a toddler they would always pretend to be your superheroes and save you from the bullies on the blacktop. always save you a spot on the swing or see-saw. always have your back when your parents had to yell at you. always there when you were crying in your room afterwards. always.
you had to stop yourself from tearing up at the moment. you were in a public area. what kind of weird looks would people send you?
you continued on your journey to the subway from that dreadful interview. what would your parents say this time? you slowed your pace slightly not wanting to know the results any sooner. this gave you the time to take in the scenery around you. the city was bustling with life and people trying to get places. skyscrapers were towering over you and seemed to mingle with the clouds up above.
you loved the city for this. there was always so much going on at once, so many pieces to the puzzle. you hope that one day you could explore the whole city and all it’s little parts. but you didn’t have time for that. at least not at the moment.
you finally reach the subway which is surprisingly not as busy at this time. in the few instances where you had to ride the subway, you usually had to squeeze through a crowd of people just to find a safe spot to stand without falling over. this time, you quickly found a seat next near the back of the car.
a few more people boarded the subway before it took off. this was a good time for you to sit back, relax, and listen to some music. instinctively, you pull out your phone and your earbuds. of course they’re a tangled mess right now. when were they not? you sigh as you tug at the knots on the wires. this’ll take a while.
you finally undid the last knot and you were about to put in your earbuds and play some music, until you heard something. someone to be exact. someone was singing? that voice sounded like that of an angel. if this was what heaven sounded like, you would certainly start trying a little harder.
you turned your head to where the sound was coming from. it was a boy. his voice matched the tune to his ukulele perfectly. a match made in heaven, one would say.
the boy himself looked glorious. he had soft hands that plucked and strummed each string with such gentle sharpness. his focus was fixed on making sure he hit every beat perfectly, even he failed on some occasions. your eyes then traveled to the outfit he was wearing. his attire was surely, interesting, but he looked cute nonetheless. he was wearing simple blue jeans and an orange sweater adorned with black and white stripes that stretched across his abdomen. near the collar the word ‘pepperoni’ was spelled out in black letters. why pepperoni? the world may never know.
his hair was dyed blonde and you weren’t gonna lie, it looked super fluffy and for some weird reason you felt the need to touch it. but that’s besides the point. the ends of his blonde locks fell right above his eyelashes. oh his eyes. his eyes seemed as if they held a thousand stars. every time he would accidentally pluck the wrong string, or play the wrong chord, his face would morph into a sheepish smile and a light pink hue would flush across his cheeks. that smile. that smile would never fail to make your heart skip a beat. the way his eyes disappeared into slits left butterflies fluttering around your chest. you wanted to know more about this mystery angel.
when his final song was over, there were a few people applauding and some put their spare change in the baseball cap seated right in front of him. there were some small complements here and there and in exchange he threw back a few thanks. you felt the need to give him the rest of your cash that was left over from the lunch you bought earlier. your parents wouldn’t be too pleased about you spending their money on pointless things like this, but you liked to consider yourself a fine patron of the arts at that moment. besides, they weren’t here right now and how else were you going to start a conversation with him?
you took a quick glance at the window before approaching the boy. you won’t be home for a while. for once you’re actually quite pleased about your house being such a distance away from the city.
you walk up to him, pulling out your wallet, dropping it in the process. idiot. the one time you get the chance to do something you don’t want to regret, you mess it up. as you reach down to retrieve your wallet, another hand makes contact with yours. you hastily retract your hand back at the sudden contact and look up to see the culprit. no way. this is not happening.
“hey, i think you dropped this.”
your eyes met his and your face was immediately painted a deep crimson shade. all knowledge of social interaction was lost as you were greeted with the bright smile on his face.
“o-oh, thanks.”
“no problem!”
you thought his singing voice was nice, but when he spoke to you he seemed even cuter. his voice was bubbly and filled with animation, making you sound even more awkward than usual. talking to him was going to be harder than you initially thought.
after taking the wallet, you stood there fumbling with the zipper and shifting from one foot to the other as you tried to think of something to say. just give him your money dumbass, that’s the reason you came over here in the first place! you opened your mouth to say something, but were cut off by the boy in front of you.
he must’ve sensed your uncertainty since he started speaking for you.
“i really like your wallet. blue is my favorite color! i think it’s really nice.”
quick, think of something to say. anything!
“you can have it!”
you’re joking. that’s the best thing you can come up with? at least you’ll finally get the chance to give him your money.
as if you couldn’t feel any more embarrassed. he started laughing. laughing. you really screwed yourself over. you say one wrong thing and someone is already laughing at your existence. you really needed the subway to go faster now.
“thanks for the offer, but i think i’ve reached my goal for today. and i wouldn’t want to take such a nice wallet off someone’s hands. you’re really cute when you get all embarrassed like that. my name’s Chenle by the way. what’s yours?”
cute? he thought you were cute? has he looked in the mirror before? you would’ve exploded right then and there, but you needed to keep your composure. now is not the time to mess up an opportunity on making a potential friend. especially not Chenle.
“i’m y/n, nice to meet you.”
if there was one thing you learned about Chenle, it was that he sure did talk a lot, but you didn’t mind since you weren’t much of a speaker yourself. he did all the talking that you didn’t feel like doing. not to mention, the things he talks about were quite interesting. he was an open book. he told lots of stories about his friends and the adventures they go on. he calls them the dreamies since he’s dreamed of having friends of like them. as if he couldn’t get any cuter.
he told the story of how he and his friend Jisung were banned from a convenience store once because he was screaming so loudly. he and this Jisung seem to have quite a history together. after laughing for quite some time at the thought of the two running away from the clerk, you decided to ask him something for a change.
“do you always sing on the subway here? you must get change easily since your voice is so nice.”
his expression dropped slightly, but he kept the smile exactly where it was. you suddenly regret asking him that.
“thanks, i just started singing here today. i actually come from quite a wealthy family, but my parents weren’t too fond of me becoming a singer, so i moved in with my sister. gotta make cash somehow.”
you never would’ve thought that would come out of his mouth. you wondered why he would even share that information with someone he just met. though this was surprising to you, nothing shocked you more than how similar his life seemed to yours. you looked at all the people sitting on the subway around you and started to think of how their lives probably reflected some form of yours as well.
you usually weren’t very comfortable about sharing family matters, but it didn’t feel fair that Chenle did and you didn’t. sure he was an open book, but where’s the harm in getting out of your comfort zone once in a while?
“i usually don’t talk about these kinds of things unless i’m talking to my brothers, but i’ll spill anyways. i don’t have the closest relationship to my parents either. i tried to get a job today to maybe impress them for once, but i guess i wasn’t the right person for the job.”
you felt so vulnerable at that moment. like you had just shared classified information that no one was allowed to have access to. you had literally just met Chenle and now you were here talking about your life problems like it was nothing. you’ve done a lot of questionable things today, but this so far has been the most absurd. what would Chenle say?
Chenle has said many shocking things to you today, but what he said next caught you off guard.
“well, i think you’re pretty great. even if we did just meet today. that was really nice of you to tell me that. if i was the manager, i would higher you in an instant! you’re probably a super genius that knows how to do everything right. you’d make the perfect employee of the month for like ever.”
he sure did know how to make your heart flutter. talking to Chenle made you feel like you were the most important person in the world. that was a feeling only your two brothers were capable of inflicting upon you. that only pulled you to learn even more about him.
your subway conversations continued like that for a while. both of you taking turns in telling each other a little bit about yourself, the occasional story that Chenle felt the need to tell, and you laughing right after. you knew that he was not a person you wanted to leave behind. not anytime soon.
“when i grow up i want to be a singer. i feel most like myself when i’m singing. how about you? what are you drawn to?”
“i’m not quite sure. i guess i don’t feel like myself in anything i’m doing right now. except being here with you.”
although you stated that last part under your breath, Chenle still managed to hear you. just knowing that he was capable of having that effect on someone made him feel like he was standing on top of the world.
“well, i guess it’s my job to help you find your calling. after all, you make me feel the same way.”
the both of you were left flustered the rest of the ride to your stop.
coincidentally, you got off at the same stop and were able to tell a few more stories before you parted ways. the two of you departed the subway and exited the station together. you really, really did not want to leave Chenle yet. it was a bittersweet goodbye; you couldn’t find it in you to stop talking to him, but you knew you’d see him again soon.
“it was really nice meeting you Chenle, hope to see you again soon.”
“i could say the same thing for myself. we’ll definitely see each other more often. i still have to help you find your calling! here’s my number, we have to stay in touch so we can be best buds! i’ll be sure to tell the dreamies about you. maybe i’ll introduce you sometime, if that’s okay with you.”
“of course! i’ll be sure to text you when you become famous. i’ll be your biggest fan and tell you about how great you were on stage.”
you both shared one last chuckle before you bid your last goodbyes, went opposite paths and walked further and further away from the station. the rest of the walk home, you couldn’t help but think about the new memories you had made that day.
you arrived at your house to find your parents slightly irritated at your tardiness and your brothers ready to welcome you with a hug. you would usually be quite affected by your parents frustration, but this day was different, and you didn’t regret it one bit. after your encounter with Chenle, you made sure of one thing:
you were definitely going to ride the subway more often.

Doubt
Fandom: Kings of Paradise
Pairing: Yosuke x MC
Warning: None
Genre: Fluff
Word Count:1,140
Written by: @otomefoxystar
Yosuke and _ _ _ were at a restaurant when a server came to take their order.
“_ _ _ ?”
She looked up from her menu and saw an old classmate from college.
“ Hi! I haven’t seen you since college graduation.”
The man smiled, and Yosuke watched the exchange quietly, but on the inside, he was ragging with jealousy. He eyed the man in front of him and saw how utterly normal he looked and how _ _ _ smiled at him.
As they exchanged numbers Yosuke balled his hands into fists under the table, digging his nails into his palm.
During the meal, Yosuke was uncharacteristically quiet, and as _ _ _ took a bite of her salad she looked at him moving the food around on his plate.
“ Are you okay?” she asked with concern laced in her voice.
He looked up from his plate, with a downcast look on his face. He squeezed her hand slightly.
“ I’m fine” he forced himself to smile.
She saw right through it though and cocked her head to the side. She looked at him sympathetically.
“Are you feeling sick?” He shook his head and licked his lips.
“ No”
_ _ _ grimaced, and she put her fork down with a force she didn’t mean to. She cleared her throat and straightened her back.
“ Yosuke... Don’t shut me out. What is going on with you tonight? You were fine earlier I don’t understand.”
He widened his eyes, not expecting a reaction like that from her. He put his fork down and squeezed his eyes shut. He opened them and took a deep breath.
“ It’s just me being a stupid jealous asshole”
Her heart warmed at him being honest with her. She didn’t know what he had to be jealous of. He was her everything nothing could take that away from her.
“ Why are you jealous?” she asked trying to hold back any laughter that was trying to escape.
“ That server...You know him?”
“Yeah we went to college together, we had the same major so we had a lot of classes together. After college, we lost touch.”
Yosuke looked at her and nodded his head in understanding and pressed his lips together, trying to decide how to tell her how he was feeling.
“ I watched you two interacting you didn’t seem uncomfortable or tense.” She knitted her eyebrows together
“ Yosuke...”
“ Would a man like that make you happier than I can?”
She exhaled through her nose, knowing where this was leading. How could he possibly think anybody could make her happier than he does? Why would he feel so down on himself?
“ You make me happy, Yosuke. You make me happier than I’ve ever been.”
He still looked sullen, and she was getting frustrated with him.
“ But a person like him would fit easily in your life, more easily than I do.”
She was getting mad, she wanted him to open up but for him to think that she would be better with someone else was not something she wanted to hear. She took the napkin off her lap and placed it on the table.
“ I lost my appetite, I’m leaving.” She scooted out of the booth and stormed out of the restaurant, leaving Yosuke alone with his thoughts.
When she got home she went into her bedroom and locked the door, and settled in for the night. Yosuke got home and looked for her, but when he tried the doorknob on her bedroom door he found it was locked. He felt so defeated, but he knew her well enough to know that when she wanted space he should give it to her.
He went up to Pandora where Taki, Kiyohito, and Shun were already sitting.
“Yosuke, I thought you and _ _ _ were going out. She wouldn’t stop talking about it.” Shun grinned “ But it seems early for you to be back.”
Yosuke sat down and poured himself a glass of whiskey. He glared at Shun and took a swig of his drink.
“ I don’t understand women! She says she wants me to open up and when I do she stomps off and locks me out of her bedroom.”
Kiyohito laughed “ What did you do?” Yosuke rolled his eyes.
“ I told her I was jealous of this server that she went to college with.” Taki eyed Yosuke and saw the troubled look on his face.
“ I think you shouldn’t let her off the hook, I think you need to go back to your room knock on her door until she answers. I can tell you’re distraught by this, you need to go talk to her.”
Taki knew Yosuke well, well enough to know when he was upset. That was the push he needed, he chugged the rest of his drink and got up and rushed to his room. When he got home he went straight to her door and started knocking.
“Open up _ _ _ we need to talk. I know you’re mad at me, but I can’t let this go.” He kept knocking, he was knocking so much that his knuckles were hurting.
“ Fine! I’m coming. Stop knocking” _ _ _ got up and unlocked the door.
He smiled when she finally opened the door.
“ You want to talk? So let’s talk.” She opened the door and let him in her room. He sat on her bed and looked over at her.
“ I’m sorry I upset you.” She sat next to him and took his hand.
“I’m sorry too, I just got so mad that you would think I would love anybody else.” He squeezed her hand
“ The truth is I saw that server and you talking and I realized how much I don’t fit into your life. That the server would be a better fit how easy it would be for someone like that to steal you away because he’s more...more normal.”
She looked at him and felt a pang in her chest for acting the way she acted. She put her hand on his cheek.
“ Yosuke... I love you. You’ve made me happier than I’ve ever been, just as I said before.” She rubbed his cheek with her thumb.
“ Don’t ever think that ANY man can make me happier than you can. I don’t care if he is more normal or whatever. I don’t want anyone else other than you.”
He smiled at her confession of love and put his hand over hers. He looked into her eyes and saw truth and honesty behind them. He leaned in and kissed her on the mouth softly.
“ Thank you _ _ _ thank you for loving me.” She leaned in and kissed him again.
“ I couldn’t imagine loving anyone else, I’m yours Yosuke that will never change.”
He caressed her face with the back of his hand and kissed her again laying her down.
“ You better prepare yourself for a long night, I need to show you just how much you mean to me.”

Pandora - Understand
"Any fool can know. The point is to understand"
-Albert Einstein
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting for Yosuke to speak, Haruka was almost falling asleep. The combination of late night and alcohol was slowly draining her energy, and she was getting tired of waiting for him. On the other hand, Yosuke seemed to be nervous; a feat that would never be associated with him. In the time she had known him for, he had always been the most confident person. He never hesitated, at least not when it came to annoying her. Though now, he was downing his fifth drink in a row and still had not uttered a single word.
As he poured himself yet another drink, Haruka stopped him. He knew he would not be able to escape forever, though he had been hoping that she would have knocked out before he had to talk. His plan fell through, obviously.
Yosuke let out a sigh, knowing he was unable to escape any longer. Knocking back one last shot, he was finally prepared to speak. "When I was in high school, I met someone. They were a freshman, and I was a junior. They were having a hard time making friends, so I became their friend. She's from a prestigious family, she'd be a great connection to have. And at that time, I was already developing the idea for my matchmaking business and she was the perfect test candidate. Everything was going well, and the data I collected was really useful.
"Life improved for her too. She comes from a difficult family but during the time we spent together, she became happier. Honestly, my life changed too. It really felt like we were a couple...actually, I think at some point, it became real for me too. But you know how the dramas flow, tragedy strikes when you're at your happiest. She found out my intentions and got mad, rightfully so. She transferred overseas and I've never seen her again."
"Until recently," Haruka stated. "So that's the story between you and the pianist?"
"What pianist? I didn't say a name."
"But you said 'she'," she pointed out. "The only woman you act weird around is that pianist so it has to be her."
Even when intoxicated, Haruka was sharp. Seeing her again stirred up a lot of feelings inside Yosuke. He thought he would be okay, treating her like anyone else he would in his life. If he was being honest, he would not be upset at all if Haruka was to cut all ties with him. He would be bored, sure, but only for a little while before he found another toy. To have all these emotions in him was a new experience for Yosuke. All his life, he tried so hard compartmentalising everything that sometimes, those around him wondered if he truly had emotions.
Although their stories were completely different, Haruka understood how Yosuke felt.
She only wanted the best life for her sisters, and she did everything she could to make sure she did. When their mother passed away, Haruka was only sixteen. She knew her mother's wish was for the three sisters to stay together so to avoid being separated, Haruka took up the maternal role. She started a part time job at a maid café; flexible hours around her classes with a high pay, it was more than she could ask for. But Haruko was displeased. She became vile in the eyes of her sister's, a teenage girl who was willing to sell her body to please weird men for money.
When the opportunity for a better job arose, Haruka grabbed it and landed a job as Eisuke's secretary. She thought it would improve her relationship with Haruko but it only worsened. She was called a gold digger who abandoned her family. No matter what Haruka did, her sister would find fault in it. Still, she felt as if she owed it to Haruko. The life they lived had not been easy, and Haruka understood that there was always something better that her sisters longer for out there.
"Do you still love her?" Haruka asked. "You said it became real for you too. Did you ever tell her?"
"No, I did not," Yosuke said, taking yet another drink. "And I wouldn't call what I feel for her love. Just...that I care for her more than others."
"Do you think about her all the time?" Haruka asked. "Like...you had a sandwich and you wish she was there to share with you? Or you heard a piano playing and you thought it might be her?" Yosuke nodded. "Okay, does it hurt when you see her hurting? Do you smile when she's happy? Do you look her in the eyes and know immediately that she's lying about how she's feeling at the moment?" Again, Yosuke nodded. "That's love, you fool."
Moving closer to Yosuke, Haruka placed her head on his shoulder and let out a sigh. Her answers to her own questions would be all yes, if asked about Eisuke. She had been trying to deny her feelings but now that she was confronting Yosuke, it was as if she was confronting herself too. She wanted to see Eisuke again. She wanted to be so close that she could smell his cologne that had become comforting over the years. She wanted to be held in his arms and told that he loved her like she did him. However, reality was often disappointing as she was nowhere near Eisuke. She was simply drinking with Yosuke, depressed about a different issue from when she began.
Taking in a deep breath, Haruka frowned a little. She turned her head and buried her nose in Yosuke's suit, taking in another deep breath. Since when did he start using the same cologne as Eisuke? She looked up to meet his eyes and for a good minute, they were just staring at each other when they both started to move in instinctively.
"Eisuke..."
Their lips were inches away from touching when Haruka blurted out her boss' name. It hit Yosuke and woke him up instantly. He pulled away and covered Haruka's lips with his hand. They both had way too much to drink, and if they were to continue, Haruka would be doing something she would seriously regret. The Yosuke before meeting Haruka would not have cared whether she would regret, as long as they were both consenting. After all, he never said no to a night of good fun. Knowing how deep her feelings for Eisuke were now, however, Yosuke could never bring himself to do anything to her. Not when he had feelings he never knew about for someone else too.
"It was a mistake bringing you into my life," Yosuke sighed, pushing her hair out of her face. "I was supposed to be doing the meddling, not the other way round."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What the hell is this garbage?!"
Yumi flinched as Eisuke threw the file she handed him across the room. All eyes in the lounge were on them, though this was not the first occurrence. Just this morning alone, Eisuke had lost his temper with her more times than she could count. He disliked her coffee, complained that her shoes were too loud, and her clothes were too colourful. The document he threw across the room apparently was riddled with mistakes; mistakes that she was ordered to correct to by Eisuke himself.
"That was what you told me to type up."
"A dog could do your job better than you. At least the dog can be trained."
"I understand why Haruka-san quit."
"What did you just say?"
She stepped over the line with her last comment, Yumi knew. She had enough, however, of taking his temper. She would never understand how Haruka managed to stand this for eight long years. No matter how much you loved someone, if they were to yell at you over the smallest things every day, that love would be shaved down to nothing eventually. Perhaps that was exactly why Haruka left, because her love for him no longer existed. If she wanted to lose her job and hurt Eisuke, Yumi would have said that thought out loud.
Right now, however, she was fearing for her own life.
The look in Eisuke's eyes was one that she had never seen before. She had seen him angry, frustrated, irritated, though his only reaction during those times would be to scowl at her and move on. He was furious this time. Despite fearing for her career and life, Yumi somehow found the courage to open her mouth again.
"I said-"
"Okay! Let's stop right there," Baba said, stepping into the conversation. "Whatever you were going to say, please don't," he whispered, pulling Yumi away from Eisuke and kept her behind his back. "I think Yumi-chan needs a day off. Right, Boss?" Without giving an answer, Eisuke headed up the stairs to his suite. Baba let out a soft sigh before looking to Yumi. "Are you out of your mind?"
"He was being unreasonable."
"Go home," Baba smiled, giving her a gentle pat on her shoulder. "I'll fix this for you."
Looking up the stairs, Baba could not help but let out another heavier sigh, closing his eyes. There were days when he wished Soryu was not around; today was not one of those days. With heavy steps, Baba headed up the stairs to Eisuke's suite. As he stood outside his office, Baba was really praying for Soryu's return although he knew it was impossible, not unless the mobster learnt how to teleport from Hong Kong. He raised his hand to knock on the door but stopped himself the last second, hesitating. This was not what he wanted to be doing on a weekend.
"Either you come in or leave. Don't loiter around outside my office."
"I wasn't loitering," Baba smiled, opening the door. "I was just...surveying."
"If you are here on behalf of Yumi, save your breath. She is clearly not competent enough for the job, lacking in both IQ and EQ."
"To be honest, no one will ever have enough EQ to work for you," Baba pointed out.
Eisuke shot him a glare from across the desk, though Baba still took a seat. Although he only met Eisuke a few years ago, he had heard rumours about how many secretaries he went through in his short term as an executive before the existence of Tres Spades. Everyone in the company was surprised when Haruka survived past her first month. Baba was surprised too, when he met them for the first time. Sometimes, Eisuke could be a little too much to handle for the gang but Haruka never complained.
"What are you trying to say?" Eisuke asked, with a deep frown.
"I'm just saying what you're thinking out loud. Besides Haruka, no one will ever be good enough to work for you." Eisuke's frown deepened, if possible, at Baba's statement. Even if that was the truth, he would never admit it out loud. "I know you're frustrated that Haruka left. We all miss her too. And if I'm being honest, I'm not used to not having her around either. I miss the coffee she makes."
"Get to the point."
"The point is, don't take your frustration out on Yumi. Nobody can be Haruka, and you can't force someone to be her either. If you miss her, go and see her. I don't know much about Haruka but she's a very simple person. She wants a simple life, someone she can rely on. Someone who will love her unconditionally forever."
Eisuke's expression relaxed a little, though he kept quiet while thinking about what Baba said. Yumi was not a bad secretary. She was young and inexperienced, but she was willing to learn. When Haruka was still around, Yumi always took the initiative to draft documents, ask her questions, and all other operations of the hotel. She knew Haruka's way worked with him and did her best to imitate. Yet, Eisuke kept finding flaws in her and magnified them.
With Haruka, Eisuke had been equally unfair to her. He never thought of the reasons why she wanted time away from work, nor did he try to understand the reason behind her resignation. He was angry at her, for abandoning her job and him after years of cooperation. How could she be so selfish when he still needed her? Baba made him understand, however, that Haruka needed him by her side too.
~.~
If there was anything Eisuke would praise Baba on, that would be his efficiency. It was not a word most people would associate with Baba but there was no denying how fast he could produce information Eisuke needed, and the quality. With just a morning's notice, Baba was able to produce a full report on Haruka's family by the afternoon. Holding the file in his hand, Eisuke was contemplating whether or not he should read it. He never asked Haruka about her family, nor did she tell him much. With this file in hand, it felt like he was violating her privacy.
In the end, he gave in.
Her mother was Matsuoka Hanae, a woman born into poverty. She never went to high school but instead, started working at a young age. Every single job she had worked was listed but there was a period of four years completely blanked out with no information: no job, no address, no medical records. Then Haruka was born, but no father was named. Instead, they moved to an apartment just outside of Tokyo and her mother resumed working several jobs to support her. Eight years later, her sister Haruko was born, and two years after that, Haruna.
There was nothing of interest from her file; while they lived a difficult life, it was simple. Her mother worked hard to support the family but passed away at a young age. Haruka took over and became the pillar of her family. There were two things that stood out, however: her anonymous father, and the fact that her sisters live at a different address to her.
After reading, Eisuke felt closer to Haruka. He was starting to understand her better, and missing her even more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eisuke was very much a man of action. Whenever he had a plan in mind, he was quick to put it into action. Much like his hotel. As soon as the thought of seeing Haruka entered his mind, he was already on his way. By the time he realised what he was doing, he was parked on the road opposite her apartment. It was already late afternoon, and peering into her window from his car was a bit of hard work though he could not see any movement inside indicating her presence. Was she napping? Was she out? If so, how long before she came home?
The answer did not matter to Eisuke; he was not leaving until he saw her.
He got out of his car, locking the doors and leaned on the hood. He wanted to be able to see Haruka as she was coming home, and for her to see him as soon as she came into sight. What would her reaction be when she saw him? Surprised? Disappointed? Irritated? Eisuke was trying hard not to let negative thoughts affect him but just today he realised that he did not know Haruka very well; he could be wrong about her feelings this whole time.
It did not take long before the person he had been longing to see finally appeared. She rounded the corner on the right, dressed in just a jumper with sweatpants, holding a bag of groceries in one hand. Eisuke straightened himself as soon as he saw her, holding his breath as he waited to notice her. A couple of metres away, she finally did.
"Mr. Ichinomiya..."
Her voice was soft but it was still the same warm, kind, and sweet voice he was so used to. All his frustrations, all his troubles, they melted away at just her uttering his name. This was a dangerous power she had over him.
"Haruka-"
"Don't," she interrupted. "Don't come near me. And whatever you were going to say, don't say it."
Since that night with Yosuke, Haruka could not stop thinking about Eisuke. There was no denying what she felt for him was love, but her struggles were whether or not she should go through with it like everyone around her was telling her to. Every woman dreamt of a man like Eisuke: handsome, wealthy, and in power. What she wanted was much simpler, a man who loved her. She had no confidence in herself to know that Eisuke would keep loving her as he did today. She did not want to find out five, ten years down the road that he no longer needed her in his life.
"I...Being away from you made me realise how much I love you," Haruka said. "I wake up thinking about you, go to sleep thinking you. Everything is about you. And it hurts. It hurts so much knowing that I love you but we can never be. I'd rather hurt now than hurt for ten years later on, wondering if you still love me. I don't ask you for much, Mr. Ichinomiya, but I'll ask this of you. Please, just let me go. Turn around, go home, and forget me. Let me go."
Despite her initial plea for him to keep away, Eisuke moved closer as she spoke. He could not help himself, especially when tears were starting to roll down her cheeks. He would never understand why she was so afraid of a relationship, especially one with him. She did not understand, either, that never had Eisuke ever wanted anything so badly. Or the fact that he would never love anyone as much as he did her.
He reached out with one hand to wipe her tears, expecting her to move away but to his surprise, she leaned her cheek into his hand. Eisuke held her face in both hands, leaning in closer to her. He closed his eyes and pressed his lips on hers. Just a moment ago, she was telling Eisuke to let her go yet, Haruka did not resist and kissed back just as passionately as he did. No words were needed as they both knew what the other was thinking. It was a cliché to say but it felt like they were the only ones in the world. The only ones who mattered to each other.
Pulling away from the kiss, they were both breathing heavily as they stared into each other's eyes. Eisuke caressed her cheek gently and wrapped his arms around her tightly, putting one hand on her head. He was not a person to make promises lightly, nor did he take them lightly, but he was going to make a promise to Haruka. He promised to love her now and forever.
"I'm sorry, I cannot do as you asked," he whispered. "Because I can never let you go."

6. “I just need a hug.” -Taki Kozaki (Request)

Also: You're the best moon twin ever, just saying.🌚🌚
This is SOOOO overdue (By like 2+ months ;-; ) buy Happy late Birthday again! I only met you months ago but it honestly feels like I’ve been friends with you for years! I’m so SO so happy I got to meet and talk with you! ILYSM HAVE A GREAT BRITHDAY!! @the-voltage-diaries
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s that time of year again... Zela pondered to herself underneath the warm covers in the dark room.
A supposedly “special” day that comes once a year. Her Birthday.
She looked over at the clock on the night stand and saw that it read 12:00 A.M., it was officially her birthday. She glanced over at the empty side of the bed next to her, which she once shared with a man who she thought she could call her husband. After their second year of their marriage, they practically became strangers to each other. Cooking meals, tidying the house, doing laundry for a man she didn’t even know anymore...
How pathetic...
She pushed aside her bitter thoughts and closed her eyes to try and sleep. But no matter how much she tossed and turned she couldn’t seem to fall asleep. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and opened her contacts list. She kept scrolling until she found him. Tomohiro Fuyuki
I must be out of my mind...
After debating whether or not to call for a good 10 minutes, she finally pressed the call button.
*Ring ring*
Is this really a good idea?
*Ring ring*
What if he doesn’t pick up...?
*Ring ring*
She was just about to press the ‘end call’ button when she heard a cold, distinctive voice.
“Hello?”
It was him. Zela had froze in place, it had seemed as if time had stopped for her. Just as she gathered up the courage to speak, she heard a woman’s voice.
“Tomohiro! I was looking for you!”
...What?
“Oh Kozue, sorry I’ll be right there.”
*Click*
And just like that he hung up on her.
He was with another woman? How long has this been going on? Who was she?
A million questions ran through her head, and she could feel a sharp pang in her chest.
No wonder he barely comes home. He doesn't love me anymore.
Zela felt her vision blur as hot tears began streaming down her face.
Why me? What did I do to deserve this...?
"Zela!"
Huh? Who was that?
Through her tears, Zela heard a voice call out to her. It was filled with warmth and concern, and she could feel it reaching out for her.
"Zela! Wake up!"
I know that voice! It's...!
Her eyes flew open, and she shot up in bed covered in sweat, panting heavily.
"Ta...ki..?"
She turned to her side to see her boyfriend staring at her with concern in his eyes.
"You okay? Sounded like you were having a nightmare."
She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could even say anything Taki handed a glass of water to her.
"Here drink some water, it'll make you feel better."
She took the water bottle from him and eagerly downed the entire glass.
"Feeling better now?"
He rubbed her back soothingly and she let out a sigh leaning into him.
"Yeah...I...I just need a hug."
Without saying another word, Taki gathered Zela into his arms and cradled her close to his chest. She buried her face into his broad chest and clung onto him.
"I...I had a dream about him...Tomohiro."
Taki's remained silent but tightened his arms around her waiting for her to go on.
"I felt so lonely, so unwanted... It just felt so real..."
Before she could go on, she felt Taki place a finger over her lips effectively hushing her.
"Never tell yourself that your not wanted. I want you and I always will. That man doesn't know what he missed. You deserve so much more then you think Zela."
Zela's caught off guard by his words, but she could feel her heart swell with happiness. She hugs him back tightly and continues to pour out all her insecurities.
"...Sometimes I get scared that this is all a dream. That'll I wake up and you won't be there."
He strokes her head gently, running his fingers through her soft hair.
"Me too."
"Huh?"
"I get scared that this is all a dream. That'll I'll wake up in this bed alone without you. But if that ever does happen I'll be sure to find you, no matter how long it takes."
Zela's stunned by his words and starts to tremble with emotion.
"Really? It's a promise then."
Taku lets out a low chuckle before murmuring into her ear.
"Of course I promise."
Just then the clock on the nightstand reads 12:00 a.m. signaling the start of a new day. Taki noticed the time on his watch and pulls away from Zela slightly looking deep into her eyes.
"Happy birthday Zela."
"Thank you Taki. I love you."
"I love you too."
They lean towards each other, their lips meeting each others in a passionate kiss.
You weren't used to living in the city. The loud noises, constant hustling and bustling, and the bright lights on every building. Really you expected fast taxi rides and nice walks around the city. Lisa is part of the group Blackpink. You don't know how you got so lucky to date Lisa but you did. Damn was it awesome. She is awesome. Not only is she incredibly talented and smart but she is definitely a visual. Somehow through all the awkward talk she agreed to go out with you. After a while of dating you two moved to this apartment.
-----------Present Day-------------------
You two are going out for the night. She looks like a goddess and you are willing to worship her. of course she feels the same to you. This leads to constant compliment wars between you two.
Despite needing to get ready you just keep staring at her. She smiles as she says,”Y/N you know you see me everyday?” “I love seeing you everyday my queen.” You say this in the cheesiest voice. Her giggle is adorable. You are officially a soft puddle of mush. Only she could can make you this way. As you both get dressed with he in a dress and you throw on a form fitting suit. You two are definitely a hot couple. You kiss he gently and ask,”You ready my love?” She responds by kissing you back. You two leave for night ready to take on the world or in this case a company party together.
I loved this! Just the fluff I need🤧💜💜🙏
Not sure if you're still doing the headcanon thingy (It's been a long time, I know) but how about that Taki likes to practice soccer in his spare time and MC catches him?
A/N: HI ANON I'M SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I LOVED THE IDEA AND TURNED IT INTO A FIC WIDBSKEJSJE ENJOY! 🙈🌸💕💕💓💞💝
Catch Me, I'm Falling For You (Taki Kozaki)
This is set back in high school before MC and Taki started dating ❤️
Written by me and @theotomekingaki 🤣🤘
---
MC had her eyes and ears alert for the entire day. She recently got a new haircut over the weekend and now her hair was in soft shoulder-length waves. Most of her batchmates noticed her new appearance but her attention was solely focused on a certain someone's opinion.
She spent the entire school day taking occasional glances at Taki in between classes. But every time she tried to catch a reaction from him, he was always chatting with his friends.
It's already dismissal time and she STILL hasn't heard from her friends or from Asahi, Taki's closest friend who was acting strange the whole day, about Taki's opinion.
She would ask Asahi, "Did he notice yet?"
"Notice what?"
"Come on, Asahi, you know exactly what I'm talking about..!"
"What do you think?" he said with a laugh, barely giving off any hints about Taki's reaction.
Her disappointment caused her to be a bit sulky, especially when she snapped at Tsubaki, one of her classmates who simply said, "Hey cutie!"
She remembered the way Tsubaki took a few steps back before he sauntered off completely when she glared at him.
From a distance, she saw her friends Hina and Makoto wave her over.
"MC! Over here!" Hina called out.
"What's up?" MC asked once she approached them.
"Shouldn't we be the one asking you that?" Makoto said, gesturing to his friend's haircut. "Did Taki notice yet?"
"I don't think so..." MC mumbled with a sigh.
"I'm sure he did, how can anyone miss a change like that?" Hina pointed out. "Your hair was way longer back then, and no offense, messier."
"Thanks for the encouragement..." MC said dryly.
Suddenly, they heard a group of guys cheering and yelling at the football field.
Makoto rolled his eyes and said, "Looks like they're at it again..."
"The soccer team?" MC asked hopefully, knowing that Taki was a part of the soccer team.
"Yep."
"Come on, let's go cheer them on!" Hina squealed as she dragged both of her friends to the field.
The three friends hid behind the bleachers as they watched the soccer team gathered around Taki. Some of their female classmates were also there, especially Ayane, who had a huge obsession crush on Taki. She was always glaring at MC in class for some reason.
To make things even more annoying, she always calls Taki 'Babe' even if they weren't together. And Taki just brushes it off with a smile and a laugh.
"What's that slut doing here?" Hina hissed.
"When there's Taki, there's Ayane," Makoto acknowledged with discomfort.
"Wait guys, they're saying something..!" MC shushed her friends as she listened in on the soccer team's conversation.
"If you lose, you're going to do it," Asahi, Taki's best friend, laughed as he tossed the soccer ball to Taki. "I got the timer here with me, so you have no escape from this."
The latter caught the ball and said, "Alright."
Then, Taki started juggling the ball with his feet confidently. The small crowd around him was impressed. Even MC still couldn't believe his skills.
No matter how many times she watches Taki, she still can't calm her racing heart that's beaming with pride at how perfect her crush is.
"Let's have a closer look!" Hina declared. But before MC could escape, her friend had already dragged her and Makoto all the way to the field in front of everyone.
Taki's eyes locked with hers, surprising them both. She could hear her heart pounding erratically in her chest, making it hard for her to breathe.
Their moment was cut short when Taki lost control of the ball, accidentally kicking it higher in the air...
...until it hit MC in the head.
"Oh my gosh, MC, are you alright?!"
"Hey, what happened bro?!"
"It's not even a minute yet!"
MC stood up and rubbed the spot where Taki unintentionally hit her. He was frozen in his place. He just hit the girl he liked. Well shit.
Asahi started speaking amusedly. "Dude, what on earth made you lose focus—"
He stopped speaking when he saw MC and her friends standing awkwardly in the field. Soon, Asahi bursted into laughs along with the other soccer team members, except Taki, who looked really nervous, and Ayane, who was glaring ominously at MC.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you..!" Taki babbled.
"I-It's fine, don't worry about it," she assured him.
"Hey, MC!" Asahi called out from the group. "Since Taki hit you, shouldn't he make it up to you?"
A chorus of excited squeals and cheers rang through the group, leaving a puzzled MC.
"What's going on..?" MC asked him.
"You don't happen to have anyone accompanying you home right now, would you?"
She turned to Hina and Mako, who suddenly shouted, "ABSOLUTELY NO ONE!"
"W-What?! But I thought—"
"Sorry MC! Mako and I are gonna drop by the strawberry latte shop Ayumi promised to treat us to!" Hina said before she tugged on Mako's hand to leave.
Asahi grinned and said to MC, "Don't worry, MC, someone's kind enough to walk you home."
He gave Taki a little push closer to MC, causing him to awkwardly bump into her.
"Sorry..!" he apologized again.
"It's alright..."
Ayane's eyes were blazing with pure jealousy. "What's this about?!" she screeched at Asahi.
"We just had a bet with our dude Taki," Asahi shrugged before he continued, "that if he loses, he'll walk home with the 'prettiest girl in the school.'"
"WHAT?!"
MC glanced at Taki, whose face was red up to his ears. Her own crush just thought she was the prettiest girl in the school?!
"W-Who on earth came up with that?!" MC squeaked.
"Well, Taki was the one—"
"Hey, shut up, Asahi," Taki mumbled, interrupting his friend.
"Okayyyy. So, what are you guys waiting for? Sun's going down, don't tell me I didn't do you both a favor!" Asahi said, pushing Taki and MC all the way to the exit of the soccer field. He tossed Taki's things over to him before he saw both of his friends off with a smirk.
---
"Sorry about dragging you into all of this...and for kicking the ball at you earlier," Taki said sheepishly as he and MC walked out of the school. He didn't know how to explain the entire situation to her, not when he was the one who accidentally stared the whole thing by blurting out MC's name when Asahi asked him who was the prettiest girl in school.
"Thought you'd say that! Hey, have you asked her out yet?"
"We're not that close yet, she might reject me..!"
"I know just the thing to push your relationship forward!"
So they made another bet with the soccer team. He was secretly happy he wasn't able to juggle the ball for a minute even if it meant staining his reputation to walk home with MC.
Except for the part where he hit her.
"Oh that? Don't worry, it doesn't hurt anymore," she answered softly, bringing him out of his thoughts.
"Are you sure?" he asked, checking the back of her head.
"...yup," she answered, averting her eyes from him.
Taki noticed how nervous she was. Was she mad at him? He couldn't keep his eyes off her no matter how hard he tried. She always looked beautiful to him, but the sunset's faint glow brought out a radiance he doesn't get to see from her often.
He knew that their town was small and that they'd be by MC's house in a few minutes. So each second passed by with him growing even more nervous. Was he just going to waste his chance by keeping silent all throughout the walk?
After debating on it lots of times, he 'accidentally' brushed his fingers against MC's briefly, before retracting them so she wouldn't notice. However, the second his fingers touched hers, it was like a jolt of electricity between them. The contact surprised MC to the point where she stopped walking and stared wide-eyed at Taki. Oops.
Thinking fast, Taki casually offered, "Hey, MC, let me carry those for you, those look heavy."
"It's fine, really—"
But before she could protest, Taki had already taken her bags out of her hands. They were a little heavier than he expected.
So they continued walking through the town, until they stopped by at the local park.
"Hey Taki, do you want to take a break?" MC offered as they passed by the entrance.
"Okay, thanks," he replied, before they sat together on a nearby bench.
The small space between them made MC's stomach flip. To break the silence between them, she said, "I'll be right back! Just gonna buy something real quick!"
"Sure."
Taki watched as she dashed off to one of the park's stalls. She came back carrying two servings of steaming takoyaki.
"This is for you," she offered one to him. "Careful, it's hot."
"Thanks MC, I'll pay you back later—"
"Oh no! It's okay!" she stammered before accidentally blurting out, "Spending time with you like this is enough..!"
Taki stared at her, wide-eyed. MC realized her mistake and shoved some takoyaki into her mouth. She made another mistake by not letting it cool off first, so the spicy sauce made her cheeks burn.
Taki did his best not to laugh at how adorable MC was acting. He took his water bottle from his bag and handed it to her.
"Here," he slipped the cold bottle in between her fingers.
"T-Thanks..." she mumbled. But before she could take a sip, she realized that if she drank from Taki's water bottle, she'd have an indirect kiss with him.
The thought of that made her heart pound so hard in her chest it was about to explode. Thinking on impulse, she brought the bottle to the swollen part of her head.
"Does it still hurt?" he asked, inching closed to her until he was only a few centimeters away from her.
"It just needs some ice, but it will go away soon," she laughed half-heartedly, trying to ignore how close Taki was sitting next to her.
Out of curiosity, he suddenly asked, "Do you go here often?"
"Yup! The food here is just so delicious, I couldn't resist stopping by to have a snack before heading home!" she spoke enthusiastically, before taking another bite of her takoyaki, a bit more carefully this time. "What about you, Kozaki?"
"You can just call me 'Taki,'" he said with an amused smile. "After all, we've already met back in seventh grade, right?"
"Y-You...you remember that..?" she asked.
"Of course. Is there a reason why I shouldn't remember the girl who comforted me on the first day of school?"
That's right...when MC was still a freshman at their high school, she first met Taki, who was in a different section, at the rooftop. She hadn't made much friends back then, so she was a bit scared to have lunch inside her classroom. That's when she saw Taki gazing at the sky above them. He had a gloomy expression on his face. When she approached him, they talked for a while, until their lunch period was over.
She had learned that his mother died a few days ago, so she told him, "I'm sure she's still looking after you. No parent would want to leave their child."
That's when they started looking forward to meeting each other again in school, even if it's just a glance.
"Why didn't you talk to me anymore after that?" Taki asked her.
"I..."
"Were you mad at me?"
"No! It's not that, it's just that I..." when she regained her voice, MC confessed, "I was too shy to approach you."
"Huh? Why?"
"Because you had your other friends with you, and I didn't want to interrupt..."
After she explained everything, except for the part where she developed a crush on Taki, he smiled at her and said, "If it's alright with you, I could hang out with you after class."
"Wait, really?"
"Yeah."
"Okay!" she said giddily as her cheeks turned pink from excitement.
---
After a long conversation at the park, the sun could barely be seen by the time Taki walked MC home.
"Well, this is my place," she quipped before taking her bags from Taki. "Thanks for accompanying me."
"I should be the one thanking you," he told her. "I had a lot of fun today."
"Me too."
"See you tomorrow, Taki!" she said with a wave before she unlocked the gate to her house.
"MC."
"Yeah?"
"You look even prettier today," Taki mumbled sheepishly.
But MC heard every word and she swore she was going to have another heart attack.
"T-Thanks," she replied before she ran towards her home and inside her bedroom.
She dove straight into her covers and squealed into her pillow.
It was one of the best moments of her life.
“No, I’m not letting you go. It’s too early to get out of bed.” - Taki Kozaki
For @voltage-vixen LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN, YES?!
Also, this is just fluff. LITERALLY JUST FLUFF.
“I need to get up now, Taki,” Kristen sighs, her hands reaching up to cover my own, resting on her waist.
“Mmm,” I murmur, tightening my arms around her, too busy taking in her warmth to focus on what she’s saying.
“You’ll have to let me get up,” she says, and turns her head around when I don’t reply. “Are you even listening?”
“No.”
“Good lord.” She rolls her eyes and tries to push my arm away in an attempt to move, “I need to make breakfast, Taks.”
“I’d rather have you.”
“Taki-”
“5 more minutes.”
“You said that 15 minutes ago.”
Did I, now? Too bad, it felt like 2 minutes ago to me.
“Damn it,” she mutters, and I sense a hint of annoyance in her tone when I don’t respond. “Are you even-”
“Hush,” I whisper, interrupting her, and pull her close, “You can’t get up. You’re my prisoner for today.”
My lips form a smirk when I hear her groan in defeat, her body finally relaxing against mine. She takes a deep breath, her head coming back down to rest on the pillow.
Mmm... you’re warm.
“I should really make break-”
“Quiet, you.” I murmur, displeasure lining my tone at her reluctance, and lift one of my arms from around her waist to bring my hand near her mouth, placing a finger against her lips. “It’s just 7 AM.”
“Fine,” she groans, reaching out to my other arm and intertwining our fingers.
Finally.
I squeeze her hand back, and my thumb involuntarily starts moving along her delicate skin, stroking with a steady pace, moving back and forth.
She settles into me, and I feel her lips smile against my finger. Her other hand moves up to my head, smooth fingertips coming in contact with my hair. Her fingers start caressing my scalp, following the rhythm of my thumb.
“What?” Kristen asks, turning her head a little to have me in her periphery when she hears me let out a pleased hum, “Does that feel good?”
“Yeah,” I mumble, bending my head lower to give her a little more access. My breath falls on her shoulders and I hear her let out a small gasp. “Keep doing that,” I say when I feel her fingers stop moving.
“You know what?” She smiles, her fingers re-starting their rounds through my hair.
“Mm?”
“You’re so cute when you’re half asleep like this.”
“Haha,” I chuckle, opening my eyes for the first time today. I blink a couple of times clear out some of the sleep in them, and look at her, “You know what?”
“What?”
“It’s nice that your voice was the first thing I heard today.”
I grin, satisfied when I see the red blossoming on her cheeks. She bites her lip, embarrassed, and averts her eyes.
Ah, how the tables have turned.
My finger, which was placed on her lips earlier, moves down to rest on the other side of her chin, gently pushing her face towards mine. I look into her eyes, smiling when her big, beautiful ones return the gesture.
I bend my head lower, placing a light kiss on her lips. She sighs against me, clearly enjoying herself, and her fingers stop stroking my hair, instead reaching down settle around my neck, pulling me closer.
After a moment, I pull back a little, but not too much; just enough to look at her, so close that if I moved my head even a little, our mouths would be connected again.
“Your lips are so soft, I could kiss them all day,” I murmur, looking at her.
“I wouldn’t mind that,” she whispers, “if I didn’t have a breakfast to prepare for.”
Way to go and ruin the mood.
I roll my eyes, and instead of letting her go, I do the opposite; I bring her body closer to mine. At this point, we’re close enough to probably even melt into each other.
“No, I’m not letting you go. It’s too early to get out of bed.”
She giggles, shaking her head in defeat, and moves back, resting her back against my chest.
I hum, pleased, and slide my other arm back around her waist.
I close my eyes again, feeling her body relax alongside mine, and rest my head next to hers, my nose nuzzling into her hair.
Silent moments pass between us as her breathing slows down, forming a steady tempo. Her shoulders move up and down in a rhythm, signalling that she is asleep, or so I assume.
I smile, looking at how utterly peaceful she looks, and place a kiss on her shoulder.
I love you, Kristen.
I pull back one of my arms, using my fingers to slowly trace out the very same phrase on her back, making sure to not wake her up. My fingertips form that phrase over and over, as if having a mind of their own.
After a few minutes, I pull my other arm back too, careful to not disrupt her sleep. I bend low to kiss her shoulder one more time before turning around on the bed, reaching out to grab my phone.
I turn it on and open one of the news apps, about to get up and start my day. I try to make as little sound as possible, thinking that Kristen is still fast asleep...
... until I feel two arms wrap around me from behind, our roles now reversed.
“I love you too,” she whispers, placing her lips on my shoulder, smiling against the kiss she leaves there.
Okkk .... So I read Taki's pov and damn 💔💔💔💔 it was so heartbreaking and very well written .... Some feelings still linger even after years and I literally bawled my eyes out so badly 😭😭😭 uff I can't handle that much of angst
@sleepless-winter-nights, you and me both!!! This was by far the most painful story I’ve ever read from an otome game, and I actually even cried harder for this story than I did for other literature I’ve read in the past such as Where the Red Fern Grows or My Sister’s Keeper (and both of those left me a wreck). This is embarrassing to admit, but my sister called me later on that evening and sound I sounded sad and asked what had happened.
Not only was the story angsty, but I also was very unsatisfied with the ending. I know that’s because Taki is my ultimate bias, but damn does it still sting even days later! At least we have the KoP Christmas story upcoming to hopefully help fill our hearts with some sweet holiday fluff to make up for it.
SAME! This was also literally me! I believe what made this recent story even more heartbreaking was the fact that Taki’s feelings never once wavered despite knowing the MC was with Shun now and that he would have done anything for her. I have no doubt in my mind that had the MC asked Taki to run away so they could both start over as a couple, he would have been making arrangements that very second.....now why couldn’t have something like that been the ending?😭
Hello! I’m VoltageVix in the L365 app, so I’m not sure if you are referring to the same person, but I do 100% agree. I wanted Taki and the MC to have their happily ever after, even though Taki wasn’t the LI in the story. 😢 Talk about the plot twist of the century had something like that had actually happened! It’s times like these that we should be grateful their is fanfiction out there to make the painful canon go bye bye for a little bit. 😏
Thanks for the asks! 💖
