It's fun seeing the Bruce's Timm Digger design get some love. That one to me is the best most streamlined version. Super easy to see and draw. Digger's newer looks are too complicated.

Agreed, and I’ve noticed DC uses that design and style for a lot of non-continuity stuff, particularly that which is aimed at younger readers – you’ll also see it in those DC kids’ books published by Capstone, for instance.  There is a timeless simplicity to it.  

Ty Templeton is writing this series and I kind of wish he was drawing it as well (I love his art), but Luciano Vecchio is quite good.  And, for what it’s worth, Vecchio’s drawn Digger in one of the Capstone books before, which used the same design.

The thing about Bege and Chiffon is that Chiffon has such a hard time being hated by his mother and being part of a disfuntional family that watching her being loved to that degree by her husband is emotionaly healing.

This is quite a long one cos I didn't have a present day theme to mirror the first section. Also, this is the last chapter I'm doing this week cos I've got other stuff I really need to work on. So we'll pick this back up perhaps Sunday or Monday. Got nearly 2 hours of good reading here, according to PIXIV! Thank you so much for the support on this series, I'm having a lot of fun writing it.
