Melvin Update, Art Shop, and More

Hello Friends!! I added an update to my fundraiser, but I also wanted to take a moment to update y’all here. Melvin is doing alright and had his cardiologist appointment. Unfortunately, the cardiologist found that he has a rare heart disease, double chamber right ventricle (DCRV), which is causing his heart murmur.

We are hopeful— Melvin is now on meds that will help slow his heart rhythm, but all we can really is monitor and love him.

These meds are not cheap however, and although the medication, along with follow ups and other pet expenses, are certainly in our budget— I am also a full time student in my last year of a post-bacc teaching cert, and I want to be able to help pay for his costs as much as possible.

I am pushing my fundraiser less now— I believe there are far more pressing issues in the world that require more attention and fundraising than my cat’s condition.

The gofundme is still up, but I want to now push my ko-fi art shop.

On my site, I sell linocut sew-on patches, pins and buttons, as well as original paintings.

I am also taking art commissions for $5 or more.

And for the final member of the Monster Hunter Pocket roster, we have the Thunder Wolf Wyvern Zinogre! Of course this guy had to be in a hypothetical Monster Hunter fighting game, it literally has a shoryuken.

But yeah, that's the end of my remake of Monster Hunter Pocket. Thank you guys for being patient with this, it took a lot longer due to a bunch of real life stuff plus another project that I'm looking forward to sharing with you in May.

why? to get a fund going for my surgery because i can't afford to be off work for recovery! i'll be off of work for at least one week. then i'll have to have an additional treatment one/two months after and i can't be around anyone for at least two weeks after it! for reference, my paychecks are $1300/month and my bills are $1000+/month, not including my own food & medicine, and pet care/food for my babies! i essentially live paycheck-to-paycheck.
