Comparing Mechs fans spotify wrapped with others shows us scientifically that we're something else

A friend of mine is in the top 0.05% of Sleeping At Last (almost 8mio monthly listeners) with 7.4k minutes

I'm just in the top 0.5% of the Mechanisms (36k monthly listeners) with 9.3k minutes

This means that you needed less minutes to be a way higher listener of an artist with 205 times as many listeners.

So there aren't many of us, but I can almost guarantee that not a single one of us is even remotely normal.

I wonder how much of an overlap there is in the mechanisms and cats fandoms? So far I’ve met a couple other people and you :)

i do know a few other people who are into both! i feel like in general there's an amount of overlap between mechs fans and musical theater fans? so i think just statistically there has to be a subset of people who are specifically also into cats. could also be something about the amount of speculation and interpretation you have to do yourself about characters and relationships based on very limited information because that's something i think is very compelling about both the mechs and cats

was just viscerally reminded that it's canon that marius' arm is a fucking parasite that will kill him if he tries to remove his arm. kofi, what the fuck.

in which marius' mechanism is like an angry parasite and burrows its roots further into his body when removal is threatened.
