What offerings would the forest god want?
Depends. What have you got? (Joking.)
He likes cool, clear water. Tea — hot, usually — with sugar or honey (cream optional). Coffee with a little sugar is good, too. Oats or porridge, however you call it. Berries or other fruits, especially if they are not common — he likes to try new things.
Oh, and he loves sweets.

Do you have any books on your whole "nazis don't deserve to die" and prison abolishon ideas? I'm interested in learning more, but when it comes to finding literature I'm a bit of a ditz at finding books on topics I'm not as familiar with.
So in terms of my "I think all human life has value and no one deserves death" belief - Not really unfortunately. At least not directly. It's more of an extrapolation from a lot of my own experiences feeling discontent in leftist spaces and my own experiences with death in both my personal life and responses to death in my activism.
That feeling is also particularly influenced by Laura Jane Grace's openness regarding her ostricization from anarchist spaces though. Her autobiography Tranny is just generally a good book that I recommend to people a lot. It's available on Overdrive if your local library system has access to that service!
In terms of prison abolition I can do you a lot better though. I don't have time to gather links in ways I'd like, but eventually when I've got the time I'll properly toss these in my reading list.
Are Prisons Obsolete? by Angela Davis and The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarnation in the Age of Colorblindness by Michelle Alexander are the two biggest books that introduced me to the reality of policing and what abolition really looks like. They should be available in most library systems and if I'm remembering correctly Are Prisons Obsolete? is available on The Internet Archive - which is linked at the top of my reading list.
I also recommend Exit West by Moshin Hamid. It's actually a fiction novel and is moreso about emigration and refugee crises, but it deeply impacted my views on personhood, citizenship, and what it means to be a human being simply trying to live. It's also just a beautifully written book and one of the best pieces of fiction I've read in the last few years. It just kind of feels like it fits in this recommendation list, even if it's not directly on topic.
And of course, I've mentioned it a few times now but the Behind the Police miniseries podcast did wonders for my understanding of the police as an institution and really helped the foundations for my belief in prison abolition.

In 2021, while struggling with my disability, I came across a post on Facebook. The post was about a person speaking about how they made scarves for the unhoused.
This post sparked something in me, and as of 2023, I have been doing just that for 2 years. With some help from my mom I taught myself how to crochet scarves. Over the past 2 years, crocheting scarves has become my favorite hobby, and become a great way to cope with my disability.
Though I know this project won't end homelessness, it will provide one more layer of warmth for those struggling during the cold months. I'm glad to know that I am able to do something to help my fellow humans, and at the same time it's something that helps me as well.
This year alone, I have created 12 scarves.
If you'd like to support me and what I do, consider commissioning a scarf from me. I currently offer single and two tone scarves for $54 and $66 respectively.
Every commission furthers my charitable work. Each one allows me to make at least two scarves for those in need in addition to the commissioned piece. For every piece you purchase, two scarves will be donated to this year's chosen charities. Any earnings will go towards additional charitable work. They will allow me to purchase more yarn for scarves and to donate items such as crayons, colored pencils, coloring books and other items that patients can enjoy to Brylin hospital.
This year (2023) I am donating to Friends of the Night People, a charitable organization here in Buffalo NY, and the VA in Cleveland OH.
Please email me at: [email protected]
Edit 10/23/2023:
I have created a log to track whether I am open for commission!

Sorry to intrude
Firstly, I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Secondly, I am reminded of our conversation the other day, about plants that will grow inside....
Do you happen to know of any tea plants(as in, plants I can grow to make tea) that will grow in doors? 😊
Oh
You just activated my trap card /ref
Special interest, tea trivia!
The actual tea plant is called Camellia Sinensis
But herbs and flowers that are easy to dry and steep for tea include
Mint(peppermint but spearmint or any mint could work), lavender, roses, hibiscus, lemon balm, chamomile, ginger, lemongrass, catnip, bee balm and more
Some require the leaves rather than the buds to be harvested but lavender you can harvest buds before they bloom and use them no problem
Drying herbs and storing to use for tea later does take some effort and it does require a bit of research on the plant, (what it needs, how it's best harvested etc) as well as research herb drying storing and tea steeping when you're making your own blends and such.
I'm more than happy to help out I even have a whole notebook and two books from my witchcraft collection that helped me learn
I *love* this topic very much !

Do you think in the future, if you haven't already, you could do a book on DID/similar like you have NPD and are doing Cotards?
DID/similar is one of those disorders I'm curious about but afraid of interacting with because I don't want to spread bad information on. I also have a friend and a you with DID and would like to understand you guys better.
i think it would be a good idea if we did a book on osddid (as we are a did system ourselves so it would be a little easier) but it would take so much longer because of how many differant kinds of dissociative disorders and systems there are (p-did, osdd-a/b and so on) which means there would be a lot of research and resource gathering we currently dont have time for.
so if we did make one it wouldnt be for a long time, especially with the several other things we plan on making books for.

This is my parting message
I gave myself time to think and talked to some people about this and I have decided to say goodbye to y'all.
Time here has been great and I loved pretty much every second of it. However, I want to focus on my real life now. Tumblr became too big of a part of my life for my comfort. Basically, I think it will be better if I quit.
I don't regret this blog. It made me very comfortable in my identity, it educated me, it made me feel loved and brave and powerful.
But it's over.
I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me. For every like, comment, reblog, ask, tag, message and boop.

I'd love to come up with an icon for this blog, but I'm like... terrible at that.
My main blog(kodiescove) is a commission of my dog. I don't want to do another commission of Zuko for this blog because I don't want people to get confused between the two blogs....
.... maybe I could have a commission of my dog devlin..?
I don't know. See being nonbinary and keeping my assigned sex at birth off Tumblr makes me not want to use any type of portrait of myself even if I were to commission the artist to make me look fem/masc/andro leaning because people have misinterpreted the presentation of one of my portraits before to misgender me.
And I don't really have any other ideas besides my dogs. I don't have a grand idea of what a spiritual retreat would look like. Maybe a Mosque(in this case since I'm Islam focused) but I don't want to just steal a picture of a Mosque off the internet.
Ugh.
Yes I'm way over thinking this but I hate having a default icon. It makes me feel like a fake account.

You wouldn't think it because it's me but TJ Klunes Tales from Verania series is just like.... my favorite example of raunchy queer s/ e / x/ u / a / l comedy.
It is not high brow material whatsoever but the audiobooks are a great performance and have actually gotten a laugh out of me, if only because of how absurd the books are.

I am sooooo close to being done with this scarf for the unhoused!
The most lovely part about this scarf is I did the majority of the work at a loved ones house. He made me feel so safe and loved I was able to crochet freely all day long and it is thanks to him that I made so much progress in such a short time.

Yarn haul from Joanns.
Meant to only get 4 skeins to make book marks with but ended up getting double that, oops.
The bookmarks will be sold to help me afford to make more scarves for the homeless, and donate to the hospital that does my ECT treatment.
The sage green skeins will be turned into scarves for the homeless. I always get acrylic because of allergies.

Could you tell me about your compression gloves? Like how they help you, what difference you notice?
I just ordered some compression sleeves for my knees because they are..... actively falling apart on me and I'm being told by the internet that compression wear will help my knees but I don't know anyone else who uses it to be able to learn how to now if it's actually benefiting me.
I have an appointment with my primary in August. It's a new one so here's hoping they listen to me and give me referrals because I'm starting to think I have arthritis....
How I feel while wearing my gloves compared to not wearing them, I feel more support for my joints, the compression is like a hug that dulls the ache
Instead of having to rub my hands and stuff the gloves do all that for me. I don't have to worry about my joints popping and such
Without them I'm hyper aware of the swelling in my joints causing them to shift and pop and ache and such to the point it can be unbearably hindering
Compression tools help your joints through a light squeeze, keeping them from shifting out of place and thus dulling the pain, at least that's my understanding. They make it bearable and manageable and for some they even bring enough relief the ache and pain is just about gone.
I hope they help you 🫂

I am glad to see you are still here!!!!!
I am here with more plant questions:
How do I figure out how much sunlight my apartment gets, and what type of plant would be suited for it?
One of the things I really want for my apartment, is a pet plant. I'm really partial to a spider plant because those things are so hearty. But I'd also like a flower...
Also! I'm OFFICIALLY!!! Approved for assisted living! So I'll be moving into my apartment with in 9 to 12 months :3
Congrats kodie!!
To find out about how much sunlight you will get, figure out what windows face the most sunlight. When the sun sets you can tell what windows catch the light.
Place plants near the windows the sun is most likely to shine in if you can
My bedroom window is aimed directly as sunset so I mostly get more sunlight in the evening and my plants, which prefer partial sunlight, are happy with that.
Most plants do alright in apartments if they get the right amount of water and light, the spider plant specifically does not want direct sunlight else the leaves will burn. Most flowering plants need full sunlight (anywhere from 6-10 hours of sunlight a day) and depending on the species they can tolerate any variation of sunlight from direct to partial. Flowers tend to need much more care than other plants, they are known as delicate for a reason but it really depends on the flower you get.
The Kellanchoe was one we had for a long time, they're resilient and usually bloom small red flowers every spring and summer and last a few years if taken care of well. Like a succulent they like partial shade and occasional watering!
I hope this helps and I hope everything at your new place goes well!
