I should probably stop experimenting with techniques needed for future knitting projects and continue working on my current one. That said I now know three methods of making buttonholes, which is very useful.

Finally getting around to posting a progress pic! Real life is being far too Real TM right now, so I haven't gotten around to a lot of knitting the last little while, but put in one or two new rows on this one again, finally!

It's of course the Handsome Chris Pullover from over on Ravelry. Looking good for my first cable knit, if I do say so myself, but that sure takes foreeeever... And if I ever knit this again, I'm knitting it in the round. Ugh, I hate knitting back and forth, actually.

I feel like if my blog was just for one thing I could actually have mutuals who are also into that thing and then nobody would have to also see my cringe smoshposting or my boring knitposting or my very weird alexhorneposting but unfortunately I'm a woman of many constantly changing interests. do ppl have recommendations about what I should do about this !?!? should I learn to use tags more effectively ?? should I start a sideblog for the smosh/dropout/niche la comedian posting I do !?!?!?

Knitposting

Posting some finished objects, partially because I'm just proud I finished things.

First up is the cowl I made for my mother- she specifically wanted a cowl that would match her coat, could be wrapped around her neck or lay open, and not be overly bulky. So I chose the Nightfall Cowl

it's hard to tell but it really is three different colors - the second color was maybe too close to the first to really show up well unless you know to look for it - but I still think it makes a very nice effect. You can see it a little bit better when it's twisted up:

Anyway, it's was a lot of seed stitch, but a lovely project to work on during the holidays, just sitting around and listening to audiobooks and knitting.
