I should probably stop experimenting with techniques needed for future knitting projects and continue working on my current one. That said I now know three methods of making buttonholes, which is very useful.

Knitposting

Posting some finished objects, partially because I'm just proud I finished things.

First up is the cowl I made for my mother- she specifically wanted a cowl that would match her coat, could be wrapped around her neck or lay open, and not be overly bulky. So I chose the Nightfall Cowl

it's hard to tell but it really is three different colors - the second color was maybe too close to the first to really show up well unless you know to look for it - but I still think it makes a very nice effect. You can see it a little bit better when it's twisted up:

Anyway, it's was a lot of seed stitch, but a lovely project to work on during the holidays, just sitting around and listening to audiobooks and knitting.
