I finally have found a way to adapt the pattern to make sweaters for all the sizes of little lads I make! <3 Tiny sweaters for even the tiniest of froggies! (Click on the pics for a better quality <3)
You can check them out here, but just mostly I needed to show people these teeny tiny little sweaters because they're just so adorable!!

He’s been kinda in this state for a while, I knit like 6-8 detached limbs ages ago and was trying to figure out how to wire them.
Pipe cleaners will work if you don’t go into the fingers and don’t want it to be freestanding, which, if you know my perfectionistic ass, isn’t good enough for me, so I’m gonna have to take it out of the leg.
I also could not successfully get wire into the digits if I had knit the limb beforehand. So basically all the limbs I had knit are useless and I had to knit the I-cords around the wire and pre-formed wire fingers (as pictured in the arm). Successful but exhausting so I’m still on a break after doing that trial and error and successfully doing one (1).
Once I finished the limbs and sew the mouth seam this bb will be done 🐸

[id: a knitted frog on a desk, he is a dark orange frog with a light brown belly, with wide black eyes. He is posed to be laying on his belly, propped up by his forearms with his legs kicking behind him. End id]
His name is pumpkin and I love him so much!!!!!!! Made with 3.5 mm knitting needles 🥺

A knitted frog. I haven't put wire in his legs or arms yet. Or made him a sweater.

Here's a video on how I hacked the pattern on the 2nd frog so I didn't have to do i-cords or weave in a bunch of ends on a tiny hand.

If you're making the dot pebbles knits frog with the wire armature to make it posable, and dont mind your frog having yaoi hands and feet, I highly recommend this modification:
When moving to the rows that start the feet, increase stitches so that you have 3 for each toe/finger THEN add another stich (for 4 total for each) when you do each toe. I did the method where you add a stitch to your needle but I also tried with a normal increase and it worked well too. Then knit it in the round instead of as an icord on a single point needle (two stitches on each needle). I think this helps distribute the stitches around the wire more evenly with less effort. Cast of the stitched on the row that reaches the top of the toe wire and pull the yarn through the toe in a way to help hold the stitches at the toe tip in place.
Then for the palm/bottom of foot (my last picture) I picked up and knitted two stitches and did one to two rows (depending on what has satisfactory coverage for this part of the knit) and then weave the yarn through those stitches and the ankle/wrist stitches to finish it off.
On my first frog this part was a little too exposed and messy even with trying to manipulate the stitches around.
I personally think my end results are better even if it's not as cutesy and delicate as the original, but I'm being a bit of a perfectionist with this since the whole reason for the wire is to make it posable for pictures and display. I want to make sure I'm not limited by needing to hide any messy bits.

So I just RE-blocked the frog 🐸 body I already blocked (plus 2 fresh ones)—but using some detergent and warm water this time
And y’all I feel MISLED by all this “blocking evens out the tension of your stitches” information I kept seeing because, bitch where?
It looks exactly the goddamn same just flat instead of curling at the edges.
-_- I’m so annoyed.
Steaming it after I’ve stuffed the plushie… would that help? Or would it just felt it and lose the visual distinction of each stitch?
