27/31 amigurumay | Clever detail

A clever little detail I learned to use in my amigurumi is embroidery.  While making birds I found out a lot of them have subtle gradation of colors in their feathers, something that's very hard to do while crocheting.  You either make one stitch grey, or the next one white, there is no in between.  Well, that was until I taught myself how to embroider.  Now I can make what looks like the white tipped feathers of an african grey, or the complex feathers of a green-cheek conure, just by embroidering!

I finally have found a way to adapt the pattern to make sweaters for all the sizes of little lads I make! <3 Tiny sweaters for even the tiniest of froggies! (Click on the pics for a better quality <3)

AmiguruMay 2024 Day 16: An old Amigurumi⁠

I chose Robotnik for today's theme because it was one of the first patterns I made 🥰⁠ ⁠ He was the one who made me fall in love with creating patterns, so he's a very important amigurumi for me ❤️⁠ ⁠ Pattern available in my Etsy Shop.

LOOK AT THIS GUY!! once again I'm so in love with this clown opossum pattern. He's my boy, my Bobo the Clown. I decided not to do the pompom on top of his hat, and I love the colors 🥰 I'm still learning quite a bit and I think if I did this pattern again I would try to yarn under for a tighter stitch, as I've recently learned that yarn under and over are different 🥝 Pattern by nichet.crochet on insta

Free Pattern Friday: Mochi Bunny

My all time favorite crochet pattern I' ve made has to be my pigeon pattern.  It was a true labor of love.  The desire to make a pigeon just struck me one day, and by the end of that day the pigeon was made!  By the end of the week I had the pattern edited and published.  It was meant to be given out as a free gift to anyone that subscribed to my newsletter.  I never imagined so many people would be so enamoured by

this little bird.

U can barely see it ;-; The next thing imma post are the mini tutles. Lots and lots of turtles, but the fruit(y) ones aren't done yet. Also it's gonna take a few days to make them. AmiguruMay2024 Day 06: Fun stitches

Most of the time we work with Single Crochet Stitch while we are making amigurumis, but in many pieces we need to use other stitches too.⁠ Today I brought Fox Crafty lovey blanket, it is made with a beautiful stitch and super fast! I love using it to make blankets 🥰⁠ Its construction is very simple, in the pattern I explain exactly how to do it with photos and video ❤️⁠

Tried my hand at another clown oppossum! This time with YU, and with an inverse color palette. First off - love me some yarn under. Second off, this lil guy is so fucked up LOL. Like look at that back leg. Look at that sewing work. Something I still need to perfect hahaha. BUT I was able to make this guy a lot faster, and I think I'm understanding crochet better in general which is fucking awesome.
