i hope you all know that Knight Flower is giving us women co-conspirators, a noona romance, a woman as the Grand Merchant, another woman who has a side hustle transcribing books, a lot of women engaging in commerce just in general, nation's mom Kim Mi Kyung (in this case an oppressive mother-in-law), an upstanding male lead that secretly supports the hijinks of our female lead, lots of girls and women acting in this series (like - just so many. Sageuks don't normally have a huge female cast and this is giving quantity and variety), a focus on the downtrodden and oppressed, and Honey Lee wrestling with having the hots for a dude she just punched.

ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights sequel ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist announced for Switch

Publisher Binary Haze Interactive and developers Live Wire and Adglobe have announced ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights sequel ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist for Switch. It will launch in 2024. It will support English, Japanese French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options.

“We teased a sequel to ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights nearly two years ago, and we have received countless requests from our online community for a second adventure,” said Binary Haze Interactive CEO Hiroyuki Kobayashi in a press release. “It is an honor and a pleasure to announce our next title with the help of Nintendo during such a prestigious event. We have much much to share in the very near future, stay tuned!”

Decades after the Rain of Death, a new journey begins in the Land of Fumes, where mystical powers lie beneath the earth. The kingdom’s desire for conquest led to the creation of the Homunculi, machine-like artificial life forms prepared to execute the king’s will. A recent resource-harvesting mission gone awry caused toxic vapors to emerge from underground, driving both man and machine to feral madness. As the Homonculi devolve into dangerous creatures, guide Lilac—an “Attuner” with the power to purify those infected by the fumes—on a quest to save the kingdom. With the help of friendly machines and spirits who fight in Lilac’s stead, fend off mechanized legions of lunging carcasses, cannonball-firing corpses and chainsaw-wielding goblins terrorizing the land. Turn foes into friends by exorcizing corruption from enemy bosses. Wield their powers to add 30 different abilities to Lilac‘s combat repertoire in an enhanced battle system where she can equip up to four special abilities at once. that post definitely encapsulates Simon. he who forgoes his autonomy in favour of your welfare, abasing himself to a mindless animal that barks, yips, or attacks in your name. i love it. the primitive possessiveness of it all, Simon’s ability to switch between a behemoth with bared teeth around others and a pliable pet around you…… i cant

Made it into old yharnam!

Cathedral ward is pretty blocked off for now, I've got just enough leg room to run about and grind the enemies but that's about it. Met Alfred!! He's got a way smoother voice than I remember, but knowing what I do of him gives me the creeps. Helpful enough though - I can summon him at the entrance of the blood starved beasts church.

The funny thing about playing this game with great general knowledge of it is that I recognise many rooms and important locations, but I don't know where on earth those places are, so I'm still stumbling blindly onto them. There's a lot of stuff I know, surface level, like the history of Queen yharnam and the vile bloods and the healing church, but I'm uncovering a lot of smaller stuff that adds to the richness of the world.

The gatling sniper on the tower uses a boom weapon, which means he's a (remnant?) member of the crazy explosion sect of hunters. And I can't put it into words, but I feel like that makes sense with the heavy and thankless duty he has taken on, almost sacrificing himself to protect and guard the quarantined community of old yharnam where no one else would stand for them. Something about the bull headed determination despite what society might say, a deeply emotional morality and a lifetime among monsters and men.

Like I would not make it as a hunter because I read the sign and was like 'welp none of my business let's turn back' but unfortunately that's the only way to progress!

Old yharnam is pleasingly vertical, very easy to get around despite being very disorienting. I don't know how they managed to make an 'old town' area in the gothic cobblestone wet dream of an old town but they did it and they did it WELL.

I did get stuck on getting the messenger bandages in that one corner of the beast church like seven/eight times (why so harrrrrd) but I only died twice to the frenzied mob of parishioners, so, win! I felt so bad each time, though, like I'm not here to kill anyone I just want to loot the place (and interrogate the sniper) I'll be on my way! Their singing was almost nice, shame they kept spotting me (how?!) and starting up those awful screeches. And then they chased me to the ends of the earth!!! Glowing red eyes!! Very scary!!!!

I've reached the blood starved beast so far, but I know that she's a tough one (and FAST, killed me quick) so I'm going to grind the new areas and crank up the levels. Learn my way around them like I know central like the back of my hand. I'm really good at parrying to visceral (thank you zelda breath of the wild) but bullets are SO EXPENSIVE. WHY.
