Klein's little shoulder pat to whitley was so fatherly because what kind of dad is going to dote on their son on front of the boy's older sister and her friends?? And embarrass him like that?? Absolutely not. Whitley is a 14 year old boy, enough said.

So what I'm saying is that klein most definitely has a cute pet name for whitley like "little meadow" or smthn that he uses in private but whitley still gets flustered because "I'm not a child anymore klein! I am a man!!" and klein just chuckles and says "Very well, I'll call you Master Whitley from now on, little meadow".

RWBY: Two Steps Forward, Two Steps Back: Reaction (Spoilers)

Not all movements equate to progress.

If we’re seeing all team RWBY members in one episode, then I’m sure it won’t be long until they’re reunited!

Thank you Taiyang for voicing the same opinion I had regarding RWBY’s combat strategy, specifically Yang’s. A temper tantrum may be enough for a weak enemy but it won’t always work especially if it’s the same strategy for every fight. If Yang wants to be a better fighter, the best way for her is to either not rely too much on her semblance or if she has to use it, wait until the enemy is off balance and their weakness can be exploited at that moment. As for the comments regarding her mother, Raven, it seems whatever tension there was in STRQ started due to Raven though we only have Taiyang’s account to go on.

Weiss asked Whitley if he was jealous. Maybe he’s not as good a fighter or Glyph user as either of his sisters. He may not even have the Glyph semblance at all. He did call being a Huntsman barbaric so that may be some evidence of his lack of combat skills. It was funny seeing Weiss use a Glyph to slam the door in his face. Weiss most likely didn’t break out of her room right then and there since security was upped to confine her. Thankfully she has Klein and her newly realized summon knight to help her out. I guess we’ll soon find out just how competent the Schnee home security really is.

Another non-mammalian Faunus comes in the form of chameleon Ilia Amitola. Her sword whip is pretty cool though seeing Sun wounded by it was less so. I’m sure he’ll be fine since they’re in a village where medical treatment is more readily available.

As for Qrow, his situation is more dire and there’s a split in RNJR/JNRR’s team morale. After learning about Ren’s past we as viewers have a better understanding of why he wants to avoid Kuroyuri and this is also the first time we’ve ever seen him so stubborn or noticeably uncomfortable with a plan of action.
