𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩?

One Piece is such a fun and whimsical little universe that I just wanted to get extra creative with my character. Most of my ocs are, in one way or another, an extension of myself so technically it can still be a self-ship! (Well that’s what I tell myself).

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐰𝐢 (+ 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐢):

Kiwi is very much a golden retriever— goofy, laid back, and always unapologetically themselves. They’re the type to crack a joke if things start feeling bleak and knows exactly how to lighten the mood. A gym bro at their core, Kiwi is also musically gifted, with their favourite instrument weapon being the guitar.

If for some reason they don’t like you, their easy going vibe can get real petty, real quick. It’s usually in the most ridiculous and harmless ways. As my friend once said, Kiwi is the type to send hate mail to anyone who has done you wrong. Nothing threatening but just bizarre.

When it comes to Nami, Kiwi is completely and utterly in love with her. Shark teeth and all. They adore her.

One of their favourite things to do together that isn’t sexual is just lounging around in the other’s lap, braiding or playing with each other’s hair. The crew can always tell if Nami’s just worked on Kiwi’s hair if it looks neater than usual (I headcannon their natural hair to be untamed and unruly).

They are slow burn, and don’t really get together until after time-skip. Nami fell first but Kiwi definitely fell harder. Nami tried to brush off her feelings at first but she couldn’t shake how Kiwi’s warmth kept pulling her in. What really messed with her head was not knowing if Kiwi’s extra kindness was just them being friendly like they are with everyone else or something more. Meanwhile, Kiwi was just as confused, thinking their feelings for Nami was completely platonic until they started noticing how their heart would race and their stomach would flip whenever she was around.

Sick and tired of constantly unga-bunga smashing their guitars in battle, Franky eventually makes Kiwi a guitar that doubles as a weapon (the one in the comm).

Kiwi doesn’t feel jealous when Sanji simps over Nami. Tbh they kind of just go, “Yeah, I get it” and moves on. However, any time Sanji calls Zoro ‘mosshead’, Kiwi is usually in the back like, “Hey man, what the hell…”

Zoro and Kiwi bicker. A lot of push-up contests. But they’re more similar than they think. These two get called ‘two peas in a pod’ which makes it funnier because they’re both green.

Kiwi was like Robin’s feral dog in the beginning. Settling into the crew and getting to know everyone was a little chaotic because they literally had nothing to their name except the clothes on their back and a talking skeleton as a friend.

Brook is Kiwi’s first and proper friend. I won’t go into their lore right now but they feel as though they are indebted to Brook. Kiwi might not be alive because of him. They often duet for the crew.

So! What's the status of the Adults in Worst Time? Even better what's the status in the FUTURE!! ?

The status of the adults is that they just progressively more protective over everyone else, especially Aizawa. You just have this passive-aggressive back-and-forth between each other but the moment something threatens their family they just push their issues to the side and work as a unit to figure out how bad the situation is. Once they figure that out, they’re going to try to make the best of the situation and try to negotiate with the people in the past and noticeably not break the timeline because they have no idea how much is connected.

It gets noticeably harder not to break the timeline though when they get more and more involved with All For One and Yoichi.

Noticeably though you will have Aizawa and Mr Compress being the ones who usually try and lead conversations with others in the past. This isn’t because they particularly want to have the reigns but because they’re the few people who wouldn’t go and have too much questioned regarding how they look.

This is because of Low-Key Quirks and because of Japanese Ideals and Culture. Right now they fit the closest to it.

As for the future, well right now things are actually just pure panic. The public is both worried and confused by this whole thing. They’re trying to figure out how such a large group of people just upped and disappeared!

UA is trying so hard to find these people and Yamada is pulling his hair out on what is the cause of all this. A flash occurred and then what? And then what? There had to be a source! There has to be!

Now then, a bit of news about the timeline. The timeline, ultimately, is already shifting into a whole new thing. It went from Timeline A to Timeline B almost the moment the Time Travel Gang appeared.

Another bit of news is that the Present Day time isn’t flowing like the Past’s time is. It’s kind of like a “Jeremy Bearimy” from The Good Place. Right now the Present is moving in a straight line while the Time Travel Crew is moving in a straight line that turned into a “Jeremy Bearimy”.

The Time Travel Crew is just having time flow faster for them when in the present the most that they’re missing is a week. And when they get back, they noticeably find that their Timeline…isn’t the same Timeline as before.

The grinch was laying across his bed. He was trying out a new vape cartridge that he bought online, spewing huge purple green and red clouds throughout his cave home that spun around the stalactites hanging from his ceiling. he was absolutley fucked up. it tasted like strawberry kiwi grape taro root and coca cola. "i feel incredible" thought the grinch.

it was late march after he had saved christmas from himself and ever since he had been sad about his life. despite an awesome christmas no one wanted to hang out with him or really do shit with him. Fine he thought. even though im normal now im finding it really hard to make friends. but thats fine because i have a ton of stuff in my house to do to make it way easier to be alone. namingly his brand new immersive vr system. Which he popped on while still generously fucked up off of his strawberry diesel flavored 510 threaded cart, on the highest temperature for maximum clouds.

so when the game loaded up he was already feeling it. he had a VR assault rifle blasting the bugs in front of him to fucking smithereens. This is incredibly realistic he thought. little windshield wipers on his in-game goggles wiped guts and bug limbs from his view. it was the first level so he had it completely memorized so it was pretty much easy as fuck for him. so realistic, but so boring. he started to panic. no buddies... no crew... his dog is fine but you need boys to hang out with. fuck this vr shit. he threw it off and hopped on discord.

his favorite streamer banned him. whaat. he pays the 5 dollar patreon fee for access. what happened. "she saw the thing about you and christmas." fuck. "but i fixed it" "yeah but shes still playing it safe" maaan. fuck this.

“Well, look who is back,” Dokucha called with a smile as she watched the familiar crew walk into the bar.

“I’m guessing your treasure hunt was successful then?” She teased as she began rolling out tankards towards the crew, who threw cheers at the barmaid

“Ready as always, Dokucha,” Yassop called as he took hold of his tankard.

“I can’t let my best customers go thirsty now, could I? Nor hungry,” she called as she passed by his table, dropping a plate of the fish of the current season in front of the man, bordered by a few crustaceans.

“Yahahaha, you actually remembered?!” He called as he took one of the crustaceans and plopped it in his mouth

“Of course!” She grinned, throwing the man a wink as she dropped a plate of chicken meat to the man sharing Yassop’s table

“Din’t forget about you, Lucky Dear.”

"Jajaja! Thank you Dokucha!"

“At your service.”

“What about you two gentlemen?” She teased as she pulled out two glasses for the men who sat at the bar

“Willing to take a risk with me again?” She asked as she began to mix drinks in front of them

“Dahahaha! You always manage to hit the mark with your drinks, Dokucha!” Shanks cackled as he nodded his head toward the woman.

She shook her head as she let out a giggle at his usual overexcited attitude as he looked towards his first mate.

“What about you, Beck? Up for the challenge?”

“For you, Darlin’ always.”

“Alright!” she exclaimed as she continued mixing drinks, occasionally stopping to blend fruits to add to them.

“And here you go!” she said, sliding a green drink to the Captain, topped with a couple of Kiwi. To the vice-captain, she slid a glass with golden liquid, topped by a lone cherry as a garnish.

“What are they?” Beckmann questioned, taking a small sip of the drink

“Oh! It’s sake?!” Shanks beams as he tastes his own drink

“Yes! It’s a Caipisake! I know you always say there is no better drink than the one in East Blue. So I present to you the traditional and most famous drink in the Goa kingdom: a cocktail with a base of sake.” she babbled out as she gestured to the fruity cocktail.

“Beck, I made you a Manhattan. It has a base of Black rum, which has a smokey flavor since I noticed you tend to enjoy those more.”

“I taste a sweet undertone,” he called, glancing up at her.

“Mmhm! That would be the sweet vermouth.” She gushed.

“Dokucha, you have got to sail on the Red Force with us; I can’t possibly survive the rough sea without your brew. Here, I thought sake would be enough for me, but sweetcheeks, you have a knack for changing a man!” Shanks proclaimed as he swirled his glass and downed it

“Despite his overdramatic, he is not wrong, Darlin’. Every time we come, you make something different, and every time, I leave with a new favorite,” Beck spoke, ignoring the protests and whines the redhead threw his way.

“I-It’s nothing; it would be bad if I couldn’t do this much,” she said, a meek smile on her face, as she continued to continue drinks and food to the crew, blind to the knowing glances the men shared between them.

She frowned, watching as Luffy ran off, not paying attention to her. Regardless, she continued walking, approaching the pier and the man who sat on it.

“May I ?” She asked, gesturing to the now empty spot beside him, filling it once she had received a small nod from the first mate.

“That went horribly wrong,” he sighed, letting out a puff of smoke.

“I believe it went as good as it could have gone.” she corrected, gazing back towards the sea before them.

“With Luffy storming off once again?” he gaped, turning to look at her.

“Come on, Beck, you have been with him long enough. Luffy is Luffy; your words won’t reach him instantly; he needs time for the words to reach him in his own way at his own time.”

“I’m not sure they will this time,” he called, gesturing towards the mountain Luffy had disappeared too.

“You think he will be able to forgive the boss?”

“I know he will. His emotional intelligence is quite high for such a young boy. He reminds me of you in that way,” she grinned, making her way in front of the man as she kneeled down and took hold of his hands, much to his shock.

“Thank you, Beckmann, for always watching over my nephew and for being such a kind soul; I know this situation with Uta has been hard on you too, so thank you because, despite your pain, you still are trying to help others.”

“You’re killing me here, Darlin, he called as he gingerly grasped her hand, placing a small kiss on it, his signature cigarette now long gone.

“I made a mistake.” He sighed

Shanks had just returned from Elegia just hours before and to say that he was heartbroken was an understatement. So much had occured in so little time, he had to fight his own daughter who under the control of the music demon had ravaged trough the town. Ultimately, after he and his crew had managed to defeat it, he decided to leave Uta behind, taking the blame for the destruction of the town.

“It’s not an easy situation,” she started, slightly smiling as she continued drying her glassware.

“But I would go back. AH. Ah.” She tutted, putting a finger up as she noticed Shanks’ attempt to interrupt.

“Shanks. You made a choice a decade ago; you could have chosen to find her a different home and leave the chest with someone else that day. But you chose to parent her instead; you took the responsibility, and so now you keep that responsibility.” she scolded, by now having left the safety of the bar as she stood in front of the man to take her point across

“I know you think this is what’s best for her, but is it really? You just left her behind and had someone tell her, ‘Oh yeah, the people who have cared for you your whole life and who you admire deeply just destroyed, ransacked the town, and left you, sorry! But don’t worry, I’ll make you the greatest singer!” she rambled, her voice taking a higher pitch as she imitated the mayor’s voice.

“Dokucha, she has a dream. I cannot keep her from achieving it by keeping her tied to the crew,” he frowned, looking away from the mixologist.

“How is her being with her family tying her down? Had she asked to leave the crew, would you have stopped her?”

“No-

“No! If she wishes to leave, she can make that decision herself, Shanks. She is a child, a very loved one. So Yes, of course, she won’t leave her family regardless of her dream right now, she’s 12, but kids grow up and independentize, and they should do so with the support of their family. She should not be following her dream on a far-off island with some old man, thinking that her family left her behind whilst destroying the town of that said old man!”

“Dokucha i-

“Answer me this: do your crewmates not have their own dreams they are trying to achieve?” She questioned ignoring the man’s attempt to step in

“They do, each of them does, but it is not the same.”

“But it is,” she answered softly, putting one of her hands on his cheek to get his attention.

“A crew can have dreams while being on the crew, just like their Captain does; they reach those dreams with their family, their crew. None of them have given up on their dream, and you would never ask that of them; rather, you do everything in your power to support them, don’t you? That’s what Uta needs.”

He stared at her for a while, eventually leaving out a scoffed laugh as he shook his head. He had been sure of his decisions Days prior as he believed that leaving Uta behind following the rise of Tot Musica would be the best for both of them. It would keep his daughter safe and it would enable her to finally go after her lifelong dream but after hearing the point of view of an outsider his previous decision definitely seemed….stupid.

“Thank you, Dokucha, I will, I will get my daughter back,” he stated

“But you know I’ve never seen this side of you; you have always been so sweet-spoken, never took you for the bossy type,” he teased.

Her face flushes at his words as she backs away from him, putting her hands on her face as if to make herself invincible.

“T-Th- I ju- I just wanted to make my point!” she sputters out.

“Mmhm,” he hums, resting his hand on the bar counter as he leans his cheek on, watching the woman try to compose herself.

“R-Regardless! Luffy is here, s-so get yourself together,” She grumbled.

Listen Like I said I went off on Shanks, someone had to tell him 💅🏽 .And Somebody had to tell my man Beckman! Cause we see you Beck we see your hard work!!

Billboard campaigns have been a staple of fandom campaigns for donkey's years (and is still going! Congrats to the Dead Boy Detectives fandom on a sick af billboard). People can care about multiple things at the same time and do! Have you heard of Our Flag Makes A Difference? Feel free to donate through one of their links. There's also the OFMD Gotcha for Gaza campaign.

Outside of Palestine, the fandom has raised tens of thousands of dollars for multiple charities and mutual aid funds. Here is a list.

Guz himself said this wasn't the reason. He played a character with very little screen time and less than ten lines in season one. When there was a 40% budget cut and a move to AoNZ it was only logical he would get the axe - particularly because there was a tax break for hiring local Kiwi talent.

Maine

He's not the most patient, but he's not the most forceful either.

He'd rather you love him on your own accord, but he doesn't mind making you love him, especially if you take too long to show any affection.

He's a little possessive, he doesn't mind if you have a friend outside of the crew, but he hates when you touch anyone that's not him or Dorio. Pilar is..annoying. But even he knows not to push it too far. It doesn't mean he's not going to push that line as far as it can go.

If you joined his crew, then great. Better reason to get close to you. But if you're just a random civilian, of course you'll be confused as to why someone like him is interested in talking to you.

You know you shouldn't be weary of him because of how he looks or his background. So you try to be nice. You make conversation with him, questioning the occasional suspicious things he says but, it's probably nothing. You don't want to be mean, so you never turn him down when he asks you something small.

When he brought his girlfriend, Dorio, around, you really thought it was okay. He seemed to love her a lot. So you ignored the side of your brain that was screaming at you to cut contact with him, to atleast be a little more safe and to question his objectives more.

You should've known, should've done differently. You never should've even spoken to him in a friendly way. But now you're stuck. He says he's doing it for you, for your safety, but is he? You used to think he wasn't but you can't tell anymore.

Dorio

She tries to take it slow with you, she doesn't want to scare you off or make you hate her. But it's so hard sometimes. All she wants to do is show you how much she loves you, how much she cares.

If you don't accept her confession, she'll ignore it. She'll act like you're both together. She doesn't care. She needs to let out how she feels in some way.

She tries to make you have a relationship with Maine as well, she's less forceful with that, because in her mind, you'll come around.

If you try to leave or breakup-even though you were never dating in the first place-she'll threaten you. If you never do that, she'll be sweet with you. She doesn't mind if you express displeasure with some things she or Maine do. Everyone needs their boundaries, even if she doesn't like them.

Overall, she's pretty tame. She prefers you to spend all of your time with her or Maine but she doesn't mind when you spend a little time with others-atleast those in the crew.

Kiwi

She's more of a stalker, she knows she shouldn't get close. She shouldn't entertain this fascination of hers.

She observes you when she can, taking note of your movements and making sure she knows your schedule and you to the point that she knows what you're doing, even if you're not doing what you regularly are.

She's possessive, but she knows she can't just kill everyone who touches you. So she settles for the occasional stranger or acquaintance every now and then. It's never enough. And eventually, she cracks.

If you're in Maine's crew, she'll talk to you sometimes of course. Never being too nice, never being too standoffish. Like you don't matter to her.

If you're not, then of course one day she can't help it. She'll squeeze herself into your schedule, just to keep how she feels at bay. She'll talk to you for a moment, feel the fleeting brush of your hand under hers as she apologizes for bumping into you.

Soon she starts popping up more and more in your life. It's odd, but she seems nice.

After a while of the same song and dance, she starts to yearn for more. Stronger than before. She knows that soon she'll have to do something. She's already planning on what.

Lucy

She tries to become someone close to you first, she stalks you when she's already seen you for the day, and she wants to know what you're doing.

She's not stupid, she takes it slow. She doesn't mind playing the long game if she gets you in the end.

Eventually, once she's one of your closest friends, she slowly starts picking off everyone you know. Your friends, family, whoever. At first it was just a sad coincidence, in the end it was a curse for you. You even shut her out, you didn't want her to get hurt or die.

She saw how much it was hurting you, but she kept going. She left some, but you wouldn't let them near you, and they didn't want to be around you either. She was the only one you had left. You should've been suspicious. But you were just grateful.

She'd never leave you. She's been by your side through everything. In the end, you're the one confessing. She doesn't reject you. You should've known. But how could you have?

David (before time skip)

He wants to make you comfortable, wants to make you feel safe and he wants for you to love him naturally.

But he can't help how clingy he is, always offering to come with you everywhere, like a dog.

Let's say you're his best friend, he knows he's been pining over you for so long. He just never realized how bad it was until recently. When he felt genuine murderous intent when he saw another one of your friends-a male one-hug you. He doesn't think he's ever felt like that before.

You're always the one to patch him up when he gets bullied, and he loves it. He loves it so much. You're so kind to him. You're so close to him.

He confessed to you the day before his mother died. He thought that, for once, everything was going perfect for him.

After he joined Maine's crew, he introduced you to them of course. You told him to be careful, to make sure he doesn't get hurt. You don't know much but obviously it's not a great line of work. He did his best to listen to you, to not worry you. But eventually, there was nothing he could do.

David (after time skip)

If you thought he was bad before, he's insufferable now. Occasionally, you can use the bathroom alone. But not most of the time. He gets on your nerves so much.

And he's only gotten more possessive. He hates it when you even glance at anyone. He tries to be lenient with you, you're only a human. It's natural for your eyes to wander around, for you to be curious. But when other people look at you? It's a different story.

He lets you around the crew, sometimes. He doesn't want you to get attached to them, or anything like that. He wants you to rely on him for everything. Food, touch, conversation, safety, love.

You couldn't leave him if you tried, but it's better not to.

Pilar

He's a little more laid back, not very possessive. He doesn't mind it much if you're around others, as long as you come back to him in the end.

But he does hang off you like you're the only thing keeping him alive. His arm is almost always around you, and if it's not he's still around you.

He's touchy, sometimes he tries to take it slow but he can't help giving you the occasional grope or feel. He's more forceful with touch than the others, but he's less forceful with how you feel. He knows you wouldn't love him, atleast not immediately. So he doesn't mind.

If you're a civilian, you're bound to think he's a bit odd. He didn't start touching you inappropriately immediately, but he was pretty touchy from the start. The same goes for if you were in Maine's crew, although he does start to give you gropes faster.

Rebecca

She's rather clingy, like her brother. She's always with you. She's confident in herself, but she doesn't mind being a little forceful to get what she wants.

She's possessive as well, getting irritated the moment you talk to someone. She acts annoyed when you interact with others, but if you start expressing that you feel bad she shuts up. She doesn't want you to feel bad, she just wants the other person to go the fuck away.

She doesn't mind killing for you, it only makes her enjoy it more. She knows not to be too extreme with it, to not kill every person you know, but it's hard for her.

It's more likely that you met her if you were in Maine's crew, but if you're a civilian then you only met her by chance. She doesn't plan much, just sort of suddenly pushing herself into your life.

She's loud and brash, but it's sort of endearing in a way. You start to look forward to seeing her again, even if the ways are always random or at the wrong time.

Maine's crew

If you have the attention of all of them, then you're fucked.

You're never left alone, not for a second. Most of the time it's at least two of them with you. You're coddled and doted on like a child.

There was a chance you could've escaped one of them, but all of them? No shot.

If one of them does something to make you uncomfortable, most of the time another stops them or tells them off. Most of them don't want you to hate them, the others...don't really care. As long as they have you.

Extra notes: I wasn't sure if I should add a little more of the entire crew but I ended up writing a little for them !
