Remember when I shared my Valentine’s plan with you guys a few weeks back? Well, I have to say, it went off perfectly without a hitch! Just the most amazing evening. Mister ended up working from home Friday so I did fill him in on what we were doing AND it gave him the opportunity to take me shopping for goodies. Spent part of the day making that most amazing creamy balsamic pasta salad. Picked up coffee & croissants from the French bakery for my roast beef sandwiches. Conquered chocolate covered strawberries. The picnic spot was even better than expected. So was the train ride! Our alcove seats were semi-private and we had the best time singing along to the cringey playlist of rock ballads & Disney favorites. All in all, a perfect day. ❤️

Our youngest kitten is so funny, I overslept my alarm for a lecture so I was lying in bed moaning how I need to track someone down and get their notes, and kitten was worried about the noise so he came up to me and started doing biscuits on my belly.

Now I have plenty of dough to make biscuits with, so I didn't mind, but I also hadn't eaten breakfast and my stomach started making sounds.

The sheer ALARM on this poor baby's face. Eyes wide, ears pinned back, looking at me in horror. Then he starts kneading faster. Ofc, my stomach and intestine start doing more noises. Kitten is distressed! Horrified! He probably thinks I'm dying and his tiny CPR is the only thing keeping me alive.

Eventually I can't keep my laughter in anymore so I get up and my stomach stops and this BABY starts meowing and cuddling up to me like he really did save my life and was overjoyed I made it by the skin of my teeth.

And then I got up and he went over to his food bowl and started meowing twice as hard.

the best commission client you can ever get is always going to be this specific guy: he wants you to draw an oc he's had for like 16 years, he has a folder of references, she's like a catgirl who is also a magician or something, he has 3 paragraphs of her lore that he gives you + an exact pose, he's extremely polite and tells you to take as long as you need, and then he tips like $160 on top of the asking price at the end. and he always looks exactly like this
