PRETTY WHEN YOU SMILE

Synopsis: Did you just smile? Very unusual

Warnings; fluff, established relationship, reader is described to have a cold personality, down bad Hanni (?),?tinsy tiny bit rushed (sorry 😁)

You were popularly known for you cold and intimidating exterior. No one could ever tell what happened on the insides of your head. And how you could pull the bright vice president of the school.

Hanni was the only one who seemed to understand your personality. She was very patient with you and kept on waiting for the day you’ll open up.

That alone was enough to make you happy with Hanni. You’re happy she’s as patient as that because some people probably won’t be able to keep up with that kind of relationship and ended it right away.

You weren’t really fine with PDA but there were ways in which you showed her that you truly care about her even if It didn’t scream as loud as the affection she showed for you.

A small hardly crept its way onto your lips. You never bothered to show emotions. Always keeping to yourself and never really expressing much.

But a day happened to be one of the very rare days you had showed an emotion. That day was the day Hanni would forever treasure in her memories.

It was one cloudy evening. Both you and Hanni were on your way home after a tiring day at school, when you spotted a black fluffy cat lying lifelessly on the ground.

It caught your attention because the pose in which it laid was to adorable to be ignored.

Hanni was a few steps ahead not taking note of your sudden stop. She looked back only after she felt your presence missing. Her protective instincts kicked in, leading to her whipping her head around like she was about to crack it, her body in full panic mode.

She immediately rushed back to the previous place she could recall only to find you squatting on the floor, admiring a black cat in front of you.

A loud sigh of relief escaped her lips knowing that you were okay and safe. Her expression slowly softened to the sight of you adoring the little kitty with a genuine smile. This was the first time she had ever seen you smile with sincerity.

It wasn’t like you never smiled at anyone, it just always seemed so fake, but now here you were, smiling to the point it’s reaching your eyes only because of an adorable cat.

There was just something about your new found behavior that got Hanni weak in the knees. You couldn’t take your gaze away from the cat, she couldn’t take her gaze away from you.

“Soooo….. you actually smile?” She pointed out after what seemed like minutes of watching you coo at the feline creature.

Your smile dropped, and your expressions went back to being stoic. Oh no did she just see you smile?

You cleared your throat, rising up from the ground to face her. “You didn’t see anything” you warned looking around in embarrassment.

She chuckled at your reaction, finding it cute that you didn’t want to be caught showing any form of emotion. “Hey you don’t have to be embarrassed” she giggled slowly extending out her hand to cup your face. “You look even prettier when you smile” she complimented watching as your expressions went from a blank face to a pouty face.

“Nini…..can we please keep the cat?” You pleaded looking at her with puppy eyes, your both hands clasped together. “Please….?” You whispered lowly, your eyes sparkling like tears were about to pour out.

“I—“ she paused not knowing what to do nor say.

There was just something about you acting surprisingly odd that grew an effect on her. She couldn’t bring herself to respond.

Of course she didn’t want to say ‘no’ and perhaps make you feel rejected. She thought that if she did that, it might be the last time she’ll ever get to see you act so soft and silly.

But on the bad side if she said yes, she’ll be forced to agree to co-parent the cat with you meaning she had to take it home. And just like a new born baby, all your attention would be drifted away to the cat.

She couldn’t afford to loose the bare minimum of attention you paid to her for a cat.

Her minds were racing with different contradictory thoughts, contemplating on what to say.

“I don’t know yn….. I—“ she paused, biting her lower lips after taking a glance at your face. You looked so hurt even though she hasn’t said ‘no’ yet.

“Fine. We’ll keep it but just promise me one thing” she demanded, placing her hands on your shoulder.

“What? Anything. I’ll do anything as long as I can keep the cat”

“That means you’ll have to pay equal attention to me and not neglect me after?” She said.

“…..yes I will! I’ll pay more attention to you, I promise” you smiled brightly, holding up your pinky finger to her.

She giggled. “Then it’s final, we’re keeping the cat” she cheered breaking your finger.

“WOOOOO!!” You exclaimed jumping up and down excitedly at the spot. “Oh thank you thank you thank you” you rejoiced grabbing her face to place multiple kisses all over. “Rahhhh! I love you so much” you blurted out for the first time, enveloping a feeling of shock in Hanni.

“I-I love you too” she stammered, her cheeks heating up from the sudden feelings she was having. Gosh it was like she was falling in love with you again.

This is an amazing moment she will forever cherish in her memories.

How Daryl Would Act if You Woke Up in Middle of the Night Feeling Fussy 🧸

NOT PROOF READ TECHNICALLY BECAUSE IM TOO LAZY

After dinner and a little tummy time Daryl helps you with your nightly routine, brushing your teeth, washing your face etc. You both head back to your shared bedroom and he picks you up and lays you down and grabs your bear blankie and tucks you in, he grabs another just in case and put thats one over you also. He takes kittie and places them in your arms, almost as a reflex you latch on to her like a vice and snuggle your face into her. As a finishing touch he goes into the night stand and pulls out your pink pacifier. He places in his mouth first then pushes into your mouth. You start to suckle on it as you look at him with big eyes.

You start to giggle as Daryl settles into bed with you, he turns to look at you.

“What’re you gigglin at sweetheart” Daryl drawls out with a small tired smile.

You look at him with a tiny grin “You look sleepy daddy”

“Do I now?” Daryl pulls the blanket up and brings you closer, invited by his warmth you immediately try to nuzzle yourself to his neck and he lets his chin rest on your head. Pressed, into his neck you pull away and give him a kiss.

“Nini daddy… Wuv yoo” You yawn out before getting yourself situated once more in his neck.

“G’nigh baby girl, love you too.” He gives you a kiss on your forehead and starts rubbing your back. He starts whispering tiny sweet nothings to you as he hears your breathing get slower and slower. Then, he himself falls asleep with you.

Later into the night you start to wake up. You wriggle in his hold and start whining, pushing and kicking until you finally get out of Daryl’s hold. You start to cry and Daryl slowly starts to wake up.

“Mh.. What baby?” Daryl asked sleepily.

You just kept fussing around and even hit Daryl in the face by accident. That was when he decided to get up.

“Alrigh’ sweet heart was goin’ on?” He looked at you and picked you up. Sitting up, he rested his head on the head board and placed you on his lap. He started bouncing you up and down trying to calm you down. You start to cuddle into him but you still act a bit upset. You tap him on the shoulder twice and you pick your head up and look at him.

“Hungie dada…” You say as you start nuzzling into him again. He looks at you with fondness and kisses the top of your head.

“Alrigh’ then c’mon” He places you on the bed and gets up. He stretches and picks you back up and placed you on his hip. You start to whine and fuss and he looks at you confused. Your arms stretch toward kittie as you start to whine for them again. He grabs them and hand them to you. You grab on to them and nuzzle your face into the fabric. He starts making his way towards the kitchen and he looks at you.

“How old are you sweet girl?” Daryl asks. You hold up 1 finger signifying that you’re a year old.

“Alrigh’ then” He goes to the cupboards and pulls out a purple starry baby bottle and places you on the counter. He kisses your forehead and tells you to stay put. You play with kittie and snuggle into her tummy as Daddy (Daryl ofc) makes your bottle. You start to babble and Daryl starts to smile.

“Watch’a babblin’ bout” Daryl asks from the fridge. He grabs the milk as you continue to babble and play with kittie. He pours the milk into the bottle, screws the cap back on and brings it over to the kitchen sink. He turns the faucet on and turns the handle to warm the water. He runs the bottle underwater and consistently rotates it. He tastes a bit of the milk first to make sure it’s warm enough before heading back to you.

“Ababababaaaa” You babble bouncing up and down.

“I know, I know” Daryl says coming over to you and picking you back up. He walks back to your shared room and sits on the bed. He cradles you in his arms and feeds you your bottle.

“You like that sweetheart? Hm? Yeah?” He asks and gives you kissies “Mwah mwah mwah, I love you so much my cute girl” He looks at you lovingly and you stare at him back with tired eyes. “Go to sleep sweetie, Daddy’ll be here” Daryl says kissing your forehead one last time. As you drift off to sleep the last thing you heard was “I’ll always be here sweet pea” as he slips the finished bottle out your mouth and places it on the night stand.

Laying back down with you on his chest he drapes the bear blankie over you and pulls the second one up to cover both you and him. He finally drifts off to sleep feeling content and happy.

annies thoughts on candy canyon kingdom;;

she thinks everything is…very bright. she would paw at the confetti that showered the group as they were led into the kingdom, saying stuff under her breath like “woaaahh…!” and “so pretty…!”

seeing ragatha so happy made her happy as well! she thought she fit right in at the candied kingdom. though too shy to say it: annie thought ragatha was like a brave princess, the way she would take responsibility for important things and be helpful toward many who lived there !! …even if they were all NPCs.

speaking of princesses, annie couldnt stop staring at princess loolilalu. she was…incredibly tall. and made of CANDY. she was a CANDY PRINCESS. how cool !! she would curtsy and say, “ive never been in the presence of a royal before!”

though, her tail would flick in annoyance as she thought about ragatha getting too close to the princess. protective nini mode………she couldnt help it !! spooky candy lady better watch her step. kittys got claws, after all !!

jax would nudge annie, chuckling and saying “annes, she wont hurt us. shes an NPC.”

annie would enjoy riding around candy canyon kingdom, feeling very important (for once). she would kick her feet happily in the backseat, and nearly fall out of the vehicle as she leaned out of the window to get a better look at the scenery.

jax, being his reckless self, would try to get annie to fight against gummigoo and his friends. she would get anxious, hiding behind things and angrily squinting at them instead. ragatha would say something along the lines of “dont make poor annie fight !!”

annie did, however, pounce on gummigoo once. ragatha just picked her up, sweeping her off of the poor gummy-croc while hiding giggles.

she was afraid of the fudge, clinging to ragatha as he would talk to the group.

if annie would be the one in pomnis place (aka helping gummigoo get out of under the map), she would just hug him unexpectedly and begin to share her own experience with dissociation. despite her ditzy personality, annie is very knowledgeable on memory loss, dissociation, anxiety, and other things of the like. she would say “nobody deserves to be stuck in a scary place or situation and feel like nothing. you included, mister gummigoo.”

after the adventure, she would giggle at jax being incredibly angry about the fact that there was no epic battle or bloodshed. she finds his recklessness silly (and attractive-).

once they were back at the circus, she would attend kaufmos funeral. she hates seeing people so upset, and she may not have known kaufmo, but…she wants to be emotional support for the people at the service.

after the funeral, ragatha would hold annies hand as they went to jaxs room. the three would talk about the adventure, and about kaufmos memory.

overall, it was an eventful day at the digital circus !!

ANYWAY! you!!! your writing!!! I love reading it, because it's like sinking into a warm chair. everything is cozy, vivid, captivating. I wanna sink there and stay, because the world is always so sharp and real! I can envision everything with a perfect clarity. Mercy Rule especially, because... yeah! let me see the kitty, let me think of how everything is tinged blue on THAT night, let me feel how Leon feels, like shards of glass and panic and that need to escape. let me sink into all of it.

and you do! ^-^ you do it so well, I almost don't notice! you drag me in and keep me there until I have to resurface for air, and then I get brought back.

I think that's my favorite part of writing: putting a reader in the scene I can see in my head. I've never felt like the storylines were strong, but to me that doesn't matter as much as putting the reader in an emotional moment. How do I lead the reader to feel something? What got the characters to that point? How do I make this moment feel so tangible and real that the reader is THERE. Anyway...
