@thedl2912 It's been years ago (literally) since you sent this prompt. I hope you're still interested to read what I've written and it is an ask of apologises 🥲 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Rate/Warnings: SFW, holidays with family, celebration, boys with their crushes
Tumblr media
Let's be honest: they’d cobble together a “tree” out of random sewer junk, decorate it with makeshift ornaments, and exchange gifts they made themselves. Splinter told them stories of Japanese winter traditions.
They embraced Christmas movies and made it a tradition to have a pizza feast while exchanging small but thoughtful gifts. As adults, the brothers celebrate with a mix of their old traditions and new ones involving friends.
The lair is decked out with real decorations (thanks to April!), and they exchange gifts in a Secret Santa style to make it fair for everyone. No one is left from their family celebration!
Tumblr media
Leonardo
As the oldest, Leo took it upon himself to make Christmas feel special for everyone, even when resources were scarce. He’d create small paper ornaments for their "tree" (usually a pile of junk) and try to teach his brothers Christmas songs. His wish list was practical even as a kid—books, training equipment, or a sturdy toy sword;
He tried to uphold family traditions while dealing with his teenage angst. He secretly saved up to give meaningful gifts to his brothers, such as repairing Donnie’s gadgets or crafting a new weapon for Raph. His wish list expanded to include things like martial arts manuals, music that helped him focus, or items that symbolized his leadership (like a notebook or a decorative katana stand);
Leo organizes the festivities, ensuring everyone gets time to celebrate together. With his crush (you), in the mix, he’s more mindful of personal touches in gifts. He’d give you a thoughtful book, or and a beautiful handcrafted ornament. BUT of course, after the family celebration, he would take you to the Empire State Building to watch the sunrise;
For him, the most beautiful view is you;
His wish lis? The leader would likely include items related to meditation, strategy games, or maybe a simple but heartfelt gift from someone special;
Tumblr media
Raphael
Oh, boy. His grumpy face wouldn't help;
"Why is Raph mad?" Casey asked to Mikey, both eating a plate of pizza slice and turkey on the other side of the main space while watching the red-clad turtle;
"Mad? That's his every-day face." Mikey answered naturally;
Baby Raph had a love-hate relationship with Christmas as a kid. He’d grumble about the lack of gifts but secretly made handmade "weapons" for his brothers out of scrap materials. His wish list was all about action—nunchucks, toy weapons, or something adventurous like a kite (even if it wouldn’t fly in the sewers).
As he grows up, our Raph leaned into the "too cool for Christmas" vibe but secretly loved the holiday. He’d participate in his brothers’ antics, like decorating or gift exchanges, while acting indifferent. His gifts were usually practical or funny—he might’ve given Donnie extra screws for his inventions or Mikey a gag gift. Wish list at older age? Leaned toward punching bags, workout gear, or rock band merch.
As an adult, he is still rough around the edges but shows more appreciation for the holiday. He’s likely to make something personal for his friends, like a DIY repair kit for Casey’s gear or a leather bracelet for his crush. Fitness-related items, cool motorcycle accessories, or something handmade by his loved ones.
You here? PERFECT. He might have an angry face, but it doesn't make you step away. And that blush on his big cheeks when you give him simples touches (HEHEHEHEHSJWISNSKSNSJDK) YOU LOVE THAT. Big teddy bear on ACTION;
Tumblr media
Michelangelo
Everybody knows that Mikey is the most excited about Christmas, treating it as an excuse to have fun and spread cheer. He made lopsided decorations out of junk and insisted on singing carols, no matter how off-key.
He doesn't care about his age. Give this boy toys, comic books, art supplies, new flying skateboards, an update for his knuchakos (have no idea how to write his japanese weapon correctly) but, mainly among all of it, PIZZAS. BOXES OF PIZZAS. Anything what can make him feel GREAT! MIKEY happy, family happy!
Ngl Mikey was the one who turned Christmas into a party, convincing his brothers to play games, watch movies, and eat pizza. The family celebration wasn't that exciting before his happiness change everthing. He gave hilarious, heartfelt gifts like drawing portraits of his family or prank items for Raph. He ensures Christmas is a joyful celebration for everyone. He bakes cookies, organizes games, and makes handmade gifts like a scrapbook for April or a painted helmet for Casey. For his crush, he might craft a whimsical piece of art (of himself or of his crush. Maybe both together ;3). He is THE own Michelangelo reencarned!
Want a nice celebration? Call Mikey, the party maker! The only who can bring happiness to reallity!
"All I want for Christmas iiisss... youuuu" He sings, pointing at you.
You chuckled.
*The song beat starts*
The orange-clad turtle kept on: "I don't want a lot for Christmas. There ir one just thing I need-And Iiiiiiii"
"Don't care about the presents underneath Christmas tree. I don't need to hang my stocking there upon the fireplace (ah)"
You two dance a lot, soon Leo, April, Donnie, Casey and Vernon join.
"Why don't you join them, my son?" Master Splinter asks softly, looking up at Raphael.
He crossed his arms over his big chest. "Don' know. No mood."
Splinter only lifts an eyebrow
Raph sighs. "Okay. But ya will join too."
Splinter smiles.
Tumblr media
Donatello
Your beloved nerd would have been fascinated by the lights and mechanics of Christmas. He spent most of his time trying to engineer blinking lights or tiny motors for ornaments (by Mikey's ideas). He would search for information about this special celebration date and tell every single of them to you.
Of course you are interested!
His wish list, since we was a boy, was full of tech: batteries, screwdrivers, or wires to tinker with. Tech guy, tech stuff! Oh, boy... He does love it!
As a teen, Donnie improved his skills becaming the family’s Christmas tech guru, rigging up makeshift string lights and mini projects to wow everyone. He loved gifting his brothers functional gadgets or tech-enhanced weapons. His wish list was predictable—parts for his inventions, rare tech manuals, or a new soldering iron.
He still brings the tech magic to Christmas. He might build a personalized gadget for April, a hockey puck tracker for Casey, or a thoughtful, techy gift for his crush. His wish list is the nerdiest of them all: microchips, rare circuit boards, or a subscription to a science magazine.
"Did you know that the red suit Santa Claus wears today has its origins in the work of several artists, including: Thomas Nast, Haddon Sundblom-"
You grinned "Clement Clarke Moore and Saint Nicholas Myra. But there are a few others, right?"
"Yeah! Like Norman Rockwell and J.C. Leyendecker. Also, did you know that before Coca-Cola's advertisements, Santa was depicted in a variety of ways, including as a gnome or in different colored suits?"

Ghostcrow & Palasaki (The Old Guard AU: Chapter 3)
Charles remembers going to the kite festival on the cliffs with Monty and Edwin, Monty having to show Charles and Edwin how to use kites that were a bit different than back in their day. Charles remembers the wind blowing Monty’s hair around, the way that he had laughed in delight at Edwin’s incompetence with the strings (so different than rigging a sailing ship, which Edwin got rather spectacular with during the 1600s) of the kite before moving in to help, the way that when Monty had been the first of them to get the kite to fly, Charles had picked him up and spun him around in excitement. Thanks to carrying around all those books, Monty was heavier and stronger than he seemed.
(Just because Monty was mortal didn't make him soft or fragile. Charles never made that assumption. The strange curve at certain joints, evidence of not just broken bones but of survival, of the strength that Monty had to survive and recover, spoke to that clearly. Monty deserved to be treated with care not because he was delicate, but because he deserved to be treated with the grace that life had not treated him with.)
When they’d come home from the kite festival, Edwin had been so tired by the day’s events that he’d fallen asleep across both of them, his head in Monty's lap, his legs in Charles'. Charles had exchanged a fond look with Monty. “Looks like we’re trapped,” Charles had joked, but god, there had been a warmth in his chest, because it was the first time that Charles had experienced Edwin feeling comfortable falling asleep in front of a mortal since the volcano.
"Trust me," Monty had said, running fingers through Edwin's hair, a crooked smile on his lips, "I can't think of anyone I would rather be trapped by."
That had been the moment where Charles had stopped saying Let’s just not forget that we’re not meant to stay and started thinking maybe Monty can come with us when we go.

All Lantern Rite event, but it's XiaoTher
Summary of Xiao x Aether content in every Lantern Rite event so far.
Lantern Rite 1.3 event (2021):
Tumblr media
☆ Aether helped Xiao perform various tasks.
☆ Aether visited Xiao in Wangshu Inn.
Aether: "You wouldn't go to the festival, so we brought the festival to you."
Xiao: "Does is serve any grander purpose?"
Aether: "This way you can take part in Lantern Rite."
☆ Aether prepared a dinner for Xiao and helped organize a small Lantern Rite celebration at Wangshu Inn.
☆ Xiao accompanied Aether to Liyue Harbor.
Aether: "O Vigilant Yaksha, please escort us safely to the city."
Xiao: "So be it. I shall accept your proposal."
Xiao: (...) Speak my name. Anywhere. Anytime."
☆ Xiao watched the lanterns and smiled.
I know, it sounds like two characters dating. It was like that. Sometimes even I'm surprised how canonically the Xiao x Traveler ship is treated by HoYo.
Lantern Rite 2.4 event (2022):
Tumblr media
☆ Xiao invited Aether to Wangshu Inn.
Xiao: "When this matter is resolved, come to Wangshu Inn. In previous years, the Mingxiao Lantern has been visible even from there."
☆ Aether visited Xiao and bring him food and other presents.
☆ Xiao said Aether that:
Xiao: "If anyone wishes to see me, I know they'll come and find me"
implying that he would like Aether to do this.
☆ Xiao watched the lanterns smiling again.
What was especially cute was that when Aether arrived at Wangshu Inn, Xiao right away went up to him without Aether's calling and asked if he could help.
This happened at the first meeting and even during the Waterborne Poetry event, but it's rare when Xiao takes the initiative.
Lantern Rite 3.4 event (2023):
Tumblr media
☆ Xiao saved Aether from the water and was very worried about him.🥹
*Someone carries you ashore, so quickly that you don't catch who it is...*
Xiao: "Glad you're okay."
Xiao: "...Your actions here caused caused others a great deal of worry. Do not repeat them again in the future."
☆ Xiao finally went to the Lantern Rite festival in Liyue Harbor because of Aether.
Xiao: "She told me that all the guests today would be "acquainted with elemental power." and I knew that you would be here."
☆ Xiao sat down next to Aether at the dinner table and then escorted him out.
Aether: "I ate too much. Could you come take a walk with me?"
Xiao: "Sure."
☆ Xiao and Aether talked lovingly in private:
Xiao: "Whenever I think of the ordinary conversations I've had with you, it feels... strangely novel."
Aether: "Strange in a good way?"
Xiao: "Yes." *little smile*
☆ Xiao chose Aether to be "the most distinguished guest." (so that even Zhongli was there, whom he deeply respects)
Everyone: "Who is the most distinguished guest here?"
Xiao: "One person here is well-acquainted with everyone else."
Aether: "(...Hm?)"
☆ Zhongli approved Xiao and Aether's relationship and gave advice to Xiao.
Zhongli: "Just as Xiao may seem unapproachable to most, but Aether has proved otherwise."
Xiao: "Rex La- I mean, Zhongli, what you're saying is..."
Zhongli: "Haha I meant what I said."
Xiao: "General Kapasis always said that we should live in the present and enjoy every little pleasant surprise. Perhaps that's what I should do with what I'm feeling now."
Zhongli: "It looks like you understood what I meant."
Xiao to Aether: "I appreciate your kindness. See you next time, then."⬇️
☆ Xiao and Aether finally watched the lanterns together.😍
youtube
Lantern Rite 4.4 event:
Tumblr media
☆ Zhongli took Aether on purpose to the place where he knew Xiao was and wanted them stay together alone and fly a kite together.🪁
"Uh, why did you have us walk all this way?"
Zhongli: "I'll leave these two kites with you. Perhaps you can find a few friends with which you partake in the activity. You might find it to be enjoyable use of your time."
Flustered Xiao: "Oh, uh... Wait, who enjoy kite-flying?"
Zhongli: "Well, I would imagine some of your talent and wisdom is more the capable of finding out."
Xiao: Aether, when the Lantern Rite is over, come find me near Pervases' temple if you have the time.
Aether: "Absolutely."
Xiao: "Mmm." 😊
Zhongli: *plan succeed*
☆ Xiao invited Aether to visit him at the usual place and they released together the lantern that Xiao made.
Tumblr media
Xiao: "Aether."
Aether: "It's just as I thought... You stopped short of stepping into the city again."
Xiao: "Being in the city isn't the only way for me to appreciate the lights and beauty of Lantern Rite. Look... Liyue Harbor lies just beyond this mountain."
Xiao: "As long as I stand at this vantage point, I may freely behold the sight of all the kites slowly ascending into the sky. ...For me, that is enough."
Aether: "Alright."
Xiao: "I invited you here because there is something I would like to do. I want to release a Xiao Lantern, and... I'd like you to be there for it."
Aether: "Did you make it yourself?"
Xiao: "Yes. I apologize for its crude appearance... I have little skill in that regard."
Aether: "No, no! It's amazing!"
Xiao: "...You're very kind, as usual."
Xiao: "Alright, it's time."
*they release the lantern together*
☆ With a nice metaphorical expression that Xiao said, it was hinted that Aether is the one who brings peace to Xiao.
Tumblr media
Xiao symbolizes the lantern itself (to which the name Xiao Lantern refers), and Aether is the sky (his name means this in all languages).
Xiao: "Although, watching a kite gradually ascend into the sky does bring me a certain peace of mind. ...Perhaps they are a bit like Xiao Lanterns in that way."
This expresses Xiao's longing for Aether, which is also indicated by his idle animation (when he tries to reach the little light that goes towards the sky with his hand).
When he asks Aether to release the lantern into the sky together to bring the two things closer together symbolizes this beautifully.
Aether: "As the Xiao Lantern slowly disappears into the tranquil night sky, Xiao's expression softens."
Xiao: "... Aether. ... Thank you."
So as the Xiao lantern approaches the sky in a symbolic sense, as Xiao approaches Aether (which is referred to by the meaning of their names), as they have become closer and closer to each other over the years, and this has brought him calm and peace.

X1 ~ Assassinate Love? Mission Failure!
Tumblr media
Reference ~ Chapter One ~ ♪ "Violet" ♪ Heavy downpour of rain cascaded down below weeping skies, trembling with aches roaring amongst Othard city-scape. This story is gray, from time; before…                                   When they first met.                                                                 Softly a footstep rippled against a puddle left in aftermath. Until arriving indoors to an inner-sanctum, where native magpies chirped happily. Eastern-garbed Seeker blindfolded, but not senseless as one of the swarming envoy magpie flew above dropped a contract that would forever change the course of history, his hands-skillfully swiped. This particular individual served within an elite-group of assassins known as Black Miracles, underground where secrets are bred in a shadow organization. Specially-lethally designed to exterminate or hunt; mankind. Often they solved-plights that Doma citizens sought fortune with mere whispers, a jar was created in the space-and-void thought barren of nothing; and sometimes remedy and salvation was granted as alternative fortune.  Duzan-tai-gachi, a foretelling katana, rumors said it could cut-through-anything; was stolen by treacherous pirates stowing near a coast in Ruby Seas, a crucial weapon for arms, The Far East would need to further utilize in their efforts against the Imperial-noose in this period. Fingers-done tracing the braille, understood. Vanishing like fellow-air, his excelling reflexes, heard and moved gracefully not even droplets of rain stood a chance to drench him or deter his pace. Overlooking a cliff where the treacherous sea-vessel took station under canopies of tree-shade; leafs blown taken from creaking branches.
A small-pixie companion peeked her-eyes out of his sleeve and gave a yawn! Awakening, Flicker, who acted as his ‘Sight’ for bound-style. His-motionless tone and verbiage simplistically gave volume, “How many signatures do you detect below?” Commanding an estimate. She peered-forth and squinted, her eyes-zooming inward, aether dancing-around them, creating a distinct aura. As she began counting them… Something odd-occurred, never happening prior that frightened, even the magical-being. The fluttering pixie had eyes-dart back at her of powerful brilliant-violets orbs. “T-t-there’s someone unique in there! They perceived my snooping! I counted a hundred-thirty-nine; before seen Master!” It could be worrying that his own outline was seen back. Most would derail from this mission, dangerous to advance.  Emotionless discarded and donning a mask. “Very well. I’ll just have to slaughter them before they anticipate further thoughts.” There wasn’t any maliciousness in conveying, killing was nothing more than breathing. He pricked a thumb and swiped it across a scroll quickly, and a Hingashi Kite appeared. Gale-winds of the storm, tempest were felt in not only the perception of his incredible-Miqo'te genes, but analyzing when to act with timing and trajectory.  Laughing drunk freebooters on the deck were festively continuing their putrid vices. Descending and atop them with a shadow-drop, they saw a kite above. Before their eyes-caught up, the lights dimmed out, he let himself go from the kite’s handles, and was on their table, kunai-knives, needles and strong-tempered wire linked to those projectiles, swept underneath his sleeves from various directions, piercing their throats, jugulars, every vital and alongside, severing them. A curvaceous courtesan who was getting rowdy sea-dog drinks walked upon poor time, she saw crimson ichor being washed away, the rain was frighteningly his accomplice, the puddle-of-red reflected his true murder-design. She couldn’t bellow aloud, a death-palm wrapped around her mouth, another callous-leather-gloved hand squeezing around her throat, tight-too-much-so. Expression's fear wrinkled her facially… Then… absence, null, but silent-peace, strangled and manhandled. He was just a loyal-bound blade of servitude, no attachments anchored him. Who molded him into such a proficient-weapon, broke, rebuilt, and then broke him again until he was forged; meant to horrifically slash, he-zoned away from his identity. Becoming Doma’s hidden blade, The Black Miracle; resident night-fright, his-assassin moniker; Shadow Father. Before disappearing from his deed, fire erupted from below the floorboards, he barely dodged unscathed, his tail-singed and soles alongside garb, strand hairs engulfed to embers. Instinct kept him solid. Quick-but-not fast enough to slaughter-everyone as intended. That presence aboard who peered back, unthinkably walked up above, her aroma drove him wildly in familiarity and attempted to evoke; tranquility, and even open to possibilities of allure. Beyond all that emotionless, senses were being drawn-back for the memory, he wore so many masks and bore many scars, to forget, manipulatively disciplined. You are nothing but steel…           You will execute for peace.    You are formless, stainless. You’re too sharp and have no delicate edges.            You slaughter in one-blow decisively. You hold no-weights, your identity-matters not. For you are The-Blade! Remembering this poisonous teaching, he was whipped, brutalized, his body-soul-mind-spirit forged, conducted in a method, to become strictly something conditioned, for War. A thing; the technology, advancements of all of Garlemald would be fearful to know; as an enemy not even precious machinery could stay guarded.
Tumblr media
Flicker pried out of his sleeve gaining some distance but telepathically linking to him, “Careful, Master! She’s got spirits! They’re… they’re everywhere… even the ones-you-slew.” Silencing and restoring composure from his flash-back once again being his own bane of emotion, blinding himself. Her bare-feet walked on the dock, connected with nature’s blessing, life to death, in the fullest. A totem-hanging on her waist. “I’m so sorry. This is my fault, I should’ve figured they’d bring someone to retrieve that blade! I’v-” Before she could explain; that reasoning beyond their thievery was to remove the Voidal curse placed on that blade! If anyone unsheathed it, they would’ve gone on a mad killing-spree and struck all allies. She was round-kicked in the gut-sent reeling back and upchucking saliva, her breathing labored and consciousness staggered. The assassin lunged-forth with a piercing-charge but was blocked by an earth-spirit who defended her, conditionally and lovingly. The fire-element sent another blast towards him that caused his tail-senses to react with a bolted dodge. The-pirated angry spirits that were slain became malevolent and wicked, to the point they were manifesting pure-hatred toward their executor. He took punches and blows, from-the-unseen in-between worlds as-if air-was fighting back. Visibly-soundless blows cracked ribs heard, his teeth-gritted, palms grabbing the hilt of his true-sheathed Hingashi-forged, blade, aether exuding out of him before pulling out with a spinning slash, true-compact steel like he wielded, neutralizes spirits-demons, once again he slew and their heads dissipated, as so-did their forms, but they would manifest again, in time. This occurrence wasn’t normal. Most often people vanquished will dissolve to the life-stream typically, but not always. Some spirits-souls, become lost or fragments! And as-such, become damned, malevolent-incarnates, they curse, and will-sink into where they often were slain with irritation if not given proper guidance or closure. By a-proper mender. That woman was responsible, that strange-totem on her waist, strange-aura emitted from it. Flicker shouted out at him. You’ll have to kill her or destroy that thing on her buckle! Regaining her stature a little wobble in her legs and shaking, she spat out blood, giving a look at her palm of her condition; feeling it; embracing, “I don’t like to hurt others, but I’ve no choice! You’re too dangerous!” Taking a fighting-pose, her lips pursed apart.                                      “Soul-Integration: Earth"
He took a sword-stance, which his blade-charged lightning swirled around him, in blinding-speed he would-take once again another plunge forth, it didn’t matter if any of her element-spirits were blocking him. He’d blitz and take that damned-head! The accomplice of the assassin, the rainstorm taking place, struck lightning and fed into his aetherial charge! Blowing-through, uprooting and tearing the-deck of the ship, lightning-set-ablaze and struck the sail, burning it; rain-weather sought to quell. His powerful-strike was rooted and grabbed-shockingly, by her hand that was earthly-attuned and imbued, startling to him, the soles-of-her feet had become-gravel clad-boots to absorb electricity and nullify it, entirely and reinforce her physical-strengths ten-fold. She delivered a counter-punch uppercut that shattered his mask and broke into his face, following with her long and powerful legs, thighs credibly known of the Seeker and kicked him in the ribs if they were-cracked from earlier onslaught, it broke just now!
His air-gone and wheezing lungs took placement, sanguine-drenched down from his nose-broke, he realigned with a snap.   She fused herself with the Earth spirit? What-was this woman?! “MASTER, I’VE HEARD OF THIS!”                                     “SHE’S A SHAMAN!!!”
Coughing and hacking up internal-injury, the Black Miracle, blindfolded visage revealed mask-shattered, but some of his tribal-marks showing his distinguished face.                                                                                                                        They knew another. Gasp of realization came from her, tackled off her feet the Integration breaking, detecting her stance-wavered showing signs of weakness to exploit, falling back on the wood below crashing with him over-top her, he aligned his blade up to the skies and was going to pierce it-downward into her heart, in that instantaneous moment fire-erupted, his-blindfold, was extinguished purposely, her delicate hands grabbed his cheek; comfortably, an ilm-away from puncture, her composure didn’t waver, his unyielding and dazzling golden eyes-open and the world unraveled to truth. Time felt removed. With all that was ingrained, emotionless, nothingness. How could he forget the one-person who combated him many, years ago, strangers that passed by in their moments-in-life, and for some reason, she conveyed something out of him and extracted it to make him; change his destiny and create a dynasty to live for a greater-good. He was Shadow, mysterious and deadly, but unbiased-slaughtered he sacrificed his identity without even being born from the Nationality to make amends for the atrocities of a Nunh formerly, he became emotionless not trusting his raging ire of old; transforming to cold steel; removing former color until it was midnight-black. She was Light, warm, non-discriminating, embraced notions, exhibiting pure heat. Just her presence-alone, felt like you were able to confide-in, she sacrificially served as a heroine ahead-of-time and threw herself at the task of any troubled-spirit, soul, and brought eternal-heaven before them. Exiled and Freed from their Tribe Sept-branches they entangled on fate-paths long-ago and had but a simple conversation, but there was something that felt-so intimate between them and joy-easiness, that type of feeling; you cannot conceive, can’t put currency on it and try determining the value, or place-why, it just exists! Love meant to be. When gaze met; constellations opened, peering futures, hearts awoke, hers longingly and that blade himself, alongside wielded, surrendered clanging against the planks.                 “I know you.” "Yeah, and I know you.”                                                             Her smile sheathed his steel-composure. For the first-time again… his heart-beat thrummed.      Reminded his identity-of-former, beyond obligated masks wore.
How problematic after a succession-rate of 100%                                                         Mission,                                         Contract,                                                             Failed...

Fic writing has gotten me thinking;
For those who need the text from the pearl;
"It's a catalog of bolts and screws for sky-sail joinery. We iterators were built for pragmatism, so it is an understatement to say that we were not known for our appreciation of beauty... but the sky-sails in flight during the big festivals always filled my soul with emotion."

Today was great but I am so tired right now. Also crazy full. I ate to much today. But it was in the pursuit of spending time with my family. And it was a really great time.
I slept alright. Deeply. And woke up at 8 the first time to see a text from my mom that they were on their way. And I went back to sleep for an hour.
I woke up for real around 9 and felt pretty good. But my hair was dirty and I was struggling with my outfit.
I would end up back in the denim dress I wore earlier this week. I tried shortening it and ended up chopping a bit extra off and I would have to hem it interestingly later on. But I for now I was ready for my parents to come!
I would run around with the vacuum and just made sure I would feel proud to show off the house. I set up the screen in the backdoor so they could have all the nice natural light. And then I waited in the studio for them to come. I would start sewing the noses on my mice plush. And after I finished the second one my mom knocked on the door.
I was so happy to see them. Dad was a little wobbly but he made it up the stairs. The door did close in his face from the air pressure of the back door being open. Oopsie.
I gave them the grand tour. We spent a lot of time in the studio showing them all my organization and the things I've made of collected. I got to brag about my tanks and the handle I am finally getting in the snails. It was great.
And they seemed so proud and excited. And best of all the seemed to really like it and all the work we've done. Dad looked at all the construction/builder details and he felt like the house was good. Mom said it feels solid. And I agree. It doesn't creek or shake or sway or anything. It is solid and quiet.
That's something they pointed out. How quiet this area seems. And it so most of the time. A few hours a day as people are coming home or gets a little noisy. But it is mostly just quiet.
We went through the whole house. I talked about my builds and diy choices and mistakes. Dad was impressed by the catio. Mom and dad thought my pressure fit screen door was very funny. We were having a great time.
About an hour after they got there we finished the tour and we all hung out on the couch and talked and it was really nice. They requested coffee and since I don't actually know how to make coffee starting from just the beans I suggested we go out.
I thought we were looking at cafe level of restaurant, mom looked at the map and suggested Broadway Diner. More meal then I was expecting but I love it there so you don't have to ask me twice.
I drove us there. But before we even got to the car we were laughing so stupid hard because Dad's leg was falling off and he almost fell over into our neighbor's car and me and mom were hysterical and we're struggling to breathe we were laughing so hard.
When we finally got dad to the car we were off and would figure out putting his leg back on once we got there.
We were miscommunicating about parking. So we had some issues giving Dad the space to put the leg on. So I moved the car to a different area and mom was able to help Dad get the leg settled. I am very surprised that it's just vacuum fit, and knowing that, I am not very surprised that it falls off. I hope they can figure something out.
Our lunch was great. But we ate to much. Mom got this stuffed French toast that tasted incredible. Dad got strawberry pancakes. It was just really nice. And it was a lot of fun talking through me and James upcoming trip. And insurance and them telling me stories about scammers and doctors and things in their lives. I was just so happy they were here. We had a nice long meal. And Dad was able to walk to the spot I parked and didn't even need me to move. Proud of him for pushing through.
I took them back towards our house but went the long way around the park so they could see how nice it is. And the kite festival was going on so the park looked so full of activity and things going on and that was just so nice. Seeing it in it's best light.
We got back to the house and I was able to park just out front. And we decided we would take an hour little rest. Which was just fine with me.
I set up our guest bed and got dad an eye mask. And they were the first ones to use the day bed all the way open and they said it was pretty comfortable so that made me feel good.
I could hear them snoring soon. I would spend that time chilling in my bed. I didn't sleep but it was nice to just scroll on my phone and be quiet.
And right before 4 we got up. Redressed. And ready to go meet James.
We did not need to eat. We were all still very full. But I wanted my parents to get to see James too. And so we made that snackrifice.
We drove in separate cars so they could jump right on the highway. And we went to little Havana.
My phone wouldn't connect to the car screen but eventually I figured out how to wedge my phone in the clock space and was able to use my GPS without much trouble.
And we got to the restaurant 15 minutes later. And James was right there!! Was so happy to see them.
I joked with the hostess about making sure we had a table on the floor and not a high top because Dad's leg could fall off.
And we got a nice seat and a really nice waitress. And James got a steak sandwich. And Dad got black bean soup and mom got crab dip and I got avocado wantons. And we would all eat about half.
Everything was so good though. I had some of Dad's soup and it was a little burning but black beans ads always boring. Salt helped. I had a few spoonfuls but I wasnt that hungry. I would end up taking most of my wontons home. I'll have them with eggs tomorrow.
We all talked and it was just nice being together. And I got James to take our picture right before they hit the road. I got big hugs and felt really happy as we said goodbye. Even though I missed them already.
Me and James had to stop at the museum for their stuff. But James would drive us home and I was happy to be there.
When we got back we got to see our neighbors as they were getting their food delivery. There was so confusion with their driver. But it was sorted out and we got inside.
We would just chill for a bit. But I would ask to hang some shelves in James's room. I would also sort out box of extra cords because I knocked it over early. But it's nice and neat now.
I wasn't able to help as much as I wanted with hanging the shelves because I couldn't reach but I helped with tools and leveling and such and James hung then and they look great. It's pretty great to see another thing come together.
We would chill and have sweets and I was entirely to full. But I was having fun and James was being so sweet and I was just really happy. I would fix the hem I cut off my dress so it has a finished edge now. And I fed the animals and cuddles Sweetp and danced with James and it was so lovely.
I would take a bath soon. I also washed my hair. And now I am clean and in bed and really happy but also super tired. So I will soon sleep.
Tomorrow is the next puhtok open house. And I'm looking forward to it. I am also hoping to stop at second chance in the morning. But we will see how I feel when I wake up. Hopefully just fill of energy.
I hope you all have a great sleep. Good night everyone!!!

I feel like celebrating celestial events, equinoxes, solstices is a pretty safe bet! You could easily organize these with your family and even get your community nearby involved too
March/spring equinox, should be a brunch, a picnic, or a tea party celebrating spring. Pastel colors and floral foods and scents. Wearing real flowers somehow, is encouraged. If you're not into flowers, a nature walk or hike with friends! Good substitute for Easter church things
June/Summer solstice, barbecues and pool parties while we have the most daylight. Release paper planes or kites at sundown, instead of exploding shit for InDePeNdEnCe DaY
(This might not replace the Big Holidays, but: Celebrating the various traditional names for full moons through spring and summer! This year, we'll have a Worm Moon, a Pink Moon, a Strawberry Moon, a Flower Moon, a Sturgeon Moon... these would all make fun themed holidays!)
September equinox and Harvest Moon! Lots of cultures celebrate the Lunar Equinox and other autumn festivals. Have an autumnal feast or dinner with as many friends and family as you can! Or do a potluck at work! Wearing plaid or flannel could be a fun dress code. Could be the week of the equinox, if not the day of
November Leonid Meteor shower. There are definitely other meteor showers you could celebrate through the year, but the Leonids are usually the longest-running, and the most visible this year (Nov 6-30th). Peaks on the 17th, which is a great day to mark for a viewing party or a constellation-themed event!
Winter/December Solstice aka the start of Yule, you could make a proper altar and celebrate the 12 days of Yule if you wish, or just the solstice! This could easily be a bonfire-and-smores holiday to replace christmas celebrations if you want to seperate yourself from christianity but still have a winter holiday. Decorate with pine, warm lights, handmade garlands, candles. Make mulled wine, hot cider, wintery foods (foods associated with christmas in America, usually) If not a bonfire, have a fire going and/or candles lit. Give gifts that are more handmade, or using all natural materials, rather than store-bought, some say is more authentic.
^ having this on the last day of Yule, celebrating the end of a cycle/rebirth/ new beginnings, could also easily replace getting shitfaced on NYE for sober people, or those who want a more family-oriented celebration. Have the nature-themed dinner party, and after stay up until midnight and go on a hike, a garden walk, etc— anywhere you can safely appreciate and be surrounded by nature.
You gotta create replacement activities man. We can't just phase out all the church attendance and all the usamerican social holidays cold turkey in the middle of a loneliness epidemic bro like yeah fuck church fuck thanksgiving and FUCK the 4th of July but like what's the long-term plan. People need holidays and repetitive social rituals or they go crazy. Like are we inventing new ones or ....?

Celebrating Patriotism through Tiranga Games
India's rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and vibrant spirit of unity in diversity are best embodied by its tricolor flag—the Tiranga. Over the years, games and activities inspired by the Tiranga have become a powerful way to instill patriotism, celebrate national pride, and bring communities together. These Tiranga-themed games and events provide a unique blend of fun, creativity, and meaningful engagement for all age groups. Let us explore the essence of tiranga games their significance, and ideas to make them a memorable experience.

The Essence of Tiranga Games
Tiranga games are recreational activities and competitions inspired by the Indian flag's colors and symbolism. Popular Tiranga Game Ideas
Here are some creative and engaging Tiranga-themed games and activities suitable for various occasions like Independence Day, Republic Day, or cultural events:

Incorporating Tiranga Games in Schools

Educating the Youth: They serve as a medium to educate younger generations about India's history, culture, and the values symbolized by the Tiranga.
Encouraging Creativity: Themed activities inspire participants to think creatively and express their love for the nation in unique ways.
Building Community Spirit: Such events strengthen community bonds, as families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate.
Tips for Organizing Tiranga Games
To ensure the success of your Tiranga games event, consider the following tips:
Plan Ahead: Decide on the games, venue, and schedule well in advance.
Theme-Based Decor: Use tricolor decorations, such as balloons, banners, and flags, to set the mood.
Engage Volunteers: Involve community members or students as volunteers to manage activities efficiently.
Encourage Participation: Promote the event through social media, posters, or word of mouth to attract participants.
Safety First: Ensure all activities are safe and suitable for the participants' age groups.
Capture Memories: Hire a photographer or set up a photo booth with tricolor props to capture the joyful moments.
Conclusion
Tiranga games are a wonderful way to celebrate India's spirit, honor its heritage, and inspire a sense of patriotism among people. By creatively incorporating the values and colors of the Tiranga into engaging activities, we can foster unity, pride, and a deeper connection to our nation. Whether it's through a competitive race, an artistic display, or a culinary challenge, Tiranga games create lasting memories and bring communities together in the true essence of patriotism.

The Beauty of Rural Life   Rural life is a treasure trove of simplicity and natural beauty. Away from the hustle and bustle of cityscapes, villages thrive as havens of tranquility, offering a glimpse into the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. The lush green fields, the chirping of birds, and the gentle rustling of leaves compose a melody unique to the countryside.   A village awakens with the soft hues of dawn as the first rays of sunlight touch the dew-kissed grass. Farmers begin their day tending to the fields, while children run barefoot, playing under the shade of ancient banyan trees. The aroma of fresh cow dung mixed with the earth fills the air, grounding life in its truest form.   Despite its simplicity, rural life is rich in culture and tradition. Festivals bring communities together, creating a sense of belonging. Meals are prepared with fresh, organic ingredients, and every aspect of life revolves around the rhythm of nature. The sight of women drawing intricate rangolis at their doorsteps, men herding cattle, and children flying kites in the open skies adds charm to the rural landscape.   However, rural life is not without its challenges. Seasonal changes and dependence on agriculture pose difficulties. Yet, the resilience of villagers, their ability to adapt, and their collective spirit ensure that they overcome hardships with grace. Their lives remind us to cherish simplicity and find joy in small things.   Villages are not just places—they are a way of life, a celebration of nature's bounty and human perseverance.   Story   In a small village nestled amidst rolling hills and emerald fields, there lived an old man named Hari. Known for his wisdom and kindness, Hari was a beloved figure in the village. Every evening, children gathered around him as he shared stories of the village's past, tales of courage, and lessons on living harmoniously with nature.   One year, the village faced an unprecedented drought. The river dried up, and the fields turned barren. Fear of famine loomed large, but Hari did not lose hope. He rallied the villagers, encouraging them to dig wells and build small reservoirs. The entire community came together, toiling under the scorching sun.   Weeks turned into months, and their efforts bore fruit. Rainwater collected in the reservoirs, and the fields began to bloom again. The village not only survived the drought but emerged stronger. Hari’s wisdom and the unity of the villagers proved that no challenge was insurmountable when faced together.   From then on, the reservoirs became a symbol of resilience, and the village thrived, continuing its tale of simple yet profound beauty.   #ruralbeauty #villagevibes #countrysidelife #peacefulnature #simpleliving #keralaculture #natureinspired #greenvibes #traditionallife #villagecharm #naturalbeauty #keralalifestyle #pureliving #ecoheritage #raaganilavu #raaganilavusongs #രാഗനിലാവ് #malayalamlive #malayalam #sbtrendz #sbtrendzhealth #sbtrendzonline #bazznjazz #keralagreenery #villagestories #keralaculture #traditionalbeauty #indianvillage #keralastories #naturelover
