Garden of Delights series by @zehwulf Rated E – Rough Enough last week sent me on a little BDSM flavoured journey this week. This 10-part human AU series is *significantly* harder than Rough Enough, although A continues to have his soft Dom personality. I thoroughly enjoyed Crowley’s gender fluidity, as I identify as genderfluid myself. There are some very particular kinks in this series, and a SERIOUS CW for consensual non-consent (CNC) in multiple stories within this series. I’ve never read a fic in this POV and I can genuinely say I enjoyed it and I congratulate the author on making it work so well. There is a lot of humour in this story as well, which I enjoyed and, hey, look, it's not a smutty-smut one. Although it’s definitely not innocent. I loved the character of Duke Asmodeus as well. Highly recommend.

A & C have to share their time at an observatory because there is Only One Telescope. My favourite short Good Omens fics of 2022

I love a good fic rec round-up post, and I've read quite a few excellent stories this year. So here are just some of my favourite Good Omens fics under 10k words that have been completed in 2022:

Bi M' Aingeal (Be My Angel) by IneffableToreshi T, 4905 words. Human AU. A very sweet meet-cute with folk musician Crowley and audience member Aziraphale, at which they bond over their shared knowledge of Scottish Gaelic.

Still, a great deal of light falls on everything by caricari M, 8660 words. Melancholic canon-compliant fic (I know!) set in 1970's New York. An angel and a demon meet, have a conversation full of longing and loss. Beautiful and sad.

Small Cock Appreciation Society by cheerios_and_wine E, 6471 words. Human AU. A very gentle character study masquerading as smut. Aziraphale's small equipment turns out to be just what Crowley is after. Both hot and tender.

Oh I do hope I get time to write this, but it would be a longer series, with them both discovering their exhibitionism leanings.... Crowley because he wants more people to see how good and gorgeous and sensual he can be, and Aziraphale because he wants people to see his possession. I talked a bit about it last rough here. That's funny because I'm pretty sure I've never even written something about either Dreamling or the Ineffable Husbands - at best I've reblogged something someone else has written about them. (And even then I'm pretty sure most of the stuff is just sweet and/or heartwrenching stories/fanart that has nothing to do with my kink.)

As for Mystrade, yes, I think 2 of my ~40 fics with that ship happen to include wg stuff in a kinky manner, because canonically (at least in the BBC version) Mycroft struggles with his weight/self-image, so I thought it made sense to include it (there are also some that include it in a non-kinky way). Funnily enough I also don't even ship Mystrade, because I don't like Greg. I only write this couple because I like/relate to Mycroft a lot and Greg is in there because it's popular and because my fics were written for MystradeMonday Prompts, which kinda implied that it had to be Mystrade. If I'd ever make the effort (which I won't, because I haven't written for this series in months and don't think I'll ever go back), I could replace Greg with literally anyone and wouldn't give a damn

All in all, I would say that hardly counts as "hardcore projection". If you want I could give you a list of straight fictional couples on which I actually project my kink way harder, but whom I never happened to write about (because tbh, I never write kink stuff all that often to beginn with.)

With all that said, I'm sorry I upset you. It's not my intention to fetishize gay couples and if I made you feel like I did, I'm sorry.

2020 Fic Round-Up

Time for my 2020 fic round-up :) I honestly didn't think I'd have much to report on this year, because my hands were pretty much forked from late February onwards, but it turns out I still managed to post 645,000+ words.
