kinkuary 2022 is here!

well! here we all are again.

i kind of can't believe that we're staring down the barrel of february 2022 in much the same shape as we did february 2021...the more things change, the more they stay the same, eh? i think we could all use a little kink in our lives again :)

just like last year, kinkuary is a very casual event, and both fic and art are welcome. there are no wordcount minimums, all ships are welcome, and there’s no participation requirement—you can create for one, some, or all of the prompts. fics do not need to be beta-read if you don’t want, but i do encourage comprehensive tagging for any potential triggers.

**i've made one major change—this event is now open to all fandoms. your mod is primarily involved in two fandoms, with two main ships, but if you feel like sharing this with people in other fandoms, please feel free to reblog with fest/event tags! the same general rules, outlined in the collection link below, apply—basically, be kind, tag thoughtfully, and enjoy yourself!

Harry works too hard, too long, too sequestered. Draco always seems to find him close to that breaking point.

“Where the hell have you been?!” Harry snapped, stepping defiantly into Draco’s path.

Tension was always highest when Harry was a little strung out from the nonstop demands of Auror life. Draco had noticed it more and more lately, with the former Saviour locking himself away for days at a time trying to solve cases, in between the press hounding him and social engagements.

It had happened twice so far, Harry salivating for the chance to fight with him, and Draco evading until eventually he had Harry backed up against a wall. And instead of fists flying, lips had mashed together angrily, while clothing was grasped and bunched. They hadn’t made it anywhere remotely appropriate, but had instead made a mess of the locker showers meant for the Auror department.

Draco had promised himself never to indulge that behaviour again. Harry clearly had some issues to work out, and Draco was not going to go anywhere near that mess. But there had been something in Harry’s eyes that night… Something in the way Draco’s hand felt clenched around his throat. Or perhaps it was the litany of filthy insults Draco had hurled at him while stroking them both off in one fist. Or maybe it was the way Harry immediately sank to his knees at his growling demand, to take Draco’s come on his face without hesitation.

It had happened once more since then, with Harry going as long as he could before that inevitable itch came crawling up his spine, and he started verbally biting at anyone who crossed his path.

That time, Draco had stepped in the line of fire between Harry and a poor unsuspecting secretary who’d dropped a folder of important documents at their feet. Without saying a word, Draco stepped right into Harry’s space and narrowed his eyes. Harry wavered for just a moment before grounding himself and staring back defiantly. Without thinking, Draco had wound his hand around Harry’s tie and pulled him along like he was on a leash.

They’d ended up in Draco’s office, with Harry trying to fight for control but ultimately giving in when Draco made it clear that he made the rules. Harry’s submission stirred something in him: a bit of pride, some awe, and a general feeling of rightness and contentment. Though, he couldn’t help but feel guilty later on while nursing a glass of Firewhiskey. Knowing that Harry wasn’t his, but still ordering him about like the ownership was expected? So he’d made the promise to himself, staying as far away from Harry as possible, even when things were blowing up—literally as much as figuratively—on Harry’s end of the Ministry. It was better that way, or at least that’s what Draco had convinced himself.

What he hadn’t counted on, however, was that Harry might seek him out himself.

“Well?” Harry demanded again, getting right up into Draco’s space.

Draco, who’d been lost in thought, and altogether shocked by Harry’s sudden appearance, was silent before finally answering with a simple: “I need to go.”

Turning about, he tried to make off the way he’d come—no matter that it sent him right back to his office and with no real escape route from Harry. But Harry recovered from the dismissal quickly and was keeping pace with him, angrily ranting at his side about needing Draco and not finding him anywhere, among a million other unimportant things.

Realising quickly that he wouldn’t be rid of Harry so easily, Draco opened the door to his office and motioned for Harry to go inside. The door clicked closed behind him, and it was as if that sound had heightened everything. There was a current running between them, a sudden heat in the room that hadn’t been there before. Harry wanted a fight? Fine.

“Silencio,” Draco murmured, surrounding his office with a soundproof barrier. “Take off your glasses. I don’t want them to break.”

At his sides, Harry’s hands clenched into fists and his eyes narrowed further. “Why? I don’t want to.”

Defiance was written all over Harry’s face. Gods, it was incredible. Beautiful, even. Stepping forward slowly, Draco sauntered towards Harry, his voice a low timbre when he spoke.

“You came here for a reason. You came to me for a reason. I have something, or rather the ability to do something, for you that no one else can. You already know that I can relieve you, so it really comes down to which way you want it to happen? Do you want to give in willingly? Or…”

Draco had kept a slow pace, caging Harry in, but Harry had matched it by stepping backward until there was nowhere else to go. He was faced with Draco pressing into every inch of his body.

“Or…?” Harry whispered. It wasn’t exactly a tremble, but his voice certainly had a breathier quality to it now.

Draco reached between them, but instead of touching Harry—which he’d apparently been expecting if the whimpered noise of disappointment was any indication—Draco undid his tie, tugging at the fabric until it fell away in his grip.

“What you really need is someone who will…” Draco murmured, leaning in to slip the silk tie around Harry’s neck, knotting it differently than it had been on him, until it more loosely resembled something akin to a collar. It was firm, but Draco tested it with a finger sliding beneath and gently caressing the flesh. “Give you what you really need most.”

A shudder ran through Harry’s body, which Draco felt against the hard lines of his own body. The fight was already melting away, as Draco had expected it would, when Harry finally felt like he could let go. He slipped a hand from Harry’s throat to his jaw, thumb carefully sliding over the rough stubble he adored.

“Kneel,” he murmured, palm still carefully caressing when Harry slowly made his way down. “There’s a good boy. My good boy.”
