" well holy shit... i must be dreaming. " leo is not the sort of man who gets star-struck easily. not by people, at least. but when someone is sitting in the diner, and not on the big screen at a drive-in in melbourne, captivating his attention so entirely that he couldn't even be distracted by michael kavanaugh trying to make out with him in the front seat of his dad's mazda. the legend of bollywood, the star of any screen he even breathes on, KINGO! kingo, THE kingo, is sitting in the diner, and aisling is giving him the bloody silent treatment. he walks by, casting a disapproving frown at aisling ( who takes the time to inform him that he knows what he did ) and then moving a little closer, before finally bowing his head with solemn respect, a hand twisting the cap of a pen eagerly in his apron pocket. " mister kingo? hi, hi, um... i'm sorry, you must hear this all the time, but... i'm a huge, huge fan of your films! and, y'know, your dad's films, and your granddad, and... honestly, the whole lot of the films you and your family have been in? excellent stuff. anyway, i, uh... i was wondering, would it be alright if i got an autograph? my boss, aisling, she... she doesn't know much about the film world, y'know? she probably doesn't recognize you, that's all. she'd kick herself if she realized an honest to god movie star was sitting here! The crossover game for my babies Dolly, Primrose, Victoria, Kit and Maya?
Of course, Greta my beloved, anything for you!! Here’s some ideas. <3
FOR DOLLY:
Betty Holland — there may be some issue with them both being Max ships, but if we ignore that I think they’d be really cute friends!
Jandro Torres — Jandro has a habit of unofficially adopting all the kids and teenagers, and I definitely believe he’d love Dolly and act as a very sweet father figure to her.
Mariah Wu — Mariah may not be very good at showing affection, but I’m sure she’d take one look at Dolly and be like “this kid is mine, I’m protecting her now” (and she’d definitely constantly refer to Dolly as the better Harrington just to make Steve look at her with exaggerated hurt feelings).
FOR PRIMROSE:
Greta Dwarf — Greta might judge Primrose a bit for dating Audrey at first, because she doesn’t like Audrey at all, but I do think they’d be pretty good friends, and Primrose would be one of the only people who could coax a genuine laugh out of Greta.
Sebastian White — I think Primrose might have been one of Sebastian’s only friends before the VKs come to Auradon, and they would have a ton of fun pulling harmless little pranks together.
FOR VICTORIA:
Theo Ester — Theo kind of develops a protective uncle-nephew relationship with Peter as he gets to know the Avengers better, so I could definitely see him bonding with Victoria too and feeling protective over her.
Dev Kahtri — Dev would absolutely love Victoria, I think, and the two of them could bond over being in love with superheroes who always insist on stressing them out by throwing themselves into danger (and if she ever needs help with English homework, Dev is more than happy to provide).
FOR KIT:
Dev Kahtri — given that Dev has worked directly with Kit’s brother once or twice, I definitely think they would have had some time to get to know each other, and that Dev would be a little bit protective over Kit like another older brother would.
Theo Ester — Theo tends to get a little nervous around Clint, finding him loud and a bit too snappy at times, but he’d probably be more comfortable around Kit, becoming genuine friends with him and even getting comfortable enough to talk about their respective boyfriends with him eventually.
Helios — if Kit ever meets the Eternals, I get the feeling he and Helios would get along pretty well, and Helios would do his best to protect Kit from Kingo’s constant teasing and Thena’s constant dead-eyed looks.
FOR MAYA:
Parker Holloway — I mean, Parker’s dating Maya’s brother, they would definitely get to know each other! And I’m sure Parker would really like Maya, definitely calls her the better sibling just to get a rise out of Puck.
Bruno Keeley — I’m sure Bruno and Maya would make for an expected but really nice friendship! I can definitely see them doing some fun duets.
Bailey Taylor — they’re both girls with an appreciation for cute style, so I’m sure they’d be great friends! Bailey doesn’t have a lot of love for Maya’s brother at first, but she’d definitely love Maya, and probably warm up to Puck a bit quicker because of their friendship.
send me one or more of your ocs and i’ll tell you which of mine i think would work best for a crossover!!

I Get a Sugar Rush Whenever I’m With You - Chapter 3.1
Good evening fellow Drukkari stans, or whatever time it is for you! It's the beginning of a new chapter! If you missed the last installment, you can catch up here, or start over from the beginning here. Last week saw one beloved competitor leave, but new surprises and more guest characters lie ahead. So without further ado, here is the next installment of Drukkari in the Great British Bake Off!
Tumblr media
Without someone to actively investigate, Makkari hadn’t texted quite as frequently that week. Druig thought about pestering her like he did the previous week, but he didn’t have a built-in excuse this time. She hadn’t brought up the train ride, namely the part where she fell asleep on his shoulder. Frankly, he was surprised that the pounding of his heart hadn’t woken her up. Instead, Makkari had slept until they were just pulling into the station, so she hadn’t said anything about it upon waking either. He was very tempted to ask her about it, but it felt weird to bring it up.
She didn’t bring it up when they saw each other again either. As per usual, they met outside the hotel the morning of the third week. Makkari greeted him with a smile, which he gladly returned. She was talking to Ajak and Karun, who had both been practicing their signing. At his approach, they both called out, “Good morning!”
“G’morning,” he responded.
Are you ready for Bread Week? Makkari asked.
“Not in the slightest,” he replied.
“Druig, haven’t you been practicing?” Ajak scolded.
“I have practiced, but bread is not my strong suit.”
“Mine either,” added Karun.
Hey, stay positive! Or else you’ll jinx it, and we don’t need our group losing another member, Makkari said. The group fell silent at this as their minds all went to Kingo. Ajak was the first to break it.
“I miss him too. Sadly, we are going to lose people every week. But that just means we need to enjoy the time we have together,” she said. Karun voiced his agreement, and Makkari smiled. “Besides,” she continued, “we can always add new members to our group.”
As if right on cue, Sersi emerged from the lobby, late as always. She smiled and waved as she approached the group, and they greeted their newest member warmly.
-
Nothing could’ve prepared the competitors for the surprise that awaited them at their destination. Upon getting off the shuttle, Makkari looked around for her new interpreter and was overjoyed to see a familiar face. Ajak and Sersi were both gobsmacked. Karun chuckled in delight. Druig let out a whoop.
Makkari ran over to Kingo, and the two were jumping up and down like excited five-year-olds as the rest of the group joined them. At their approach, he was hit with a barrage of questions.
What are you doing here? Makkari asked.
“Are you un-eliminated?” Ajak chimed in.
“Who did you lock in a closet to get back in?” Druig added.
Kingo waved these off, saying, “Good to see you all, too. I’m not back as a contestant. I heard someone needed a new interpreter, so I offered my services!”
“Is that even allowed?” Sersi asked.
“Technically, there’s no hard rule against it. I still had to pull a few strings, but he made a convincing argument for himself,” Darcy explained, walking over to the happy reunion. “You obviously have a rapport already, plus he was already committed to the full filming schedule.”
So you’re here for the rest of the competition?
“Yup! I’m here as long as you are,” Kingo responded. “Although, I won’t be able to host dinner anymore. Since they book the rooms way in advance, they had to put me up at a neighboring hotel. But I have the same lunch break as you, so we can still eat together!”
They celebrated for a moment before Darcy cut in again. “As sweet as this whole thing is, I do need to get you all to the tent, so…”
The group headed to the first challenge with wide grins on all of their faces.
-
Unfortunately, the happy mood didn’t stick around for too long. Druig was already nervous about bread week, and based on the episodes he rewatched, it seemed previous contestants weren’t exaggerating about how difficult it could be. He’d practiced his chocolate orange cinnamon roll recipe diligently, but he still struggled to get it done in time, and the day of the challenge was no different. He barely managed to get the icing on before they called time. Honestly, he was still in a bit of a daze when the judges came to taste test. This continued through interviews and even partly into lunch. He didn’t fully snap out of it until Makkari sat down next to him and pushed her own plate of cinnamon rolls toward him.
Eat, was all she said. Druig obliged, tucking into a strawberries and cream roll. He closed his eyes, the sweet fruit piercing through the fog of his mind. Delicious, he signed as he opened his eyes. The judges said they were underproved and overkneaded, she began. Makkari, these are the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had, he said, not even waiting for her to finish her sentence. Really? she asked. Really, he confirmed. At least someone thinks so, she said, a smile finally breaking through her serious expression.
Druig was so mesmerized that he didn’t notice Sersi and Kingo approaching the table until Kingo proudly set a plate down. He had managed to scramble up samples of everyone else’s bakes and presented them by saying, “I didn’t have to make any of these!”
How do you like being a crew member? Makkari asked.
“While part of me does miss the rush of adding too much fruit to every recipe and trying to get everything baked in time, I’m also glad I don’t have to face Arishem’s judgment during bread week!” he replied, going into a whisper-shout at the mention of the dreaded judge.
“Tell me about it! Every time he looks at me, I feel like I’m frozen in place,” Sersi interjected.
“It’s the cold, dead eyes,” Druig chimed in.
I think he’s secretly a gorgon, Makkari added, which gave the rest of the table a good chuckle. As the laughter died down, another figure hesitantly approached the table.
“Uh… hi, Sersi,” Dane managed to get out, as he stood by the table, awkwardly holding his plate.
“Hey, Dane!” Sersi said cheerfully, seemingly unaware of his discomfort.
Before the maladroit atmosphere could spread, Makkari jumped in, saying, You should sit with us!
“Oh, I didn’t mean to butt in,” he tried to reply.
“Nonsense! Any friend of Sersi’s is welcome to join us!” Kingo asserted.
“Pull up a chair,” Druig added. A mixture of relief and surprise washed over Dane’s face as he set his plate down next to Sersi’s. When Ajak and Karun joined them soon after, they gave Dane a knowing look but greeted him like he’d always been part of the group.
-
While I knew Kingo wouldn't last long, I also couldn't kick him out completely, so he'll be along for the ride! Also, yes, Arishem is officially replacing Paul Hollywood because I couldn't resist making Arishem the Judge the actual judge of the competition 😁 Anyway, hope you enjoyed this installment! Likes, comments, and reblogs would be much appreciated!

Hello!
Read the prompt with the teacher request wich was pretty similar to your amazing fic „A running Leap“ and wanted to ask if you still would do the prompt request but like a special prompt to your fic? Like a bonus chapter?
I hope you can understand how I mean it, I’m sorry English is not my native language! :)
The idea sounds pretty fun but if you don’t want to do it it’s alright too!
"They're really goin' at it," Druig noted as he joined his wife on the bleachers.
It was the beginning of the season, and as usual, the team captains were demonstrating some basics before the first game between the boys and girls volleyball teams began. It was a friendly competition, meant to be a teaching moment and help inspire the kids.
Supposed to be friendly, at least.
"Mine went farther!"
"You had a better angle!"
"Yeah, because I can jump higher than you!"
The familiar squabbling of the two team captains filled the gym, even with the teams warming up around them.
"Kids, please," Kingo sighed, holding a hand out between his own captain and the captain of the girls' team. "Is this not about the children?"
"No, it's about Ikaris eating his words about being able to beat every single person here," Thena growled back, obviously having taken the statement personally.
"Just a fact, T," he grinned at his fellow history teacher (and friend, despite what they both would say about that). "I'm the strongest of us, the fastest-"
"Thena's faster," Sersi informed him without an ounce of remorse. "And obviously Makkari is faster than all of us."
She was the gym teacher and track and field coach, as well as cross-country coach.
"Okay, fine," Ikaris shrugged, "but I'm stronger than everyone here, including Gil."
All eyes went to Thena. It was no secret that she and Gil were inseparable. And surely the overly-competitive teacher would not take any remark about him lying down. "What?"
"I said," Ikaris repeated, even grinning as Gil came into the gym, "I'm stronger than Gil, and I bet I can prove it."
The newly arrived English teacher just laughed, though. "He's been saying that since college."
They had even been on their college volleyball team together, after all. It was how Ikaris had met Sersi.
"Sersi," Thena handed over the ball she had been practising her serves with earlier, "do you have a life insurance policy on him?"
"Okay, okay, easy there, T," Kingo attempted to calm the blonde firecracker. He looked at Ikaris with a snort, "there's no way you're stronger than Gil."
"What?" Ikaris balked at his friend's disbelief in him.
"Look at him!" Kingo pointed freely, making poor Gil blush.
"Stop it," Thena smacked Kingo's hand out of the air. "He's right, though, Gil could beat you any day of the week."
"Well," he murmured, wandering over to them as Thena jumped to his defense. "I don't know about that."
"Yeah," Ikaris chuckled, looking over Thena's head at Gil (much to the blonde's frustration). "Maybe all those muscles are just for show."
"Thena, really, I don't care," Gil attempted to soothe her temper, which he knew was probably just about at a boiling point now. He put a hand on her shoulder, "he's always like this."
"His muscles are not just for show!" Thena argued in Ikaris' face, grabbing a handful just to illustrate her point. "I bet he could blow any serve of yours out of the water."
Gil's blush had only gotten worse as Thena gripped his bicep. Although, his friends noticed, he was no longer arguing his way out of it.
"Oh, really?" Ikaris growled right back in his fellow coach's face. It was one thing to argue like they always did. It was another thing entirely to drag their beloved volleyball into things. "What are you willing to bet?"
"Gil is going to win," Thena proclaimed, still holding onto Gil, "so ask whatever you want."
Ikaris crossed his arms at her, "you do my bus duty for all of december."
"Deal."
"Thena, are you sure?" Gil asked with a frown, mostly because he hated the thought of her out in the cold any more than necessary. As if he wouldn't be out there with her, offering her hot chai lattes everyday.
But Thena yanked his face down closer to hers by the arm. She had that look in her eye, and nothing was going to stop her now, "you can do this, Gil."
The two coaches walked to the end line, glaring at each other all the while. Gil sighed, unbuttoning his vest and handing it to a grinning Sersi, "I guess I can do this?"
Sersi just winked at her old friend, "y'know, I'm sure Thena would be extra impressed if you showed off a little. Just...as a side note."
Gil blushed, but he was already doing this on a silly whim. He was already letting himself get dragged into this little competition, and why?
Oh, right, because Thena had grabbed onto his arm and looked at him with those eyes of hers.
It was the same reason he would stand out in the cold with her to watch kids get off buses and bring her chai lattes in the morning. It was a reason everyone but Thena was aware of.
"Kingo, you better measure impartially!" Thena yelled down the court at him.
"I'm watching, I'm watching!" he yelled back, although they all knew he had the best eyes for the job.
Ikaris freely elbowed Thena out of his way as he tossed up the ball and took a running leap. He really did have decent form for it, hitting the ball so hard it was basically a spike.
"Man, Coach Ikaris is so cool!"
"Coach Thena can spike better than that!"
"No way!"
"What's Mister G doing playing volleyball?"
"Not bad!" Kingo waved from where Ikaris' ball had hit just on the side line.
"That's borderline out," Thena declared needlessly (just to piss of Ikaris). Sersi was already dragging him back with her when Thena handed Gil the ball.
"You know, jump serves were never a specialty of mine," he admitted sheepishly with all his nerves showing.
"You'll be fine," she smiled at him, letting her hand brush over his arm gently as she stepped out of his way. She kept her eyes on him as bounced the ball a few times. He always wore a vest to teach; it was rare to see him in just a t-shirt.
Gil tossed the ball up, his back muscles moving under the tightness of his shirt. He ran up to the line and jumped, curling back to let his dorsal muscles pick up some slack. He had beautiful form.
Thena stared as his arms flexed before hitting the ball. Even just his palm meeting the ball was loud, and it rocketed to the other side of the court with the sound of canon fire. It even bounced off the back wall hard enough to come back to their side of the net.
Gil sighed, stretching out his back and arms after the first serve he'd made in more than a decade. "Man, that rust is real."
"Gil that was insane!" Kingo laughed, rushing back over to them.
"Measure the dam thing!" Ikaris complained at his assistant coach.
"Oh, he blew you away," Kingo patted his buddy's shoulder without a hint of remorse, already poking Gil in the arm. "You, though!--where've you been hiding skills like this? Why aren't you the assistant coach instead of me?"
Gil shrugged sheepishly, though, "I've coached before, but I don't really know if it's for me."
"I shouldn't be surprised, I mean," Kingo shook his head, holding up Gil's arm, "look at the gun show, here!"
Sersi bumped her hip against Thena's, "you seem to be way ahead of him on that."
"Stop it," Thena grumbled at her, although her eyes inevitably drifted to Gil as Kingo poked and prodded at those arms of his. "Everyone knows Gil is strong. It's no...it's no...no..."
Sersi raised a brow at Thena's uncharacteristic mumbling. But then she looked over.
Gil pulled up the bottom of his shirt, swiping off his forehead with it.
Thena turned around completely, blushing red at the sight of Gil's unclothed torso, a perfect mix of muscle and fat, tapering down to plump hips. She had even caught a hint of dark hair leading down from his bellybutton.
Sersi rolled her eyes at her poor, flustered coach. "You started this."
"Shut up," Thena grumbled, toying with the whistle around her neck in nervous habit. She turned, hoping her smile seemed natural, "I knew you could win!"
"Oh," Gil blinked at her enthusiasm, tugging his shirt down again with a shy smile, "thanks for the faith in me. And now you don't have to do bus duty in december!"
"What?!" Ikaris squawked.
"That was the deal," Sersi patted her husband's shoulders.
"That was if I won!"
"And Gil did, so he gets to decide," Thena stood resolute, offering Gil a towel (because her silly little heart couldn't take him flashing his happy trail again).
They all knew what the verdict would be: Gil wouldn't ask Ikaris to cover his own duties, but he would have him cover Thena's.

Hi! For the "choose violence" meme:
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...?
Hi!
For 16, I generally understand why people like a thing, even if it doesn't resonate with me at all. Like alpha/beta/omega: I can see the appeal of the weird sex, maximum drama, worldbuilding, and exploring toxic gender roles/dynamics in the safe world of fiction, even if this particular trope doesn't do much for me.
That being said, I don't get Irondad at all. Peter and Tony's relationship is pretty interesting in canon. I've always thought that Tony's treatment of Peter probably has a lot of echos of his relationships with his own father figures. The CACW recruitment scene has shades of Obie's friendly, manipulative negging, and Homecoming has obvious parallels to Howard - distant and dismissive, with most of the day to day pawned off on an employee, but it's obvious to the audience, though not Peter, that Tony cares a great deal but lacks any emotional tools to express that.
But most of the Irondad content I've seen ignores that and stuffs Tony and Peter into the most generic father/son cliches. As someone who prefers canon to fanon most of the time, this sort of "OC with a canon name" type stuff never really computes.
For 18, Eternals. I loved Eternals. I loved everyone in Eternals. Sersi, Kingo, Karun, Gilgamesh, Thena my beloveds. I'm always a sucker for adventure, putting the band back together, complicated relationships between people who love each other, and kind and sincere heroes, and Eternals has all of that.
Several people have told me that it's the one MCU film they can't finish, while for me it's the only Phase 4 movie I can watch on repeat.
Thanks so much for the ask!

Soooo I'm already in love with Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani's character in the eternals) based on the like 4 shots in the trailer and here's something interesting I read about that everyone may or may not already know
So Kingo Sunen in the comics is culturally Japanese - that is to say he's lived in Japan since the 16th century or before. Some Eternals apparently had a settlement there but a big part of his character is that he actually integrated with the humans and their culture. When the majority of Eternals left Earth he chose to stay with the humans. He learned the ways of the Samurai and prefers using those skills over the natural abilities that basically all Eternals possess.
So it looks like in the movie they swapped out Japan for (India I think?) and yeah I guess Kingo is their tie to the people there. And that's why there's all the beautiful dancing and colors and architecture in the trailers bc it's his home and the rest of the Eternals are presumably like family so in a way it's their home too and I just thought that was really cool. Idk if any of this has a purpose but I thought it was interesting. Also sorry if any of this is inaccurate

THIS IS SO CUTE
I CAN'T
AWWW
Hello! Can you write some headcanons for Kingo x female (eternal) reader with electricity powers?
Not really relevant to my request but a fun scenerio I thought of while writing my request. When readers mad at kingo (cause he's on his phone and ignoring her) she will shock his phone so it dies instantly and he will just look at her like "😐😧😔"
I hope you have fun writing this and please take your time <33
Hotline Bling | Kingo | MCU
Tumblr media
In the beginning, when the rest of the eternals came down to Earth, (Y/N) felt useless with their power. Electricity flowed through her, although she didn’t have a name for it until years later.
Originally, her talents were offensive, but in a modern age she was so much more. She could stop the world’s inhabitants instantly by short-circuiting wires and subsequently freezing their currency, cutting their communications and their transports with a flick of her wrist. The world could be stopped in a matter of seconds and they didn’t even realise.
Phastos was the one who had suggested her powers could be used on such a broad spectrum, but not even he could predict the world’s reliance on their devices. Or even Kingo’s even.
He had been engrossed within his phone for the last hour. Something about one of his movies had popped up and he had been lost to the digital world, leaving (Y/N) behind.
“Hello?” (Y/N) said, snapping her fingers as she failed to get her husband’s attention. “Earth to Kingo??”
He only hummed, irritating (Y/N) further. With a quick glance for her, Kingo’s phone shut down and smoke came out of the charging port as the motherboard fried.
If only (Y/N) had her own phone to hand at the time to capture how Kingo’s face contorted from confusion to horror to absolute betrayal as he tried to work out what had happened.
“You broke my phone.” He winged, looking towards his wife, who was trying to keep a straight face at his reaction.
“You weren’t paying attention to me.”
“Yeah, because I was on my pho-“ he said, as he worked out why his phone had taken the blast of (Y/N)’s discontentment. “Oh. I see what you did there. You need to fix this.”
“No.”
“No? Because you want my attention?” Kingo moved towards the door, beckoning (Y//N) to follow before grabbing her hand and rushing out of the room.
(Y/N) smirked slightly as she finally got the attention she was after.

no listen everyone can shut the fuck up right now because we just got a superhero movie - nay, a MARVEL superhero movie - whose main cast of heroes included:
an openly gay chubby black man, who canonically has a husband and a family who were shown on screen
an Indian man
a deaf Afro-Latinx woman, and just about every other hero used American Sign Language at one point or another
a Mexican woman, who was introduced as the strong and compassionate leader of the group
a big strong Asian man who is seen as the greatest warrior of all time
a loving, kind Asian woman, who ended up being the most powerful hero of them all
a grief-stricken woman who isn’t written off as crazy or hysterical, but instead has her feelings validated and she is constantly working on herself
it is for this reason, and the actually really good special effects and cool story setup that Eternals SLAPPED and that is all thank you have a nice day

Sersi | Love and War
Tumblr media
part two : part three : part four : part five : part six
*•.¸♡Request : Hi can you do a series of the reader and sersi married in 1940’s and sersi leaves because the reader is mortal and goes to join the war with Steve. - reader does not know - Then the reader becomes a super soldier and is in the ice like Steve and sersi reaction to the reader death. The reader gets out of the ice and joins the avengers but never dates anybody else as they still love sersi. Then endgame happens and instead of Steve the reader goes back in time to see sersi only for her not to be there and spend all there life alone. When they in hospital suffering from dementia sersi come to visit the reader(like Peggy in civil war). The reader says how familiar sersi looks like and tells her how she went back in time to see sersi but she was not there. Sersi cries and the reader recognises her and they hugs for the last time and as she leaves the reader room . The reader dies and sersi pain because of that as people say captain something is dead.
*•.¸♡Prompt : none
*•.¸♡𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 : swearing, sexual implications

I tried to write as gender neutral as possible but because men were the only ones allowed to fight in the war it was kinda difficult

She was beautiful, a downright doll, the most perfect woman you had ever seen, she was an angel. Sliding next to her as she rested at the bar you called for the bartender. "Evening Larry can I get bourbon and a second of whatever the lady is having," You sweet-talked, looking over to the woman.
"A sweet talker yeah?" The lady asked straining on her bar stool.
"Anything for a doll like you," You said sweetly making the girl chuckle lightly. "Can I get a name dove?"
"Hmmm, maybe," The lady said taking the drink that was placed in front of her. "Gotta tell me yours first hun."
"Y/N," You spoke softly bringing the cold drink up to your lips.
"Sersi," She stated sweetly.
"Ah, so you're the one that inspired the Greek gods," You teased making Sersi blush.
"Oh I don't know about that," Sersi said nervously.
"Well, your absolutely stunning and you seem to be a very smart woman," You complemented noting the blush darkening against her cheeks. "So I say you are a goddess."
"You're very flirtatious," Sersi pointed out.
"In many a thing," You insisted. "If I may, I can show you."
-*TWO YEARS LATER*-
Sersi pressed a kiss to your forehead making you stir awake. "Mmm, good morning darling," Sersi cooed laying over your chest.
"Mornin' doll," You whispered. You took her face in your hands pulled her down to kiss you. "You're up early dove."
Sersi climbed off you, wearing your shirt from last night, it hung just above her knees. You rolled over to sit on the edge of the bed, sliding your hands up her legs. "I made breakfast," Sersi announced tapping her fingers on your shoulders.
"Hmmm, aren't you a peach," You teased. Sersi pulled you up and dragged you to the kitchen, setting you down at the counter. "So what did you want to do today doll?"
"Up to you, here, eggs and bacon," Sersi smiled. "And a coffee." You hummed kissing Sersi again.
"I love you, baby, you the best girl anyone could ask for," You complemented. Sersi sat next to you pulling her hot tea towards her.
"You should probably put a shirt on before we go anywhere," Sersi teased, indulging in her honey tea.
"Hm, maybe you shouldn't have stolen it," You nudged your shoulder against hers and she giggled at you. The knock at the door but you both stop and you dropped the cutlery on the counter. "I'll get it doll." You slid from your seat, walking over and pulling the door open. The mood dropped and so did your smile. "Morning Coronel."
"Morning lad, I'm terribly sorry," The Coronel handed over a piece of paper. "I'll see you in a few days." The man sadly smiled and you closed the door.
"Hun? What's wrong?" Sersi called rushing to your side. "Baby?"
"I um," You paused to run a hand down your cheek. "I've been drafted." Sersi's eyes widened in surprise and took the letter from your hand. Sersi took your hand and pulled you into her chest. "I have to."
"What if you didn't?" Sersi asked pulling your head up to look up at her. "What if we ran away?" You squinted up at her and stood up.
"Look I don't want to do this as much as you but," You paused to look around you. "If we leave we can never come back, our family would be seen as cowards." You walked over to Sersi, taking her face gently in your hands. "Sers, there's a war. I can't leave my boys out there on their own."
Sersi huffed turning away from you. "Sers, Sersi!"
You puffed sitting down on the couch rubbing your fingers against your temple. You read over the draft not again and sunk into the couch.
*•.¸♡¸.•*
"Hey, you good there?" Steve Rodgers asked sitting beside you as you read over the note in your hand. "From your gal?"
"She's not mine anymore," You said solemnly. Steve nodded with sad eyes patting your shoulder and walking to the door.
"Remember no drinking," Steve called. "We got a procedure tomorrow."
right. It had completely slipped your mind, the super-soldier serum. You were excited the first time you heard it.
You could win the war quicker and go back to Sersi, but the letter that was delivered to you that morning made you break. You looked at the not in your hand, reading over the last words again.
I can't be with someone who rushes in with no thought. You were my true love but I cant wait for someone who is going to die.
I love you Y/N, goodbye- Sersi.
You swallowed your tears leaning back into the bed, clutching the note in your hand, "Love you Sers."

I Get a Sugar Rush Whenever I’m With You - Chapter 3.2
Happy Monday or whatever day you're reading this, fellow Drukkari stans! Had a busy weekend, but I'm back with a new mini-chapter! If you missed the last one and need to catch up, you can do so here, or start over from the beginning here. We've arrived at bread week, which always seems to be a bit of a doozy. How will our beloved competitors fare? Find out now on the next installment of Drukkari in the Great British Bake Off!
Tumblr media
Much like lunch, the decision to invite Dane to dinner was unanimously passed. Well, except for Kingo, who claimed he’d be hosting a rival soirée, even if no one else attended. Ajak graciously agreed to host dinner, though her room was not the corner and was just as cramped as everyone else’s. While Ajak tried to keep everyone’s spirits up for their new guest, bread week was still weighing heavily on everyone’s minds. Druig had done alright in the signature, but the technical had been especially brutal. He was pretty sure he was in trouble this week. Makkari had fared only slightly better. Ajak and Sersi had done alright, and Dane wasn’t far behind. Poor Karun had come in last. A heavy atmosphere pervaded the ride back to the hotel and continued into dinner itself. After a solid ten minutes of minimal chatter, however, Ajak had had enough.
“Hey, what did I say this morning? We should enjoy the time we have together,” she said, signing where she could, which did draw a smile from Makkari.
“Sorry, Ajak. I think we just need to think of a subject other than baking to talk about tonight,” Sersi replied.
“Where’s Kingo when you need him?” Druig added, which drew a few chuckles.
I still can’t believe they actually brought him back! Makkari said, excitement partly restored.
“I guess I missed this earlier, but how is Kingo back?” Dane asked hesitantly.
“Oh, they needed another interpreter for Makkari, so Darcy got special permission to hire him,” Sersi explained.
“He’s at a different hotel now, which is why he couldn’t join us,” Ajak chimed in.
“It is nice to still have him around,” Karun piped up. “And it must be nice, getting to eat everything without the stress of having to make it first.”
“Speaking of stress, does anyone know if Thena is capable of feeling stress? She never seems to break a sweat, whatever the judges throw at her,” Sersi said.
“I think the judges are the ones sweating when they go to Thena’s station,” Druig interjected.
No kidding, Makkari agreed. Her gaze might overpower Arishem’s.
“I would not want to be on the receiving end of one of her glares,” Dane said. “I think she reserves it for the judges, though. She seems nice enough outside of that.”
“Really? Have you talked to her much?” Sersi asked.
“Well, no. But I always see her talking to Gilgamesh, and she seems quite friendly with him. I think they usually eat lunch together.”
At this, Makkari’s eyes lit up as she smirked mischievously. Next to her, Sersi had a similarly amused look.
“Makkari, what’s with the look?” Ajak asked in a mock-scolding tone.
Nothing, she replied nonchalantly. Just an interesting detail.
As Ajak rolled her eyes, Makkari gave Druig a quick wink. Druig smirked and signed, Another case, Sherlock? which made her smile.
“Hey, share with the group, Druig!” Ajak chastised. “We’re still learning!”
“Guess you’ll have to learn faster,” he replied, which made Makkari break out into her own smug smile. The rest of the table sighed in mock frustration.
“I’d suggest we hold a competition to see who can learn the most sign by next week, but I think Druig would have us all beat,” Sersi said.
“Hey, don’t let me stop you!”
Yeah, Druig and I can be judges while the rest of you can compete!
“A competition within a competition,” Karun mused out loud.
“And what does the winner get?” Dane asked.
The gift of my conversation, Makkari answered.
“A priceless gift indeed,” Druig commented. Makkari rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t keep the smile off her face either. The group readily agreed to participate.
-
As they were leaving Ajak’s room for the night, Druig noticed Makkari hanging back with the elder woman for a moment. Ajak may not have known much sign yet, but she did know the universal sign for “I’ve got my eyes on you.” Makkari gave her an innocent look as she stepped out into the hallway. As Ajak shut the door and the others headed back to their rooms, Druig asked, What was that about?
I don’t think Ajak approves of my snooping, Makkari replied. Even if she does enjoy listening to my findings.
Druig chuckled. So, you are planning to snoop on Thena and Gilgamesh?
Just a little! I don’t think Kingo’s ‘are you single’ ice breaker is going to work on them.
Fair point. He waited a moment before asking, Do all of your investigations pertain to matters of the heart, Detective Makkari?
She narrowed her eyes at this and asked in return, What are you trying to say about my sleuthing skills, Druig?
He raised his hands defensively before signed, Nothing, they are unparalleled. I’ve just noticed a… pattern starting to emerge.
She paused as she considered how to respond to his silent implication. Okay, I guess you could say I… have a healthy interest in other people’s love lives.
Druig put on a mocking smile as he replied, My dear detective, I did not take you for a romantic.
She punched him lightly in the arm, but she was already breaking into a smile. If I’m a romantic, then you’re one too.
Whatever gave you that impression? he asked, genuinely confused.
You’re my accomplice. Guilty by association. And no one else pesters me about it as much as you do, so you’re clearly just as invested as I am.
Druig felt his temperature start to climb as she sped past the actual reason he pestered her so much. He brushed it off with an exaggerated sigh as he said, Fine, you caught me. But no one else can know.
If you don’t tell, I won’t tell. She held his gaze in a moment that Druig wished he could stay in forever. But he had to give her an answer.
Deal.
She broke into a smile as she tilted her chin up at him. He mirrored her, with his own smile quickly taking over his face.
-
Detective Makkari returns, and she definitely ships Thenamesh! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this mini-chapter! The next one might take a bit longer because I have another busy weekend coming up, but hopefully, it won't be too delayed.

He may have been a but sketchy, but you couldn’t deny that he was a romantic. Traditional, too, insisted on a candlelit dinner with food he’d cooked himself—or claimed to have cooked. “So, dear, any thoughts you’d like to air out? Maybe a question or two? I may even answer it.” Haja refilled your glass with a flirtatious smirk taking over his face.
“Oh, where do I even begin?” You chuckled and took a gentle sip from your glass. “Where were you born?”
“Oh, that’s highly classified.” Haja shot back and your brows raised. “I’d rather share backstory on a third date at least.” You thought he was joking, but he was a bit set on the idea. “There will be a third date, right?”
“Depends on you, Haja. You really are a charmer, though.”

Sersi: Druig sleeps after us and is awake before us. Does he even sleep?
Kingo: I think he periodically makes a whirring noise and then just shuts down.
*Druig and Makkari walking by holding hands*
Druig: Shut the fuck up Kingo.
Makkari*signing*: Love, I wonder that too.
Druig*sining*: You too my dear?
Kingo: Did you get that on camera Karun?
Karun: YES SIR!

Sure Eternals was dull, occasionally very boring, the Deviants looked weird and it killed pretty boy. But it pissed off homophobes, white people and got banned in shitty countries.
So... good.
