Vanitas in the novels is not what I expected....

I saw someone BBS sections online and it was just the Vanitas sections and it was worse than I thought.

I knew everytime you hurt or kill Unversed, Vanitas feels pain. That I knew and was sad. I knew the novels had more added extra details about that, BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT HIM TO BE SO SAD AND JUST WANTED TO STOP FEELING PAIN

That's why he looked so sad when Ventus defeated him. He only wanted to feel whole again so he wouldn't feel hurt or pain.

He was so miserable. He questioned his existence. He felt pain because he was separated. He hated looking at Ven, but when MX brought him to Eraqus he then started to missed him.

All the pain, sadness, nervous, and basically any emotions would create unversed. And he hated the sight of the Unversed as they also made him feel weak. When he destroyed them and it caused him to feel intense and physical pain. But it also made Vanitas feel slightly better because the Unversed being alive made him miserable. However the pain was so intense and it often made him create more Unversed because of it in an endless cycle.

He hated Ventus cause he got to live happily without feeling anything. He also reminded him of how weak he was because when they were one person he used to be weak and timid, but when separated Ven grew stronger due to Eraqus, Aqua, and Terra's influence. When Vanitas saw his other half, after Sora's heart touched both of theirs, he despised him and wanted to hurt him.

Vanitas actually didn't really want anything to do with MX but only helped him so it makes the pain go away. MX often told him the pain and hurting will make him stronger and to use those feelings. Vanitas only really went with him and wanted to forge the χ-blade and connect so he will stop hurting.

He just wanted to feel better and it's like really sad.

And MX often laughed at his pain or just watched , not doing a single thing.

Also sometimes MX would hurt and fight Vanitas to make him stronger and then disappear. And Vanitas would just be in the keyblade graveyard alone and hurt. Because of how alone he was and how much pain and all the sad feelings he got, he turned cold and a bit twisted. He didn't know nice things for himself, he only saw other people having this and it was never him.

It's just all so sad.

The parts that were just about his creation is just so 😔😔🥹💔

Like he still did all those things but it's understandable where he's coming from now. You feel bad for him now and NOW MORE THAN EVER he should get redeemed.

I already thought he should be redeemed because of how he was in his KH3 battle and he can stay as darkness if he wants but still be friends with them and maybe feel better.

GIVE HIM A HUG PLEASE he deserves it even if he bites

So, in this pic, it's supposed to show Sora still in the midst of showing off, and Riku and Kairi are supposed to be chuckling about it together even from the get-go (I swear Riku is smiling there, even though it might not look like it). And Goofy is pointing out that Sora is showing off (like he does in the above dialogue). And Donald is trying to "fly up" to be apart of the conversation (because that's the only way I could justify him being remotely as "tall" as everyone else is here). LOL.

Also, I forgot if at this point in the novel if Riku had his look back yet or not. I don't think so, so I compromised by using the scene where he just got his appearance back from the game and making my manip of him from that. Because, I mean, who really wanted Riku in the guise of Ansem for this image, anyway? Even if it is technically canon in this moment. Shh.

Sometimes I feel the need of translating all the Kingdom Hearts novels into spanish.

Many spanish-speaking fans who don't know english are unaware of their existence and even those who know about them don't read them cuz they're only in english and japanese.

Yeah, there are some translations around, but they are incomplete and the ppl who translated them abandoned the project long ago.

So, yeah... I want to translate them, but lack of time always pulls me back.

dogshit timeline: khux and dark road are removed from all app stores AND square copyright strikes those who upload the cutscenes on youtube

shit timeline: ux and dr are removed from all app stores, but unofficial youtube uploads are still intact

bad timeline: still unplayable, but the cutscenes are put on the official kh youtube (the fandub remains superior)

whatever timeline: games are restored to app stores in single-player format, all returns to how it once was

decent timeline: original cutscenes are included as movies in future game packages, similar to days and re:coded

good timeline: decent timeline but they get official dubs

great timeline: cgi cutscene movie remakes (the full days treatment, back cover tie-in)

best timeline: playable remakes of the single player campaigns (like CoM) that are actually fun to play, giving them the main-line installment that they deserve

ultimate timeline: said main line installments somehow tie to kairi and aqua training in scala ad caelum and/or ventus lauriam and elrena, further connecting them to the current narrative

probable timeline: chirithy storybook recaps in the next game that 6 people watch and they make no sense

Love this scene in the game because it's so sad but in the novel it has more Soriku through description words

things from kh novels that imply that the first 6 members of the Organization had meetings together that excluded everyone else and remained an extremely tight-knit inner circle all the way until half of them were killed off in Castle Oblivion (the first excerpt is either during or just before kh1, the second is on Day 7 of Days)

*oh yeah ALSO the thing Xigbar is talking about is "a very important time for the organization" and something about the world moving, and the gang talks about Sora in the second one... the kind of stuff they all talk about in those kh2 interludes with everyone invited

I remember when I used to read a lot of SoKai fanfiction in the 2006 era, a lot of people would write Sora with the dialogue, "Say, (someone or another)," even though he only ever said that once. LOL. But at least with the novel here, we can now argue that he's said the "Say, Kairi" thing twice.
