So when I first saw Fionna was working in ‘Queenie Bus Tours’ I was assuming this was build-up to the Mundane AU Ice Queen being her mean boss lady. So for me it was hilarious to find out that Fionna’s mean boss lady is actually the Queen of Ooo

and Ice Queen is just a harmless wholesome Ice Cream Woman.

I cannot BELIEVE these episodes aired in 2015. which means they were probably written in 2014. had I not known that, I would've thought it was the most blatant, on-the-nose commentary of donald trump. but no, this show was just like that.

My political take in this whole "the planet is turning into fascist goverments" era of humanity is that lot of people didn't watch the episode The King of Ooo from Adventure Times, because it explains pretty well what is going on. Like the more traditional good parties are getting out of touch with the electorade and so this funny little guy who has no idea of how to run a country shows up, he pretends to care for people and democracy while in reality he just want power and to steal all the money that he can from the people. So he is chosen and then he does what he told everybody he was going to do, he kicks the poor on the floor, puts everyone who doesn't agree with him in jail and plays the victim everytime that somebody critizes him. But well at least the evil woman who gave everyone human rights and houses isn't in power because evil funny dude told everyone how insane she is. Anyway this is a whole season of Adventure Time and at the end PB punches this guy to death.

Adventure Time Title Card Appreciation Post

One thing I absolutely love about Adventure Time is that apparently you can just self-identify as royalty and people just roll with it. Like the Ice King shaves and calls himself the Nice King and nearly every princess in Ooo just accepts that and throws themselves at him no questions asked. The King of Ooo is just some scam artist who dresses fancy enough to convince people he's legit enough that Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig almost join his cult just to be married by him.

I bet if Banana Man started wearing a crown and calling himself Princess Banana he'd have a following in under a week.

This Adventure Time storyline where PB the competent and qualified leader who believes in science and materially makes the world better gets voted out and replaced by an incompetent egomaniacal conman with no principles and nobody's interests at heart but his own solely because he knows how to prey on the fears of gullible, simple minded people and tell them whatever they want to hear came out a year before Trump was elected. The writers probably thought this was funny at the time. It's sure not funny anymore.
