Where it all began again- A oneshot for the Vampire Apartment au
It was sudden.
All five of them had awoke in the middle of a clearing in the forest, almost as if they hadn't had been staked in the first place. Finding their footing, they began to question why something felt different, both about the world they stepped into and about themselves.
"Something tastes different about this place. I don't like it." Hierophant snarled, ears twitching in anticipation. It was almost as if 1000 years had gone by, nature reclaiming what it could, or some kind of....
Wait...had it really been that long? Were they gone for 1000 years? It may have seemed little to them, but they had no idea just how much had changed since.
"I got both of my teeth again!" The Fool explained, giddy at the sight of it; until The Vampire King had French kissed it out of him. So much for that.
"Well now that we're back we might as well get back to eating, I can’t wait to bite into a living thing and feel it squirm in my teeth.” Hierophant rambled.
“I say we rebuild the hive. It’s about time I get a taste of the good blood with the gold leaf flaked into it.” Empress scoffed. The Fool had floated there by his king, thinking for what might have been the first actual time, when he got an idea.
“Hear me out! Really, hear me out this time.” He began, demanding everyone’s attention.
“What if we just took things slowly? Got a loft downtown, an apartment to chill in! We wouldn’t have to worry about ‘the hive’ or anything! Just us five!” Fool had announced, Moon nodding at the prospect of settling down instead and setting burning villages and murdering others for the fun of it on the side. Even the Vampire King had smirked at the thought of that.
Hierophant and Empress were more…picky, to say the very least.
“Do you hear what you’re saying!? We can’t just abandon the old ways, surely you can’t be serious you imbecile!” With that being shouted at the poor Fool, Moon had grabbed him by the claws and scolded him for behaving like a child having a tantrum, she was his older sister after all.
“please.”
“no.”
“please.”
“No, Moon!”
“Pleeeaaassssee.”
“FINE! FINE MOON! I’LL STAY WITH YOU AND PLAY YOUR LITTLE GAME!” Moon quietly giggled to herself as she won, her brother mumbling about having to deal with her nonsense.
Empress had looked away for a minute to ponder. It was either go out on her own and toy with that poor ice fool, or go with Moon and the others with the idea of living the life of…ugh, peasants.
Well, she supposed she could handle that. But just for Moon.
“Fine, I’ll go. But I’m still not giving up on hope for gold leaf flaked blood~” she held Moon’s hand as Fool led the way on their journey to find their new home, his little idea hatched and on its way to succeeding.
The Vampire King had pulled The Fool aside on their way, contemplating for most of their journey to find some apartment to live in and eat the landlord.
“I must console with Marceline. I don’t know why but I feel something different, something new coursing through my undead veins. She must be the reason we’re back. I must show that gratitude to her eventually, in any possible form.” He confronted in his close friend, Fool not paying attention but giving him a good pay on his back. At least he understood it was serious.
These five were inseparable no matter what. They had been brought together in undeath, and still will be with each other in rebirth.
Some old production art from Adventure Time storyboard artist Tom Herpich, including some never-seen-before plot details and designs from one of the abandoned movie projects!
The movie would have featured three crash-landed aliens who trick Finn into thinking they’re gods and make him their servant.
okay so something horribly sus happened between these two and Im not going on pure conjecture
marcy's anger at the empress was soooo much more visceral compared to her anger at heirophant or the moon, and she dropped her fight with the vamp king to full fly to simon
also her immediate reaction when she sees simon in close proximity to the empress is to rush over (blowing her cover) to make sure that hes okay
