Thomas can talk to dogs. Most dogs don't have much to say, as they don't have human intelligence. But occasionally there are dogs that can communicate with him on a near-human level. He knows he shouldn't keep getting more dogs, but he also knows the dogs that he can talk to won't be happy with owners that can't understand them, so what other choice does he have?

So he has six dogs. Six that he's found that have near human intelligence. Obviously the sides. Roman and Remus are border collies. Janus is a pug. Patton is a pittbull. Logan is a teacup poodle. Virgil is a German shepherd.

He's at the vet, in the waiting room. Someone else is there and he notices that this person is talking to his cats as if they can understand him. And the crazy thing is... It looks like the cats can. They're reacting to what he's saying.

They start talking and Nico introduced him to his four cats, Remy, Emile, Anton, and Homer.

Etc etc kiss kiss fall in love and so on.
