this got kind of long & out of hand im sorry i just like gushing about this girl (+ i have to air out my thoughts on her skins. i have opinions on literally everyone's outfits)

sadly ashrah doesn't have many costumes to choose from because she's only been in 3 games 💔 oh well though

i think my #1 look for her has to be her mk1 union of light skin:

like it's probably one of the prettiest skins in the entire game. insanity. it's so elegant/beautiful and her hairstyle is really cute, i like how it frames her face. in a way it kinda reminds me of her original design but updated to have more detail. the flowers are so pretty and ugjhghgljgkljg idk what else to say i just love this skin so much

that said i don't dislike any of her outfits, they're all great!

the only one that i actually think needs some help is her ood skin; it looks fine at first glance but the more you stare at it's just. hmmm. this could've marinated a bit longer

there's also the issue that this doesn't feel like an Evil Version of ashrah, which i think is a problem when the whole point of the ood skins is that they're supposed to be darker versions of the mk1 cast. but i digress

also if i may say something controversial..... i don't dislike ashrah's classic mkd/mka looks, i love them! BUT:

now that we've got a game where ashrah has distinct demonic features, i wish they did that for her older appearances. because as much as i love her deception skin and want them to remake it in mk1 (please @ nrs we need another skin for ashrah), she just looks like some lady? if that makes sense? like,,,, i would see deception ashrah in the grocery store and pay her zero mind:

i guess before mk1 the other demons also just looked like regular humans but idk... some facial markings similar to the ones sareena had would've at least been nice. they've got the kanji on her hat translating to "demon/ghost" and that's it.

and i know that's sort of the point, that she's supposed to look like a normal human upon first glance, but idk man! she wasn't done with her absolution yet, midway should've let her look a little strange 😭😭 there's some people who want her to have a normal human face if/when nrs gives us deception ashrah as a skin, but i'd rather they keep her demonic features

on the topic of mk1: i love the contrast here on her mk1 default between ashrah's clothing — clearly inspired by angels — versus her actual appearance. it's really smart and imo reflects how much she tries to distance from her origins as a demon. it really sells the idea of her being an ascending demon & i hope everyone that makes fun of her hairline + face steps on a lego

when the banished trailer first revealed ashrah some people were sad she didn't have her hat, but tbh???? i feel like her mk1 default is fine without one. it would've been nice and probably helped older fans recognize her but i'm not sure if this outfit needs a hat. yknow.

the only other ashrah outfits to talk about (because again she has SO little it's criminal) is the ones from mkd concept art that didn't make the cut:

i have no strong opinions about either of these, they're here i guess. the first one is cool, i like the idea of ashrah with super long hair and she reminds me of a jedi there lmao. the second one is also okay but something about ashrah with a mask feels weird so i'm glad they didn't go with it

speaking of concept art CAN NRS SHOW US THE CONCEPT ART FOR THE MK1 DEFAULTS because i really want to know the early ideas they had for ashrah. we get the final character concepts for everyone which is fine but i desperately want to see the initial ideas they had. i hope they get added to the shrine in the future 🥲

God Catty is so pretty I love her and she's literally gonna be a day one snag for me. Number 1. Best girl.

I ALMOST love core refresh Frankie, I love her design but the leak before they added all that magenta was soooooooo much better. Like pink can look great on Frankie but they literally splashed SUCH an intense pink. I do really like the doll tho, maybe I could reroot her and figure something out for the pink tank top...

Refresh Cleo is so cute!! Her original outfit was good but this kinda feels more... Glam? There's also just something I love about the look of that sheer belt thing over the skirt.

LAGOONA REFRESH YES FINALLY. I kinda wish her hair wasn't just blonde, but I can see how that might put things out of balance. She's so punky and cool looking! Lagoona is a girlie that I've wanted to like so bad because she's so cool in theory, but I never vibed with the outfits they put her in (aside from spa day but tbh that's because it was so simple). With this they're cooking so hard omg.

Monster Fest Frankie isn't quite my cup of tea, there's a LOT I love but the way they used the neons is a bit much for me.

Monster Fest Cleo is looking super good! I'm not sure I'll get her, this one doesn't stand out too much, but it's definitely a good Cleo.

Awwwe she's so cute!! I love the moons, the purple, the fluff! I haven't really found a g3 Clawdeen that speaks to me (Monster Ball came close) but I think she's gonna do it! Finally, I feel so bad having everyone but Clawdeen lol

Lagoona eating it up again! The prototype had some details I preferred (I swear the prototypes always have darker colors that get changed to pink or something) but those are so minor compared to the whole package here. I REALLY love this Lagoona!!!

You mentioned Miko's mom. Tell me more. What is she like? How is their relationship? How did she come to adopt him? Tell me all about her!

Hmm what can I say about miko's adopted mom. She's a hyur, mother of two (three with miko), married to a farmer. She's the classic farmers wife lol excellent cook and home maker and pro at keeping her crazy kids in line. And her son may be the wol but she has a skillet and she's not afraid to use it lol she's definitely the one who had the final say in keeping miko. She's basically that meme of "I've only had miko for a day but if anything were to happen to him I would kill everyone in this room including myself" lol she just really loves her smol miqo'te son.

His family adopted him when he was very young (still not 100% on his exact age cuz what even are ages in xiv but he was at least younger than 10) it was right after his village had been razed and he had been alone wandering around in the woods at night in the cold cuz it was the dead of winter and snowing. He took refuge in their barn and they noticed him sneaking in there and just kinda kept him lol I could go into deeper detail on all that but I won't do that here or risk putting a whole fanfic in this answer lol but miko was immediately very loved by her and her husband and their kids. She reminded him a lot of his real mom with just how warm and caring she was that it helped sort of ease the pain and fill the void of losing his real mom so recently. She also has a family history in music so she had a lot of instruments miko had never even heard or seen before. Miko's real mom could sing but she never played instruments so that was something new and exciting for him that his new mom could teach him.

Which just a little snippet of info on his real mom since sometimes I mention her but don't specify which mom im talking about and this seems like a good spot to talk a little about her too lol. But basically miko was super close to his real mom. He was basically the only little boy in his village at the time and had the echo so the other kids thought he was wierd so he was lonely a lot. But his mom would bring him along when she'd gather herbs and theyd pick flowers and he'd always try to find some feathers so when theyd come back home to the village she could braid them into his hair. She was very good at singing so theyd sing together or she'd sing him lots of lullabies. She was just very strong and loving and beautiful and kept him from getting too disheartened by the other kids.

But as for miko's relationship with his adopted mom now its very good! She worries about him a lot with the whole being the wol thing but he writes to her and tells her all about his adventures when he can. Most of his letters he sends home are addressed to her, always assuming she'll read them to the rest of the family anyway lol but he does try to omit the more darker parts of his journey but a mother always knows. She misses him a lot tho and does sometimes wish he had stayed to work on the farm instead of running off to be an adventurer or that he was able to visit more often but she's very proud of him for all he's done regardless. She is just one tough lady tho for having raised her own kids AND a hyperactive teenaged miqo'te boy lol tbh she, and the family of course, are most likely the reason miko managed to grow up still being good, compassionate, and silly instead of becoming cold with revenge in his heart for what he had lost as a child. So honestly she did a pretty good job raising the boy I think 👍

I just had a dream that really fucked me up when I woke up cause it was so vivid that I thought it happened last night. And honestly it could have been a plot to a low budget movie but like I swear I lived it.

I was at a friend's wedding, they wore a half tux with shorts and the wedding was at a really busy venue. During the first dance, some guy next to me rudely shouted across to someone if he could dance with them. She told him in response "read the room asshat, it's a ladies choice dance" and she slightly tapped my arm. Less of a tap, and more of a soft grab, the kind of where you don't want to startle someone but you do want their attention.

Keep in mind she came from across the room. She was in the bridal party, from what I recall maybe about 5'7" wearing a pink, sparkly hat that said pink pony club. It didn't seem quite her style. She also wore a half tux.

Pink jacket, white button down black tie, black shorts.

I hadn't noticed her til I heard her reply to the mr. rude (cause who invited him to this very queer wedding if he's going to act like an out of place frat boy??!) and felt her hand on my arm.

She really made a special effort to come to me and I don't know what it was that made her seek me out but I had no complaints when I finally saw her. I don't remember her name, but I know her last name was hyphenated. I saw it on her place card at some point in the dream..

"Hey do you want to dance?" She asked me in the softest voice. It's like every thing around me left the room. Then my brain rubber banded. I yelled back" right now?" True to my own personality, this beautiful woman froze my brain and I wasn't thinking clearly, if at all. Her deep hazel eyes, just a few shades darker than her hair in the dance floor lighting was just so entrancing. I really couldn't look away. She got closer to me while anticipating my reply and I was hooked on her. Once again it was still the first dance of the new couple and honestly once I saw her I didn't want to look away. I sheepishly shook my head yes as a goofy grin painted itself across my face. Even now as Im writing this, I kinda wish I stayed asleep.

I was incredibly enamoured at this point, also dream drunk(?), so I went to the bathroom where I saw this person being harassed in the hall. They were a masc presenting non binary person trying to enter the restroom. It was one of those weird rest-stop-looking places where there really isn't a separation between the rooms, just a hallway with openings on either side. They were being harassed by these 2 men when I were berating them with insults and tbh they probably could have held their own but I still intervened. As I was heading back to the venue room, I was met by the mystery girl who had seen my act of heroics, and honestly I was just yelling and threatening them back in the most primal and erratic way I could to simply scare them off.

She commended my bravery and asked if I wanted to take a walk. I don't think we got to dance.

I guess this next part was almost a fast forward cause we were outside walking down a city street, different clothes and all (although that pink pony hat was super cute on her), just chatting. Maybe a first date/hangout? She told me about herself, how she ended up here and jeez, I could listen to her all day. I craved the attention she gave me. It was hard to describe it but even as she was talking, she made every effort to notice me. I hung on to every word that left her lips. Her voice, her stories, her conversation was my new favorite song on repeat for days.

She told me how she started a business and how she moved away from her family, but has a new found family. I remember her business name was "huskies" and I didn't ask her why. She asked me about myself in which case I talked about parts of me but I didn't want her to stop talking. I needed her to talk more. There were points where we would stop walking during the conversations and she would caress my arm, shoulder, hand, with a slight curiosity that made me blush from head to toe starting wherever her hand was. Every time. At some point we were holding hands as we crossed the street to almost end the night and we got really close. Our foreheads touched, and she spoke as softly as she did when she asked me to dance, somehow softer. "I'm going to fall for you, huh?" I heard a half smile in her words with a bit of fear and a lot of confidence mixed in. "Not yet" I told her in an equally soft tone.

At that point I kissed her, hesitant and soft at first. Up to this point, she had taken all the lead. I'm always so unsure of myself when it comes to people and intimacy. This was what I wanted and when she grabbed me by the waist to pull me closer I was sure that she wanted this too.

Time felt irrelevant in that moment. Almost so still. It was passionate and intense. It felt real, almost a memory that hasn't happened yet. I swear I felt her kiss me. I swear her lips were on my neck at some point. I really felt her hands on me, I felt the heat from her body. I felt myself craving her, needing her, kissing her harder. I felt her breathing after forgetting to in-between kisses.

She was so real, she was there. She was tangible. I had her in my arms.

Then I woke up, and she wasn't anymore.

It felt like the kiss was her way of saying she knew I had to go, but she didn't want me to leave.

Finals went well! I think for once in my life they weren’t too horrible?! And I was above average for all of my exams?! Expect math but we already know about my relationship with math lol

You have no idea how much I missed you! I swear I would have popped in earlier but I was so busy on Friday/weekend😭 I had my final early in the morning and I went to my friend’s graduation ceremony.

I’ve always wanted to dye my hair a silver color yet I’ve never caved in,plus my parents were never really for it when I was younger lol they were more worried about my hair being damaged than I was when I was younger lol and I’ve NEVER had the desire to be blonde which is why every time I catch a glimpse of myself rn I get freaked out😭 I’m excited when the dye will arrive lol and yes I will update you on that lol

I’m pretty much the same too when it comes to my hair growth! I chopped it off in January (up towards my chin) and now it’s by my hips lol and honestly if your hair grows fast, I say you should go for it if you want darker hair!

I totally get about the picking aspect! I use to be like that too! So I know how hard it is to not pick. Doing my own nails really helped with that honestly, like I don’t do gel anymore so I just use regular polish with simple designs/stickers I can do. I think that since I put in “work” I tend to not pick at them or just maybe think twice about it more! Plus I use a “peel off base” sometimes so if I do pick it won’t damage my nails as much because of the base. I say get that pedicure, like if you can, you deserve it!

You couldn’t even tell that you didn’t know where to take their story while reading it! And at least for me I could tell that there was lot of emotion into it. Especially that part with her and the child. I think it was heartbreakingly beautiful to read due to the parallels of her own story. And I’m glad that she was able to cry and just feel all of her emotions! It was so lovely to read Sam!

It’s probably going take time to relax or slow down a bit because it can be a bit abrupt to suddenly be “stress free”. And yeah I remember! I totally get it though but you’re trying at least! Self care or being “healthy” doesn’t look the same for everyone and we all have different needs. It can start out really small and you can build on that. But I’m still hoping for you to have an amazing summer! Plus you still have so much time!

No plans yet for the summer tbh! I don’t have anything set yet but maybe I’ll go to a few concerts and see my friends who came back for the summerlol I do though want to start a new book series the Interview with the Vampire one! Omg please ignore what I said about my hair. It doesn't grow nearly as fast as yours I'm FLOORED. Naturally my hair looked good today (getting it cut tomorrow). The hair stuff I was using reformulated and it's devastating. Changing the length will also make things complicated. Didn't know about the peel off base...that's intriguing. I should give that a try.

The shout out to Boston will probs be on repeat in my head for the rest of my life. Not sure if he says it to every crowd (he probs does) but I felt so special in my back row seats. It was so nice 😭 I told my sister I wish I played the violin and she said "I don't think you needed another thing to be neurotic about" and tbh she's more than likely correct; probs for the best I stuck with singing in choir 😂☠

I'm not against audio books but they're not for me. I like to listen to music while I read and I like to hold my books. I think I MIGHT consider getting a kindle/e-reader this year. A lot of my friends and coworkers have recommended audio books "You can read two books at once" but I don't enjoy that all that much. I get pretty confused as is while reading one book I don't need to read/listen to a second and mess with my story lines. I know next to nothing about Interview with a Vampire so please tell me about it! Why do you like it and what's it about? Have you heard how the book and show compare? Do you tend to prefer book > movie or the other way? I'm a book over movie kind of person and I typically read before I watch but someone I know who kinda struggles with reading mentioned it works for her to watch first because then she kinda knows what's being described when she reads. I never thought of it like that and I appreciate that POV way more now. (Also praying this will work when I get around to watching Catch 22 because right now it's the only book I've ever given up on and also considered doing as an audio book) I swear I need comprehension questions like I did back when I was in school. I'm absolutely STUPID when it comes to reading anything that was written prior to 2000. I love The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, and To Kill a Mockingbird, but I swear I'm dumb af and didn't read anything underlying in them. Meanwhile my english major sister is like "you didn't know the rabid dog meant racism?" Like know, I thought it was a dog. I took note that Jem was color blind you're lucky I noticed that.

Ooooh yee, I was looking through alot of the leaks over on Instagram and a bit on here, we've got some interesting looks going on~ 👀

I knew I was gonna like Rose (Daria Roselyn) from her first leak (with those two other unrelated girls), and now I'm loving what I'm seeing on her official stock image with these other outfit choices, her hair-style, and those bright blue eyes contrasting nicely with her rosier colors~ 💕10/10

Peach (Georgia Bloom) is looking pretty cute too! 🧡 Kinda confused why they suddenly switched her outfit from the original artwork to this one though (idk the earlier skirt and top combo just looked a bit cuter imo). But otherwise I'm digging her vibe, 9/10~

Whoaaaa okay, who gave Orchid the right to be this pretty? 😳 Like... yea I was already digging her alot in the original artwork leaks but I did not expect her to pull off that multi-toned purple hair so well (sorry Violet lol), and I'm also digging her makeup look mixed with this specific face sculpt~ 💜. Kiiiinda confused why her purse thing seems to be sketched into her jacket though instead of just being a separate piece, but otherwise I'm definitely getting her second next to Rose 👍 9.5/10

Marigold (Sheryl Meyer) was quite a pleasant surprise on her own! I'm really digging the Clueless/lowkey-Heathers vibe with her main outfit and the makeup style. Curious to see how her second outfit's gonna pull together, so I'm really digging her atm~ 😊 9/10.

Now, Ice (Gabriella Icely) wasn't originally among my favorites during the initial artwork leaks... buuuut ngl, her actual doll isn't that bad now that I'm seeing her in-full. Especially with the makeup and slight-metallic vibe on some of her clothes gives her a nice lil "edge"... I just kinda wish she had a more "unique" hairstyle (and that she and/or Mint could've had a slightly more-varied skintone, just to diversify the S3 line a bit imo). But otherwise I think she looks ok. 8/10

Now as for Mint (Daphne Minton)... ehhhh I'm not really sure on her tbh. I mean, I get what they're going for in terms of her outfit aesthetic and gold accents... but I'm real confused why they suddenly got rid of her crimped/wavy hair look from the artwork (especially compared to the S1 Cheer dolls with a similar hair-type like Ruby and Sunny). I feel like she also would've looked a bit better with a lighter lipcolor too since the darker lip's kinda throwing me off rn... buuut idk, its kinda cute seeing that she has some freckles in a few other leaks I've seen, so perhaps in-person she'll look a bit better? 🤷‍♀️ 7/10.

ace: hmm not much should change i dont think? i imagine her looking sort of tomboyish. hair like male ace but maybe just a bit longer, maybe one or two red barettes because she still wants to be cute. short skirt and socks

deuce: "tomboy at heart but shes trying to be a proper lady" kind of look. had short hair in her delinquent days but shes growing it out so its juuust a little shorter than shoulder length. longer skirt but short socks. she rips all the tights she tries so she figured that would be easier

trey: god so shes the one i can never really figure out... i only ever see people drawing her w short hair but im not sure if i like it much the hairstyles they do are often just kinda ugly- i think that kinda works, though, maybe chin length hair for her. as long as her bangs are just a little different from her male counterpart. medium length skirt and under the knee socks.

ruggie: certified tomboy. same hair as male ruggie pretty much, same rolled up sleeves. she wears a skirt bc its part of the uniform id imagine but if they had like, a shorts option shed take it. shed be a shorts kind of gal. really short socks

jack: shoulder length hair, still fluffy and kinda spiky! maybe up in a sporty ponytail or something. shes still Very buff (read this in a simp voice) and would probably wear pants if they had the option in the uniform. if they dont have that then just... medium skirt i think, but she probably wears some kind of shorts underneath it. short socks and her jacket is tied around her waist more often than not

azul: GOD do i have thoughts about her. i also have a pet peeve regarding her hair i think fem azul would 100% be the type to have long hair instead of just keeping male azuls cut... its chest length and wavy and she keeps most of it pushed over one shoulder. medium skirt, she cares about being proper but still wants to look cute, probably would wear black tights but boy do i wanna see her in thigh highs

jade: hair is a very neat bob, i think! not that much different from her male counterpart, she still keeps the classiness. Obvious tights wearer and any skirt length would work with her, i think. though i cant see her in a very short one because she does care about being proper

floyd: also bobbed hair, except its a huge mess and she would probably pull it into a ponytail whenever shes able to.... short skirt and socks, some undone buttons. rolled up sleeves more often than not.

kalim: hghghghhg i can never decide on what hair id go with for her ~_~ in the end i think long and fluffy would be the most fitting, its about chest length and she does a variety of different styles, sometimes twintails, sometimes ponytails, sometimes she just leaves it the way it is! short skirt and socks, probably even more accessories than her male counterpart + painted nails (that jamil painted for her)

jamil: oh i can only see her being very similar to male jamil. same hairstyle pretty much though i think shed be heavier with the makeup, like her eyeshadow would be a bit darker? keeps the hoodie, medium shirt and short socks just below the knee. she probably looks scarier than her regular counterpart

vil: so we officially are in “similar to their counterpart” territory... i dont think fem vil could even be very different tbh, what sets her apart is that she has actually long hair- maybe past chest length even but she keeps that variety between having her hair up and down that vil has. either medium or long skirts bc she wants to keep it classy, obvious tights wearer. she has acrylic nails she changes every now and then and theyre Sharp. makeup on point always including this really intense red lipstick

rook: continuing our travel through similar territory... same hair, same weird ass hat, very similar in general. i just feel like shed be vaguely masculine too? but not in that “rough” way, or at least thats not how she looks like usually. medium skirt and she keeps the boots so you dont see her socks really. another one that would very much prefer to wear pants. sometimes she has red lipstick on because vil does her makeup every now and then

Eurovision 2021 Semi-final #1 Review

Strongest Semi-Final ever since I started watching this show. I’m fully prepared to lose faves.

1. The Roop - Discoteque - Lithuania 🇱🇹: Singing “There’ noone here, I feel safe to dance alone” in front of millions of viewers perfectly illustrates our current state of mass surveillance, change my mind. There were no major changes to their performance at the national final (why would there be when the underlying concept got them a record win at Pabandom iš naujo!), but the bigger stage definitely added another (violet/pinkish) dimension to it. I wouldn’t mind at all if the checkered flag background image forshadowed their win this year.

2. Ana Soklič - Amen - Slovenia 🇸🇮: Ana’s performance sucked me in like the black hole on the background screen at the start. Great gestures to enhance a rather static show and the staging, just wow. One half of planet earth on screen reflected on the floor, the big bang bursting beneath her feet at the climax, it was simply a presentation of galactic dimensions. I do wish her pronounciation was clearer, since every time I was tempted to sing along her words seemed to devolve into gibberish in my ears.

3. Manizha - Russian Woman - Russia 🇷🇺: DON’T BE AFRAID, DON’T BE AFRAID, DON’T BE AFRAID! OF MANIZHA TAKING THE WIN!!! Cause that’s where she’s headed for! That. Was. So. MINDBLOWING. It truly exceeded all my expectations. The charisma, the drive, the vocals, holy shit. I was close to bursting out in tears during the folklorish chanting segment. Like, there was just something swelling up in me that’s hard to describe. All while I’m head-banging like crazy. Perfect execution starting with the patchwork fabrics and clay art in the postcard melting my heart. Ana really had bad luck being stuck between two crazy (good) entries lol. 

4. Tusse - Voices - Sweden 🇸🇪: It seemed like Tusse was caught in a permanent state of crouching. Tbh I was warming up to the song, but then the key change happened and I just went nope. I think the song would have benefitted from incorporating the harmonica element at the start more. 

5. Montaigne - Technicolour - Australia 🇦🇺: The dancing condoms from Lena’s 2011 entry for Germany made an unexpected comeback. I feel so bad for Montaigne, especially now that it’s become apparent what a drawback not being able to perform on the real stage really is. Also, that “technicolor” effect every few moments did nothing but harm the entry.

6. Vasil - Here I Stand - North Macedonia 🇲🇰: Vasil seems to like rock-climbing, that interesting to know. It could not, however, prepare me for the disarmingly sincere performance that Vasil gave us. Nothing he’s singing is ground-breaking at all, but it’s the sum of its parts that makes it so special for me. How could I not fall for  someone who’s dedicating a song to his lover in front of all of Europe.

OMG I first thought Nikkie told Montaigne to stay away, instead of awake lmao.

7. Lesley Roy - Maps - Ireland 🇮🇪: I thought Jendrik’s entry was the most kindergarten-y entry this year, but clearly I was wrong. I think Lesley bit off more than she could chew. Poor thing was so visibly nervous I was almost having a nervous breakdown from all the anxious energy she was giving off. Also, was she crying at the end??

8. Elena Tsagrinou - El Diablo - Cyprus 🇨🇾:   Tomboy Elena is not what I expected from the postcard. Hmm, some of the more questionable lyrics (taco, tamale...) suddenly became a lot more difficult to ignore. Still, surprisingly strong vocals for how much Elena is moving around, so major props for that6. Elena Tsagrinou - El Diablo - Cyprus 🇨🇾:   Tomboy Elena is not what I expected from the postcard. 9. TIX - Fallen Angel - Norway 🇳🇴: The song gains another dimension when taking Efentix into account, doesn’t it... For some reason I don’t think this song got elevated by the new stage at all. 

10. Albina - Tick-Tock - Croatia 🇭🇷: I feel like accidently stumbled into a showing of the Starlight Express musical. I think I know what they were going for with the outfits but they made me go more aww than oof. Still fierce. In an endearing way. Which works btw. Also, some nice ideas like turning Albina into a quintuplet and her dancers raising her up above their heads. Damn, her being all excited to be on stage at the end was super cute.

11. Hooverphonic - The Wrong Place - Belgium 🇧🇪: I think I’d have preferred an even darker song if that’s the attire they wanted to go for. In the end I really think they were in the wrong place.

12. Eden Alene - Set Me Free - Israel 🇮🇱: I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an unnecessary outfit change. I really like how Eden went for a warmer tone for the beginning before turning up the sass. I love what she did with her hair. Queen vibes. Also, my favorite dance choreography so far, the guys can get it.

13. ROXEN - Amnesia - Romania 🇷🇴: It really feels like she’s lost herself, including her voice. Okay, that was mean. Dancing while executing such an intricate stage choreography can’t be easy. Still, I think Finland got upstaged when it comes to edge factor. I was not sure, but then the font on screen last-minute basically confirmed it.

14. Efendi - Mata Hari - Azerbaijan 🇦🇿: It’s official, the true successor of “Fuego” has emerged. Elena who? Albina who? Efendi slays them all. All hail the snake goddess from the orient who ensnared millions of men in her pit this very night. Whoever came up with the ring-around-the-rosy circle dance is a god damn genius. So many circle elemnts too like the revolving flower pattern on the floor, the golden pear and the revolving fireball of doom turning into an all-seeing eye at the end. I’m positively hypnotized. 

15. Go_A - SHUM - Ukraine 🇺🇦: Kateryna’s piercing eyes stare right into my soul. Not sure if I’m in the mood for some winter vibes but interesting cyber-druid look. Is that what people mean by technopagans?

16. Destiny - Je Me Casse - Malta 🇲🇹: I’ll definitely add this catchphrase to my dictionary.

Nikkie dragging past Eurovision entires lmaoooo. The audacity. And of course they had to put Duncan’s ass shot into the promotion video I’m diiiieing. I don’t know what a double platinum disc is but I didn’t think someone would get it randomly handed to without pre-announcement.

Aaaand I was right except for Croatia instead of Belgium. Damn, that kinda hurts. But in terms of staging it had the least effective staging among the many bops in this semi-final so it makes sense in retrospect.

THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE TWOO TANGLED AU!!!

This was actually really fun to write! And since it's my first published fanfic on here, kinda scary tbh. I'll tag this as #luna writes and #twoo tangled au.

Trigger warnings: none, except kidnapping I think.

Chapter 1: The Taking of Princess Wish.

A cold night in the warrior fort. Harsh iron walls rose on top of the hill, protecting those inside, and keeping others out.

Inside the tall walls was a princess. She didn’t look like one, not at all. She had wild hair, she was scrawny, she was short. Oh, and she had an eyepatch. The princess’ name was Wish. Wish was not your ordinary warrior. She wasn’t exceptionally good at hunting or fighting. She couldn’t spell. The most unusual thing was her spoon. 

Why? It was alive. Spoon was alive. A spoon, made of iron, was flitting around Wish’s head.

What’s more, iron is unmagicable. 

Outside the princess’s hut, it was dark. The rain started to fall, and the wind began to swirl, creating figures in the mist. Spooked, the spoon hid inside Wish’s jacket.

“Hush. There can’t possibly be anything out there.” Wish worried, a little scared herself, “Mother won’t let anything in.”

Wish’s mother was, of course, Queen Sychorax, queen of the warriors. If you were very clever, moderately clever, or had even an ounce of common sense, you would not make her angry.

And Queen Sychorax was about to become very angry indeed.

You see, outside Wish’s hut, was a mist. A little darker, a little heavier, a little thicker, a little definitely-not-mistier. The dark mist was Encanzo, The wizard King.

And he was here to take Sychorax’s daughter.

Wish was blissfully oblivious of what was about to happen, tugging at her unruly hair. All of a sudden, the candles went out, pitching the room into darkness. A hand wrapped around Wish’s mouth and her hands were bound behind her back. Eye crazed, she looked around for the intruder but found only black. A rough voice came from behind her, close to her ear.

“A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Princess Wish. Now, stay quiet. Or I will sew your mouth together with magic, and you don’t want that, do you? Do not be disobedient.”

Wish nodded, slowly. She very much did not want her mouth sewn, it sounded frightfully horrible. It would be warrior-like to scream and shout and kick, but Wish did not do any of those.

The voice took her out of the house, and her good eye was covered by something.

“Can’t have you seeing where we are going, can we?”

It could have been hours or only a few seconds before she was pushed onto a chair and able to see again.

Her kidnapper was very tall. Had Wish been standing up she was sure that she might have just reached his waist. He was also bald and had lightning across his head. A light flicked from his fingers to a nearby candle, lighting up the room.

Wish breathed out, gently, “You!” She spat, pretending she was not as scared as she was, “You’re the Wizard king!”

“You’re quite right, princess. I am glad to see that you are civil, my son does not have the mind to. I assume you have questions?”

Wish hummed. There was an awful lot she could ask about this situation. “You’re awfully polite for a kidnapper.”

Encanzo sat down opposite her. “Thank you. If you have no questions then I will simply inform you about your predicament. Food will appear three times every day on that table over there, but there is a basket of berries in the cupboard.” he pointed to a table in the corner of the room. “There is a bed up there, and there are some mathematics books over there.” He said, mildly amused at how well this weird little daughter of Sychorax was taking the circumstances.

This is a rather nice place to be kidnapped to, thought Wish, Mathematics is very boring though.

Out loud, Wish was a little more shivery. “Thank you. Erm, one question. Maybe two, actually. How long am I going to be here? And where exactly is here?”

Encanzo stood, and unbound Wish’s legs with a twirl of his fingers. “You will be here until your mother stops invading us and taking away our people. However long that takes. You are stuck up a very big tree. Come and see, princess”

Wish stood up, being careful to hide Spoon, who was still inside her jacket. She peered out of the window and saw that she was very high up.

“I’m afraid that unless you happen to be able to fly or have a giant, or a snowcat, then the chances of you getting down is very improbable indeed.” The king said, subtly glancing at Wish to make sure she didn’t fall. “I must be going. Goodbye, Princess.”

Wish stood back and nodded somewhat awkwardly. What does one say when they are faced with very-polite-kidnappers? “Goodbye.”

King Encanzo jumped out of the window. That’s right, jumped. Wish rushed forward, mouth open, only to see black mist dancing across the sky like lightning.

“I think you can come out now.”

Spoon stuck his head out of Wish’s jacket and flew to inspect his surroundings.

Meanwhile, Wish wandered up to the bedroom, and sat against the wall. Her eyes welled up with tears, but she didn’t let them spill over. That was not the warrior way. So she just sat there in despair. The tree was very tall indeed, there was no way anyone might be able to hear her.

Eventually, Spoon wandered up. When he saw Wish’s head buried in her hands his head drooped but he flew over, nuzzling her nose. 

“Thanks. I guess we’re stuck here for a while.” Wish paused, “Mother is not going to be very happy when she hears about this, is she…”

The young princess yawned. “It is very late. I should have been asleep a while ago. Goodnight” She climbed into the bed and fell asleep very quickly, for being kidnapped is a rather tiring experience, I am told.

Outside the tree, it was still dark, but there were no longer any harsh iron walls. And now, had Wish noticed, she could see the stars.

1. this feels like hbo supernatural. Like the subject matter is MUCH darker, it feels like a pointed setup, the iconography is More, the violence is more. It's GOOD, it's just a bit Jarring to just...get a lot of all the time. Like boy they were putting in ALL of the budget, all of the stops for this one.

probably the most clear one was Julia's violation of bodily autonomy. Like they NEVER did much with that but there was So Much

2. Kid + toys. Kid processing the world through toys(turn the scary into an action figure, turn the pranks into deadly), and gags, etc + Dean relating because he does that too

3. aw SAM. Sam having a plot once again about "hey being fated doesn't mean it's gonna have to happen." The violation of bodily autonomy(along the thing with it happening to Julia right in the same episode) is..Like it feels like a mangled metaphor, but it..is there.

4. Dean + kids. Just..I like that he's good with kids. Like it's super super consistently shown(if not told, Dean is a character that has those two constantly at war with each other), and It's neat

5. yes choice is important but that is a CHILD. OH this ties into the bottom point of how John treated them as adults, and they did it only to realize oh..that's fucked up

6. lies. The "parents lie" plotline felt a bit shoehorned in/underdeveloped, but it was an interesting analysis of their sibling relationship+how things could have been good with their dad. Their dad expected them to grow up super super quickly, like they did with Jesse, but then it fucked them up Horribly and they're still figuring that out.

Jess 1-20 (with Jax, Blez, and Kaya)

So I completely forgot about the holiday headcanon and I currently can't think of any now so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cooking

As we know, Jess is absolutely horrible at cooking.

I do imagine she has times where she thinks "Sacra and Blez make it look so easy…" and attempts to cook anyway, which predictably ends in disaster.

Even little Jess is bad at cooking, but she still enjoys helping with cooking/baking and dumping too much or weird ingredients into what's being made.

I also like to imagine Jess vibes in the kitchen with whoever is cooking (assuming she's not drowning herself with work) to feel like she's helping somehow. She usually somehow ends up standing in front of whatever drawer or cabinet the other person needs to get into every single time lol

Sleeping

She's surprisingly clingy when she's sleeping.

Before bless, I feel like Jess liked sleeping in smaller beds because it felt less empty.

Shortly after they started dating, Jess panicked that her bed wasn't big enough and went out to buy the biggest bed she could find. (Jase regretted helping her with it when he finds out why she got it lol)

Driving

Jess actually really enjoys driving. I imagine she finds long drives to be soothing, and it's something she does when she finally decides to take a break from the pressure of work or whatever else. She could barely fuckin see for the longest time, but she still managed to be a fairly decent driver despite this and nobody knew she had shit vision because of this lol

Bathing/showering

Admittedly, there were times Jess went without bathing for a few days because she was so focused on her work. She eventually forced herself to speed shower when she remembered to do it while drowning in her work. The other three in bleblesscra are a big help in reminding her to take care of herself and help her breaks

Hugging

(I'm going based off of memory for the next few so if things contradict other things then oof)

Just gonna stick hugging and general physical contact together

I don't imagine Jess is super comfortable with hugging, especially during and shortly after gen1 events. She does make an exception with Blee and Sacra, but only after she trusts them more.

Jess changes a lot by gen2. She is so much more affectionate with everyone around her.

Kissing

She feels uncomfortable initiating kisses, especially in public. After she and Blee start dating, Jess is very reluctant to kiss her considering what happened right before they did start dating. She eventually just feels comfortable enough around Blee that she allows herself to do this, as long as it's in private. When she starts dating Sacra, she still only initiates in private.

During gen2, Jess will kiss her partners whenever the mood hits. Typically, it's still mostly when she's alone with her partners, but occasionally Jess will see one of her partners and be filled with so much love for them that she will kiss them regardless of where they are or who's around.

Sex

Physical appearance

The biggest change to Jess's physical appearance between gen1 and gen2 is the glasses. Jess can finally see. I feel like she never got glasses before because she just didn't like them and really didn't want them. She will go times before gen2 where she will refuse to wear her glasses, but she eventually gets used to them

She also has shorter hair in gen2, but it's not much shorter. It's armpit length I think.

Wardrobe

Jess goes through a major wardrobe change between gen1 and gen2 holy shit. Before and during gen1, Jess wore mostly only darker colors like brown and black, and wore very concealing clothing. She owned pants, button up shirts, and high collared compression shirts, mostly.

After moving to earth, Jess expands her wardrobe a little. She starts adding orange and yellow clothing, and eventually, she also adds things like dresses and tank tops once she gets more comfortable with the idea of it :)

She also owns clothing for little space! Little Jess likes to wear overalls, but she also has like long striped socks and cute skirts and stuff uwu

Jewelry

No jewelry for her normally, but…

She does own a lot of jewelry for when she's in little space. Little jess loves jewelry, but it's mostly the cheap plastic stuff. I could see her wearing like ten necklaces at once and bracelets covering her arms and running around like that lol

Nickname

Jess is short for Jessabelle OwO

I think Sacra calls her Jessy when she's in little space

I don't think there's much for nicknames for Jess tbh

Dancing

I don't think Jess is much of a dancer, though I do like to imagine Sacra sometimes gets her to dance with him like a romantic slow dance kinda thing.

Singing

Jess doesn't like singing in front of other people. She's not super great at it, either. She sometimes sings certain songs when it's just her and Sacra, though.

Anger

Though Jess gets annoyed by little things very easily, it takes a lot to make her actually angry. She says things she doesn't mean when she's mad, and when in an argument with her, she will cut deep to whatever will upset that person. She takes her anger out on the source, usually, but this is sometimes a problem she faces with her partners. She will learn to hold back with them if they ever anger her, eventually.

Soft spot

Blee, Sacra, and Blez. She is so in love with them.

Photography. Seeing certain photos makes her melt, especially the amazing places she's photographed while doing travel photography.

The bleblesscra cats, eventually. Once she gets more comfortable around them, she welcomes all three of them laying on her (though she's still not sure why they choose to sleep on her so often lol)

Before and during gen1 events, Jess refused to have her picture taken. It takes a little while after moving to earth before Jess warms up to the idea, and she decides to make the first picture of her a picture of her and her partners together. It's her favorite, and always will be.

Relationship with ___

Jax

Jess's relationship with Jax is significant because he's the first person she connected with after being separated from her family (I mean, other than Embry but that was short lived XDD ._. )

Aside from reconnecting with Jase, of course, Jax became the only person Jess could rely on. She noticed early on into knowing Jax that he seemed to have a strong fondness for her, and honestly, it felt nice. Weird, but nice. It wasn't something she was used to, but Jess felt comfortable enough around Jax to start opening up to him. It was slow, of course, but she wanted to be closer to him.

By the time story events start, Jess will have a deeper friendship with Jax than she ever thought possible. He's the one she goes to for advice, and the one she most likes spending time with other than Blee. This all comes at a price, though, because she will realize that there's a lot that Jax is hiding from her and it feels strange. He knows so much about her, but she doesn't know a lot about him. She will understand, in a way, because after all she does keep some things from him (regarding Adrien, most specifically), but the balance between what she knows and what he knows is definitely off.

Additionally, she starts to wonder why Jax and Kiro are so distant. If it were her brother, she wouldn't hesitate to rebuild their relationship. She's even still trying with Jase, after everything they've gone through so far. All of this combined with the fact that Jax is hiding something from her about Jase causes Jess and Jax's relationship to suffer for a lot of gen1 events. In fact, it gets worse after she finds out what it was Jax was hiding from her. It hurts her, but when she finally gets a chance to talk to him face to face after atrova events, she is able to work through things with him and Jax ultimately gives the promise to Jess that he will be more open with her.

Leaving Jax behind to go to earth with the others will actually be pretty hard on Jess. She talks to him pretty often, and looks forward to seeing him on their visits. At one point during one of their visits to kartoffel, (before Jess has any kids of her own), Jax makes an excuse to spend time alone with Jess and they finally address the romantic feelings for each other that have been growing over the years. Jess and Jax make the decision to start dating, and enter a long distance relationship.

During gen2, Jess doesn't really have any issues with Jax. She's not aware of Jax keeping secrets from his other family because he doesn't do that with her anymore. She has known about the issues with Josine and Kiyan, and all of Jax's concerns and theories about everything.

Jess feels a lot of love for Jax like she does with her other partners. She sometimes wishes one of them lived closer so she could see him more often, but that's really her only complaint.

Blez

Blez didn't really make a good first impression on Jess. To her, Blez seemed like a child pouting over not getting her way. She felt even more uncomfortable being around Blee, because Blez gave them odd looks.

Once Blez apologized to Jess on atrova, she agreed with the points that were made, but she still didn't really feel that Blez was sincere about her intention of getting along with her. She was, though, and for a brief time she felt more comfortable in the group when Blez was around.

After Blez and Clay break up, she feels bad for her, but she doesn't think about it too much. When Blez talks to her and Sacra about her feelings for Blee, she wasn't really surprised, but… the timing was horrible, honestly. Regardless, Jess had no issues with Blez and told her to take that chance with Blee, if she really felt that way. (I've thought before that Jess might be uncomfortable or weirded out by Blez's feelings for Blee, just because of her situation with Jase, but I changed my mind on that. Blez is obviously different than Jase, and Jess would see that and not really be concerned about her being an insane yandere lol)

Through the rest of the story events, I have been imagining little moments between Jess and Blez where Blez asks Jess to help her learn how to defend herself and such. Actually, I think this happened during old hnmp events too? If it did I guess I just really liked that idea and it has stuck with me ever since.

Anyway, during this I feel like Jess starts to develop feelings for Blez. She sees Blez as a completely different person from where they started, and Blez shows the more complicated sides of her without completely unloading all her problems on everyone.

As they get closer, and Jess realizes her feelings for Blez, she kind of panics about it. Almost as bad as when she realized she had feelings for Sacra, honestly. The last of the story probably has so much going on that she's able to keep the thought out of her head, but once everything is resolved and they're all deciding what to do next, Jess is very aware of her feelings for Blez. And, she's just not sure that Blez even feels the same way.

At some point after they get to earth (and also after Blez and Blee start dating) Jess tries to find some way to confess to Blez. I'm not exactly sure how this will happen yet, tbh, because I still don't see Jess as confident enough to confess. Maybe Blez will? Who knows?

Anyway, Jess is so super soft for Blez. I imagine the positive energy Blez brings to the relationship is great for Jess. Also, whenever Blez starts going on about a new interest like an otome or show or something Jess is always just really supportive and trying but also so confused. She doesn't follow along with a lot of Blez's interests. It's moments like when Jess is sitting with Blez while she works on her cameras, or when they sneak off together to drink monsters and Blez lets Jess pick all the music that makes their relationship.

Kaya

I imagine Jess to be a very overprotective parent. With Kaya specifically, she becomes this way more with her after the event with Jaiden's dad. Jess feels horrible about what happened, and she blames herself for not being able to prevent it. All Jess wanted was for her kids to experience a better life than she got to, and with Kaya, she feels like she failed her.

Jess is very encouraging to Kaya. She noticed that Kaya seemed to pick up the same habits as her when it comes to work, so Jess tries to do for Kaya as her partners did for her. She helps Kaya take breaks and tries to encourage her to go hang out with her friends rather than letting her school work consume her. Some days it seems this worked a little too well, because Kaya will stay out until (or after) her curfew.

Despite all this, Jess is trying to trust Kaya to make good decisions. She does ask questions about where she's going and who she's going with, but Jess knows Kaya is prone to lying.

Making up your mind you get off the horse and start walking towards the scary building in hopes of finding your father.

anyway, i’m moving back to tumblr again mainly cus wordpress sucks and it’s not allowing me to post videos unless i buy their premium plan which is tbh a no cus idk why platforms for blogging should even charge you for the features that they were supposed to have???? also sadly, tumblr also only lets you post 1 video per post limit which is why i’ve put the pics and videos i took into in one but it’s better than not being able to post a video at all.

we’ve been officially together for 3 years and 5 months now and wow, i’ve only just realised what a long time that is 😂 honestly, if you want to count how long it has been since we first met each other, it’ll probably be about 8 years now. tho han sees it as 8 years but i see it as 3y5m cus idk who he was back then ya know what i mean? like i know the 3y5m him now than the him 8 years ago.

han sent me his live location as he does so every sat, and i was late. even tho he came all the way to my place i was still late :/ and i was so sorry 😭 i know there shouldn’t be any excuses for my lateness but i have my reasons, even if anyone thinks it isn’t valid :/ so i alr prepared right? like i mentally prepared and visualize what i wanna wear and etc. and so i went to take a shower and all. and then my mom all of a sudden asked me to do things like ordering food for her, clipping her nails, airfrying some sotong balls cus she was feeling peckish. initially she asked me to order food, which i then did but it was immediately cancelled due to the weather. it suddenly rained really heavily. and then while i was in her room drying my hair, she suddenly said she wanted sotong balls which i then went to airfry. and then when i alr did that and continued drying my hair, she then asked me to clip her nails and i was like “i’m going out ibu later farhan will be waiting for me alr” and she was like nvm la it will only take a while. so i did that and then i had to just rush cus i checked his live location and he was alr nearing tenaga area which is so damn close to my place alr. then i quickly picked out the outfit i wanted to wear. i mean come on, it’s our monthsary and i wanted to dress up right and i alr had this mental image of what i wanna wear right? so i took it out, wore it and then i realized that it was still a bit rainy??? like kinda drizzling so i figured he’ll be coming up first to wait till the rain totally stops but he texted me asking me to come down instead. and at this point i was sweating profusely. yeah, it was rainy but i was feeling so warm from rushing and doing so many things at once. oh ya, i was wearing this satin white shirt with shorts and that was my initial outfit like it looks laidback and casual and effortless but i decided to change cus i was perspiring and it felt so uncomfortable wearing a satin material when you’re perspiring like heck!! so i ended up wearing my fav tee with the same shorts and brought my hoodie along. it’s also my fav hoodie from uniqlo. i think their hoodie quality is bomz it’s not too thick or too thin and i wanna buy more but maybe wait till they have sales or something. so i ended up just looking super hobo as heck like it just looks like i didn’t even bother to dress up and i felt sad but i didn’t want han to be waiting even longer.

so when i went down he was alr sitting at the seats at the void deck and i can feel anger radiating within him lol like i knew he was mad and he still had his helmet on and his rain jacket on and all. and then he gave me different options of where to go for our lunch and then i just sat there pondering for a bit. and then i asked him if he wanted to put the jacket and pants at home but he didn’t want to so he took it off and then put it on the table and he took off his helmet as well. and then i asked him if we could eat at genki and he told me that genki was one of the options that he forgot to list so we decided on genki! his anger didn’t last long and as he stood up to head over to his bike i went to him and open up my arms cus i just wanted to hug him lolol then at first he tried to act all “ew” and moved away but he ended up hugging me anyway hehe and then don’t want to let go lol so bobo so cute. honestly i’m still shy??? around him wtf. like when i initiated the hug itself i felt so shy loooooollllll and when he didn’t wanna let go it made me blush wtf but ofc he can’t see cus we have to wear the stupid mask bc of stupid covid. i hate it wtf my face is so sensitive and it’s breaking out bc of having to wear the mask so my skin can’t breathe. like what’s the point of me not wearing makeup underneath the mask when i still break out anyway right zzz hais. ok sorry side track a bit but ya hahaha so then i told him i wanted to show him something!!! and then he was like “eh eh who said you let go” or was it “who said you can stop hugging” but it’s either one la hahaha then i took his hand and pull down my mask and then kissed his hand 😂 then i told him to look and i said “no transfer”!!!!!! hahahahaha cus i was wearing this lipstick and wtf man the formula is damn amazing really didn’t transfer anywhere at all. i even kissed my own hand and i even drank water but not transfer AT ALL. it was a gift i got from two years back i think hahaha for my bday from rai, a kylie kit and i haven’t worn it out before mainly bc the color didn’t suit my skintone cus the shade felt so light but when i wore it this time it felt like the shade was darker somehow? idk if i became pale from staying at home all the time or idk lol but i like the shade now 😌

oh at first i didn’t wanna go to tampines cus we always go to tampines hahaha and i guess i made a face and han teased me about it lol as much as it annoys me it’s a good kind of annoying? 😂 cus he’s so cute whenever he teases me in that way lolol but we ended up just heading to tampines anyway cus he wanted to save up on petrol also and i thought ok ya cus he has to work now and he has to go to and fro everyday so it’s better for him to save the petrol as well. i put on my hoodie and then we went to the usual parking spot at tampines. and then bc both of our masks were down i could actually kiss him hehe. and then from there we walked to the front entrance of the mall cus of this covid there’s only one in and out entrance but entering was a breeze tbh cus even tho there was a long line, we didn’t have to wait long.

then we went up to the escalator. and genki wasn’t crowded at all either so that was great!!! we did the safe entry thing, got our temperature taken and got our seats. then we ordered some food hehe. i was excited cus lol i love genki. not as much as i love my bf but if i have to choose an express sushi shop i would choose genki 😂 i wanted something soupy and filling so i got their beef udon since i alr had their duck udon the previous time we went there. and then i got a drink and chawanmushi as an appetizer. i love their chawanmushi as well and it’s something i will always get. i used to buy their clams miso soup but since it was taken out of the menu, i got their chawanmushi instead. and i was so happy when han decided to try the chawanmushi!!!!! i’ve always knew him as someone that wasn’t into eggs but he actually liked this one!! and he even ate the prawn and the naruto/japanese fish cake when i fed it to him omg 😭😭😭 i was legit so happy wtf hahahaha and then his fried squid came, also one of the hot foods i will always order but usually i’ll get it if i didn’t buy any of the udon. but since i alr got the udon i didn’t order it. and then his mini chicken teriyaki don came and lol the bowl was rly so mini ahahaha i wish i took a picture of it but i didn’t. but it was worth for the price of $4 i think since it was actually filled to the brim. there was even slices of tamago in it. he fed me a spoonful and it was nice!!! i’m gonna try that next time i go to genki if i’m feeling like eating rice 😂 i like udon cus of the chewy texture of the noodles and the soup. and then a plate of mentaiko fries came 🤤 there was A LOT of mentaiko on it it was so amazing and i was so surprise cus i didn’t order it but at the end of the day han said that he saw that i didn’t order the fries so he ordered it for me 🥺😍 so sweet hais and i really enjoyed it. i love genki’s mentaiko sauce it’s so damn goooooodddddd. so salty so nice. and then my udon came hehe and i devoured it. i fed han some too and gave him one of the fish cakes cus i think they made a mistake and put two pieces. the udon was so good i love it hahahaha. and then han ordered a seaweed roll, 2 more beef sushi and 1 mentaiko salmon for me hehe yes i know how to eat salmon now!!!! but it must be seared. i still can’t eat raw ones unless i rly dipped it in soy sauce or if it’s cut super thinly then maybe can try 😅

then after we finished eating, we went up to see if we can catch a movie. i wasn’t sure if we’re allowed to sit together so i asked him to ask first if we have to be separated and yay we don’t have to separate!!! so we decided to watch train to busan 2: peninsula. since we alr watched the first one together and there wasn’t much movies that were showing so we decided to catch the 5:10pm slot. it’s been so so so long since we last watched a movie tgt so this was nice. we didn’t get anything to eat since we just ate and i was still full but we had some time so we went to fairprice and got some candies. then farhan bought a root beer slushy which turns out to be scam!!! cus it’s just ice and it was practically solidified even after the movie was over it didn’t even melt much within 2 hours wtf. and then he also got a hotdog bun 😂

the movie was great. not as great as the first one cus the first one was definitely much more impactful but this one was not too bad. a bit too much “racing” scenes but i guess it’s to keep its audience on the toes. the storyline is a bit meh as well but i guess the suspense from some parts made up for it. it’s quite tragic though.

and then after the movie, i asked han if he still wanted pizza but when we saw the queue there was still a bunch of people waiting for their orders. even some foodpanda and grab delivery riders were waiting so i told him we’ll just order in and at first he was like we’ll see how but i ordered anyway. then we went out to head home and han finally lighted a cigarette. hahahaha he actually had to suppressed his desire to smoke cus we didn’t have time since i chose the earlier slot for the movie and im so proud of him for being able to suppress the feeling and yet not turning into a cranky momok.

while on the way back, he wanted to top up some petrol so we stopped by spc and then he wanted to top up his cashcard so we had to go one big round from the carpark to where he can top up his card but the machine is stupid!!! and he got upset cus he wasn’t able to top up his card. i think he still prefers the card with chip reader than the contactless ones. so then we decided to head to 7-11 so he can purchase one with chip but they ran out. so we decided to find another petrol station cus he said usually it’s being sold there too. so we did and this time round i guess i was being cranky cus the seat of his bike was eating into my skin and it hurts like heck so i told him to just top up the card since they don’t have the chip ones and he needed to top up anyway but then in front there was another petrol station and apparently they had a chip + contactless card there and i think they only accepted cash for it so he came out and then went in back and bought one there. and i was still cranky lol and i was perspiring so much both from my scalp to my body and it was drizzling too so all i wanted to do was head home so i got upset and i lashed it out on him when we made our way back cus he kept trying to make a joke out of the pain i felt and it just triggered me cus it’s like he doesn’t understand how much it hurts??

but it’s not his fault. cus i’m the one that chose to wear shorts even tho i know how much it hurts when i sit too long on the bike. and then he said he’ll cut the netting off but i was like no wtf. cus 1, we don’t meet everyday which sucks but ya we don’t and thus i’m not the one sitting on the back of his bike everyday so having to sit one day out of the week doesn’t bother me as much as having to sit on it everyday ya know what i mean? and 2, the parts that are still protected which is probably about 90-80% of the seat is still useable so it’ll be able to help protect the other areas from getting damage by the claws of cats.

and then when we got back, he wanted to pass his gummies to me but no one in this household eats gummies or candies. my mom can’t even eat sugary content cus of health, my dad isn’t a fan of gummies or candies he much prefers chips and chocolates and my brother too prefers chocolates or ice creams. i don’t like sugary content either but unless it comes from cakes or pastries or ice creams or chocolates so rly, no one is gonna eat it. and then he got mad at me and all i could hear was “you do to me can but when i’m doing it to you cannot” and i didn’t get what he meant by that tbh so i just kept quiet all the way till we’re home. i quickly took off my hoodie, changed into a more comfortable shorts went to take a piss and then went into my room. i sat down for awhile in front of the fan cus i was sweating so much and then i cooled down before i apologized to him and then asked him if he was still upset. i tried to get him to explain what he meant but couldn’t get anything out of him cus he just prefers to sweep it under the rug whereas i like to talk about it so i can see what i did wrong or which areas i have to improve or change so it can better our lives ya know but he’s not like that and i have to understand it so i just kept quiet and then i kissed him and stroked his face and hair a little.

and then he asked me if the pizza was here and i said ya hahaha it’s alr in the kitchen and whether he wants me to take it so he was like yes and as i was going to take the pizza he grabbed me and hugged me tight and i just instantly melted. it was genuinely hot lol i like this kinda shit hahahahaha but i’ve always felt afraid that i was gonna hurt him with my weight so i didn’t dare do anything that will shift my whole weight onto him but he didn’t care and he said it doesn’t hurt 🥺 haissss

honestly going home was all i was looking forward to. it’s not bc i’m horny lol or maybe that’s one of the reason but it’s mainly bc i just want to lay in his arms and just cuddle and give him kisses and also receive kisses. i’ve missed him all week long and we haven’t really been able to talk much since he’s working and he’s always tired when he gets home but it’s good that he’s working hard for his future and for our future.

and then the time for him to head home came. a truly saddening end of the day and he left a little later than usual but i’m just glad he got home safely and didn’t get lectured for being home a little late.

now onto how you met your mans doyoung

your freshman and sophomore years, you had only seen him in passing

tbh you barely recognized him when you saw him more than once

you knew him as “that one dude that i always see in the dining hall wearing suits”

then junior year you got a job at the convenience store on campus (lets get this BREAD)

pls tell me it isn’t some weird niche thing that only my school has

aNyWHO he started coming in around 2 am right before closing

and ALWAYS picked up 3 coffees all of which had double shots of espresso

this happened about 2 or 3 times a week

but hey you figured let’s go into this with an open mind and hope for the best

well on day one of this class (which is a 9 am by the way) guess who struts through the door

yep and ya boi decided to sit 2 seats down from you, it was too far to say hi or anything (esp bc you had never really spoken to him before) but like he was also just close enough for it to be awkward

so class went by normally you found out that the new professor wasn’t THAT bad but there was definitely gonna be a lot of work involved

so yeah life carries on as normal

you still see him all the time at the convenience store

one night it had been a particularly rough shift

your alarm didn’t go off, so you were running late, it had started to rain on your walk to work, and when you finally got there your manager apparently had someone piss in his cheerios because he had S U C H an attitude because you were

“haha yeah it does. i think i have you in my philosophy class”

when you finally met his eyes, you felt a little bad

the air was a little awkward and silent as you scanned his coffees

here he was standing right in front of you; messy hair, sweatpants, a sweatshirt repping your school logo and looking very nervous (but very attractive lmao)

i guess your reply took a little too long because he quickly started to back peddle

“i mean if you prefer to study alone that’s cool. i just always see you during lecture and you look like you understand the material and sometimes i get a little lost in terminology but if you don’t want to that’s fine too.”

you quickly snapped out of your haze

 “no, no. i would love to study with you. here let me give you my number so we can meet up. most of my classes are in the morning so any time after like noon should be fine.”

 you grabbed his receipt back and quickly scribbled your number on it before handing it back

 okay honestly you had never been one to give out your phone number just like that and you didn’t really like studying with people

but something about him made it so hard to say no

you just had this urge to get to know him

so when he texted you a few days later asking if you were free to study that night

of course you said yes

and it went pretty smoothly

he has a much better understanding of the material than he let on at first

he even ended up helping you understand a few things

you got together w few times over the next couple of weeks

each time you met you got to know each other more and more

well yall became friends after the first night studying because lets be real it was awKWARD

like neither of you felt particularly comfortable yet because this was the first time you had actually hung out with each other despite knowing of each other’s existence for two years

okay but let’s jump to the time 2 days before your exam

you guys agreed to meet up at the library and the plan was to study for A WHILE just to make sure you were prepared ya know?

so like you get there and he was already sitting in a room waiting

 when you open the door he gets up to hug you

which he hasn’t ever done before

and like tbh he was really warm and smelled really nice like it his cologne wasn’t too strong, and it smelt sweet but also very inviting which isn’t really a scent but like do you get me? and he gave a really tight hug like the type that you didn’t want to let go of it felt as though you could stay there forever (this is also where you lowkey start having feelings for him but shhh because you don’t realize it yet)

so back the point

obvi you start studying and besides the hug nothing was really that different

you got through the material, quizzed each other, talked a bit

ya know the usual

time flew by and the next thing you know it’s 12:30 am and the library would be closing at 1 so you decide to wrap it up

“alright doyoung i’ll see you in class. get some rest before the test okay?”

 “yeah yeah i will” he rolled his eyes a little bit

 “seriously dude. i know you. go straight to sleep when you get back to your place”

he worried you sometimes. He really wanted to do well and the applications for law school were opening up soon, so he’s been kinda stressed no matter how much he tried to hide it and this test coming up isn’t helping

he walked you out of the library and you two would usually part ways and walk alone to your apartments

before you could turn and say goodbye doyoung was already speaking

“hey it’s a lot darker out here than usual”

you looked up at the pitch-black sky

“yeah I guess it is, oh well at least I have my pep-“

 “what? you have your pepper spray right?”

“no i forgot that i let my roommate borrow it. she’s going to a sorority thing and won’t be back until like 3 or 4. it’s fine though my apartment is only like a 10-minute walk. goodnight do”

“no i couldn’t ask you to do that. you’re law and society class is at 8 am tomorrow so you need to get some sleep.”

despite the cold fall air, your face felt hot

like you know that it’s normal for friends to be worried about each other but that didn’t make doyoung saying it any less charming

the walk back was nerve wracking

you guys normally don’t hang out outside of the context of studying

so like this was weird, nice but weird

and once you go to your door there was a cast of silence

doyoung was just looking at you

normally it would make you kinda uncomfy/insecure but right now you were calm

there was something about looking into his eyes

the brown was so warm and inviting

after a few seconds of the comfortable silence, he finally looked away

and I awkwardly cleared my throat “thank you for walking me home doyoung”

your teacher gave you those choice of clay or marbleas a medium and clearly you chose clay

you were going to do marble but then you remembered the other 3 tests you need to prepare for and a portfolio that had to fit the theme of mythology

so basically you had a lot of art to produce and NO INSPIRATION like none, zero, zip, zilch, nada

you sat in the room you had reserved in the arts building

a pile of clay sat atop a slab of rock, a blank page of a sketchbook sat next to that

scrolling through pinterest had stopped working long ago and at this point you were losing hope

ring, ring, ring

doyoung’s name popped up on your screen

it was odd because you two usually texted for everything

“hey, do what’s up?”

“hi y/n i was just wondering if you wanted to grab some fro-yo. i just got out of another test and could use some company”

“ahh, doyoung i’m sorry but i’m stuck doing work. do you remember that mythology sculpture i told you about? well, it’s due next Wednesday and i haven’t even started on it yet”

he chuckled a little bit

“shut up do. are you kidding me? your shoulders are like a mile wide. you have a great jawline and that smile? you’d have all the mortal girls falling for you i mean i did. that sounds like god-material to me”

he threw his head back laughing

mostly to hide the huge blush creeping up his cheeks

“okay, okay. i’ll pose for you. what do i have to do?”

“just sit still so that i can take some measurements of your face and then i’ll take some photos for reference afterwards.”

doyoung did as he was told for the most part

he sat there patiently

he kept peeking at your sketchbook as you laid out the rough ideas for a few of your other pieces

tbh you hadn’t even noticed

you were in the ZONE, you hadn’t been this inspired in a while and you wanted to take full advantage of it

you also hadn’t noticed the ,,,, um,,,, lack of space,,,,,, between the two of you

well doyoung had, to say the least

he sat there desperately hoping and praying that you wouldn’t notice how sharply he would breathe in everytime your hands touched his face to move its position

or that you couldn’t notice how much his hands were shaking and how he was constantly wiping them on his pants because they were very sweaty

finally, you had all the information you needed

as you stepped back and over to your chair in front of the clay, doyoung could finally breath

“doyoung, do you have any other classes today? i don’t want to keep you here if you have plans. you can go i can work off of the reference pictures”

he very vigorously shook his head

“no no, i’m free for the day.”

“okay. you should probably go get something to eat while get this started. this will probably be a long process.”

“yeah sure. do you want me to grab you anything while I’m gone?”

“nope i’m good. i already had the sandwich you brought me.”

“okay then i’ll be right back”

after he left it easy to feel the emptiness of the room

even though you were enveloped in your work it was still noticeable

the absence of his presence was palpable

the lack of it was almost suffocating

while you were worked on getting the basic shape and structure you found yourself unsettled

unable to get back into the ‘zone’ you found yourself in before

still, you pushed through the weird shift in the air, but it wasn’t long before doyoung came back with a bag of food

“hey doyoung.”

he glanced over at your pile of clay

“whoa. you made a lot of progress. okay i know you said that you didn’t want anything to eat but i brought burgers and some chips and stuff just in case.

“doyoung, you really didn’t have to. i would have been fine.”

he rolled his eyes but didn’t reply. he simply sat back in his chair and ate some of the fries that came with his burger

the hours seemed to fly by once doyoung returned

it also helped that you played music on the speaker that you brought

before you knew it, it was 5 pm and the sun was setting

you leaned back from your chair to stretch before standing and taking a good look at the sculpture

after about 4 hours of work, you were almost done

of course there were still things that needed to be touched up, like the hair and the eyes

you had decided on a pose of doyoung looking up and off into the distance

you turned and washed your hands in the sink at the back of the room

“here’s your burger if you want it. it might be a little cold, but it doesn’t have any mustard, lettuce, tomato, or pickle. that’s how you like it right?”

you smiled and blushed before grabbing the wrapped burger from his hands

you guys sat and ate in comfortable silence

once you had finished you turned to him

“if you’re ready to leave you can. i just have a few things to add but it’ll be okay if you aren’t here. i’m just about out of daylight anyway.”

he playfully cocked his head to the side and crossed his arms

“y/n. i have a feeling you’re trying to get rid of me”

“maybe i am doyoung. whatcha gonna do about it?”

you both busted up laughing

once you had calmed down you looked at him

“seriously do. if you wanna go study or sleep or something go ahead”

he stood up and began to walk closer to you

“oh stop that. y/n it isn’t a burden for me to stay here with you. i’m honored that you would choose me to be the subject of your work and i love spending my time with you”

at this point he was standing right in front of you. looking down into your eyes.

there was no hiding the redness flushing your skin

after a few moments of silence, you looked back down at your hands

he speaks again as if you two hadn’t spent the past minute just staring into each other’s eyes

“so what next? are you gonna keep sculpting me or are you gonna draw and paint a bit?”

“ummm ,,, i kinda want to just finish the sculpture so that i don’t have to worry about it ya know?”

“yeah. where is the light switch?”

“right by the corner near the door”

as he flipped on the switch and light once again flooded the room

you were able to get a good look at the sculpture

despite it not being finished, you were still incredibly happy and proud of it

you sat back down in front of it ready to finish the work

it only took another hour or two to finish once you really got back into it

you spent the bulk of the time adding in all the little details

and you also decided last minute to add a wreath atop his head and the top of a toga

you took a final step back before sighing in relief

you were finished

you almost wanted to cry

while you were staring at the piece doyoung got up to stand behind you and look at it as well

“wow y/n. it’s beautiful.”

okay so you grabbed all your stuff (with his help because doyoung is too nice to just walk beside you as you try carry 4 different bags filled with art supplies)

the walk back was kind of uneventful

you invited him in to drop all your things off before he headed out, not until you thanked him for spending the day with you and being your subject

okay so 2 weeks pass

you and doyoung meet up a few times because you need him to model a few poses for your portfolio

but FINALLY you finished your portfolio and sculpture and turned it all in

since then you have been relaxing, getting ready for winter break

well “relaxing” is a loose term

tbh you had been kinda stressed over the scores you were going to get on the artwork

and today, the day before the quarter ends, your professor would be handing back your portfolio & sculpture with a score

you decided to text doyoung after getting dismissed from class

y/n: “hey i get the score for my art project back today. do you want to meet up and we can find out together?”

doyoung: “oh my gosh yes. but are you sure you want me to be there?”

y/n: “of course do. you were such a big part of this, i couldn’t leave you out of it. besides you haven’t seen the finished portfolio”

you began to recount the tale as doyoung slowly flipped through pages of your artwork

·         “well he was the youngest of the titans, which were the creators of greek gods. it was said that he was also the kindest. when he looked upon the earth and saw how the humans were struggling, Prometheus felt pity and decided to give them a gift. he gave them a divine secret of the gods. he gave them fire. he did this despite knowing that Zeus would punish him if he found out. which he did. the other titans and gods were furious, so they tied him to a rock near the sea. every day an eagle would come and rip out prometheus’ liver and he would die. every night it would grow back bringing him back to life. this torturous routine goes on every day and night and according to the myth it continues until this day, as it will forever.”

as you finished the story doyoung closed the folder

all he said was “wow”

it made you nervous. “so ,,,,, do you like it?”

“y/n. this is beyond words. this is amazing. and you chose me?”

“well yeah i mean. you two just seemed to fit each other. you are the kindest person i know. you’re very generous too. so really it wouldn’t have worked if i had chosen anyone else or any other myth.”

he said nothing. just set down your work and hugged you.

you embraced each other. sharing this moment.
