Keeps thinking he's seeing SQQ in the corner of his eyes, or wandering between the trees, amongst a group of disciples. Thinks he hears him calling for him, but its just the wind or another disciple.

Gets Xiu Ya reforged but patently fucking refuses to make a sword mound. Because his disciple Is Not Dead :))) There was No Body. He's Not Dead. And If You keep Insisting That He Is, He's Gonna Skewer You :). He's holding onto Xiu Ya so he can return his most favored disciple's sword when he returns. It's on his hip right next to Zheng Yang where it's supposed to be.

Also this motherfucker?? does not sleep btw. He has the image of SQQ, wide eyed and hysterical and standing at the mouth of the abyss burned into his fucking eyelids. Can't use the dreamscape to escape it either because he keeps trying to save him and either he does and it's an incredibly cruel trick to wake up to, or he doesn't and he gets his heart broken in several different pieces again.

There is no convincing this man that Shen Qingqiu is dead. Absolutely nothing at all. He is buried so deep in denial that moles would be jealous of how deep he is. He keeps making tea for two in the bamboo house only to remember that it's just him. SQQ's fans are hiding everywhere, little reminders of his presence. He goes to wake up SQQ on the mornings he sleeps in-- only to find the room empty.

I had to design and illustrate an underground city for my concept art class, and decided to go with subterranean aliens building a vertical metropolis! I’m very inexperienced and no real good with xenobiology, so they ended up like walmart brand bug ferrets….. but I’m definitely happy with the style of architecture!!

originally had a super long multi paragraph ramble about this written out but then realized i did not have to say all that . anyway . i think that the reason some little animal guy sonic characters have last names while most others just go by (name) the (species) has to do with cultural differences... the fact that the characters with last names are also the same characters who have more human sounding first names makes me think that they were born in an area that had a large human population, or that their parents or grandparents were, so their family was influenced by human naming practices

found this draft of a lumity christmas fic earlier. i wanted to write a romcom, apparently. mad at myself for hardly having anything written for it because i kinda like it?? anyway rough draft-ish thing bc im bored

It was never a question Luz thought about. Not that she'd ever thought of said topic, but the conversation of romance rarely flocked to her brain quite like other things in her life. Sure, it seemed all fun and dandy to watch or read about it, but it just… It just didn’t seem all that appealing compared to fantasy books. She’d felt those feelings before, but it didn’t interest her in the same way that her favorite hobbies did. Romance never seemed to be a priority. She was wholeheartedly fine with that fact too. There were her friends, and of course… her siblings. And of course… Amity Blight. And Luz, as much as she wanted to scoop the entire conversation beneath the metaphorical rug in her brain, remembers the fact that there very much wasn’t a way to avoid the topic forever. Especially if your younger sister is “hounding” you for the little details of your very much non-existent love life in the given moment. Did she need to know that? No, but yet for some reason–despite Luz knowing the reason–she wanted to. Damn her for being so insufferable this time of year, if it were any different; Luz would’ve ditched her to binge anime or a rewatch of Azura 4. Not in a mean spirited fashion though, Luz very much loved her. It was just a sort’ve “Why must you make me talk about the feelings in which I so do not have for my best friend” thing. Maybe the question hadn’t been directly referencing Amity per say, but if the conversation of romance came up; Luz didn’t trust herself not to slip up. “You are so hopeless, you know that?” “What? Why?” Vee stammered. Her frame is draped against the back of the couch across from her, legs bent inward at the knee with the red and white fuzzy snowflake blanket covering her pajama pants. Of which blanket had been laid out once they changed the room around for the adorned and decorated Christmas tree. "I was just wondering, you know? Hypothetically, what holiday would you want to fall in love during?" They're both waiting for Lucia to get back with breakfast as she'd gone to grab doughnuts in place for the lack of food in the fridge, and yet somehow in the process, a rerun Hallmark movie had slipped on TV. Her phone took up the spot in her hand however as Luz mindlessly scrolled through it. She gave a small grunt and shifted in her spot with a loud exasperated sigh

you know realizing that the only reason I like indigo park more then its' contemporaries is cause it has like. at least one single endearing character. I feel like part of the reason a lot of mascot horror games are so boring is cause they supplement any and all actual characters with just lore lore lore lol

I love To Helicon and Back so much. Gabrielle leading armies is like my favourite thing, and I love the D-Day war film aesthetic lol, there's something very satisfying about seeing that whole noble charge into death vibe perfectly pastiched but with a bunch of women instead of men.

And it's just so satisfyingly dark for Gabrielle. The ep pulls no punches lol, she's gotta make the calls, she's gotta send specific people out to sacrifice themselves, she's gotta feed corpses to sharks, she's gotta demote Varia herself, all while epically dodging explosions. imo season 6 really does nail the sort of Xena Gabrielle roleswap in which Xena's learned the value of peace and Gabrielle's drawn into bloodshed, and this ep perfectly illustrates that.

The "To a strong Amazon nation" bookends are so effective.

lol though at how every Amazon is wearing their classic bikini style outfits except for like, the one northern Amazon queen who gets to be fully clothed. There's something funny about the consistent worldbuilding there, the way the two different regions of Amazons are like on exact opposite ends of the X:WP cheesecake scale.

A few first impressions of Caleb (from a Sylus girlie/neutral observer of Caleb):

He's cute, fun, and charming. The vibe with MC feels familiar like wearing a worn but comfy sweater.

Makes me want to believe in falling in love with your bestie trope just because they seem to read each other so well. He knows and appreciates sneak hug attacks. This is that childhood friends trope is not my preferred but better than other stuff like the red flag *step sibling/incest* kink ....

He has some of the most loving and romantic poses in the Glint photo booth; congrats to the Caleb girlies. It just looks intimate and special.

Finally, I hope that if there is a more angsty/betrayal arc (still haven't played through his updated main) it's gonna really hurt. Because when he is sweet, he is the sweetest best guy friend you could have or ever want. And whether or not he was involved in "Gran's" death, nothing can convince me from what we know of her past that it wasn't karmic...

In summary, he is quite adorable. Not sure if the "yandere" aspects will come out, but so far, he's a gem.

(For me, it will be a test if he can win over my MC since Sylus still has my heart and all the yearning locked down. He may become another dear fave.)

The way Reina calls Jin "senpai" is obviosuly mocking, but it's kinda creepy... I don't like it at all. I understand why Kazuya reacts to her the way he does, the girl is just... off-putting. I feel ya, Kaz. I really do.

Maybe I wouldn't feel this way if she wasn't a literal teen who is still in high school and resembles her father so much.
