I did a redraw!! :D

I decided to redraw a drawing I made 11 months ago. So the original illustration is inspired by the different witch labyrinths in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I thought it would be fun to redraw this since the original piece was made in Autodesk Sketchbook and I wanted to see what I could do in Clip Studio Paint.

Tennotober 2024 Day 14: Void

From the broiling sea of caustic light

New forms emerge and now take flight

This actually started as part of a school assignment where we had to pick a prismatic piece, make a 12 color palette from it, and then use those colors to make a new piece (as well as a recreation of the original piece but i haven't done that yet oop)

More process and context details below the cut!

I chose this piece from page 114 of the book "The Art of Warframe." God I love this piece. (this is a phone photo scan i took from the book so it's not original quality, still cool though!)

I then made this palette from it, lots of yellows and oranges but also some really beautiful blues and even purple!

(so sorry for all the flashing white frames idk why krita does that)

I then made this abstract piece and I loved the process! No adjustment filters, no layer modes, just the original 12 colors and many unnamed layers lol

...then i got carried away with stacked adjustment filters lmao, but it resulted in the top piece as well as the alts below!

Original assignment adjusted slightly for more saturation and more warmth.

Then adjusted in an attempt to match the typical void colors found in Warframe, as well as adding some small Duviri forms.

Then I found that combining the filters in certain ways made for much more appealing colors, so this is what I went with for the Tennotober prompt!

This one was just for fun lol

anyways uh maybe I'll do more Tennotober pieces, but I think they'll be kinda more like this one where they circumstantially fit cause I have that true warframe player mindset of grinding multiple goals within the same work lol
