Tumblr media
》VIKTOR
He always struggled with self-esteem issues, mainly due to his sickness and disability that made it difficult for him to do much. A part of him forever will believe that you could easily do better than him, yet that doesn't stop him from getting terribly jealous anytime someone gets too friendly with you. Especially when they can see him standing next to you clearly being your partner as well.
But despite his insecurities, he doesn't allow anyone to harass you either on his watch. He lets you defend yourself for the most part until he has enough and lets his more sassy side handle the flirtatious person for you. He may not be able to do anything in a physical way, something he very much would rather avoid. But his tongue is sharp, and it takes little to make them quickly scurry away with a nervous apology for the disturbance.
He'll never admit to being jealous, however, and denies any teasing accusations you send his way. But he'll secretly ask for reassurance as he starts feeling embarrassed over his insecurities rather quickly after. A couple of hugs and kisses from your side will fix that right up, though.
Tumblr media
》JAYCE
He has a reputation to keep up. And so, technically, he should always handle things professionally no matter what. People are watching him after all, and his public image can not be tarnished under any circumstance... or so he says. Things change in his mind when they are about you. In general, people know who you are and who you belong to since he rarely shuts up about it.
But every now and then, someone who is somehow unfamiliar with this concept will come up to you and attempt to woo you right in front of his very eyes. Now, Jayce tries to let you handle yourself, but doesn't hesitate to step in either if the person doesn't get the hint. His rather intimidating frame and position as a councilor help him out Immensely with this. He chases them away with a tight smile and a kiss to your head, as he casually asks how he can oh so graciously help them.
Once they leave, he'll pretend not to hear you, of you teasingly asking him if he was jealous. Him? Jealous? Hah! Impossible... okay, maybe a little. But don't tell anyone that.
Tumblr media
》VI
As a pitfighter, Vi doesn't hesitate to get violent with anyone who comes close to the only good thing she has left in her life, which happens to be you. She's extremely protective and makes sure everyone gets the hint regarding who you belong to. But alas, there are always the couple strays that refuse to comprehend that fact and therefore attempt to "steal" you away from her. Something that never ends well for anyone.
Her temper is shorter than it used to be, and that becomes quite clear when she's quick to loom over the person that was pestering you. She knows that you can handle yourself just fine, too. But that doesn't stop her from grabbing their shoulder and asking them if she can help them out instead. Or maybe they want to talk it out in the pit? All the same to her, but the message is clear. She'll win if it comes to you every time, and that's enough to make the person scurry away in terror.
You'll definitely have to calm her down and reassure that you had everything handled. She's just looking out for you, though, and doesn't want you to get hurt, too, like everyone else in her life. The last thing she wants is to mess up again, so her overprotective tendencies will probably never lessen. Not that you kind anyways.
Tumblr media
》CAITLYN
Your role as her partner is crystal clear to absolutely everyone in Piltover, especially after she takes over the troops as their new ruler. She's much more cutthroat and cold than she used to be before her mothers death, which made her extremely overprotective of you and your safety. She may even be suffocating at times with her security measures, but she finds it absolutely necessary. This also means, however, that those who try becoming a bit too friendly with you are always at risk of facing her wrath.
She doesn't hold back with her dismay and is quick to stand before you with a dark, stern glare directed at whoever was flirting with you beforehand. Caitlyn doesn't care if you can take care of yourself or not either. She'll take full advantage of her new position and power too, not hesitating to give the person that was pestering you a professionally worded threat that leaves them as pale as a ghost.
Admittedly, it's hard to tell if she's jealous or just worried in her own way. Before her mother's death, it may very well just be her being a bit jealous... but with her current position, she may also just be afraid to lose you too deep down. And she couldn't handle that.
Tumblr media
》JINX
After Silco's death, Jinx's temper is milder than before due to her deteriorating mental health (if there was anything left of it to begin with). She's a lot calmer when handling situations and seeming more calculated than before, but that certainly doesn't quell the extreme abandonment issues in her at any rate. If anything, they've become much worse than before. This means that she'll cling to you and snap at anyone who nears you. No one is allowed to steal your attention away from her. No one can take you away from her. She just won't allow it when you're all she has left.
And so, she won't hesitate to use her gun on anyone who is pestering you. A death threat or two usually gets the point across anyway. Jinx will also let you handle yourself first, however though, knowing you can easily do that. But if things do get out of hand, she will step right to scare them away at best. She'd never kill anyone infront of you after all. She doesn't want to scare you away.
You'll have to reassure her of your loyalty a lot afterward, however, as her insecurities and issues can make her spiral fairly easily. Giving her a lot of attention and love makes everything go away, though, luckily.
Tumblr media
》SEVIKA
She's very secure in your relationship and trusts you perfectly fine, which is why she rarely ever gets jealous. Why should she, anyway, when you'll always come back to her at the end of the day? Besides, people in the lanes know who you are and who you belong to, and most importantly, what will happen to their faces once she bashes them in if they ever harass you too much.
With that said, though, she typically lets you do your own thing and chase the person away yourself first before bothering to step in. If things get out of hand, then she'll suddenly be right behind you and tower over whoever it is that's not getting the hint. Blowing smoke right into their faces, she'll ask them if they have a problem, and if yes, then they should take it up with her outside. Although everyone knows she's the only one back afterwards. This usually does the trick.
Don't expect her to ever say that she is jealous, though, and hopes you know better, too. She knows you're loyal, as she certainly is for life and therefore doesn't worry about a thing regarding the strength of your relationship.
No one is better than her anyway.

You were the kind of girl folks counted on.
Always had been.
Ran your daddy’s general store with a steady hand and a sharp head for numbers. Never late to open, never short on change. You knew what folks needed before they asked. Darning needles, cane syrup, extra tobacco for the older men who swore they were quitting but never really tried. Folks came in more for you than the goods, if they were honest. You smiled easy. Listened well. Learned their names, their kids’ names, and how they liked their goods bagged.
You had a tight circle of friends, girls you’d known since church bonnets and petticoats. Played games on the porch after Sunday school and swapped lipstick behind the store when your daddy wasn’t looking. They called you the smart one. The grounded one. The kind that could hold a whole household together with one hand while balancing the day’s receipts in the other. They said if any of them were gonna marry a good man, it’d be you.
But somehow, that wasn’t the way the road bent.
You were always the one they leaned on. The one who helped fix their hems and cooled their heartbreaks and made sure they got home safe. But when they talked about love, the soft parts, the burning ones, the kind of hunger that made your hands tremble, they never looked at you.
You weren’t the girl men chased after. Just the one who made things easier.
And still, somehow, you were the one he chose.
He came in on a Tuesday.
Dead of night, just before closing. Long shadows bleeding in through the windows, sun already tucked behind the treeline, store mostly empty save for the sound of your broom brushing across the floorboards. You’d flipped the sign but hadn’t locked up yet. Wasn’t late enough to feel nervous.
Not until the bell over the door chimed, and he stepped through.
A white man.
Tall. Pale. Not from around here. And not the type of man who came this far across town, not without a reason. He didn’t belong on your side of the county line. Not unless he was lost. Not unless he meant trouble.
But if he was aware of how out of place he looked, he didn’t show it. He walked in easy. Calm. Hands in his coat pockets and a smile that curved slow and deliberate. He looked right at you, only you, and said,
“Evenin’, miss.”
Polite. Warm. Like this was a place, a side of town, he frequented.
He asked for flour. Then matches. Then something sweet. Said he had a long road ahead of him, but never said where it led. Moved like he had all the time in the world. Studied the shelves like they held more than goods. Like he was trying to learn something about you in the way you stocked your soap and stacked your salt.
His accent was Southern, but different. Smooth, syrupy, with a twist to his vowels, like every word had traveled through someplace older, foreign, before landing in his mouth. He didn’t speak like a man passing through. Spoke like a man digging roots. And when he left, he touched two fingers to the brim of a hat he didn’t wear, like tipping it to you was instinct.
You locked the door behind him. Stood for a moment, broom still in hand, wondering what to make of it.
Then he came back the next night.
And the next.
Always right before closing. Always alone.
He brought little things each time. His name, Remmick, the second time around. An odd name, you thought.
A ribbon he said reminded him of your favorite dress, even though you hadn’t told him which one it was. A book of poems with pages marked and underlined, left at the counter with a quiet “Thought ya might like this one.” A jar of thick, dark honey that looked more like molasses, wrapped in cloth and twine like a gift.
Remmick never lingered too long. Never pushed for more than you were willing to give. Just watched. Listened. Laid compliments at your feet like offerings. Not greasy or crude, but precise. Gentle. Like he meant every word and had studied you long enough to know they’d land.
Said you had a voice that sounded like morning.
Said you were the only person in town worth a real conversation.
Said you smiled like it meant something.
You rolled your eyes. Called him too much.
But you didn’t tell him to stop.
No one had ever looked at you like that before.
Like you were worth slowing down for.
And piece by piece, the walls you’d built without knowing cracked beneath the weight of his gaze.
And slowly, your world started to tilt.
Not all at once.
Just by degrees.
Like a house shifting its weight before the foundation gives.
Your friends never met him. Not once. But they could tell something had changed. The way you smiled at nothing when they were mid-sentence. The way your gaze would drift toward the door, or to the windows, or to some place in your head they couldn’t reach. You weren’t sharing like you used to. Not your stories, not your time.
Still, they were happy for you. At first. Said it must be something special, if you were keeping it close. But even then, there was a pause in their voices when they said it. A little squint in the eyes. A little too much emphasis on the word special.
They’d always said you were the one who’d settle down first. The one with the good head. The one who’d choose someone kind and steady, someone who knew what it meant to take care of a woman like you.
But you never gave them a name.
Never said what he looked like, what he did, where he came from.
And eventually, they stopped asking.
Your parents noticed the shift too.
Your mama stopped by more often. Just to check in, she'd say. But her voice always started a little high-pitched when she'd talk. Like she could see something in you she didn’t have the words for. Your daddy didn’t say much at all, but you could feel his silence stretching between you every time he stopped by the shop and found you humming without noticing, sorting flour bags with a smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes.
You told them everything was fine.
Told yourself the same.
And it was. He said it was.
Remmick always had a way of making the world sound simpler than it was.
He made you feel beautiful. Sharp. Like the only person in the room worth speaking to.
Like his person.
And the things he said. God, the things he said.
Said you had the kind of soul people wrote songs about. That no one else had ever understood you the way he did. That all your life, people had been trying to water you down. Make you smaller, quieter, more convenient.
But he saw you.
And you believed him.
Of course you did.
He didn’t like your friends, though. Said they talked too much. Said they didn’t get you. Said you always came back from seeing them with your shoulders a little tighter, your voice a little more unsure. That they didn’t want you to grow. That they only loved you when you stayed the version of yourself they could manage.
He said it so sweetly, like it hurt him to say it.
Like it was breaking his heart.
And when he asked, gently, softly, with his fingers stroking the inside of your wrist, if you could spend a little less time with them, it didn’t feel like control.
It felt like care.
He missed you, after all.
He needed you.
And you wanted to be needed.
God help you, you did.
So you let them drift.
One by one.
Until their names felt strange on your tongue.
He said your parents were too involved. Too nosy. Said you were grown now. Said their worries weren’t yours to carry. And when you stopped accepting your mama's visits, when you quit your job at your daddy's general store despite the heartbroken look on his face, it didn’t feel like abandonment. Not then.
It felt like love.
Like a cocoon being spun around something precious.
When he asked you to come stay with him, it didn’t feel like a decision.
Just the next step in the story he was writing for you both.
The manor was beautiful. Isolated. A pristine, white-columned thing hidden deep in the Delta, so far from town it didn’t even register on some maps. Every plank of wood polished. Every curtain soft and silent in the breeze. The kind of place where your voice echoed even when you whispered. Where the sky stretched endless above you, dark and wide and brimming with stars you hadn’t seen in years.
He said it would be safer this way. Quieter. Easier to breathe.
You believed him.
You believed everything he said.
And he rewarded that belief.
The room he gave you was sun-soaked and clean, decorated with strange antiques and velvet-upholstered chairs that looked too expensive to sit in but felt right under you. He stocked the closet with dresses in your size before you ever mentioned needing new clothes. Or giving him your measurements. Set your favorite tea on the windowsill beside a stack of your favorite books.
“Just figured ya’d need some comfort, darlin’,” he said, planting featherlight kisses on your hands. “A woman like you deserves softness.”
You told yourself it was kind. Thoughtful.
You didn’t think to ask how he knew what you liked.
Not until later.
By then, it had already begun.
The soft steps outside your door at night.
The feeling of being watched. Not cruelly. Not even threateningly. But deliberately. Like the world outside had narrowed down to two hearts and one house, and all of it was his.
He made sure you loved him. Or at least that you needed him too badly to leave.
And if someone asked you when the line was crossed,
You couldn’t say.
You never even saw it pass beneath your feet.
Until the night he came home with blood on his shirt.
Not a smear. Not a spot.
Soaked.
Dark and wet and clinging, like the cotton had drunk its fill and was still greedy. His cuffs were stiff with it. His collar painted red. There were flecks on his throat, droplets drying like freckles, and his hands dripped steadily onto the hardwood, drawing crimson lines in a path that led straight to you.
He didn’t speak right away.
Just stood there in the doorway of the sitting room, chest rising slow. Watching you.
There was no panic in his eyes. No guilt. Just a feverish gleam, like he’d returned from something holy and wasn’t quite ready to step down from the altar.
You froze where you were. Half-curled on the sofa, book in hand, mouth parting without sound.
He stepped inside and told you the man's name. Simply. As if announcing the weather.
You blinked.
He smiled. Small. Serene.
“Didn’t suffer long.”
You screamed.
Loud. Unfiltered. Scrambled back until your spine hit the armrest, and the book hit the floor with a thud that didn’t register beneath the roar of your pulse.
He didn’t flinch.
Didn’t apologize.
Just watched you with that same slow-burning affection he always wore, like this was something you would come to understand in time. Like it was natural. Expected. A truth you’d learn to live inside.
When your voice cracked from shouting no, when your sobs doubled over into heaves, he knelt.
Right there. Blood and all.
He didn’t bother to wash his hands first. Didn’t even take off his coat. He just knelt at your feet like a knight returning from battle, like something ancient and humbled and sure of its place.
“Don’t cry, sugar,” he hummed, reaching for you.
You pulled back.
Didn’t matter.
He closed the gap gently, slowly, as if calming a startled animal.
“Wasn’t for no reason,” he said, voice low and honey-thick. “Ya believe that, don’t ya?”
You shook your head. Weak.
And still, when his bloodied hand cupped your face, you didn’t pull away fast enough.
“There’s things ya don’t know,” he whispered. “Things I can’t tell ya yet. But ya don’t need to know them to be mine.”
You tried to twist free. Failed. His grip was firm, but not cruel.
He pressed his forehead to yours.
The wet heat of him radiated through your clothes as he leaned in close, shoulders still trembling with leftover adrenaline. You could smell it. Copper and something else. Something rich. Like old rust and soil and bone. Like the breath of something deep in the earth that hadn’t surfaced in a long, long time.
He exhaled slow.
“I ain’t want to scare ya,” he said. “But I had to show ya.”
You didn’t speak.
You couldn’t.
“Because this is me,” he continued. “This is what I am. And if ya love me, if ya mean what y’said, then ya have to see all of me.”
“I never said I loved you,” you almost answered.
But the words didn’t come.
Because his hand moved then.
Not to your neck. Not to hurt.
But to your collar.
He brushed the fabric aside, dragging the edge of his sleeve across your skin.
And the blood marked you.
He wiped it deliberately. Across your jaw. The hollow of your throat. The slope of your collarbone.
You gasped, jerking instinctively, but he only shushed you like he was soothing a frightened child.
“Shh,” he cooed. “Just want ya to wear a little of me. That’s all.”
His voice was trembling now. With restraint. With something else.
“I’m not angry,” he added, and it was true. “I’d never hurt ya. Not ever. You’re the only thing in this world I couldn’t break if I tried.”
And you believed him.
That was the worst part.
He leaned back finally, just enough to look you full in the face.
You were streaked in red.
Your cheeks damp with tears.
And he smiled.
Not wide.
Not cruel.
Just soft.
Like it was all going to be okay.
“Y’don’t have to help,” he said. “Not tonight.”
You didn’t answer.
He rose, slow and deliberate, and walked to the kitchen to wash. You sat frozen. Couldn’t bring yourself to look down at your hands.
When the water ran, you heard him humming again. That same lullaby cadence he always used when he thought you were asleep. And when he called your name, voice gentle, it wasn’t a summons.
It was a question.
And you answered.
You stepped into the kitchen on legs that didn’t feel like yours, and you helped him mop the floor. Scrub the blood from the baseboards. You didn’t ask what he did with the body.
You didn’t want to know.
But you watched the way he scrubbed his nails clean, the way his eyes softened whenever he looked at you.
And you didn’t leave.
Not that night.
Not the next.
Now, months later, the blood doesn’t shock you like it used to. You don’t ask who. You don’t ask why. You just wait by the door with towels and vinegar and steady hands.
You still don’t watch him do it. Never have.
But he always leaves the door cracked open.
Just a little.
Just in case.
The house is quiet now. Filled with the sound of dripping water, your own heartbeat, and the hushed, weary creak of the manor’s bones.
He doesn’t pretend to be human anymore.
Not around you.
He lets the teeth stay long, the nails a little sharper. Lets you see the red light behind his eyes when the moonlight hits right.
And still, he kisses you goodnight.
Brushes your curls back from your face.
Tells you you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
And when he says it, you believe him.
You are the best thing he’s ever had.
And he’s made damn sure you’ll never leave.
Tumblr media
You woke to the feeling of being watched.
Not the vague kind. Not a creeping hunch. No. This was the real kind. Deep and certain, rooted in the marrow of your bones like an old warning. It had shape now, weight. You knew it as easily as breath.
And sure enough, when your lashes parted and the room slowly unblurred, there he was.
Remmick stood over you like some towering monument carved out of shadow, tall and still and all but glowing in the thin streak of dawnlight filtering in through the curtain seam. His shirt hung half-open, pale chest streaked faintly with water. He must’ve bathed again before slipping in. His hair, dark and heavy, was still damp at the ends, dripping in slow intervals down the edge of his throat.
His jaw was slightly parted. And at the corner of his mouth, just barely catching the light, sat a thick bead of drool.
Not blood.
Just spit.
But too much of it. An unnatural amount.
Like he’d been watching you sleep for a long, long while and hadn’t once closed his mouth.
Sizing you up.
You didn’t flinch.
Not anymore.
Instead, you shifted slowly beneath the blankets, tucking your arms beneath your cheek. Your voice was low, rough with sleep. “You been there long?”
His eyes lit like someone had sparked a fuse. And then that crooked grin curled across his face, proud and toothy. Too many teeth for such a soft expression.
“Couldn’t help it,” he drawled, voice slow and lazy at the edges. “Ya look so pretty when you sleep.”
You huffed quietly. It wasn’t really a laugh, but it wasn’t a complaint either. You didn’t pull the blankets higher. Didn’t hide. Just turned your face into the pillow to block the light.
Behind you, the mattress dipped under his weight.
He climbed in slow, but sure. As he always did, never asking if you needed the space. You felt the heat of him even before he touched you. Always too cold when he wasn’t holding you, always too much when he was.
One arm slipped under your waist. The other folded over your middle. And then he was there, wrapped around you like a vise, breath ghosting against your neck, chest rising and falling in sync with your own. You could feel the edge of his belt buckle press into your lower back, the weight of his thigh hooked over yours, the solidness of his body where it pressed along every inch of you.
You should’ve felt caged.
Sometimes you did.
But this morning, you just felt still. Heavy. Grounded.
He kissed the back of your shoulder. Once. Then again, slower.
You closed your eyes and listened.
“Made breakfast,” he murmured against your skin. “Berries. Biscuits. Got that jam ya like. And tea. Not the bitter one. The kind with the hibiscus.”
You didn’t answer right away.
Didn’t move either.
Just lay there with the weight of him curled around your body, his words threading through the fog in your mind. Your limbs felt like wet cotton, and your heart… well, it didn’t race anymore when he held you like this. It just kept time. Careful. Steady.
Some mornings were like this.
Gentle. Sweet. The world in perfect balance, even if it was only for a breath.
Others weren’t.
There were days where something in him just… shifted.
No warning. No clear offense. Just a quiet closing of the door between you. A change in the air.
He wouldn’t look at you.
Wouldn’t speak.
You’d move through the house like a ghost in your own skin, tiptoeing around the silence. You'd replay every moment from the days before in your head like a broken record, trying to pinpoint the crack. The wrong word. The wrong breath. You whispered his name sometimes, just to see if he’d flinch.
He never did.
And the longer it lasted, the more desperate you got.
You’d sit at the edge of the bed, fingers clenched in your lap, watching the door anxiously. Or trail behind him through the house, trying to make yourself useful. Fixing his tea, folding the blankets, laying out the towels just the way he liked them. Hoping he’d notice. Hoping it’d be enough.
It never was.
Sometimes you cried.
Most of the time, you did.
Not loud. Just soft and constant, curled into a corner of the couch, the fabric beneath you growing damp from the weight of it all. You didn’t ask him to come back. You just wanted him to see.
And eventually, once the sun had vanished and the stars were out, once you were past the tears and into the shaking, silent part of grief, he would return.
Not from outside.
Just from wherever he’d gone inside himself.
He’d find you there, face raw, eyes swollen, mouth trembling with all the things you couldn’t say.
And he’d kneel.
Press his hands to your knees. Pull your face up to his.
He used to wipe your tears, once. With the pads of his thumbs. Gentle. Sweet.
But not anymore.
Now he licked them.
Dragged his tongue across your cheeks, pleased sounds always escaping his mouth as if he was tasting a delicacy.
“Ain’t mean it,” he’d whisper. “Ain’t mean to go so cold, darlin’.”
You never asked why he did it.
You just nodded.
And let the licks turn into kisses.
You tried not to think too hard on those days.
Because when he was good to you?
He was perfect.
Like now.
You felt his fingers shift under your nightdress, splaying wide over your stomach like he was anchoring himself with the shape of you.
“Ya smell like sunlight,” he whispered, almost in awe. “Like warmth. Like somethin’ I wanna keep forever.”
He didn’t say it to get a rise out of you.
He meant it.
He always meant it.
You could feel the edge of a smile pull at your mouth, but it didn’t quite reach the surface. It never did on mornings like this. You couldn’t tell if it was dread or hope that kept it from blooming fully.
He kissed your hair.
“Ya awake?”
You gave the smallest nod.
He chuckled, breath warm and steady against your ear.
“Come eat, baby. Gotta keep ya strong.”
You nodded again.
And let him pull you out of bed.
Because that’s what you did on good days.
You let yourself be loved.
He led you down to the kitchen like you were the only woman in the world who’d ever deserved to be walked anywhere.
His palm rested against the small of your back, guiding, not pushing, and he moved with slow, deliberate steps like each one was part of some silent ceremony only he knew the meaning of. You didn’t rush. You never did, not with him. It didn’t feel right to.
The kitchen was already warm with sunlight slanting through the curtains, soft and hazy, painting the wooden floorboards gold. The stove clicked gently as the kettle cooled. Something citrusy hung in the air alongside the hibiscus. Orange peel or lemon zest, maybe. It was always hard to tell with him. He had a way of combining scents until they no longer smelled like anything but home.
He pulled your chair out for you.
Waited for you to sit.
Then served your plate himself.
He’d made the biscuits from scratch. Just the way you liked them, topped with honey and butter. A few berries had burst open on the side of the pan, their juices bleeding into the crust like bruises, and he placed those pieces carefully at the edge of your plate, like he knew you’d want them last.
There were eggs, too. Soft-scrambled, barely set. And jam. The good kind, dark and smooth and homemade.
He didn’t eat, of course. He never did.
But he sat across from you, arms folded on the table, chin resting on one hand as he watched.
Not like a man waiting for praise.
Like a man watching a miracle.
You didn’t feel self-conscious anymore. Not the way you used to. Not even when he studied the curve of your fingers or the way your mouth parted slightly with each bite. Not when his eyes lingered on the bridge of your nose, the full shape of your lips, the high frame of your cheekbones. Features that other men overlooked, or worse, tried to make smaller. Not when he traced your every movement like he was trying to memorize it.
Just warm.
Maybe a little shy.
But warm.
“You’re gonna spoil me,” you said after a few moments, tone light and quiet.
His mouth curved. “Good.”
You raised a brow, chewing. “That all you gonna say?”
He leaned forward slightly, elbows on the table. “What else is there? A woman like ya’s worth spoilin’. Worth feedin’. Worth watchin’. I get more outta sittin’ across from ya than most men get in a lifetime.”
Your breath caught.
You didn’t mean for it to. You knew he liked that kind of reaction. Thrived off it. But still, it happened. He had a way of saying things that left you undone. Like he meant them. Like there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that it was true.
You swallowed and looked down at your plate.
Let yourself smile.
Just a little.
That was the danger of mornings like this. The sweetness. The calm.
You’d forget, just for a moment, what he was.
Let your guard slip.
And he’d let you. That was the worst part.
He never forced it.
Never had to.
“I’ll be headin’ out later,” he said, finally breaking the stillness. “Just before sundown.”
You glanced up. “Errands?”
He nodded. “Might be a while.”
You waited, hoping he’d elaborate.
He didn’t.
You didn’t press.
Not because you trusted him, not completely, but because you wanted to. Needed to. Trust was a gift, and he treated it like one. Collected it. Stroked it. Cradled it in his arms like something he’d stolen.
He reached across the table and brushed his knuckles down the side of your face.
You leaned into it.
Didn’t mean to.
But you didn’t pull away either.
He tilted his head. Studied you.
“I’ll bring ya back somethin’ nice,” he said. “New necklace, maybe. Somethin’ that'll bring out that pretty mouth of yours.”
You blinked. “You don’t have to-”
“I want to.” His hand slid down your arm, resting over your wrist. “Ya always act like ya ain’t allowed to be treated soft. But I told ya already, anybody that didn’t see your worth before me was blind.”
You didn’t respond.
You didn’t have to.
He leaned in and kissed your forehead. Soft. Gentle. Reverent.
And for a second, everything felt so normal.
So painfully, heartbreakingly normal.
Like this was just a house.
Like he was just a man.
Like you were just a girl in love, waiting for the evening to fall.
You let yourself stay in the moment a little longer.
Finished your tea in slow sips.
Let him watch you.
And prayed that the quiet wouldn’t turn. That tomorrow wouldn’t shift. That tonight, God willing, tonight would still be kind.

You knew better than to believe in quiet mornings.
Not here. Not with him.
Still, the stillness of the day had tricked you. It had crept in through the floorboards and settled into your chest, soft as fog, convincing you that peace might last. That today would stay gentle. Safe.
He’d been kind all morning. Sweet, even. Kissed your shoulder while you dressed. Detangled your hair with slow, worshipful hands. Called you baby in that voice like melted sugar as he danced with you to a jazz record. It had been so easy to believe in the calm, to believe he meant it.
But peace, in this house, was never given.
Only loaned.
You’d spent the day in the parlor, patching a hem that didn’t really need fixing, listening to the wind scratch against the shutters. He passed through every hour or so, always with something to say.
“Ya look so soft in this light.”
“That color’s real pretty on ya.”
Always with a kiss to your hairline. A graze of his fingers at your elbow. And you let him.
You let him.
Because it was a good day.
Until it wasn’t.
Remmick lit the lamps earlier than usual. Shadows hadn’t even grown long across the floor yet, but he moved like he couldn’t stand the dim. A low, strange hum sat under his breath. His movements were slow but measured, pressing the collar of his shirt, combing his hair with surgical care. He changed into a dark button-up, freshly pressed, the fabric stiff and lined with faint charcoal pinstripes. He didn’t fasten the top button. Let his collarbone show. The buttons themselves were a pale ivory, too round and too polished to be anything but bone.
He didn’t speak while he dressed.
Didn’t look at you, either.
But when he passed you near the kitchen door, he paused. Tilted your chin up. Kissed your forehead like a benediction. His lips were too warm, too careful.
“Be good while I’m gone,” he said.
And that was all.
The door opened hours later, at a time when you had long retired to your bedroom.
Not with a knock. Not with warning.
Just the quiet creak of the front door swinging open.
You didn’t recognize the man who entered. Not at first.
Older. White. Expensive. That was the word that came to mind first. Expensive. The coat, the cane, the posture. He moved like he owned everything he looked at, and when his eyes slid over the staircase where you watched from just out of view, he barely registered you at all.
He smelled of clean money and fragrant cologne. His voice, when he spoke, had a practiced warmth. Used to making deals, used to being obeyed.
Remmick welcomed him like an old friend. No introductions. Just a nod, and a hand at the man’s back as he ushered him toward the parlor, the two of them murmuring low between each other. You didn’t catch what was said. Didn’t want to.
You slowly closed your door.
But that didn’t stop your heart from picking up.
Didn’t stop the feeling crawling into your bones. The kind that knew this was punishment, even if you didn’t know what for.
You hadn’t said anything wrong today. Hadn’t wandered too far. Hadn’t said no.
He’d kissed your forehead. Cooked for you. Danced with you.
So why?
Why this?
You sat on the edge of your bed, hands pressed to your thighs, jaw clenched until it ached. You wanted to pace, but you knew better. He hated when you fidgeted.
Time bled slowly by. A drip of unease with every second.
Then the parlor door clicked shut.
You couldn’t hear much. Just muffled voices beneath the hum of the hallway light. At first, it was civil. Calm. Two men talking. Glasses clinking. Something poured.
You stared out your window.
And then, a sound.
It didn’t come as a cry at first. Just a thump, low and heavy.
Then another.
And then it began in earnest.
The screaming didn’t start with words. It started with breath. Ragged, sharp, begging. Then the voice rose. Screamed so hard it cracked, pleaded, cursed. The sound of it ricocheted through the walls like thunder. One drawn-out, blood-curdled no, followed by a scream that didn’t end, just collapsed.
You covered your ears.
Pressed your palms so tight it made your head ring.
But nothing could drown it out.
Your whole body trembled.
Not from shock.
From knowing this was intentional.
Because he didn’t need for you to hear it.
He wanted you to.
This was never about the man in the parlor. Not really.
It was about you.
What you’d said. Or done. Or failed to do.
You didn’t know what you were being punished for.
But you felt it, in your gut.
Your punishment had a heartbeat, a voice, a body now. And it was breaking somewhere below your feet.
The screaming stopped eventually.
But the silence that followed was worse.
Because silence didn’t end anything in this house.
It only marked the beginning of the next thing.
You waited.
Not just for the screaming to stop. Not just for the silence to settle. But long after.
You waited until the walls stopped humming with sound. Until the floorboards cooled beneath your feet. Until even the wind outside held its breath.
And then,
You heard it.
The soft groan of the parlor door unlatching. A low creak. A shift in weight across the boards.
His footsteps were quiet.
Measured.
Too soft for a man who’d just done what he’d done. Like he was walking through a church. Or a dream.
You didn’t move. Stayed curled in on yourself at the edge of your bed, arms locked around your knees, eyes fixed on the door like it might rattle open any second. It didn’t.
Not yet.
You heard the stairs instead.
One. By one.
Each step slow and steady, deliberate. Like he was giving you time.
Time to compose yourself.
Time to prepare.
Time to realize nothing was going to stop him from reaching you.
The knob turned.
You hadn’t even realized your door was unlocked.
It opened with a click and a hush, and there he was.
Standing in the threshold like a vision from a fever.
Blood soaked the front of his shirt. Thick and wet in some places, half-dried and flaking in others. It clung to his throat, painted his collarbone, pooled beneath his nails. His sleeves were still rolled, but the pale skin of his forearms was nearly lost beneath the spatter. There were streaks along his jaw where he’d tried to wipe his mouth clean. Too late. Too messy. A smear of it curved across his cheekbone like a smile.
And his claws, long, edged, still drawn, glinted in the low light of your bedside lamp.
But what knocked the breath out of your chest was his face.
Calm.
Completely, terrifyingly calm.
His eyes, those strange, shifting, ancient things, shone soft in the dim. Not wild. Not frenzied.
Just… peaceful.
“Darlin’,” he said, soft as a sigh. “Can ya come here?”
His voice sounded like the morning.
Like nothing had happened at all.
You didn’t answer.
But your body moved.
You hated it. How your limbs betrayed you. How your feet swung over the edge of the bed and touched the floor. How you stepped closer to him, one foot, then another, then another, drawn toward him like gravity had chosen sides.
He didn’t move to meet you.
Just waited.
Like he knew you would come.
And when you reached the doorway, when your bare feet kissed the hallway light, that’s when he touched you.
Both hands to your face. Fingers gentle, claws grazing soft against your cheeks.
Blood smeared warm across your skin.
You flinched.
But didn’t pull away.
His thumbs brushed just beneath your eyes. Not to wipe your tears, there weren’t any yet, but to cup the place where they would be. Where he knew they would be.
“Ya did somethin’ wrong,” he whispered. “Ain’t ya?”
That broke you.
“No,” you whispered, voice breaking.
The tears came all at once. Thick. Hot. Your chest heaved and you shook your head, hands flying up to press against his wrists. “No, please- Remmick, please, I didn’t- I can’t-”
“I know,” he said.
But his grip didn’t loosen.
Your knees nearly gave. Your breath hitched.
And he leaned in close, lips almost brushing yours.
“I’m scared,” you sobbed. “Please don’t make me-”
That’s when he said it.
Soft. Sweet.
Final.
“Y’ain’t got a choice.”
The words weren’t cruel.
Weren’t laced with threat.
They sounded like a lullaby.
And then, he kissed you.
Slow. Deep. Full of pride.
The blood on his mouth smeared onto yours, warm and metallic and thick enough to make you shudder. You didn’t kiss him back. Couldn’t. But your lips parted. And that was enough.
He made a sound, something like a purr, and pulled back, smiling like you’d just said I love you.
“There ya go,” he whispered.
Then, lower: “C’mon, now. Just a little bit of help.”
You shook your head, tears streaking your cheeks.
His thumbs smeared them. Not away. Just… further. Down your face. Into your mouth. Into the collar of your nightdress.
“Remmick, please-”
“Ya can,” he said again, voice even gentler this time. “Ya will.”
And when he kissed your forehead, it didn’t feel like comfort.
It felt like surrender.
He led you to the rear hall.
Step by step.
The floorboards creaked beneath your feet, slow and drawn out like they knew what was coming. The air back here always felt colder. Damper, too. Like the walls remembered every secret ever whispered against them.
One clawed hand pressed low to your back. Not shoving. Not dragging. Just guiding. A lover’s touch, if you ignored the sharp curve of his nails and the way they caught on the cotton of your dress.
The other hand gripped something heavy. Bundled tight in a canvas sheet. Edges stiff with dried blood. You didn’t need to ask what it was.
You didn’t want to know how long it had been wrapped like that.
You didn’t want to know anything.
“Take the feet, darlin’,” he said. Soft. Encouraging. “That’s it. There ya go.”
You hesitated.
Stared at the length of fabric that formed the shape of shins, then ankles, then shoes that had once gleamed polished and proud beneath the parlor light.
The man’s feet were cold.
You flinched as your fingers made contact. Felt the stiffness through the layers. The weight of it settled like stone in your stomach.
You choked.
Your knees bent beneath you, buckling under the weight of it, legs shaking, arms burning.
“That’s alright,” Remmick said quickly, already crouched beside you again. “You’re strong. Stronger than ya think.”
He didn’t offer to take it from you.
Didn’t let you drop it either.
Just walked backward, slow and steady, leading you through the back door as the hinges groaned open.
Outside, the air hit sharp.
You breathed it in too fast. Coughed once. The scent of blood clung to your face, your hair, your hands. And beneath it, rot. Curling at the edges of the canvas like the world had already started reclaiming him.
You swallowed hard.
Walked blind behind Remmick.
The trees pressed in around you, branches brittle with late summer’s death. Moonlight pierced the canopy in sharp slivers. The path was narrow. Familiar. You’d taken it before, but never like this.
Never carrying someone.
Remmick hummed as he walked.
Low and tuneless, like it was something he didn’t know he was doing. A sound of habit. Of focus. Of ritual.
You didn’t ask how he knew where to dig.
You didn’t ask how many times he’d done this before.
You just stood there, trembling, as he knelt in the clearing and began to carve the earth apart with his hands.
Not with a shovel.
With his claws.
They split the dirt like butter, curling soil and root alike with mechanical ease. He worked fast. Efficient. With a kind of composure, almost, like he was preparing a bed, not a grave.
You stayed frozen until he glanced up at you, face slick with sweat and moonlight.
“Almost done,” he said. “Just a little more, sugar.”
He stood.
Wiped his brow with the back of one hand, smearing dirt and blood across his temple.
Then he turned to you, lips stretched into a smile.
“C’mon,” he said gently. “Let’s lay him down.”
The canvas landed with a heavy thud.
You flinched again.
He unwrapped the top half. Not all the way. Just enough for the face to show. Slack-jawed, eyes glazed, neck at the wrong angle.
Your stomach turned.
Remmick crouched again, slipped his arms beneath the man’s shoulders.
He looked up at you. Expectant.
“Go on,” he said, nodding toward the legs.
You hesitated.
“Remmick-”
Your breath caught.
“I said, go on.”
So you did.
You took a deep breath, grasped the ankles again, and followed his count.
One, two, three.
You heaved.
He lifted.
And together, you laid him in the earth.
It wasn’t graceful.
It wasn’t clean.
You gagged once and turned away, bile stinging your throat. He didn’t chastise you. Didn’t rush you. Just stood there in the moonlight, waiting, the grave yawning at his feet.
When you finally turned back, your face pale and your hands filthy, he pressed a kiss to your temple.
“Almost done.”
The dirt came next.
Heavy, clumpy, wet.
It stuck to your fingers and your wrists, coated your forearms, gathered beneath your nails like it wanted to crawl inside you.
Remmick packed the final mound himself.
Then stood.
Brushed his hands together with a soft clap.
And turned toward you.
Smiling.
Like you’d just exchanged vows.
Like something had been sealed tonight, sacred and unbreakable.
His eyes shone in the dark, wide and wild and glowing faintly red.
He cupped your face again, blood dried into the creases of his knuckles.
“Ya did good,” he whispered. “So good f’me.”
And you didn’t correct him.
Didn’t move. Couldn't.
He reached into his coat.
The gesture was slow, deliberate. Like everything with him. He could’ve pulled out anything. A blade, a scrap of skin, a love letter scrawled in someone else’s blood, and part of you would’ve just watched, quiet and ready.
But instead, his hand came back gloved in shadow and something glinting beneath a soaked cloth.
He held it out to you. Waiting.
“I brought ya a gift,” he said, voice low and soft, almost shy. Like he was offering you a bouquet.
You didn’t answer.
Just stared.
The fabric, silk, maybe, once cream, was red now. Mottled. It clung wetly to whatever was wrapped inside, dark lines seeping into the seams.
He unwrapped it slowly.
Bit by bit.
Like unveiling something sacred.
A necklace.
Sapphire, deep and cold, surrounded by a constellation of diamonds so small and fine they looked like frozen tears. The pendant caught the moonlight, sparkled like a drop of river water in the sun.
But the chain, thin and gold, was streaked with blood. Still tacky. Still warm.
He held it up between both hands, letting the pendant sway gently between you.
“Belonged to his wife,” he said.
His eyes never left your face.
“Don’t worry. She didn’t put up much of a fight.”
Your breath hitched.
He said it like a kindness.
Like a mercy.
You didn’t ask what he meant. Not exactly. Didn’t ask if that meant she begged. Or wept. Or just stood there, quiet, waiting for her turn.
You didn’t want to know.
You never did.
He stepped closer.
The necklace still dangling in his hand, catching on his fingers. Blood smeared his palm now. Streaked down his wrist. You didn’t move as he reached up, lifted the chain, heavy and wet, and looped it behind your neck.
His fingers were careful.
Precise.
He fastened it with a soft click, the clasp brushing the nape of your neck, cold as a knife.
Then he stepped back. Just a little.
“There,” he whispered, his voice nearly trembling. “Look at ya. My beautiful girl.”
You didn’t look down.
Didn’t touch it.
You felt the weight of it though. The cold metal against your chest. The stick of half-dried blood just beneath your collarbone.
He kissed your cheek next.
Then your jaw.
Then your mouth.
Soft. Tender.
Loving.
Like a reward.
Like a promise.
You didn’t kiss him back.
Didn’t turn your face away, either.
You stood there like a statue. A monument to something twisted and holy. Let him praise you. Let him touch you. Let him cover you in devotion and blood and the sweetness of a love that could burn down a world if it meant keeping you in the ashes.
You weren’t sure what you were anymore.
Not a prisoner.
Not exactly.
Not a partner.
Not fully.
Not a killer.
Not yet.
But his hands, slick and reverent, cradled your face like you were sacred. Like you were his altar. His salvation.
Because you were.
You could see it in his eyes.
He’d ruin himself for you. Had already ruined others. And he’d drown you in that same ruin, over and over again, if it meant keeping you his.
He kissed you once more.
And whispered your name like a hymn.
His girl.
His gift.
His only.

The morning was red.
Not pink. Not gold.
Red.
The kind of light that made the dust in the air look like something alive, like smoke rising off a battlefield no one ever won. It filtered through the bedroom curtains in streaks, bleeding across the wooden floorboards, catching on corners like dried rust.
You stood in front of the mirror with your fingers curled around the edge of the sink, knuckles white, wrists aching from how tightly you gripped. The weight of the necklace still hung heavy on your collarbone. It hadn’t come off. Not when you undressed. Not when you bathed. Not even when you’d scrubbed at it with a rag soaked in rosewater, trying, foolishly, desperately, to pretend that was all it was. A speck. A blemish. A piece of someone else's story, not yours.
But it was yours now.
All of it.
And it wasn’t just blood that had soaked in.
It was his voice, still echoing. The way he whispered encouragements as you dropped that man’s arm into the grave. The way his smile widened when you didn’t run.
The way the man’s eyes stared up from the dirt in your dreams.
You hadn’t slept. Not really. You’d closed your eyes and drifted just long enough for the screaming to follow you in. His scream. Ragged. Human. Then the wet sound of Remmick tearing into him. Again and again and again. It kept looping, each time more vivid than the last.
You looked at your own face now, and all you could see was that man’s.
Mouth open. Arms limp. That flash of horror when he realized he wouldn’t make it out of this house.
Your breath hitched, low in your throat.
Tears stung your eyes.
You blinked them back.
You didn’t hear him come in.
You never did. That was the trouble. He moved through space like something meant to haunt. Silent, smooth, inescapable. The door didn’t creak. The floor didn’t shift.
But you knew.
Your body always knew before your eyes did. The hairs on your arms rose. The air cooled. The stillness deepened into something you could taste.
“Y’ain’t even touched your tea,” he said gently from the doorway, voice all breath and softness. “I kept it warm for ya.”
You didn’t answer right away. Just stared at yourself in the glass, hands trembling against the porcelain. You tried to draw a breath that wouldn’t shake.
Behind you, he stepped closer.
“I’m not mad,” he added. “If that’s what you’re wonderin’. ’Bout last night.”
The words landed like stones on water.
You didn’t respond.
His reflection didn’t show in the mirror.
It never did.
But you didn’t need it to. His voice wrapped around your waist like a second pair of arms, like silk stretched over barbed wire.
“Y’did so good. Did exactly what I needed.” He stepped closer. Slow. Deliberate. “That ain’t small, y’know. What I asked of you. It was big. It meant somethin’.”
You blinked hard, but the tears still clung stubborn at the corners. You clenched the sink edge tighter, like maybe it could tether you. Anchor you. Stop you from suffocating in what you’d done.
“I didn’t want it to mean anything,” you said.
But it cracked when it came out.
Your voice. Your face. Your control.
It cracked all the way down.
You pressed your lips together to keep from making a sound, but your shoulders betrayed you, shuddering once, sharp and tight.
You felt him move in behind you, his presence stretching out like a shadow cast by firelight.
“I know, darlin’,” he comforted. “I know.”
But he didn’t say sorry.
Not once.
And the necklace stayed right where it was. Cool against your skin, glittering like something beautiful, something earned.
Something permanent.
He was behind you now.
You didn’t hear him move. Not a creak of floorboard, not a shift of breath. But suddenly, his arms were around your waist. Strong, steady, certain. Like they’d always been there. Like they belonged there.
You startled, just a little.
But he only pulled you closer, pressing his body to your back with the kind of patience that wasn’t really patience at all. Just control. You could feel the way he held himself, as if something inside him had to be kept still. Contained.
His breath ghosted over your shoulder, cool and damp like a lingering mist. He smelled like clove. And sage. And copper. Always copper.
He rested his chin near your temple, nose nudging lightly into your hair.
“I can take it off,” he offered, voice low and humming. “The necklace. If it’s too much.”
You didn’t answer.
His fingers brushed lightly over the jewels. A whisper of a touch, reverent and slow. He let it linger.
“But I hoped ya’d keep it.”
Your eyes stayed locked on the mirror. On the glinting sapphires. The dried blood now fully gone but not forgotten. You swallowed hard.
“Why?” you asked, barely above a breath.
He leaned in.
Close enough that his lips brushed your neck this time, not your temple. A soft, trailing kiss pressed just beneath your ear. Not hungry. Not rough. But not gentle either.
His voice sank into your skin.
“Because it looks right on ya.”
The words were quiet, but they landed like a hand on your throat.
You didn’t flinch. Not outwardly. Your face stayed calm in the mirror. Your shoulders held.
But inside?
Something gave.
A small, buckling thing. Like a part of you that still wanted to believe you could carry this without changing shape.
He kissed your cheek once, slower now, mouth warm and oddly careful for someone so often careless with your breath.
Then he stepped back.
“I’m headin’ out,” he said, already turning toward the door. “Won’t be long. Won’t go far. Just need to stretch my legs.”
You nodded once.
Didn’t meet his eyes.
You heard his boots on the stairs.
The front door creaked open.
And like always, he left it ajar.
Just enough.
Not enough to invite the wind in. But enough to make a point.
You’re not locked in.
You’re free to go.
But you never did. Not because you couldn’t.
Because he’d folded himself into your bones. Threaded his voice through your thoughts. Left kisses on your pulse like warnings.
Before the door closed behind him, his voice drifted back up the stairs. Just loud enough to reach you.
“I love ya.”
The words sat heavy on the floorboards.
You didn’t say it back.
And you knew he’d remember that.
Would carry it like a splinter under his skin.
Would mention it again someday.
Long after you’d forgotten it.
Long after you’d wished you hadn’t.
You drifted to the garden.
The one Remmick had planted for you, despite his disdain for sunlight. He never called it a gift. Never made a show of it. Just started tending the earth one day, sleeves rolled, mouth quiet, movements deliberate. No shovel. Just his hands. Just his claws, raking slow furrows into the dirt and patting them soft again like he was taking care of something fragile.
You’d watched from the balcony that day, unsure if it was kindness or authority. Maybe both. With him, it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began.
It was overgrown now.
But beautiful. Wild.
The vines curled over the trellis like they were reaching for something they’d never touch. Lavender bloomed in thick patches near the roots. Moonflowers tilted their faces upward, shy but greedy. He must’ve come through while you were sleeping, added new things. Nightshade, maybe, or something less honest. Plants you didn’t recognize, but that hummed with some secret you weren’t sure you wanted to know.
You crouched beside a clump of jasmine. Ran your fingers along a bloom. Soft, white, too perfect for this place. You et your breath shudder out.
This was what he did.
He gave you things. He built them into your days. Little comforts, stitched between the horrors.
And they worked.
He loved you.
In his way.
It was obsessive. Demanding. It carved pieces out of you, asked for silence when you wanted to scream and closeness when you needed distance. But it wrapped around you, too. Warmed your tea. Laid your slippers out. Whispered your name like a prayer in the middle of the night.
And you.
You didn’t know what you felt.
Not entirely.
But it was real.
Not soft. Not easy. But real.
Real enough to stay.
Real enough to clean up bodies.
Real enough to wear the necklace. Still cool against your skin. Still shining in the light.
You traced the petal again. It trembled slightly beneath your fingertip.
You stood there until the sun dipped low again, until the cicadas started to hum and the air went thick with evening. That slow, syrupy hush that pressed against the back of your throat like a warning. The garden dimmed into blue shadows. The wind stopped moving.
You didn’t need to look at the sky to know it was time.
You went inside.
Back through the back door. Back into the red quiet. The warmth that never left the floorboards. The smell of sugar and copper that clung to the curtains like an old friend. The faint creak of the stairwell. The clock ticking too slow, or maybe just loud.
Back into his house.
Your house.
Home.
And there, waiting for you by the parlor door, was a new pair of shoes.
Sapphire blue.
The exact shade of the necklace.
They didn’t look expensive. Not flashy. Just thoughtful. Too thoughtful. A little too perfect. The soles hadn’t touched ground. The leather looked like cream. Soft enough to bend, strong enough to last.
They were still wrapped in tissue paper. Still perfect.
And on top, a note. Folded twice, edges crisp.
For when you feel like walkin’. But only if I’m with you.
You didn’t cry.
Didn’t smile, either.
You just sat down in the chair beside the box, touched the ribbon. It gave under your fingers, like it had been tied gently. Like it had been placed there just moments before.
And maybe it had.
Maybe he was watching.
Maybe he never stopped.
You looked around the room once. Let your eyes pass over the mantle, the mirror, the empty hallway. Then back to the shoes.
Blue as blood in moonlight.
He wanted you to wear them. To remember him every time you moved. To know you weren’t alone.
That you’d never be alone again.
Even if you wanted to be.
You rested your hands in your lap. Smoothed your palms over the hem of your skirt. And waited.
Because you knew he’d come through the door soon.
And you needed to be ready.
Tumblr media
Two bodies.
That was all you saw at first.
The front door swung open on its silent hinges, just wide enough to catch the night air and let in the swamp’s low, humming breath. Then, dragged across the threshold like afterthoughts, came two bodies.
Ankles gripped in Remmick’s fists. One man. One woman. Limp. Unceremonious. Their shoes scraped along the steps with dull thuds, their limbs sagging like broken dolls. Their heads knocked once, twice, against the frame as he yanked them forward over the threshold, then across the floor, right over the woven runner you’d cleaned just yesterday.
He didn’t pause to readjust his grip. Didn’t hoist them up by the arms or cradle the neck. Just dragged them straight across the polished pine, the hem of the woman’s dress catching on a nail, the man’s cuff leaving a damp smear along the grain.
You were already sitting when the door opened. Curled at the far end of the parlor sofa, one leg tucked beneath the other, a book open in your lap. You’d read the same page three times now. Or tried to.
The fire had gone soft, more glow than flame, and the air smelled faintly of lemon oil from the furniture polish you’d used that afternoon. The quiet had stretched long enough to feel foreign. The kind of quiet you always thought maybe, just maybe, meant a reprieve.
But it never did.
And deep down, some awful part of you had known.
You knew it when he left without telling you where.
You knew it when the sun dipped low and the shoes sat untouched beside the door.
You knew it when your fingertips hovered over the necklace at your collarbone, blue and cold and impossibly bright against your skin.
The quiet of the day had been too full.
The stillness too practiced.
The gift too kind.
Now, he was back. And he brought proof of it with him.
Remmick looked up as he stepped inside. Not hurried. Not sheepish. Just calm.
Casual.
As if he’d been returning from a stroll through the garden and not some carnage-stained errand that ended in slaughter.
And he smiled.
Sharp. Crooked. Gleaming even beneath the gore.
His shirt, what was left of it, clung to him in soaked folds. Torn across the collar. Split open down the front. Dark with blood and something thicker beneath. His trousers weren’t better, stiff with drying stains, the cuffs tracking flecks of mud across the parlor floor.
But it was his hands, claws, that made your breath catch.
Those clever, expressive things.
They were soaked up to the elbows, glistening red at the knuckles, sticky across the nails, the fingers flexing slightly as if trying to forget what they’d just done.
The blood hit the floor with every step. Slap. Smear. Slap. The sound seemed to echo, loud against the hush of the house.
And around his neck,
The gold chain.
The same one from all those months ago. When he first walked into your life, quiet and strange and smiling with teeth too white and eyes too old. The chain had caught the afternoon light back then. Made you think of warmth. Of wealth. Of good manners and good shoes and someone just passing through.
Now, it caught nothing.
Just blood.
Draped against the hollow of his throat, the metal barely glinted beneath the gore. But you knew it. Recognized it in a way that made your stomach twist. Not with fear.
With memory.
Back then, he’d brought honey. Compliments. Ribbons.
Now he brought bodies.
And not once, not even as he stepped closer, dragging the corpses across your freshly scrubbed floors, did he look ashamed.
He didn’t stop until they were halfway into the parlor, just a few feet from where you sat.
Close enough that the stink caught up to you. Metal and dirt and something that curled the back of your throat.
You stared.
At the man. At the woman. At Remmick.
At the man who said he loved you.
At the one who’d kissed your neck that morning and murmured, Won’t be long.
At the one who’d bought you shoes.
And finally, finally, looked at you proper.
Then, he smiled again.
Like this was nothing.
Like it was love.
“I got greedy,” he said with a smile that pulled too wide. Too sharp. The kind of smile that didn’t look right on a human mouth. “Ain’t proud of it. But-”
He dropped one of the ankles with a wet thud and dragged a blood-soaked hand through his hair, slicking it back from his brow. The strands clung there, heavy and dark with something not yet dry.
“-damn, if it didn’t feel good.”
The book slipped from your lap.
It hit the floor with a soft thud, pages bending inward like they were trying to hide. You didn’t look down.
Couldn’t.
Remmick tilted his head. The firelight caught in the red sheen along his jaw, the crimson glint in his eyes, the blood on his lashes, the teeth brazenly bared behind his smile. His gold chain lay across his collarbone, no longer shining, just soaked.
“Now don’t start with that look,” he said gently. Like you were being difficult. Like this was a misunderstanding. “Ain’t nothin’ different about this than last time. Just… more.”
You opened your mouth.
Closed it again.
Your throat tightened. Heat rushed up from your chest to your face, fast and dizzying.
“I can’t,” you said. Too soft. A ghost of breath.
He blinked.
You swallowed, tried again, louder this time, firmer. Your voice broke on the last word.
“I can’t do this.”
His smile didn’t disappear. It tilted. Softened. Confused. Like he’d misheard you, like you’d offered a strange joke in poor taste.
“Sure ya can,” he said with a little chuckle. “You’ve done it before.”
“No- Remmick, I mean it.”
You stood too fast and stumbled backward, shoulder bumping into the arm of the couch. Your hands shook. Your legs wouldn’t stay steady. Something inside you wanted to bolt.
“I-I thought I could prepare for this. I thought I’d be ready if it happened again. I tried to be ready.” You gasped, the tears rising too quickly now. “But it’s too much. It’s too much, I can’t- I can’t do it again.”
You covered your mouth with both hands as the sob came. Hot and involuntary. It made your knees buckle.
He didn’t say anything.
Just stood there in the parlor’s golden light, two bodies behind him, the blood still dripping from his sleeves. His shirt was open, clinging to him in places and torn in others, revealing streaks of red drying along the lines of his ribs. The bloodied gold chain at his neck looked too bright against it. Almost sickeningly bright. Like something holy lost in rot, just as defiled.
And yet he watched you.
Like you were the only thing that mattered in the room.
Like the rest of the blood didn’t exist.
Like he liked this. Your shaking, your fear. Or maybe it wasn’t that. Maybe it was something worse. Maybe he needed it.
He dropped the second ankle.
The bodies sprawled in opposite directions, lifeless and heavy, arms twisted beneath them. But his gaze didn’t follow them. Never once did he glance away from you.
He started walking.
Slow, deliberate steps. Not rushed. Not angry. As if trying to convince you to not run away. Even though he knew you wouldn’t.
His claws hadn’t retracted yet.
You could see them now. Long and sharp, extending clean past his fingertips like polished blades. Shimmering wet.
You backed away until your spine met the bookshelf, hands splayed behind you against the wood.
“I’m not mad,” he said gently.
God, why was that worse?
“I just thought ya might help.” he went on.
He was close now. Close enough to breathe in. Close enough to taste the iron in the air. His outline looked too tall in the firelight, too narrow at the shoulders, too still.
You turned your face away, but his hand came up, bloodied, clawed, and cupped your cheek with the same reverence you remembered from quieter mornings. His thumb smeared a tear away.
“You’re cryin’,” he murmured, and it almost sounded like it surprised him.
Then, instead of licking it away, he kissed it. Softly. Slowly. Like he knew that was what you needed. As if that made it better.
You sobbed harder.
“Please,” you whispered, barely able to speak past the tightness in your throat. “Please, Remmick. Not this time. I-I can’t.”
He leaned in, brushing his lips against your nape, his breath traveling hot and sticky down your neck.
And then, in the sweetest voice you’d ever heard:
“Sometimes I think about killin’ ya.”
Your whole body went still.
Not in fear.
Not in surprise.
In something worse.
Recognition.
Because you knew. Knew without needing a second breath, that he meant it.
The words didn’t drop like a bomb. They slid in like a knife. Quiet. Precise. Familiar.
He tilted his head, brushing his knuckle down your jaw like he hadn’t just said the most horrifying thing you’d ever heard.
“Every day,” he whispered. “Mornin’ and night. Before ya wake. After ya sleep. When you’re liftin’ the kettle, or brushin’ out your curls, or sayin’ my name like it still means somethin’ soft.”
His eyes were wide now, blue burning red at the center. Hungry. Hollow. A flame with no wick.
His hand drifted down your throat. Light as a feather. He traced the line of your pulse with the back of his knuckle, sighing at the flutter under your skin.
“Don’t mean I want to,” he said. “Not in the way you’re thinkin’. I’d never do it to hurt ya. It ain’t about that.”
You didn’t move. Couldn’t.
He stepped in closer, just close enough that your breath bounced off his shirt. Soaked and stiff with blood, the collar dark and curling at the seams. You could smell it all over him now. On his breath. In his hair. On the chain pressed tight against the hollow of his throat.
“Sometimes,” he started, “I see ya sittin’ there with a book in your hand, brows furrowed, lips pursed, and I think: God, I’d like to still that moment forever. Seal it. Keep it. Bury it right inside me so no one else ever gets to see it.”
His hand dropped lower.
Over your ribs.
The curve of your waist.
“Sometimes,” he went on, his voice still syrup-sweet, “I think about your blood spread out over the floor like a paintin’. The kind of red that don’t fade. The kind that says y’were mine.”
You whimpered.
And it made him shiver.
“But then ya smile at me,” he said. “And I think, no, not yet. Not yet. Let her smile again. Let her ask me what I’m hummin’. Let her scold me for trackin’ dirt into the kitchen. Let her keep bein’ good.”
His hands moved again. Gentle. Worshipful.
He wrapped them around your hips and turned you, slow, pressing you backward until your thighs brushed the edge of the sofa.
Until you could see the bodies again.
Still sprawled on the parlor floor.
Still leaking onto the wood.
Your knees locked.
Remmick lowered you down like you were made of glass. One hand cradling your spine, the other smoothing your skirt beneath you. He sat beside you, far too close. Turned to face you as if there was space to spare.
His claws scraped your knee where the fabric had risen.
“Y’see, darlin’,” he said, cupping your face again, “it ain’t about cruelty. It’s about closeness. I love ya so much I can’t figure out what to do with it. It don’t burn clean. It don’t settle.”
His eyes gleamed.
“I wanna take ya in. Swallow ya whole. Wear your name on the inside of my mouth. I want ya with me, inside me, forever. That’s what this is.”
You were shaking now.
Tears welled, but you couldn’t blink them away. They just sat there, blurring the edges of him. Of the room. Of the lifeless shapes still cooling on the floor.
“Ya think I don’t see it in ya too?” he lied, so confidently that you almost found yourself believing it. “That same want? That same ache? Ya look at me like I’m already inside you.”
You made a choked sound. Couldn’t tell if it was protest or grief.
He kissed the corner of your mouth again.
Then lower.
Your jaw.
Your throat.
His hands roamed with reverence, but they were still stained.
And it was still happening.
“Sometimes,” he breathed, lips brushing the shell of your ear, “I think I’ll wake one mornin’ and do it. Just let it happen. Let my love finish what it started. But I haven’t yet.”
He leaned back just enough to look at you.
His kissed a tear from your cheek.
“I haven’t,” he said again, softly. “Y’should remember that.”
You should’ve screamed.
Run.
Shoved him back.
Instead, you stared at him through tear-glossed lashes. Silent. Spinning. Unmoored.
He leaned in once more. Kissed your cheek like it was something fragile.
“Y’don’t ever have to be afraid of me, sugar. Long as ya stay.”
And for a moment, just a moment, you almost believed him.
Remmick’s lips brushed yours, feather-light at first, a barely-there caress that left you reeling. You could taste the copper tang of blood on his mouth, feel the warmth of it against your skin. Your breath caught as he pulled back slightly, just enough to feel his breath against your face. A soft huff of air, a reassurance.
But then his hand slid up your spine, blood smearing across your dress, and all softness fled.
This time, when his mouth met yours, there was no gentleness. No hesitation. Just hunger, visceral and consuming. He kissed you like he wanted to devour you whole, his lips slanting over yours, his tongue pushing into your mouth and claiming every inch of it as his own.
You whimpered, fingers groping at his shoulders, but whether to push him away or pull him closer, you didn’t know. Your thoughts were muddled, thick with fear and revulsion and a deep, wrenching want you couldn’t name. He tasted like death. Like sin. Like every dark fantasy you’d ever had but never dared speak aloud.
He yanked your head back to bare your throat, kissing down it, hot and open-mouthed, his tongue flicking out to taste the salt of your skin. His other hand, which had been stroking idly up and down your side, slipped under your skirt. You tensed, a protest rising in your throat, but he shushed you before you could voice it.
“Shh, now,” he murmured against your throat, fangs ghosting over your skin. “You’ve been achin’ for this. Starvin’ for it. A man’s hands. A man’s mouth. And ain’t it a mercy it’s mine givin’ it to ya?”
His fingers brushed your inner thigh, dragging through the wetness that had gathered there. You could feel the scrape of his claws, even through the fabric of your panties. A shudder ran through you, and you hated yourself for it. Hated that some twisted part of you wanted this, wanted him, even like this, covered in blood and filth and the evidence of his crimes.
He teased you through the thin fabric, his touch light and maddening. Circling. Flicking. Dipping just inside the edge before pulling away again. You whined, hips bucking of their own accord, desperate for more. More pressure. More friction. More something, anything to ground you in the midst of this debauched nightmare.
“Please,” you gasped, not even sure what you were asking for. For him to stop? For him to keep going? For the world to open up and swallow you whole, so you didn’t have to reckon with this unfamiliar depravity?
He chuckled, dark and indulgent. “Greedy girl,” he chided, his breath hot against your ear. “Don’t worry darlin’. I’ll give ya what y’need.”
He punctuated his words with a hard press of his fingers, rubbing rough circles over the damp fabric. You cried out, back arching, lungs seizing with the intensity of it. It was too much. Not enough. Your thoughts were fragmenting, splintering under the force of your need. You felt like you were drowning in it.
In him.
And still, he whispered filthy things in your ear, coating your skin in his words. Telling you how much he loved you. How much he needed you. How he’d do anything to keep you, even this. Especially this.
Remmick sucked at your throat, slow, deliberate, letting the warmth rise, letting you squirm. Then, without warning, he bit down. Deep. Sharp. A growl rumbled from his chest at the sound you made, part gasp, part sob, and he shivered like it thrilled him. “That’s it,” he breathed, lips glossy with blood and spit. “Sing for me, sweetheart.”
He growled as he left a map of his obsession on your flesh, fingers finally shoving your panties aside to slide through your slick folds.
Inside, something was screaming. Screaming for you to run, to fight, to do anything but this. To not let him take you like this, stained with the blood of innocents, surrounded by the evidence of his madness.
But your body... your body was betraying you. Arching into his touch. Soaking his fingers. Trembling with a heat you’d never known before. A heat that was as twisted and all-consuming as he was.
He pushed his fingers inside you, and you cried out at the stretch, the burn of it. He was big, bigger than you’d ever had, and the scrape of his claws against your inner walls only added to the intensity of it. It hurt, God, it hurt, but with every flex of his fingers, every curl and twist, you were hit with a new pang of euphoria, a pleasure so sharp it was almost painful.
You were so close, teetering on the edge of something huge and shattering, when he suddenly pulled his fingers out, leaving you achingly empty. You whimpered, hips bucking, seeking, but before you could even form a protest, he was pushing your legs apart, baring you completely to his gaze.
And then, without warning, he was on you, his mouth hot and wet and voracious. He ate you out like an animal, fangs still bared, growling into your flesh like he wanted to consume you whole. The sounds he made were obscene, wet and slurping, echoing in the quiet of the room like some kind of debauched symphony.
You thrashed beneath him, fingers tangling in his hair, pulling, pushing, trying to get him closer, get him away, you didn’t even know anymore. The pleasure was cresting higher and higher, coiling tighter and tighter, a spring on the verge of snapping. You felt like you were being flayed alive by it, torn apart piece by piece by piece.
And when you finally broke, it was with a scream that tore from your throat like a wound. You came so hard you saw stars, your vision whiting out, your lungs seizing, your body convulsing. And through it all, he just kept lapping at you, drinking down every drop of your pleasure like it was the finest wine. Like he couldn’t get enough of your taste, your need, your everything.
Your breath came in sharp pants, thoughts equally scattered. Fragmented. Lost in the haze of pleasure and horror that clouded your mind.
And then, with a monumental effort, you pushed him away. Or tried to. Your arms felt weak, your muscles trembling with the backlash of your climax.
He looked up at you, his face soaked with your arousal, a feral smile spreading across his lips. “I’m not done yet, darlin’,” he growled with a low rumble that vibrated through you. He tore at his clothes, ripping the blood-soaked shirt over his head, exposing his crimson-streaked torso. You tried to protest again, but he shushed you with a kiss, a deep, consuming kiss that left you tasting yourself, him, and the metallic tang of blood.
He lined himself up at your entrance, and you could feel the heat of him, the thickness, the promise of what was to come. You tensed, a flutter of panic in your chest. “Remmick, I-” you started, but he cut you off with another kiss, his hips surging forward, impaling you in one swift, brutal stroke.
You cried out, a sound of pain and pleasure mingled together, your nails digging into his back as he filled you completely. He was nothing you could’ve prepared yourself for, stretching you to your limits, the sensation was nearly unbearable. He started to move, his hips rolling in a rhythm that was both primal and precise, each thrust driving him deeper, harder, more relentlessly than the last.
“God, ya feel so good, sugar,” he moaned against your neck with a huff that made you shiver. “So tight. So wet. Y’were made for this. Made for me.”
You could feel the soreness building, the ache of being stretched, of being taken so ruthlessly. Your body was overwhelmed, every nerve ending firing, every sensation heightened to almost unbearable levels. You whimpered, your hips bucking in time with his thrusts, unable to do anything but take what he was giving you.
Remmick’s eyes were wild, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he drove into you. “Look at ya,” he panted, voice so thick with lust you could barely understand him. “So beautiful. So perfect. Ya take my cock like a dream.”
He leaned down, licking the tears that streamed down your face, his tongue hot and wet against your skin as he purred. “Ya taste so sweet when you cry.”
You tried to divert your attention, to escape the intensity of his near-crimson gaze and the raw, animalistic need that burned in his eyes. It was a need that terrified you to your very core. Your eyes darted around the room, seeking anything to anchor yourself to, anything to distract from the overwhelming sensations coursing through your body.
Your gaze landed on the necklace that swayed from his neck. That blood-soaked gold chain that glinted dully in the firelight. That gold chain that followed you from the life you once had to now, wrapped in Remmick’s embrace, his body moving against yours in a rhythm as old as time.
He noticed your distraction, a cruel, knowing smile playing on his lips as he reached up and took the necklace into his mouth. He bit down on the gold, his teeth sinking into the metal with a force that should have bent it, his eyes never leaving yours.
“That’s it, darlin’,” he groaned, the words muffled around the jewelry. “Focus on that. Focus on me. On how good this feels.”
And God help you, he was right. It did feel good. So good it hurt. So good it was almost too much to bear. The pleasure was a sharp, piercing thing, a knife’s edge of ecstasy that left you breathless and dizzy. With each thrust, each roll of his hips, each brutal, delicious stroke, the pressure inside you built, a coiled spring ready to snap, your body teetering on the brink of something monumental.
You could feel the guilt gnawing at you. A dark, insidious thing that clawed at the edges of your mind, trying to break through the haze of pleasure. How could you find enjoyment in this? How could your body respond so eagerly to his touch? To his invasion? You knew the depth of his depravity. The extent of his crimes. You were a willing participant. An accomplice.
You were ashamed of the moans that fell from your lips, ashamed of the way your body moved with his, ashamed of the desperate, keening cries that escaped you as he brought you higher, closer to the edge of oblivion.
Remmick's hips continued to roll in a relentless rhythm, his body glistening with sweat, his breath coming in ragged, desperate gasps. He leaned down, his voice a drunken, fervent whisper against your ear, his words a mix of promise and threat. “M’gonna put a baby in ya, sugar. Gonna fill you up. Watch ya get all fat ’n slow ’n pretty.”
His words sent a shock of panic through you. A cold, paralyzing fear that cut through the haze of pleasure and left you reeling. You tried to push him away, your hands pressing against his chest, your body tensing as you tried to escape the inevitable. “Remmick, no-” you gasped, your voice hoarse, your eyes wide with a mix of terror and pleading. “You can’t-”
But he was relentless, his body pinning you down, his strength overpowering yours in a way that left you feeling helpless. Trapped. He captured your wrists in one hand, holding them above your head as he continued to move inside you, his hips never ceasing their brutal, demanding rhythm. “Shh,” he cooed, his voice a low, soothing purr that contrasted sharply with the wild, untamed look in his eyes. “You’ve been askin' for this. You’ve been beggin' for it. I know you have. And I’m gonna give it to you.”
He leaned down, tongue invading your mouth, exploring, conquering, silencing your protests as he continued to move inside you.
You tried to turn your head, to break the kiss, to gasp for air, but he followed, his lips never leaving yours, his breath mingling with yours, his tongue continuing its relentless exploration. He kissed you deeply, thoroughly, his lips moving against yours with a suffocating desperation, as if he were trying to pour every ounce of his being into you. To consume you wholly.
“Remmick, please-” you managed to gasp as he finally broke the kiss, your chest heaving, your body trembling with a mix of fear, pleasure, and something else, something almost akin to desperation. “I can’t-”
But he only smiled, a slow, knowing smile that sent a shiver down your spine, a mix of anticipation and trepidation. “Ya can, sugar,” he insisted, the lack of choice you had in the matter laced on every word. “And ya will.”
With a final, shuddering thrust, he buried himself deep, his whole body seizing tight as he spilled inside you, breath caught somewhere between a grunt and a gasp. His mouth found your shoulder, and without pause, he bit down. Hard. Fangs sinking deep. The pressure broke through your skin, and the sound that left him was low and guttural. Like it came from the oldest part of him.
The pain hit first. Bright. Hot. A sudden wash of heat that bled through your dress and soaked down your arm. You cried out, not just from the hurt, but from the way it tangled with everything else. Your spine arched, your chest heaving, your head going light from the sheer force of it.
Remmick didn’t stop. Didn’t pull away. His hands gripped tight around your hips, and he moved through the aftershocks like he couldn’t bear to let the moment end. The bite held you still. Anchored. The only sound in the room was the ragged pull of his breathing and the faint sound of blood dripping onto the sofa.
When he finally stilled, he didn’t let go, or pull out.
He licked over the wound slow, careful, as if tasting something rare. As if trying to commit it to memory. A quiet sound rose in his throat, something between a hum and a sigh, and you felt it against your skin.
You were shaking.
Spent.
And he held you like you were something precious, something ruined, something he couldn’t stop himself from needing.
Tumblr media
The sheets smelled like lavender. Fresh. Clean. As if nothing had ever happened at all. As if you hadn’t just laid beneath him in the room where the bodies had gone cold, their blood still tacky on the floorboards.
As if he hadn’t taken you with that same blood smeared down his chest, soaked into his sleeves, crusted along his jaw.
As if he hadn’t whispered love into your mouth while fucking you raw against the parlor sofa, his hands pinning yours down, his hips relentless, the broken cries that spilled from your throat sounding too much like pleading and too little like pleasure.
And then, when it was over, when your body was wrecked and shivering, your legs too weak to stand, he’d kissed your forehead like a lullaby, scooped you up in his arms like you weighed nothing at all, and carried you to the bath.
The tub was already full.
Of course it was.
Warm. Steaming. Waiting for you.
You’d wondered, hazily, if he’d drawn it before or after.
He didn’t speak as he undressed you. Just peeled the ruined nightgown from your skin with slow, reverent fingers. His claws retracted now, nails blunted and gentle. No urgency. No demand. Only care.
The water lapped up around your body as he eased you in, one hand holding your back, the other at your hough, lowering you as though you might break apart in his arms.
He didn’t get in with you. Not at first.
Just knelt beside the tub and cupped water over your shoulders, your breasts, your thighs. Ran a cloth down your spine. Washed you in long, slow strokes, like he was trying to scrub the memory of the bodies from your skin before it sank too deep.
But it already had.
Still, you let him work. Let him wash your hair, comb it through with his fingers. Let him tilt your head back and rinse it clean. Let him trace every curve of your body like it was scripture.
He scrubbed the blood from your shoulder with painstaking tenderness, kissing the half-healed wound in between passes, calling you his miracle, his mercy, his girl.
His voice never rose. Not once.
Not even when you flinched from his touch. Not even when you cried.
He kissed your eyes dry.
You thought about the quiet days. The good ones. When he made breakfast in the morning and left hibiscus tea on your nightstand. When he sang while he cooked. When he brushed your hair with such delicacy you almost forgot what his hands were capable of.
And you thought about the other days. The long silences. The backhanded questions. The hollow, hateful stares that brought you to tears.
Your body ached in places you didn’t have names for. Inside and out.
And he was so gentle now.
You wanted to scream.
Instead, you let him rinse the soap from your skin and lift you out of the tub. Let him wrap you in a towel, thick and warm, smelling faintly of clove and firewood.
Let him dry you off. Let him carry you to his bedroom, both of you silent now, except for his breath brushing against your temple.
The mattress dipped under your weight. The pillows caught your head like a secret. The blanket was heavy in the best way, and his arms found you again before you could move away.
Remmick curled around you like a second skin. One arm beneath your waist. One over your belly.
His fingers didn’t move. Just stayed there, still and steady, like they could already feel what had been made between you.
His mouth was at your neck again, breath soft, lips barely brushing.
And still, you didn’t sleep.
You just stared into the dark, remembering the warmth of his voice when he called you good. Remembering the snap of bone. The wet sound of flesh giving way. The feel of his body slamming into yours with no hesitation, no mercy, like love could be beaten into you if he just took enough of you for himself.
He shifted behind you. Pulled you closer.
There was no space left between your bodies.
None between the truth and the lie of it.
And you still didn’t move.
You kept your eyes open. Fixed on the wall.
And thought about everything.
About your daddy’s store. You thought about that first. The sound of the bell over the door, bright and sweet as wind chimes. The gentle sweep of the broom on the front steps every morning. You thought about how the sun used to come in through the big front windows, painting long streaks of gold across the shelves. You used to watch the dust swirl in the light and think it looked like magic.
You thought about the girls you’d grown up with. How you used to sit on porch rails with your legs swinging, eating too much candy and daring each other to run barefoot down the gravel road. You wondered where they were now. If they were married. If they had babies.
If they thought about you.
You wondered if any of them had come by the store. If they’d stood on the same wooden floorboards you once stood on and asked your daddy where you’d gone. If they were told you were gone for good.
Or maybe they didn’t ask at all.
Maybe they figured you’d run off with a man, like so many girls did when the world backed them into a corner and made them choose between being loved or being lonely.
You thought about your mama next.
About how she used to wrap your hair at night, hands gentle but firm, fingers slick with oil. She never let you skip it, not even once. Not even when you pouted and said you weren’t a baby anymore. “Still my baby,” she’d say, tying the scarf with a kiss to your forehead.
You thought about what she’d say now. Whether she’d still hold you close, or just hold your face and try not to cry. You didn’t know if she’d recognize you.
Not like this. Not with him.
Remmick shifted behind you in the bed, stirring as if he could feel your thoughts pulling you too far. He curled tighter. Pulled you in with him. One arm clutched low around your waist, the other curling beneath your ribs. Like he was trying to mold his shape to yours. Like if he could just hold you close enough, you’d stop trying to leave, mind or body.
And maybe he was right.
Maybe he could fold you into him, press you so deep into his chest you’d forget where you ended and he began.
You blinked slow.
Your throat ached.
The room was quiet. The air was warm. The shadows on the walls flickered and stretched like they didn’t know where to settle. The lamp on the dresser hummed soft and low, casting gold against the covers, turning everything honeyed and still.
There was no lock on the door.
No chain at your ankle.
No order in his voice.
But it was a cage all the same.
A soft, warm, gilded cage.
And you had stayed.
Because where else was there to go?
You’d imagined leaving. Dozens of times. Pictured it clear as glass. The road winding long and empty behind you. The night cool on your skin. Your heart in your mouth.
But every time you chased that dream far enough, it ended in the same place.
Here.
With him.
You’d made too many trades along the way. Traded silence for safety. Traded truth for comfort. Traded fear for something that looked too much like love to name it anything else.
And now you had nothing left to bargain with.
You’d redrawn the line a hundred times, and now the chalk had run out.
So you stopped thinking.
Let your muscles go slack.
Let the ache in your chest press itself into the mattress. Let the silk of his voice echo in your head.
You’re safe, darlin’.
My beautiful girl.
I love ya.
And finally, you let yourself go.

✭"don't forget to kiss me or else you'll have to miss me"✭ ~ How Arcane characters show affection headcannons {fem reader}
cast ✧ Vi, Ekko, Jayce, Viktor, Mel
cw ☞slightly pervy jayce (you can't pry him from my cold dead hands), fluff
♞Vi♞
♞Vi kisses like she is starving, and you are the first morsel of food she can get her hands on. Like she is drowning, and you are her first breath of air. It's not just desperate and hungry, but there's also a thankfulness to it. Thank you for sticking with her, thank you for being so patient with her, thank you for loving her. Vi doesn't do anything half-assedly, especially not kissing her pretty girlfriend. It's probably her favorite form of affection because it's so versatile. It doesn't have to lead to the bed if neither of you want it to, sometimes it's just on the couch, you sat in between her large thighs, positively falling into her.
♞Her favorite place to kiss you would be on your lips as she holds you chin in her rough hands. She would kiss you thoroughly and deeply, her tongue languidly kissing your own without a rush or care in the world. She is quite prone to getting overwhelmed herself, squeezing the air from both of your lungs and having the nerve to pout at you when you pull away. On her messier days, she leaves a string of spit behind, but she's always kind enough to wipe it away with a few swipes of her thumb. With every inch you pull back she leans in a mile more, chasing you as you try to catch your breath and when she does pin you down, she holds you impossibly close so you can't escape again until she's had her fill. Even then, she holds you in her large arms and tangles your limbs together, at one point sliding her hand beneath your shirt just to lay it on your tummy and feel it move as you breath.
♞Vi is also secretly a space heater. She runs incredibly hot and because of this, sleeps naked and is always down to give you her jacket. It just makes sense in her mind, seeing her clothing wrapped around you. She likes sharing most things; oddly specifically, drinks. She's gross and thinks it's hot that you're technically swapping spit. When it comes to alcohol, especially if you're not a big drinker, both of you will nurse off the same drink, her tipping your head back and pouring it into your mouth when you get a bit too tipsy to do so yourself without spilling.
♞Her go to pet name is 'pretty' and I will die on this hill. It's the thing that defines you for her. She's an idiot and a loser and she knows there's more to you than just how you look, but she just can't help it that whenever she sees you, all her reptile brain can think is 'pretty'. She absolutely abuses it, too. Besides this, I also think she would use those sleazy kinda bar pet names, like sweets or babydoll. Not in a creepy sleazy way, but that is just realistically what she would've been hearing for terms of endearment.
♞Slight side tangent, in a modern AU she is definitely one of those mascs that gets a hold to some Calvin Klein boxers and takes advantage of every opportunity possible to show the waistband off. Part of it is just her showing affection, even if you can reach tall shelves on your own, she still insists on getting the items for you. This carriers over into many things, like twisting open pickle jars or opening your soda cans if you're someone into longer nails. While she isn't as good with building things as Jinx, I think she would definitely be able to manage putting together the furniture in your shared home. Would it take all day? Well, yes! But you chose to make the best out of it and fuck on top of the furniture to test its sturdiness and congratulate your girlfriend on a job well done.
♞On the topic of nails in a modern AU, she would love a partner who gets them done absolutely goes feral if you get them customized to her liking, like coloring them after her eyes or hair or sneaking her name in there somewhere. She feels like she's made it in life when she can pay to get them done. It seems like a selfless action, but it would be a lie to say she gets nothing out of it. The scratch mark you leave on her back after break her brain a little.
★Ekko★
★Ekko loves cooking for his girlfriend! I feel like that would definitely be his main love language along with quality time. As stated before, you two would spend a lot of time in his kitchen, often times with some source of music providing a background noise to the nonsense that you concoct together, occasionally slow dancing while there's time to kill while waiting for something to finish in the oven. Food fights may occasionally occur, but he does a thorough job of licking you clean after. He claims he 'can't let good food go to waste'.
★He would also have a sketchbook absolutely full of you. You can tell when a new edition is about to be added as well. Ekko isn't loud, but he isn't quiet either. His foot is always tapping, he's usually humming something, he always has something to keep his hands busy. He's hardly ever still, except for those moments when you fully wash over him. Sometimes the lighting is exceptionally beautiful, sometimes it's in appreciation of how the wind moves the world around you, and some moments are just so breathtaking beautiful he has to take a moment to go silent, still, and stare. Sometimes he'll just tell you to be in his presence and be pretty so he can properly commit you to paint and commemorate you forever in oils and brush strokes. He's not above nude paintings, though those strokes look and feel much different.
★Ekko is the CEO of quick kisses. He's a busy guy!! He's running an entire commune. He makes the absolute most out of moments when you have the world to yourselves, but most of what you receive are quick passing kisses on your cheeks or the corner of your mouth. He misses on purpose because he simply does not believe in starting things he doesn't have the time to finish. For this reason, I don't think he'd be a big quickie guy. A kiss can easily just be a kiss, but sex is not something meant to be done in 5 minutes.
★Ekko's favorite place to kiss you would also be your lips. He's a romantic, what can I say!!! At the end of every day, you ask each other how your day was after you've both showered and gotten comfy. You both sit on his bed, set beside each other, your legs haphazardly laid over his as he casually massages your thigh. Sometimes you're both a bit too tired and aren't listening that hard, the occasional tidbit catching your attention making either of you sit straight and get closer until eventually you laid on top of him, both of you half asleep. No matter how much energy either of you has, a good night kiss is to be had. When Ekko doesn't need to be quick, he is impossibly slow. He has all the time and then some.
★Not only does he demand a good night kiss, but a good morning kiss to. He gets pouty without it. And sassy. He tells Scar, very loudly so that everyone can hear him, that you hate and don't love him anymore and he is just so deeply hurt that you would let your boyfriend, you're one true love, leave the house without kissing him goodbye and doesn't shut up about it until he gets his goddamn kiss.
★He loves picking out your outfits. He prides himself on the way he dresses and out of everyone, I think Ekko has the most domestic skills. I've already discussed how well he cooks, but I wouldn't be surprised if he also knew his way around a needle and thread. He is not just wearing any clothes; he has a sense of style that he is very proud of. This being said, he loves going shopping with you in a modern AU and he loves when you eventually get comfortable enough to not retreat into the bathroom when changing from outfit to outfit. He's the one making you do the little spin so he can appreciate the outfit from all angles.
★As far as pet names go, I think Ekko would keep it simple with "babe" or "baby" for more casual usages. I also think he would be fond of "my girl" and expects it from you in return because yes he is "your boy" and yes you are "his girl" and yes he loves you very very much. He wouldn't be a stranger to "my love", especially in the mornings or at night when your face is the first and last thing he sees when he closes his eyes. It makes him feel extra sappy.
❂Jayce❂
❂He is all over you at all times of the day omg. I feel like of everyone, Jayce would be the clingiest. This isn't to say he's attached to you at the hip, but his favorite part of the day is getting to go home to you. You're cooking and there he is sitting on the counter yapping about Hextech or something. You're taking a shower and he wants to join. And it's not just a proximity thing, it's also a touchy thing. Any reason or way he can find to touch you, he is taking it. He doesn't care if it's pathetic, dammit, he wants to be held.
❂Jayce would absolutely thrive in a modern AU. He would be the guy whose social media page are all posts about his girlfriend and does he just love to show you off. He would spoil you so good, but rather than buying anything you wanted like Mel would, I think he would also really enjoy making you presents. This isn't to say he doesn't enjoy buying you things, one of your staple pieces of jewelry is the gold anklet he bought with his initials on it.
❂Physical touch is easily his love language but he cannot handle all that, or rather, he freezes in situations where you initiate it. His hands tend to naturally find your waist and will occasionally, if he's feeling bold enough, slip down to your ass, but one time when it was freezing out, you offered your tits as handwarmers and he got a nosebleed. Jayce is definitely an undercover perv but due to never having a girlfriend before and being completely foreign with the concept that he doesn't need to hide how badly he wants to jump your bones at nearly all hours of the day, he freezes when it comes to you initiating contact.
❂He would definitely be the type to get you teddy bears and flowers just whenever. It's never with any rhyme or reason and it happens rather sporadically, just when he is out and about for any reason and thinks of you and wants to bring you something home. He thinks of you a lot, actually. Mel and Viktor love the both of you, but sometimes he goes a bit overboard when it comes to talking about you. This being said, he jumps at any opportunity to show you off. He loves going to gala's because he likes seeing you in pretty clothes and hanging off his arm. He also likes kissing you in public, even if no one's paying attention. He is well versed in the art of delayed gratification and loves getting the both of you riled up knowing full well he does not have the balls to actually fuck you with people around (he gets loud and is very well aware of this)
❂ Jayce's absolute favorite place to kiss you is your neck. He usually starts with your lips, large hands cupping your cheeks and soft lips moving over yours until he gets more antsy. His hands travel from your cheek to your neck then begin to creep under your clothes to grab and knead at your warm skin. Then he would move down your face, peppering kisses across your lips, down your jaw, then down you neck, panting as he goes along and his hands getting rougher as he tries to remain composed. He stops there for a moment, breath fanning over skin that is now slightly red from his canines nipping you and his fresh stubble scratching the area, reminding himself to be gentle and not take more than he's given. He pleads with you, his own cheeks flushed from the heat of the movement as he mutters out his "please...". He's begged you time and time again to not make him verbalize exactly what he wants, but you are relentless. At least he has the manners to ask sweetly beforehand.
❂He is the type to lay right on top of you. After you've gotten comfy in your bed, thrown on your pajama's, maybe are doing a bit of light reading before bed, he comes around to disturb your peace and lay himself right on top of you, smothering you with kisses while he lays there. He eventually moves out of his starfish position to lay his head on your chest and wrap his arms around your torse. He's like a giant, weighted, warm teddy bear
❂One of his go-to pet names would be 'baby', but only when it just the two of you. He is also quite fond of 'gorgeous' and he always has a stupid smirk on his face when he says it. His favorite would be 'sweetheart'. Slightly off topic, he would be the first to jump the gun and start calling you his wife. Especially to council members that are annoying him and taking up time he'd rather be spending with you, he is very quick to pull a "Sorry, gotta get home to my wife." He bought to matching rings for your one-year anniversary to sell the story better.
☽Viktor☾
☽As far as physical affection goes, I think he would be the least touchy. I think the touches would be concentrated on your face, lazily tracing all of your features, marking where your cheeks sink below your cheek bones, the divot between your chin and lips, and where your face is most pronounced. While he wouldn't call himself an artist, he could probably mold your face in clay from the number of times his feather light fingers have caressed every inch of it. He's utterly entranced by it. His mind often wanders while listening to you speak, eyes roaming from your lips and taking note of them in proportion to your eyes, getting lost in the color of them until his eyes flit to your nose and the way your nostrils slightly flare out. It's very mechanical, but that's just the way his brain works.
☽Less of a hugger but he does like to keep his arms around you. Especially on date nights when you're cuddled up on your couch, a myriad of snacks in between the two of you, your head resting on his shoulder while he tries to hide his snores as he falls in and out of consciousness. You accuse of him trying to go to sleep and he tells you he was just "resting his eyes".
☽He would make you all the trinkets in the world. Many of them start as failed experiments of his or scraps from projects past that need to be repurposed, but the thought is always there. He hates to waste and there's really no need to when he has a girlfriend he can make gifts for. Your vanity is full of pretty side projects, decorative boxes for your makeup, ornate music boxes, tea sets and tiny figurines. Your desk would be full of special tchotchkes.
☽Speaking of tchotchkes, I think that would be one of his playful nicknames for you. It sounds absolutely delectable in his accent. I think he would also go for the classier terms of endearment such as 'dear', 'love', 'darling' as well as variations of them in his mother tongue. He would love teaching you his native language, both as a way to bond even more but also to make sure he never loses it.
☽He would also be big on compliments. He is probably your number one supporter, but not in the loud sports fan with a huge foam finger kinda way, but in a quieter more personal way. He is extremely confident in you and your abilities as well as being endlessly proud of everything you do. He is in complete awe of you, and he tells you as such. It is impossible to feel bad about yourself in his presence, he keeps a mental rolodex of every accomplishment of yours to combat any sort of negative self-talk.
☽Not a big PDA guy. He would rather throw himself out of a window than suck face with you in Jayce's presence. He is a big hand-holder which is disastrous when doing it while walking around because neither one of you can walk straight to save your life. It's not even an issue with his leg because you do it too. You bump into each other all the time, though in the winter it is more often on purpose to keep warm.
☽Viktor's favorite place to kiss you is on your forehead. It's simple and it's sweet and more often than not what he can get away with the most. With how much time he spends in the lab, he has grown to deeply appreciate those quiet moments with you, holding your hand under the table as he works in the low light, papers rustling as he tries to find the specific formula he's looking for. Jayce is across the table, snoring loud enough to keep the both of you awake. You look like you want to kiss him, he can feel your gaze on his lips as your fingers tangle through his hair and he turns to you and gives you a small smile then a sweet kiss on your forehead. When he pulls away, he leans into you and you sit there for a moment, nose to nose. "Just a few moments, love, I'm almost done." You giggle through tiredness. "It won't be a few moments, Vik." And he appreciates your understanding more than most things in the world. "No, it won't. But I'll try to make it quick.", he promises and then plants another kiss on you
☽He really likes reading with you, or just doing activities that allow the both of you to be doing something together without necessarily needing to talk. It doesn't even have to be something he's good at, it could be a painting session, or a pottery lesson, and he would be down. He would also be the type to try and pick up on your hobbies. You like to crochet; he's also picking up a crochet needle to try and work alongside you. And he's not too proud to ask for help, he likes a relationship where both parties are constantly learning and exploring.
☼Mel☼
☼Mel is definitely the type to spoil you. She has so much money and is not afraid to use it. You really like that dress you saw while window shopping? She's already ordered it to be tailored to your exact size. You like that bracelet? You wake up to it in a box on your nightstand the next morning and spot her wearing a matching piece later on that day. It's not to try and buy your love, she just thinks you deserve the world, and if she could buy it, it would be your wedding present.
☼Mel love holding hands at all times and specifically is the type to rub the skin between your pointer finger and thumb. Her skin would also be so soft, touching her feels like touching smooth velvet. She also likes to kiss your knuckles and the inside of your wrist before letting go, the mark her lipstick feeling like a heavy imprint of her lips.
☼She is also very fond of kissing your nose. She thinks 'booping' you with her finger is childish, but she is not above a little peck on the nose, which is the abridged version of her usual ritual of pecking your forehead, nose, and lips. Those kisses are usually taken in the morning when you go your separate ways for the day, particularly those that she knows will be long and tedious. She likes to think she takes part of you with her when she does it. She misses your intellect, she misses the silent indicators of your presence, she misses how you feel. Some days, she greatly yearns to return to you. She feels like a physical weight is lifted off her back and she can actually breathe.
☼She loves spending wash days with you. Those locs take hours and you are there right by her side, gossiping and discussing everything and nothing while royal hairdressers take down or retwist that beautiful head of hair. It's even better if you're the one doing it for her. She likes the feeling of your fingers in her scalp, massaging out the wrinkles in her brain as she goes boneless in between your legs. I, unfortunately, do not think she could return the favor. She is like basically royalty; her whole life someone was likely doing it for her. She would try and learn!! It would just take a little bit.
☼I do think she would be very good at doing your makeup. She has the base routine DOWN and usually likes to do simpler eye looks, though she can do whatever you request of her. All hell breaks loose when it comes time to do lips, and her gloss would end up all over your face as she is overcome with the unabating urge to leave glossy kiss marks all over your face . You would return the favor, whatever pigmented shade you previously wore landing all over her flawless skin, and she would savor the moment with a photo she keeps in her journal
☼In a modern AU, I think she would be really good at carnival games. I can't explain it, she just would. She's not the biggest fan carnivals and fairs as they're a bit too loud and crowded for her taste, but if you wanted to go, she certainly would never say no to you. While I think Vi would try very hard to beat them only to fail, Mel would be unexplainably good at them and win you tons of prizes.
☼Mel carries a purse on her at all times and has absolutely everything in there. Pads, tampons, ibuprofen, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, anything you could possibly need is in that bag of hers. She also carries the big bag so you only have to carry around outfit purses than can barely handle a handful of coins. She also loves matching outfits with you!!! You probably own so many matching outfits, matching pjs, matching workout sets, as well as multiple items of clothing that are the exact same except for sizing.
☼She would be another one who constantly talks about her partner, albeit, in a much smoother way than Jayce does. Jayce jumps at every opportunity to bring you up in conversation, it's always flows naturally with Mel but she also brags far more. It's always, "That's great but my girlfriend..." or finding ways to talk about big accomplishments knowing damn well no one else can compete. See her girlfriend has a doctorate, or her girlfriend won this prestigious award, or her girlfriend was the first to do this...what were you saying about your wife though???
☼As for pet names, I think Mel would be another person who uses "my love" or "my dear" but I also think she'd be the type to refer to you as "princess". Once again, coming from royalty, she treats you as such, and that also comes down to how she refers to you. She also just likes calling you by name, usually in her sappier moments followed by her last name She can't get enough of the way it sounds rolling off her tongue and the two of you together just sounds perfect.

I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE.
THIS SEXY ASS FISH PINS HIS EARS AGAINST HIS HEAD WHEN HE'S:
ASHAMED
DEFEATED
Tense...? (I'll elaborate at the end)
Probably more tbh
AND LET ME TELL YOU WHY 🗣❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this scene, Steb has his ears pinned back. His ears naturally rest pointing outward from his head. In the second scene, it looks like he's holding them back, but if you look closer in the first one, they're actually just resting flat against his head.
I see a lot of people saying that it's probably due to him being sad about Maddie's betrayal, but I feel like that's a little too vague. YES, he's most likely sad that his buddy stabbed him in the back, but I feel like it's more a shame kind of thing.
IN THE GIF BELOW, you'll see what I'm talking about. He looks over at Caitlyn, but after giving her a small glance, he looks back down, seeming to show some kind of shame or defeat. (Maybe even hopelessness?) There doesn't appear to be an out in their situation, and Steb knows that. I suppose he COULD be ashamed that he had trusted Maddie, but I feel like it's mainly just the defeat from the battle.
Ears flat against his head:
Tumblr media
Ears usual resting position:
Tumblr media
You can see his whole ear in the kneeling scene, and it's clear that he's not touching it. His ears just naturally pin back during some situations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only that, but there are multiple scenes where you can see his ears twich. (I picked scenes from the same episode since it's easier to see here.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑
(In these two, you can see both his ear AND scale frills twitch)
↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
Tumblr media
(You gotta look closely for this one) ↑↑↑
But this is where my third bullet point comes in, as well as why I'm kind of iffy on it. During the fight with the shimmer guys, Steb almost gets FUCKING SPLIT IN HALF, but Loris comes in clutch and sheilds Steb.
While Steb is curled up for the impact, he pins his ears against his head, as you can see here.
Tumblr media
I feel like him being "Scared" isn't exactly the reason why he pinned his ears against his head. During the whole fighting scene, you can tell he is QUITE terrified, but he didn't have his ears pinned back until the scene above. I feel like it's less terror and more tension. He tensed up and curled on himself due to him expecting impact, causing him to pin his ears back.
STEB NATION, HOW WE FEELING⁉️⁉️⁉️🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hi Miko, I've been reading your one piece posts and absolutely love how you write the characters! I loved your oblivious reader headcanons, but I wanted to request kind of the opposite - how would Luffy, Sanji and Zoro react to a reader that makes the first move and kisses them first? Thank you 🥰💕
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings: monster trio x female reader
cw: not proofread, probably contains grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language!!
— (a/n): hiiii!! i'm very sorry for not posting, I've got a lot of requests and i hope I'll get to write them all ^_^ also, I SWEAR I don't have a favourite (≧▽≦) -> m.list
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— LUFFY
Luffy is so straight forward that a lot of flirting just goes right over his head. You could be batting your eyelashes, throwing hints, or playfully touching his arm, and he'd just grin at you, not having a second thought.
He's naturally touchy with his crew, so when you start getting more physically affectionate, he just kinda rolls with it. Leaning on him? He'll lean right back. Holding his hand? He'll swing it playfully.
The realization hits... Late. You make a habit of teasing him, leaning in close when you talk, poking his face when he pouts, and even calling him cute. After a lot of punches from Nami and disappointed sighs from Usopp, he tilts his head and just goes "Are you flirting with me?"
Luffy starts leaning in close, just to see if you'll back away, and he literally COPIES your every move.
"Does this make your heart race too?" In the most innocent way possible.
You think he's immune to embarrassment, until you pull a bold move and trace his jaw with your fingers. "I bet you'd taste sweet." He actually pauses, eyes wide, and a faint pink tint covering the tip of his ears.
When you finally go in for the kiss, you catch him mid laugh. His eyes widen, and probably for the first time ever, he's speechless. Luffy, the king of energy, is frozen like a statue.
His hand almost instinctively catches your waist, holding you close. You pull back, watching his expression shift from shock, to realization, to a big, goofy grin.
"Do it again!" He doesn't even hesitate before grabbing your face and closing the distance again, kissing you back. Zero hesitation.
After this, he just kisses you whenever he feels like it. Mid conversation? Smooch. Stealing food? Smooch. Looking at him funny? Smooch.
He literally tells the whole crew. No warning, no build up. Just a proud declaration while you stand there, face buried in your hands.
You belong to his crew, but now you're his in a way that makes him extra protective. He wraps his arms around you randomly, pulling you close, his stupid, big grin plastered on his face.
He starts challenging you to kiss attacks. If you surprise him, you win. If he catches you trying, he flips it on you.
Luffy doesn't get embarrassed easily, but he does get attached. Expect him to be glued to your side, smiling like you're the best treasure in the world.
There's no overthinking with Luffy, he just likes being with you, loves that your bold, and will 100% support more surprise kisses in the future.
———☆
You're sitting on the deck with Luffy, sharing a plate of snacks, when you decide you've had enough of his cluelessness. He's laughing about something, something dumb, something that shouldn't make your heart race.
So, without a second thought you lean in and close the distance, pressing a firm kiss to his lips. It's quick, but it's just enough to make Luffy's breath hitch and heartbeat increase.
Luffy blinks at you, his usual bright eyes wide in surprise. He's touching his lips like he's processing the sensation for the first time. Then, slowly, a huge grin spreads across his face.
"Whoa!" He lets out a shaky exhale, and then he grabs your hands, bouncing excitedly. "Do it again!"
"Maybe later." You laugh, shaking your head. He was getting so excited over a simple kiss, and you couldn't help but feel your heart skip a beat at the way his touch felt on your skin.
"Later?! But I wanna do it now!" He doesn't wait, just leans in and captures your lips in another quick, excited kiss. Now, you're the one blushing.
— ZORO
Flirting with Zoro is like flirting with a wall, at least at first. He doesn't react to subtle touches, teasing smirks or even playful winks. He just raises an eyebrow like, What are you doing?
"You're acting weird." You lean in, fingers trailing over his wrist as he tenses, although not pulling away. "I'm just being friendly." "That doesn't feel friendly..."
The moment he does realize you're flirting with him, he goes completely still. His grip on his swords tighten. He legit looks like he just got challenged to a duel.
"Tch, like I care." But then he starts noticing everything. The way you look at him, the way your hand when you pass him something, the way you bite your lip when you tease him.
Zoro acts all cool, but inside? His heart is beating faster, and he doesn't know why. Literally internal panic.
One day, you brush your fingers along his jaw. "I bet you'd look good, all flustered and blushing." He visibly stiffens, eyes darting away. "Shut up." Oh, so he can get flustered.
You finally go for it, grabbing his collar and closing the gap, pulling him in for a kiss. He doesn't react at first, he's too shocked to move a muscle. Then, his hands grip your waist, pulling you just a little closer.
He's not as unaffected as he pretends to be. He exhales slowly, his breathing controlled. But you can feel the slight shake in it, the way his hands tremble slightly and the way his muscles tense.
Zoro pretends it's no big deal, but later, he tilts your chin up and kisses you again. Slower, deeper, like he's trying to memorize the feeling of your lips on his.
He's not big on PDA, but his protective streak triples. Arm around your waist? Always. Pulling you close when someone stares too long? Every time.
He doesn't say sweet things, but his actions scream it.
He still gets caught off guard when you tease him. A kiss on the cheek, and his ears turn red. Whispering something flirty, and his jaw tightens.
Zoro likes a challenge, and now that he's aware of you, he starts fighting back. He corners you and smirks if you get flustered.
He will DIE before admitting how much he likes it.
———☆
Zoro is training, sweat glistening on his skin, swords balanced in a way that makes him look damn near untouchable. You've been teasing him all day, dropping little hints, getting close... But he's been brushing you off, pretending it has no effect on him. Until now.
You walk up to him casually, hiding your smug smirk, standing just close enough for him to feel your presence. "Bet I could throw you off balance."
"Tch, you wish." He fights the urge to roll his eyes, the way his words came out was almost as if he was daring you to try.
Your smirk widens as you step closer to him. Before he could react, you grip his collar, tug him down, lips colliding into each other as you press a confident kiss on his lips.
He freezes. His whole body tenses like he's been struck by lightning. When you pull away, his breath is heavier, and there's a slight pink tint decorating his cheeks.
He glares at you, the grip on his swords tightening. "That was dirty..." He mutters, still trying to calm himself down.
You tilt your head to the side, still smirking. "Did it work?" You taunt him, trying to hold back your laugh, watching his flustered expression carefully.
Zoro exhales slowly, before grabbing your wrist, yanking you back in for another kiss. His lips crashed against yours, and you could feel his smirk pressing against your mouth. This one's deeper, hungrier. When he finally pulls back, a smirk forms on his lips.
"Yeah. It worked."
— SANJI
Sanji flirts with everyone, but when you do it back? He's done for. He's absolutely weak from the start. He nearly drops his cigarette every time you touch him.
"What's wrong, sweetheart? Cat got your tongue?" And he instantly covers his mouth, trying to hide his nosebleed and the way his face turns 50 different shades of red. He short circuits instantly.
He flirts dramatically, and you flirt right back, leaning in close, tracing his jaw, calling him pet names. His whole face BURNS.
You catch him off guard with a soft touch to his cheek, and his whole face erupts in pink. "M-Mademoiselle!"
When you finally kiss him first, his soul leaves his body. His cigarette falls, his legs turn weak, and he grips onto you for dear life.
The moment your lips touch his, Sanji's entire body locks up. His heart is hammering, and his mind is screaming in ten different languages. His brain kinda goes offline for a few seconds, but he'll snap out of it eventually!!
He covers his face with both hands, trying to suppress the absolutely ridiculous grin forming. "Mon Dieu! You're too much for me..." And his legs wobble like he might pass out.
His hands remain on your waist, but he doesn't pull you in, not yet. He wants to play it cool, but his flushed face and trembling hands give it away.
For the next hour, he is completely useless in the kitchen. He keeps chopping ingredients wrong, spacing out and giggling like an absolute fool. When someone asks what's wrong, his only reply is "I've been blessed by an angel today."
After the kiss, he becomes extra aware of your presence. A simple brush of your fingers sends a shiver down his spine. If you just lean against him, he has to take deep breaths.
The next time you tease him, he gets his revenge, tilting your chin up with his fingers and giving you the slowest, most knee weakening kiss of your life. "Two can play this game, mon amour."
Before, he was a hopeless romantic. Now? He's a hopelessly attached romantic. "Oh, you like me?" You tease, and you see the way his lips curl into a smirk. "Like? Darling, I adore you."
He was already treating you like royalty, but now it's way worse. Pulling out your chair, offering you the best cuts off food, whispering sweet nothings into your ear 24/7. It's endless.
You kiss him unexpectedly? He still gets heart eyes, but now he pulls you right back for another. "Don't start something you're not ready to finish, darling."
Completely, utterly, shamelessly yours. Sanji doesn't even try to hide it, he's absolutely whipped. He lets everyone know, the whole crew has to deal with it.
———☆
Sanji is flirting with you as usual, leaning close and murmuring sweet things. "Ah, ma chérie, if you keep looking at me like that, I might fall apart."
You rolled your eyes, a mischievous smirk forming on your lips. You grabbed his tie, fingers twisting in the fabric, yanking him down with a sudden tug. He stumbled slightly, cut off guard, but there was no time to react. Your lips crashed against his, the space between you vanishing as you pressed your body flush against his, tilting your head and deepening the kiss. His breath hitched as his hands instinctively found your waist, pulling you even closer.
Your lips parted just enough to tease, to taste. Your fingers slid up from his tie to tangle in his hair, nails grazing his scalp as you pulled him in, not letting go.
You finally parted from him, just barely, lips still hovering close and over each other. He's completely frozen. Mouth slightly open, cigarette hanging dangerously close to falling, his eyes wide in surprise, face completely red.
His whole body shakes, and he nearly collapses on the floor. "I can die happy!" He shouts out dramatically, both hands pressed firmly on his chest as he struggles to breathe.
Later, when he finally recovers, he pulls you aside, trapping you against the wall, kissing you so deep it leaves you breathless.
"Not so easy when I'm the one taking control, hm, mon amour?"

Beetlejuice x AFAB!Reader || Drabble+Smut
Tumblr media
Plot: You bet him he couldn't leave you alone (stop harassing you) for even one day, not realising that he would take winning s o seriously, but he's a stubborn old fuck so now its been weeks, and he still wont give in. And well... now you kinda miss him. Ironic, huh?
Warnings: Smut. Reader is DOWN BAD, FED UP AND WANTS THAT PERVERT DICK. A little daddy kink, panty stealing, creampie (WRAP IT BEFORE YA TAP IT. Especially with this guy 😅 We dunno what he has 😅), at points its even kinda f l u f f y?? I tried to connect with different facets of Beetlejuice 😅🤣 XD Unedited.
"Stay fucken still." That raspy voice sounding a hundred shades of pissed o f f creeping directly in your ear, as well as the boner you're sitting on, do absolutely the opposite to what he wants. They do not deescalate anything- in fact, you just feel even more turned on. Jesus christ, who knew it would only take 2 weeks no-contact for you to find him attractive.
But-- b o y, do you see it now.
Yeah he's mucky, but thats part of it?? The harsh mossy stubble and forearm hair (When he rolls up his sleeves), the deep greasy racoon bags around his dark beady eyes, the crazy hair that will not be tamed, everything. You know its kind of fucked up, but you have never wanted someone so bad. And if it weren't for that stupid bet 2 weeks ago-- you would have him! Goddamnit. You and your big mouth.
"Come on BJ," You urge softly, using the tip of your finger to guide his face towards you even as every muscle in his face fights to stay strong and remain stern- and most importantly, avoid looking at you. "Look at me." The ghost with the most hadn't looked at you since he accepted the bet, afraid of seeing you and immediately losing. Immediately being unable to keep his nasty eyes- hands- mouth, off of you.
He's been so strong. So boneheaded-ly strong.
Meanwhile you've been going crazy thinking about him stuffing you with his cock and then keeping your dirty underwear after.
Now sat atop his lap, face-forward, you intend to get him to look at you again and break his resolve. If it is the last thing you do tonight. Or for the week.
"I am lookin' at you." His face barely moves; the words coming out forced and humourless. No tone at all. But you can feel his cock painfully hard stretching the seam on his pants, and your underwear. Probably an embarrassing wet spot, too. "Whadaya mean."
You're so close he can surely feel your warm breath on his face. Giving his nose a cute little brush with your own, you feel his dick twitch in his black and white striped pants and a slow grin worms it way onto your lips. "No you're not... come on. Please, BJ?" With round eyes, you pout a little. "I miss you."
With that, he gives a frustrated and animated groan, and finally looks down from just past your head- to your eyes, causing a delighted smile to slip across your face. "Come on now baby- thats not fair at all. Come on."
You throw your arms around his neck as a familiarly slimy, hot, sex-crazed grin spreads across his grimy mouth. That wild look that apparently you love appearing in his eyes again, looking down at you- all over. Licking over your pretty willing body with just a look. "You didn't give me a choice!!"
"Hey, hey, hey- you bet me, sugar- "
"Hey. You gonna take your chance and fuck me, or not?"
He shrugs. "Well when you're right, you're right." Then he kisses you open-mouthed and all-tongue and just how you imagined he would kiss, and swallows any giggle you were going to give. Along with all your thoughts.
~
Neither of you can bring yourselves to perform any foreplay- even though you want to. Want to enjoy this; grind in his lap a while longer, feel his tongue in your cunt, tease him with your lips warm and tongue damp over the top of his pants- But you're more then wet enough already, the fabric of your underwear sticks to your pussy lips, and his obviously rock-hard boner fights to tear a hole in its confines. You'll have time for all that fun stuff later, anyway.
You barely have time to properly taste each other's tongues for the first time before his greedy fingers are digging under your skirt, underneath your underwear, and slipping easily right into you. Too easily, shit. He gives a filthy groan, getting 3 of his fingers good and drenched in your slick; feeling your pretty cunt squeeze 'em. "Fuck, honey, I think this is the best pussy I ever had."
Breathless, you give a giggle; forehead pressed into his shoulder at just the feeling of his fingers invading you; hips juttering slightly into is hand. "You haven't even had me yet."
"Lets fix that, then, shall we? Now."
Your fingers go down to the button on his pants and eagerly, with deft fingers, undo it. He's not wearing underpants, predictably, so you just have to reach in and carefully finagle his fat cock free. Then you swipe a finger over the insanely leaky tip for fun and watch his head fall back against the wall, listening to the wildly horny, gutteral groan come out of him at the feeling.
He clicks his fingers and your underwear disappears. You see it reappear in his hand a last time, just before he shoves it in his jacket pocket; flashing you a cheesy grin. "Souvenir."
When finally, finally you sink down on his gross cock you both let out sighs of utter satisfaction. 2 weeks was a hell of an edge.
You're almost happy to just sit there with him stretching you open, milking him with your pussy, but when he shifts his hips, just getting more comfortable and laying his hands on your hips, the movement sparks a change of mind. "BJ... " You wrap your legs more securely around him, around the back of the chair he's sat in, and lift your hands to grip the lapels on his jacket. Your eyes meet his very dark, lusty ones. Just watching you; a little scary and a little smug and a little pussy drunk. "... fuck me."
"P l e a s e?"
"Please, daddy."
His eyes roll into the back of his head and dramatically huffs, making you giggle. "Oh fuck, baby, you really know howta murder a guy." With all his strength, he pulls himself back together; straightening up again. "Alright, alright- hold on, daddy's gonna take you on a ride."
You open your mouth to respond, but before you can even make noise, you blink and you're in another position entirely. Off the chair now, you find yourself pressed against a nearby wall, your legs still wrapped around him and his cock still throbbing inside you.
While you're feeling dizzy from teleporting, Beetlejuice pulls almost all the way out of your messy cunt and thrusts all the way back in- hard. He does it again. Then the pace picks up and he's pounding you into the wall at an inhuman pace that has you hiding your face in his shoulder again and knotting your fingers tight in his greasy hair.
Your orgasm builds up at a record pace, due to all the build up. It would be embarrassing, if he wasn't fighting not to paint your insides already himself. "I gotta- I gotta be honest, sweetie, I- I don't think daddy's gonna last long in this cat. Not this time. The way you're suckin me in- Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fuck. Pullin' my hair- Damn, shit, Fuck!- " Finally, BJ mashes his groin against yours and holds himself there; cumming hard inside you.
That causes your orgasm, rolling your hips against him and riding it out, making him shudder out a sigh. A vulgar dopey grin flickers across his jawline and black teeth.
... After a few minutes of heavy breathing- you catching your breath, and him just 'livin in it', enjoying the feel of breather meat for a while longer, you finally pull yourself together and raise your head carefully off his chest. "Um... " Suddenly you feel awkward. But not uncomfortable. You give a small, tired smile. "I don't know what to say?"
"... " He ducks down and presses his forehead to yours, and you're fooled for just a moment that this might be a sweet moment. "Uh. How about 'you win the bet, handsome?'."
Quickly you swat him, laughing. "Oh- Never!"

It takes a few seconds for him to process it; it's interjected in the middle of the conversation so seamlessly that it takes Curly to even realize what you said.
"Let's try to keep this professional, alright?"
Later, when you walk away you can swear that you heard him let out a choked laugh.
Curly thinks it's amusing as hell, honestly, and is a little tickled that you're comfortable enough to make those kinds of comments with him. The captain. He's used to people toe'ing around him because of his status so this is a real breath of fresh air.
Grins really wide if it's sexual comments targeting him (like his looks, or something). But he won't reciprocate (yet).
However, saying it in front of the others is the definite way for him to shut it down fast. It's one thing if it's with him, it's another to do it in front of other people.
Misses those remarks terribly if you stop altogether.
Tumblr media
The conversation dies right there with Jimmy giving you a dead man stare, eyebrows low on his face. "Seriously?" he'd ask with a sigh and a roll of his eyes. Otherwise, he doesn't say anything about it.
He pointedly goes back to the conversation before your ''rude'' interruption.
He definitely pocketed that for later.
The first time he does it is in passing, some kind of innuendo as he strides past, hands in his pockets as he makes his way to the cockpit.
He likes to see you get flustered or ansty though, so Jimmy will try his best to say it outright, to your face.
Absolutely does not care who overhears; you started it, so it's fair game, yeah?
It's rare for him to get flustered but he'll probably get pissy about it if you succeed and avoid you for a whole day, sulking.
Becomes a little aggressive in trying to one-up you afterward, but will smooth out once you reciprocate again.
Jimmy is definitely a little grouchy if you spurn him from making those comments in the first place. ("Really? After what you said?") But would eventually back down.
Tumblr media
Anya is definitely caught off guard, her eyes widening and her weight shifting on her feet. "Oh."
She's a little used to unsavory comments directed towards or at her, but this is different. It's from someone she actually likes. And she can't quite tell if this is discomfort because it was unexpected (and in a good way) or if she wanted you to stop.
If nothing else, she's confident in knowing that you'd back down if she told you to.
Kind of cagey in general, but ultimately lets you say them, especially if you two have been friends for quite a while.
Generic or joking comments would go a lot further; she'd smile and indulge you, but not actively make them in turn. If/when she does, it'll be the most out of pocket thing that'll have you turning to stare at her. She's knowledgable, she just doesn't find it savory to make those kinds of comments herself.
Finds it super sweet if she ever makes you flustered. (Probably does it when she has to enact a physical exam of some sort, where she's up close, eyes locked. Definitely apologizes profusely afterward.)
Absolutely loves receiving the complimentary ones that are vaguely sexual. "Damn, girl, your hands are so fine, why don't you put them on me?"
Tumblr media
Swansea just takes a deep breath, closing his eyes, the epitome of a disappointed dad. "That something you heard from Jimmy or Daisuke?"
He's not even phased, so you'll have to up your ante if you're trying to get a rise out of him.
Secretly, a little flattered that you said something like that to him. To him, it means that either you're comfortable enough to be yourself around him or that you're interested in him. A solid win-win either way.
Doesn't bring it up but does act more favourably towards you.
If he does bring it up, it'd be in a casual conversation, or right after you made another comment. Except he ramps it up to 100, and makes it the raunchiest, most sensual phrasing that you've ever heard.
Eyes you over whatever he has his hands on, amused smirk on his face, "If you're going to do something like that, kid, make sure to put your back into it."
Always wins if you try to one-up him. Swansea has game.
Tumblr media
It's such an innucuous phrase that he doesn't even process it at first. "Uhuh." Then Daisuke's expression speeds through a myriad of realization, his jaw dropping. "Wait, what!?"
Absolutely flustered and shocked.
"Are you even allowed to say things like that?"
Either takes him forever to calm down or he recovers in 0.5 seconds flat. Depends entirely on what was said.
Might have preened to Swansea about you putting the moves on him, even if the comment wasn't directly related to him.
Definitely tries to tease you about it, even insinuating that you have a crush on him.
Tries his best to get you back for it but it's honestly a mix of awful pick up lines and botched advice from Swansea. Sure, he's had people make comments like that before, or flirted with him, but it's different when it's you.
Daisuke definitely becomes super giddy if you keep it up.

Characters: sae, rin, chigiri, reo, nagi, otoya, isagi, kaiser
Fluff / no tw / 900+
Note: I'd like to know what you like me doing the most, hc, os (long or short), one character or even multi fandom? I'm curious!
m.list | rules
Tumblr media
Sae - doing his skin care with you
If you don't have a skin care routine, then now you do. He's really serious about this, and you probably get tired of getting side eyes all the time. It's nothing much yet it makes him feel good, sharing simple moments like those is precious to him with his busy life. That's how he prefers his night to start, whenever with music – yours or his – or without ; he's just next to you, watching you putting product after product on your skin and there's almost the shadow of a smile on his lips. Bonus points to the night where you two sit in front of a series or a movie with sheet masks on and snacks next to you.
Rin - listening to your music with you
He could easily put his headphones on while you put your music on while getting ready or doing your makeup – if you do wear some – but he actually likes knowing what you're listening to. It's kind of intimate to him, he likes to share his music with you as much as he likes knowing what you like. He even has a playlist composed only with music from yours and he wishes you never found out (you already did). Along with that, he's obviously the type to make you a playlist when he feels like it or when he misses you.
Isagi - checks on you
He's a little anxious about everything, nothing crazy but I feel like he's the tense one before traveling you see ? Well because of that, Isagi will always make sure you're at ease, feeling good, stay hydrated, and put sunscreen on. You almost fell ? He grabbed your arm and then never let your hand go. He's always asking you if you're good, probably over a hundred times a day. He just wants you to be safe. He's extra caring and comprehensive when you're tired or overstimulated and you end up annoying or cold. He doesn't mind much, he just wants to make it easier for you.
Otoya - have a hair tie just in case you need it
The second your hair is long enough to be tied, he has one around his wrist. He knows you have one too, but he also knows that you share yours a lot and don't always get it back so he's there for that. The second he notices that your hair is bothering you, he doesn't hesitate to put it behind your ear or tie it for you. He loves the texture of your hair between/against his fingers, and the scent when it just got washed. He generally really loves your hair, so he's always here to hand you a hair tie.
Kaiser - leans his hand next to yours
He's not gonna take your hand just like that, no matter how people think he will, I'm sure he won't because he prefers when you're the one who catches his hand. It makes him feel wanted, needed and Gods know it wasn't always the case with closed ones. Letting it lands oh so close to yours, just so your picky are touching in a feather like manners, yet he doesn't move any more closer to your hand, patiently waiting for you to break and hold his hand, winning a so prideful smirk as he look at you with a look you know too well.
Nagi - lean on you when he's tired
You can be laying in bed, up pouring yourself a drink ans looking for snacks – anywhere in the house, Nagi will find you and lean onto your shoulders as if he was the small one in the relationship. You might think he's cute, he is, but he always make sur to put half his weight on you, crashing you behind him so you HAVE to go to bed so you don't die because of it. He does it outside as well but it's less harming. He simply leans in his head on your shoulder, wraps his arms around your waist if you're up and whines because he's tired and wants to go home. People find it endearing a lot – let alone when you shuffle his perfect white hair with a soft smile, telling him you'll be leaving soon.
Reo - get you something to drink
You're busy, he knows that better than anyone else, and if you're not he'd rather have you resting so it's his duty to take care of you. It doesn't matter if he has to order it in a coffee shop or to make one himself for you while you're at his place or his staying at yours, he'll make you something hot to drink before you can even think about how you need it. He'll get a tea pot ready for you, already sweetened if that's how you take it – same for coffee. He'll be kind but demanding toward anyone making your drink, making sure it's done well but will always leave a huge tip because that's what you'll do.
Chigiri - wash your hair for you
Chigiri likes his privacy but less when it comes to you, so it doesn't happen all the time but you two regularly take shower/bath together. That's when he started to wash your hair for you. That way he can take care of it and treat it nicely because he knows you don't always have the energy to do so. You'll always have a nice scalp massage that makes you mmh in satisfaction and he's always gonna laugh at it a little. But he loves it a lot because he gets to see you relax under his fingers after a long day and that's enough for him.

₊˚‧₊˚. SUKUNAS DESIRES
Tumblr media Tumblr media
₊˚‧₊˚. sukunaxfem!reader, nsfw, heavy smut, sukunas little whore, sukuna being nasty, its really nasty
Tumblr media
who thought you'll be stuck, in a snow storm, no where to go other then a obendent cabin that can barely keep you warm, freezing to death with your master- the master you despise the most, the one who you can't even look at without have an urge to punch the shit out of him, it's not like he was annoying or talkative-
it's just he was bossy- bossy without even trying to be, for some reason everyone seem to follow what he says without a second thought. at the same time you can't blame them after all he's the one and only- the king of curses, the man who lived for hundred, and thousands of years. it annoys you that no one can do anything to stop him or even as much as think about stopping him because this is how much fear he holds against everyone, he took over your little village, shredded everyone into pieces just because. shredded your soon to be husband just because.
yet here you are sitting on the cold wooden floor, bones shaking, just because your stupid ass decided to go out look for a special kind of plant- so you can make money, since you're barely surviving with the amount you have right now, but that isn't what bothers you- what bothers you is sukuna who decided to follow you just because.
who decided to lead you into a cabin since he can sense a storm coming just because. you take a glance at the man who's sitting at the opposite side of you, legs and four of his arms folded, eyes closed, you glare a him, why is he even here.
"quit glaring at me little human" sukuna growls out, clearly not happy about the way you're staring at him. he open all of his eyes to stare at your shakey figure and he frowns.
"do all human get this cold easily?" he says horsely his voice is harsh- maybe it's because you rarely hear him talk, all he needs to do is glance at anyone and this would do the talk for him. you stop yourself from rolling your eyes, he's probably here to watch you freeze to death, finding it entertaining to watch you die. but his next words had you widening your eyes that they might fall out.
"or is it just my delicate little flower?" sukuna causally speaks out, as if those words are not surprising- like he's used to saying it. he raises his eye brows at your shocked expression clearly not catching on what's so amusing.
he lazily trail his eyes up-down your trembling body, before his four arms open, he uses two of his arms to slowly un handle his kimono rob, and let it fall losely around his hips- only exposing his upper half.
you stare at him dumfounded, but horrified at the same from how big his body is- he had huge board shoulders, muscles ripping every part of him, you can't help but stare at his perky pinkish-red nipples, slowly trailing your eyes down to his hairless body, you were used to man having chest hair- but he did have a hair trail connecting his belly button down to the v line of his lower body.
sukuna keep his four arms open toward you as he huskly speak out-
"get over here foolish little human" this is why his arms were spread out, inviting you to his shirtless warm embrace.
"are you going to get your pretty ass here human or do you wish to freeze to death?" he tsk at you, clearly not happy about you making him wait- the gears in your brain turn around and you think about the situation you're in- you were few minutes away from becoming a frozen dead body so you clearly had no other option then to take the king of curses offer.
you slowly crawl your way to him, on all fours to cold to stand up- but what you didn't realize is that, it brought pleasure to sukunas brain, his two cocks spring out proudly, he peers down at you, looking so submissive crawling on all fours to get to him, your full round ass peeking out, swaying as you make your way toward him.
once you get close enough, sukuna stretch his two arms to reach you and place you directly on his erection- but you were to innocent to know what they were- while the other two arms tug you into his chest, just to envelope you in his kimono and tie his rob again.
you sit here to stif not knowing what to do because your whole body was pressed against his warm one, you can feel his perky nipples brush against your own, which make them intentionally harden to.
sukuna is enjoying this so much- so much that his cocks throb, twitch, leak, he couldn't help the purring that left his chest. you clearly feel him purring because your face is completely pressed against his neck, to your surprise it doesn't scare you- to your surprise it does nothing but relax you.
the blowing wind hitting against the windows of the cabin, the warmth of sukunas chest and the two warm things throbbing and twitching behind your thighs, seem to make you lose focus, slowly drifting into drowsiness, can't help but snuggle your face deeper into his neck- taking a deep breath of his smell, you can't help it when you take a glance at his perky nipples they looked so suckable so you leaned in sucking gently on one of them,- to your surprise it only makes sukuna growl and purr louder, so you back off staring at the string of spit you left and you give your attention to his other nipple.
you can feel two of sukunas hands gently stroking your hair, and down your spine, while the other two make their way toward your huge thighs, and plumpy perky ass, you let out a small whine once you feel sukuna grip your ass hard.
"shhh my little human, let your master keep you warm" he coo at you his other two arms still gently petting you, you intentionally move your ass toward his ragging cocks, and sukuna growls gently take your ear between his teeth, biting and sucking on it.
you didn't know why but you felt wet, and tingly down there, so bothered like you wanted some relief, so you start rubbing your thighs together for some fraction-
"feeling needy my little pet? is your sweet little cunt feeling empty?" he whispers darkly in your ear, you suddenly feel one of the warm things that was twitching on your thighs, brush against your tingly wet cunt- you whimper it felt so good that out of relfex you started rubbing on it, liking the feeling of how it was throbbing on your cunt.
sukuna let out a groan as his other cock start rubbing on your ass, while the other was being dry humped by your wet pussy, he can smell your strong arousal and it was driving him crazy- he was drunk on it as his hands trail up your kimono and find your drenched panties.
"i- i need to pee master" you embarrassingly mutter out, not being able to continue the feeling, not wanting to pee on the king of curses.
sukuna chuckles at how innocent you were, of curse at such lowly village they didn't teach woman about sex, they only teached the most important part about it, but they didn't tell you about orgasms, or about how good it felt.
he harshly rips your kimono open and throw it somewhere, leaving you only with your panties on, he stares at your nipples hungrily wanting to feel the hard bud against his tongue so he does, he takes one fat nipples into his mouth while his other hand knead at your other nipple.
you still and moan out, eyes rolling at the new sensation, thighs shaking, arching your chest against his face.
sukuna moans as he feels your wet juice drip down to his clothed cock. "aha you dirty little human, did you cum just from getting your nipples sucked? did you cum on your masters cock?".
you were to out of it, to even make out what he said, but sukuna didn't care as he tug his two throbbing, leaking cock out, stroaking them both together, groaning and growling at the sight of you so fucked out.
"Will you let me give the curses a queen, then?" Slowly, maddeningly slowly, he began to prod that cockhead into your folds.
an animalistic growl left the king of curses clearly getting off at the idea, he can spill his seeds in you, from the idea of having you as his, his queen. "sit on your throne, my queen."
and with that, sukuna forcefully impaled you on both his cocks so hard that you blacked out.
you startled awake, feeling intense pain and pleasure, feeling so stuffed that you can't breath- then you snap out whimpering and whinning, as you look around eyes half opened you can see, sukunas face- but he looked more animalistic then he did before, growling and groaning as he lean in to suck on your bouncing boobs. wet clapping noises filled the cabin, as sukuna tug you up and down his cock, filling you with not one cock- but both of them at the same time.
he can't help but roll his eyes from pleasure, as he takes a glance at your stretched out cunt, so red, so puffy, so tight, gripping so hard into his cocks as he plug them in.
"look at you! look at you taking my cock- no both of them, my beautiful fuck toy, created for the purpose of pleasing me!”"he growls out, the only sounds were his groans that were drowned by the sound of his cock being clenched tightly around your cunt, by your juice spilling out and coating his cocks, while his balls smacked on your asshole.
“my queen's job is to obey me and to give me heirs… so when your king says cum for him, my queen had better cream all over my fucking cock, do you understand me?”
you screamed in this snow storm, knowing no one will be able to rescue you from the beasts cocks of his, that are tearing through you, ripping you apart as they rip an Orgasm out of you, making you squirt all over him, coating his kimono with your sweet honey.
"cum again hard now", came the low growl of a whisper.
you didn't know what came over you, you wanted to be submissive to him, you wanted to please him, you gave Sukuna exactly what he wanted. you squirted all over his cock again, it made a loud embarrassingly wet noise, the power of your orgasm was made more intense by the fact that the king of curses didn't slow down his inhumane thrusts into your very abused cunt… if anything, he began yanking into you harder, faster.
there was an insane glint in his eyes, and with every thrust he made sukuna’s growls and grunts began to turn into laughter.
cruel laughter, pure evil, like he was given the thing he wanted the most in this world.
then he filled you, his cum filling you so deep that you black out again, this time you didn't wake up in the cabin but in a bed whom belongs to the one and only- the king of curses.

Can you do both headcanons for park yoon ho and pi hyun wool? Thank you so much!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
P. Han Ul and L. Hyeon Woo headcanons.
Kdrama: Study group
Warnings: fluff, a bit of angst, minor webtoon spoilers??(not that serious actually), might be a bit ooc
A/n: I'm not a fan of han ul AT all but woomin did it so well 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️ I feel like a bit of kyungjun also came in??(Somehow)and Hyeon woo's character was kind of hard to grasp but i hope this is what you've been looking for anonie<33
Words: 692
Requested ♡
geon yeop ver. gamin ver.
。*゚Pi Han Ul.
• he wasn't really the one for relationships until he met you
• it isn't really logical considering his situation but he couldn't help it
• you managed to worm your way into his heart despite all the walls he put up
• at that point, i think he'd trust you enough to let that happen
• you're the only person he genuinely has a soft spot for, aside from his sister
• this also means that he'd be protective
• his sister would be fond of you and that just makes him instantly more inclined to ‘protect’ you
• he just wants to make sure that you'd be safe even if that means keeping you as a secret from his dad (and Minhwan but 🤷‍♀️)
• not really the affectionate type
• and because of his situation, he can be kind of closed of at times
• like don't expect him to be that open about his feelings
• he's just not used to it :( (this doesn't mean he loves you any less though)
• you'd be the one initiating physical contact most of the time but he does have his moments
• he likes laying his head on your lap while you run your fingers through his hair
• it helps him calm down and helps him go to sleep whenever he's having trouble
• i can also imagine him having a teasing side??
• he'd be very subtle with it though (a menace actually)
• but you'll know once you see his slight smirk
• kind of a jealous type but he wouldn't show it
• 100% the type to send silent death glares when he's annoyed
• but I can also see him being a bit cocky??
• not exactly in a ‘I’m better than you’ way but more like a ‘are you kidding me’ kind of way (hope that made sense 😭)
• so expect a snide comment or two
• but if he sees that you're uncomfortable with the other person, he will be taking action
• he’s definitely not the type to let things slide
。*゚Lee Hyeon Woo.
• it takes him a while to accept that he had feelings for you
• once he does he'll be more open about it
• loves teasing you (that's his love lang basically)
• but he makes sure to not take it too far (actually hurting you is the last thing he wants to do)
• he's protective too.
• because him teasing you is one thing but when someone else does it??
• now that pisses him off.
• would not hesitate to throw hands if someone made you uncomfortable in anyway
• he's the jealous type but not overbearingly so (kind of)
• 100 % the type to judge (he wouldn't hide it AT ALL 😭)
• he does NOT gaf (his expression will say it all)
• but he wouldn't act immediately
• you were more patient than him with stuff like this so he knows that you could probably handle it
• but if it gets out of hand just give him a sign and he'll take care of the rest (🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️)
•he can be affectionate at times but he has to be in the mood for it
• so like expect random back hugs from him throughout the day
• especially if he's down
• he wouldn't say anything but just comes over to you and wraps his arms around you
• so please give him all the hugs you can!!
• headcanoning that he's actually a softie in disguise
• he's been through so much, so he doesn't really open up that easily
• but if he's really comfortable with you, i think he'd start to show his vulnerable side more
• however, this does NOT mean that he's a pushover in any way (he just trusts you that much)
• you were close with Ji woo (and Heewon too since you were in the same class)
• he doesn't really show it but it actually means so much to him (since you two were the two most important people in his life)

Can you write more with Vincent? Maybe about the reader adjusting to their new life with him?
TW: Parental yandere, infantilization, forced age regression
...
When you wake up, you're in the same bed.
You're not sure whether yesterday was a dream or reality.
But looking around the room, it sure seems real enough.
It takes a few moments to process everything that happened before, however.
Yesterday, you got caught spying for Vincent's rival group. Instead of killing you, he decided to adopt you as his child, bringing you back to his home where he treated you like his own kid. He made you dinner and put you to sleep.
You still think its a little bizarre, if not completely insane.
Who the hell does that!? Surely this must be a joke!
Its early morning when Vincent comes in to check on you, opening your curtains to let light shine through.
He's smiling widely. "Hey there, sleepyhead. Ready for breakfast?" He doesn't wait for your reply, just picks you up and carries you downstairs, placing you back down in one of the kitchen stools. "We are gonna go shopping today."
"What for?" you ask hesitantly.
"You don't have any clothes besides those, and there's no way you're keeping that outfit you were wearing yesterday. It needs to go," Vincent explains, rummaging through the cabinets. "Also need to buy you things for your room." He pours juice in a cup and sits it down in front of you. "Also need sippy cups, bottles, coloring books... maybe even pacifiers, if you want them. There's tons of adorable designs out there nowadays! Oh, and stuffies too!"
You blink at him owlishly. "That seems a lot to shop for in just one day."
He chuckles. "A lot of your stuff I'll just order online, but I'd like to take you clothes-shopping because its more fun that way. And if you're good during our trip today, we can go to the toy store."
For a second, you almost forget this is a grown man that murders people for a living. Because right now he seems like a normal father, going out with his child.
Its strange how well he switches between this and acting like a mafia boss.
"What does being good exactly mean?" you decide to ask.
"Hmm... No running off alone, staying close to me, using your manners, stuff like that. Basically just following orders," he elaborates. "Not difficult stuff."
"Will I have a choice in what clothes I get?" you inquire.
He smiles at you. "You'll get a say, but I still make the last decision."
That makes sense, since you assume you're probably expected to act young. So most likely your choices will be restricted. But that's okay, at least he isn't forcing you to dress only the way he wants.
After breakfast is finished, Vincent dresses you in an overly-puffy jacket that makes you resemble a marshmallow, along with mittens, boots, and a beanie. And a scarf wrapped tightly around your neck.
Once he deems you properly bundled, he holds your hand and heads downstairs.
In the limousine, he helps you sit next to him, giving you some fruit snacks. You're thankful for that because it keeps you from needing to speak, since you have no idea what to even say in this situation.
"Where to?" the driver asks.
"The mall," Vincent answers simply. Then he smiles down at you. "You excited, pumpkin? Getting you new clothes is going to be lots of fun."
You don't respond immediately, still lost in thought about everything that's happened within the past twenty-four hours. You manage to snap yourself out of your daze enough to nod weakly. "Yeah..." you say softly. "Lots of fun..."
The driver nods, and drives you and Vincent there without another word. You lean against him tiredly. You still don't understand what happened yesterday.
Everything just happened so fast, and the next thing you knew you ended up living with a literal mob boss. This is all so insane.
When you arrive, he walks you through the massive building, holding onto your hand firmly to keep you close. There's tons of different stores to choose from, all kinds of brands and sizes and styles.
You've never been inside a mall like this before — you were always too busy, and couldn't afford to come here anyway.
This would usually excite you, if your circumstances were different.
"Mr. Brewer," a woman greets upon seeing you both enter the shop connected to the mall. "What can I help you with today? It's been a while since we've had the pleasure of your company."
"Oh yes, it certainly has," he responds pleasantly. "I'm here to pick up some clothes for my kiddo here." He pinches your cheek.
She grins. "Ah, okay. I think I have some selections you both might like."
The woman begins showing Vincent various articles of clothing — all of which are way more expensive than you can ever imagine affording yourself.
You don't care for many of them, but Vincent seems happy whenever she shows him another item.
Vincent holds at least one of every major designer brand's latest creations in his arms. Valentino, Givenchy, Burberry, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Louis Vuitton... It goes on.
In the end, he chooses several outfits from each label, ranging from formal wear to casual everyday attire, even swimsuits, footwear, sleepwear...
He grabs things left and right as they walk around the store. Soon, he hands off his haul to his personal shopper so she can tally up the total price.
"You don't need to buy all this, you know?" you whisper to him nervously. "I mean... a shirt is a shirt."
"Nonsense," Vincent replies. "Only the best for my baby, hmm?" He boops your nose. "Now lets get out of here and find you some stuffies at the toy store." And before you can protest anymore, he escorts you out the door, hauling the bags with him effortlessly. He carries the shopping bags with ease, despite you knowing it has to weigh several pounds.
The drive to the toy shop isn't far, luckily. Inside, everything is colorful and bright, with aisles upon aisles of stuffed animals, board games, dolls, action figures... everything one could possibly think of.
Its honestly overwhelming for someone who has rarely stepped foot inside one such establishment.
You follow Vincent to the plushie aisle. "Choose anything you like," he tells you.
With a bit of hesitance, you pick up a random plush toy and show it to Vincent, who inspects it. After deciding it passes his standards, he adds it to the basket hanging off of his wrist.
He repeats this process for several more minutes, letting you choose different ones, while rejecting others based on appearance or quality.
By the end, he must have bought well over three hundred dollars worth of soft toys. You wonder how much money he plans on spending on you...
Finally, once Vincent finishes picking out items, you head towards the checkout line, where he pays for your purchases without batting an eye. Once everything is paid for, he thanks the cashier politely, handing her his credit card.
After putting away his wallet, he offers you his free hand. Hesitantly, you accept it.
He walks you outside. "Let's go home, sugar cube." And he opens your car door, gesturing you to sit down and buckle up your seatbelt.
As you fumble with the buckles, Vincent puts your newly acquired plushies inside their individual shopping bag, loading it into the trunk. Once done, he enters the car himself, and the driver takes off.
"How much was all that?" you finally muster up the courage to ask after a few minutes of driving in silence.
Vincent shrugs. "I wasn't counting." He pulls up his phone and into his bank account. "About fifteen thousand dollars. Thought it would've been more."
Fifteen thousand. For just a shopping trip.
How rich is this man?
Before you can voice your question aloud, you arrive home.
The limousine parks itself on the side of the street near his penthouse complex.
A valet opens your door and helps Vincent out first, before helping you as well. He grabs your hand after grabbing the bags, leading you towards the main entrance.
"Welcome back, sir," August greets again from the front desk. "Anything you need assistance with?" His gaze lands on the bags in Vincent's grasp.
Vincent shakes his head. "Nah, don't worry about these. We're headed straight upstairs." He pushes the button to the elevator, ushering you inside once it arrives.
After all that today, you're exhausted. You rub your eyes and yawn widely. Shopping wore you out more than it should've. You just want to crawl into bed now and nap forever.
"Is my baby sleepy?" he coos.
You open your mouth to answer him, but it gets cut off by another loud yawn.
"Thought so. You're falling asleep on your feet." He scoops you up, cradling you close to his chest. The smell of his cologne is oddly soothing, causing you to relax further against his chest. "We can have a little naptime after lunch, I suppose. Dad could definitely use a nap, too." He gives your forehead a kiss, as the elevator stops, and he carries you to the apartment.
It amazes you how strong he is. To carry you around like it's nothing is incredible, like you're actually a baby.
And yet, you feel safe enough in his hold not to struggle, even if you don't want to admit it.
He sits on the couch with you in his lap, turning on an kid's movie.
"Can we watch something other than kid stuff?" you mutter.
He scoffs. "But you're a kid, silly."
"But—"
"Shh."
As soon as it starts playing, you don't know if its due to exhaustion, but your eyelids begin feeling heavy.
You rest your chin against Vincent's shoulder, nuzzling his neck. Along with his cologne, he also smells like spices, coffee grounds, and a bit like gunpowder. Its a surprisingly pleasant mix, not overpowering or unpleasantly fragrant.
"Did you have fun today?" Vincent asks, petting your hair.
"I guess," you murmur. "I don't wanna do anymore shopping, though."
Vincent hums. "It is exhausting, isn't it? We can stop for now and pick up the rest online." He tickles your side, chuckling at your immediate reaction, and peppers kisses all over your face, eliciting a squeal from you. "My sweet baby, all tuckered out..." He grabs one of the teddy bears out of the bag. "What will you name this one?"
"T...Teddy?" you stammer. Its the first name you can think of, and it sounds reasonable.
Vincent presses the bear close to your chest, which you happily cling to. "Hello, Teddy," he murmurs, "nice to meet you."
You sniffle, hiding your face in the crook of his neck again.
"Aww," Vincent giggles, rubbing your back. "My little cuddle bug. Get some sleep now, kiddo. Don't worry 'bout a thing."

What's this? Affection...Do it again.
Tumblr media
A/n: So like our precious bllk men. Talked with my bsf about these idiot and ugh got to writing.
Summery: how they react to affection. Do they return it?(gn!reader)
Pairings: Isagi, Rin, Reo, Bachira, Chigiri, Sae
Tumblr media
Loading...
Isagi Yoichi
Isagi loves your affection. He adores it!! Would never stop you or push you away. He most likely like hugging you, because that's when you are the closest to him. His hand is usually around your shoulder or waist, especially if you are around his friends from blue lock. He loves running to you after a match, when you are in the front line of the audience, watching him. People around you are screaming. Like y'all are kissing in every photo of his matches. Forehead kisses are his to go for when you are in public. He loves when you run your hand through his hair whether that be in public or private. In general, he would return your affection right away, and he loves it.
Rin Itoshi
Rin likes your affection, but he doesn't show it. Okay, he may return it, but way more silently than you. He would brush his knee against yours when you are sitting, walk you from the paparazzi by putting his hand on your back, give you his water bottle to drink. He, most of the time, acts annoyed when you show too much affection, or when you ask to kiss him in public he'll say no, hoping you would ask again. In public tho, he would react a lot. Especially with the paparazzi around you. Overall, you are definitely the more affectionate one and he acts annoyed on it, but don't worry, he appreciates it a lot <33
Reo Mikage
Reo falls in love with you again everytime you show his affection to him in public. He is also most likely more affectionate than you, doesn't matter if in public or private. He'll jump on you the moment he sees you. He really loves your affection tho, especially if you aren't the one to show it a lot. Here, you'll have to be the one to return his. Nagi is telling you that you are gross, while you are wrapped around Reo. To the paparazzi? Oh ho. He's showing off, he is not hiding. Of course, if you feel uncomfortable with that, tell him. The last thing he wants is for you to be uncomfortable.
Bachira Meguru
Bachira... We'll he's Bachira. If he doesn't return your affection, there is not a person who would. Keeping that in mind, you two don't leave each others sides. Like two puppies in love (it kind of is). He will shower you with affection three times bigger than yours, but it was your fault for kissing him on the face. He isn't trying to purposely show you off in public, but he does in unintentionally! Or he is just all over you and people already know. If you don't return his affection, he will think you're mad at him :( please tell him that's not true
Chigiri Hyoma
Now this pretty princess, looooooves the attention you're giving him, like genuinely loves it. ESPECIALLY if you two are in public, because he can show how much his partner loves him!! Would he return the affection? Yes... eventually. Don't get me wrong okay? He will return it, but probably behind closet doors (yes i believe Chigiri can sometimes be not much of a PDA person) or he'll show it in his own way that is unfamiliar to others, but not to you, so only you could now. Still, he loves having you close all the time no matter what. In front of paparazzi? Quick! Pose! You gotta steal the light!
Sae Itoshi
Oh this bitch, where so i start with him. Does he like your affection? Hmmmm he tolerates it... I'm kidding, yes he likes it, he wouldn't be dating you otherwise. He just would never admit it even if it cost his life, but you know he does. But he isn't returning it in public at all. Like no freaking chance, especially if they are paparazzi. He gotta keep the reputation you know? In closed doors tho? If he's exhausted, clingy or you just ask him enough, yes he would. But you gotta be more pushy. (More passion, more energy)

Other than your car, everything you owned was inside Bradley's house. Over the last few weeks, Natasha helped you load up his Bronco and make a few trips down, but she looked at you like you were crazy when you told her you were going to leave most things packed up for now.
"Why?" she asked, leaning on a stack of boxes in the living room. "Even if he gets stationed in Norfolk, you'll finish out your school year here before he sells the house."
But you didn't want him to sell his house. You loved it here. Being in his living space was the closest thing to being with him when he was deployed, and you didn't think it was fair that he might have to give this up. What would Edith do without Bradley to help her? What would Bradley do in a different state without his best friend? No, you simply couldn't unpack, just in case, but you also couldn't accept Virginia with any finality until you were explicitly told it was happening.
"I just wish I could talk to him," you whispered.
"Soon," Nat replied, and you jumped, surprised to find you weren't alone in your thoughts. "I just moved a million boxes. I deserve a trip to the wine bar, and so do you. Bradley will be back soon enough."
"Nine days. Not soon enough."
It was nine days until he was supposed to get back to Norfolk. On Valentine's Day. Then right after that, it was Career Day at your school. You had been holding onto a few of the envelopes and gift cards from him, trying to make them last, but you were almost out. You needed the real thing again.
Natasha groaned. "You are so in love with him, it's kind of gross. Let's go drink wine, and I'll tell you more tales from before the mustache."
You took one more look at the few unopened letters lined up on the coffee table before grabbing the gift card for the wine bar. But even southern California looked gloomy on the drive up. The wine was good, but you were just tired. Natasha told you all about how she tried to give Bradley the call sign Chicken Man, and you laughed at the idea of that emblazoned along the side of his jet. She also seemed to be able to tell just how melancholy you were.
"You're doing great," she told you, setting down her wine glass. "You're counting down the hours until you can talk to Bradley again. Vanessa would have probably been too busy with her water bottles to remember to pick him up from the airport. There's a reason why it's hard, and it's because he loves you as much as you love him."
You did your best to keep it together after that, but there was a lump in your throat, holding back your emotions, and when you got back home, you started crying on the couch. Big, fat tears rolled down your cheeks, blurring your vision, but you knew which envelope you were reaching for.
Open me when you've had a bad day
As you tore into the envelope, you realized there was another envelope inside it. The second envelope said Take me to The Bayside Florist and give me to someone who works there.
"What is this, Bradley?" you whispered out loud, reaching for your phone to see if the shop was still open this late on a Saturday. Your heart skipped a beat when you realized they closed in an hour, and you grabbed the envelope along with your phone and keys and ran out to your car.
In a matter of minutes, you parked in front of an adorable flower shop with The Bayside Florist in pink lettering on the awning. You felt a little silly taking the envelope inside, but when you were greeted by an older woman with a warm smile, you started to hand it to her.
"This might sound odd, but my boyfriend is deployed, and he left me this envelope," you said with a laugh. "Apparently I was supposed to bring it here?"
The woman adjusted her glasses as a smile found her lips. "Oh, yes. I remember him. Tall? With a mustache? Handsome?"
You bit your lip to keep from making an embarrassing noise. "Yeah, that sounds just like him."
She nodded and opened the envelope, humming in agreement with whatever she read inside. "I have something for you. Wait right here."
Then she disappeared through a doorway, and you walked around the inside of the shop, examining the arrangements and enjoying the scent of so many types of flowers mingling together. You weren't quite sure what Bradley had up his sleeve from thousands of miles away, but you were almost positive it was about to make your day so much better.
"Special delivery from your boyfriend."
Startled, you spun around to see a stunning bouquet of flowers in every color on the counter, complete with an envelope tucked in amidst the blooms. "That's for me?" you whispered.
"From your boyfriend," she confirmed.
You stifled a whimper as you reached for the flowers. "Am I supposed to pay for this?"
"He already did."
Tears stung your eyes as you pulled the envelope that said Gorgeous from between two roses. It was written in his handwriting. You thought you should read it in the privacy of your own car, so you thanked the woman and then headed back outside. Once you were sitting behind the steering wheel, you set the flowers aside in favor of the note.
Gorgeous,
I never want you to have a bad day, but I really hate that you're having one when I'm not with you. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I'd choose to be next to you. Will you write about your day in your journal so we can talk about it later? I can't wait to talk about everything with you. I love you.
Bradley
Now that the tears started, you just let yourself cry.
--------------------------
Constantly wondering if your boyfriend was even okay was taking a toll on you. Your classroom was supposed to be your safe haven right now. Your place of comfort. Your refuge. But a few days before Bradley was supposed to get back into Norfolk, you were short and snippy with your class. You didn't mean to be, but it was happening anyway.
"Just sit down," you told Oliver, voice taking on a sharp, scolding edge that was usually never there. All eighteen of your kids sat with their backs straight in their seats and their hands folded on their desks like they were worried you were going to start yelling. This was never how you wanted to conduct your class. These kids were really well behaved for the most part, and you wanted them to have a lot of fun mixed in with their school lessons.
You turned away from them to try to catch your breath. The past few nights had been filled with restless sleep and a pain in your heart that wouldn't go away until you knew Bradley was safe. You cleared your throat, trying so hard to figure out what you wanted to say for your social studies lesson, but you couldn't shake your mind free from the anxiety you were feeling.
Picturing the flowers that you put in a Miller High Life pitcher you found in the kitchen after Bradley didn't appear to own a vase made you smile enough that you were able to turn around again.
"I need everyone to open their textbook to page eighty-seven." The only sound was pages rustling as you added, "And I promise I'll make this a fun unit for us."
When you finally left work that afternoon, you decided to let yourself open the last envelope from Bradley. It had been in your tote bag for a few days, just waiting for the right moment. Open me when you really want some coffee. You could clearly use the extra caffeine today, so you tore into the envelope as you walked across the parking lot. Just like before, there was an envelope inside the first envelope.
Take me to Starbucks and give me to someone who works there.
Now you were smiling. You got to go to another place of business with an envelope like an absolute lunatic, and you were really looking forward to it. You stopped at the Starbucks closest to your school, and when you handed the envelope to the girl who tried to take your order, she raised one eyebrow.
"Your guess is as good as mine. I think it's kind of a treasure hunt of sorts from my boyfriend who is deployed," you told her with a shrug.
Then you watched her open the envelope and remove a note along with a gift card. Her eyes skimmed the text, and her face transformed into the sappiest smile. "Oh my god," she said, looking back up at you. "I wish someone loved me this much," she muttered and then turned away from you, reaching for the biggest cup and a Sharpie.
You waited awkwardly for a few minutes while she made your drink. You could tell it was your favorite drink. Bradley somehow ordered your favorite drink for you to enjoy. Warmth filled your body, and you accepted the cup from her. "Thanks," you murmured as she paid using the gift card, and that's when you realized she had written something on the cup.
Gorgeous, I love you. I can't wait to come home. Bradley
"Does he have a brother?"
You looked up at the girl who made your coffee. "What?" you asked, taking the note and the gift card from her.
"Does your boyfriend have a brother? Because that note is the sweetest thing I've ever seen."
You shook your head, but you were smiling. "No. No brother. Sorry. Thanks for making my coffee."
As you walked outside you read the note, already feeling calmer at the sight of his hand writing.
Dear Starbucks Employee,
The beautiful woman who handed you this envelope is my girlfriend. I am desperately in love with her, and I would be there with her if I could, but I'm fucking deployed, if you can believe it. Please make her favorite drink for her, and if you wouldn't mind, please write 'Gorgeous, I love you. I can't wait to come home. Bradley' on the cup? Thank you so much.
He had scrawled your favorite drink to your exact specifications below that, and it even tasted perfect. You spent the ride back to Coronado planning out your upcoming Monday. If Bradley arrived back to Virginia on time, you'd be hearing from him by then. Every fiber of your being was hoping he'd call and tell you to pick him up in San Diego, but if he had to stay in Norfolk, you'd take a day off from work to fly out and see him. You had to. You wouldn't be able to go an extra minute without him now. You wanted to hug him and kiss him and give him a blowjob. You needed to feel his hands on your body and listen to his voice while you ran your fingers along his scars.
Monday couldn't get here fast enough.
-----------------------------
The only thing Bradley wanted to do right now was get his phone in his fucking hands, but he thought that if he brought it up again, someone would tell him the thing had been mysteriously misplaced. He already asked for it three times. He'd been dropped back in Norfolk by air transport, and after a short debrief with a national security team, he would hopefully be allowed to be on his way.
"Lieutenant Bradshaw. This way."
He was led into a medical facility first where his bruises and strained neck were examined and the findings were documented. When he realized he got caught up in a dog fighting scenario with the other aviators, he had been more angry than anything else. Didn't these people know he had a perfect girlfriend to get back home to? Did they even care? He made it out mostly unscathed and back to the carrier deck safely, if not a little sore. The one thing that made him almost laugh was the fact that Cyclone would undoubtedly see his medical report, and there was a good chance Admiral Walker would hear from him again.
After the medical consultation, he was led into a debriefing room where he really didn't have much to say about the mission. It had been successful, sure, but he wasn't going to be allowed to discuss it with anyone after this, so he just stuck to answering the questions he was asked.
Then finally, he was given his phone and left on his own. Of course it was nearly dead when he turned it on, but it should be good enough to reach you. Talking to you would come as his top priority before figuring out how he was getting home, but that was a close second. His heart pounded in anticipation of hearing your voice after so many weeks.
It was barely six in the morning in San Diego. Maybe you were up and getting ready for work, but maybe you were still sleeping. It didn't matter. He needed you to know he was coming home. He tapped on your photo, pulling up your contact information as the warm sun and cold Virginia air hit his skin at the same time, and he shivered as soon as the phone stopped ringing. Your voice in his ear was his reward.
"Bradley!"
"Gorgeous," he sighed, suddenly so exhausted, he could barely stand. One word from you, and all he wanted to do was curl up on his couch with his head on your lap and let you take care of everything.
"Bradley!" You shrieked this time, and he smiled.
"Baby, I'm coming home."
"For good?" you asked, voice soft with an edge of concern that he wanted nothing more than to ease away. "Or just long enough to pack some things and head back to Norfolk?"
He hoisted his duffle onto his shoulder and started walking. "I'm coming home for good. Coming home to you."
---------------------------------
He's safe and he's coming home! I'm working on mapping out the remaining chapters of this story, so if there's something you want to read about, hit me up. Thanks @beyondthesefourwalls

Hihi, may I have the pleasure of reading some romantic shrimpo x reader hcs from you? Have a nice day !!
yes, yes you may! :D very kind anon here~☆
shrimpo's an incredibly charming character honestly- like yeah i know his whole gimmick is that he hates everyone but it sort of circles back around to being endearing for me xD
Tumblr media
"hateful sweetheart" ★ shrimpo x GN reader hcs
pairing ❥ shrimpo x reader (dandy's world)
relationship ❥ romantic
reader's gender is not mentioned!
dividers by @/bumblethecat ⊹₊⟡⋆
Tumblr media
♡ Shrimpo... Oh boy, Shrimpo
♡ Getting him to just not hate you is a challenge all its own, so if you're in a relationship with this shrimp, it means you're probably gonna need patience. Like, a lot of patience.
♡ But, once you're past that, it's surprisingly not the worst!
♡ He's not really used to being friendly with someone, much less being romantic, so he's gonna be... Awkward at times
♡ He probably talks about you really highly, but he does so in the same sort of condescending way he does about himself
♡ Like "[NAME] IS SO MUCH BETTER AT THIS THAN YOU!!! JUST GIVE UP, YOU'LL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS THEM!!!"
♡ He gets flustered really easily, so even something as small as holding hands in front of people is enough to have him refusing to make eye contact with you or anyone else in the room
♡ That said, PDA is usually a no-go unless it is something small like that. Being affectionate in front of other people is embarassing for him...
♡ Immediately on the opposite end of that, though, he's touch starved!
♡ Once you're behind closed doors he'll be a lot more open to affection
♡ He's actually very cuddly, but he's also very stubborn about it
♡ He doesn't like initiating because that means directly asking you for affection in most cases, so sometimes you'll just catch him staring at you with rosy cheeks and have to figure out what he wants from there
♡ On the occasion he does put aside his own pride long enough to ask he'll always yell about how he hates being cold or something, literally anything not to admit he just likes your touch
♡ He prefers positions where you can both wrap your arms around each other, but he doesn't really mind as long as you two are close together!
♡ Onto something completely unrelated, you have to stop him from fighting people a lot
♡ You've become the individual the other toons go to whenever Shrimpo's about to try and beat someone
♡ You always have to grab him and drag him away from whatever confrontation he's in to go calm him down. He'll struggle around and grumble at you the whole time, but he won't try to get away when you let him go...
♡ Everyone is confused as to how you can keep him pacified; You're the only one who's been able to do so without sustaining some variety of injury
♡ You're also usually the one to tend to any cuts or bruises he sustained during the altercation. If you didn't know how to dress a wound before, you're about to learn!
♡ Shrimpo really loves you, even though he's bad at showing it sometimes. He's really trying, please be patient with him!
Tumblr media
"...I HATE BEING COLD."
You blinked, looking up from what you had been doing to be met with the flushed frowning face of your partner.
Shrimpo glared at you, though his eyes held no malice; If anything, there was something expectant in them.
You stared back, searching through your brain for what possibly he could want. Seconds passed with nothing but silence between you two, and from an outside perspective, one could easily assume you two were locked in a standoff.
It clicked after a bit. He wanted to cuddle!
You asked him as such with a smile, offering him a seat beside you.
He grumbled something you couldn't make out as he moved to slide in next to you. He didn't object when you wrapped your arms around him, nor did he when you gently pulled him against you.
He sat there for a moment, content to simply bask in your warmth, before slowly returning your embrace.
His grip was tight, just enough so to be secure but not uncomfortable.
...You weren't going anywhere for a while. You didn't mind though. You were happy in each others' arms, even though one of you probably wouldn't ever admit that.
You mumbled out an "I love you" which was met with a huff and a "I HATE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU TOO."
With that, you both fell into a comfortable silence, which would soon become snores as you drifted off to sleep.
He wasn't cold anymore.

Pairing: Noah Sebastian x Reader ~ CW: unprotected sex, oral (f receiving), bestfriend!noah is a munchh, i think that's all :) ~ Word count: 1.8k
This ended up being a little longer than anticipated, but hopefully you'll accept it as thanks for all of the love this blog has been receiving. This is the first of many bestfriend!Noah pieces that I'm working on. The masterpost can be found in my masterlist, enjoy!
Smut below the cut. MDNI.
Tumblr media
You woke up to the incessant vibrating of your phone, earlier than you had planned to wake up you might add. You reached for your phone with eyes closed, hoping it was an annoying checkpoint in your dream.
“Who the f—,” you finally saw the caller’s name on your phone, your early bird, irritating, best friend, Noah.
“This better be life or death asshole,” you groaned, mumbling still refusing to accept conciousness.
“Awww no, did I wake you sleeping beauty?” you could basically hear the smirk from the other end, dick.
It’s not like he didn’t know, his bedroom is across the hall from yours.
“You know you did, what do you need?” At this point you’re sitting up against the headboard, knowing him he’ll be dragging you out of the house soon.
“It’s hot as fuck today so we’re having a pool day, I’m making sandwiches for us now so get up.”
You couldn’t help but smile a little, the sentiment would have been kind of sweet and thoughtful if he’d let you sleep in.
“Fine, only because there’s food involved. I’ll be down in 20,” you finally stumbled out of bed and headed into your bathroom attached to your room. “Oh, and make me a coffee, bye!” you hung up before he could throw one of those smart ass come backs your way that he’s so good at.
Almost immediately, there was a knock on your bedroom door. You walked over, opening the door to arguably one of the most glorious sights you’ve ever seen.
Noah was on the other side, an iced coffee in hand as if he read your mind—something that he’d gotten eerily good at over the years. But then your focus spanned out to take him all in, shirtless with his usual black swim trunks on. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t just a little worked up at seeing his toned, inked chest, and those arms. There was no denying that you two found each other attractive, and I mean who could you be more comfortable exploring your attraction with than your best friend? To say you two were comfortable around each other would be a serious understatement.
“Hellooo, earth to y/n?” he dipped his hand reaching out with your coffee trying to get your attention. You made eye contact and he was smirking at you like the smug little bastard he was.
“Yeah- just wasn’t expecting you to have my coffee that fast.” What a shitty lie. You grabbed the coffee from him and took a sip, feeling completely flustered all of a sudden.
“Mhmm,” he crossed his now free arms, now getting his chance to take you all in. This was his favorite look on you, although you in any form was enough to make him fall to the ground and worship you. You still had that slightly sleepy, airy look about you, only dressed in an oversized tee—his if you had to guess, and a cheeky pair of undies. He felt his dick twitch at the sight, knowing he wanted to toss out his plans to leave this room any time soon now.
“Okay well I should probably get ready if I’m gonna be down in 20, and you should get back to those sandwiches,” you turn around wanting to just get away from him before you lose any self control this morning. He grabs your wrist keeping you in arms reach and tugs you back in to face him again. Okay, too late.
“Sandwiches are done but that’s very thoughtful of you,” he moves his free hand up into your messy hair petting you softly. “I think I need a taste of something else first though, don’t you?” He smiled down at you, now close enough that your noses were almost brushing against each other.
You looked up at him and nodded, feeling yourself get wetter by the second. Here goes that damned self control.
In the next second he had his mouth on yours, moving you back towards your bed. It was needy and hot, but sensual and attentive. He laid you down, running his hands along your sides, not breaking the kiss. You instinctively wrapped your legs around his middle and felt his cock pressed in between your legs, the thin fabrics of his trunks and your panties the only barriers between you.
You were sure that he could feel the pool between you and you needed him to do something about it soon. Reading your mind again, he tugged on the hem of your shirt.
"Looks good on you, but I need you to take this off," he let go prompting you to take over. You don't know why, but it made you blush. As you started to rip your shirt off, you felt his hands pull down your panties in one motion. You threw the shirt to the floor, turning back to see him kneeling below you. He had his hands holding your inner thighs open and he was examining you fully, and for a second you couldn't tell if you should be embarrassed or flattered.
"Jesus Christ, I always forget how wet you get for me," he smirked up at you. What a tease.
You felt a little embarrassed, but he knew that the embarrassment would turn you on all the more, which is the only reason he'd ever make fun of you, he would never hurt his best friend.
"It's okay pretty, you get me hard as a brick any time I see you, which is only all the time." You were already fighting demons here and now his breath was on your core, so close he could almost taste you.
Then he finally did. Noah ran his tongue up and down your slit, instantly pulling a breathy moan from you. He lived for those noises you made, from your quiet, sleepy moans to those screams you're both sure your neighbors can hear some most nights. He began a cruel, slow rhythm licking you from top to bottom, drawing a beautiful string of breaths and moans from you. You were so close to coming undone for him already.
"Not fair, Noahhh," you grabbed a handful of his hair hoping he'd take it easy on you. For just a moment, he lifted his head up looking back up into your eyes.
"Just want a taste and then I'll give you what you want," he turned his head to pepper kisses on your left inner thigh, "Just give me one real quick." He then divided his attention to your right thigh, and you threw your head back feeling overwhelmed with how good he was making you feel. In the next moment, he had his mouth back on your center, this time dipping his tongue further inside you to explore.
You knew you weren't gonna last much longer, and like he knew what you were thinking, he leaned further into you, positioning his nose perfectly on your clit applying pressure. That motherfucker.
"Fuck. you.," you gripped his hair harder, that familiar feeling bubbling up inside you.
You swear that you could hear him chuckle against you, you even think you feel it vibrate through your body.
"Noah, please. I'm gonna," you barely managed to blurt out.
"Come on pretty girl, you're so close," he knew just what to say to coax you to climax. Pretty girl.
There it was. You finally felt your first climax ripple through you, legs shaking in overstimulation.
Noah wasn't letting up yet, licking and devouring your mess, the mess he made. You grabbed his hair for the millionth time, finally getting him to break free from you.
He was so fucking sexy like this. Panting, your juices all over his mouth and chin, and then there was his cock, still clothed and impossibly hard.
You reached for his waistband and tugged them down, tired of the teasing.
"Someone knows what they want," he teased removing the swim shorts the rest of the way and tossing them to the growing pile of discarded clothes nearby.
"Well you said I could have what I wanted," you shrugged at him settling back into the bed ready for him.
Okay, he lied earlier. This was his favorite look on you. Beneath him, naked, all blissed out and giddy--over him.
He moved closer to you, grabbing your hips and guiding you to wrap your legs around him once more. As you complied you felt him position his tip against your entrance.
Feeling eager you started wiggling your hips, which you knew he'd tease you for, but at this point you were begging for any contact again.
"So impatient," he started to slide another inch in, then stopped again. "I told you I'd give you what you wanted."
He quickly slammed further into you until he was buried completely inside. He began a quick and intense rhythm, sliding almost entirely out of you before immediately slamming back into you.
You felt ashamed but this was your favorite way to be with him. Quick, needy, like you couldn't possibly be any closer to one another, falling apart on command for each other.
"No- Noah. I can't. I'm gonna cum again," you managed to get out in between catching your breath.
"Wait for me, I'm almost there," he leaned down and closed any gap left between you. He kissed you, knowing this would be his unravelling. He swears he could cum simply from making out with you, no other contact needed, and he would even try to steal kisses on the daily where he could.
You felt him speed up even further, knowing that he would come undone at any moment now.
You break away to move your lips to his jaw, then start to work on his neck.
"Fuck, gonna cum," he was the one struggling to string words together in between breaths now.
You finally let go, feeling that white hot heat rip through you again, more intensely than last time.
Between your orgasm and the neck kisses, he was ready to fall apart.
He pulled out and feverishly started pumping himself before he finally exploded all on your stomach, painting you white. He hovered over you for another moment, catching his breath.
"One second," he said, getting up from the bed. He came back a second later with a hand towel, dipping back into the bed.
He began to clean you up, making sure he got both your messes cleaned up off of you. You were completely blissed out, looking up at him empty-headed.
When he was finally done, he leaned down to give you a gentle kiss on the forehead. "I'm gonna go get our sandwiches, meet me by the pool?"
Oh yeah, you had original plans to spend the day outside before you got...sidetracked.
You nodded up at him, partially annoyed at how easily he could pull himself together while you hadn't even moved yet. He walked towards your bedroom door, pausing to turn back one last time.
"Oh uh, don't bother putting a bathing suit on, I have a feeling I'll just be ripping it off soon anyway." He shrugged and walked out of your room, leaving his swim trunks by your bed.

— take a chance on me
james potter x reader ★ 761 words
James knew from the moment he saw you, you were the one.
He sees you every week at the same bakery, ordering the same drink and the same pastry. You were the one he'd befriend, subtly flirt with, and eventually ask on a date. He'd pick you up with a bouquet of your favorite flowers, take you to dinner nearby. You two share a dessert, the kind James carefully spoons into your mouth with an adoring smile. Like the gentleman he is he'll walk you back home, brushing his hand against yours until he's brave enough to just take it.
After a few months of seeing each other he'd ask you to be his, officially. Probably with a box of pastries from your favorite bakery, and a cheesy card that makes his heart skip a beat when you laugh at it. You two would spend the evening eating takeout and watching your favorite movies, finishing off the night with him feeding you the last fruit tart in bed. He'll whisper sweet nothings until you fall into a beautiful slumber in his arms.
He'll tell you he loves you. Probably on the beach, because Sirius told him it's romantic and girls like that sort of thing. He'll most likely be in tears as he tells you how much you mean to him, and that there's no one else in the world who could make him feel this way. You'll laugh while wiping his tears as well as your own, only making him cry more when you tell him you love him too.
James wants you to meet his parents. Just a casual dinner at the Potter's, he'll tell you. He'll watch in adoration as you fret around your room figuring out what to wear, you don't want to give off a bad first impression. He'll tell you they'll love you, because he does so why wouldn't they? You'll laugh as he pepper your face with kisses and showers you with every compliment in the book.
The Potters are nothing if not kind. Once arriving at his childhood home, James will take your coat. Mr. Potter will give you a handshake, and wonder how you put up with his son. Mrs. Potter will laugh and usher you into the kitchen, where she'll have tea ready for you. You'll all have a good chat over home baked biscuits, and play a round of blackjack or two. By the end of your stay you'll already be called 'daughter-in-law', and have a tin of leftovers to take home.
James will be nervous to ask you to move in with him, but you'll jump into his arms and say yes. It'll take you two along with the help of Sirius and Remus to carry in all of your things, except the latter will sneak off with you to drink lemonade in the kitchen. Sirius will whine about how it's not fair that he's come out with chipped nail polish and frizzy hair while Remus was gossiping with you. Remus will remind him that he has chronic pain and the exercise will be good for his tattooed friend.
You'll come home one day to a box of chocolates and a letter laying by the front door. The letter will be filled with loving words and directions to a secret location. It'll lead you to a park, one where James had taken you several times on picnics. This time, there will be a rose-filled path leading you to a small platform where your boyfriend will be nervously standing. A small speaker will accompany him, your favorite love song playing softly.
Once you reach him he'll shakily get down on one knee, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his suit jacket and pull out a small velvet box from his pocket. He'll open and close his mouth, unable to get any words out. You'll bend down to cradle his face, telling him he doesn't have to say anything, and kiss him.
The two of you will plan and have the most memorable time of your lives the day of your wedding, with much help from your loved ones. Your now husband will not be able to keep his emotions in check, not even when you're in the hotel bed at the end of the night. He'll tell you there's nothing else he could wish for, now that he has you for the rest of his life.
James knew from the moment he saw you, you were the one.
He only hopes that one day you'll look back at him.
