"Guess what? You never paid for drinks once"
"I know that"
"You are not ashamed?"
Apparently no. None of them wants to pay.
("Mr. Sunshine, ep. 15)
This trio. They were hilarious together. Three grown men bantering over everything. The death stare Dong-Mae gave Eugene when he tries to fool him like Hui-Seong just did.🙌 😂
I loved them.

Chiyeol’s teaching staff shipping the wrong couple, but okay.
They did him so dirty by killing seongheon (donghui) 😭
Donghui helping her, but not him. 💀
The lady from where haeng seon purchases fish, and meat praising chiyeol, as they should 😌✨
You gotta admit even though donghui’s character did some shit, but he’s got a good body and until the end, he’s loyal to our sem (chiyeol)
PS : i really like his body shape, and he’s so handsome too! 🥹🫣 I’m looking disrespectfully, sir. Let me hide. 🙈
Chiyeol, we know you’re only saying that, because it hurts when she hits you, right?
Yeongju filling jaewoo’s head with ✨creative✨ ideas in jaewoo’s head, knowing his noona is just as fast as he is. 🫣💀🙈😏
Not all of them inquiring if they’ll live together once she marries chiyeol.
Just 2739449 moments of haeng seon being flustered by our ✨star✨ boyfriend’s moves!
She looks so happy admiring the sea 🥹

Love it when fictional character doesn't break the fourth wall but instead they're playing jenga with it and the fourth wall is quivering in its boots lmao
At this point bet Sang-cheol watched Mr. Sunshine and despised Kim Hui-seong to the point he admitted that the actor, Byun Yo-han, did such a great job at exasperating the audience with his antics hence the awestruck that happened that day where he first met Jung-woo, a stranger who looked awfully familiar, until he saved Sang-cheol's ass from getting severe concussion on the same day but much later at night. Cue to him frantically typing a text message on his old team's group chat: Can anyone find out then tell me if actor Byun Yo-han moved to Mucheon recently or is that illegal
An hour later, Ji-yeon (for some reason): Are you sober yet, at home, or should we send K-9 search party

7 important reasons to watch No Gain, No Love in no particular order
the rom-com is rom-comming and everything is beautiful
Kim Ji-uk
Don't you hate it when you need a fake husband, so you pick a homely convenience store clerk but then he takes off his glasses all Clark Kent-style and BAM TURNS OUT HE'S HOT and then he starts working at your company and also he has a talent for looming over you and saying ambiguous things that indicate that if given the chance he might just reduce you to jelly in bed? Yeah, Son Hae-yeong hates that too.
2. Son Hae-yeong
SPEAKING OF Son Hae-yeong. She is cold. She is calculating. She is navigating the patriarchy. She is creating so many problems for herself. Shin Min-ah was made for this role, I have no further comments. No wait, I do: I love a Kdrama heroine who is allowed to have a sexual history and be horny. She shoulda been banging that boy from episode 1 on. 3. Cha Hui-seong
POLYAMORY? IN MY KDRAMA??? 🥹
4. Nam Ja-yeon
Writes porn. Has problems. Terrible at camouflage in a built environment. She also deserves polyamory, if you even care.
5. Ahn Woo-Jae
He fucking sucks so hard, I hate him. Perfection.
6. Yeo Ha-jun and Bok Gyu-hyun
These two are a package deal. The utter disrespect this secretary has for his boss, I tell you.
7. Sun Jung-a
Is she nice? No. Is she good to her son? No. Does she read smut in her spare time? Yes. So we have no choice but to stan.
#no gain no love#kdramas#korean drama#this is just perfect rom-com material so far#fun and funny and a nice dose of social satire#i love everyone in this bar

No Gain No Love Review
From giggling in my bed while watching it to skipping every second I could.
Son Hae Young's company rewards people who get married and have children, so to get a higher position, she decides to have a fake marriage.
Kim Ji Uk gets the offer to be the groom but what will become of the fake marriage when they actually start falling in love.
Some spoilers can be found in this review!
When I started watching the drama I was just so excited for every episode and was sad that it will only have 12 of them.
Though, even then some of the comedy bits had some not-so-fun moments. In my head, I want to blame the director because he was the one who did Strong Girl Namsoon and the writer wrote Her Private Life. (Sorry for the people who liked Strong Girl Namsoon I could just not get past the humour)
I do have to accept that the writer forgot what she wanted to do with the leads and just decided to focus on the second lead couple (plus there is a spin-off with them, so let me have my suspicions).
The first problem was that the couple got together too quickly. Maybe some more scenes where they have to fake their love would have done the job but now a lot of the screen time was taken by the second lead couple.
At least, that's how it seemed in the second half of the drama.
Everyone in the drama had a good backstory or at least a good potential to have an interesting conclusion.
However, we never got to know how it ended up with Hae Young's ex and his wife. I would have liked to know more about Hui Seong, Hae Young's other friend.
Rather than getting 'the best' trope in kdrama history - break up in the last episode when it's not needed.
Overall, I just feel a bit angry at the drama and betrayed by it. Why not just let me giggle throughout the drama but make it some kind of shitshow that nobody asked for?
I'm still thinking about watching the spin-off as it's only two episodes but I'm too angry at the second lead couple for taking up too much space.
6/10

Can you do 💗 GROWING HEART for the whole cast?
It's funny how these two questions came in an hour between each other 😂 since you said the whole cast, I'll be including Sofie, Vi, and the managers! Just because.
💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?
Sofie would keep it hidden, so usually nobody can tell. However, if one looks closely, she does start to hang out with them more. Vi is the opposite of subtle—if she likes someone, she straight up tells them to get over her feelings if they are not reciprocated. She gets quieter, though, when she is around them. Nari would not recognize that she likes someone until a) they are with someone else already or b) they tell her OR c) she connects the dots, somehow. But she will seem giddier than usual, smiling and laughing more around her crush.
Manager Gok Hyun-woo is typically tripping on his words when he likes someone. When he was in college, he was like the nerdy student that never went on dates. As for Manager Kim Diana, she's cautiously optimistic. She usually does not "like" someone unless they show their feelings first. Son Seong-jin would dare to do a lot, though. He's not a risktaker, normally, but he definitely becomes more bolder around his crush. And Manager Hyeon Gyeong-Hui would write about her crush in her notes and journals, even more when she is near them. She likes writing down her thoughts; if she can't say them out loud, then writing about it can act as an outlet.
Chang-ho is pretty awkward around them. He can pick up the first signs of a crush when he has one, but suppresses them really well as he knows he does not have the time nor place for a relationship. He might slip every now and then, showing a fond smile occasionally. Andy would know when they have a crush and wouldn't bother hiding it. Though they would test the waters to see if their feelings are reciprocated, so they act...careful, almost. They daydream about their crush though. A lot.
Seungho does not have "crushes"; either he falls in love hard or it's shallow—only based on physical feelings. Depending on the person and what his feelings are based around, he becomes either upfront or extremely uncomfortable even just saying their name. Gracie, usually taken aback by her crushes, has no idea how to process them. If she were standing side by side with them, she'd be as stiff as a rock until they left. She hates feeling any sort of love towards someone other than her family, so it's very awkward.
I should note that although I answered the question, the ROs might act differently around MC, so this can't really count as a spoiler. Some of their behaviors might be similar, but considering that MC is a literal k-pop idol, there is that added respect for her which can cause their actions/attitudes to change.

Can someone find the girl in Kim Eun-sook’s writers room who wrote both Glory’s Ha Do-yeong and Mr Sunshine’s Kim Hui-seong (because I know it was the same person!) and let her out of her cage? And then give her a nice budget and her own show? Thanks, much obliged!

The Witch and the Beast #3 - The Witch's Pastime: Final Act
Screenplay: Yuuichirou Momose Storyboard: Motohiro Abe Episode Direction: Hae-Jeong Gim, Shinya Kawabe Chief Episode Direction: Makoto Tamagawa Chief Animation Direction: Hiroya Iijima Animation Direction: Chang-Hee Won, Hui-Yeong Yun, Ju-Hyeong Eom, O-Sik Kwon Key Animation: Sun-Yeong Seong, Su-Jin Oh, Seo-Gi Kang, Hae-Jeong Gim, Young-Chan Kim The conclusion to The Witch's Pastime arc comes with its own visual ups and downs. The episode, for the most part, was a lot more on model than the previous one, but the storyboarding is arguably quite a bit worse. There were several sequences in this episode that I felt were severely hindered by the boarding, not just the animation. For example, check out the clip below.
I wanted to post more than just this one, but Tumblr limits me to just one video per post. This is a short one, so it's easy to explain. This is more minor than the fight scene later on in this episode, but it's the same concept in terms of the issue I have with it. Abe's boards don't really even allow for animation; the way he sets up his shots to hide animation doesn't flow well together, and it feels abrupt and just kind of weird. There are much better ways to board this with about the same amount of animation planned, and it would have been a lot smoother. A simple angle change to the back of Guideau, for example, would hide the lack of any movement in general a lot better. Even if you get the best key animator for this scene, with this style of boarding, there's just not much to do with it in the first place. However, that is not to say Abe's boards were all bad. There were still some good shots in this episode. I do like that every storyboarder in this show so far seems to understand the strengths in the art direction of the show and really leans into it. Abe also interestingly changes a lot of shots which obscure the face from the manga, such as Ashaf's face being visible when the dummy is revealed or one of the brothers no longer being obscured by shadows unlike the manga, when he's sneak attacking Guideau. Abe's boards were fine, but I do think out of all the storyboarders, he definitely seems to be the most subtle with his own stylistic choices. I still enjoyed the episode. This arc has never been one of my favorites, even in the manga, and the anime adaptation of it has some hiccups here and there. However, I would still say it has been a pretty decent adaptation so far.
Also, if you're interested, the prop designer for The Witch and the Beast, Miki Matsuda, posted the gun designs used in this episode on his Twitter. Please take a look and consider following him!
His work on this show has been consistently great so far. This sentiment extends to my overall opinion on the visual aspects of the series. From the character designer to the art director and prop designer, everyone is excelling. The Witch and the Beast is a series that heavily relies on its style, and I believe they've truly understood the assignment when working on it. While there might be some production shortcomings in this particular arc, who knows how future ones will unfold. Plus, any off-model issues can likely be addressed through Blu-ray corrections. I don't find the action sequences too bad, and the anime maintains a strong sense of style that I still enjoy.
Spoiler alert, since I'm a bit late in writing this: Episode 4 has been out for a week now, and episode 5 is on the horizon. The production quality in episode 4 stands out as one of the best in the series, giving me hope that this second arc was just a resting point, and that they have bigger plans for future arcs. I'll save my discussion on episode 4 more for when I write about it.
