I love them so much! Yo-Han and Elija start out having a very strained relationship, because she thinks he's responsible for her parents death (he's her uncle, and her guardian since she was a child and her parents died). But then Yo-Han meets Ga-On. And when a bomb explodes and Ga-On is knocked out, Yo-Han decides to just take him home. (Yeah, sure, that's a normal thing to do.) And Ga-On just kinda starts living there. And cooking for them. And enforcing a rule of 'they all have to eat *together*'. And he stays up long with Elija and makes hot chocolate when she's worried, because Yo-Han doesn't come home one day. (Because even though she pretends to hate him, and like she doesn't care, she actually cares so much.) And they play jenga together. And they're just so sweet. Ga-On and Elija being outside and playing with the cat and Yo-Han looking out the window. Yo-Han coming home (from being kidnapped) to see Elija and Ga-On asleep on the couch, because they were waiting for him. Moments that are permanently burned into my brain.

There's also definitely strong homoerotic tension between Yo-Han and Ga-On, but that's beside the point.

The way Yo-Han drinks & laughs with the people who tried to gain his brother's wealth, effectively killing him and injuring his niece, all while plotting his revenge to have them all killed in one blow - with Ga-On staring with disappointed, incredulous eyes from the other side of the table, totally clueless to Yo-Han's past and his plan for revenge, thinking that he's actually having fun with them - all while Yo-Han has just saved his ass from being these chaebols' target due to his exhaustingly rigid lawful moral compass and is basically showing him the hidden corruption of high society has a je ne sais quoi that makes this scene kinda ironic and eerily foreboding
