So go watch Space: 1999 instead. It's basically a British Star Trek show from the 70s with the most unnecessarily bangin' disco theme song you've ever heard in your life, and I'm obsessed.

Btw @kiliofdurinsline one of the abandoned season 18 scripts was literally about them finally acknowledging Grimmons and the fact they banged in a closet w/o any influence from the magic alien temple. Geof Ramsey VA of Grif said Grif was in secretly love with Simmons and they'd marry and settle down to start a family one day.

a lot of the popular “queerbait” ships are just “these two characters are friends / they stood close together once” but every once in a while i’ll stumble into an unfamiliar ship tag and see shit like “in episode 169 Scrungko gives Blorbis multiple prostate orgasms with an anal vibrator while pretending to date him” and like. idk what the hell is going on there. but if it’s not queerbait then they just invented something even more insane. maybe y'all are right sometimes.

i can't lie when i say i grew up with this guy. i first met him when he was still nothing more than a couple of boxes taped together with pointy triangles in his head and he has defined so much about me and helped me get to know myself better ever since. i'm not gonna waste y'all's time listing down all the ways he means so much to me but just believe me when i say that he's my one true comfort character even before i learned about the concept

he can run!! he can smash!! he can make your tents!!! but also ffxv was my touch-grass game during the height of the pandemic and lord this guy is such an easy fave. great character design, great moveset, such a rich backstory too which is all a writer can ask for. he preserved me during the lockdowns and he continues to give me serotonin even now that the world has opened up. he's also the only other guy in my collection of true comfort characters.

and now we go to the "does character is comfort character????" section starting with my most beloved barbie girl jin sakai!! and no he's not the ken of tsushima i assure you bc considering how much i l o o o v e collecting dyes and sword kits and changing his clothes so much, he is hundred-percent my barbie. and like...vintage himbo, flawed human being, just wants to write poetry and play music but nooo he loves his island more than he loves himself and just plssss. like cloud, i just love to watch him walk around and go for a ride and kill people and ghost of tsushima is basically my comfort game rn, i can play that thing endlessly and be happy.

Gunna be honest... I don't have many active documents at a given time. My brain doesn't work like that. I've got a Notes app filled with 100 single-line sentences pointing to an idea I know I want to write, and usually I just write them one at a time.

However, this is a rare period where I've been backstocking some fics as I wait for extraneous material to come in. So I have a few active WIP docs rn <.<

Since we're talking primarily Zelda-related stuff here, the last line I wrote comes from a whole ZeLink series set between the events of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. (I'm going to cheat and do a couple of lines since it's a choppy ending)

Chapter 1 of "Drowning" is out now so you can read it for yourself! It's less explicitly focused on Zelda and Link as much as it is angsty fish stuff, but there's still some snuggly bits in there.

I'll be working on chapter 2... Sometime soon.

I cannot suggest this fic enough. It’s short, it’s sweet, and it’s adorable. If you want to see the gym leaders having fun and a little bit of Leon/Raihan, then read this. You will not regret it even a little bit.

Really, it’s just- chef kiss. Phenomenal. Beautiful. I cannot get enough of it.

for being stuck on writing: check out some one-word/one-sentence prompt lists, and go to the WHY/HOW of it: like for a 'kissing while crying' theme, why are they crying? are they sad? happy? frustrated what caused the tears? are they kissing bc they're happy? are they comfort kisses? did they laugh so hard they cried and now they're kissing bc they're so full of love for each other? and write about THAT. Always asking WHY your characters are behaving in xyz way helps a lot with depicting them
