I commissioned a piece of art from my niece to make a picture of a Wren songbird. Why? Well, because we now live on Wren Drive in section of a neighborhood people call “The Bird Streets.” I love that it reminds me of my Grandmother Faye Milam who loved birds and could make just about any bird call and whistle there was! I used a very old vintage frame that belonged to my other Grandmother Peggy Dodd and took it apart so I could frame the art and hang it on the wall. I think it turned out beautifully! My niece, Abigail, is so extremely talented!! My new Wren songbird is perfect!

Sometimes the amount of sass that this boy has just makes me laugh and shake my head. He's such a goofball in the best way and I love him so much. ⠀ ⠀ We're going through a tough time right now. He's feeling a little anxious about his place in our lives and whether we still love him since his brother is moving around a lot more (and his brother is way more... vocal about his neediness). It's meant a few more meltdowns, a lot more aggression towards Eli, and making more one on one time for Kaiden. ⠀ ⠀ It's definitely tough to find the balance of protecting Eli from being hurt and NOT making Kaiden feel like we're always picking Eli's side. His not napping during the day doesn't make that influx of feelings easier for him to deal with either.
