Finally finished ahhhhh

I have this mix of parent fantasy au in mind where Mihawk picked up some strays during his hunts and just settles down, trying to help the kids go undercover to school and stuff, i think it’ll be such a funny sitcom situation.

Might make mini comics of this au in the future, but i kinda wanna get better with perspective in art rn oof

So far, “Hunter’s Shelter” is the name i got for this au, but if you guys have suggestions, i’d like to hear them!

Elementary school sweethearts Bartylus hear me out I’m gonna throw up a bunch of words

Barty is one of those kids that can’t go a single recess without getting in trouble and he yells at his teachers and glares at the principal and he doesn’t put his name on his work when he actually does it but does when he just draws all over it and gets upset when his drawings don’t get grades and his knees are constantly grass stained and bleeding and the other kids are scared of him because he throws things at them and bit someone once and he’s missing his front teeth and he tells people they’re still lodged in the kids arm (obvious lie) and he jumped off the jungle gym and broke his arm and thought having a cast was the coolest thing in the world and he’s just an all around ‘problem child’ that strikes fear into the hearts of students and teachers alike.

And Regulus is that unnervingly quiet child that was homeschooled before being enrolled in the prissy private elementary school Barty was and it’s painfully obvious with how Regulus has no idea how to even look at other people so his piercing blue eyes are always too wide and stare into your soul and he doesn’t know what kids his age are supposed to like so he gets picked on for mumbling about like Charles Dickens whenever someone asked what he likes when they were looking for like a game or something and he bursts into tears every time people even look at him wrong because he knows there’s something odd about him and he doesn’t know how to change it but teachers don’t know how to help because he’s good in school and that’s kind of all anyone cares about so he’s considered a good and well rounded kid for that alone and then gets further picked on for being a teachers pet because he gets permission to stay inside and read during recess because he’s quiet and they trust him not to get into trouble.

So like, as teachers do, they put the class problem and the teachers pet’s desks next to each other in hopes that would like fix Barty. And obviously it doesn’t because that never works but it does force the two weirdest kids to interact on a daily basis.

Something something little Barty looking constipated every time he talks to Regulus because he likes him but Barty’s small and doesn’t understand why he’s so warm and nervous so a common occurrence between them is Barty stuttering out nonsense and then panicking and running away at full speed and Regulus just kind of staring. Regulus who doesn’t understand friendships because his only friend is his brother and doesn’t know how to respond to Barty’s advances beyond mumbling small talk about his weird topics during work time and sharing drawings (though Barty continues to do them over his work while Regulus brings actual drawing paper). Little Barty blushing redder then a tomato gripping a fistful of wildflowers with the roots still attached and shoving them in Regulus’ confused face. This becoming the funniest thing ever to other kids and they gang up on the joke that is these weirdos and here comes the ‘Barty and regulus sitting in a tree’ teasing and Regulus panicking at his late realization that maybe Barty may have been simply making fun of him this whole time and getting teary and pushing Barty into a puddle and running away. Barty being embarrassed and hurt and angry as everyone around him laughs and he clenches his fists and gets in his first fight. Barty gets suspended and when he comes back Regulus is flushing hard and staring intently at his shoes as he asks if Barty wants to play with him.

Something something Barty and regulus giving up on the playground because who needs other kids when they have each other and they run off into the woods which is technically off limits but no one notices they’re gone and explore little creeks and stuff. Mrs. Crouch holding back tears when her son who’s never made a friend before comes at pick up with Regulus’ hand in his and asks if he can come over. Sirius who low key doesn’t like Barty at all and Barty having a juvenile moment of panic that if Regulus’ beloved older brother hates him then he’ll stop being his friend. Regulus who calls him stupid and they go back to looking for bugs.

Something something growing together and defining themselves while remaining hand in hand. Soemthing something playing and laughing in the sun without a care in the world that they’re excluded everywhere else. Childish bliss and innocent intimate understanding that never truly leaves because they never leave one another.

From the “Childhood Friends” AU. Michael comes to Crystal Lake as part of a program for young troubled kids (pre-family murder). Jason is assigned as his mentor for the summer. As shenanigans ensue, the two become inseparable friends and fall innocently in love with each other.
