René grips Condimento Insalata by his lapels and slams him against the wall. Annoyingly, the man merely sneers at him, which René has to give him some credit for. Not everyone can stay this arrogantly put together when faced with the World’s Greatest Hitman and being held with their feet off the floor. Still… would it kill him to simply give René the information he needs?

“Signore,” René says with a grin and widening his stance to better hold Insalata against the wall for however long this took, “we can do this the easy way or the hard way. It really makes no difference to me.”

Insalata leans forward as much as he is able to. “Why don’t you skin me and get your information off of my bones, hitman?” René shakes him, and the man’s head hits the wall. Insalata simply laughs, once and harsh.

Skull sighs loudly, and René rolls his eyes beneath his fedora. “Not interesting enough for you, lackey?” he calls over his shoulder. He tilts his head to the side and meets Insalata’s eyes. “See what I have to deal with? There’s just no pleasing some people.”

“There’s no pleasing you, senpai.” Skull’s in an unusually mouthy mood this evening. Normally, he keeps quiet and just lets René get on with his work, even if the civilian finds it distasteful. The car ride back to the mansion would be filled with loud complaints but never the mission itself.

René files that issue away for later. “I’d be more pleased if we could simply get our information and go, but alas…” The man in his hands sneers again. “Perhaps cutting off a few fingers will loosen our dear acquaintance’s-”

A knife thuds deep into the wall next to the man’s ear. 

“Tongue,” René finishes, staring at the knife. What in God’s name? Insalata has all but stopped breathing, his brown eyes wide as he too stares at the handle from the corner of his eye. It’s a well-made throwing knife from what René can tell, though he has to admit he’s far more familiar with guns, and it sits in the wall just enough to the left of Insalata’s ear that it didn’t even knick it.

Pulling back from his unwilling soon-to-be informant, René turns towards Skull without loosening his grip. 

Skull is scowling across the room from where he leans against the closed door, arms crossed and heels digging into the floor. “Could we possibly hurry this up?” he says. “I have a final in the morning and would like to actually, you know, sleep for the first time in, like three days?”

René suddenly has a lot more questions about Skull’s life outside of the Il Prescetti Sette. Starting with where did he learn how to throw knives like that? Where did he get the knives and how has he been hiding them from the various brands of nosy they’re living with (specifically René’s own occasional dig through of Skull’s room)? And ending with: what final for what class at what college.

Viper’s going to have a field day if they hadn’t managed to dig that information up. René’s going to have a field day with them if they had and failed to share with the class. “You’re,” Insalata clears his throat, “you’re going to have to try harder than-”

Another knife thuds into the wall. This time it nicks Insalata’s ear and almost takes a sliver of René’s fedora with it.

Suddenly, the information is no longer worth whatever Insalata’s being paid to keep it hush-hush, and the man blibbers and babbles his way through giving it to René, interspersed with whimpering pleas for mercy. From who, René isn’t entirely sure.

Skull yanks his knives out of the wall, and they leave Insalata on the floor. René smacks the back of Skull’s head. “Ow!” Skull jerks away, rubbing his head. “Senpai, what was that for?”

“Keeping secrets.” René pauses for a moment. “And your shitty aim. You almost hit me twice.”

Skull grumbles under his breath and reaches for the driver’s side door.

“Absolutely not. I’m driving. I refuse to deal with the insanity you call driving on a good day, much less when you’re sleep-deprived.”

You looked around the room a little, and it was in your shuffling and your yawn that you felt the bed dip with another’s weight.

“Good morning.”

You had covered your mouth with the back of your hand, and you squinted a bit, tears from the yawn blurring your vision. You still knew who it was.

“Mornin’.”

Aria smiled, expression warm as she watched you slowly wake up. “You’re cute when you wake up after such a heavy sleep.”

“Who’s to blame for it…?”

Slender fingers slid across your neck, up your throat and around so her palm could rest on the dip between your neck and shoulder. The purples, greens and blues beneath her hand painted such a lovely picture that she couldn’t help but admire.

“You proud of your work?”

An amused smile pulled at her lips, her eyes flicking back up to yours and you lost yourself in the deep water of her gaze, almost lulled back to sleep with the gentle waves.

“Oh, I’m not.” Ah, straight to the chase with her when she felt like teasing. “Just curious?”

“I think they’d give you some grilling too, wouldn’t they?” You wondered. “No other way they’d get there, right?”

Aria hummed low in her throat, running her thumb against your skin, back and forth. She could see you starting to nod off, so she applied a little pressure to her thumb, to your throat.

You huffed softly at this, head tilting to the side, hair mussing up against the pillow beneath your head. “If you want me to get up, you need to get off.”

Aria was slow, but stood. The feeling of her hand against your skin, sliding away, left a chill in her absence. Just for a second.

“It’ll be a slow day today. You should get up.” She tapped your stomach, or the blanket over you anyways, as she turned and made her way across her room. “Perhaps we could go out somewhere today?”

“Oh? Well, I suppose I can do that, then.”

Her laughter ringing through you as she left the room made you lightheaded. You slid a hand up your own neck and pushed down on some of the bruises to test their tenderness before sitting, the blanket bunching around your waist.

Ene's attempts to embarrass and fluster Kuroha/Saeru just ends up flustering her more. Her forms of "punishment" for Kuroha/Saeru's "bad behaviour" (Him not doing what she wants, like him spilling paint all over the walls and floors when she tells him to clean), are not punishments at all for him.

Ene decides to "punish him" for making a mess, by face sitting on him and making him take it and ordering him to eat her out, but then just has a sudden realization to herself like "Wait a minute… Is this even a punishment for him???"

Ene: I TOLD YOU TO CLEAN, NOT CAUSE A MESS!!!

2021 beta/tkrv v1 yuikanarumi gives me an electric shock to the brain every time I see them. They changed so much now, I'm cry-laughing because this is like equivalent to looking at their baby photos (ugly baby photos in Yui's case).

Changes I can think of at the top of my head now that they're in khr: Unfortunately, Kana can't be a cool-strict kaichou anymore because of a certain someone's existence; Yui has a headband now because he's a Sun Wukong nerd; Kurumi is not the target of a one-sided love anymore, she's the one pining this time; We took Kana & Kurumi's gender and chucked it into a blender, and they also have black hair now.

I have an excel document where I keep track of all art that I've purchased/commissioned since 2021 because that's when my huge craze for collecting art from artists I like started. I did this to really put into perspective how bad my 'nochillitis' gets. I've--- spent a lot on dA artists lol. (don't get me started on gacha games)

If anyone knows Prince of Tennis, I have all of the 'Valentine Day Kiss' songs. Wouldn't you know that they keep releasing a new one every year? I collect them!

I don't know how accurate it is because I was doing it in my car and people were walking around so I got nervous but, according to singingcarrots, My lowest singing note is a F#3 and my highest is a D6.

Tbh I don't understand what this means. KHR has a bit of crack humor to it, which appeals to my troll heart. It's easy to do wholesome fluffy things with Haru as well as it is to do angst. IDK if that answers the question.

— plots vs memes

Mmm... so I'm fine with winging threads and seeing where things go, but plotting things out usually does retain attention for both sides. Memes are fun, even if I tend to write them as if they are standalone things. Some memes are fine to be continued- but the drabble ones usually aren't. I do always make sure to specify that somewhere, either in tags or in the response itself.

If I had to say, I have a stronger preference to plots since it's easier to cater things to your muse. Memes are something I throw onto the dash when I have the time or in the mood for it. I don't have the best relationship with the inbox, so I personally don't have a good association with memes in general.

— long or short replies

Depends on the definition. I'm honestly not very good with sentence threads, and I will often slowly veer into paragraph territory. I tried sentence threads before, but that's when I was hit with 2 word responses- which is why it's in my rules to never give me 2 word replies. It became a peeve of mine.

The shortest I can go is probably a paragraph. The longest... I think to date may have been something between 1.5-2k words? I write whatever feels right for me in the moment, and I honestly don't mind however much or little my partner wants to write.

I can however be asked to keep my replies within a certain length (ie 3 paragraphs) and i'll adhere to that. 8)

— best time to write

Any time i'm not distracted with youtube/discord I tend to be more active in the afternoon to late evening hours. As for chatting, I tend to prefer hours 10am-4pm because it feels like it's still early in the day that I can afford to be distracted with conversations. After that, I do try to stay away from discord if I can so I can focus on writing.

If I have nothing to work on, then any hour of the day i'm awake is a good time to talk.

It took ages to get everything together. Talking with their boss to get the day off, talking to Verde’s professors to make sure he has the day off from any labs or under-graduate lecture halls, double and triple checking Verde’s class schedule to make sure it didn’t magically change to having a class that day despite it being the same Monday/Tuesday/Thursday schedule it’s been all semester. The amount of side-eye Viper’s gotten from their boyfriend the past week or so could fill a pool.

Everything’s set though. Viper even has the tickets printed out, placed in a green folder, and in their messenger bag hanging by the door already. All that’s left is… waking Verde up.

Verde, once again, was sleeping slumped over on his desk. His laptop open and long since gone to sleep. Empty coffee cups are tipped over onto pages of calculations. His glasses askew, and his face is stuck on the pages of his physics textbook. 

Viper picks up the pencil on the floor and places it back in the overflowing pen cup. Tapping the center of Verde’s shoulders, they lean down and whisper, “Myu, I’m going to eat your cake and leave nothing for you.”

Viper backs up with a laugh as Verde jolts up into a stretch. “You won’t,” he yawns. “It would be a waste of both time and money to get or bake a cake specifically for my birthday and then eat it by yourself.”

“Myu,” Viper tips their head, considering. “Would not. I’d still get cake out of it.”

Verde snorts but gets up, running a hand down his wrinkled button-up. “Anything I must know?” he asks. 

“Dress comfortable,” Viper shrugs. “Myu, Indoor walking shoes. Doesn’t really matter.” They gesture at their jeans and over-sized hoodie. 

“Your usual and my usual are not the same, but I understand your point.” Verde squeezes Viper’s wrist as he passes by.

When Verde comes out of the shower twenty minutes later wearing his usual khaki pants and button-down shirt, Viper’s waiting with a breakfast burrito and a travel cup of coffee for him. Verde takes both with a smile, his sleeve riding up enough for Viper to glimpse the rainbow watch band they had made for him.

They busy themselves with checking the location of everything in their messenger bag, but Verde’s quiet chuckle says that he saw their blush anyway.

Verde, tactfully, doesn't flip through Viper's messenger bag which spends the drive sitting at his feet. They do catch his fingers drumming on his thigh out of the corner of their eye. "Thank you," they say.

Verde hums. "Illogical. You've clearly gone to lengths to make this excursion a surprise."

Viper huffs. They take the next left and spares a glance at the battered GPS. "Myu. Like that's stopped you before." They're not actually bothered by Verde's habit of digging through their bag, just like Verde simply rolls his eyes when they uncover his class schedule before he prints it out. None of this negates the fact that they appreciate Verde's restraint despite the fact they didn't explicitly request it, which is the agreed upon boundary for both of them.

"We're almost there."

Verde makes an interested noise and straightens in his seat, flipping his phone face down on his khakis and looking out the window. Viper smirks and shakes their head. He's undoubtedly trying to figure out where they are and guess their destination.

When they pull into the aquarium’s parking lot, Verde looks almost ready to bolt out of the car before the engine’s even off. Viper reaches over the center console and retrieves their bag before getting out themselves. “Myu. Shall we go in?” they ask, tugging their hood down.

Verde snorts and loosely grabs Viper’s wrist, tugging them towards the entrance.

Sometimes Viper wonders why Verde decided to double major in chemistry and physics instead of going for marine biology when he clearly loves marine animals so much. They spend much of the day at the aquarium playing eager listener as Verde rambles on about clown fish and the theories about why they can survive sea anemone poison.

“The mucus coating of clown fish may be sugar-based and so the anemones simply fail to recognize them as food. However, it could also be a coevolution of the two that simply allowed the clown fish to develop an immunity.” Verde pushes his glasses higher up his nose before his hands starting to move in box-like shapes again. “It is all really quite fascinating.”

It’s only long-time exposure and frequent Google searches that allows Viper to keep up with the semi-scientific lectures, but they find it all worth it to watch Verde’s green eyes light up and a small, soft smile to appear on his face. The aquarium staff’s eyes light up just as much whenever Verde asks about specific animals and projects they’re working on. Verde spends almost an hour leaning on a glass information counter near the coral tanks just talking with a staffer about the aquarium’s efforts in revitalizing coral reefs.

“Hippocampus hippocampus, or the short-snouted seahorse,” Verde says, pointing at a tank filled with brown seahorses clinging to their tall, leafy seaweed. “It is found primarily in the Mediterranean and North Atlantic, specifically around Italy and the Canary Islands.” Viper leans into his side, and Verde pauses. He wraps an arm around them and continues with his lecture, hands waving all the way. Huffing a quiet laugh, Viper watches two seahorses cash each other through the seaweed forest. 

It’s when Verde quiets in the tunneled pathway with sharks and fish swimming all around them- apparently nurse sharks can be found in reefs and rocky areas which lead to further discussion about the importance of coral reefs- that Viper wraps a gentle hand around his wrist. Verde immediately looks away from the shark swimming above them and to Viper. “Myu, was this good?” they ask.

Verde smiles. Reaching into his jacket pocket, he pulls out a small sheet of multicolored star stickers. He peels a gold one off the sheet and places it on Viper’s cheek without ever breaking their grip. “It was perfect,” he says and kisses the star. Viper flushes, pulling their hood down with their free hand.

alright so first of all HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS I FORGOT TO SAY THAT. and now i present the three monstrosities of the past as i promised:

2020 was a really weird year, i played idv back then and this is exactly the reason why all of the people in my drawings were so.. uh.. long? disproportionate? idk. Oh, and most of this summary is the stuff you can't find on my tumblr, it was either on my instagram (i don't have it anymore) or nowhere

I kinda like the picture i chose for May because it's a khr drawing and i like this fandom a lot. And the one for September is pretty okay, it could use a little glow-up now, but im not doing this.

Okay, so in 2021 it gets better??? I guess? I found the brush that i loved and now use for lineart, no more idv so proportions are now much better. Can't say much here, except that most of the drawings in December I've been doing at school during English classes.

And 2022! I like most of my works done that year and it's a really bifg progress. Some of them are not the best and piss me off but that's alright. Not much to say about this one as well because i can't come up with any insults sorry))
