#kh marathon

I should start doing a tier list of kingdom hearts worlds across the series

So far:

S-tier: Traverse town (KH1) (one of my favourite worlds in the whole series, it feels like home)

A-tier: Destiny islands (KH1) (I love destiny islands but they aren’t really an actual world… more the tutorial. Very good tutorial! But still), wonderland (very good world!!)

B-tier: agrabah (KH1) (would be A-tier but half of its bosses are awful (genie jafar and pot scorpion are two of my least favourite bosses in the whole game) and the others are just alright)

C-tier: deep jungle (not a bad world, but not a good world either. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t enjoy my time there)

I haven’t beaten Olympus (KH1) but it’s either A or S tier. Mainly just deciding whether to include the cups or not. The world alone? A-tier. With cups? S-tier. I also haven’t beaten 100 acre wood (KH1) yet but it’s easy S-tier, maybe even S+? Idk I’ll think about it.

Halloween town: S

Monstro: B

Atlantica: A

Neverland: A

Hollow bastion: S

End of the world: A or S. leaning towards S.

Last night, I think I was having a dream that started out Harry Potter... and then had some Sansa Stark A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones stuff, before becoming Kingdom Hearts. XD

But the Kingdom Hearts part was, like, that Nomura-san was having some sort of event to celebrate the series or something? And there were like arcade games and the like, where if you got to the ending, it would give you more details you didn't know about the series? I think there were also models of the characters... But somehow, the actual Sora ended up there (I don't know if he came to life from one of the models or actually existed and world traveled there or what. I forget). And then saw the cute little Kairi models and games... and wanted to "save them," and it was cute. And I think real!Kairi did show up somehow.

I also ended up dreaming about Gendrya from ASoIaF.

I was tired of Disney tier lists mixing in Pixar movies and/or don't even have all the Disney movies, so I took matters into my own hands. Strange World has come out since I've had my movie marathon, but I've no desire to see it anytime soon

S Tier - I could watch this 100+ times and not get bored

F Tier - I know I watched this, but I could not tell you what happened because I nearly fell asleep

Even though I completely forgot to post up here, I just finished doing a marathon stream where we talked about fakemon designs, the origin of the comic, and so much more-BUT we made two good boys out of it!

First up, we have a Scalian Flygon (the Scala Region being where the KH Pokeymonhearts takes place) which is basically just a Flygon mixed with a Ryu dragon! Bonus tiny versions of them too in their previous evolutions~ As with most of the Scalian forms, he's a Fairy type making him a Fairy/Dragon!

And next up, we have Zamahorn-Which is a mixture of Baldr's signature "Heartless"/being that he summons to fight for him known as Hringhorn and Zamazenta the shield wolf! He's a Steel/Dark type. He is a very good boy and just wants to do all he can to protect his master--If only he'd been around during Dark Road...

I might be caving in and buying Dawntrail for FFXIV... I've just really been itching to play again, even though I'm in the middle of my KH marathon... Reverse/Rebirth is the most grindy part of the entire series imo and I got a little too upset that Riku keeps targeting random objects in the field when I'm trying to get first strike on the three heartless that just popped up around me but nOoOoO, that LAMPPOST was a PRIORITY THREAT--

After marathoning KH2 on my steam deck (as much as any adult can "marathon"), I managed to finish the game on critical in less than 32 hours*. Just goes to show that I am too powerful with a portable version of the KH series, and Squeenix had to nerf me by making the switch version a fucking cloud version and holding the pc version on epic for over 3 years. Gonna finish cleaning up some of the achievements until I get bored then swap to Re:CoM because my brain caught the strange itch for the card combat (I don't make the rules around here, clearly).

I wonder how long it'll take me to amass a playtime for 1.5+2.5 that's higher than the entirety of the rest of my game library combined. I know the og ME trilogy has A LOT, but again...I can now play KH literally wherever and whenever I want. These games have been with me for over 2/3 of my life, and they've gotten me through quite a bit. I can't wait to keep playing them basically forever now.

*I could've done it sooner, but I decided to get the Ultima keyblade and level grind to 84 before saying fuck it and deciding I wanted those good-good invisible slots in Jiminy's journal and the Moogle shop turned into visible question marks lol

God I love sora so much. When they need to wake kairi up and Donald and goofy are trying to think of a way but sora knows what he has to do, and he just smiles at his friends as he (for all he knows) sacrifices his life just for the chance of saving kairi and the princesses. Then in kh3 he literally breaks the laws of nature just to give his friends a fleeting chance at survival. This boy can, will, and does everything in his power to help others, and he always does it with a smile on his face. GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
