Jaws hums the Jaws movie theme music when they’re trying to ‘sneak’ up on Natasha for a kiss or cuddle attack
Made me think of this bit right here
It's Jaws' own background music at this point, but you know Nat only pretends she doesn't notice because she thinks it's cute 😂

TMNT IDW LIBRARY GUIDE
Want to read the IDW run of tmnt, but confused by the reading order and don't want to spend money? Below is a list of everything in order, with links to library resources (primarily Hoopladigital and ComicsPlus, which are free with a library card at participating libraries) and physical book titles you can search in your library catalog! Happy reading!
This is going to take a long time to complete, so I'm going to go ahead and publish the post unfinished and just keep making edits to it. Readers can at least get a start! CURRENTLY: 6/16 Complete

*I'm going by the tables of contents from the IDW collections, but it's also on wikipedia **When searching titles, assume TMNT=teenage mutant ninja turtles, fully written out. I just abbreviated it to keep the list tidy ***I'm not going to link ComicsPlus because it requires a library-specific url to actually work. Also their availability sometimes changes. I will occasionally include a search keyword because the ComicsPlus search is funky ****Mega deep library tip: see if your library does Interlibrary Loan through WorldCat. You might have to talk to a librarian and/or fill out a special request form. But the complete IDW collections could be available that way if they aren't in your regular system. I was even able to get vol 14, which is currently out of print.

pros and cons | rise!donatello
ship/pairing: rise!Donatello x male!reader
fandom: rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles
warnings: fluff, cuddling, mentions of a.i., not proofread
word count: 796
A/N: idk man. 18+ people DNI
There are a lot of cons to dating a mutant turtle who lives in the sewers. One, being the fact that he lives in the sewers, and you have a sense of smell. Among others was your friends constantly nagging you to introduce them to him, or to at least show them a picture of your boyfriend that they were getting more convinced everyday that he was an a.i. bot.
Although the list of cons might have looked like an extremely long list to anyone else, you focused on the pros. In your eyes, the cons were but a small hill compared to the mountain of pros. To name a few, having a really smart boyfriend meant never having to go to a phone repair shop. Considering how many times you’ve dropped your phone in the lair, this was a very big pro. And with a mutant turtle boyfriend apparently came three mutant turtle brothers that you had become fast friends with.
Being friends with them, there wasn't much difference between your friendship with them and your friendships with non-mutant people. Aside from the secrecy, the sewers, and all the weird places they'd take you and/or tell you about. You did have sleepovers though. They were always fun. It’s just less fun when you're sleeping in your super smart boyfriend's bed and he's suddenly super busy super late at night with some super smart and super loud project.
Now you could cover your ears with your pillow and count a million sheep while you will yourself to sleep, ignoring the sounds from Donnie's lab and trying to gaslight yourself into thinking it wasn't that loud. However, leaving the lonely bed to sit with and annoy him sounded much more fun. After little contemplation, you slide out of bed, trudging over toward where Donnie sat in his chair. With no explanation, you flopped into his lap, readjusting to make the both of you comfortable. Donnie paused what he was doing, pulling his goggles over his head and staring down at you.
”…Hello.”
He felt you smile into the crook of his neck, followed by the vibrations of your muffled voice, “Hi.”
”What are you doing?” He asked, idly continuing his work but still giving you his attention.
You stay quiet, answering with a simple shrug.
”Are you gonna go back to sleep?”
"That's what I'm tryna do."
"Then go back to the bed?" He suggested as if it were obvious, to which you scoffed at.
”Uh, rude.”
Donnie rolled his eyes, though he couldn’t deny the smile tugging on his lips as he talked with you, “Y/N, I doubt that my lap is a better place to sleep than the bed, in fact, I’m almost certain of it.”
A frown formed on your lips, and you shook your head, “Keyword; almost. So no, I will not be leaving. I just got comfortable. And you’re nice and cool.”
"I assume I don't have to warn you of this, but it's gonna be loud."
"I know," you said, "It's still loud when I sleep in bed." Donnie's shoulders sagged at the realisation that he had woken you up. You felt the subtle movement, and looked up at him to meet his eyes, "If you like, actually want me to, I can go."
"No," he shook his head, "You can stay."
"Are you sure? You're not just saying that?"
"I'm sure Y/N." he smiled at you.
A sigh of relief left your lips at the confirmation that your physical touch wasn't making him uncomfortable, and you let your head rest against his plastron, "Nice, I'm super tired and I don't wanna walk all the way to bed."
"I understand, that sounds so hard." Donnie drawled, a rare occurrence of him using sarcasm.
"Right? Can I sleep like this every time I sleep over? Wait, don't answer that, I've made up my mind and I wanna."
"Sigh," Donnie sighed, but you could still see the slight smile on his lips, “Get a boyfriend they said. It’ll be fun, they said.”
"I heard that."
"Good, it was intended for you to hear." he pulled his goggles down, and handed you a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Thanking him, you placed them over your ears, yawning as you readjusted to a more comfortable position.
You fell asleep shortly after that, and woke up in bed, cuddled up to Donnie. He was still sleeping soundly, and judging by the bags under his eyes, you assumed you got a better night's sleep than him. You smiled, cuddling closer to him as you let yourself sleep some more. There was truly no better feeling than waking up next to him. The pros definitely outweigh the cons when it comes to dating Donnie.

Fun fact: if you keyword search on Tumblr you'll find weirder things than you expect.
Like fics where Batman & Danny Phantom are mermaids on the Subnautica planet. Or discussions about what birth control the teenage mutant ninja turtles would use to not get pregnant. The male turtles, yes.

Hii! I loved that request you did about the mutant child!reader for the 2k12 boys, so i'd like to ask more headcanons about how splinter reacted to the reader being brought to the lair, or if you don't want to, maybe some headcanons about the reader becoming more at ease with the turtles, like being more comfortable with gentle touches and hugs, talking and laughing more... overall behaving like an actual happy child in general?
Sorry if I rambled too much ^^' love your works!
Awh thank you! For the record I don't mind long asks, it just gives me more to work with ;)
2012 Splinter & child mutant
★He feels bad with how you where treated before being brought to the lair. It practically broke his heart when Leonardo explained the situation. I think Leo was nervous that Splinter would get mad for bringing another person into the lair.
★ He already has experience raising children, so that part is nothing new to him. After raising his four sons he's practically a pro up parenting at this point.
★ Splinter thought he might have some trouble getting his sons to calm down around you. He's surprised with how calm they all (specifically Raph) act when you are nearby. They even try to yell less when you are around.
★ While we are on the subject of his sons, now is a good time to bring up the fact that they are all very protective of you. In there eyes you've been through enough and deserve to be happy. They are all going to do there best to make you happy.
★ Mikey tries to make cookies with you. Keyword tries, they end up a little burned on the bottom and kinda chewy but they are all still good!
★After living with him and the turtles for awhile you start to trust him. This has resulted in you going to him when you have a bad dream, have a panic attack or if repressed memories come up. No matter what happened, he's going to make you a cut of tea and gives you a bit of advice.

Okay how about this, the creature type “mutant” exists, so how about updating the rules to make mutants able to mutate even if they are also human science a mutant not being able to mutate (see cytoplast manipulator) sound dumb.
We don't like creature types having mechanical meaning. It's why we made the defender keyword, so becoming a Wall didn't inherently keep you from attacking.

I came back from watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem... And I had a great time! I love how different and yet so familiar this new iteration was. There was so much I loved about it.
The visuals were amazing; thank you, Spiderverse animators, for initiating a fresh animation golden age! The story was fun! I honestly forgot this movie was PG at certain points because they got away with a lot of stuff here, from mild gore, body horror, and DEATH.
And the characters... AAHH so good! I love these turtles so much. They're just goofy, charming, scrunkly, precious little rascals; I wanted to hug them and protect them so badly! I also liked this version of Splinter and April. And I just loved the found family they all created at the end.
Just look at them. Precious babies. All of them. They deserve love.
So yeah, other than one or two minor scenes (keyword: puke, if you know you know) I had a great time! I'm curious to see where this iteration goes in other projects, especially with that mid-credits scene. Though I hope to see Rise come back somehow since that show was unfairly prematurely cut and deserves better, I'm also excited to where this version goes.
If you are a fan of TMNT, animation, or just want a fun and crazy time, please give this movie a chance.

Day 31. 2023. Last summer we had a brand new TMNT movie. The first animated one since 07 too. And it was an amazing film, with an amazing art style & amazing story overall. A good 9/10 experience. Of course my favorite part being Baxter. I love his design. I love his voice (Giancarlo the goat). I love his intentions. The first possible honest Stockman since the 87 cartoon. Bro just wanted his own little mutant family how could you not? Granted he only had like 5 minutes of screentime as he was supposedly killed in the beginning. Again keyword supposedly. I still think he might be alive. Listen. Baxter's survived getting blown up before, we literally have Ronin as proof, not to mention he's been a LITERAL DISEMBODIED BRAIN & still kicking. Baxter Stockman as he said himself "Is not so easily dismissed!" Point being. He's survived worse. He's come back from worse. He's still out there somewhere. That said, for as little as we got him, I still thought he was a great addition to the Stockmanverse with a lot of potential to dive into. And hopefully we somehow see him again in the future installments.
And with that. This little evolution series is for now completed. It's been a long journey with this mini project that I'm glad to see finished as I hope I do with other projects. Thanks Peter & Kevin for the turtles & especially thanks for creating this amazing character, Dr. Baxter Stockman.

my ideas for rewriting fallout 4
So, I've been thinking a lot lately about what writing changes I'd make to Fallout 4. Disclaimer that I've only finished the game once, siding with the minutemen, and I'm currently on a BoS playthrough. And I haven't finished any other Fallout game. So my knowledge is quite limited. But I still have ideas.
(This is gonna be sparse on precise details. I'm going big picture here)
Main problems to fix:
-Main plot is very railroaded, with little influence over how it goes, and lots of plot holes
-Missed potential with companions and NPCs
-Doesn't feel like an RPG. On one hand, it's clear Bethesda wasn't trying to MAKE a full RPG — they wanted to make it more of a first-person shooter exploration game. On the other hand, this is a fucking Fallout game. We're making it an RPG.
-Factions are very one-dimensional
-Little to no meaningful moral choices
GAME MECHANIC CHANGES
We're using the skills, perks and traits system from New Vegas, because different options for using different skills in dialogue is so fucking choice. And yes we're also using the New Vegas dialogue system where you can see what you're saying, there's no percentages, and you get a stupider thing to say if you can't make the check — no more of this four keyword bullshit. Also no more Radiant quests. We never needed those and they suck.
Also the reputation system from New Vegas. So you don't instantly become a faction enemy by shooting a guy once if you've helped them out a lot. (Cute minor detail: becoming friends with Piper increases your Diamond City reputation as she spreads pro sole survivor propaganda)
This reputation system should come with different raider factions. No more generic raiders. You should be able to be chill with the Gunners.
MAIN THEMES
Fallout 4 is set in Boston, arguably the birthplace of America. There's backstory of the Minutemen trying to start a sort of coalition Commonwealth government, which was ruined by the Institute. This is the perfect opportunity for the main plot to center around trying to build a government. How can these disparate factions of the Wasteland be brought together to create a nation? What sacrifices/compromises will you make? Who will you accept as allies, and who will you destroy? So that's one main idea: the creation of a new nation.
The other main idea: technology. What is the right way to use technology to build something new? What are the dangers of technology advancing too fast? How can government ethically use emerging technology to build itself, without misusing it in exercises of power? This meshes well with the synths. Which brings me to...
SYNTHS
Synths are no longer robots per se. They're genetically engineered clones with cybernetic components — pretty sure that's what they're like in canon, but it's made more explicit here. They existed before Shaun's kidnapping, but this resulted in mutations because they were using irradiated DNA, and the Institute was obsessed with creating the perfect human. The Super Mutants are an offshoot of that effort.
So. You start the game. This goes pretty much the same, except Kellog is slightly more fucked up physically — he has some sort of very obvious and distinct mutation, maybe looks a bit like a super mutant. This makes it a lot more plausible that people would recognize him by description alone.
Then things proceed as normal until you meet the minutemen.
THE MINUTEMEN
The Minutemen aren't a disparate collection of settlers + Preston anymore — they're the last remnants of the provisional Commonwealth government. Preston has lost hope that peace in the Wasteland is possible, and is just looking for a safe place to hunker down.
The Minutemen fill a similar role as canon, in that they're a faction who's most compatible with other factions. However, this should be framed as a flaw. Preston believes that stability is the highest good, and is willing to sacrifice other values for that goal.
The Minutemen quests should be less black and white. Each quest to gain a settlement should have a complication. Maybe a settlement leader values their independence, and you can threaten them into joining the Minutemen. Maybe a settlement will only join you if you chase away a nearby band of ghouls — but it turns out those ghouls aren't feral, and have finally found a place to settle down. Do you try to broker peace? Do you chase off the ghouls? Do you chase off the settlers?
Minutemen quests are no longer radiant, and offer opportunities to run across other factions. For example, maybe a settlement wants you help rooting out synths in their community, which brings you in conflict with the railroad. Maybe a settlement has been defending itself with pre-war technology which you can grab the blueprints for and use to defend other settlements, which attracts Brotherhood attention.
The ultimate goal of the Minutemen is to make the Commonwealth into a proper country, or as close as you can get to that in the Wasteland. To that end, they want to bring Diamond City and Goodneighbor into the fold, and get as many factions on board as they can.
Speaking of Diamond City and Goodneighbor...
DIAMOND CITY AND GOODNEIGHBOR
You come across Diamond City and quickly learn that the city used to have a population of ghouls, super mutants, and even synths. However, they were all recently run out of town by Mayor McDonough as a direct result of Piper's journalism pressuring him into taking action to divert suspicion from himself. Piper didn't like that this happened, but refuses at first to acknowledge the harm that her synth fearmongering causes, even though one of the people run out of town was a friend of hers — Nick Valentine, a prototype synth who once looked human but had a mechanical skeleton and brain. His biological parts have since worn away, and he's replaced them with robotic ones.
There are several ways to go from here to find Kellogg. You can track down Nick in Goodneighbor. You can get help from Piper and the information she's been gathering on the Institute. Maybe even the Minutemen will have insight, because Kellogg had a role in the failure of the previous government effort. Whichever way, you find Kellogg, and...
He has no idea who you are or why you're after him.
KELLOGG
Kellogg is, like Nick Valentine, a prototype synth bridging the gap between meat and machine. He seems like a mutated human, but his brain is mostly cybernetic. However, unlike Nick, he wasn't built from the ground up. He started as a normal human. He came across the Institute when he still had a wife and daughter. And in exchange for his skills, the Institute promised him immortality for him and his family. Kellogg didn't realize that what the Institute really wanted was willing subjects for experimentation.
As time went on, though, Kellogg and his family began to deteriorate and mutate. Their cybernetics got side effects. His daughter was unable to properly age. So he jumped at the chance to help acquire better DNA, thinking the Institute would use it to help him and his family.
Once they had Shaun, though, the Institute no longer had need for Kellogg, and they certainly didn't waste their effort using that DNA to save his family. His wife and daughter succumbed to the horror that had been wreaked on their bodies, and Kellogg himself went into hiding. He went to the Railroad, who wiped his memory and gave him a new identity and shelter, where he now lives as a recluse.
When the player finds him, he doesn't know who they are. He has false memories. You are given a choice: do you let the man who killed your wife and is the only lead you have on your son live a peaceful life, forcing you to go far out of your way and do some other shit to find leads? Or do you bring back his memories and make him the murderer he used to be?
There's a third option: you can copy his brain, basically, and upload those memories into Nick in the memory den like you do in canon. But doing this permanently damages Nick, and you have to reckon with Kellogg slowly assimilating into his personality like canon was GOING to do and DIDN'T.
THE RAILROAD
The Railroad is pretty boring in canon. "Slavery Bad" is a noble motivation for a faction, but it doesn't offer a lot of opportunities for interesting moral choices. Moreover, their conflict with the Brotherhood is so laughably forced in canon I can't believe the game shipped like that. But I came up with a simple change that I think makes them better.
They're a bunch of Super Mutants. (With some synths and ghouls sprinkled in)
Due to their lack of bloodlust, they're not exactly welcome in other Super Mutant communities. But they also share the belief that super mutants are the next stage in human evolution. They believe that humanity should be free to evolve into many different forms, and see synths as an extension of this. After all, they say, it's clear that humanity can't progress in the Wasteland by clinging to its current form. They don't seek to destroy the Institute — they seek to take it over, to offer super mutants and synths the ability to make more of their own. This makes them an inherent threat to the stability of the Commonwealth, even though they are sympathetic with a coherent ideology.
There's varying opinions within the Railroad on wiping synths' memories. Some object to it, believing it's unnecessary and dangerous. Some are idealists, believing that synths should have the option to live the normal life that Super Mutants can't — maybe some of the railroad mutants wish they could become human again. (Maybe you even have the option to give them Virgil's serum). Some believe the memory wipes are necessary to cut off the synths' loyalty to the railroad.
(If you take Synth Shaun with you at the end, you can have the Railroad wipe his memory and replace it with memories of you as his father. Fucked up!)
The Railroad keeps records of synths they've relocated. You can access these records, either through gaining their trust or through bein' a little stinker. That's one way to find Kellogg. But the records are scattered and encoded.
So. You've found Kellogg. You've Dealt With Him. You've probably made contact with the Railroad. How do you get into the Institute?
I think there need to be more options for how to do this. But I don't know what they are. We're moving on.
TO THE BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL!!!
When you first meet the Brotherhood in the police station, you quickly learn that they've changed their secluded ways. They've decided that there will be no future society that will need their technology if they don't interfere now, and the Institute, which actually develops technology instead of hoarding it, has lit a fire under their asses. But they've overcorrected and overstretched themselves. Paladin Danse believes it's their duty to secure the Commonwealth to protect its citizens, but acknowledges that they don't have the manpower. Knight Rhys has beef with Elder Maxson, thinking that the Brotherhood needs to focus on securing its existing territory before expanding. And Scribe Haylen?
She's a ghoul. The first in the Brotherhood. She's pre-war, and got her way into the Brotherhood because they saw value in having someone who could actually remember the origin of the technology they seek...and because Paladin Danse vouched for her despite his own hatred of ghouls. That's why she's so loyal to him. Danse still obviously doesn't like ghouls, but trusts Haylen in spite of that.
The Brotherhood storyline I want is a McCarthyism allegory. When they start causing too much trouble for the Institute, the Institute strikes back. But not with Coursers and synths. No, the Institute works in the shadows. They "accidentally" let slip data that shows there are synths planted in whichever factions they're enemies with at that point (which depends on the players' actions, and if you side with the Institute, you help them do this). This includes the reveal that there's a synth in the Brotherhood.
Cue the witchhunt. Everyone's suspicious and paranoid. The Brotherhood can't get anything done, because they're self-cannibalizing due to their synth hatred.
Because the player isn't part of the Brotherhood, Maxson and Danse know that you can't be the synth. So they trust you to root them out. Even if you're not in the brotherhood but you're on good terms with Danse, he asks you to help him. He says that synths are tearing his organization apart, and he can't bear to see his trusted comrades in arms turn against each other like this. (If your speech score is high enough, at this point you can start convincing him that it isn't the existence of synths that's a problem, it's the brotherhood's own attitudes that have led them to this point)
That's right: Maxson doesn't find out Danse is a synth offscreen. You figure it out. Maybe you take that Institute data. Maybe you find out from the railroad. Maybe you get Nick or Piper's help. And then you get to decide what to do with that information. You can keep it to yourself and watch the Brotherhood tear itself apart. You can tell Maxson, initiating a more canon version of Blind Betrayal as Haylen tips Danse off. You can tell Danse...but unless you talk him out of it, he'll reveal his true nature to the Brotherhood, hoping to end the witch hunt. But if Danse is caught, it doesn't stop. Now that one synth is exposed, after all, who's to say there aren't more? To save the Brotherhood, there are a few options. You can kill Danse and convince Maxson there are no more synths. You can expose Danse and make him the new Elder, changing Brotherhood policy on synths. You can lie to the Brotherhood, saying there are no synths after all and the Institute was just starting shit.
If the truth about Danse becomes known, you and the Brotherhood find out that it was the Railroad who wiped Danse's memory and planted him as a junk dealer. If Danse was exposed and killed, this leads to the Brotherhood going after the Railroad, believing it's too risky to leave them around as they could plant synths in the Brotherhood again. If you change the Brotherhood, this is a possible way to ally them with the Railroad, if you can convince them that they should ally with the peaceable faction of their enemies and that their policy of super mutant/synth genocide isn't tenable for maintaining control of an area.
But yeah, Danse's arc is a microcosm of the Brotherhood's arc: blind hatred of the Other is incompatible with their continued existence. In the Wasteland, you either change or you die. Cling to the remnants of the old world, and even if you surround yourself with bunkers and power armor, you will be destroyed from within.
Anyway. That's all I have for now — I'm still thinking about what to do with the Institute, and there are a lot of companions I haven't met, so I don't know what to do with them. But I think this is a good start. Feel free to add your thoughts/questions.

CK64 Theory: The "Magic" of Corn Powers
(Image Credit: Google, Steam Card Exchange)
This theory is a little longer than my last, but nothing too lengthy
"Corn Powers": according to Alexis, the ability for goats to seemingly do anything in their dreams. Case in point, her ability to portal-travel and do other things for Seve, then him being able to do professional parkour and his horn-dash attack. Yet, it appears to go beyond simple lucid dreaming...
Assuming Seve is falling asleep and dreaming again each time we start the game up, doesn't it seem strange that everything would remain altered the way it priorly was? "Lexi's Monster Park" still remains after Alexis gutted out the Nacho Emporium for her own personal touch. Depending on what you've done thus far in Owlloh's Hollow, the changes remain. They're clearly not just random scenarios the mind generates during sleep-based brain activity, they're clearly manipulatable realms of their own being. In fact, Alexis even states the existence of some "infinite nacho" realm like it's its own thing.
There's also the mentioned fact that Alexis relies on Seve's dreams and their corn powers to make seeing each other possible. If you believe Alexis to be a “real” goat, like Seve, then it means they've got this magical ability to visit each other in these "dreams." Keyword: "magic,” as in the supernatural ability to impact and enter these realms, and perform abilities within them. All that’s required is the magical being to fall asleep (or possibly something similar), then their powers become possible.
Plus, look at Seve and Alexis… They’re clearly not just normal goats-- and not in regards to Seve claiming themselves as being “developmentally crippled mutant goats.” Look no further than the odd, singular horn upon these goats’ heads: they’re reminiscent of unicorn horns, and you’d probably even assume Seve and Alexis unicorns if you didn’t hear them point out their caprine nature (or hear them “baaa” in-game). Is it possible that they could be less “mutant goats” and more the deformed descendents of actual unicorns? Obviously, in our world, goats and horses aren’t related; but who’s to say it’s not possible in Seve and Alexis’ world?
Equines belong to the “perissodactyls” group, which are a group of herbivore mammals known for having an odd number of digits. While Seve and Alexis have two digits on the hooves serving as their feet, they have three digits on the hooves serving as hands. Throw in the unicorn-like horns, and you start to wonder if-- even if they’re clearly not pure unicorns --there could be such equine ancestry within them. Who knows: perhaps there was a time goats managed to eventually be alongside actual unicorns and that led to some “mixing,” per se? Then, the obviously inherited magic could’ve caused that very “mutation” into the anthropomorphic beings we see now? There’s never any mention that, say, nuclear waste was instead responsible for such “mutating.” So, there could be a chance that the goats of Seve and Alexis’ world are really a hybrid species-- assuming everyone else or a good number of them also sport a singular horn, but it’s likely everyone else sports the same combination of feet-hooves with even digits and hand-hooves with odd digits.
Perhaps only the more "magical" of goats, those who are more in touch with said unicorn ancestry, spout just one horn to prove their stronger magic? Therefore, you have the lone horn as one of these goats, you’re a caprine of magical capabilities via your dreams. There are even real world cases where spiritual abilities activate when someone’s asleep or in a similar state: clairvoyant dreams that predict the future, the sleep-like state of astral projection that allows you to travel spiritually by removing your soul from its body (or how you’d specifically explain it)... It appears such abilities are possible for those like Seve and Alexis, and they shine brightest when asleep and dreaming (perhaps even astral projecting themselves to these "dream realms" instead).
But what say you? Do you think Seve and Alexis are actually related to unicorns and thus have sleep/dream-based magical powers, or are "corn powers" something else?

could we know what the backstory behind mina getting autopsied was? i know you said her mother permitted it while under the influence, but why? and who is "some people"?
doesn't have enough backstory to back up what im saying but the long story short is somebody once had a AU where Mina was a real alien and she had an autopsy and i just thought the idea was neat cause she's a alien girl there was never really any thought behind me giving her autopsy scar but i have to make something up
I HOWEVER DO HAVE SOME BACKSTORY FOR HER MOM
I HC Mina was on accident, didn't mean to have another kid, cause they already had one which is Mina's big bro, so her parents accidently had another kid which is her.
Mina reminds me of Amy rose from Sonic in the sense that she says she wants to fall in love one day but can't really do it (its somewhere on her wiki that Mina said this in the novel i think. That she likes to match make her friends but falling in love herself is tough to do DONT QUOTE ME I MIGHT HAVE READ THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE), it reminds me so much of Amy, and i have headcanons for Amy that her parents aren't so in love the way she wants a relationship, like "wow, my parents are the opposite of in love when i grow up i want to be in a loving famliy"
so that carried over to Mina, my version of her mom for one reason or another she's for a lack of a better word is one of the those mom's who drink alot and is never truly sober. she is not the worlds most awful mom but she doesn't really take care of her kids and she ignores them a lot when they were little cause she didn't want to take care of them resulting in the kid's liking their dad more cause he was an awesome dad, Mina remembers her dad, she was a daddy's girl
KEYWORD: WAS
Mina's dad dies idk going to a location maybe work and gets in the middle of a hero fighting or something. leaving the kids with their mom, Mina's brother at the time is old enough to go to school and take care of both mom and Mina so hes the one doing everything. ima say he's like 16 when she's 5 he doesn't go to hero school he's just a cool dude
---warnings of me not having enough knowledge on a subject so i keep saying "i guess" or "i don't know" cause i don't know and this is just off the top of my head thoughts, if somebody could truly come up with a better reason im open to listen cause these are just not well put together thoughts ----
as for the Autopsy thing it sounds stupid but like ya know, gotta come up with a reason for stuff i guess im perfectly fine with having 0 explanation and just doing stuff but i'll give you my thoughts i had while trying to find a reason before i gave up.
Mina's mom is a alcoholic, she's gonna come home wasted, she's gonna come home barely able to process anything, in her drunken state she mistook Mina for a alien cause she's like a weirdo (no offense to people who do believe in aliens) who believes in aliens but it's not that far fetch when mutants can look like anything. and im under the assumption that she associates with weird people who also believe aliens are real, so she takes her daughter to them while she's drunk and tells them this is a real alien.
Mina is extremely confused
im unsure how the autopsy situation happens but it probably traumatizes Mina if they didn't knock her out with some strong meds, they cut her to look at her organs and was like "Yo man this is normal, nothing here is alien" my next thing is after they fix her up somebody probably uses a quirk to either make her forget this happen or something like this cause they don't want the police on them so it's like this never happened, but Mina has the scars but never ask questions about it
How this even happen and Mina lived, i don't know, how this even happened and her mom didn't go to jail? Maybe she did go to jail, cause theres this whole other idea i have where Mina gets put with her auntscause her brother for some reason or another can't keep her legally? idk and mom is probably in jail so she gets put with her aunts who dislike children like actually are bad people and mistreat her HOW SHES GOING TO UA LIKE THIS IDK but it's a blessing to her moving into the dorms
the bad part about this is Mina's mom's spiraling and she probably does have good memories with her mom it's just she has a really bad drinking problem and i feel like i can see Mina now, as a hero in training going to see her mom and asking her if she would like her to help her go clean and get her life back together, cause Mina doesn't hate her mom, she just dislikes her aunts cause they were created to be garbage that's why i didn't name them cause i dont care about them and im the one who made them exist lol
this is unfinished ideas, don't know why they are semi-morbid and strange it just b like that sometimes

Think it's time for a proper introduction of my XIV blorbo, thank you for the inspo @yagirlfinley
This is Chasing Tsunami, she/they. A hard to pin down woman, who claims to be a Bismarck-trained chef (she is), an airship pilot (she was), and an agent of many various organizations dedicated to the survival of the star.
In day-to-day life, however, she's a simpler person. An artificer by heart, specializing in manufacturing various gadgets and modular weapons platforms that she uses for combat and medical purposes alike. Her favored forms of combat rely on assembled weapons, switching between a gunbreaker and machinist as the need dictates.
Putting her skills to the test after a routine mission with one of her organizations led her to become infected with an extrastellar symbiote that seems to eat her aether and matter alike, rendering her less roegadyn by the day and more akin to a strange, barely-held-together mutant that even the most skilled chiurgeons struggle to diagnose. Reliant on homemade aethertech that is permanently plugged and cabled into her body, she tries to make the best of however long she has until she's unwound.
Rules of physics and story seem to become elastic when she fights... and she's defied death too many times to count at this point. There's a belief that she may be immortal, as the symbiote will not let her die. But that's more of a hypothesis, as she works on diagnosing what the hell attacked her and turned her to what she is now, a hulking dysphoric attempt at humanity.
Until then, you can find her in the Quicksands, doing her best to engage her social skills - and finding out that despite her struggle with autism, queer identity, and undiagnosed AuDHD, she's found a lot of found family within the walls. She jokes sometimes that she's a bit of an unofficial "mother bear" to any folks who are needing a reliable "lesbian aunt" figure. She has a massive weakness for Viera mascs and Roegadyn femmes, and as much as she tries to be slick or suave, it's as much a cover for a desperation for companionship as anything else. Bond with her, however, and you'll have an unflappably loyal companion.
Her aesthetics and keywords are cyberpunk, scrapyard, mutation, techwear, pride, neediness, adaptability, and stubborn happiness in the face of oblivion.
(art by @flashballad)
and yes, she's my basis for my Vtubing avatar. :)

Did Gwen or Noah interact at all with the Roti cast in Curl up like a Pill-bug or no?
Incidentally, would the Roti cast interact with the older cast? Would any participate in the Total Drama Gossip Chain?
... I guess im just curious about ur opinion on the Roti cast in general lol
neither of them have interacted with them explicitly in the story so far, (keywords so farrrr) but i think both of them definitely have in the past omg!
I like to imagine that after roti's end a lot of the old cast went out of their way to contact the newbies in an act of solidarity or at least shared experience! ie, i think harold and sam probably get along pretty well, and i like to think that gwen talks to zoey because their friendship was one of my favourite parts of all-stars omg)
and i think that that's definitely led to a lot of them being apart of the Total Drama Gossip Chain, specifically zoey, mike, brick and cameron (because i think they'd be pretty well-liked among the original cast :) )
ultimately i LOVE the roti cast, and the mutant maggots are one of my favourite total drama teams ever omg!! (zoeys one of my favourite characters in the show, along with brick and lightning lmao)
#curl up like a pill-bug#i LOVE answering asks omg thankyou anon ily#total drama#roti cast#alenoah#alenoah fic
