All the effort you're involved in is effort to be an ego, or to resist being an ego. Do you see what the problem is? It is your constant effort. You must become effortless. - Lester Levenson, Session 34: The Self (Your Self) - Keys to Ultimate Freedom

Note
hi ally, whenever lester said let go and let god does that mean for ego to trust awareness or awareness to trust itself?
Yes, you will come to realise that there is no Ego/person(a)/character to let go of since it isn't and still you are. You are that Self, Awareness/God.
The only real "thing" is I AM so "Let go of limitation and let God be". But when you are still attached to that idea "I am this" you might want to go with the first thing you mentioned.
*limitation = concept, idea, illusion

On anon but. I'm someone who has detransitioned. I just want to say that, I was on HRT for about a year. It changed my body in ways that I absolutely love. I have a deep voice, and sharper features, and I have new perspective on my identity and how it interacts with the world. Being trans is a journey. From when I was five up to when I was 17, I fullheartedly believed I was a boy. I was, in that moment. But now, I'm a girl, too. I feel better as a girl - prettier, comfortable. But when I was a boy, I felt good too - in that moment, I was handsome, and I felt so so strong. It's not as scary as it seems. People ebb and flow and change. You can be what you want to be, and if ultimately you want to go back? You can. Just don't discount your experience as a mistake. In the moment it felt right. In the present is what matters.. You'll reflect on it, and maybe you won't ever change. Maybe it'll be what sticks. And that's a lovely thing in and of itself. You will find the you that fits. You will become someone you love by letting yourself express. I promise. Holding back will just mute everything that makes you, you - don't feel like you need to medically transition, either. It was right for me, but research is key, in all things. You'll be beautiful no matter what. Your experiences will shape you - as long as you allow yourself the freedom of expression. I promise.
this is so beautiful. the word detransition does seem to have a negative connotation in certain spaces and im really happy to hear u sharing your positive experience.
its so important to stress that you can simply try it. and if it isnt for you, you can stop.

Thinking about writing a post about how one of the key things going on in Penacony is Sunday repeatedly trying to have a moral debate absolutely no one is equipped to, or willing to, engage with, since the astral express/firefly very pointedly don't get it and robin is ultimately like "it doesn't matter what the argument is because you're my brother and I love you and I don't want to lose you", which is why ultimately Sunday's tone is less "noooo my megalomaniacal dream!" and more like "fuck this. this is stupid and pointless. whatever." Not even turning into a nascent god-concept is enough to get people to take the suffering of others seriously, even heroes. Who cares?
But also it's sooooo funny because Sunday buddy guy pal you put the mind-whammy on the ONLY guy interested in debating you. I know you were really excited to get to the theater and do the puppet show and bird monologue but chief, knocking welt yang unconscious is NOT the move if your goal is to logic and reason people into what you believe to be an intuitively uncomfortable but morally sound position!
Sunday reaching the fruition of a decades-long totalitarian religious conspiracy which he is subverting to cold but humanitarian ends: What is the value of a status quo where the weak suffer and the strong rule? What freedom of choice do you have under life's constraints? Is darkness equal to daylight? Are sinners equal to the righteous? If you are born weak, which God should you turn to for solace?
The Trailblazer, really sincerely thinking about this as hard as they can, blood trickling out of one nostril: Dreams end sometimes 😡
Sunday: yeah actually just hit me with the fucking train. yeah I'll stand right here. thanks.

[ID: A twitter post by Lebbertoxd @InsaneLetterbox reading: “You have an Avatar-sized budget to adapt ONE (capitalized) video game into a movie. What game are you adapting?” End ID]
Tumblr media
yoinking this from twitter cause i want to hear yalls opinions!
#video games#okay so I’m going to automatically exclude ones that had reasonably faithful movie adaptations of some form#(Pokemon movies may be primarily Pokeani but it is still ultimately Pokemon; Ace Attorney;#Animal Crossing had an actually quite well-received animated film in the Wild World era)#(I’m going to be optimistic and say Sonic Adventure 2 is off-limits - though not necessarily any earlier Sonics)#(and I feel like at least ONE Mortal Kombat and/or Street Fighter movie was an ACCURATE adaptation of game lore if not a GOOD one)#All of those are out!#(also Pokemon has had faithful animated series adaptations in Origins which incidentally that’s another swathe I’d rule out)#I also wouldn’t want to adapt anything where I feel the INTERACTIVITY of games as a medium is a key point#for example: A Bioshock movie will never have the same impact for the Would You Kindly scene#because it’s about the player abruptly realizing no the game WAS calling all the shots for what you do#and because most of the cutscenes of the game you still have freedom of movement#with exceptions being your first splices your first Little Sister… and THAT. it hammers things home. can’t get that in a movie!#so like I’m excluding Undertale/Deltarune because you’d have to account for and change how the narrative works to get the same impact#and like that’d be an interesting challenge! but I leave that up to Toby Fox I am not up for it#Kingdom Hearts would require me to work with Disney. and to get into the really good stuff it’d have to be multiple movies so no#I love it but no. Not happening. So I think what I’d do would EITHER be:#Rune Factory 4 while completely ignoring the romance covering through arc two#if we go with either Lest or Frey we do what the game SHOULD have done and establish they’re bisexual#(the other option is nonbinary farmer using design choices from both obviously.)#or option two: Golden Sun/TLA which is permissible because they were meant as one game but it wouldn’t all fit on one GBA cartridge#we would probably be preserving the duology setup sure but ANYWAY. Stunning fantasy vistas! gorgeous effects!#Killer soundtrack! (I am spending SO MUCH MONEY that soundtrack is SO HARD TO PLAY ON REAL INSTRUMENTS)#and obviously our focus is on expanding the main characters’ characterization which was kind of thin as a whole.#but yeah actuslly the more I think about it the more I lean Golden Sun. Rune Factory would be best served in series format#whereas Golden Sun as an epic obscenely high-budget fantasy movie (or well. two of them.) makes a lot of sense#and I do mean OBSCENE we are talking LOTR prep time for the wigs and costumes we’re talking ELABORATE VERY EXPENSIVE SETS where possible#so the actors aren’t just green screening through it and also my inner child would be happy to walk around Vale#we are in short using EVERY CENT of that Avatar level budget. and maybe this convinces TPTB to finally resolve that damn cliffhanger#and FINALLY allow us to kick Alex’s ass PLEASE Nintendo please Camelot he deserves it SO MUCH

♡The Wolf Unbound - Chan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MINORS DNI 18+ONLY MEMBERSHIP//M.LIST
pairing: lycanthrope! Chan x afab! reader
summary: Deep in the heart of an ancient forest, the air was filled with an untamed nature. You come across a captured creature. If you set him free, he will be bound to you forever.
warnings: predator/prey dynamic, mentions of chains, sharp teeth, size difference, rough sex, breeding, knotting
You had grown up isolated from the world of men. Your parents, long gone, had left you with a deep bond to the wilderness and a life of solitude. One evening, as twilight cloaked the trees in shadows, you stumbled upon a hidden clearing. There, surrounded by heavy chains, lay a trapped lycanthrope—an imposing creature with eyes that burned with both primal fury and a plea for freedom. Your curiosity piqued, you faced the ultimate choice: to remain in your safe, familiar world or to delve into the mysteries of the beast that could forever change your life.
The massive lycanthrope snarled into his muzzle, his eyes glowing with a fierce, untamed energy and his muscles tensed as he pulled against his restraints, watching you with his piercing gaze as you approached him. You stepped cautiously, your hands trembling slightly as you made your way closer to the creature.
He watched you with a deadly stare, unsure of what you were going to do next. Your eyes locked with his and you could see the fear and your heart clenched.
“You poor creature.” You continued your path towards him.
The monster's eyes darted to a nearby tree. Hammered into it was a nail with a set of keys dangling from it. You quickly ran over to the keys and made haste to find the one that fit. The beast watched you intensely, his eyes never leaving your fingers as they searched through the different keys.
Finally, the correct key opened the lock to his muzzle. You watched it fall to the forest floor with a loud thud. The unhinged muzzle created a domino effect causing all of his chains to fall off his muscular body. He lets out a low growl as he slowly stands up, his massive form towering over you. With the muzzle removed, he bares his sharp teeth. He looks at you, gratitude shining in his eyes.
"Thank you..." His voice is deep.
You look up at him slowly, taking in his entire form. He had to be at least eight feet tall, although he didn't look like that when he was all chained up a moment ago.
“You're welcome. What happened?” Your voice was soft and immensely curious.
“Humans... Hunters... They caught me off guard... Tracked me for days..." His voice was gruff and angry. “I should have smelled their scent.”
The massive lycanthrope stalked towards you. His head was already tilting like a curious pup. He watches your face, his expression softening slightly. "You're not like them... You smell different... Like... nature and power. You didn't even hesitate to free me.”
You swallow hard as he speaks. You didn't expect him to talk. You had read books about creatures like this. Lycanthrope. Villagers feared them, poachers hunted them for sport. You never thought you would see one up close. Your heart was racing. The severity of your situation was sinking in fast and you weren't sure what to do next.
“Do you have a name?” You asked softly.
The creature stood rigid for a moment, like someone had not asked him that question in a very long time. Eventually, he simply said “Chan. That's my name.”
Chan. You repeated the name under your breath like speaking it into existence would change how your body was feeling.
“Are you going to eat me?” You blurted out loudly.
Chan leaned down, bringing his face close to yours. His breath was warm and slightly musky, a mix of wild and raw.
"You saved my life. Owing someone their life is a big deal among my kind... It's a debt that must be repaid..." His golden eyes held your gaze, unblinking.
You felt your blood instantly run hot through your veins. You couldn't understand what was happening to your body. You couldn't recognize this primal need that was growing. What is a spell? Some kind of curse? You couldn't stop the next words from coming out of your mouth.
“I…I want…” your needy eyes looked up at the beast towering over you, his broad chest heaving with every breath.
Chan breathed deep, as if he could smell the desire on you already. His nostrils flared as the scent of your arousal filled his senses. He knew exactly what you wanted, the heat radiating off of your core was so deliciously desperate. Chan let out a low, feral growl.
Chan moved towards you slowly at first, causing you to fall back onto the ground. His strong hands guide your legs to stay wrapped around his waist. He unbuckled his belt, unbuttoned his pants, letting his hard, throbbing member free. He looked at you, his golden eyes filled with primal desire. Your eyes grew wider with need and a hint of fear.
"So big..." You said in a whispered tone. "Is it this big in your...human form too?"
He chuckled darkly, his voice hoarse with desire.
"It's always this big, love. But when I'm a wolf... there's no gentle. I'll split you open, breed you like an animal. Now, hold on tight."
"Like an animal?" The words echoed in your head. You let out a soft, needy moan.
His grin was feral, his golden eyes glinting with untamed passion.
"Exactly like that. I'll pin you down, mount you, and breed you until you're full with my cubs. And you'll love every second of it, won't you, little mouse?"
You nod your head obediently. You didn't even recognize yourself anymore. All your inhibitions had fallen away the moment you had set him free.
His grin widens, his powerful arms wrapping around you as he rolls, pinning you beneath him on the bed.
"Then lift your knees, spread your thighs... show me where you want me.”
You let out a soft whimper as he instructs you. You hold your legs up and spread your cunt wide for him. With a slow, steady thrust that's nonetheless impossibly deep and powerful, he pushes into you until his hips meet yours and you can feel him pressing against your womb.
"You're so tight, little mouse... You're going to take all of me.”
Your body tenses at the initial contact and pressure. Your head falls back and your eyes flutter closed as your body melts into the feeling of his cock hot inside of you.
His arms bulge with muscle as he holds your thighs apart, his golden eyes locked onto yours as he begins to move. His powerful hips pull back, his thickness dragging against your inner walls, only to snap forward again, burying himself balls-deep inside you.
You let out desperate wails of need and pleasure as his massive lycanthrope form towers over you. His pace quickens, his powerful hips a blur as he pounds into you, his thick member swelling even larger inside you.
"You're so beautiful, stretched around me... I'm going to fill you up, little mouse... I'm going to knot you and breed you.”
Chan grunted into the crook of your neck. He was losing the human side of himself now. The only thing in his vision was the sight of you coming undone on the forest floor beneath him. His little woodland mouse that came to rescue him, not squelching around him.
His face contorted in pleasure, his jaw unhinging to reveal his sharp teeth. With a final, powerful thrust, he buries himself to the hilt and hisses, his body seizing as a thick, heated knot forms at the base of his member, locking you together.
You let out a strangled noise you had never heard yourself make before. Something between a moan and a howl. You grabbed onto his arms like a lifeline.
He begins to move within you slowly, his thick, hard flesh pulsing inside as his knot keeps you locked. He grins wickedly, his golden eyes filled with primal satisfaction.
"You're so helpless... so perfect... I'm going to fill you up so much... “
You groan softly, a satisfied smile spreading across your sweat-soaked face. Maybe it was a spell, or a curse. Maybe you would be bound to him now. His little mouse. The lycanthrope snarled as he licked your neck slowly, leaving a hot wet trail on your skin.
“All mine.”

𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮 + 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐮 - 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 ☪︎⋆
TikTok - Masterlist - YouTube (subliminals)
Rahu and Ketu in astrology symbolize the dual forces of desire and detachment, shaping our soul's journey through life. These lunar nodes reveal the areas where we seek growth, transformation, and spiritual understanding, as well as the lessons we must learn to release past attachments. Rahu represents our ambitions, cravings, and the pursuit of what is new and unfamiliar, often pushing us toward expansion and exploration. In contrast, Ketu embodies our past experiences, innate wisdom, and the need for spiritual liberation, encouraging us to let go of old patterns that no longer serve us. Understanding the dynamics of Rahu and Ketu offers valuable insights into our motivations, challenges, and the balance we must achieve between embracing the material world and nurturing our spiritual growth, ultimately guiding us toward a more authentic and fulfilling life path.
𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮 + 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐮
When Rahu is in Aries and Ketu is in Libra, your soul’s path revolves around embracing individuality, self-assertion, and courage while learning to release past-life attachments to relationships and diplomacy. Rahu in Aries thrusts you into situations where you must develop independence and take bold, pioneering actions. This placement amplifies a hunger for personal power and achievement, often making you feel like you need to stand out or be the first in everything you pursue. What people may not realize is that this drive is not just external—Rahu in Aries forces you to confront deep-rooted fears of failure, inadequacy, or being overlooked. This fear can push you toward impulsive decisions, as you feel an urgency to prove yourself. The key challenge here is learning how to channel this intense energy into constructive, purposeful action rather than reckless ambition.
One lesser-known aspect of Rahu in Aries is the lesson of self-reliance not just on a material level, but also emotionally and spiritually. You may be driven to be independent in the outer world, but internally, this placement is pushing you to trust yourself, rather than constantly seeking validation through external success or approval from others. Rahu's influence can create an illusion that satisfaction lies in achievements or recognition, but the deeper fulfillment comes from mastering your inner strength and cultivating patience. This placement also calls you to find a balance between healthy assertiveness and the tendency to overpower others—learning to be a leader without becoming overly aggressive or domineering is a subtle yet crucial lesson.
With Ketu in Libra, there’s a karmic history of relationships and partnerships. In previous lifetimes, you were likely deeply invested in social harmony and cooperation, often prioritizing others’ needs over your own. Now, Ketu in Libra creates a sense of emotional distance or detachment from relationships. You may feel that relationships aren't as fulfilling as they once were, or you might unconsciously avoid deep connections. This can lead to an internal conflict where you long for companionship but simultaneously feel that relationships are burdensome or spiritually irrelevant. What’s less commonly understood is that Ketu here brings a deep spiritual awareness of the impermanence of human connections, causing you to focus more on personal freedom. The lesson with Ketu in Libra is to harmonize independence with meaningful relationships—learning to engage with others without losing yourself and balancing personal growth with cooperation.

𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮 + 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐮
When Rahu is in Taurus and Ketu is in Scorpio, your soul's path emphasizes the quest for stability, material security, and sensory enjoyment while also confronting deeper emotional truths and the shadow aspects of your psyche. Rahu in Taurus propels you toward a strong desire for wealth and comfort, often leading you to seek appreciation through tangible achievements. However, this relentless pursuit of material success can mask an underlying fear of instability or loss. What many may not realize is that Rahu's influence can create a tendency to overindulge in physical pleasures or accumulate possessions, believing they will provide lasting happiness. The challenge is to recognize that true security stems not from external validation but from cultivating self-worth and inner peace.
Ketu in Scorpio presents a karmic journey deeply intertwined with emotional depth and transformation. In past lives, you may have experienced intense emotional bonds or power struggles, shaping your understanding of intimacy. With Ketu here, there’s often a sense of emotional detachment from these extremes, which can be misunderstood as a lack of passion. Many people may overlook that this placement fosters a unique spiritual awareness regarding the impermanence of desires and attachments. You might find that relationships feel less fulfilling, leading to an internal conflict where you yearn for connection yet simultaneously resist deeper engagement. Understanding this paradox can lead to profound insights about the nature of intimacy and the liberation found in releasing unhealthy attachments.
The interplay between Rahu in Taurus and Ketu in Scorpio encourages you to balance the material and spiritual realms. A lesser-known aspect of this dynamic is the idea that your pursuit of physical security can sometimes obstruct emotional growth. You are called to embrace life’s pleasures while also confronting the depths of your emotions, recognizing that true fulfillment comes from mastering your internal landscape. The key lesson is to navigate the fine line between enjoying tangible rewards and engaging in emotional transformation. By doing so, you not only enhance your material life but also cultivate a profound understanding of your soul’s journey, ultimately leading to holistic growth and harmony.

When Rahu is in Gemini and Ketu is in Sagittarius, your soul’s path revolves around embracing curiosity, communication, and intellectual exploration while releasing past-life attachments to dogmatic beliefs and rigid structures. Rahu in Gemini ignites a thirst for knowledge and a need to express yourself through diverse ideas and social interactions. This placement often drives you into various learning environments, making you adaptable and versatile. However, what many may not recognize is that this influence can lead to a scattered mind or superficial understanding of complex concepts, as the constant pursuit of new information can distract from deeper truths. The challenge lies in learning to focus your mental energy and filter out distractions, channeling your intellectual curiosity into meaningful pursuits that foster true wisdom.
Ketu in Sagittarius signifies a karmic journey centered on the quest for truth and spiritual understanding. In previous lifetimes, you may have held strong convictions or immersed yourself in philosophical pursuits, often prioritizing beliefs over experiences. With Ketu here, you might feel a sense of detachment from organized belief systems, leading to a questioning of traditional ideologies and a search for personal truths. A lesser-known aspect of this placement is the potential for existential introspection; you may find yourself grappling with profound questions about purpose and meaning. While this can foster spiritual growth, it may also lead to a sense of disconnection from the larger world or a feeling that established truths no longer resonate with you.
The dynamic between Rahu in Gemini and Ketu in Sagittarius invites you to harmonize your thirst for knowledge with a deeper understanding of life’s purpose. Many overlook that this interplay encourages you to engage with a variety of perspectives while remaining open to the wisdom of lived experiences. The key lesson here is to balance intellectual exploration with spiritual insights, learning to appreciate the nuances of both sides. By doing so, you not only enrich your mental landscape but also cultivate a more profound understanding of your soul’s journey, ultimately leading to personal growth and expanded consciousness.

Many may not realize that this placement can also lead to an over-dependence on emotional connections, sometimes at the expense of your own individuality. The challenge lies in learning to balance your need for security with self-reliance, recognizing that true emotional strength comes from within rather than from others.
Ketu in Capricorn indicates a karmic history centered around ambition, discipline, and societal expectations. In previous lifetimes, you may have prioritized career achievements and external success, potentially neglecting emotional needs or personal relationships. This placement often brings a sense of detachment from traditional paths to success, making you question the value of conventional goals. A lesser-known aspect of Ketu in Capricorn is the internal conflict that arises between the desire for personal achievement and the need for emotional authenticity. You might find yourself drawn to unconventional careers or creative expressions that allow for greater emotional depth, even if they defy societal norms.
The interplay between Rahu in Cancer and Ketu in Capricorn encourages you to find harmony between your emotional needs and your ambitions. Many overlook that this dynamic calls for a nurturing approach to your goals, emphasizing that personal fulfillment and professional success can coexist. The key lesson is to cultivate emotional resilience while simultaneously embracing your ambitions—learning to establish a solid foundation for your emotional well-being as you navigate the challenges of the outer world. By integrating these energies, you can create a balanced life that honors both your feelings and your aspirations, ultimately leading to holistic growth and fulfillment.

In previous lifetimes, you may have been deeply involved in communal activities or progressive movements, prioritizing the needs of the group over your own individual aspirations. This placement can create a sense of emotional distance from collective ideals, making you question the value of conformity and groupthink. A lesser-known aspect of Ketu in Aquarius is the potential for internal conflict between the desire for individuality and the need for social connection. You might find yourself feeling like an outsider in social settings, leading to a search for a unique identity that aligns with your true self.
The interplay between Rahu in Leo and Ketu in Aquarius invites you to harmonize your need for personal recognition with a deeper understanding of community and shared values. Many overlook that this dynamic encourages you to embrace your individuality while remaining connected to others, finding ways to lead and inspire without losing sight of the collective. The key lesson is to balance your desire for personal glory with the importance of collaboration and humanitarian ideals—learning to be a beacon of light that uplifts both yourself and those around you. Rahu in Virgo drives a strong desire for order, detail, and efficiency, compelling you to seek perfection in various aspects of life, especially in work and health. Many may not realize that this placement can lead to a tendency to overanalyze situations or become overly critical, both of yourself and others. The challenge lies in learning to balance your need for precision with acceptance of imperfection, recognizing that true growth often comes from embracing the messiness of life rather than trying to control every detail.

In past lives, you may have been immersed in spiritual practices or artistic pursuits, valuing intuition and emotional connections over tangible outcomes. This placement often brings a sense of detachment from emotional chaos or an overwhelming desire to escape from reality. A lesser-known aspect of Ketu in Pisces is the potential for spiritual fatigue; while you may possess profound insights and empathy, you might also feel drained by the emotional demands of others. This can create an internal conflict between your need for spiritual fulfillment and the desire for practical grounding.

Many overlook that this dynamic encourages you to engage with the world through service and tangible contributions while remaining open to the deeper emotional currents that drive your actions. Tumblr media
𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮 + 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐮

Rahu in Libra drives a strong desire for connection, collaboration, and mutual understanding, compelling you to seek out relationships that reflect beauty and balance. Trick Weekes on languages in Dragon Age:
"It's not a complete language or a cipher. We have an internal lexicon of words/ideas and some general rules for sounds we do and don't use, but a complete language/cipher would mean certain lines have only one real correct translation, which might be really hard for a voice actor to say. So because the elven/Qunlat/dwarven words are ultimately for a language no actual real-life person speaks, we have the freedom to tweak stuff so that (to do something clearly fake) if I want a phrase, and the clear translation is "syxilixis ixilsilius," I can simplify it to "syx ilius." Because the "real option" of "syxilixis ixilsilus" is really hard to say, and using it means I'm forcing a voice actor to not only do this tongue-twister of a phrase but sound SAD or ANGRY while they do it. If constructed language were a key part of the games (like the lovely Heaven's Vault, for example, which is ABOUT translating), this might be worth doing. But in Dragon Age, elven/Qunlat is there for flavor, so not worth making the devs and voice actors learn multiple full languages. I hope this helps, and sorry if I went on a big tangent. (I love making languages and have done so in my books, in addition to adding new words to the elven and Qunlat lexicons, so this is a part of the game I love, even if we don't go full-language with it.)"

"It was widely described as the week that India’s beleaguered democracy was pulled back from the brink. As the election results rolled in on Tuesday [June 4, 2024], all predictions and polls were defied as Narendra Modi lost his outright majority for the first time in a decade while the opposition re-emerged as a legitimate political force. On Sunday evening, Modi will be sworn in as prime minister yet many believe his power and mandate stands diminished.
For one opposition politician in particular, the humbling of the strongman prime minister was a moment to savour. Late last year, Mahua Moitra, one of the most outspoken critics of Modi and his Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), found herself unceremoniously expelled from parliament and kicked out of her bungalow, after what she described as a “political witch-hunt” for daring to stand up to Modi.
The murky and allegedly undemocratic circumstances of Moitra’s expulsion from parliament was seen by many to symbolise Modi’s approach to dissenting voices and the steady erosion of India’s democracy. She was among several vocal opposition politicians who were subjected to investigations by government crime agencies.
But having won a landslide re-election in her home state of West Bengal, Moitra will return once again to parliament, part of the newly empowered opposition coalition. “I can’t wait,” said Moitra. “They went to egregious lengths to discredit and destroy me and abused every process to do it. If I had gone down, it would have meant that brute force had triumphed over democracy.”
While he may be returning for a historic third term, many have portrayed the results as something of a defeat for Modi, who has had to rely on coalition partners to form a government. The BJP’s campaign had been solely centred around him – even the manifesto was titled “Modi’s guarantee” – and in many constituencies, local BJP candidates often played second fiddle to the prime minister, who loomed large over almost every seat. He told one interviewer he believed his mandate to rule was given directly by God.
“Modi’s aura was invincibility, that the BJP could not win elections without him,” said Moitra. “But the people of India didn’t give him a simple majority. They were voting against authoritarianism and they were voting against fascism. This was an overwhelming, resounding anti-Modi vote.”
During his past decade in power, Modi and the BJP enjoyed a powerful outright majority and oversaw an unprecedented concentration of power under the prime minister’s office, where key decisions were widely known to be made by a select few.
The Modi government was accused of imposing various authoritarian measures, including the harassment and arrest of critics under terrorism laws, while the country tumbled in global democracy and press freedom rankings. Modi never faced a press conference or any committee of accountability for the often divisive actions of his government. Politicians regularly complained that parliament was simply reduced to a rubber-stamping role for the BJP’s Hindu-first agenda.
Yet on Tuesday [June 40, it became clear that the more than 25 opposition parties, united as a coalition under the acronym INDIA, had inflicted substantial losses on the BJP to take away its simple majority. Analysts said the opposition’s performance was all the more remarkable given that the BJP stands accused of subverting and manipulating the election commission, as well as putting key opposition leaders behind bars and far outspending all other parties on its campaign. The BJP has denied any attempts to skew the election in its favour.
“This election proved that the voter is still the ultimate king,” said Moitra. “Modi was so shameless, yet despite them using every tool they had to engineer this election to their advantage, our democracy fought back.”
Moitra said she was confident it was “the end of Mr Modi’s autocratic way of ruling”. Several of the parties in the BJP’s alliance who he is relying on for a parliamentary majority and who will sit in Modi’s cabinet do not share his Hindu nationalist ideology...
Moitra was not alone in describing this week’s election as a reprieve for the troubling trajectory of India’s democracy. Columns heralding that the “mirror has cracked” and the “idea of India is reborn” were plastered across the country’s biggest newspapers, and editorials spoke of the end of “supremo syndrome”. “The bulldozer now has brakes,” wrote the Deccan Chronicle newspaper. “And once a bulldozer has brakes, it becomes just a lawnmower.” ...
“This was not a normal election, it was clearly an unfair and unlevel playing field,” said Yadav. “But still, there is now a hope and a possibility that the authoritarian element could be reversed.”
Harsh Mander, one of India’s most prominent human rights and peace activists who is facing numerous criminal investigations for his work, called the election the “most important in India’s post independence history”, adding: “The resilience of Indian democracy has proved to be spectacular.”
He said it was encouraging that an “intoxication of majoritarian hate politics” had not ultimately shaped the outcome, referring to Modi’s apparent attempts to stir up religious animosity on the campaign trail as he referred to Muslims as “infiltrators” and “those who have more children”.
“The past decade has seen the freedom of religion and the freedom of conscience and dissent taken away,” said Mander. “If this election had gone fully the BJP way, then India would not remain a constitutional secular democracy.”"

Why clear the subconscious to realise Self
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope this helps people who are struggling with trauma/deeply rooted wounds and are looking for a way to reconcile this with their goal of self-realisation 💕
Context:
The prime obstacle we meet in seeking this unlimited being is the subconscious mind. It is full of thoughts of limitations which propel us every day and they do so automatically. We have made these habits of subconscious thoughts so strong that even when we recognize the direction we would like to go in, the subconscious thoughts keep directing us for quite some time (sometimes lifetimes) until we finally succeed in overcoming them. We overcome them with thoughts of what we really want to do in life, and in that way we become master over the mind, controlling and eliminating the thoughts until only the thoughts we want determine our behavior. Then we’re in a position where we can do something about the mind. We can start to transcend the mind, rising above it and dropping it. In short we let it go! And when we do we find ourselves this pure, infinite, limitless, totally free Being that we naturally are. Then happiness is complete. from Session 9: Mastering Mind and Matter of Keys to the Ultimate Freedom - Lester Levenson
The following excerpt illustrates Lester Levenson's own journey to self-realisation: he actually cleared a chunk of his own subconscious thoughts first before going onto self-inquiry. This would have allowed for a much quieter mind than if he just dived into self-inquiry without it.
I began correcting all my thoughts and feelings in that direction from that of wanting to be loved, to that of loving. And in that process, I discovered another major thing that kind of shocked me. I saw that I wanted to change this entire world, and that was the cause of my ulcers — or one of the major causes. In realizing how much I wanted to change things in this world, I saw how it made me a slave of this world, I made the decision to reverse that. And in the process of following out these two directions — actually unloading all the sub-conscious concepts and pressures in those directions — I discovered I was getting happier, freer, lighter, and feeling better in general. As I saw this direction was good, I made the decision that if a slice of pie tasted this good, I wanted the whole pie. And I decided not to let go of this direction until I got that entire pie of happiness, and with it the answer to “What am I?  What is this life, and what is my relationship to it?” This decision allowed me, as I claim, to get the answer to life itself in a matter of only three months. I believe if I can do it, anyone can do it if they have that much “want to”. In that three month period, all the ailments I had in my physical body corrected. All my miseries dropped away. And I ended up in a place in which I was happy all the time, without sorrow. Not that the world stopped pushing against me —it continued — but I was at a place where I could resolve things almost immediately. Having cleared out the negative fears, all the negative “I can not’s,” I would focus right on the answer to every problem, and get it very quickly. And so, my whole life turned around from being depressed and sick, to being happy all the time, and being in perfect health all the time. from About the Author of another version of Keys to the Ultimate Freedom, also probably in his autobiography No Attachments, No Aversions
I'm not sure why some of the digital versions of Lester's Keys to The Ultimate Freedom didn't include this final session 37 because it's in a scanned copy of a 1993 version (1 year before he died). He had spoken on the importance of clearing subconscious thoughts first to quiet the mind but this was watered down in the 109 page digital version and even overlooked in Session 1 where he says it's "not necessary to dig up this unconscious mind, in fact it's much better to try to quiet the mind." (the wording was changed in other versions to highlight clearing subconscious thoughts first). Depending on the individual ego's own history of trauma, limiting/negative beliefs, tendencies, habits etc (aka samskaras in Hindu philosophy), they may or may not be able to easily quiet their mind to see their Self (the main goal) if they keep getting bombarded with thoughts they can't control despite their best efforts to disidentify/drop/ignore/meditate/control it.
I also believe this is the missing piece and answer to dealing with trauma in a practical and appropriate way on the path to self-realisation. Any good therapy also ultimately concludes with releasing & letting go so it no longer affects the person anymore; this is the true essence of healing. I've personally found a lot of benefit and peace from clearing subconscious thoughts on my own journey and Lester did this too and benefited a lot - he didn't jump straight to self-inquiry (Ramana Maharshi considered self-inquiry to be a practice for 'ripe souls' and recommended other methods for aspirants first depending on their state of mind (to clear and quiet their mind in preparation for self-inquiry)).
So we are all going through the same trip of trying to discover what is this all about, where is my happiness, and when we stop chasing after it out there and we turn inward, we discover that all these hard negative, terrible feelings are only a feeling. And that it is possible to get rid of these feelings by releasing them. All these feelings are subconscious programs — every bit of them put in as pro survival — it's not only fear, but survival. All our feelings have been programmed in to automatically keep us surviving. They keep looking out there, trying to survive, keeping our minds active subconsciously 24 hours a day, so never do we stop to think and discover what we are. So what is it that is keeping us from being in the most delectable state that there is? Simply the accumulated programs called feelings, all these negative feelings have us constantly struggling to survive, having us constantly looking away from this tremendous thing that we are, and all we need to do is quiet that mind and become self-obvious to ourselves of this tremendous being that we are. How do we do it? I say it’s simple. The Release Technique*. It happens to be the fastest, the most effective way there is to achieve this high state of being. When we are in total control of our universe, where every moment is a wonderful, wonderful moment, it is impossible to be unhappy. And I say that is our natural state when these negative feelings are released. So I urge you to learn this technique. It’s a tool, and in one week's time, there will be a big change in you for the better, and from there on, you will continue to get better and better, lighter and lighter, happier and happier. from Session 37: Release your Loving Nature - Keys to the Ultimate Freedom *The appendix describing this technique refers to a whole book called The Sedona Method (written by one of Lester's students) and it was too damn long & boring for me to read lol. (If you're interested in the book, you can download it from my Google Drive) The basic instructions is to bring subconscious thoughts to the conscious so they can be dropped: Feel all the thoughts/emotions (if any) and imagine them leaving your being, acknowledge them then consciously choose to release & let them go now so they no longer have a hold on you.
So clearing a chunk of subconscious thoughts first (not aiming for perfection, just clearing the major roadblocks - in particular the ones that keep causing intrusive/compulsive thoughts no matter how much you ignore them) will help a lot in quieting the mind and then you can more easily do the other practices such as meditate/do self-inquiry/self-surrender with a quiet mind to see & know the Infinite Being you are.
Remember that there is no "one size fits all" approach to self-realisation because everyone has different history, traumas, mental/emotional/spiritual maturity, temperament etc (this is a reminder to let your Self be your main guide & guru and do what's appropriate for your own journey, you don't have to follow any guidance/practices/teachings that don't resonate with you even if others are saying something is this way or that way). Even Ramana Maharshi acknowledged this:
When asked once by Swami Yogananda, a Swami with a large following in America, what spiritual instruction should be given to the people for their uplift, Ramana Maharshi replied: “It depends on the temperament and spiritual maturity of the individual. There can be no mass instruction.”
Obligatory disclaimer that this post does not constitute as medical advice as I am not a therapist, this is based on my own understanding of non-duality as well as my personal ego experiences both on this journey and prior to. If there are major traumas that you feel you need to release first in order to quiet the mind, I would actually recommend finding a competent and trustworthy professional to help you unless you already have experience going through therapy and know how to dig into your own subconscious and release things on your own properly (going to therapy in the past gave me the understanding and experience to do this on my own now). I emphasize on the *properly* part because if you attempt to bring up major traumas from the subconscious without knowing how to properly deal with them, it could actually cause more harm to the psyche so be careful on this please.
So I actually do think therapy and trauma healing has a place on this path to self-realisation and this is where my beliefs deviate from 4dbarbie a bit (I still agree with leaving the mind alone but again, clearing the major subconscious traumas/wounds/blockages first has been immensely beneficial and effective in quieting the mind to make it easier to let go of/disidentify from ego and abide as Self). Everything that I share on this blog are intended to be pointers, suggestions and helpful tips for people on the same journey. If you resonate with it, feel free to explore it further and if it doesn't, you can disregard it :)

The Real Incubus
Haarlep x F!Tav/Reader
⋆˙⟡♡ Summary: You help Haarlep in recalling their authentic identity and their original appearance, prior to their glamorized transformation to mimic Raphael's visage.
⋆˙⟡♡ Notes: Haarlep is my ultimate comfort and I’ve been kinda down lately. Was in need of some sort of comfort, thus for bringing this to life. I hope you enjoy xoxo
⋆˙⟡♡ NSFW | Soft Haarlep | A Touch Of Malevolent Haarlep | Comfort | Minor Angst | Biting | Minor Blood
Tumblr media
As you straddled Haarlep in bed, you could feel their tail curling around your arm and pulling you closer. You leaned in, placing one hand on their hip and the other in their hair as your lips met. They were soft and warm, and you felt the tip of their tongue flicking across your lower lip.
“Haarlep,” you whispered, your fingertips exploring their- Raphael’s horns… The ridges and textures that should have been Haarlep's own. Each groove, each pointed tip, had been an echo of Raphael's form, “Try to remember your horns,” your voice a soft melody in the quiet room, “Think of how they curved or stood straight, unique to you, a crown suited only for you.”
Haarlep's eyes fluttered closed, their breath hitching for the first time ever as they concentrated on your fingers, on the words that were like keys to locked doors within their mind. The weight of Raphael's influence starting to lift, bit by bit, with each gentle touch.
Your hands glide down the wings which weren’t of theirs, the expansive red membranes that had been made to mimic Raphael's own; a cruel reminder of Haarlep’s captivity. “The shape of your wings were surely more magnificent than his…” your fingers caressing the inner part of their wings, “Remember their true form, the majesty that was stolen from you.”
Slowly, Haarlep's wings began to embrace you, wrapping around your entwined forms. It was a possessive gesture, one that hinted at the true nature of their being, a sign of what was hidden under the mask Raphael had forced them to wear.
Your hands slide up the sides of their chest, tracing the outlines of the veins. The tips of your fingers brushing over their skin. Haarlep arched their back, pressing into your touch. It was the most “human” motion they had made in a long time, a reminder that they were more than what Raphael had made them out to be.
Your hands moved to Haarlep’s face to pull them closer. Holding their face tenderly, you kiss their jaw gently, a touch filled with reassurance and an invitation to rediscover themself, “Try to remember your face, the stubble, perhaps?” You breathed between kisses, “Or maybe clean-shaven,” you mused, nipping lightly to elicit a moan from them.
With one last nip at their jaw, you let your hands slide down the muscular expanse of Haarlep’s chest, the body that had been used and abused for so long, even starved... “Remember your body…” you coaxed, your voice a velvet murmur, “The way it would move on its own as soon as it saw a pretty new victim. You were grace and temptation incarnate, not a mere echo of another.”
There was a shift then, a subtle change in the air as Haarlep's form seemed to waver, the imposed visage of Raphael's glamorized design quivering. The incubus’s eyes closed, brows furrowing in concentration, as if they were diving into the depths of their own soul to find what was lost.
You held them close, a beacon of belief and support, waiting for the moment when Haarlep would emerge not as the devil Raphael had shaped, but as the true incubus they were born to be, a creature of beauty and desire, of power and freedom. And in the intimate cocoon of Haarlep’s wings, you waited to see your unconventional lover's true self to awaken.
The warm brush of Haarlep's lips against your neck sent a shiver down your spine, and their hands, which had been resting on your thighs, now found your waist. There was a soft, amused chuckle as their fingers brushed against the hem of your nightgown.
“The scent of your arousal,” they purred, their hands moving down the front of your body, “And the taste of it running down my throat,” Haarlep’s mouth was hot, almost feverish against your neck, “is all I can think about, little dove.” You could feel their hands moving between your legs, could feel the pressure of their palms against you and the way their claws tore through the fabric of your thin panties.
As the remnants of the cloth were tossed aside, you could hear the faint hiss of their breath against your skin as the incubus took in the scent of your desire. The sharp edge of their fangs grazed against your pulse, the sensation sending a bolt of white-hot lust down your spine.
Their tail moved from your arm and curled around your leg, you could feel the tip sliding along your thigh before coming to rest against your entrance. Your hips bucking instinctively at the feeling of Haarlep’s fingers circling your sensitive little clit.
Haarlep’s eyes remained closed, lashes casting delicate shadows on the incubus’s cheeks, as if they were navigating through the darkness of their own lost memories. The sensation was foreign to them, this gentle encouragement to be no one but themself, to shed the layers of someone else's whims and reveal the core of their being.
"I- I want you to touch me how Haarlep would touch me, not Raphael…" You kissed their horns, a symbolic gesture to honor their identity, to coax out the soul of the incubus beneath the surface. "To feel your hands upon my skin, instead of his."
At your words, their breath grew deeper, a rhythmic pulse that resonated with the stirrings of their authentic self. The very air around you seemed to hum with the power of their awakening, the room charged with the magic of rediscovery. Each bite, each mark, they placed upon your skin was like a word in a long-forgotten language, now being spoken with tentative fluence.
The shadow of Raphael that had clung to Haarlep's form began to dissipate like mist at dawn's first light. A subtle coolness radiated from them, an ominous glow that seemed to come from within, illuminating the room.
As Haarlep's fingers delved between your folds, their true self emerged, and you were completely enraptured by such beauty.
“You belong to me, my fragile, little dove,” their voice, dark yet smooth like whisky as they hissed into your ear, "Entirely mine to claim, mine to savor, mine to ravage and shatter."
When Haarlep finally opened their eyes, they were not the eyes that mirrored Raphael's. They were deep and vast, eyes that could easily entrap someone. In those eyes, you saw the incubus Haarlep was meant to be; free from the chains of servitude, a creature of beauty and lust.
“Haarlep,” your voice barely above a whisper, “I’m all yours, please-“ your body was so eager to have them, to be filled, to be taken and ravished, by Haarlep’s real self your mind was dizzy with it. This was Haarlep, this was your incubus in all their glory, and your eyes pleaded with them to feast upon you.
The incubus released a chilling chuckle, a cacophony akin to the tolling of a death knell, "Have you fantasized of my true caress, of the ecstasy and torment I could truly bestow upon you?" Their talons, sharp and unyielding, traced a menacing path along the quivering flesh of your inner thighs.
This was them, the real Haarlep whom no longer existed under Raphael's or Mephistopheles’s rule. You were no longer protected by the devil known as Raphael, Haarlep was free to do as they pleased, to devour you, body and soul, until nothing remained. Yet you remained loyal to the creature, and your faith in them was unwavering.
Your back arched and a small whimper left your throat, and you found yourself nodding impatiently, “Y-yes, I-I- wanted this for so long, Haarlep. Wanted this for you for so long for you.” Your fingers were still cupped around their face, thumbs brushing the incubus's cheekbones, a touch that was more loving and tender than anything you had given Raphael.
Haarlep's smile twisted into a predatory sneer as they shifted you beneath them, their dominance undeniable. They hoisted one of your legs over their shoulder, the other imprisoned against their waist, "Then it shall be my dark delight to bestow upon you the agony you crave, my little dove.” Their tail wrapped around their cock, “until you're drowning in the very darkness you sought.” A fat member with ridges and veins that protruded, a shaft that throbbed, a thick head leaking precum, a weapon that had the capability to destroy your very sanity.
You gave a needy groan, and then gasped as they thrust inside, their cock spreading you open, forcing its way past the tight resistance of your pussy. Stretching and filling you so well, you felt beyond full. Haarlep was ruthless, driving themself deeper and deeper until there was nowhere left for them to go, and still, you yearned for more.
You threw your head back and gasped, moaning and biting back screams- they were so much bigger than Raphael’s cock.
"Do you think yourself safe, little dove?" They taunted, their sharp teeth leaving stinging trails across the tender skin of your throat, "Even if you scream, even if you beg, there will be no mercy, no escape."
In a single brutal movement, Haarlep bottomed out and you couldn't hold back the scream that ripped from your throat. You couldn't think, couldn't breathe, your whole body was burning up, the delicious heat spreading from your core all the way down to the tips of your toes.
You were helpless, writhing and mewling as Haarlep plowed into you, each thrust tearing your mind apart. The incubus was merciless, and all you could do was cling to them, nails raking down their back and wings as they pounded into you.
“You wanted this, you desired this, didn't you? To be claimed, to be ravaged by a real incubus- by the real me… Here I am.”
You could feel Haarlep's fingers curling around the base of your neck, their claws digging into your skin, the threat of a slow and excruciating death clear. Yet, they held back, their grip not strong enough to kill you, just enough to give you a taste of what could happen.
“H-Haarlep~” you moaned, their name the only coherent thought in your head. You couldn't take it, the pleasure was too much, the sensation of being so full, of being fucked so hard by the one you always wished to have to yourself.
Haarlep laughed, a cold and cruel sound, the sound of a predator about to claim its prey, a sound of a nightmare that had finally been realized. Their lips pressed against yours, a sharp pain blossoming where their fangs nicked your bottom lip. The taste of your blood lingering on their tongue as they kissed you, the kiss as violent as their thrusts.
Their grip tightened around your throat, their claws cutting into your skin, drawing blood causing you to wince. “Tell me,” they demanded, their voice a low, husky growl- their wings spread wide, “tell me that you belong to me, that you're mine.”
Haarlep was losing control, the walls around their consciousness falling apart with every thrust… Until you wrapped your arms around their head and pulled them into you, “I-i’m yours, I'm yours~!! Only yours, my love~!!” You could feel your heart quicken at the realization of what you were about to confess, “I've always belonged to you and no one else. My heart, my body, my soul, are yours… I-“ You could feel your tears welling, “I love you, Haarlep- my dear incubus, my Haarlep.”
You couldn’t see the way Haarlep’s eyes widened, their lips parting as their name fell from yours- or how their face softened… But you could feel the way their grip loosened, their claws retracting as they embraced you while pressing their face against your shoulder.
They planted a gentle kiss upon your neck before their tongue swept across the wounds they inflicted, lapping away the traces of your blood. The hand once constricting your throat shifted to support the back of your head, softly angling it to the side to grant themselves a clearer path.
Your fingers ran through Haarlep’s hair, and your hips rocked against theirs. It was a sweet moment, a moment where you held each other close, and the world seemed to fade away. You knew Haarlep would never say the words back, but this right here, their embrace, their soft thrusts- that was all you needed.
In the aftermath, Haarlep was fast asleep on your chest, their breathing deep and even. You gently ran your fingers through their hair, smiling when you felt them stir and snuggle closer. You watched the way their wings spread across the bed, almost like a personal shield, a blanket that enveloped you both in warmth.
They were a vision of perfection, their skin flawless, and their horns shone like polished ebony. Haarlep was perfect, everything about them was perfect, and you felt a sudden surge of pride and happiness knowing that it was because of you that they had reclaimed their true self.
Your hands trailed over the softness of their wings, and you couldn't resist pressing a kiss against the tip of their horn, “So beautiful," you whispered, “So very, very beautiful.”
Nothing was left of Raphael on them, it was just them. Before death's cousin known as sleep could consume you- you swore to yourself that no matter what, you would protect Haarlep from the world, and from the devils who tried to shape them.
