Welcome back to the vague keyblade theory zone, i have ideas Mainly about the princesses of heart and what their keyblades might look like

Ok so keybaldes, of the types we know of we have Special Keyblades- The Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key D (the keyblades of the realm of light and dark respectively), The χ-blade (the keyblade of kingdom hearts), The Keyblade of Heart (the keyblade made of the princesses of heart's hearts), Ultima Weapon World Keyblades- keyblades that are manifestation of the heart of a world and generally look like that world Connection Keyblades- keyblades that are a representation of a connection between people (Sora's bond of flame or oathkeeper) Heart Keyblades- keyblades that represent the heart of the person summoning it, generally thought to be that persons 'default' keyblade (Ventus' wayward wind)

I think the princesses of heart are in some way very connected to the world they live in (don't get me started on princess of heart theorys i could go on) and as such a heart keyblade manifested from their heart would look like half heart keyblade and half world keyblade, my example is dun dun dun dun Kairi! my favorite little lore exception to theorize about

Destiny's Embrace, a fitting name for how she exists in the story, is her keyblade, and it looks like a mix of Radiant Garden and Destiny Island

the teeth and end looks like it could be a Radiant Garden keyblade, and the handle fades up to a sandy look and the hand itself literally fades into a transparent water effect, with the paopu keychain as well, its both her homes mashed together as a keyblade with a thread of gold tying them together, very much what you would expect from the Princess of Radiant Garden

But also the silhouette is familiar

(While this is it incomplete) it has the same heart cutout teeth section that the Keyblade of Heart has, so me thinks for potential design ideas (that i'm totally not thinking about shush, i would never) that the princesses of heart's keyblades would be a mix of their world, themselves and the silhouette of the Keyblade of Heart From my cursory glances the only keyblades that do have the heart cut out in the teeth are the kh1, 2 and 3 (and kind of dream drop but not really) versions of Ultima Weapon, which are all the versions that Sora wields and kind of Divewing which has half of a heart silhouette as the teeth, there are a few keyblades that have a heart there but not a cutout of it (ven's lost memories mostly, its an incomplete heart but still a heart)

I have no real point to this theorizing beyond thinking too damn hard about keyblades and their designs

kinda weird in hindsight that so much of kh3's plot hinged on how to restore all the hearts hiding in sora's when

a) kh1 already did that plot

b) did it better

and c) no one ever brought it up again that there's a keyblade whose apparent sole purpose is to open hearts and yank out whatever's inside

Lore! Kairi and Aqua

Kairi was sexually active starting in her sophomore year of high school, not with other people mind you, but from discovering pornography and masturbation. She turned eighteen in the summer between her junior and senior year, and began to explore the less vanilla side of her sexuality.

Aqua, having had a very sheltered life, knows more about sex and its various subjects than she would every admit to anyone (much to Eraqus' embarrassment and shame). In truth, she had even lost her virginity to a summoning spell gone wrong: a tentacle entity late one night in the wilds beyond the training area of her youth.

Wait, if Aqua and Kairi are roommates with Andi... Have they ever flown in a plane before? What were their thoughts about, or even interactions with TSA like?

"So I got placed on what they call a 'No Fly' list, which is a funny story actually."

"Funny story? Kairi, you summoned your keyblade midflight and demanded to get in the cockpit to see if it looked anything like the cockpit of a gummiship! They thought you were trying to hijack the plane!"

"I also wanted to see if the pilots got better inflight service than we did! Those cookies tasted stale and the pop was flat!"

So for no reason at all I'm thinking about this:

Sora was not chosen by a Keyblade Master to be a Keyblade wielder, but he becomes a Keyblade wielder before anyone else in the Destiny Trio (yes, I know, Riku's Keyblade--the Kingdom Key--had shown up on the Destiny Islands for Riku, but when Riku chose darkness over light, it opted to go with Sora instead: and there it would ultimately stay and Riku would get a different Keyblade later).

Riku was chosen by a Master to be a Keyblade wielder, and he's the third of the Destiny Trio to get his Keyblade, though still treated so much better than Kairi is, and truly gets to use his Keyblade before her (in having big adventures where he gets to use it, and whatnot): as I'm sure no one is really counting the three Heartless that Kairi killed with hers in KHII.

Kairi was accidentally chosen to be a wielder by a Keyblade Master (Aqua triggered the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony with her by accident, that is), and this actually happens before the scene where Terra chooses Riku. But it's an accidental thing, which definitely stings a bit. And Kairi is the second of the Destiny Trio to get her Keyblade... though in a lot of ways, you wouldn't guess that.

Edit: I'm wrong. Riku gets his Keyblade second, and Kairi gets hers third, as Riku has his Keyblade when he protects Kairi and Naminé from Saïx. I, and another user on her at what point, just got confused because of Riku (if you talk to him as Sora when you beat Luxord) mentioning how he doesn't think Sora needs the power of darkness or his Soul Eater yet, which almost sounds like he still has Soul Eater at the time, when he doesn't. What a weird line just overall. -shrugs-

Roxas & Naminé are Twins

While Naminé considers herself a Mutant Nobody of Kairi, it is CANONICAL that it was Sora doing THIS

"created" Roxas and Naminé.

Excluding the presence of Donald & Goofy, there are THIRTEEN HEARTS involved in this scene:

all seven hosts of the Primordial X-blade's Light, six within the Keyblade of Heart that Sora uses to "unlock" himself;

the Darkened Hearts within Said Keyblade's creator: Riku, as possessed by Terra (as possessed by Xehanort);

the Morally Dubious heart of Eraqus, hidden within Terra so as to settle its Decades Long Marriage Dispute with Xehanort;

the Hearts within Sora's: his own; Kairi's, the final host of the First X-blade's Light; & Ventus, recovering survivor from Xehanort's LAST attempt at forging a x-blade.

With so many Hearts involved in their creation, all of them Powerful in Light &/or Darkness, it is little wonder that the Twin Nobodies Roxas and Naminé are such Magical Powerhouses.

Roxas being able to Dual Wield Keyblades, regardless of how un/entangled he may be with the Hearts of Sora&Ventus or Xion at any given time, seemed to have a simple explanation: Roxas has 1 Keyblade for each Heart he "had", 1 from Sora & 1 from Ventus).

Except... Roxas had a Heart of his own the whole time.

"Roxas only has two hands" is a Valid Point, as is "the 2 Hearts were those of Ventus and Roxas, Sora's Heart was with his Heartless": neither point addresses Roxas retaining his ability to dual-wield keyblades in KH3.

It's Plausible that Roxas is currently capable of dual-wielding keyblades due to his Replica body hosting both the Roxas Heart yeeted from Sora AND at least 1 Data Roxas, as sourced from Data Twilight Town &/or The Garden Of Assemblage (the Secret Boss Room in KH2 which hosts Data copies of the Organization XIII members players defeat).

It seems more likely, however, that these Hearts would "merge" into 1 Roxas: the Hearts (& memories) developed by other Organization XIII members (excluding Xion & Xemnas) seem to have merged or otherwise integrated with those of their Others upon "recompletion".

The Heart (& memories) of Saïx & Axel were inherited by the "recompleted" Isa & Lea.

This seamless integration was likely due to there being no conflicting memories between their time as Nobodies and as [Recompleted Persons], all "parts" having accepted each other as being "one soul".

...something that would ALSO be true for the Roxas within Sora's Heart and any Data Copies of him added to their new Replica body.

So, unless we see Axel Dual-Wielding Keyblades in a future game, the "simple" explanations for why Roxas has that ability are most likely related to the context of his & Naminé's creation, born of sacrifice and all of the [Primordial X-Blade's Light] and [Whatever The Heck Riku Is].

The only other characters seen dual-wielding keyblades are Xion (who was siphoning memories & power from Sora, Riku Replica, & Roxas), Sora (with his Heart Hotel)... and Riku.

Riku, who casually forges new, unique keyblades at will. Riku, whose 1 Heart forged the currently & simultaneously-wielded keyblades of Sora (Kingdom Key), Kairi (Destiny's Embrace) &, potentially, King Mickey (Kingdom Key-D). Riku, whose reaction to his own (also distinct & simultaneously existent) keyblade breaking was "guess I'll summon a new one now" and then DOES THAT, when AQUA needed the miraculous connections she had with 3 other people (all of them in varying states of not-alive) to summon the keyblade BEQUEATHED to her (Master's Defender, the keyblade wielded in-life by Eraqus, and a keyblade inherited by pupils from Masters in a tradition begun by Ephemer after HIS receiving the keyblade from Brain).

Riku, who was used to forge the very Keyblade of Heart that created Roxas & Naminé im the first place!

(Riku is NOT NORMAL, okay? and this was true WELL before he casually became Sora's Dream Eater AND JUST AS CASUALLY CHANGED BACK: for humans, the transformation to "spirit" tends to be FINAL and ONE-WAY)

Other Assorted Oddities:

Sora gained a new body independently from Roxas (or Naminé, in KH1.

Ventus, the "third" Heart credited with the creation of Roxas, had his body VERY safely secured in Castle Oblivion by Aqua and seems utterly unaffected by either Nobody's creation & all subsequent shenanigans.

Kairi had been functioning as her own Nobody for almost the entirery of KH1: this again underscores how ??? Naminé's existence is.

with the exceptions of Goofy and Beast, ALL the characters at Hollow Bastion when Sora "unlocked" himself were probably capable of making Sora a "new" body (together if not individually, in the cases of the Disney Princesses & Kairi). it would have been somewhat out of character for Maleficent or Xehanort's Heartless but Riku is VERY WEIRD and he had some influence with both of them at that time: Riku may have summoned up a new body for Sora in the same way he summons new heart swords. It does, however, seem most likely that Sora's Magical Recompletion was a Joint Effort from the Princesses of Heart (as channeled by Kairi).

Kairi, as a Princess of Heart/Vessel of Light, cannot form a Heartless nor a Nobody: this is something brought up by multiple differently well-informed sources of worldbuilding lore. Naminé CANNOT be Kairi's Nobody: her being a Twin Nobody of Sora, alongside Roxas, makes much more sense even without the Additional Factors of Princess Hearts and Riku's role in turning Said Hearts into a Magic Key Sword that Sora stabbed himself with.

Vanitas???

i am belatedly realising that from a Certain (Very Crack) POV, the way i've described Roxas and Namimé's "birth" kind of mkes them fit the Criterium for being that "Child of Destiny" thing. since 2 of their "parents" (Riku & thus, through Gay Love, Sora) ARE said Child of Destiny. Naminé & Roxas as "Grandchildren of Destiny?"

Naminé's powers over Memory seem more in line with the (implied) capabilities of the Princesses of Heart working collectively than any of them individually: this may be a Plot Point, when the New Seven Lights are assembled, or have already played off in that First, "Doomed" Timeline of KH3's Keyblade War (thus Naminé's presence in the Final World & the weird "death" Kairi had in Timeline 2).

All of the above (crack included) are Additional Complications to the assumption that "Roxas is Sora's Nobody and Naminé is Kairi's".

While all four characters in that equation "agree" with this assumption does mean that it is "true": it does not at all, however, seem to be entire "Truth". ,

Kingdom Hearts: The Brightest of Hearts - Chapter 12: The Darkest of Hearts part 2

The group had just passed the Chapel and made it to the Entrance Hall, Cloud and Sid led the charge toward the entrance to get out of Hollow Bastion Castle. However soon the entrance was covered with vine that had both thorns and roses. A void then opened and Lauriam stepped out, he had a green Keyblade with a pink ring handle that had red spikes on it as details. The bit of the keyblade was a spiky looking rose and the green stem of the keyblade was decorated with little ruby roses. Leon, Cloud, Sid, and Aerith tried to stand and guard the group but their bodies glitched again forcing them all to the ground as they grew weaker.

"Don't worry I got this!"

"Donald, don't!" Donald activated his most powerful spell, the mass cure spell, allowing him to cure multiple people at once. However, like all other times the spell failed to hit the targets and instead healed all the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness surrounding them. Goofy and the Traverse Town group were especially annoyed about this.

"Ugh Donald!" They all yelled in annoyance.

"Sorry!" The Keyblade Wielders of Darkness started laughing at the group. However, Lauriam looked at the group and was especially shocked when he saw Kairi. He started to laugh as he stepped forward, to speak to her.

"So, the princess finally comes home, and yet she wants to leave so soon? Even after all these years you're still a coward, Kairi." Donald and Goofy went wide eyed as they turned to Kairi who looked both angry and confused.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh yes you do, you may have been so much younger then, but I know you remember. Like how you ran away like a coward when we invaded your world. Kinda like how you're running right now!" Soon the other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness showed up. Spiderman, Cloud, Sid, Yuffie, Jack Skellington, and Peter Pan tried to face them off but their bodies glitched again making them fall down in pain. Donald quickly raised his staff and Goofy his shield to defend Kairi who was now glaring at Lauriam in anger.

"... Shut up."

"All you did was cry when you lost your parents like the pathetic child you were. You didn't even bother trying to help them, how selfish."

"Shut up!"

"And then you hid on a boring island for your entire childhood all while your kingdom burned to the ground! Ladies and Gentlemen Kairi! The most cowardly princess of them all!"

"SHUT UP!" Kairi then ran past Donald and Goofy and even shook off Goofy's grip when he was trying to stop her. She was glaring at Lauriam with burning fury and tears in her eyes. Kairi didn't even remember or understand what Lauriam was saying but it all still felt familiar and thus made her angry. She ran up to him and grabbed his keyblade only for him to start laughing at her for how weak he thought she was.

"Haha! It seems even after all these years nothing has changed! You're still the same worthless brat that just stands and lets her friends die for her!"

"I SAID SHUT UP!" Kairi then managed to actually pull the Keyblade toward her, making Lauriam gasp in fear.

"Wha- What?!"

"I am not a coward! I will save Riku and Sora!" Soon Lauriam's Keyblade started cracking and from the cracks luminated a faint golden light.

"What?! St- Stop it!"

"I will get my home and parents back!" The cracks on Lauriam's Keyblade started spreading and the glow grew brighter.

"Stop it!"

"I will find out how I came to Destiny Island and who my grandmother is!" now the cracks were spread all around the Keyblade and Kairi's grip proved to be even stronger than Lauriam's, who was slowly losing his grip on his own Keyblade.

"STOP IT!"

"And if I really am a princess! If my Kingdom really is gone! THEN I JUST BUILD A NEW ONE, RIGHT AFTER I KICK YOUR SORRY BUTT!" They Keyblade then broke with the force from the resulting destruction pushing Kairi and Lauriam from one another. Kairi was dazed but quickly snapped out of it when she saw the fragments of the Keyblade turn into orbs of brilliant golden light. The lights floated all around her like friendly little fireflies, making her laugh with joy because of how beautiful they looked. Then the lights floated to her hand and slowly formed into a new Keyblade out of golden light. Once the shape was done taking form the light faded away to reveal the Keyblade as Destiny's Embrace. Kairi stood and looked at the Keyblade in awe, the rest of the group looked at it with amazement as well. All while the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness started backing away out of fear.

"Inconceivable! Extraordinary! Truly extraordinary!" Merlin was the first to give his praise to Kairi, all while Fairy Godmother walked up to Kairi and gently placed her hand on Kairi's shoulder to get her attention.

"Your grandmother would have been proud of you." Kairi wasn't sure who Fairy Godmother was but if she was with Sora like the rest of them then that was good enough for Kairi. Lauriam on the other hand was downright furious.

"You little witch! You destroyed my Keyblade! When I get my hands on you I will... oh? Hahaha, looks like I don't need a Keyblade, I'll just use your little friend to do my dirty work." Kairi looked at Lauriam in confusion as he smirked and pointed to the staircase. Kairi and everyone else looked and to their show they saw a Sora in his new Heartless form walking down the stairs and towards the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness. The Keyblade Wielders of Darkness started laughing and cheering as Sora walked closer to them all while Donald, Goofy, Kairi, Fairy Godmother, Merlin and the others looked at the Sora Heartless with sorrow. Sora the Champion of Light, a true friend, and the one who vowed to defeat the Dark Army became just another Heartless pawn in their schemes.

"Haha! About time this annoying brat became useful for once! Alright brat! Destroy the girl!" Lauriam was expecting the Sora Heartless to lunge at and attack Kairi. Instead, he just stood there and kept staring into nothing.

"Huh?"

"Why isn't it responding?" Ienzo then took off his hood, walked up to the Sora Heartless and slapped it across the head.

"Hey! Respond Heartless! Now!" Again, the Sora Heartless did nothing, leaving both Kairi, the group, and the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness in confusion. Ienzo just grunted in anger, slapped the Sora Heartless on the head again, and glared at Kairi.

"It doesn't matter, you're dead either way princess, just like your stupid grandmother-" Just before Ienzo was able to manifest his keyblade, the Sora Heartless stabbed its claws right through Ienzo's chest. Ienzo screamed in pain as the other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness started in wide eyed horror. This was the first time any of them saw a Heartless attack them for no reason, yet it was clearly happening. The Sora Heartless then threw Ienzo to the ground and started punching him with such incredible speed and force that Ienzo faded into darkness very quickly. The Sora Heartless then jumped at Lauriam who screamed with a high-pitched voice. The Sora Heartless then proceeded to punch him so hard and so quickly that Lauriam was unable to defend himself and was quickly destroyed into darkness.

The other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness quickly started to panic out of fear of being the Sora Heartless's next victim. Sora Heartless then jumped in the middle of the group of Keyblade Wielders of Darkness to choose his next victim. They all manifested their Keyblades and stood around him while remaining silent as they all waited for someone to make the first move. A foolish Keyblade Wielder of Darkness ran forward and tried to slash the Sora Heartless in the back, but it dodged with great speed and kicked him back into the crowd. Another one then tried to ambush him, but he scratched them in the face and followed up with a kick in the stomach.

The rest of the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness were trying to slash at the Sora Heartless, but all failed to get a single hit and instead got hit themselves. Finally, Dilan managed to kick the Heartless Sora in the back. Dilan then forced his way forward while pushing the other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness aside.

"Hey! Back up! Back up! This twerp is mine!" Dilan then manifested both the Earthshaker and the Rainfell Keyblade. The other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness backed off and stared in awe, Dilan was one of the only one's out of them all that could dual wield Keyblades. Dilan smirked to himself as he walked toward the Sora Heartless ready to slice him into oblivion. However, Kairi then seemingly jumped into the scene and slashed Dilan across the face. Dilan only grunted in pain as the slash on his cheek made his body glitch out only for a moment before healing, allowing him to get back to normal. Kairi on the other hand landed on her butt but quickly managed to get up and hold her Keyblade up.

"Thank you, Mr. Goofy!" Kairi tried to wave at Goofy, but she instead quickly ran out of the way when she saw Goofy flying in the air and only seconds from landing where she was at. After getting out of the way Goofy landed on his face in the ground, afterwards Donald landed on Goofy's back. Goofy quickly got up and raised his shield forcing Donald to fall off of him, Donald quacked back at Goofy in anger as he got his staff out. Kairi giggled at the sight but quickly raised her Keyblade again because of them still being surrounded by enemies. The Sora Heartless kept growling and twitching around as it glared at the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness. Kairi wasn't sure how much of Sora was left in the Sora Heartless, but she wanted to believe it was enough. She then reached out and took its hand, the Sora Heartless then stopped twitching and seemingly looked at Kairi with confusion.

"You don't have to fight alone, we're here with you." The Sora Heartless then looked at Goofy and Donald who looked back at him in confusion.

"Goo... Goofy... Do... nald..." Goofy and Donald looked at the Sora Heartless in shock. The both of them then started crying tears of joy.

"Gosh! That's our Sora, even in the darkest of times he's got our back!"

"And we got his! We'll fight to the end, Sora!" The Sora Heartless then turned to Kairi.

"Kai... Kai... Kairi..." Kairi then smiled and gently touched the Sora Heartless on the cheek.

"This time, let's fight together. Okay, Sora?" The Sora Heartless didn't respond but just faced the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness again with its claws out. Kairi was a little spooked by this but smiled as she figured that was his way of saying yes. Kairi then raised her Keyblade to fight, she wasn't a natural fighter like Sora or Riku, but she always watched them fight so she figured she knew enough. Meanwhile the group of off-worlder's was still watching everything.

"We have to help them!" Aladdin tried to get up and pull out his sword but his body glitched out again leaving him even weaker. Thankfully Merlin caught up to him and helped him stay up despite himself getting weaker as well.

"No, my boy. We must continue with our retreat! Sora's light gave us some time but not a lot. We must not take his gift in vain and use it to save ourselves and the princesses! Hurry now! Follow me!" Merlin then led everyone out, the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness saw this but chose to focus on the Sora Heartless, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy saw everyone running out, but they knew why so they continued to focus on the opponents in front of them.

Kairi then charged forward and slashed at the closest Keyblade Wielder of Darkness; however, he just plainly blocked the strike as if it was super easy for him. He then easily pushed her back and started laughing at her until the Sora Heartless lunged on him and started attacking him. Kairi got up from the ground, huffed in annoyance, and raised her Keyblade again.

Donald and Goofy then went to take on the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness to the left while Sora continued to attack them from the right; all while leaving Kairi in the middle. Kairi wasn't really sure what to do but it was suddenly decided for her when a Keyblade Wielders of Darkness approached her. He took off his hood to show himself as Isa and manifested his Keyblade. His Keyblade was colored silver with yellow lines and blue diamond details. The guard of the keyblade was a blood spiky ring with larger light blue spikes spread evenly out along the ring. Finally, the bit of the keyblade actually made up of another blue spike ring but was broken off to only a half ring with three light blue spikes sticking out kinda like a vicious axe blade.

"I was there when we destroyed you Kingdom little princess. I never got to meet your parents or your grandparents. But now I can make their spirits weep forever in despair, knowing their child will share the same fate as them." Kairi was getting frustrated at everyone mocking her family, it especially stung that she still didn't remember anything about her grandmother. Still, she was determined to make Isa pay for mocking her and her family. However, she already learned the hard way that she was not as experienced with a blade like Riku and Sora, she needed a new approach with the attack. Isa then raised his Keyblade to let it rest on his shoulder, Kairi noticed how slow he did it, implying his Keyblade was heavy. Kairi then smirked as she now had a plan, she then raised her Keyblade and stuck her tongue out at him.

Isa grunted at Kairi and raised his Keyblade as he walked toward her, Kairi then raised her Keyblade and ran towards Isa. Isa swung his Keyblade to slash Kairi in two, but thankfully she anticipated this and quickly slid down past Isa, as he quickly lost control from swinging his heavy Keyblade. Now behind Isa, Kairi slashed him in the back with her Keyblade causing him to yell in anguish. Kairi knew this wasn't enough, so she picked up a rock from the ground, threw it at another Keyblade Wielder of Darkness, and stuck her tongue out at them as they looked at her in confusion. They Keyblade Wielder of Darkness then grunted with anger and charged at her while she smirked mockingly at him. However, this proved to be his mistake as Kairi quickly ducked down, and Isa swung his Keyblade around which resulted in the Keyblade Wielder of Darkness getting slashed by Isa. Kairi then slashed Isa's arms making his body glitch from the overwhelming damage. Afterwards she started yelling with triumph as she slashed the injured Keyblade Wielder of Darkness until they faded into darkness.

Kairi couldn't believe it; she was a total amateur at sword fighting compared to Riku and Sora. Yet she still managed to take down two Keyblade Wielders of Darkness, one of which was a self-proclaimed veteran. However, as a large shadow loomed over Kairi, she looked up in horror to realize she didn't defeat Isa, he just badly hurt him and rightfully made him angry. Isa then raised his Keyblade to strike down Kairi, or at least he would have if Goofy didn't bash him with his shield. breaking Isa's arms and making him fall to the ground. Donald then showed up and cast a lighting spell, the resulting lighting finally finishing off Isa. Meanwhile the Sora Heartless finished off another Keyblade Wielder of Darkness, leaving only fourteen of them left. The weaker members started getting scared and ran off leaving Dilan by himself.

"Get back here you cowards!" They didn't listen, so now Dilan was alone to face the Sora Heartless, Donald, Goofy, and Kairi.

"Fine, as one of Master Xehano- ahem! I mean, Master Ansem's top students I will personally collect your hearts." The Sora Heartless then lunged at Dilan without warning but Dilan was able to slash him away with the Earthshaker Keyblade. He even used Wind magic to further push Sora until he hit the wall hard enough to leave large cracks on the wall.

"Sora!" Donald glared at Dilan in anger and rushed forward to shield bash him, but Dilan countered with his own strike with the Earthshaker Keyblade. The resulting impact made a bell-like sound on the shield, the recoil even made Goofy's arm hurt. Unfortunately, Dilan used the Rainfell Keyblade to slash Goofy away. Donald tried to help by casting an ice spell at Dilan, but he used the Rainfell Keyblade to block the spell. But that wasn't the end, the Rainfell Keyblade not only absorbed the spell but made it stronger allowing Dilan to blast it right back at Donald. Now Donald was trapped in an ice cube, leaving Kairi alone to fight against another Veteran Keyblade Wielder of Darkness.

Kairi backed away with fear in her eyes as Dilan smirked and used both Keyblades to shield himself making any frontal attack impossible. Kairi knew this too; however, she saw the Sora Heartless slowly getting up and recovering its strength. Dilan was unaware of this, leading to Kairi getting another idea and now as she was slowly backing away, she was turning to her left making Dilan turn his gaze farther and farther from the Sora Heartless. Kairi knew that just leading him away wasn't enough; she needed to keep his full attention and she knew the best way.

"You know, you may be big but you're not strong."

"I'm definingly strong little girl."

"Really? Cause I think I know how to take you."

"What?"

"You heard me, I know how to take you. Because you're simple, like a log!" Dilan grunted in anger and swung the Rainfell Keyblade at her, thankfully she raised her Keyblade over her head to guard from the attack. The recoil from the impact however was unexpected, Kairi couldn't even scream with the amount of pain she felt from it. However, it wasn't over, as Dilan then swung his Earthshaker Keyblade to her right. Thankfully Kairi was able to block that attack as well, but the recoil still hurt a lot. As Kairi's muscles screamed in pain, she started gritting her teeth in frustration. Without even realizing it her heart started glowing a golden light and she was getting stronger. She slashed the Earthshaker Keyblade away leaving Dilan shocked, confused, and staggered, he was actually off balance now and close to falling on his back.

Kairi took the advantage and slashed at Dilan several times; However, Dilan was stronger than she realized and was able to get his balance back and stabilize his body before it faded into darkness. Dilan then kicked her to the wall and held his Earthshaker Keyblade at her to keep her down.

"What was that you were saying little girl? About being able to take me down? Why don't you say it again? I dare you!"

"... wow, you really are simple like a log."

"What?!"

"I said I KNOW HOW to take you down. I never said it was me who was gonna do it." Dilan just looked at her confused, but his face quickly turned to fear when he felt something viciously scratching his back. The Sora Heartless then climbed on his back and started scratching at his head and face from behind. Dilan was screaming in panic and pain and once again he lost his balance only now, he was falling forward. However, he didn't finish falling because of Kairi stabbing him in the chest.

"But then again I guess I totally could do it." Dilan finally faded into darkness leaving Kairi and Sora alone. Kairi couldn't help but stand there for a moment, only for her to start jumping and giggling in joy because of her victory.

"Hahaha! Sora, we did it! We beat those stupid-" Kairi stopped smiling when she saw the state Sora was in, he was shaking his head and twitching erratically. Kairi was confused at first, but she soon realized that the curse was taking over, and Sora was losing himself. Kairi started crying at the idea of losing Sora again, so she ran over to him and hugged him as tightly as she could.

"You can fight this Sora! You can do anything you put your mind to!"

"Kai... Kairi...?"

"Yes, it's me, Kairi! I'm here and I'm not going to abandon you Sora!" "Kairi... Run..."

"What? No way you idiot! I'm not leaving you! I'll never leave you!"

"Kairi... I can't..."

"No! You can Sora! I believe in you, you can!" Kairi didn't know what else to say or do, she then looked at the Sora Heartless in the face as it started crying tears out of his yellow eyes. Kairi then did something she wanted to do for a while and kissed the Sora Heartless right where the mouth should be. Suddenly the Sora Heartless stopped twitching and was actually starting to calm down.

After a minute or so Goofy managed to recover and saw Kairi kissing the Sora Heartless. His jaw dropped to the floor, but he quickly shook his head, ran over to the ice cube Donald was in and bashed it until it broke. Donald was freed by Goofy, but he accidently hit Donald on the head with his shield.

"Hey! What's the big idea?!" Goofy then forcefully turned Donald toward what he was looking at, making Donald's jaw drop to the floor like Goofy did earlier. Soon, the Sora Heartless started shaking again but it didn't stop there its body was slowly being consumed by light. Kairi noticed this as well and backed away as the Sora Heartless started floating up in the air as its body was being covered entirely by light. Once there was nothing but light making up the body of the Sora Heartless it started glowing brighter and brighter. Finally, the light left the body like a sudden release of energy. Now all that was left was Sora who was slowly floating to the ground with orbs of light surrounding him as they slowly floated to the ceiling and faded away.

Sora was seemingly still asleep, but he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing Sora saw was Kairi covering her mouth and crying tears of joy. Sora then turned to his right to see Donald and Goofy hugging one another and both crying tears of joy. Sora then looked at his hands, he felt his face, took a deep breath, only then was he sure that he wasn't dreaming.

"I'm... I'm back?"

"YOUR BACK!" Kairi then ran up to Sora and hugged him while still crying out of overwhelming joy. Sora was still shocked by the fact that he was back from being cursed as a Heartless but now he was even more shocked that Kairi was in front of him safe and sound. Sora still needed to save Riku and to restore their home but for now, this was enough. Sora then hugged Kairi back and started crying as well due to missing her so much and the joy of finally having her in his arms. Donald and Goofy kept hugging and crying while now cheering out of overwhelming joy. Donald however quickly noticed that he was hugging Goofy of all people and quickly punched Goofy hard enough to make him let go of Donald and fall on the floor.

"Kairi, I finally found you."

"Haha, took you long enough, ya lazy bum."

"Ha, says the Island clown." Kairi and Sora continued to hug and laugh with one another. Goofy was still on the ground but was watching and shedding tears because of how adorable he thought Kairi and Sora were. Donald had his arms crossed trying to act tough, but the corner of his mouth was threatening to smile, and he shed a single tear that he quickly wiped away. Sora had missed Kairi so much that he wanted to hug her forever; However, he quickly realized that they were still in Hollow Bastion and so was Riku. Sora then let go of Kairi so that they could look at one another.

"Kairi! Where is Riku? We have to find him!"

"Uh... Well... Sora, Riku is-"

"Right here." Sora and Kairi looked back to the staircase to see Riku standing on the edge of the balcony smiling at them.

"Riku?"

"No, it's not Riku, it's... Someone else."

"You catch on quick my dear, smart. Just like your grandmother."

"Why does everyone keep talking about my grandmother?"

"Oh? You really don't remember but of course, you were only a child. This was your home. This is the Castle of Hollow Bastion; the Capital of Radiant Garden and you my dear were to be its princess." Kairi was shocked to hear this, she then looked at Sora and was even more surprised to see that he seemed to know everything.

"It's true. Merlin and Fairy Godmother knew her. She was a Keyblade Wielder of Light."

"Wait really?!"

"Yes, and there's more, so much more! If you wish to know. Come with me and I will show you the true nature of everything. The Light, the Darkness, your family lineage, and everything about Kingdom Hearts." Riku held out his hand expecting Kairi to come running up the stairs at the thought of all her desired questions being revealed. However, he was confused to see her looking at him with disappointment, like he was an idiot.

"Wow, you really aren't Riku, because if you were then you wouldn't be this stupid." Sora, Donald, and Goofy then started laughing at Riku while Kairi kept smirking at him with pride. Riku glared at Kairi as he clenched his fists in anger.

"You should know that is not how little girls behave."

"You should know I'd rather eat dirt than take ladies etiquette advice from you." Riku then seemingly disappeared only to reappear in front of Kairi.

"If you won't join me willingly then I'll just take your heart and-" Sora shot Riku with a fireball in the face making him back away from Kairi.

"Stay away from her and give back Riku!" Riku wiped the ash on his face and smiled at Sora. He then held out his hand and Riku's Keyblade of Darkness manifested.

"Finally, I dreamt of this since I was a little boy, the final battle between light and darkness, the day when the two would battle and decide the fate of Kingdom Hearts once and for all! Now we can-"

"You talk too much!" Sora then manifested his Pumpkinhead Keyblade and shot several jack-o-lantern missiles at Riku. The resulting explosion was massive but once the dust cleared it was revealed that Riku was protecting himself with a dark forcefield. Riku smirked at the forcefield reformed into several spears of darkness and shot at Sora, only for Sora to yawn out of boredom, manifest his Three Wishes Keyblade, and slash at all the dark spears deflecting the damage back toward Riku.

"Are you guys ever going to not fall for that?" Kairi, Donald, and Goofy then started laughing, what was originally thought to be a major threat ended up being an extremely easy trial. Whoever was possessing Riku wasn't really presenting themselves as a much of a threat. However now Riky was growling with anger and once again he seemingly vanished leaving Sora confused. In the next second Sora felt like he was slashed at his legs, back, and neck making him fall to the ground in pain. All while Riku reappeared right in front of him. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy saw this and tried to run over to help but Riku seemingly glitched in place as if he moved so fast you could barely notice. In the next second Kairi, Donald, and Goofy were pushed back and flew in the air only to fall hard on their backs a good distance away.

"I'll deal with the rest of you later." Riku then focused back on Sora who was getting back up. Riku walked back towards him, manifested his Keyblade and swung it downward onto Sora. Sora only barely managed to block the strike but in doing so he felt the full force of the impact. Sora grunted from the pain of the impact as it sent shockwaves through his muscles. He then glared at Riku with frustration, whoever was possessing him was just as strong as Doxcrum if not stronger. Sora tried to make him back off by using his hand to cast a fire spell at Riku in the stomach. The fireball did blast Riku back a good enough distance but against Riku just smiled as he simply dusted off the ashes.

"How cute that you're still only using single core spells like a novice, the age of magic really has gone downhill. The same could unfortunately be said for my soldiers, but thanks to you I now have the opportunity to get more. Hopefully with time to train them all properly." Sora charged at Ansem while he was talking but after slashing at him Riku managed to block the strike without even fully focusing on Sora.

"Perhaps that's what I'll do when I obtain Kingdom Hearts, make it so that everyone can have access to magic and live in my very own kingdom. I'll become a god of great mercy and holder of unlimited joy!" Again, and again Sora kept trying to strike Riku but each time the strike was blocked with perfect accuracy. Even when Sora tried to strike Riku in the back, he used his own Keyblade to block Sora's attacks without even looking at him. Riku then used his Keyblade to push Sora back leaving Sora to fall on his knees out of exhaustion.

"Argh... A god who built a kingdom on cursed hearts and ruined lives!"

"No one will ever know, that's the beauty of starting over, you get to start with a clean slate. After everything before has been destroyed!" Sora grunted in annoyance as he pointed his Keyblade at Riku casting the triple core spell with fire, ice, and lighting. After firing Riku's mouth suddenly enlarged and devoured the spell to Sora's fear and shock. Riku then smirked again at Sora, pointed his Keyblade at Sora, and cast a septuple core spell. Sora couldn't help but stare in both awe and fear as the spell contained a Lightning spell, Fire spell, Ice spell, Earth spell, Water spell, Plant spell, and a Wind spell. Sora manifested his Three Wishes Keyblade hoping that would be enough to reflect the magic spell. However once Riku cast the spell, each of the magic cores flew around preventing Sora from focusing on a single one. Sora was then hit with a strike of lighting, was burnt, was frozen, hit by small rocks, soaked in water, wrapped in vines, and finally pushed by the wind.

Sora was practically thrown a good distance away from Riku and fell hard onto the ground. Sora managed to get up but slowly due to him still feeling great pain from the massive combo of elemental magic. Despite clearly being outmatched Sora was determined to keep fighting no matter what. Sora just got Kairi back and now all he needed was to free Riku who was right in front of him. Suddenly Sora's Keyblade turned back into the Kingdom Keyblade and glowed with golden light. The golden light flowed into Sora's heart and suddenly he felt so much better, and all his bruises and wounds were healed. Riku just glared at Sora with disappointment while Sora just gave a smug smile.

"Who are you and why are you possessing Riku?"

"Hahahahaha! You've come so far, yet you still know so little. You truly are unworthy of being the Champion of Light!" Riku was clearly trying to mock Sora, but Sora just stared at him with a bored expression.

"Let me guess, your name is Ansem." Ansem Riku then looked at Sora in shock, as he was not expecting Sora to figure it out that quickly. Donald and Goofy looked at each other, both of them were especially shocked because of the Ansem Reports. Meanwhile Kairi was just confused as that name meant absolutely nothing to her.

"I'm not as stupid as I look. I've been around several places and heard a thing or two."

"Hm, yes. I am Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and it seems I underestimated you. You-" Sora suddenly charged at Ansem Riku seemingly faster and stronger than before. Sora slashed his Keyblade at Ansem Riku and yet again it was blocked; however, this time Ansem Riku was the one struggling.

"Yeah, you did." Sora then pushed Ansem Riku back making him stagger. Both Ansem Riku and Sora were both shocked by Sora's sudden boost of power.

"Cool!" Sora then looked down and saw his heart glowing in golden light; he then looked at his Kingdom Keyblade and saw how it was glowing as well.

"You know what, I think I am worthy of being the Champion of Light." Ansem Riku started growling at Sora.

"Pride will get you nowhere child!" Ansem Riku then ran toward Sora with his Keyblade.

"Speak for yourself, you rotten Jerk!" Sora managed to block the strike and tried to counter with his own strike. Sora and Riku clashed their Keyblade at one another again and again, now their strength was more evenly matched. Sora should have been annoyed that he couldn't land a single strike on Ansem Riku, but he was actually glad because now he could tell that Ansem Riku was actually weaker than Doxcrum meaning it was possible to beat him.

Kairi finally woke up and saw that Ansem Riku and Sora were still fighting due to a stalemate. Kairi wanted to help but she knew that if she jumped in the fight, she might just make things worse. Instead, she got an idea that would not only give Sora the advantage he needed but could also reach the real Riku.

"Hey Riku! I kissed Sora!" Suddenly Ansem Riku looked at Kairi and the glow in his eyes faded as if he was back to being normal Riku.

"Wha- What?!" Sora took the chance of Riku being distracted and slashed his Keyblade and afterwards punched Riku in the face. Riku was finally on the ground unconscious with a destroyed keyblade. Sora sighed in relief now that the battle was finally over. Kairi then ran up to Sora and hugged him to which Sora hugged her back.

"Haha! You did it Sora!"

"Yeah, and it was thanks to... your... distraction..." Sora then let go of Kairi while blushing, leaving Kairi confused.

"What?"

"Kairi, when did you kiss me? Also why did you say that specifically to distract Riku?" Kairi then blushed in embarrassment realizing she said something she really shouldn't have said.

"Uh... well..." However, before Kairi could say anything, Riku's body was swallowed by the Darkness. Kairi and Sora backed away, horrified by the sight only to be shocked when they saw Ansem in his true form rising from the darkness. Once Ansem, Seeker of Darkness was fully revealed the shadow smoke flew away Riku nowhere in sight. Donald and Goofy quickly ran to be by Sora and Kairi to help, though they weren't sure if they even could.

"Foolish Children, you have done so much yet so little. Now your time is up and I shall obtain Kingdom Hearts!" Ansem manifested two large orbs of pure darkness in both his hands. At the same time a Void opened behind Ansem and Doxcrum stepped out with several other Keyblade Wielders of Darkness.

"Sorry to say Lads. But th' gateway is already open 'n' kingdom hearts is as good as ours."

"To come so far yet to achieve nothing, you were NEVER worthy of the title as Champion of Light!" Ansem floated in the air ready to strike Sora, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy with his darkness but instead he just froze in place. Doxcrum and the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness stared at Ansem in confusion until he suddenly blasted them with his darkness. Doxcrum backed up in confusion as the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness were flung to the walls and ground, left groaning in pain. Ansem then fell to the ground as well, leaving Sora, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy relieved but confused.

Suddenly a light manifested in front of the down Ansem, and it took the form of Riku. Riku appeared to be struggling as he was holding something back. Meanwhile Ansem was struggling to get back up, but an invisible force was holding him down. Riku, while still struggling, looked at Riku and Kairi and smiled at the both of them.

"Riku?"

"Riku!" Sora tried to run to Riku to grab him but Goofy held him back.

"Don't come closer... Sora... go now... I can't hold him... back, forever..."

"Riku..." Sora wanted so desperately to help Riku but it was clear that in order to do that he needed to defeat Ansem and he wasn't ready. Goofy continued to hold Sora back as Ansem slowly got up and so did the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness.

"Sora, come on! We have to go!" Sora grunted in frustration and turned away from Riku as he shed a tear, but then, Kairi grabbed his hand and he saw how she was crying as well.

"We're not abandoning him Sora! We'll come back and we'll get him back! You hear us Riku! We're coming back for you, you dumb muscle head!" Sora and Kairi then turned back to Riku as he looked at them in shock. He then started laughing as he still struggled to hold Ansem back.

"Don't keep me waiting too long you annoying pest!" Riku, Kairi, and Sora then laughed together despite the sadness in their hearts. Sora, Kairi, Goofy, and Donald finally left Hollow Bastion. Once they were gone, so was Riku, Doxcrum stomped out the dark fire and ran to where Sora, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy once were, his fists clenched in anger.

"Those glaikit brats! After them!"

"No!" Doxcrum froze as Ansem got up now that Riku was completely consumed by the Darkness.

"We now have the gateway; we no longer need to worry about the Champion of Light. We must now hurry to the Abyss World and use its energy to create the Seven Fragments of Darkness."

"Are ye glaikit!? Wi' that besom still out there, we could lose everything! I'm taking a squad 'n' we're aff to Travese Town now!" Ansem then raised his hand and manifested another orb of darkness. Doxcrum then walked up to Ansem and grabbed his wrist slowly crushing it; meanwhile, Ansem started shocking Doxcrum with dark energy. The Keyblade Wielders of Darkness stood around the two of them in horror. When the Lords of Darkness got angry it always meant something was going to be destroyed, so if these two got angry, especially at each other, that meant something even worse could happen. However, Doxcrum turned his head as if he heard someone talking to him, he grunted in anger and let go of Ansem.

Ansem raised an eyebrow at Doxcrum but then scoffed at him as he walked away with a smile on his face. Doxcrum just stood there while the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness stared at him wearily and one by one followed Ansem to the gateway. Doxcrum continued to stand there while clenching his fists in anger, then a hand, made of shadows, gently placed itself on his shoulder. Doxcrum then turned around to see the shadow standing there with its signature four goat horns and crimson eyes.

Be patient Doxcrum, let the fool play Master a little while longer. We will have our revenge soon enough. The Shadow then faded away, leaving Doxcrum alone in the room. Doxcrum just sighed in annoyance while looking back to where the shadow once was.

"... whatever you say, Xaler."

With pure luck, by the time Sora, Kairi, Goofy, and Donald got out of the Castle, Chip and Dale made it back to Hollow Bastion after getting everyone else and the princesses out. Without wasting any time Sora, Kairi, Goofy, and Donald got onto the ship and Chip and Dale quickly got them all back into Traverse Town. Thankfully like all other times they were able to get back to Traverse Town in mere seconds. Surprisingly when they got there all the other off worlder's and princesses were there as well. Chip and Dale stepped out of the Gummi Ship to see everyone safe and sound. Sora, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy however looked at the two of them in confusion. Chip was the first to notice them all staring.

"What? We had to get everyone out, but we couldn't waste time getting each and every one of them back into their original worlds. we had to stop somewhere first to let their bodies stabilize after the magic nearly tore them apart."

"Don't worry fellas, we'll get them all back to their worlds eventually but for now they'll be safe in Traverse Town." Peter Pan then noticed Sora and the others and smiled with excitement.

"Hey! It's Sora! He's back!" Everyone then turned toward Sora and started cheering and/ or crying out of joy. They then started surrounding Sora and taking turns hugging him and showing their Relief to know he was ok. Jack Skellington even picked Sora up and placed him on his shoulders so that everyone could see him.

"Three Cheers for the Champion of Light!" Everyone cheered for Sora while he smiled with joy but also blushed with embarrassment. Kairi couldn't help but watch with joy, she had no idea why everyone was praising Sora so much. However, she knew Sora and how brave, determined, and kind he was so she felt like whatever the reason, it had to be a good one. Kairi ended up being so focused on Sora that she didn't notice Alice until they bumped into each other.

"Oh! I'm sorry!"

"Yeah, I'm sorry too. Oh, you're one of the princesses."

"Princess? Why, I'm not so sure about that, but I do like the idea. Anyways my name is Alice." Alice then bowed to Kairi leaving Kairi flustered in embarrassment.

"Uh, hello Alice, I'm Kairi." Alice then looked at Kairi in shock.

"Kairi? As in the one that Sora has been searching for?"

"You know me?"

"Yes, Sora talked about you when he left my world, and said I would get the chance to meet you one day." Alice then backed up a step to take a better look at Kairi.

"... I thought you'd be taller." Alice then huffed as the turned the other way and walked away from Kairi leaving her confused. Kairi kinda figured why Alice seemed to be a little rude to her but she brushed it off. Instead, she focused back on everyone else who were still interacting with one another and talking about their adventures with Sora and their recent victory against the Dark Army. Spiderman and Tarzan were talking.

"So, you were raised by apes and now you can talk to them? Weird."

"You bitten by spider, you turn into spiderman, that also weird."

"Ha! No argument there." There was Jack Skellington talking to Peter Pan as he was floating around.

"So, you're a skeleton but you're also the pumpkin king?"

"I am Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King and guardian of Halloween. Nothing more but most certainly nothing less."

"... Cool!" There was also the strangest conversation between Cloud and Ariel.

"So when you and Sora met you fought each other?"

"Yeah, I was kinda bound under a contract by an evil Lord of Darkness who fancied himself as a God."

"Oh really? I was actually bound under a contract by a Lord of Darkness as well! She was a Sea Witch named Ursula, but Sora helped me get out of it!"

"You're kidding? Well, I guess you could say that he helped me out of my contract as well."

"Haha, that sounds about right, Sora is so full of goodness! We were just strangers when we met, but he was still willing to help me find the love of my life and helped me start talking to my daddy again."

"Heh, yeah, that kid has a way of shining like light, even in the darkest of places." Lastly there was Yuffie who was talking to Cinderella and Aurora.

"So! How does it feel to be Princesses of Heart?" Cinderella and Aurora looked at each other in confusion and then back to Yuffie with even more confusion. Leon sighed and walked up to Yuffie to explain to her.

"Yuffie, they don't know what any of that means."

"Yeah I got that, buzz off Leon." Leon then grunted and walked away.

"Ahem, sorry about that girl's, let's not listen to me talk all day, what questions do you both have?"

"... Why are you dressed like that?"

"What?"

"Oh, we don't mean to be rude! It's just... you're the first lady we've seen who isn't... wearing a dress."

"Well that's because I'm a ninja, I guess you two could think of it as a knight who relies on stealth and speed."

"A female knight, I've never heard of such a thing. Do you enjoy being a ninja?"

"Well, you know what they say, you perform the best at doing what you love, and not to brag, but I'm a pretty good Ninja. The best Traverse Town in fact!"

"You're the only Ninja in Traverse Town!"

"Shut up Leon!" Aurora and Cinderella giggled while Yuffie continued to glare at Leon who was smirking, feeling proud of himself. Finally, Sora and Kairi managed to reunite amongst all the others talking about different things.

"You ok Kairi?"

"A little jealous actually."

"What do you mean?"

"It's just, hearing all these people talk about what you did for them and how you saved each of their worlds. It's so cool, I only wish I could have been there with you."

"He did too actually!" Ariel then showed up beside Sora's right while talking to Kairi.

"He loved talking about you even though it left him embarrassed sometimes. Though I think I know why." Sora started turning red while Kairi couldn't help but smile and blush in embarrassment but also joy.

"Re- Really?"

"Yes, it's true." Tarzan then showed up and stood by Sora's left.

"Me and Sora studied world together. Learned many things. But what motivated me was knowledge. What motivated Sora was you. Sora wanted to learn everything to tell his friends. when not studying, you all he ever talked about. Wanted to show you and Riku everything." Sora then started scratching the back of his head while Kairi and some others listening in started giggling at the sight of an embarrassed Sora. However, despite the laughter and joy still going Aladdin and Jasmine broke into the conversation.

"Wait! Speaking of Riku... please, don't abandon him!" Aladdin was quick to protest after hearing Jasmin say this.

"Jasmin! He's the reason you got kidnapped in the first place!"

"I know that, but I also know that he was just a child who was tricked into thinking he had no other options! When he was pretending to be my servant, he was kind and loyal, not as a servant but as a friend! I know he's done bad things, but I know there's still good in him. So please, don't forget to rescue him too, just like how you rescued the rest of us." Sora then looked at Kairi seemingly confused at first but he then quickly smiled and raised his Keyblade high in the air.

"Riku may be a jerk and kinda dumb but he's still my friend at the end of the day! Sure, he let those rotten Dark Army jerks take over his mind and body but that just means I need to stop them first! After I save Riku, I'll save the Multiverse from the Darkness for good!" Kairi then manifested her Destiny's Embrace Keyblade and raised it high while standing alongside Sora.

"And we'll do it together!" Everyone surrounding them started cheering, Sora however stood back in shock at the sight of Kairi's Keyblade.

"Kairi?! When did you get a Keyblade?"

"Oh, I got this one after taking it from taking a Keyblade from one of those Dark Army jerks and destroying it. I still don't know how I did it but I got this one in return, it's so cool and pretty looking right?" Sora couldn't help but look at the Keyblade in awe then he looked at Kairi in awe while she looked at her own Keyblade with a proud smile. Kairi quickly noticed Sora staring at her in awe and started blushing with embarrassment. Kairi then noticed that Yuffie, Aerith, Spiderman, Ariel, Jasmin, Leon, and Cloud were all smiling at her which made her pout at them in annoyance. Suddenly everyone's attention turned to Fairy Godmother as she tapped her wand onto a lamp post to make noise.

"Alright everyone we all had a big day and it's time for you all to return home. Though we have two bits of bad news first Cinderella, Aurora, and Snow White cannot return to their worlds for they have been taken over by the Dark Army. We can get the rest of you home but those three will have to stay here in Traverse Town." Merlin then stepped forward to stand beside Fairy Godmother.

"But rest assured that once Sora has defeated the Dark Army your worlds will return, and you will be able to return to your home worlds. However, that leads to the second bit of bad news, Sora once you start the mission on Hollow Bastion Chip and Dale will need to return to Traverse Town right away. With the princesses here the Dark Army may very well ambush us and take them again to perform more horrible experiments as such we will need the Gummi ship to get them out at a moment's notice. So, when you go back to Hollow Bastion. You. Must. Be. Ready!"

"Hey, can't we go with him? Let us help like we did last time!" Soon everyone started agreeing with Spiderman, none of them wanted to leave Sora to fight alone and they didn't want to just have to leave when they could still fight the Dark Army. But this time Fairy Godmother spoke up again.

"No, I'm afraid the Gummi ship's magic has already been massively exhausted." Sid then stepped forward from the crowd to face everyone with Chip on one of his shoulders and Dale on the other.

"Merlin and Fairy Godmother are right. That magic only barely kept us going while in Hollow Bastion, if we pull another stunt like that the Gummi ship will fall apart. Sorry kids but we only got one Gummi ship right now and we can't afford to let it get destroyed." Everyone lowered their heads and/ or sighed in disappointment or shame. Sora however stepped forward and turned to face everyone with a bright smile on his face.

"Don't worry everyone, I'm not alone, I got Donald the Head Wizard, Goofy the Captain of the Royal Guard, and now thanks to all your help! I got Kairi back too! So please, you've helped enough, you can go back to your worlds and live your lives without worry. Don't worry about us, we'll be ok." Thankfully this was enough to lift everyone's spirits and smile again. Soon after Sid, Chip, and Dale started to get everyone together and read to be sent back to their original worlds. One by one they said their goodbyes to the traverse town group and to each other before getting in line to go back home through the Gummi Ship. Once everyone said their goodbyes, Kairi grabbed Sora by the hand to get his attention.

"Come on, I have something to tell you." Sora was confused but nodded and followed Kairi, Kairi looked back and saw Alice looking at the two of them. Kairi then showed a smug smirk to which Alice pouted angrily at her.

Kairi led Sora to the plaza of Traverse Town, where she stopped at the fountain and Sora stopped as well. Sora started looking around as he had never been in this part of Traverse Town before.

"This place is beautiful."

"Yeah, it is, it's actually perfect." Kairi then looked at Sora while blushing joyfully with a bright smile on her face. Sora actually started blushing at the sight due to how pretty she looked at how she was smiling and the scenery around them only made her prettier.

"Sora... well Riku might call this cheating, but he should know that's my forte at this point."

"Huh?"

"Nothing, anyways! I just want you to know that, ever since we were little, I always liked having you around. I always liked watching you smile and loved playing games with you. I always rooted for you when you and Riku did your sword fights. I uh... what I'm trying to say is that I like you Sora, I really like you a lot and... Sora, do you want to go out with me?" Sora was wide eyed as his whole face turned red, as his heart started beating faster. Sora did like Kairi but apparently Kairi liked him for a lot longer. This was happening so fast but at the same time Sora really didn't have any reason to refuse. He absolutely did like Kairi and wanted to share a Paopu fruit. That was his only regret, that they didn't have a Paopu fruit to share together. But something like that would have to wait so instead of regretting it, Sora grabbed Kairi's hands and held them in his hands.

"Yes! I want to go out with you Kairi! Because I... I... I'm in love with you!" Kairi was left speechless as her face turned even redder than before. Kairi then leaned in closer to Sora and kissed him on the lips, Sora was shocked at first but soon closed his eyes as he kissed her back. They were both overcome with so much joy that neither of them noticed that both of their hearts were glowing in golden light. The light in both their hearts grew brighter until it flickered abnormally and suddenly, they both felt a pain in their hearts forcing them to stop kissing.

"Augh! What was that?!"

"That really hurt, Kairi, are you ok..." Sora looked at Kairi in confusion as he saw her with long blonde hair then it suddenly glitched to short black hair. Kairi then looked up at Sora only to see him with shorter blonde hair then suddenly glitched back to his normal spiky hair except it was black. Suddenly they both saw each other as back to normal leaving the both of them to just stare at one another in confusion.

"Uh... what was that?" Sora looked at his hands as he had no way to answer Kairi's question. Suddenly Sora remembered how Doxcrum stabbed him in the heart with a keyblade and it ended up stabbing Kairi as well when she was trapped in the dark crystal. Sora thought that with the power given to him by Fairy Godmother and Merlin in his heart, he completely healed Kairi. But then again it was the voice that said it would work and he has already made it clear he was never on Sora's side.

"Kairi, I..."

"I think we're ok but let me know if something like that happens again." Kairi just smiled and hugged Sora.

"Ok, Sora. Uh, sorry by the way, I think I rushed the whole girlfriend boyfriend thing."

"No! No, I... I do like you Kairi, but yeah. Now isn't the best time with fighting the Dark Army and all."

"I guess we can go on a date after we take back Destiny Islands."

"Yeah I'd like that, don't get me wrong with the Gummi Ship we can go wherever we want but after all the places I've been... I think being home for a little while would be good for us."

"You know what, I think I'd be ok with that; just don't forget we're definitely going traveling to other worlds afterwards!"

"Hahaha yeah, you can count on that! I already have so many worlds and places I want to show you!"

"I'll hold you to that." Sora and Kairi simply held hands as they smiled at one another.

"Oh come on! One more kiss wouldn't hurt!"

"Yuffie!" Sora and Kairi backed away from each other while blushing in embarrassment. They quickly looked around to see where the voices came from. Sora then noticed something weird at the distance, he then glared in disappointment, manifested his Crabclaw Keyblade, and Sprayed what he saw. It turned out to be Donald, Goofy, Yuffie, Leon, Cloud, and Aerith all concealed with Donald's invisible spell.

"What the-?! Guys, what the heck?!"

"Oh, come on, you guys look so cute! How could we resist watching you." Leon then slapped Yuffie on the back of the head, she then groaned at him in annoyance. Kairi then pouted in anger and walked away leaving Sora alone. Sora then crossed his arms and glared at them in disappointment.

"Uh... well we also came to tell you that Merlin and Fairy Godmother wanted to talk to you and Kairi." Sora didn't say anything nor did his facial expression change, he just walked away to get Kairi so that the two of them could meet at Merlin's place. Donald, Goofy, Yuffie, Leon, Cloud, and Aerith were just left there feeling bad and awkward about the situation.

"Uh, he'll forgive us. Sora's kindhearted like that."

"Like how he forgave you Donald?"

"... Shut up Goofy."

Once Kairi and Sora were back together Sora escorted her to Merlin's place and like the others said, Merlin and Fairy Godmother were there.

"Master Merlin and Master Fairy Godmother, this is Kairi, she's the friend I told you about! Kairi this is..." Sora stopped talking the moment he noticed that Kairi was looking at the both of them as if she recognized them. He then looked back to Merlin and Fairy Godmother and saw that they were looking at Kairi with a similar expression.

"Oh, we know who you are, Kairi. Though you were only a baby when we first met."

"Are- Are you, my grandmother?" Fairy Godmother was shocked by the question, but she quickly laughed it off.

"Oh no my dear, not at all. I apologize for laughing but your friend Sora asked a similar question. But no, my dear, I am not your grandmother. I just happened to be one of her friends."

"My grandmother's friend?" Merlin then sat up to join in on the conversation.

"Yes, my dear. You see your grandmother was actually one of the founding members of the Guardians of Light. We formed it after our victory against the Keepers of- Ahem! After our last Battle with the Dark Army. When things were falling apart, she and her husband led the rest of us through it all. If it wasn't for her neither me nor Fairy Godmother would be here." Kairi couldn't help but start to cry, she was always told by her adoptive parents on Destiny Islands that her grandmother died before she was born. But Kairi knew she met her grandmother while she was still alive, and that she was an amazing person. But to be one of the founders of the Guardians of Light, the Keyblade forces that Sora was currently a part of and was the Champion of. It was all overwhelming, but she didn't hate learning a single bit of it, instead she just wanted to know more and more.

"It was actually thanks to her contributions that we all agreed to declare her and her husband the king and queen of Radiant Garden. Hence her daughter became the princess and after she herself got married she became the new queen and later had you, the current princess." Kairi was now wide eyed in both shock and awe; this was not what she was expecting but it was still cool nonetheless. She then turned to Sora, and he nodded with a bright smile on his face.

"... So, I really am a princess?"

"Yes, and Hollow Bastion would have been your home... had the Dark Army not attacked and nearly destroyed everything. It's with pure luck that you were taken away from Radiant Garden before the Dark Army could take you. But as unfortunate as it is they did destroy the Kingdom of Radiant Garden only to keep Hollow Bastion as their main base of operations. In one fell swoop they nearly destroyed everything the Guardians of Light built. The only thing that was spared was Disney Castle, and that's only because we lost contact with them for the longest time. We had been trying to reestablish connections with them while also trying to rebuild our forces, but the Dark Army was growing too powerful and at such incredible speed. Why if it weren't for Sora we would still be scraping by and struggling to take a proper foothold against the Dark Army."

"Which brings us to the answer to your question my dear, I am sorry to say but your grandmother as well as your birth parents... have lost to the Dark Army, they are gone." Kairi sort of knew that this was true, it only made sense since her supposed kingdom was torn apart and taken over by the Dark Army. However, that didn't lighten the pain in her heart, even by a little bit, so she just started crying. Sora quickly took her hand to help comfort her, she then looked back at him and lunged at him to hug and while continuing to cry on his shoulder. After crying for a good amount, she then gently let go of Sora, wiped away her tears, and faced Merlin and Fairy Godmother with determination.

"All the more reason to take down the Dark Army!" Kairi then raised her hand high and from it manifested the Oblivion Keyblade instead of Destiny's Embrace.

"Huh?"

"Wait what? This isn't my Keyblade." Merlin and Fairy Godmother were especially shocked by the sight.

"Unbelievable, not only did she create a brand new Keyblade of Light from the fragments of a destroyed Keyblade of Darkness, but she also managed to unlock the keychain spell with no help at all."

"Could this be the power of a Princess of Heart? I don't recall any records of one wielding a Keyblade before."

"Ok, ok, slow down please. What happened to my keyblade, it didn't look like this before." This time Sora stepped forward to add his own input.

"The Keychain spell, it's what allows your Keyblade to do this!" Sora held out his Keyblade and it manifested into Lady Luck Keyblade, then Jungle King Keyblade, next Pumpkinhead Keyblade, and finally the Fairy Harp Keyblade. Sora then started floating a little to display the power given to him by the Keyblade.

"The best part is that not only do they all look cool, but each give you new powers, like this!" Kairi looked at Sora with sparkling eyes, she then gave the same look to her Keyblade.

"So, what does this Keyblade do?"

"No idea, my dear. You'll have to figure that out on your own." Kairi couldn't help but pout in disappointment because of what Merlin said, though she was still able to look at her Keyblade with a smile.

"Let's find out together Sora!" Sora smiled and nodded to show how excited he was, but then Sora realized that Kairi got this keyblade after she kissed him, maybe he had one too. Sora focused on how happy he was when they kissed and sure enough from his hand manifested the Oathkeeper Keyblade.

"Woah! I got a new Keyblade too! Awesome! But I don't understand, I thought I would only get new Keyblades when I liberate new worlds."

"Incorrect my boy. The Keychain spell gives you a new Keyblade whenever you forge a new connection, whether that be a new friend or perhaps something more... deeper." Sora and Kairi looked at each other, they both realized they got their new Keyblades from kissing and declaring their love for one another. Sora looked away while scratching the back of his head and Kairi looked the other way while covering her mouth, both turning red with embarrassment. Merlin and Fairy Godmother couldn't help but smile with joy at the sight of them.

"Hahaha, oh my! How wonderful it is to be young and in love. Alright, alright young ones we held you back long enough. You still have to stop the Dark Army but that can be done tomorrow."

"Ah wait! Fairy Godmother, you said I had parents and a grandfather as well? Who were they?"

"Oh the King and Queen of Radiant Garden were a lovely couple and loved you very dearly just like your grandparents did. I'm afraid I don't know them very well, but I do believe you might find a portrait of them when you go back to Hollow Bastion as well as your grandparents, the retired Queen Masako and retired King Ansem." Kairi and Sora both became wide eyed with fear.

"Ansem? As in Ansem, Seeker of Darkness?!" Fairy Godmother and Merlin looked at Sora and Kairi in shock, they then looked at each other in fear. Merlin then closed his eyes as he sighed in frustration and looked at both Kairi and Sora in sorrowful defeat.

"So, you've met him. We... I am terribly sorry for you to learn this way."

"Wait, you knew?! Why would you-?!" Sora placed his hand gently on Kairi's shoulder to which she stayed quiet. Sora then walked forward to face Merlin and Fairy Godmother.

"I knew you two were hiding something, but I wasn't expecting it to be this."

"... I apologize my boy, I underestimated you. I thought that you couldn't handle the truth and that you didn't need to know just yet. I truly apologize for my stupidity."

"You don't have to apologize because I think you're actually wrong about Ansem." Fairy Godmother, Merlin, and Kairi looked at Sora in confusion.

"What do you mean my boy?"

"Well, uh, I think they might just be two different people, I... Don't really have any proof but I think they're different people. Well, I mean, the Ansem we saw wore a white suit and gloves with a black coat, he looked too young to be a granddad and had white hair with yellow eyes." Fairy Godmother and Merlin looked at one another in confusion.

"Hm... That certainly doesn't sound like Ansem."

"It is possible for those who use the darkness to change their physical appearance, though that tends to only be temporary... unless... Hm..."

"No!" Merlin, Fairy Godmother, and Sora then looked at Kairi as she herself seemed full of frustration and sadness.

"Look I don't even remember his face and you guys clearly know more about him than I do but I know the real Ansem isn't evil! I can just feel it in my heart! So please! Believe me when I say Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and my grandfather Ansem are different people! They just have to be!" Kairi started crying, her legs were getting weak from the overwhelming fear she was feeling from the idea of her only family left alive being a monster that wants to destroy the multiverse to become a god. Sora quickly hugged Kairi and she hugged him back while crying on his shoulder.

"I am sorry, my dear. I realize that fighting the Darkness for so long after suffering so much loss has made the light in my heart has become dimmer. I am not as trusting to people or even old friends as I used to be." Kairi continued crying but soon she was done crying and let go of Sora. Sora then looked at Kairi with a smile on his face.

"We'll find out together, no matter what." Kairi wiped her tears away, smiled, and nodded at Sora. However, Kairi stopped smiling when she looked back at Fairy Godmother and Merlin.

"Uh, thank you. We'll be going now."

"Of course, my dear. good-" Kairi then left Merlin's place and slammed the front door, leaving Sora, Merlin, and Fairy Godmother in silence.

"... Luck..."

"Uh. Thank you, Master Merlin and Master Fairy Godmother, see you tomorrow." Sora then quickly ran after Kairi leaving Merlin and Fairy Godmother alone.

"The princess is angry with us."

"She has every right to be Merlin, though I'm surprised Sora wasn't angrier despite him stating he knew we were withholding information. That boy is forgiving, too forgiving. I hope you know how foolish it was to hold the truth from him, Merlin."

"I am well aware of that Fairy Godmother, it was a stupid attempt to protect the boy's innocence. But I fear he lost it the moment the Keyblade chose him as the Champion of Light." Fairy Godmother then sighed as she sat down with Merlin and took another sip of tea.

"... still though, white hair and yellow eyes? a black coat with a white shirt and white gloves as well? Does that not sound like Xehanort?"

"Xehanort? But wasn't he lost during the final battle at Radiant Garden? Also he was the one who proposed there was a traitor in the first place. Besides, even if he was the traitor, why would he be calling himself Ansem?"

"Hm... you're right, it makes no sense. My, the Darkness is not only clouding the multiverse but our minds as well."

"With any luck Sora will have conquered the darkness by tomorrow, and there's no one luckier nor who has a brighter heart than that boy."

Sora ran after Kairi and was quickly able to catch up to her but quickly noticed her looking annoyed when he reached her.

"Uh Kairi, are you ok?"

"Do you really trust those guys? Fairy Godmother and Merlin I mean."

"Well yeah, they helped me decipher the Ansem reports. Oh! Those are special reports your grandpa made by the way! Without them I wouldn't be able to unlock the keychain spell, and they even gave me this power in my heart that makes me stronger when things get tough. It's the same power I used to save you and everyone else!"

"At the cost of your own heart? You turned into that creepy Heartless thing because of it!" Sora stopped smiling and looked to the ground while scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Sora, I know you like to see the good in people but try to be more cautious, especially old people who lie like those two did."

"Well, I mean adults lie a lot; our parents sometimes lied to us."

"That's my point exactly! How often did those lies actually help us out? They just forced us to learn things the hard way! Kinda like how Merlin and Fairy Godmother lying made you fight Ansem without knowing anything about him!" Sora just sighed as he looked back up to Kairi with guilt on his face.

"Sorry Kairi."

"Don't apologize to me! Apologize to yourself! Seriously Sora, you need to watch out for yourself better. I'm honestly glad Mr. Goofy and that weird duck were by your side this entire time because otherwise you'd probably be toast at this point."

"... Heh, I won't deny that." Sora then smiled again while thinking about Donald and Goofy, Kairi was still crossing her arms and pouting at Sora but after seeing him smile she couldn't help but smile back. However, soon Kairi started yawning and so did Sora.

"Ugh, we should get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow after all."

"Yeah, I'll go get Donald and Goofy, we have a hotel we're staying at. Come one, I'll show you."

After finding Donald and Goofy, the four of them went to the hotel of Traverse Town. However, upon going to their room they saw that the bed wasn't big enough for all of them. Surprisingly Kairi and Donald end up having an argument about who would sleep on the bed and who would sleep on the floor.

"Me and Sora are keyblade wielders! Doesn't that mean we get to take priority?"

"Hey brat! Ever heard of respecting your elders?! Me and Goofy have been breaking our backs to protect Sora! How dare you suggest we sleep on the floor!"

"How dare I? We're the kids here! Should you take responsibility as adults and let us take the bed?!"

"Now listen here, little girl-!" The two continue arguing with Sora scratching the back of his head feeling embarrassed by Kairi's rashness. Meanwhile Goofy facepalmed being embarrassed by Donald's stubbornness, especially him arguing with a kid. Goofy then sighed, grabbed Donald, and covered his mouth to keep him from continuing to argue against Kairi.

"We'll just get the sleeping bags for the floor while you kids take the bed."

"Thank you mister-"

"BUT! Remember, you are a girl and a boy! Keep your distance under the covers." Goofy continued glaring at Sora and Kairi as he walked away leaving Sora scared and Kairi confused. Once Sora and Kairi were alone, they looked at each other, still silent because of Goofy's glare.

"Uh, is Mr. Goofy always like that?"

"He's actually a dad, so he's actually quite protective."

"Oh... Cool..." Sora noticed that once again Kairi was looking to the ground with sadness in her eyes.

"Kairi? You, ok?"

"... I just... I finally learned what happened to my grandma. My parents back on destiny island always said she died before I was born but I knew! I knew that I met her when I was younger. But even now that I know the truth, she's still gone either way. And my parents aren't even my real parents. My real parents were the king and queen of Radiant Garden and even they were lost to Darkness... worst off I don't even know if my grandpa is gone or if some psycho took his name and used it as some kind of sick joke! I mean either way my grandpa is gone and... so too is my family and that means-" Sora then hugged Kairi to keep her from going any further into despair.

"You're not alone Kairi, you have me and Riku, you have the traverse town group and everyone at Destiny Island too. Even if they're not your biological family just like me they really do care about and love you." Kairi didn't cry this time but managed to smile as she started hugging Sora back.

"And besides, we'll be fighting the Dark Army and beating them for good tomorrow! With your keyblade you'll be there to have your revenge against those rotten jerks! And I'll be helping you, we'll save the multiverse and avenge everyone the Dark Army wronged, together!" Sora then let go of Kairi and raised his Kingdom Keyblade high in the air while smiling at Kairi with determination. Kairi couldn't deny anything Sora was saying so instead of continuing to sulk she manifested Destiny's Embrace and raised it high as well making it cross with Sora's keyblade. The entire time Goofy was watching them from the corner with tears in his eyes while Donald was under him and red with anger that Goofy was still covering his mouth.

Sora and Kairi took the bed but did as Goofy threatened and kept their distance from one another. Meanwhile Goofy and Donald got sleeping bags and slept on the ground, Goofy ended up sleeping like a log, while Donald got back pain in the morning. Once they were all up, they had breakfast together and went off to the town square, where they law the Traverse Town group with Merlin and Fairy Godmother.

"You guys here to see us off?"

"Of course, my boy, but also to help give a boost. You see, after deciphering another report I found a way to give you not one but two new Keyblades!"

"Awesome! Can you do the same for Kairi?"

"Ah, unfortunately not my boy. You see, it requires connections like friendship. As such it won't be possible for us to give her anymore."

"Sorry Kairi."

"It's ok Sora, having two Keyblades already is overwhelming so I think it's for the best." Sora still felt like this was unfair but there was nothing to be done so he left it alone for now. Sora then walked up to Merlin and both he and Fairy Godmother touched Sora's keyblade. From their hands glowed a blue light that spread throughout the Keyblade, covering it with the blue light until it reformed into Spellbinder Keyblade.

"Good it worked out perfectly, now go to the others." Sora then walked over to Cloud, Sid, Yuffie, Leon, and Aerith and they all touched the keyblade together. This time a white glowing light appeared from their hands and covered the keyblade until it reformed into the Ultima Weapon Keyblade.

"Like always we are unable to tell what kind of power these keyblade will give you, but I have no doubt you will be able to use it to its full potential." Sora smiled and bowed to them all to further show his appreciation for the new Keyblades. Leon then stepped forward to speak to Sora.

"Sora, once you stop the Dark Army there will be no reason to come back here, you'll just go straight home so for now this is goodbye."

"Eh don't say goodbye Leon. say 'see you later'. I'm definitely going to come visit you guys and everyone else from the different worlds. I'm just going to relax back on my home world first for a while. It's been a while since I've seen my parents after all. But hey, no matter what happens I'll never forget you guys!"

"Yeah! Show them who's boss!" Everyone continued to cheer Sora on then cheered Donald, Goofy and Kairi on as the four of them went to the Gummi ship. Once inside the Gummi ship there stood Chip and Dale looking at them all proudly.

"We're all set to head back to Hollow Bastion!"

"Since we've already been there, the journey will be over in a flash! Are you all set to go?" Sora looked back at Kairi, Donald, and Goofy, all three of them smiling with determination. Sora then looked back at Chip and Dale with the same determination fueled smile on his own face.

"We're ready for anything! Let's Go!"

Just as Chip and Dale said the trip to Hollow Bastion took a literal second. However, what wasn't expected was that once they entered the castle of Hollow Bastion it was completely abandoned. Ansem was gone, Doxcrum was gone, The Keyblade Wielders of Darkness were gone, even the Heartless were gone. Nothing even remotely relating to the darkness was there, every room was just empty. It was actually to the point that it was quite uncomfortable due to how barren it all was compared to the chaotic endless waves of Heartless from before.

"This is weird, where did they all go?"

"I remember hearing them say something about a gateway. Gosh, do you think it's that weird portal thing that Doxcrum was guarding?"

"Most likely. The question is, where did it lead them?"

"Hey what's this?" Sora, Donald, and Goofy turned around to see Kairi staring at a seemingly normal and boring wall. Sora and Goofy were confused while Donald was quickly growing red in anger.

"Are you going to just mess around and not be helpful at all?!" Kairi just glared at Donald and pressed onto a button hidden in the wall. By doing so the wall pulled back and shifted until it was a full opening into a hidden library. Kairi smirked mockingly at Donald, she used her hand to form an L gesture on her forehead while sticking her tongue at him as she walked into the library. Donald was left standing there annoyed, Sora tried to tap Donald on the shoulder but Goofy stopped him, the two of them just followed Kairi.

Thankfully it didn't take long for Donald to follow, though he was silent and still had a look of annoyance on his face. Sora and Goofy both silently decided it was best to leave Donald alone to get over his anger on his own. Sora instead chose to focus on Kairi who was looking around the library as if she knew where she was going. Kairi started looking at each of the books and seemingly started looking for specific books only to quickly move on to the next one after finding one. Eventually after going through what seemed like a maze of books through the library, Kairi finds the other end of the library where there was a barren table right next to several large windows. Sora just thought of it as another table, but he could also see Kairi slowly approaching it as if she was looking at something she hadn't seen in years.

"Kairi? Are you ok?"

"This... This is where she read to me."

"Who?"

"MY grandmother Sora, this is where she reads stories to me... Oh, she read to me stories about the worlds she visited, about the Guardians of Light, about how she was a Keyblade Wielder of Light that fought against the Darkness."

"Wow, so this place really was your castle!" Kairi looked back at Sora and nodded with a joyful smile but also a hint of sadness in her eyes. Kairi then looked around until she saw a wall to the right and gasped at the sight. Sora looked in the same direction in confusion only to see a portrait of Kairi's family. There were her parents, Sora could tell it was them because not only did the mom look like an adult version of Kairi, but she also had the crown to show she was the queen. Kairi's mother was wearing a beautiful pink and white dress while the dad had brown hair and green eyes with a red blazer jacket and white pants with a golden crown like his wife.

Kairi's mom the queen was holding a baby wrapped in a white blanket which was obviously Kairi. Kairi's mom was sitting on a chair with a bright smile on her face with Kairi's dad standing next to her while smiling joyfully. Behind him was Kairi's grandmother who was smiling quite sweetly, Sora couldn't help but smile at her. Somehow Sora could tell from this portrait that Kairi's family was loving to her and their kingdom. However, Sora and Kairi were shocked when they turned their gaze to where her grandfather was.

All that was visible of him was that he was wearing a lab coat and had one of his hands on the shoulder of Kairi's mother. They couldn't see his face because it was splattered with gray paint and over it was written "Coward!" in large letters of red paint. Sora could tell from this that whoever wrote that was truly furious with Kairi's Grandfather. Sora then looked over to Kairi who was staring at the painting with a hint of sadness mixed with anger.

"Kairi?" Sora tried to walk over to her and gently touch her shoulder but suddenly Kairi crouched in pain as he put her hands to her head as if she was having a bad headache.

"Kairi what's wrong?!" Kairi couldn't hear Sora instead she started having more memories flood in.

Kairi saw herself running as her grandmother was pulling her arm, trying to lead her to safety. She looked at the sky, the Darkness In-Between Worlds was exposed to the world, allowing the Heartless to fly in everywhere. Then suddenly an explosion happened near Kairi and her grandmother, this caused Kairi to suddenly remember another memory. Kairi was suddenly on her knees trying to help her grandmother who was on the ground with rubble on her back pinning her down. Kairi could see her grandmother trying to tell her to just leave her and find a Gummi ship off planet, but Kairi wouldn't listen to her and tried to get the rubble off her despite it being too heavy.

"There you are wee las, or should I say Kairi th' Princess." Kairi then turned around in fear to see Doxcrum on one knee, towering over her. He then grabbed her arm and pulled her away.

Finally, Kairi was back to the present, she was covered in sweat due to the fear she felt during her memories around seemingly losing her grandmother and being kidnapped by Doxcrum. Kairi promised she would stop crying but she just couldn't help it after what she saw in her hidden memories. Sora quickly ran to her side and hugged her while she continued to cry heavily. However, to Sora's surprise she stopped crying rather quickly and stood up with a look of determination and anger as tears still left her eyes.

"He was there, Doxcrum. When my kingdom was destroyed, he was the one who took me from my home and my family. He's going to pay!" Kairi manifested her keyblade and gripped it with seething rage. Sora knew that look, he wasn't in front of a mirror when it happened, but he could tell the last time he looked like that was when he went on a rampage against Braig. Sora quickly took Kairi's hand and held it, Kairi slowly managed to calm down after feeling Sora's hand. She then let out some more tears before wiping them away and looking at Sora with a gentle smile.

"Sorry Sora, I don't mean to cry so much, this is just so overwhelming."

"I- I know Kairi, this is a lot but uh... Well, you'll get used to it!" Sora just jokingly smiled at her and chuckled a little, but then he opened his eyes at Kairi and saw her looking at him with great concern.

"Are... Are you ok Sora?"

"Uh... Well... Let's just say that being the Champion of Light hasn't always been the easiest job." Kairi still looked at Sora in concern; she then quickly pulled Sora to her and hugged him tightly. Goofy just stood there and watched the two of them with sadness in his eyes, it didn't feel good watching youngsters deal with this kind of soul crushing problems. However, Donald didn't feel the same way and walked toward Sora and Kairi while crossing his arms in disappointment.

"Come on you too, we're not making any progress here." Sora sighed and let go of Kairi while apologizing to Donald. Though it was obvious he was still annoyed with Donald; he did as Donald asked because he agreed with them wasting time. Kairi however was deeply annoyed and as they left the library she glared at him with anger, though Donald glared back with disappointment. However, as Kairi passed Goofy, she saw in his eyes that he wanted to apologize for Donald but couldn't find the words. She then smiled and patted him on the back as she passed him by with a gentle smile on her face to show her appreciation for at least being more caring.

Now out of the library they made it to the gateway, once again there was no one around but it was quite obvious it was because they were on the other side.

"Where does this gateway even go?"

"No idea, but wherever it goes, it will probably be filled with Heartless."

"This is going to be the toughest fight we've ever been through; are you guys ready?" Sora, Kairi, Goofy, and Donald looked at each other, one by one they all nodded with smiles of determination together.

"As long as I have you guys by my side, I'll be ready for anything. Let's go!" The four of them then grabbed each other's hands and stepped into the gateway portal.

[kingdom-hearts-redux]

The Keyblade(s), The Princess of Heart & The Great Keyblade War

To avoid the confusion caused by there being multiple Keyblades/Keyblade wielders, there is now only one big main Keyblade- also known as the Kingdom Key- which can only be wielded by the Princess of Heart, also of which there is only one.

The title of Princess of Heart is passed down from wielder to wielder (not necessarily parent to child) alongside the Kingdom Key to anyone found worthy of its potential, its vague consciousness drawn to those of purest Heart like a compass. This is the title Sora inherited when Kairi fused their hearts and bodies into one to prevent either/both from being overcome by the Darkness seeping in through the dark doorway in the cave in KH1.

The Princess of Heart can restore hearts, heal worlds, etc., but there’s a physical as well as spiritual limit, and an inner strength that must be trained and honed to be able to use any of its magical and amazing powers properly.

And yes, the mantle of Princess of Heart stays the same regardless of who holds the Keyblade.

The other Keyblades are more replicas in its image that act as elemental wands with no vague consciousness that allow their wielders to perform magic of a slightly lower tier than that of the Kingdom Key, but they can still do a lot, and still require their wielder to have a certain degree of inner strength and aptitude to perform magic.

These elemental Keyblades were first created before the Great Keyblade War of waaay back when, and were used to fight for the dark purposes of the worlds’ denizens when they began to look upon the radiance of Kingdom Hearts with greed and malicious intent, as well as the light that defended it and fought for those who could do nothing but watch as the war split very worlds apart.

To prevent any further destruction, the then-Princes of Heart used their power to seal Kingdom Hearts behind a door that would go down in legend and myth, and separate the worlds so they couldn’t cause or be subjected to any further harm.

These days, the elemental Keyblades are much less widely used. Along with the recorded history of the time, the way to forge a Keyblade has been lost except to a very select few who were close to the Princess of Heart who served and protected them and theirs- or anyone else who happened to survive to tell the bloody tale.

After the Great Keyblade War, the Princess of Heart vanished into reclusion, and likely found someone to take up the title, and then again, and again, until today, where Kairi was chosen by her grandmother- the next-most recent Princess of Heart- to be the new Princess of Heart. Nobody was supposed to know abut the coronation, but somehow a whispered word got out and led to a siege upon the castle that led to her escaping with a knight and her best friend to Destiny Isles, where she hoped to live peacefully, almost afraid of the Keyblade as much as she felt attached to it, where hardly anybody would look...

... Except for someone who would do anything to find out.
