Naminé & Roxas Are Twins

(this meta was inspired by @violethowler's Constructing Kingdoms series on YT)

In KH2, the relationship between Sora & Roxas is seemingly paralleled with that of Naminé & Kairi. It is explained by characters in-game that Naminé, a Nobody, must have been created by Kairi's presence in Sora's Heart during KH1. Thusly is it concluded that Naminé must be the Nobody of Kairi, another facet of that Princess of Heart.

Except... Kairi is a Princess of Heart: a being of pure light, without any Darkness of her own. It is physically impossible for Naminé to be Kairi's Nobody.

At no point has Kairi exhibited the capacity to hold Darkness. Kairi's lack of Darkness is, arguably, one of the major reasons for her lack of combat prowess: without "darkness" of her own, Kairi is unable to feel the selfishness needed to hurt others. This is a small, fundamental kind of Darkness that all living things carry: without it, a Princess of Heart is all too essily incapacitated by selflessness.

Naminé isn't (can't) be Kairi's Nobody: she, like Roxas, is a Nobody of Sora & Ventus. Naminé and Roxas are twins.

Roxas and Naminé are unlike any other Nobody within the KH setting: they alone were capable of developing "selfhood", independently from their Hearts of origin. This is due to the many unique circumstances of their birth: Sora's self-sacrifice in KH1. That event featured multiple oddities likely to affect Sora's Heart, Heartless & the Nobodies created: self-sacrifice (love); heartlessness via keyblade; the specific keyblade used (the Keyblade of [People's] Hearts); the origin of said keyblade (Riku the ???, the person Sora likely loved most at the time); the presence of Kairi, a Princess of Heart, within Sora's Heart; the presence of Ventus, an artificial "Princess of Heart"; the location of the sacrifice (Ansem's Lab in Hollow Bastion, a World fallen to Darkness)... and likely even more factors, known & as yet unaddressed.

As twin Nobodies to Sora's Heartless, Roxas & Naminé were affected by all variables noted above. Sora has been the Host of several Hearts for his entire life: that makes him special, even before Riku chose Sora to be a keyblade wielder. I venture that the Heart most relevant to Naminé's birth was not Kairi's but Ven's: for where Roxas most resembles Sora in disposition, Naminé resembles Ventus-without-Vanitas. Kairi's presence within Sora's Heart had effects, yes, but less than perhaps understood.

The misunderstanding, I argue, comes largely from Kairi's longterm role of "Designated Female": as the lone KH-original female for much of KH's early development (& popularity), Kairi is often considered a "default option" with regards to all things feminine. This feeds not only into assumptions of a Kairi-focused love triangle but also into an overinflation of Kairi's presence in the story.

As with Xion, Naminé's true identity is obscured, in-game & within fandom, by her gender: "Xion & Naminé are female; the only female in proximity to this plotline is Kairi: Xion & Naminé must therefors be derivative personas of Kairi".

Here, as always, Kairi serves as a convenient "default" of femininity, misdirecting players and characters from the queer potential within KH. It is wholly believed, by Sora & the girls in question, that Naminé was Kairi's Nobody. Yet, it is never Kairi whose story and character is most expanded by Naminé's involvement: Naminé's story is, instead, a follow-up to that of BBS's Ventus.

Kairi struggles with a forgotten past, loss & a resistance to change (of "growing up"). Naminé, in parallel & in contrast, experiences the kind of life that Kairi has forgotten: [medical abuse], extortion & isolation. Naminé's time with Organization XIII & with DiZ mirrors that of VEN's with Master Xehanort (&, to a lesser degree, with Master Eraqus).

Kairi's history as a test subject of Xehanort &, possibly, of Ansem the Wise? She's forgotten it and, outside of Melody of Memories, we never get to see how it affected her.  Kairi's Ambiguously Traumatic Past is only ever used for her in her role as "MacGuffin" (i.e. an object of plot importance & no other story-relevant function, one that is ultimately interchangeable with). Kairi's story barely affects Naminé's & Naminé's doesn't affect Kairi's either: the characters most changed by Naminé's character arc were Sora & Riku. This further alludes to Naminé not truly originating from Kairi's Darkness but from Sora-Ven.

The duality of Sora-Ven is reflected in Sora's producing two distinct ("twin") Nobodies during KH1. Roxas is most reflective of Sora but physically looks like Ventus; Naminé is most reminiscent of Ventus-without-Vanitas but (allegedly) "looks like Kairi": this does not occur in the Nobodies of other hybrid-beings, as evident in Xemnas (Terra & Xehanort) & Xigbar (Braig & Luxu). In this way, Naminé & Roxas are more akin to Xion than most every other Nobody.

Ignoring the gender binaries (canonically used & assumed in-universe), the characters that Naminé actually resembles are Ventus (who I propose as Naminé's "primary" origin) & Xion (another artificial being with Sora Origins).

Narratively & thematically, Naminé's arc from CoM to KH2 was a continuation of Ven's story in Birth By Sleep. Both characters are strongly tied to themes of isolation, abusive authority figures, and artificial life. While other characters - Xion, Repliku & Terra-Xehanort - also explore these themes, Kairi notably does not.

I will note that Naminé does not NEED to be Kairi's Nobody to act as her narrative foil: I just find that identifying Naminé with Kairi is buying into the very same (false) Binaric Gender Roles that CoM, Days & (to a lesser extent) BBS sought to poke holes in. Tiny, easily mistranslated-into-nonexistence holes but holes nonetheless. Attempting to conflate Naminé with Kairi is to give the latter character more narrative presence than she truly has, in an effort to reconcile the two together beyond "similarly aged females in proximity to KH's plot".

Sora's Heart Hotel as DigiDestineds:

Sora Caelum has the Crests of Hope (coz he's good at giving people hope &, before Xehanort finally succeeds in shattering Sora, the enbe's good at hoping for a nice future) and Wrath (he loses themself in rage many times, but learns to channel it constructively). Her Digimon partner's nickname is Sky (in honour of Sora's biological mum Skye Caelum née Rangi). Sky's digivolution line consists of: Botamon; Wanyamon; Liollmon; Leomon or Rukamon/Dolphmon; ViciousMeicrackmon (when digivolving from Leomon) or Mermaimon (when digivolving from Rukamon/Dolphmon); ClavisAngemon (when matrix digivolving with Sora). Whenever Sky digivolves, the Crest of Hope or the Crest of Wrath (depending on which trait the duo emotionally connected over at the time) appears on the screen of Sora's digivice; whenever a digivolution fails due to the partners not being in sync with each other or having issues they haven't even tried to resolve, nothing happens.

Naminé Caelum has the Crests of Knowledge (coz they is good at using their knowledge of others to their advantage and gladly shares their information on various things with other people) and Envy (coz their jealousy over others' friendships, fuelled by loneliness & being abused, prompts them to make some cruel decisions before they redeems themself). Naminé's Digimon partner's nickname is Kioku. Kioku's digivolution line consists of: Dokimon; Budmon; Diarimon; Sorcerimon/Sorcermon; Fantomon/Phantomon; Gokumon/Reapermon.

Roxas Takirua has the Crests of Knowledge (coz he always wants to learn things, to understand both how stuff works and why other people make the decisions they do) and Wrath (coz he has a hot temper that bursts out whenever he's confused and especially when someone is being cruel to him or his friends). His Digimon partners' nicknames are Hikari & Yami. Hikari's digivolution line consists of: YukimiBotamon; Nyaromon; Plotmon/Salamon; Tailmon/Gatomon; Angewomon; Mastemon. Yami's consists of: Botamon; Nyaromon; Shalamon (which doesn't exist in canon); BlackTailmon/BlackGatomon; LadyDevimon; Mastemon. Hikari & Yami are twins who jogress digivolve (a.k.a. fusion of two Digimon, in this case done as Angewomon & LadyDevimon respectively) to reach their Mega form, neither of them matrix digivolving with Roxas; whereas all of the others' Digimon partners reach Mega by fusing with their respective human partners. Mastemon is the strongest of the six Mega Level Digimon, due to being the result of two Ultimates combining their power.

Shion Takirua (formerly Xion, originally No.i) has the Crests of Courage (coz she does what she believes is right despite feeling scared) and Pride (her tendency to make a decision on other people's behalf, although well-intentioned, is arrogant as she – before eventually growing out of it – believes her solution is best for everyone instead of asking others what they want to do). Her Digimon partner's nickname is Pūmahara. Pūmahara's digivolution line consists of: Botamon; Tsumemon; Copipemon; NoirSistermon (called Sistermon Noir in canon); ChoHakkaimon (called Cho-Hakkaimon in canon); Ofanimon/Ophanimon.

Vanitas Ducimus has the Crests of Sincerity (coz ze's always honest, though ze does sometimes say genuine things whilst knowing other people will accidentally misinterpret zir words as zir choice of words was specifically done to manipulate them) and Greed (ze wants a lot of things, willing to steal and even kill to get them). Zir Digimon partner's nickname is Dusk. Dusk's digivolution line consists of: Cocomon/Conomon; Chocomon/Kokomon; Lopmon; Wendimon; Baalmon; Murmukusmon. Dusk is Dawn's twin.

Ventus "Ven" Aurora has the Crests of Kindness (coz he's a nice person who wants to help other people – random strangers included – and is loyal to his friends along with learning eventually to be reliable) and Sloth (one of the things Ven learns during his adventures is that trying to avoid thinking 'bout bad things by slacking off with new acquintances & leaving responsibilities for other people to take care of is selfish). Ven's Digimon partner's nickname is Dawn. Dawn's digivolution line consists of: Zerimon; Gummymon; Terriermon; Darcmon; PriestHolyAngemon (called HolyAngemon Priest/MagnaAngemon Priest in canon); FatedDestinyRapidmon (called Golden Rapidmon X in canon). Dawn is Dusk's twin.

Part 2 of my brain being unhinged.

As I said last time, this is the basic lore run down for my KH X GI au because I have a problem.

Basics: Like I said last time, the basic run down is that Sora ended up in Teyvat instead of Quadratum, so now Riku and Kairi are going there to try find him, however the power that sent them there also dragged a good few of the others along for the ride. What I didn't mention last time is that Teyvat is like Quadratum in the sense that is very difficult to get into, so as an 'entry fee' to get in they're not allowed to leave until 'peace has been restored', aka until the plot is over.

Visions: The interesting part, I know the whole group is Descenders and realistically couldn't get a Vision, but it's my au so I'm gonna twist the rules and say for a reason the gang isn't aware of they can get them. Everyone can still use their regular powers though, and a good few characters won't even have a Vision by the time the main team catches up with them. Because of this, Vision's don't have to match the characters associated element and are instead given based on a trait they show when they unlock their ambition, for example Elrena is going to have an Anemo Vision alongside her usual lightning powers. I'm mostly basing my decisions off of this post as it gives a good case for a unifying trait of all the elements.

Keyblades: Every nation is going to be treated as it's own world basically, so after completing the Archon Quest every Keyblade wielder who was present get's a new Keyblade to play around with. Part of this was for rule of cool, the other was because drawing Destiny's Embrace made it very clear I had to get people more options so I don't have to murder my hand drawing some of these things. Also, not gonna say who or when yet, but certain Genshin characters are gonna get Keyblades as well, some intentionally, a lot by accident-

Princesses of Heart: Like I said, every nation is gonna be treated like it's own world, so every nation is gonna have one of Teyvat's Seven Princesses of Heart, though in this case Princess is more of a gender neutral term as a girl, guy or anything in between can be one of the Princesses.

Is the main plot gonna have any changes: Not gonna spoil what specifically is gonna change, but the KH gang being in the plot is gonna spawn a lot of changes, some out of necessity so the KH crew don't steamroll the plot, other things I changed because I think they would be neat, and some changes were purely because the plot desperately needed some ironing out in areas (spoilers but not really, Inazuma is gonna be changed the most-)

Characters: Gonna have some character focused posts later but for now I’ll just go over the basics of where everyone starts out.

Riku and Kairi start in Mondstat, with Ienzo also being along for the ride.

Naminé is assisting Albedo up in Dragonspine

Lea/Axel is working for Beidou so she can get him and Roxas to Inazuma, meanwhile Roxas is more or less just Vibing with the Liyue kids.

Isa is working for Yae at the Shrine to help him and Xion, meanwhile Xion herself is pretending to just be a helpful random girl but is actually with the resistance.

Repliku is vibing in the Saberuz theatre with Nilou cause he as nothing else to do, and Vanitas is making questionable life choices yet again (he’ll get better I swear-)

Sora um… he’s complicated, but let’s just say he isn’t tied to any one nation and he’s having a not great time-

Laurium and Elrena are both members of Spina di Rosula, however the former is also the part time tea party planner to Furina and the latter spends her free time helping the twins with their act.

There’s still more but I wanna leave them a surprise so I’ll get back to them later.

Quadruplets brother au

(My other account got a revamp so I’m kickstarting this account off again with the au that I wanted to post years ago but I was too shy too. Hope I get to brain rot about this again!)(this is obviously almost 3 years old and not at all fleshed out as much as my current au’s are but we had to start somewhere right?😅.)

So this au has been in my head for SO long and I thought I’d share it.

It starts off with their mother and father who one day decided to have a baby. Well, they weren’t expecting 4. They only bought stuff for one baby and didn’t have enough money for the other three. But despite that they continued to try to raise the children anyway. They couldn’t and decided to put all of them up for adoption (because they didn’t want them separated).

All 4 end up in an adoption center ready to be adopted at any time. But, Something happened in the adoption system where the 4 were registered as just themselves and not as quadruplets. So all 4 were adopted around the same time but by different families.

Ventus was adopted by Aqua and Terra (the Way-Finders)

Vanitas was adopted by Xehanort with his sons Ansem, Xemnas and Xehanort Jr who they call junior (he’s just young Xehanort). (The dark family)

Sora was adopted by Aerith and Zach (the fairs)

Roxas was adopted by Cloud and Tifa (the strifes)

They spent about 4 years without each other until kindergarten where a mutual friend (an oc of mine don’t worry bout it rn) of there’s pointed out that they look the same, and even got confused with them (as people who aren’t used to twins, triplets etc do). The teacher notices this and is like “wait a minute-“ and calls for a conference with the parents. They immediately notice the similarities and get in touch with the adoption center. They figure out that the boys were in fact quadruplets and they go off on the center, I kid you not.

They do a lot of government stuff and all the parents become the legal guardians of the boys. I guess you can say that their co-parenting. Since they’re co-parenting, the boys switch houses every month or so.

Ok now time for other characters and their significance to the story.

Xion is their cousin. Her mother and father really wanted to stay in touch with the boys, and even help get the boys in contact with their birth parents (unsuccessfully).

Kairi and Naminé are twins in this au, kairi is sora’s childhood friend and Naminé is Roxas’.

Riku is Sora’s and Kairi’s childhood bestfriend. His parents go abroad often and because they’re so close to Aqua and Terra, Riku stays with them for most of the time.

Xemnas is Xehanort’s son. He started a bakery called “13” and everyone who works there are called the “organization members”.

Ansem is Xehanort’s oldest son,

Junior (young Xehanort) is a second year in college.

Aqua is a dance instructor, she has her own studio in radiant garden (which would be a country?? Ion know I didn’t think that far)

Extras:

Kairi part times at aerith’s flower shop and Naminé too when she has time.

Vani is really into rock and he’s saving up so one day he will go to one of his favorite band’s concert.

The boys actually have days where they all sit down and talk to get stuff off of their chest or just relax. They do it on Saturday since “Saturday is for the boys”

During their Saturday time they lock themselves in their room (of which ever house they’re in for that Saturday) with a sign on the door that says “keep out” and no one is allowed inside until they’re done.

Two boys: Sora and Roxas

Girl and a boy: I thought of doing dipper and Mabel but then I thought hmmm naming someone dipper I’d a bad idea, maybe Mason and Mabel? Idk. I do genuinely really like the name Mabel though. BILL???

Two girls: idk there aren’t any female twins I can think of off the top of my head. Kairi and Naminé? Idk, I like Kairi a lot but, and not that it’s a bad name, but idk if I’d want to name my child naminé. I’ll see.

Anyway the only one I’m even partly serious about is Sora and Roxas but solely because I genuinely really like those names. Sora means sky and Roxas is just a cool ass name y’know?

Ehhhh, sometimes? Most of them seem to be implied to be the same person with the ability to feel emotions stripped from them, other than two notable exceptions - Roxas and Naminé. Both of them were technically "born" from the same event - Sora turning into a Heartless, releasing his own heart (which had Ventus's heart attached to it) and Kairi's heart (which had taken refuge in him for safety), making twin Nobodies in the process. This makes Roxas eligible for the Birth Parent Clause and Unconventional Birth Clause, and Naminé eligible for the Gender Clause (being female), possibly Birth Parent Clause (depending on if you count Sora or Kairi as the "parent", as technically she came from the release of Kairi's heart, an action performed by Sora), and the Unconventional Birth Clause.

Xion is *technically* not a Nobody. She's a Replica. She was artificially created to steal the ability to wield the Keyblade from Sora by siphoning his memories. She was also made by male scientists (primarily Vexen) which would make her qualify for all three clauses.

Do Nobodies from Kingdom Hearts count under the Unconventional Birth Clause (based off the fact that they are "born" only when their original person becomes a Heartless), or does the fact that they are technically the "bodies" of the original person mean their original birth is the one that's counted?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I can tell, nobodies seem to be regarded as separate people from their human counterparts, and would thus most likely be counted separately and apply for the Unconventional Birth Clause (and possibly Birth Parent Clause, depending on the identity of their human counterpart). Again, correct me if I'm wrong here- I wasn't able to find a very concrete explanation on this from the sources I checked.

-The au starts after the movie, aka in the time of big hero 6 the series (i dont have an actuall story yet since i am currently watching the series)

-aqua is a student at the SFAI

-naminé is a student at the SFAI

-terra used to be friends with tadashi and wasabi

- xemnas and ansem (sod) are twins and the older brothers of terra

- eraqus and xehanort are married (xehaqus? Yes)

- xemnas , ansem (sod) and terra are the children of xehaqus (how? I guess they are adopted)

- aqua is the sister of Isa

- lea and kairi are siblings (gotta throw in all of the siblings headcanons XD)

- roxas and ventus are twins, while sora and vanitas are their cousins (they are also twins)

- the ux kids are also present

- riku and repliku are twins

-repliku is a nickname ,his actuall name (in the au) is reriku (his parents are uncreative, and so am i)

- maybe just maybe ill add the Disney characters as humans

- ienzo and terra are good friends (they both used to learn under ansem but terra decided to go to the SFIT)

except all of the witnesses keep saying “you were here, i saw you, i thought YOU did this” and also all of the Kumakura Gang Organization members keep mistaking him for someone named Roxas and everyone is kinda confused

Riku, the talent scout (with some kind of connection connection to the Kumakuras Organization)

Kairi, Riku’s number one star

Riku and Kairi are Sora’s best friends, naturally

Minnie, director of ABIS

Chip and Dale, ABIS technicians

Donald and Goofy, police officers frequently assigned to cordon off the crime scenes

Daisy, a reporter looking for a scoop on the copycat Mirror Murders, and Jiminy, her assistant

Ansem (KH1), an influential politician

Xemnas and company as XIII, a very shady but strictly legal scientific research company

XIII is, naturally, a legal front for and monetary supplier of The Organization, a criminal gang

and of course, Every Somnium is a different Disney World

also featuring Terra and Aqua as the first murder victims

it’s revealed that Sora used to be Vanitas, the aforementioned Mirror Murderer. he got caught, and, in exchange for a lighter sentence, he was offered an opportunity to do undercover work, become a mole in The Organization

but Vanitas’ arrest was very public, and it would look super suspicious if he broke out without help and suddenly tried to join The Organization after rebuffing their advances beforehand, so he bodyswapped with Roxas’ twin brother, Ventus, using the Psync Machine.

(Sora never bothers to look into a mirror during the narrative and thus never has a reason to describe himself visually, and the reader is left to assume “oh, it’s Sora, he looks like Sora,” but no. he’s in Ventus’ body, and he looks like Roxas.)

Ventus volunteered to help with the undercover operation because the Organization forced Roxas to do a job for them by threatening his girlfriend Xion, and then blackmailed him into joining them permanently

but the bodyswap procedure went sideways, leaving Sora-in-Ventus’-Body an amnesiac and Ventus-in-Sora’s-Body in a coma

the Organization has learned that Roxas has a doppelgänger associated with the police, so Roxas’ crimes have been escalating in severity, eventually leading to the murders, because he has a kind of safety net

except one murder gets caught on camera and ABIS is forced to put Sora in house arrest and everyone finds out that no, they’re two separate people.

Boss coming up to a memoryless date has similar vibes to xemnas coming up to Roxas and making him a part of the organization...

But I'm sure that she has no ulterior motives and is not planning anything suspicious

Roxas & Naminé are Twins

While Naminé considers herself a Mutant Nobody of Kairi, it is CANONICAL that it was Sora doing THIS

"created" Roxas and Naminé.

Excluding the presence of Donald & Goofy, there are THIRTEEN HEARTS involved in this scene:

all seven hosts of the Primordial X-blade's Light, six within the Keyblade of Heart that Sora uses to "unlock" himself;

the Darkened Hearts within Said Keyblade's creator: Riku, as possessed by Terra (as possessed by Xehanort);

the Morally Dubious heart of Eraqus, hidden within Terra so as to settle its Decades Long Marriage Dispute with Xehanort;

the Hearts within Sora's: his own; Kairi's, the final host of the First X-blade's Light; & Ventus, recovering survivor from Xehanort's LAST attempt at forging a x-blade.

With so many Hearts involved in their creation, all of them Powerful in Light &/or Darkness, it is little wonder that the Twin Nobodies Roxas and Naminé are such Magical Powerhouses.

Roxas being able to Dual Wield Keyblades, regardless of how un/entangled he may be with the Hearts of Sora&Ventus or Xion at any given time, seemed to have a simple explanation: Roxas has 1 Keyblade for each Heart he "had", 1 from Sora & 1 from Ventus).

Except... Roxas had a Heart of his own the whole time.

"Roxas only has two hands" is a Valid Point, as is "the 2 Hearts were those of Ventus and Roxas, Sora's Heart was with his Heartless": neither point addresses Roxas retaining his ability to dual-wield keyblades in KH3.

It's Plausible that Roxas is currently capable of dual-wielding keyblades due to his Replica body hosting both the Roxas Heart yeeted from Sora AND at least 1 Data Roxas, as sourced from Data Twilight Town &/or The Garden Of Assemblage (the Secret Boss Room in KH2 which hosts Data copies of the Organization XIII members players defeat).

It seems more likely, however, that these Hearts would "merge" into 1 Roxas: the Hearts (& memories) developed by other Organization XIII members (excluding Xion & Xemnas) seem to have merged or otherwise integrated with those of their Others upon "recompletion".

The Heart (& memories) of Saïx & Axel were inherited by the "recompleted" Isa & Lea.

This seamless integration was likely due to there being no conflicting memories between their time as Nobodies and as [Recompleted Persons], all "parts" having accepted each other as being "one soul".

...something that would ALSO be true for the Roxas within Sora's Heart and any Data Copies of him added to their new Replica body.

So, unless we see Axel Dual-Wielding Keyblades in a future game, the "simple" explanations for why Roxas has that ability are most likely related to the context of his & Naminé's creation, born of sacrifice and all of the [Primordial X-Blade's Light] and [Whatever The Heck Riku Is].

The only other characters seen dual-wielding keyblades are Xion (who was siphoning memories & power from Sora, Riku Replica, & Roxas), Sora (with his Heart Hotel)... and Riku.

Riku, who casually forges new, unique keyblades at will. Riku, whose 1 Heart forged the currently & simultaneously-wielded keyblades of Sora (Kingdom Key), Kairi (Destiny's Embrace) &, potentially, King Mickey (Kingdom Key-D). Riku, whose reaction to his own (also distinct & simultaneously existent) keyblade breaking was "guess I'll summon a new one now" and then DOES THAT, when AQUA needed the miraculous connections she had with 3 other people (all of them in varying states of not-alive) to summon the keyblade BEQUEATHED to her (Master's Defender, the keyblade wielded in-life by Eraqus, and a keyblade inherited by pupils from Masters in a tradition begun by Ephemer after HIS receiving the keyblade from Brain).

Riku, who was used to forge the very Keyblade of Heart that created Roxas & Naminé im the first place!

(Riku is NOT NORMAL, okay? and this was true WELL before he casually became Sora's Dream Eater AND JUST AS CASUALLY CHANGED BACK: for humans, the transformation to "spirit" tends to be FINAL and ONE-WAY)

Other Assorted Oddities:

Sora gained a new body independently from Roxas (or Naminé, in KH1.

Ventus, the "third" Heart credited with the creation of Roxas, had his body VERY safely secured in Castle Oblivion by Aqua and seems utterly unaffected by either Nobody's creation & all subsequent shenanigans.

Kairi had been functioning as her own Nobody for almost the entirery of KH1: this again underscores how ??? Naminé's existence is.

with the exceptions of Goofy and Beast, ALL the characters at Hollow Bastion when Sora "unlocked" himself were probably capable of making Sora a "new" body (together if not individually, in the cases of the Disney Princesses & Kairi). it would have been somewhat out of character for Maleficent or Xehanort's Heartless but Riku is VERY WEIRD and he had some influence with both of them at that time: Riku may have summoned up a new body for Sora in the same way he summons new heart swords. It does, however, seem most likely that Sora's Magical Recompletion was a Joint Effort from the Princesses of Heart (as channeled by Kairi).

Kairi, as a Princess of Heart/Vessel of Light, cannot form a Heartless nor a Nobody: this is something brought up by multiple differently well-informed sources of worldbuilding lore. Naminé CANNOT be Kairi's Nobody: her being a Twin Nobody of Sora, alongside Roxas, makes much more sense even without the Additional Factors of Princess Hearts and Riku's role in turning Said Hearts into a Magic Key Sword that Sora stabbed himself with.

Vanitas???

i am belatedly realising that from a Certain (Very Crack) POV, the way i've described Roxas and Namimé's "birth" kind of mkes them fit the Criterium for being that "Child of Destiny" thing. since 2 of their "parents" (Riku & thus, through Gay Love, Sora) ARE said Child of Destiny. Naminé & Roxas as "Grandchildren of Destiny?"

Naminé's powers over Memory seem more in line with the (implied) capabilities of the Princesses of Heart working collectively than any of them individually: this may be a Plot Point, when the New Seven Lights are assembled, or have already played off in that First, "Doomed" Timeline of KH3's Keyblade War (thus Naminé's presence in the Final World & the weird "death" Kairi had in Timeline 2).

All of the above (crack included) are Additional Complications to the assumption that "Roxas is Sora's Nobody and Naminé is Kairi's".

While all four characters in that equation "agree" with this assumption does mean that it is "true": it does not at all, however, seem to be entire "Truth". ,

After being rescued from the realm of darkness, Aria seeks a way to give Ves a chance at living her own life, while also continuing to survive in her own right. Aqua brings her to the scientists at Radiant Garden to see if they have a solution, and for Aria to explain her situation, but the only option available may carry some worrying implications.. Takes place after the ending of KH3. Content warning for mentions of battle scars, talk of a character being possessed, an event comparable to an exorcism (it’s kind of hard to explain in non-series-specific terms, sorry), and rather a lot of self-insert-focused exposition.

This is a piece I have been working on for a long time, and am very proud of, so I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read it. I hope it isn’t quite as heavy as the content warnings may possibly indicate. I’m also using it as my post for the twenty-ninth day of sapphic September; there’s just one more to go!

The door to the laboratory opened halfway, and a young woman tentatively poked her head around it. Upon seeing that she was not interrupting anything, she smiled and emerged more properly, brushing a lock of blue hair from her face.

“Oh, Master Aqua!” The lone scientist in the room smiled warmly as he noticed her. “Thank you for coming. I’m glad to see you’re alright.”

“Thank you, Ienzo.” Aqua replied, even if she did still in fact look rather tired. The long battle to defeat Master Xehanort and the true Organisation still felt fresh in her mind, and although it was a fight that the light had eventually won, it had still taken quite a toll on her. Not only that, but she hadn’t had the same chance to rest as the others - though thoughts of locating Sora still weighed on everyone’s minds, Aqua had been more concerned with finding a way back into the realm of darkness in order to rescue Aria, her partner who she had so unwillingly abandoned..

Now that Aria was finally free as well, Aqua could let herself relax a bit more, and with that lowering of her guard came much contemplation of everything she had gone through.

“Um.. Master Aqua?”

“Ah!”

She’d been staring off into space again, judging by Ienzo’s worried expression half-visible under his hair.

“Is everything alright?”

“Yes, don’t worry!” she replied, slightly embarrassed at her lapse in concentration. The young scientist did not look entirely convinced, but he seemed content enough to continue.

“I’m the only one here at the moment, but I should still be able to help with what we talked about over the Gummiphone. Did you happen to bring Aria with you?”

At this, the half-open door Aqua had come through continued to swing open as if of its own accord, only to reveal another young woman entering the laboratory with a somewhat nervous expression. She had clearly been through a lot, and the realm of darkness she had reportedly been trapped in for aeons had definitely left its mark on her; several large patches of darkness could be seen spanning her face and body, with one reaching down her left eye like a melting wound.

“Yes, I’m here..”

Her catlike eyes flickered nervously around the room, and it soon became apparent that what Ienzo had thought was a cape were in fact a pair of black feathered wings, both subconsciously curling around her shoulders. It was only upon recognising that Ienzo was the only one present, and that his initial reaction to seeing her was not as negative as she was expecting, that she was able to relax slightly and explain herself from behind a now-steeled facade.

“My name is Aria.” she said, looking up at the scientist from under her messy blonde hair. “Aqua said you might be able to help me achieve something. Has she already.. told you about, well-”

“We’ve already spoken a little bit using the Gummiphone I was given before, but he said it was best for us to come and talk in person to try and get everything clear.” Aqua stepped in after sensing Aria’s hesitation and took her hand to support her partner. “It’s alright - you can trust him,” she whispered close to her ear.

Trusting only in her love’s reassurance, Aria started to explain her intentions to Ienzo, who seemed content to listen even considering the clear presence of darkness she had; this silent gesture of tolerance was greatly appreciated. She appeared hesitant to reveal much of her true nature as a Heartless, but she did what she could to inquire whether the young scientist knew any way for a heart to be released from its current body and inhabit a different one, allowing the dormant self within the original body to reawaken. Unfortunately, Ienzo remained pensive, even after she had said her part.

“So, you’re looking for a way for a heart to enter a new body? I’m sorry, but.. I’m not sure we’ll be able to help you. Any of the resources we could have used - which is to say, the replicas, they would have been perfect for this - were taken by Roxas, Xion, and Naminé’s hearts.”

“Oh. So, there is nothing you can do?” Aria persisted, but Ienzo shook his head.

Then came a flash of hesitant inspiration.

“Unless..” He trailed off and turned to look down one of the corridors leading away from the main lab space. “Could you two come with me, please?”

“Of course!” said Aqua brightly, as Aria nodded in assent.

The three left the main hub of the laboratory to walk down the corridor, which felt as though it was turning downwards into a basement level of sorts. Once there, they came to a tall door which Ienzo unlocked with some sort of biometric scanner, and this opened out into yet another laboratory space with a similar layout to the first - however, this one seemed in a less presentable condition than the other, and its lack of windows seemed to be what was giving it a more foreboding presence. There was a distinct sense that something bad had happened here, once upon a time.

“After you and the other Guardians of Light helped to defeat Master Xehanort,” Ienzo was saying to Aqua, “we went back to the Keyblade Graveyard to see if there was anything to salvage from the battlefield, and we were able to bring this back with us.”

He gestured to a container at the far wall, in which the two Keyblade wielders could now see a strange white figure suspended inside, resembling a featureless mannequin. It appeared to be dressed in some kind of dark robes, of a dull purple colour inlaid with sharp red motifs, worn over pieces of tarnished metal armour. A number of scuffs and dents littered the otherwise-smooth surface, and Aria could sense traces of a dark presence seeping from the container, despite the blank nature of the figure itself.

“What is this..?”

“This is one of the replicas that Even created, back when he was still Vexen, and a member of the first Organisation.” Ienzo explained. “The first twelve were prototypes, initially abandoned as failures, since they were made before his assistant provided the data needed to perfect them, but.. From what I understand, the real Organisation - which Vexen was also a part of at the beginning - repurposed those twelve into vessels for Xehanort’s heart, as backups in case the people they brought through time fell in battle again.”

“That’s right, I remember fighting these now.” muttered Aqua. “But, didn’t they fuse into one form, eventually?”

“That’s what I thought, too, from your accounts of the situation.” replied the scientist. “I’m not sure if Sora defeating the replicas in battle made them all separate out again, since they weren’t really designed to be fused, or if this one was already too damaged to combine with the others in the first place. Regardless, it was the only one we recovered.”

He now turned to face the blank figure with a concerned expression. “We’ve been running some experiments to see whether it can be repurposed for anything, but.. There’s a lot of darkness still lingering within it, so it wouldn’t be safe for a heart of light to inhabit without risking it also being afflicted by that darkness. And we haven’t found a good way of destroying that darkness without compromising the replica, either.”

“I could sense the dark power when I saw it, so corruption would seem a likely outcome.” Aria mused. “This would also be darkness from Xehanort, so.. it isn’t that surprising that some part of it stuck around. Persistence did seem to be his only worthwhile trait.”

She had crossed her arms in contempt at this last part, but seemed satisfied enough to relax after studying the replica further. “It shouldn’t matter any more than he did in the long run, though.”

“Hmm..” Aqua seemed concerned about the prospect, but was trying to keep an open mind. “What do you make of it, Aria?”

“Well..” She took a moment to examine the figure with an unchanging expression. “The replica body itself has sustained some damage from the fight, but I don’t see why that would affect my ability to inhabit it - it’s just possible that those injuries would reflect in my new appearance, which is.. nothing I’m not accustomed to. And, if the heart within a replica determines its appearance, then maybe what’s left of my heart - or, I suppose, the heart that I once was - would be able to smooth over those gaps. Though, if it’s the latter, that could mean my appearance ends up changing, which.. is not what I want.”

Aqua tentatively nodded, but Ienzo seemed more visibly confused.

“I’m sorry to interject, but- what do you mean by “the heart that you once were”? You’re saying that that’s different to your heart, somehow?”

“..In a sense, yes. How do I explain this..?” There was a slight pause as Aria tried to gather her thoughts, and it was clear she was still trying to think by the hesitant nature of her words that followed. She had seen right through to the heart of the man standing before her, which glowed with a newly-restored lustre. It was a heart that sought to help people, and sought knowledge in order to do that, though there were visible flickers of a long-seated regret present as well. Still, it was a heart that she judged would not judge her, so she decided to provide it with the truth she hoped would sate it.

“Though I look mostly human to you, this- isn’t technically my body, however much I treated it as such. If I were to let go of this vessel, or be driven out from her, you would see me as I really am - a Heartless, a flowering thing. However, Heartless are created when a heart is consumed by darkness, so.. surely the appearance I would take if I were to possess a blank replica would be that of the person this heart - my heart - used to belong to. Only, I don’t- I don’t really see myself as him, or as Ves. I am different, I am my own- well, person, if I can even call myself that. Yet, when I imagine my appearance outside of this vessel, I can only see myself as a Heartless. Does that make any sense?”

“I think I follow..” the scientist mumbled, though his still-furrowed brow seemed to indicate otherwise. “So, you kept your memories of who you were, even after turning into a Heartless? Kairi had implied that the same thing happened to Sora, but.. I’d just attributed that to him turning the Keyblade of heart on himself to free her, so it wouldn’t have happened to anyone else.”

This claim caused Aria to shake her head. “To my knowledge, the method is irrelevant; what matters is the intention. The more willingly a person opens their heart to the darkness, the more of their mind they keep when their heart is consumed, and they become a Heartless. I believe this is what happened with Ansem, though he actively sought after darkness so strongly that he retained a human appearance as well as mind. The emblem on his chest was the only way an onlooker could tell his true nature. When it comes to my original self, he was a Keyblade wielder, very similar to what I know of Sora, but… though he certainly did not willingly or deliberately let his heart be consumed, he was able to accept his fate in his final moments, and that is what allowed the Heartless formed at his demise - so, in other words, me - to retain some semblance of mind and self. Just.. not as much of it.”

“Oh. Yes, I think that makes more sense now. Thank you for the clarification.” said Ienzo. He was writing something furiously in a book that seemed to appear out of nowhere, then became startled when he realised his blunder. In an instant, he opened his mouth to ask something, but closed it with relief when Aria’s expression reassured him she did not mind him making notes about her.

It was Aqua’s turn to speak up now. “It’s so interesting to hear about this from you, Aria - but, I can’t say I’ve seen that kind of behaviour in any of the Heartless I’ve fought before. Had you noticed it at any point while we were in the realm of darkness?”

“Not that I can recall.” she replied. “It isn't exactly that common of an occurrence, considering most people’s disdain for the darkness. And, not only that, but..” She turned away from the other two here, and her next words came much more reluctantly again.

“Before I took over Ves, I remember feeling that I was losing myself - all I was driven by was this desire to be complete again, to be human again, but that was fading away over time. Then, when I found her, I didn’t necessarily feel more human, but what sense of humanity I did have was no longer fading away. So, if I hadn’t found her or someone like her in time, I probably would have lost my sense of self completely, and become just as mindless as most other Heartless are. It’s only thanks to the type of Heartless I became that I was even able to possess her in the first place, and.. I didn’t start to truly feel more like a person until I met other Keyblade wielders, and they interacted with me.”

“I see, I see.. So you’re saying that, in those Heartless that retain a sense of who they were before becoming Heartless, the remnants of normal heart behaviour - of humanity, if you will - have to be nurtured by others in order to be sustained, and will just be lost to the darkness if not actively encouraged?”

“Yes.”

Ienzo paused to finish hastily scribbling this knowledge down in his notebook, then lifted his head in realisation once he had had some time to think. “I think I might remember something of that from the old Organisation, actually.. Though, the memory is very hazy..”

To stop his mind from wandering as it wanted to, he returned to address the matter at hand.

“From what you’ve said, Aria, it does sound like you’d be able to make use of this replica - and you may well be the only one who could. I don’t think there’s any other solution here for you, and.. I say there’s no better way to find out than by experimenting. Give me a moment to get everything ready, and then we’ll be set to see if it works!”

Aria nodded, content with the proposal, but Aqua reached out to take her hand with a worried expression.

“Aria, are you sure you want to do this..?”

“Of course I am, Aqua. This is why I came here.” she replied. Then she hesitated again. “..Why, is there something wrong?”

“Well, no, it’s just-” Aqua took a moment to settle her whirling thoughts, holding both of Aria’s hands in her own now. “I don’t know what’s going to happen when I use my Keyblade on you. I don’t want to hurt you, or even destroy you. And, if something happened with the darkness infecting the replica, then..”

Aria couldn’t bring herself to meet Aqua’s gaze, but it was clear she appreciated the consideration, and did her best to reassure her love. “If I could leave of my own accord, I would have done so by now, but.. we’ve become too intertwined for me to do that myself. And Ves is not quite strong enough to drive me out from within - it’s enough of an effort for her to stay existing in the first place. So.. an outside force seems to be the only way to separate us. And there isn’t anyone I’d trust to wield that force, other than you.”

Despite herself, Aqua couldn’t help but smile at the last admission, and she felt her normal confidence returning. “..Alright then. If you’re sure about this, then.. I’m happy to be able to help.”

The two embraced for a moment, then there was a pause of silence as Aria took a few steps back to stand in the middle of the room. Once Ienzo had brought the replica out of its container, he carried it around to the other end of the laboratory, closer to the other two. Aqua summoned her Brightcrest Keyblade, then slowly raised its tip to be level with the X on Aria’s outfit. She took a deep breath, then pointed the Keyblade directly at her partner, echoing the movement used to open the paths to new worlds.

Aria instinctively flinched when a thin beam of bright light shot forward from the tip of Aqua’s Keyblade, striking her directly in the chest. She was then forced down into a kneel as an aura of pink-tinted darkness began to escape from her body. Her expression was grim, as if she was in pain, but Aqua caught sight of a hint of a smile before the darkness now emanating much more rapidly from her form started rising up to create something above her. It almost completely engulfed her body as if to pull it upwards too, seeming particularly concentrated around her head and wings, before disconnecting entirely to drop a drained figure to the floor. This left a dense collection of dark pink wisps, amalgamating in the air.

Ienzo was now well off to the side, looking rather alarmed, but his expression was replaced with complete surprise when the amorphous cluster of darkness coalesced, giving way to what looked like a floating mass of pink petals. Eventually, it turned around to reveal a large jagged mouth and piercing yellow eyes, staring with an expression he found difficult to interpret. The Heartless stayed floating in place for a moment, as if disoriented, then suddenly appeared to notice Aqua, staring at her curiously.

“Aria..?”

Her tentative call was clearly recognised by the flowering monster, which began to float cautiously towards her. She still had her Keyblade summoned, and her hand was trembling ever-so-slightly - whether with nervousness, uncertainty, or something else entirely, it was impossible to tell. Then, Ienzo stepped between the two and lifted up the replica body, hoping that Aria still remembered the plan.

“Here!”

It seemed the Heartless remained aware, as she moved forwards more purposefully after this, and collided directly with the empty vessel’s centre. A few petals scattered from the force, but it took only a few moments for the Heartless’ form to disappear entirely, appearing to be absorbed into the replica body. This caused another aura of darkness to manifest, enveloping the blank surface of the replica and making Ienzo recoil from the body - but it caught itself as it fell from his grasp to end up kneeling on all fours. A few more moments passed, as the darkness engulfed the entire body in a shell, before gradually dissipating after a few gold sparks were seen being forced out of the system.

The figure that stood up was slightly smaller than the replica had looked in the container, with catlike ears now poking upwards from a fluffy head of golden blonde hair. As she lifted her head, a cluster of cute freckles were seen scattered across her face, though in what Aqua thought was a slightly different arrangement than before. There were other little differences here and there, as well - the shape of her face, the way her hair fell at the back, how she stood dressed in the unfamiliar clothes from the replica in the middle of the silent laboratory.

But all of Aqua’s worries disappeared when the girl standing before her opened her eyes. Neither the bright, empty yellow of the lesser, mindless Heartless, nor a piercing orange like the seeker of darkness, nor even the harsh cold shade between the two that Aria’s eyes had been before, but a warm and resolute amber was the colour that met Aqua’s gaze, and regarded her with a renewed sense of gratitude and love.

“Aria!”

The Keyblade Master ran across the room towards her partner and nearly knocked her over with the energy of her emotions. Aria was nervous, but comfortably allowed herself to melt into Aqua’s embrace, now able to feel the connection between the pair even more strongly than before. Something felt so much more tangible about her presence now, and the relief coursing through her new body was enough to bring tears to her eyes.

“Aqua, it really worked..!” she smiled, speaking in a quiet voice filled with gratitude.

“I’m so glad you’re alright!” exclaimed Aqua, who also had a few tears in her eyes. “How do you feel? Is everything okay?”

“Yes, it’s all fine, I promise.” she asserted. “The replica’s darkness was not organised; it was just remnants that my presence has removed. I feel.. different, but in the best possible way. I could never have done this without you here with me - thank you, so much, for being here..”

She trailed off, still smiling at her partner, and another wonderful moment came and went. Then, a movement from behind Aqua caused Aria’s expression to take on a slightly fearful quality, and she turned her head to see what was happening. The cause of this movement was the figure left behind when Aqua set Aria free, who was slowly trying to get to her feet, her heart’s light flickering nervously. A bright green eye could be seen darting anxiously around the room from under her hair, but she was too weak to properly move, and quickly fell back to the ground again. Ienzo stepped in to support her, and his assistance was clearly welcomed as she was just about able to stand.

“Please take her somewhere she can recover.” Aria requested hurriedly. “After everything I put her through, she needs every opportunity she can to rest and adjust to being herself again..”

“Don’t worry. We have good facilities here.” Ienzo assured her. “Everything will be fine.”

This did little to ease Aria’s guilt, but the gesture was nevertheless appreciated. “Thank you, Ienzo.”

The scientist nodded, and then slowly helped the girl walk to the corridor. She appeared to be very shaken, and was glancing at everything with apprehension and unfamiliarity, but as she turned the corner of the corridor, she looked back at the couple still standing side-by-side, and met the eyes of both her saviour and her prison.

(For all that you have done to me, I know why you do not deserve forgiveness.

But, this is not the first time we have seen each other face-to-face since that day, thanks to that mirror you found in the darkness.

And ever since that moment, you have sought a way to free yourself from me. To let me live the life you once denied me. To break the hold that any other being you’d call your kind would do everything to strengthen.

Sora - Crown prince to the Heartkey kingdom and Roxas’s older twin brother. Is the current holder of the family curse and is transformed into a Darkside-eqsue (with anti and rage thrown in for ✨flavor✨) monster. Haven’t decided on how long he’s been cursed for but its enough that he does have lapses in his memory and can lash out (COUGHTHEGETOUTSCENECOUGH) but hes still very much the Sora we love hes just Really Going Through it.

Roxas - Prince to the Heartkey kingdom and Sora’s younger twin brother. Currently a fading glass heart kept safe under a glass dome in the west wing of the castle and in a dream-like state. If he were more aware he’d be a bit more confused about why there’s three other presences in the heart.

It’s nice to meet you. (KH boys x female reader)

Sora would show you to your classes and sit next to you at lunch. He would ask you about your lunch and you told him that you made it yourself. Even the strawberry cake. You would give him a little bit. “Say Ah!” You would say smiling.

He would make sure that you arrive to classes safely and if you have the same class. He would always sit next to you. If he falls asleep during class. He was probably dreaming about you. You would gently shake him and say. “Sora bear wake up.” Usually he would wake up upon hearing your sweet voice.

If he had any troubles at homework or test. He would only want you to teach him. Because you teach him in a different way. He didn’t know why? But, he got better grades if he studied with you. Not only that he loves you being his study buddy. If you helped Yozora too he would try to get your attention. Because you are his study buddy. Not Yozora’s. If you studied with anyone else he wouldn’t mind. Sora secretly has a crush on you and he didn’t want Yozora to take you away. Sora may or may not have a learning disability.

Roxas would show you around and let you join in with his large group of friends. He’s very popular. You wouldn’t be sure,if he was only friends with you just to be more popular. But,you quickly learn that he’s just a nice guy.

Roxas would go great distances just to get your attention. He would spend extra time with his friends. Like Xion or Naminé. But,you wouldn’t care. You would only tell him. “I think that you should focus on your studies.” Or “Roxas you should probably eat your lunch. Otherwise it might get cold.” He wanted to make you jealous. But,it failed every time.

Sometimes you would mix up him and Ven. You would share your lunch with him. “Here! Let’s share this chocolate cake!” You would say smiling. Roxas would push his brother out of the away and share the chocolate cake with you. He would later kindly tell his brother. “Please don’t share cake with (Y/n). Is there anyway that you can buy a sweater? So,we won’t get mixed up.” You still mixed the twins up and pay more attention to Ven. Roxas would switch places with him just to get some attention.

He would be very shy upon meeting you. However, Ven would open up to you. At times he would shyly look at you. He would sit next to you and hide his face in a book. He would beg for you not to notice him. But, you knew that he was there. Sometimes you would look his way and hold his hand. You would always catch him off guard. Just to show him that you care.

Suddenly if he began to act weird. You wouldn’t understand why he wouldn’t talk to you. As much as he used to. So,you would give him his space. Ven didn’t like this and would try better to talk to you. In fact he would try his hardest to get closer to you.

On weekends the two of you would go to the bookstore and look at books. You loved seeing his face light up. When you both of you reach for a book. Ven would back off and shyly look away. You wouldn’t quite understand why? You knew that he was shy. But,still he was extra shy around you. If only he would talk to you the way he did with Naminé. Every time you would run into her. You would leave them be. “I’ll go look at the calendars.” You would say. Ven would try to follow you. But,he didn’t want to be rude to Naminé. If you only knew that he was crushing on you.

Riku wouldn’t want the new student wondering around all alone. So he would show you around. He would tell Sora and Kairi to watch out for you. If someone would try to pick on you. Then Riku would kindly tell them to back off. If they don’t listen then he gets angry.

Being in different grades kinda stinks. At least for Riku it does. You’re so cute that he wants to spend the whole day with you. But,he knows that the age difference puts him in a difficult place. He still walks you home after school and makes sure that you’re safe. You wouldn’t quite understand how he feels about you. But,you thought that Riku is very sweet to you.

When some other guy asks you to the dance he gets worried. So,he kindly ask if he could talk to him. He wanted to know if he only likes you because of your looks. That is usually so. So Riku would talk to him about you. When a guy insists on going out with you. Riku tags along. He cared about you so much. That he didn’t want some loser to look out for you. Because you deserve the best. Someone like him. At times he would try to make a move. Only because Sora would tease him. Riku was just hoping for the day. That you would not see him as an older brother.

Terra would walk you to classes. One day he asked if you would want to play video games. After school. You would say yes. This would end quickly. Because Terra would get annoyed with his siblings Sora and Olette. For some reason they kept asking a lot of questions about you. So instead he would take you downstairs to his family’s restaurant for a snack. Then it was his parents’ turn to ask questions. You weren’t paying attention as they asked these questions.

If you forgot your favorite pen. He would always have a spare. It looked just like yours. He was always prepared if you lost something.

He didn’t like it when some guy tried to take you away. After all he had a huge crush on you. So when he would make sure to question every guy before he got to see you. This is probably because he’s secretly jealous. But,either way your safety comes first.

Vantias thought that you were like the others. Annoying and lame. However one day he got a black eye. You had no idea how he got it. Because you were still new. You thought that he got bullied. So, you brought him to your house. “Keep the ice on.” You would say. He didn’t like it when someone told him to do something. As soon you grabbed his hand and helped him with the ice. He felt something for you.

Vantias would put notes in your locker. All without you knowing. He didn’t want to look weak or scare you away.

One day Vantias heard a popular guy. Talking about you. “(Y/n) is so cool! I think it time for me to...” Before he could finish Vantias grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against a locker. “If you ask (Y/n) out. Then you will regret it quickly! I know what you’re about and what you do to your dates! If you do the same thing to....” Vantias yelled. This guy was known for cheating on his dates. “Vantias? What are you doing?” You asked frowning. He frowned upon hearing your voice. “(Y/n)?” He asked. You must have just walked up to this. Because you didn’t hear his words. Vantias then let go of him and approached you. But,you turned around and walked away. Would you ever talk to him again?

As soon as he saw your face. He knew that his past came back to him. He wanted to start all over. No he had to. There was just so much dramatic things that happened at his last school. He had to change his name and everything about him. But, he still loved you.

You wouldn’t realize that you were looking at your old friend. You didn’t recognize him at all. He would pretend like he was meeting you for the first time. If you would offer to help with homework he would go to your house. Instead of you going over to his. You didn’t need to see photos of him as a child. You would immediately recognize him. He couldn’t let that happen. The reason he moved away was to protect you.

He would walk with you to and from school. After all he had to make sure that nobody tried to harm you. If you got sick. He would get all of your homework and let you use his notes. But,seeing you again made him fall deeper into love with you.
