Hii, I'm new to the Debut or Die fandom and I was wondering if you had any Keunmoon fanfic recommendations? I'm not sure where to start T_T
hi anon welcome to the fandom!
this is based off of the assumption that you want only looking for fics in english and only keunmoon (there's other eng fics out there where there's more than one pairing) I realy don't know how far you've read into the novel so beware of spoilers! Sorry!
SFW reccs:
your simple loving (it’s everything) by beewithouthoney: 5+1 fluffy fic with slight angst (because of moondae ofc) it's such a cute fic honestly it warms my heart.
Fear of losing you by Cupiko: This fic is based on chapter 240 of the novel. Basically them trying to fix their miscommunication problem and ends up being soft imo.
The truth and the kiss afterwards by Cupiko: The title is self-explanatory, Moondae tells Keunse the truth about him not being the real Moondae and Keunse believes him.
I haven't read any Debut or Die fics in postype lately, so I can't give any recommendations on any kr fics, sorry ^^;
I hope you enjoy^^

Situated in the quiet Tacay road was a comely, little school. In the middle of the fog that kisses the ground, it stands with a mystifying aura. No witchcraft can be found in there, but Keunmoon English School certainly has magic.
Started in 2011, KES is officially recognized by The Immigration Bureau (BID) under the Philippine government and authorized by TESDA under the Ministry of Education as an educational program provider for the English language. An affiliate of BESA, it holds pride as one of the few legitimate international English schools operating in Baguio. You may verify the legitimacy of schools by comparing their current address and school permit address.
It has a curriculum continually developed by researchers to provide a unique, comprehensive, and personalized learning materials for a better learning experience. In fact, the curriculum can be adjusted to suit the needs of the students. This allows students to choose the system of learning that they think is best for them.
The learning system at Keunmoon is chiefly done one on one, but it also has group classes comprised of four (4) students at most. The entire school can accommodate a maximum number of twenty (20) enrollees, each to experience equal facilities and offerings.
Here is a quick link to its programs.
Aside from its excellent program, it must be noted that they also provide fine accommodation ensuring your comfort in your life in Baguio. The school may be small but built with hotel-like convenience partnered with conducive learning spaces, access to wireless internet, and panoramic restaurant. It all fits in the cold climate of Baguio city similar to autumn in Korea which is favorable to one’s learning.
KES bears a slogan ‘Your Bridge to Global Interaction’ that guarantees the student’s future as abled individuals to step into the international scene through imparting competitive English skills.
How the slogan was formed rooted from the name of the school itself; that is where the magic lies.
Everyone might say that the word Keunmoon is an acronym that summarizes what the school can offer. Here is a refresher:
Keen Knowledge in English Effective Teaching/ Learning Methods Unparalleled Motivation to Help Networking of English Skills through constant Communication More English-Learning Related Activities Outstanding Teachers and Tutors Organized Learning Programs New Building and Convenient Facilities
Cool, isn’t it? As a matter of fact, it holds a deeper meaning than that.
Keunmoon can actually be translated as ‘Big Gate’ which implies ‘Welcome’.
The metaphor in the name shows off that the school is open to everyone, and by ‘everyone’ it transcends that the barriers of age, politics, culture, and nationalities. In fact, because of the same principle, Keunmoon stands with Baguio English Learning Association.
The quality of education in KES is at par with the other affiliate schools, but what makes it more interesting is that it’s managed by only one person. This is a good factor in choosing the school for the transactions are done in a more casual approach, including all the inquiries and concerns of interested enrollees and students. Your convenience is assured for that hands-on person is the owner, Keunmoon Moonsun Kim.
Yes, the school was named after the owner. That is the last bean to spill today, but it doesn’t mean the magic has run out. You must discover all of it on your own, and just in case you’ve been hit with interest, here’s how to contact Keunmoon English School.
Telephone Number: 074-445-6478
Email Address: [email protected]
Official Website: www.keunmoon.com
Campus Address: Keunmoon Bldg. 34 Tacay Road Upper Quezon Hill Baguio City
There’s something magical about this school’s name and you should know it Situated in the quiet Tacay road was a comely, little school. In the middle of the fog that kisses the ground, it stands with a mystifying aura.

Debut or Die fanfic recommendation
I love this author for making yummy keunse angst but this fic has been on my mind a lot so let me introduce to you....
Regressor Keunse and status window Moondae fic!
Moondae ends up dying from the system and then Keunse became a regressor, however Keunse was the only one that remembers Moondae. Moondae tries to help Keunse through the system.
its pretty spoiler free since its an au so don't worry about being spoiled if you haven't finished the part 1 of the novel
trigger warnings: character death and implied suicide. but it doesn't go deep into these topics.

thanks for all your translations, i didn't know you wrote fics too! do you have any dmj fic recs? 🥹
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the tls and i don't really post my writing publicly (unless someone asks)
For the dmj fic recs I don't know if you want a specific pairing or if you have notp but here's some that I like that is sfw for the ones on AO3:
(Though I'm sure you already have read these before)
I must debut (or die) by xinya: No pairing and it has the testar cast and Heeseung! (I love when Heeseung shows up in fics) I don't know why, but i like seeing aus of 'what if moondae failed' (it's pretty obvious since the last time i recommended a fic it was keunmoon angst where moondae failed) there's angst and found family and it's pretty lengthy too. There's also a sequel called "closest thing to family" which is pretty lengthy as well.
Vacation by Turacoverdin: Basically Chungwoo taking care of a sick Moondae since we all know Moondae gets sick during vacation. I really love the characterization and the humor here.
Write Me, Sweetly! by Melfrise: THIS IS SO FUNNY. I love this so much and its pretty lengthy too for a one shot. Its a pure crack fic and i love how silly this one is. Normally I don't like it when fics makes characters ooc but when its tagged 'crack' or 'crack treated seriously' I let it slide.
윈터플라워 (Winter Flower) by Mishamoonberry: omg I remember when oomf posted a wip for this fic I was so excited because I LOVEEEE angst. especially Chungwoo angst. (PLEASE SUPPORT MISHA. I LOVE YOU.) Chungwoo-centric character study based on the daydream arc aka the car accident in his perspective. so beware of spoilers but this is just soo yummy.
Treadmill by opheliaveu: A short Cheongryeo-centric character study fic that reflects more on his actions. I love the characterization for him in this drabble.
can you reach me? by twelveinhorror: another awesome fic made by oomf! this is a post-canon fic so it takes place after the main story ends. This is a Cheongryeo x Moondae (eotmoon) fic and the author characterizes both of them so well. Doing justice on writing post-canon Cheongryeo.
人類之春 (Spring of Humanity[?]) by xiuxiu_17: The original language is in Mandarin(? correct me if I'm wrong please) but mtl is readable. This is a Cha Eugene x Ryu Chungwoo fic because I love my rarepairs and it's an Alien Stage au.
I have some other dmj ao3 fics that i like but the post is already getting too long...
(don't ask me about sfw postype recs... i havent read any lately. You can probably scroll through my Twitter whenever I talk about some.)

ARRIVAL IN THE PHILIPPINES
Here are some reminders and guidelines once you have arrived in the Philippines
INSIDE THE AIRPORT – Follow these procedures once inside the airport:
Fill out the Disembarkation Form they give you on the plane or from the ground staff as soon as you disembark the plane.
Proceed to the immigration counter for passport inspection and validation. Line up to the “visitor” window at immigration
Present your passport, return ticket, the Letter of Admittance (LOA) issued by your academy, your academy’s Accreditation to Accept Foreign Students, and the Disembarkation Form to the Immigration officer and prepare to answer some questions.
Don’t be nervous and don’t worry if they ask you some questions. That is normal to foreigners going in another country.
Frequently asked questions are as follows:
What is your purpose here in the Philippines?
Answer: Study English for ___ months.
Where are you going?
Answer: I will go to Baguio City.
Remember: If the immigration officer asks for proof that you are going to study English in the Philippines, do not hesitate to show your LOA and your Academy’s Accreditation to Accept Foreign Students. Present it together with your return ticket.
After the immigration check, proceed to the baggage claim area. Each conveyer belt has a flight information board over it. Also, there are baggage carts available free of charge.
After claiming your baggage, give your Baggage Declaration Form to the customs examiner. Be sure your bags are ready for inspection.
Before finally leaving the customs area, a customs officer stationed at the exit gate will collect your Baggage Declaration Form and/or gate pass.
Next, you will enter the arrival lobby. Some guards will probably collect your baggage tags here. Also in the arrival lobby, there is a money changer if you would like to change your dollars to peso.
VISA – Here is a brief explanation of your VISA
30-day VISA free
VISA free – certain nationalities from different countries can enter the country without the need of applying for a VISA. Depending on their nationality they can stay up to 30 days in the Philippines.
Here are some nationalities of students with free 30-day VISA:
· South Korea · Japan · Thailand · Saudi Arabia · Vietnam · Mongolia · Colombia · Spain
59-day VISA – Some nationalities, regardless of being able to avail of the 30-day free VISA, are still able to apply for a 59-day VISA. Please check that if you have a 59-day VISA, make sure that the VISA stamp also has the correct duration.
Some nationalities are required to have a VISA before entering the Philippines. Students from China and Taiwan are required to have a VISA before being able to enter the country. Most common to these Nationalities have a 59-day VISA.
The following are examples of 59-day VISAs
Vietnamese National with 59-day VISA
Taiwanese National with pre-arranged 59-day VISA
Chinese National with pre-arranged 59-Day Visa
Check your VISA after going through the immigration process. Check if the immigration officer put the correct arrival and duration of your VISA.
If you applied for a 59-day VISA, check if the duration stamped by the immigration officer is correct.
If there are any concerns or problems with your VISA duration, immediately ask help from the Immigration officer that checked your Passport or show your Passport and VISA stamp to the BESA pick-up staff.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS WHEN GOING TO THE MEETING AREA
Wait only in the designated meeting areas in order to meet with the BESA pick-up team. Diagrams and pictures of the designated meeting areas will be provided at the end of this guide.
If you arrive before your scheduled pick-up time, you can pass the time somewhere other than the meeting areas. Just keep in mind to go to any of the designated meeting areas to meet the pick-up team during your scheduled pick-up.
If you arrive during your scheduled pick-up time, meet with the pick-up team FIRST before going to other places (Smoking, Buying food, etc.), unless it is an emergency. This is to make sure that you have taken your scheduled flight and have not canceled your pick-up.
If you are lost or need help, talk only to airport security personnel, these people are usually wearing security guard or police uniforms.
BESA Pick-up staff will never charge you or ask for any payment during the pick-up service. Payments for the pick-up service will be done at your individual school. Do not follow anybody who will ask money from you for their help.
When asking for directions from airport personnel to the meeting areas, just ask for directions going to the designated meeting area. Do not ask them to guide you, show you around or borrow their phones. Remember to be polite in asking.
If you have Philippine Peso, you can buy a SIM card and a calling card at the information center or at the nearest store inside the airport. Just follow the steps in using the call card. Once you have a SIM and calling card you can ask the vendor to help you in contacting the BESA staff.
If you do not have any money to buy a SIM or a calling card, there are available money exchangers in the airport. If you need any assistance, approach airport security personnel, who are roaming around. Remember to be polite in asking.
Unless it is an emergency, do not leave the Airport area without meeting or contacting any of the BESA pick-up staff first.
MEETING WITH THE BESA PICK-UP TEAM
BESA will have a small team waiting at a designated area in the airport (a diagram is provided for you to check on where to meet them).
The BESA pick-up team will have a list of students who are arriving and they usually hold a placard or banner with the BESA logo. If you see one of them, just approach them and check if your name is on the pick-up list.
BESA Pick-up Staff Uniform
BESA Placard and Banner
If you arrived at the meeting place and there is no pick-up staff yet. Just wait patiently, the pick-up is on their way to the meeting area and will be there within the designated pick-up time.
Once you meet with the BESA pick-up staff:
Show your passport to the BESA pick-up personnel so they can check your arrival stamp to avoid any problems later on.
Please be patient to wait for other arriving students as we cannot avoid problems with regards to the delay of flights, immigration check, and baggage claim.
The Airport has designated smoking areas. If you want to smoke while waiting for other students, please inform the pick-up staff first.
If you cannot locate the pick-up group or if you encountered any problem with your passport or baggage, please be in touch with the contact numbers on the next pages.
If you arrived at the meeting place and there is no pick-up staff yet. Just wait patiently, the pick-up is on their way to the meeting area and will be there within the designated pick-up time.
WAITING TIMES AND DEPARTURE
After meeting with the pick-up team, you will depart for Baguio depending on your designated pick-up time. The pickup group can leave for Baguio once all other students for the pick-up time have been met.
Once you have met with the Pick-up team, please wait patiently for other students.
The BESA pick-up team will also pick-up other students from other schools who will also go to Baguio City. These other students will be located at the different airport terminals.
Once all students for the designated pick-up time have been met, then the group can depart to Baguio City.
The Pick-up transportation will go from each airport terminal to pick-up the other students.
Reminders while waiting to depart to Baguio city:
Other students who joined the pick-up service will also be arriving at different times. Please wait for them patiently.
While waiting for other students, you can go buy snacks. You might not be able to eat something once the bus departs for Baguio. Inform the staff if you want to go buy something. Also be reminded that the group can depart anytime, so return to the meeting area promptly.
When riding the transportation for the pick-up service, please make room for other students who might join the transportation.
Be considerate of the other students who will join the pick-up service. You are not the only student who joined the BESA pick-up service.
It takes at least 5-6 hours to travel from Manila to Baguio.
