Day 17: D&D Alignment Chart
I was so relieved I finished this I almost forgot I also have to post it. This was a hard one, I had to really comb through my brain for who fit what that wasn't already a D&D character.

Bark bark Greater dog swung his sword making sure to miss sho soul and putting an end to her twin once and for all alphys puts sho soul back metaton shocked her to wake her up
Sho:Huh?! Dr alphys guys your okay
Dr alphys:Well those that i managed to get out are yes thanks to you Sho
Sho ran to bokuto
Sho:Ko are you hurt
Bokuto:Not at all are you okay though are you hurt
Sho:I'll live i think silly skeleton
Bokuto:Your silly skeleton
Sho:Right lets go home guys and yams i hope you are in a better place i forgive you
Live ends
Iwaizumi:That was a lot
Kita:Yams is dead sho is alive kind of
Sho is online
Sho:No i am alive
Everyone: Sho where are you
Sho:Well after the events of what you just saw i found a way of getting everyone to the surface so i am home yams is dead when we fell in to the underground i fell on golden leave she fell on the hard ground and died on impact i I survived because I had to leave still cushion my fall.
Kenma:Makes scene its like in the game you fall then you wake up on a pile of golden leave then you mean a flower that tells you
Sho:It's kill or be killed yeah he's an asshole
Tori:Flowers talk
Sho:Oh yeah it wasn't really a flower he was the Prince who for some reason turned into a flower by the humans Honestly it's a long weird ass story The only other flowers that talk of echo flowers someone has to talk near them and they echo back what was said
Akaashi:So if Someone told their friends a secret or a hopes and dreams these flowers will pick up on it and then echo it back won't be much of a secret then
Sho:Very true they should learn to pick the spots better that don't have echo flowers
Spent the rest of the day hanging out sho even introduced into some of the monsters that she's been living with and everyone became good friends and the monsters learnt that humans aren't as bad as they first thought but as the generations got older they've kind of evolved from when they were barricaded underground

A Few Doors Down
Kenma Kozume x Reader
Day 14: Delivery
25 Days of Ficmas Masterlist
WC: 1,000+
If stress baking was a sin, you would’ve just booked your first-class ticket to hell. What can you say? It’s been a very rough week filled with assignments and unpredictable detours in the rocky off dirt road of life you were currently driving. Long story short your apartment is now filled Wall-to-wall with all sorts of cookies, cakes, and even a few pies. Knowing that stress baking should not mean that you consume every product you end up creating, you decide to do something festive.
You gently wrap up the assorted baked goods with some seasonal cellophane and decide to deliver them to your friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else who you think really could use a pick me up.
After taking most of the day to deliver them, pretty much everything is gone safe for one last beautiful looking apple pie you were planning on delivering to your neighbor who lives a few units down from you.
You only know a few things about him, one he’s quiet but not on friendly when you see him I was collecting his mail he always gives you a soft smile, two he has some very loud friends who like to come by and tease him often, and three, you are fairly sure you have a major crush on him.
This crush that you have developed has made you somewhere servant when it comes to him. You’ve noticed that you’ve only ever seen him out and about later in the day, especially at night. Assuming that he likes to sleep in, you wanted to deliver the pie to him later tonight.
As you wait for a more reasonable hour for delivery, you clean up the absolute mess of your kitchen, put a new load of laundry in the washer, and spend some time getting yourself a little too dolled up for a pie delivery. However, you convinced yourself you just wanted to look nice for no real reason in particular. Sometimes you really should stop lying to yourself.
At long last, you feel that it is high time to deliver the pie. Gathering all the courage you have you make your way out of your apartment to walk over to his unit a few doors down. The reflections of his multi-colored LED lights are seen slowly changing through the window which must mean he is at home.
As you get up to his large metal front door, you knock Tentatively and wait. As you hold a dessert in your hands, you start to be plagued with worry.
“ What if he doesn’t like pie?“
“What if he has no idea who you are and thinks you’re a creep or a stocker?”
“What if he already has a partner
"What if they answer the door instead of him?“
You begin to panic quietly as your thoughts get the best of you. Your stomach is feeling pangs as if the butterflies in your belly are trying to escape To the safety of your apartment, you’re starting to think maybe you should go as well.
As your nerves take the upper hand, you start to think this was a bad idea. You did knock quietly, maybe he didn’t hear it. Believing that to be the case you start to turn to head home only for him to open the door.
“Hello?” he says as he scans you with his golden catlike gaze as you try to regain your composure taking a good look at the man before you.
His two-toned hair is half up in a man bun and he is wearing an old t-shirt that must be from his high school, dark-colored sweat pants, and mismatched socks with cats on them.
“Uhh… Hi,” you stammer out as you hold out the pie for him to take awkwardly as if you are a high schooler handing a love letter to your crush.
“Is this for me?” he asks, looking surprised as he takes the pie and unwraps the foil. The fresh scent fills the air as he smiles at you.
“Yeah, I did a little too much baking today,” you say with a cute smile, the cold air forming a large cloud of condensation that Kenma notices.
“Y/n, would you like to come inside?” he asks, opening his door a bit wider “it's cold out here.”
You didn't even know he knew your name. This is turning out better than you could’ve hoped you nod and head inside into his warm apartment. As you sit down in his kitchen you notice how nice some of his furniture is, everything looks new and surprisingly clean, It doesn't look like the homes of other guys your age. You are so busy taking in the warmth and the sights that you don't notice him place the pie on the table along with some plates and cutlery.
“Apple pie is my favorite,” he says softly in his wonderful voice.
“Really? I was worried you wouldn't like it,” you tell him earnestly.
“W-would you like to stay for a slice, I can make tea?” he asks. If you were a bit more confident you would have noticed that he stammered that last part out. But you didn't so you give him a smile and a nod.
He turns around and starts to heat up the kettle hiding the pink blush that appeared on his face. As it goes away he turns around. You can see his face. His eyes are wide in alarm as if he just remembered something.
“I’ll be back in just a second,” he says suddenly as he turns heel walking down the hallway to what can only be his bedroom based on the layout of your apartment.
Kenma curses under his breath as he looks at the chats from his ongoing live stream, as soon as he saw you at his front door, he forgot all about it. With a quick apology, he ends his stream promising to reschedule for another time before heading back to spend time with you, the cute neighbor he has been crushing on ever since you moved in a few doors down.

Atsumu:
- He’d watch one of his friends’ girlfriend kiss him on his forehead. He’d be curious of what it feels like.
- But mans too prideful to ask you upfront so he’d give you subtle hints.
- You couldn’t catch on because his hints were so vague. he’d literally just expose his forehead more and you’d just fawn over him, not taking the hint. cuz mans smexy af 😩😩
- Would get irritaded pretty soon when you still didn’t give him a forehead kiss and comes to whining.
- “Baaaaabbbyyyyyyy! Give m’ atteeenntiooonnn!” Would stomp his feet 🥺
- You’d look at him so done and flick his forehead.
- “That good enough?” You raised an eyebrow at him. trying not to laugh
- Would defo pout. babie 🥺🥺🥺🥺. But he’d come up with an idea.
- “Kiss it better.” He’d secretly smirk at you.
- “Do I have to?” You deadpanned.
- “Atone fer yer sins, ya witch!”
- Would shove his forehead in your face.
- You’d cup his cheeks, bringing your lips to his forehead, placing a gentle and soft kiss on it, smiling yourself cuz it felt good to you too.
- Mans is in paradise.
- Feels his stomach do flips as he blushes profusely.
- Does not care if you see him blush.
- Would jump on you. pls 💀✋
- “FELT SO GOOD! PLEASE DO THAT ALL THE TIME, BABE!!”
- Would leave kisses all over your face as a reward.
- You’re 10x more flustered than him now istg- 😃❓
Osamu:
- Onigiri Miya would be in bed, sleeping peacefully.
- It’d be like 9 in the morning and he’d still be sleeping. honestly, same 💀✋
- You’d wake up before him and stare at his bootiful bootiful face for a while before reaching up to caress his cheek.
- These movements would make him stir in his sleep.
- You’d halt your movement’s, not wanting to wake him up.
- But he still did.
- “Mm..mornin’ babe.” oml his raspy voice- 😫😩 “Morning, Samu”
- Would place his hand on top of yours which is on his cheek and stare deepy into your eyes which are filled with love.
- “Do a look that good in the mornin’?” He teased.
- “You have no idea.”
- Would chuckle and pull you closer.
- Your heart swelled at the thought of you guys being like this for the rest of your lives.
- “Osamu…”
- He’d look at you a bit confused as you took his face in your hands, caressing his cheeks.
- You’d pull him down a little, pressing a soft kiss filled with pure love and affection on his forehead.
- His eyes widened as he felt his insides fuzzing up.
- “Love you, ‘Samu.”
- You’d just fall back asleep with your lips on his forehead.
- Mans heart was rlly racing.
- Wouldn’t know what to do. All he knew was that he was red.
- Mans almost has a nosebleed
- Would have to get up, eventually.
- Places a kiss on your head before tucking you in.
- Prepares you breakfast in bed.
- Osamu husband material 😩✋
Oikawa:
- You’d do it infront of all his fangirls.
- Many of them deemed you unworthy of being Oikawa’s girlfriend. Of course you didn’t care about their opinion cuz Oikawa’s opinion’s the only one that really mattered.
- But you were tired of them trying to steal him away from you.
- So you were about to show them who’s boss 😤✋
- You and Oikawa were walking, hand in hand.
- You saw a swarm of his fangirls approaching you.
- Jackpot.
- “Tooru?”
- As soon as he turned to look at you, you pulled him down by his arm with one hand and with the other, you cupped his left cheek and placed a tender kiss on his forehead.
- Now- My mans really tuff and cocky.
- But.
- As soon as you did this when his guard was down, he turned red so fast.
- “B-b-baby?!” Would not move you but will squeal and try to cover his face.
- You’d chuckle and let go of him, looking him in the eyes with pure love and determination.
- “Wh-What was that for?” He’d ask, peeking from his hands.
- “Nothing much. Just wanted to see how you’d react.” You shrugged as he turned even redder.
- “Tooru- you’re gonna faint.”
- “DON’T LOOK!”
- Would kiss you just so you’d not look at him.
- Mans is extra flustered but will ask you to do it again so he could relive the blissful feeling again.
- his fangirls: 🧍🏻♀️

♡ bc you’re smol you can slip into his lap while he plays on his switch and since he can just peer over your shoulder, he lets you
♡ also bc you are so - in his own words - compact..he kinda goes a bit rough on you bc he doesn’t know his own strength sometimes
♡ like he comes back from practise - having just bet up lev who’s like double his height, then pretends as though he’s the gentlest, most cuddly guy alive
♡ for instance, if you sit on his lap while he’s doing something important, he’ll push you off but bc he is quite strong and you’re quite small, you literally go flying across the room
♡ he also like the fact that he can place his chin on top of your head while hunched over
♡ bc his posture is horrible which means that most ppl are up to his nose when he’s standing comfortably (and by comfortably i mean when his back is lookin like the letter c)
♡ but not you though bb
♡ he can rest his chin on your head WHILE messing up his back so thanks 💞
♡ also this is kinda unrelated but he probably enjoys seeing you cosplay as some of his favourite characters that are around your height
♡ idk he just seems like that sorta guy lol
♡ probably likes it when y’all get dirty in cosplay too yk
♡ and he constantly compares you to anime characters/ video game characters then makes comments accordingly lol
♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
upon feeling kenma’s eyes momentarily shift from his nintendo switch onto you, your immediate response was to meet his gaze, shooting him a brief smile which quickly fell into frown upon hearing his following statement, “you’re around the same height as meliodas from seven deadly sins.”
you blinked rapidly, about to shrug him off and go back to whatever you were doing under you heard a “disgusting.” slip from his lips..so pounced on him.
“KENMA! YOU CAN’T JUST CALL ME DISGUSTING BECAUSE I’M A SIMILAR HEIGHT TO AN ANIME CHARACTER YOU DON’T LIKE! DON’T YOU HAVE AN--” to which kenma will just laugh and pretend like he’s trying to pry you off him when he’s actually really enjoying the feeling of you on top of him.
yū nishinoya
♡ he is the short king™
♡ so he’s honestly so happy that not only does he get to be in the presence of his soulmate, but you’re also shorter than him 😍
♡ and i think having a shorter s/o would really help him with his body image
♡ sorry to get serious on y’all so quick but i kinda think noya is secretly VERY insecure
♡ he just has a ‘fake it till you make it’ sort of attitude in regards to his confidence
♡ but having a shorter s/o - especially if you’re really powerful, strong, confident or outspoken - would really give him an ego boost bc not only is he like ‘yep! that’s my star!’ but also everything you do is just so impressive to him
♡ also since you’re around the same height as him, sometimes he forgets that he can’t just jump on you and expect for you to hold his weight like he does with asahi, tanaka, tsukishima etc
♡ so now you’re always on hyperalert when you pick him up from practise just in case he tackles you to the ground again
♡ it’s happened multiple times even when you were paying close attention though so i’d suggest just wearing a helmet next itme
♡ YJUHGFF he’s definitely the sort of guy to hype you up to his friends after you do the bare minimum
♡ and he ALWAYS mentions your height unless you tell him to stop
♡ (he just wants his friends to know that just bc they are vertically gifted, they are no better than you or him >:(( keep em humble, yk? )
♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
“yep! they’re getting their photo taken at this professional modelling company thingy with all those cool, chunky camera and the bright lights! they’re basically a model- and a few inches smaller than me so, perhaps short is the new sexy.” noya boasted with a casual shrug, feeding off of the amazing looks he was getting from hinata, tanaka and yamaguchi.
upon noticing that yamaguchi was falling for nishinoya’s exaggerations, tsukishima chimed in, “short is definitely not the new sexy.” and before nishinoya could retort, tsukki hummed, “anyway, model, huh? what brand are they modelling for?”
noya’s lips curled into a bright smile and he clicked his tongue, almost to say ‘glad you asked’, before declaring proudly, “their passport!”
kōtarō bokuto
♡ another one that doesn’t know his own strength
♡ especially around you
♡ like he squeezes you SO tight when hugging that you basically suffocate
♡ and his grip on your hand is always unreasonably strong too so never let him hold your dominant hand or else you won’t be able to hold a pencil for another week
♡ and sometimes he pinches your cheek when he thinks you look especially babey and jesus christ he could leave a bruise
♡ god forbid you’re watching him practise and he makes a killer spike then he turns to look at you with starry eyes--
♡ ...
♡ RUN 🏃♂️💨
♡ mans will chase you around the whole gym to pick you up and twirl you to celebrate his spike
♡ the problem occurs when he holds you so close to him that you suffocate from his reek of BO
♡ he spins so fast that it makes you feel extremely sick and dizzy
♡ ALSO let’s not forget that one time he accidently let go of you a few seconds to early and you went fucking flying across the gym and landed on onaga’s water bottle
♡ not only did you have to awkwardly hobble to the bathroom with soaking wet leggings so you could change into your spare pair, you also felt obliged to buy onaga a new water bottle
♡ if you tell him to be gentler plz do it nicely or else he will be sad :((
♡ yeah he treats you like you’re his 7″0, ripped, basketball player s/o but you’re not
♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
why were you here? why did you think this was a good idea to say yes to? oh, yeah, it because he gave those adorable damn puppy eyes that you are physically incapable of saying no to. on the bright side, perhaps he can use those puppy eyes to get you a free hearse driver for your funeral - which was sure to be soon.
through, your funeral planning was cut sort by bokuto chirping, “are you ready, babe?!”
you sighed, arms outstretched as he stood with his back facing you, ready to trust fall onto you once you gave the ‘ok’. or so you thought.
“yeah, bo. go o--” you couldn’t even finish your sentence before you felt bokuto’s muscular back suddenly weigh down on your arm. you tried to hold him up, - you really did - but both the surprise of it and his weight was enough to make you come crashing down with him.
“(y/n)! you had one job!”
tōru oikawa
♡ you’re his baby
♡ or at least, he treats you like one sometimes
♡ he says he treats you like a prince(ss) but everyone knows that he acts like you’re his first born child
♡ bc he literally carries you everywhere
♡ taking a brisk stroll on the beach? oikawa will force you to get on his back and use the excuse that he doesn’t want your clothes to get dirty
♡ you’re in the mall and you even suggest that your feet are sore/ you’re tired? he’ll carry you bridal style anywhere you want to go - literally does not care if people are giving him weird looks
♡ drunk? he’ll throw you over his shoulder and carry you home
♡ just chilling on the couch? he’ll approach you, scoop you up into his arms and walk around the house
♡ it annoys you sometimes but it can really come in handy other times
♡ like for instance, at a festival
♡ if you both get stuck at the back and you’re struggling to see the stage bc of all the literal giants looming in front of you, he’ll let you hop on his shoulders 🥺
♡ he probably teases you for it though lol
♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥
“awh, can the small one not see the stage?”
you furrowed your brows, outstretching your arms to him - probably the first time you ever actually asked him to pick you up, so you prayed that he'd take you up on your first offer without you having to beg. “yeah, can you help?”
this oikawa you’re talking to; the petty king. so instead, he gave you some solemn advice before turning his attention back onto the performance, “try growing a few inches-- who am i kidding? a few feet.”
“rude.” you spat, fretfully looking around for a moment before coming to terms with the fact you’re not going to be able to see the performer, so you decided to just try vibe with the music instead.
“(y/n).” you heard oikawa call from beside you, so you turn your head to look at him then noticed that he was crouched on the ground, “what are you waiting for? get on.”

‘You free this weekend?’ you read the text off of your phone. You groggily glance at the time, which read 3:33 AM.
‘Depends.’ you respond back to Kuroo. Two and a half weeks had passed since the last job he worked, meaning it had been two and half weeks since you had seen him and discussed your suspicions about your father.
‘Friend of mine is throwing a party. Karasuno Killers are gonna be there.’ Kuroo replies. Your pulse quickens, remembering the conversation you and Kuroo had about your brother and his racing team.
‘I’ll be there.’ you pause before hitting send, questioning if the action you were tempted to make was a good idea. ‘Are you free rn?’ you type, pressing send and locking your phone, setting it down next to you as you stared up at the ceiling. Your heart raced at even the thought of Kuroo, of the idea of being in his presence alone again.
Your phone lit up seconds later. ‘Be there in 15.’ You can feel yourself blushing, and you can’t stop the grin that spread across your face.
You practically jump out of bed, changing into something casual. A flash of red catches your eye, and you grab Kuroo’s jacket, draping it over your shoulders. You sit back down in bed, impatiently waiting for Kuroo to text you.
After what felt like an eternity, you finally got a text from him. ‘Here princess.’ You smirk at the use of the nickname, you were starting to get used to hearing him call you princess, and you couldn’t deny the fact that you liked it.
Moving quietly through the house, you quickly peer over to your father’s office to see if the lights were on. Long work nights were common with him, the only downside being that the computer with access to the security cameras was in that office. Lucky for you, he seemed to be asleep upstairs, so that was one less thing to worry about.
“Hey there.” Kuroo’s deep voice practically echoed through the quiet night, and you quickly shush him as you lock the front door. He laughs, holding the car door open for you. He shuts it behind you and goes around to his side, climbing in and starting the car.
“So, where to?” He asks, turning to you, his elbow resting against the center console, a huge grin spread across his face.
“Anywhere.” You say, anxious to get away from your house, away from your father. It gave you chills thinking about your brother and the connections that were beginning to form, with your father only a few feet away at times. You tried your hardest to act as normal as possible around him, but you knew that eventually he would catch on to your sudden change in behavior.
“Are you hungry?” Kuroo asks, pulling out his phone and unlocking it. You take a peek at his lock screen, and see a photo of a black cat staring back at you.
You shrug. “I could eat.” You say, causing Kuroo to chuckle.
“I know the perfect place.” He says, calling someone. “Hey Haiba, you guys still open?” He pauses as the person named Haiba responds. “Perfect. I’ll be there in 20. Save a table for two.” He pauses yet again. “No you ass, not for Kenma. I’m bringing a girl.” He says, hanging up the phone.
You laugh at the interaction between them, looking over at Kuroo as he pulls out of the driveway and through the neighborhood. Kuroo glances over at you, smirking when he realizes you were already looking. You quickly look away, staring ahead intensely.
“You look cute in my jacket.” He says.
“Does that mean I get to keep it?” You ask playfully, smiling sweetly at him. He laughs, a big grin on his face.
“I’ll tell you what. You can keep it, but I will need to borrow it from time to time for races. Fair?” He says, holding a hand out for you to shake as he keeps the other on the wheel.
“Sounds good to me.” You say, grabbing his hand and shaking it. Your fingers graze over the callouses and scars on his knuckles, and you turn his hand over to examine them.
“Just some work related injuries.” He jokes, squeezing your hand.
“These are from working for my dad?” You ask, your voice quiet, almost out of shame.
“Yeah.” He responds. You couldn’t hide the painful expression on your face and Kuroo quickly took notice of it. “Nothing to worry about though, princess. I’m tougher than I look, I promise.” He says, winking. Kuroo brings your hand to his lips, placing a soft kiss, making your heart skip a beat and your cheeks glow red.
He lets go of your hand to switch gears as you enter the city. There are no shops that appear to be open and no one on the street. Kuroo slows down, pulling into a parking lot.
“It doesn’t look like anything’s open.” You state as Kuroo gets out of the car.
“Looks can be deceiving.” He says, shutting his car door. You let yourself out, closing the door behind you and turning towards him. He takes your hand and leads you to a small shop with a sign that reads “Haiba Ramen”. From the outside it had looked as though it was closed, but as soon as Kuroo swung the door open, you realized it was anything but.
There were plenty of people in there, almost all of them wearing racing jackets of different colors, the style similar to Kuroo’s. The smell of ramen was strong and welcoming, your hunger growing as you entered the shop.
“DK!” You hear someone call out. The patrons of the ramen shop all turn their heads to look at the both of you, and you were met by a chorus of greetings.
“Someone’s popular.” You quietly comment to him as he leads you to a table away from the crowds.
“Haiba’s part of Nekoma Crew, part time mechanic, part time ramen shop owner. He’s better at cooking than fixing cars though.” Kuroo motions towards the other patrons in the shop. “These are all racers. The store is closed to the public at 10, but stays open for friends and racers until 5. Me and the team usually have our meetings and get togethers here.”
“Well who else would let you fuckers in this late at night?” A tall guy with silver hair says, placing two waters on the table. Kuroo gets up to greet him.
“We’re eternally grateful Lev.” Kuroo jokes, giving Lev a half hug. Lev rolls his eyes as Kuroo sits back down.
“Hi.” You say shyly, giving a small wave to Lev, who smiled down at you.
“You must be…(y/n).” Lev says holding a hand out for you to shake.
You scrunch your eyebrows together, shaking his hand. “Uh, how do you know my name?” You ask skeptically, curious as to how he already knew you.
“DK won’t stop talking about you at the shop. Sometimes it’s like he can’t shut up about you.” Lev smirks, looking over at Kuroo. You look at Kuroo with a face of fake shock, grinning from ear to ear. You see his ears growing red as he avoids your gaze.
“Your tip is rapidly decreasing the longer this conversation goes on for.” Kuroo says, making you laugh. Lev scoffs, mockingly putting his hands up.
“Alright, alright. I wouldn’t want to third wheel on your date any longer anyways. Now, what would you two love birds like to eat?”
Kuroo sighs, putting his face in his hands in distress. The entire exchange made you laugh, getting to see Kuroo as a normal guy instead of a mob henchman was refreshing. Friends, not colleagues. Race cars, not drugs. Not to mention, it gives you butterflies thinking about the fact he talks about you to his crew.
“Surprise me.” You say, catching Lev’s attention. “Make me whatever you think I’d like. Or whatever you feel like making. I promise I’ll eat anything.” Lev grins brightly, turning towards Kuroo.
“I like her. Don’t screw this up!” Lev calls out to Kuroo as he walks away to the kitchen to start on whatever it was he would choose to serve you.
“So you talk about me, huh?” You say, smirking at Kuroo.
“Maybe.” He says, cheekily grinning at you. “You don’t talk about me to your friends?”
“I...don’t have friends.” You say, shrugging. “In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t really leave the house much.”
“You don’t have any friends?” Kuroo asks, a puzzled expression on his face.
“Nope.” You say, taking a sip of your water. “I mean, I had friends in high school. But I sort of drifted away from them after graduation and after my brother died.”
Kuroo nods, knowing that your brother’s death was a touchy topic. “Well, you have to have someone to talk to. Someone you consider a friend.” He says, diverting the conversation away from the dark and depressing stuff.
You thought to yourself for a second, trying to think of a person you found yourself spending time with and talking to, or even someone that you enjoy being around. “You.” You answer, smiling at Kuroo. “You’re kinda the only person I ever talk to.”
Kuroo smiles back at you, letting out a small chuckle. “I’m honored, princess.” Kuroo takes your hand in his, planting another gentle kiss on the top of your hand, making you blush.
“Are you usually up this late?” You ask, getting curious about Kuroo and his life away from you and your family.
He shrugs, rubbing small circles along your knuckles. “Some nights, if I have a job or if I’m working on something with Kenma. Tonight I just happened to get a text from a friend about the party this weekend, I thought it’d be a good way for you to get in contact with Karasuno.”
“Who’s party is it?”
“A good friend of mine, Kotarou Bokuto. He’s the leader of Fukurodani Squad, his racing name is Blackjack.” Kuroo answers.
“Is he…” You pause, wondering the best way to ask if Bokuto’s a criminal.
“No.” Kuroo says before you can finish your sentence. “He’s just a racer. Him and his crew are pretty well known internationally, so all his income comes from his shop. He’s...just a really good guy. Not a bad bone in his body.”
“Oh, so you do have normal friends.” You say sarcastically.
“Well, Fukurodani and Karasuno are the normal teams. They don’t do the shady stuff. Seijoh Brawlers and Nekoma Crew are pretty similar, since only me and Oikawa do the jobs. Kenma gets involved every once and awhile, but it's rare. Inarizaki though, they’re literally all drug dealers. Drug dealers who happen to also be racers.” Kuroo explains.
“That would explain why Kita doesn’t have a fancy jacket.” You say, remembering the plain black hoodie he wore the last time you saw him. “So it’s just you, Oikawa, and Kita doing the shady stuff?”
“Yeah, mainly just us. I promise not all racers are big bad guys.” Kuroo jokes to you.
“You’re not a bad guy.” You say, squeezing his hand gently. “You’re just...someone who works for a bad guy. Bad guy adjacent.” You smile at him, knowing that one of the things that held Kuroo back from pursuing anything with you was the fact he saw himself as the villain. The truth was, maybe the both of you were just bad guy adjacent — not necessarily the villains, but stuck being attached to the bad.
Kuroo gives you a sad smile, squeezing your hand back. “I guess that’s better than being the evil genius.” You knew exactly who he was talking about, who the evil genius was in this morbid epic that is your life. The mastermind, the puppeteer, the dark hand behind the curtain. Your father. It was a hard pill to swallow, but it was one that you had to, which you and Kuroo both knew. An unspoken acknowledgement of the fact that sooner or later, you would have to face your demons — that regardless of what, or who, they are — Kuroo would be right there beside you.
Your moment with Kuroo was interrupted by Lev, walking out of the kitchen carrying a plate and a bowl. “Bon appetit love birds.” He says, placing a bowl of ramen in front of Kuroo and a plate of chicken wings in front of you.
“Thanks Lev. Put it on the shop’s tab.” Kuroo says, digging into his ramen.
“Thanks Lev.” You say, smiling and picking up a chicken wing. It was still steaming, hot and fresh from the fryer.
“I hope you two enjoy. DK, you gonna be at Blackjack’s party this Saturday?” Lev asks, turning towards Kuroo.
“Yeah, we’ll be there. Do you know who the party’s for?” Kuroo asks, picking up a soft boiled egg from his ramen and eating it.
Lev shrugs, throwing a kitchen towel over his shoulder. “No clue. That guy just throws parties for the hell of it. I’ll see you both there!” He says, walking back towards the kitchen.
You take a bite of the chicken wing, and you instantly understand why Kuroo said he was a great cook. “Holy shit.” You say, looking over at Kuroo.
Kuroo peers over at you with a mouth full of noodles. “I know.” He says, mouth stuffed to the brim. He finishes chewing and wipes his mouth with a napkin. “A guy on my crew named Yamamoto always gets them. Same with Bokuto.”
“It seems like you know everyone in Tokyo.” You say, digging into your big plate of wings. Lev also left you a small bowl of rice as well as a cup of miso soup, which you also began digging into.
Kuroo laughs, picking up more noodles from his bowl. “If they race, I know them.”
“It also seems like everyone knows you.” You say, thinking back to when you first entered the shop, and all the greetings Kuroo was met with.
“Well, everyone kinda does. Y’know a title like Drift King isn’t just given to anyone.” He says, smirking at you. You roll your eyes at his arrogance.
“How lucky am I to be sharing a meal with the great Drift King.” You say jokingly. Kuroo places his chopsticks down, looking across the table at you.
“Is this not a date?” He asks seriously, eyebrows furrowed. You practically choke on your chicken, which you place down on the table. After wiping your hands on a napkin, you look at Kuroo, who was still staring at you intensely.
“Was it supposed to be?” You ask shyly, unsure if the miscommunication was on your end or his.
“Well, I kind of assumed, you asked if I was free. Now we’re eating a meal together. You never really fight it when people talk to us like a couple.” Kuroo says, fidgeting with his spoon that laid in the broth of his ramen.
You pause for a second, thinking over what he just said. You avert his gaze, staring into your miso soup which had begun to settle and separate. “Did you...want this to be a date?” You ask, looking up at him skeptically.
“I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to it being a date.” He answers carefully, but with a tone of confidence. “But, if you don’t want it to be, that’s fine.” He says quickly, trying to avoid a bad mood shift between the two of you.
You pondered again over what he said, and what it would mean for the two of you. Is a relationship the right thing to get into with everything going on? Would it even be appropriate for the two of you to be together?
“This is a date.” You say, your heart pounding away anxiously as you look into Kuroo’s hypnotizing hazel eyes. He grins proudly at you, all feelings of anxiety going away as soon as you confirmed that this was, in fact, a date. “But, it is just a date. It doesn’t mean anything...specific.”
He shrugs, picking his chopsticks up to continue eating. “That’s fair. No worries, princess. I’m in no rush here.”
You smile to yourself, content with the conclusion that you and Kuroo came to. “Thanks. I just don’t think I’m ready for anything serious right now. With everything going on with my dad.” You say, knowing that this was something Kuroo already knew.
“Yeah, I get it. Bigger fish to fry right now. It’s not like I’m going anywhere.” He says, winking at you.
The two of you had continued to eat in silence, occupied with the delicious food in front of you. At one point, Kuroo had placed a small bundle of noodles into a spoon of broth, holding it out for you.
“Aw, for me?” You say, leaning over to take the bite. The ramen was perfect, apparently everything Lev made was incredible.
“What kind of guy doesn’t share his food with his beautiful date?” He says, making you smile.
“I guess that means you deserve a chicken wing.” You say playfully, placing a wing in the empty bowl that once held your miso soup. “You should feel special, I really don’t share my food.”
The two of you had finished your meals in silence, simply enjoying one another’s company. It feels as though this small outing was a break from the reality you both dread — rather than playing detective or operating within a gang, you were just a couple out on a date.
“We better come back here one of these days.” You say, stacking your empty dishes up. You and Kuroo had finished everything, full and happy, now starting to get sleepy. The other racers in the shop had already left, and you could hear Lev cleaning in the kitchen.
“Fine by me. As long as you still consider it a date.” Kuroo says, getting up from his seat and stretching. You get up as well, and Kuroo holds out a hand for you to take, which you do. Walking alongside him with his hand in yours, you grab onto his arm with your other hand, feeling especially affectionate towards him.
“See you later Haiba!” Kuroo calls out as the two of you exit the shop, the cool night air breezing past your face, waking you up.
You let go of Kuroo’s hand to open up your car door, and Kuroo walks around to his side and climbs in. As he turns on the car, the clock reads 5:05 AM.
“It’s pretty late.” You comment, realizing how tired you had gotten. You lay your head against the car seat, turning your head to look at Kuroo.
“Yeah, I know. Do you wanna go home now?” He asks, turning towards you to see your drooping eyelids.
“Hmmm… not just yet. How about you drop me off when the sun comes up?” You ask sleepily.
“Whatever you want princess.” Kuroo says quietly, starting the car. You rest your eyes as Kuroo begins driving off, feeling content as you drift off to the sound of Kuroo switching gears. You never thought that you’d ever be comfortable enough to fall asleep in someone’s car, given how paranoid your brother’s death had made you. But with Kuroo, you were just so at home, so trusting of him. You almost couldn’t believe that before your first job with Kuroo, you just saw him as the hot guy who worked for your dad.
Before you knew it, you were being gently awoken by Kuroo, the sun beginning to peak over the horizon. You didn’t recognize your surroundings, but you weren’t at all worried. There was never anything to worry about if Kuroo was with you.
“Where are we?” You ask, looking around. It appeared as though Kuroo took you to a park, a bit away from the city.
“We had some time to kill, I figured you’d want to see the sunrise.” He says, unbuckling his seat belt and turning to look out to the horizon. You do the same, sitting up in your seat and rubbing the sleep from your eyes.
After a few moments, you recognize the park Kuroo took you to. “When I was younger, my mom would take me and my brother here.” You say, memories coming back to you. You thought it was strange, how everything seemed to be leading back to your brother lately. It almost felt like a sign.
“I used to come here a lot too, with Kenma. Maybe we ran into each other once.” Kuroo says, leaning against the armrest. You gently lay your head against his shoulder, wrapping both of your arms around his.
“What a coincidence that we ended up here.” You say softly, relishing the moment between the two of you. The sun’s rays were barely peeking over the horizon, giving the sky an orange glow. There was a decent amount of overcast, so it gave the sun a softness to it. It was as though the sky was still drowsy, unprepared to make its first appearance for the day.
“No place I’d rather be.” Kuroo says, barely louder than a whisper. He tenderly places a kiss on the top of your head, staying there for a second longer than expected.
You slowly move your head up to look at him, your faces closer than they have ever been before. At this distance, you could really study the features on his beautiful face, the dark bags under his eyes from one too many late nights, the small scar on his cheek that was most likely from a job gone wrong, his dark lashes that framed the striking hazel eyes that now stared directly into your own.
You thought about all the other people that had stared into the same set of eyes you were now gazing into — all the women who knew him intimately, the friends who saw the good in him, the enemies who saw the evil, those whose last moments were spent looking down the barrel of a gun into these hazel eyes. To them, it probably felt like staring into the gates of hell, but for you, it felt like home. Kuroo felt like home.
His lips slowly graze against yours, almost tentative, trying to read the situation as it happens in real time. A simple ask, a gentle whisper of a question against your lips, inquiring if this was okay.
In a surge of confidence, your lips crash against his, urgency in your kiss, borderline desperation. Had you been pining for Kuroo all this time? More importantly, was he?
His hand gently made its way up to your face, as yours snaked behind his neck, pulling him closer. His other hand moved underneath his jacket that you wore, wrapping around your waist. You felt the calluses on his fingertips, rough against the smooth skin of your lower back.
The sun began beaming into the car, bringing the both of you into the light. It felt euphoric, being bathed in morning sun as you kissed Kuroo. Your heart raced in excitement as you felt Kuroo smile against your lips, and you gently sigh as he pulls away to look into your eyes.
He grins at you, his eyes studying every detail of your face. You smile back at him, feeling pure bliss.
“You kinda taste like chicken wings.” Kuroo says, chuckling softly. He gently runs his thumb against your cheek, admiring your face.
You close your eyes, shaking your head at his stupid comment. You laugh, realizing that the goofiness, the silly jokes and banter that you and Kuroo share is the reason why there were never any doubts in your mind with him. Kuroo could make you laugh despite all the darkness in your life, and that is what made you feel the way you felt. Maybe it was love, but maybe it was too soon to tell. Maybe being the girl in the passenger seat was enough for you at this time.
“Well you taste like ramen.” You say, your voice hoarse.
“What a pair we make.” Kuroo says, placing one last tender kiss on your lips.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Sweetheart, come here for a moment.” You hear your father call out to you from the hallway. You let yourself into his office, and find Kuroo sitting in the chair in front of his desk.
“What’s going on?” You ask tentatively, sitting next to Kuroo.
“Your dad has some questions. About us.” Kuroo says.
“Us?” You question, looking at Kuroo. He wore a poker face perfectly, staring directly at your father with an unwavering gaze.
“I know you two are getting close. And (y/n), sweetheart, you know I trust you. And Tetsurou, you have earned my trust over the years with your loyalty to this family. I just need to know what exactly is happening with you two.” Your father says.
“We’re friends.” You say quickly, crossing your arms defensively.
“Friends?” Kuroo asks, breaking his cool demeanor to look over at you. Your father raises an eyebrow, looking between you and Kuroo curiously as you try to figure out what this relationship is.
“Maybe more than friends. Someday. Not right this moment. But a strong maybe.” You answer shortly, fumbling over your words.
“I see.” Your father sees, nodding his head. “Are you two...being safe?”
“Dad!” You say, embarrassed by this interrogation.
“Yes, sir. Well, there hasn’t been anything that requires...safety, but when it does — IF! If it does, we will be safe. You have my word.” Kuroo says. You could hear his nerves getting the best of him, and you couldn’t help but find it entertaining how scared he sounds as he practically word vomits to your father.
“Good.” Your father says shortly, awkwardly adjusting in his seat. “Now, for business...I don’t know if I’m okay with (y/n) being seen with you.”
“What?” You ask, raising an eyebrow.
“Our family is a moving target for a lot of people, especially the Nohebi Clan. I don’t know if it’s the best idea for the two of you to be going out in public.”
“I understand, sir.” Kuroo says, in his eyes you could see his disappointment.
“Dad, that’s ridiculous.” You say, getting fed up with the passivity of the conversation. “I’m going to be leading the Sakanoshita family one day. I’m a target no matter what. But no one will take me seriously when I do take over if I’m locked away all the time. People need to know me. They need to know who’s going to be the next King of Tokyo.”
“But you just had your first job. You’re jumping into this too quickly.” Your father argues.
“Keishin had years of training. I’m playing a game of catch up here, and I think the more experience I have, the better. I can’t run an empire from the confines of this house, dad.” Again, playing the dead brother card. It’s a tricky one to play, but it always works.
Your father sighs, folding his hands in front of him. “You sure know how to argue.”
“I learned from the best.” You say, smirking.
“I’ll make a deal with you.” Your father turns toward Kuroo. “You’re getting a promotion. You’re now (y/n)’s bodyguard. She goes somewhere, you follow. If she wants to go somewhere that is potentially dangerous, don’t allow it. And you.” He turns back towards you once more. “You don’t go anywhere without him. You can go out, be social, earn your place here as a Sakanoshita. Let people learn who’s the next King of Tokyo.”
You grin, knowing that you would be able to reach an agreement with your father. “Sounds like a deal. Kuroo and I will be going to a party this Saturday.”
As you proudly saunter out of your father’s office, he calls out a question. “What party?”
“Racer party. Gotta make sure everyone knows the new Sakanoshita boss.” You call out, walking out the door and down the hallway, leaving Kuroo and your father to their business meeting.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You could hear the party before you could see it, the music blasting so loud it could be heard from down the street. Even this far from the house, there were already cars parked along the side, all shiny and suped up like Kuroo’s. A lot of time had passed since your last real social outing, but you were at ease knowing Kuroo would be there with you.
“Just a fair warning, Bokuto is...very loud.” Kuroo says, slowly driving past all the cars and making his way to the driveway of the house. The house was very modern, with a long driveway leading up to a white home with a balcony in the front, huge windows letting you peek in to see all the people inside. The music continued to grow louder and louder as you drew closer to the house, and the cars got nicer as well. Apparently only the people with fancy cars got the good parking spots.
“How loud are we talking?” You ask Kuroo as he puts the car in park and turns the engine off.
“Like...imagine the exact polar opposite of Kenma. Then make it louder. That’s Bokuto.” Kuroo explains as he gets out of the car. You do the same, walking over to his side and grabbing his hand. The two of you walk up the stairs to the door, and Kuroo swings it open without knocking. And just like that, you were officially at your first street racer party.
“Hey, it’s DK!” You hear someone shout distantly, followed by a chorus of greetings. It was just like the ramen shop, everyone being so quick to greet Kuroo.
“Hey everyone.” Kuroo says loudly, greeting everyone at once. He pulls your hand so you’re standing in front of him, leading the way into the party. Everyone gawks at you as Kuroo places a hand on your waist, coaxing you to walk further into the house.
“Does everyone know you? Should I start getting used to that sort of greeting?” You ask, maneuvering your way through the crowd.
Kuroo laughs, giving your belt loop a tug and pulling you into him, your back crashing into his strong chest. “Eventually people will start saying DK and (y/n).” He says into your ear, kissing you on the cheek. You smirk at his comment, a part of you enjoyed the attention everyone was giving you as Kuroo held you against his body. He really knew every way to feed into your ego, and you really did love it.
“HEY HEY HEY! IS THAT MY BOY DK?!” you hear a loud, chaotic voice say from the kitchen. You and Kuroo turn your heads to find the source, and you see a tall, muscular guy with spiky grey hair grinning at the both of you. You notice the grey bomber jacket he wore, meaning that he was a racer like Kuroo and Oikawa. His appearance was a bit intimidating, and his features were almost...owl-like.
“BOKUTO!” Kuroo yells, letting go of your hand to greet the host of the party. The two tall, well built men embrace in a hug, clapping each other on the back. You stand there, smiling at this new side of Kuroo. You understood what he meant by Bokuto making him feel more normal.
“Good to see you dude! Hey, Lev mentioned you were bringing a girl! Where is she?!” Bokuto asks excitedly, looking around to try and spot you.
“Right here.” You answer, moving to stand next to Kuroo. “I’m (y/n). And I’m assuming you’re the infamous Bokuto?”
Bokuto laughs, throwing his head back. “Infamous, eh? That must mean DK’s been talking about me.”
“I figured I should warn her on what she’d be walking into.” Kuroo says slyly, wrapping an arm around you. You found it endearing how affectionate Kuroo acts with you, making sure to keep you close.
“Glad I didn’t scare ya away.” Bokuto jokes, grinning at you. “Well, DK here is like a brother to me, so by extension that makes you family. Both of you just make yourselves right at home, drink whatever you want and let me know if you need anything. Mi casa es su casa, as Cypher would say. Well, he probably wouldn’t say that, but it’s definitely Spanish.”
You laugh, smiling up at Bokuto. Kuroo was right, he really is just a genuinely nice guy. Bokuto was a refreshing change from the usual dark and scary stuff that you and Kuroo dealt with.
“Say, speaking of Cypher, where is the punk?” Kuroo asks, looking around.
“Upstairs with the rest of the Brawlers. Your guys are out back. Say, you guys want anything to drink?” Bokuto asks, turning to the counter full of liquor.
“None for me. Gotta make sure someone gets home safe.” Kuroo says, squeezing your shoulder.
“Well look at you being all chivalrous!” Bokuto says, playfully punching Kuroo’s arm. “Anything for you, (y/n)?”
“Sure, I’ll drink whatever.” You say, unsure of what to ask for. High school parties were one thing, but what the hell are you supposed to drink at a street racer’s party?
“One mystery drink coming right up.” Bokuto says, turning around. “Akaashi!”
A handsome guy with short dark brown hair turns at the sound of his name. “Can you make a drink for (y/n) pretty please?” Bokuto asks, grinning at him. Akaashi nods, putting his cup down and picking up an empty one for you. He pours some random bottles of liquor and some more random juices into a cup, handing it to you.
“Thanks.” You say, taking the cup. You take a sip, and to your surprise, it wasn’t disgusting.
“Akaashi’s kinda the drink expert. And car expert. He’s kinda good at everything.” Bokuto says, noticing your look of amazement. Akaashi rolls his eyes behind him, but you notice his ears flushing red at Bokuto’s compliment. “I’m gonna go be a good host and do my host thing, but I’ll find you two later!” Bokuto turns away from the both of you, walking towards the crowd of people outside.
“Oh and DK!” Bokuto calls out loudly, making plenty of people turn towards Kuroo. “I’m glad to see you’re finally off the market! No more bachelor’s life for you!”
“Bachelor’s life?” You question, looking up at him skeptically. Prying eyes peered over at the two of you, no doubt trying to sneak a peek at the great DK and the girl that took him off the market.
“Don’t worry about it.” He answers, rubbing the back of his neck and avoiding eye contact. Of course he was a lady’s man before you, just look at him. But just how many girls were in your place before you got there?
Kuroo takes your hand, leading you upstairs to where Cypher was. The two of you found him lounging on a couch with a bunch of other guys wearing jackets similar to his, talking and laughing with a bottle of expensive looking tequila in his hand.
“Hola amigo.” Kuroo says in a mocking tone, sitting next to Cypher. You sit next to Kuroo, and he puts his arm around you possessively.
“Hola lovers.” Oikawa slurs, lazily placing an arm around Kuroo. “Good to see you didn’t scare princesa away.” He says, nodding to you.
“You’re (y/n).” You hear someone say from the opposite end of the couch. You turn your head to see a guy with tan skin and short spiky brown hair staring at you.
“Uh, yeah.” You say, caught off guard by how many people already knew you. Seriously, how often did Kuroo talk about you?
“Oh, sorry.” He says, appearing to snap himself out of deep thought. “Cypher was telling us about the last job and mentioned you. Just put two and two together. I’m Iwaizumi.” He says, getting up and extending a hand to you. You shake his hand, smiling at him.
“That’s right, I was telling a story! Now, as I was saying…” Oikawa continues on, recounting the events of the job that you accompanied them on, silver tequila sloshing around in the glass bottle as Oikawa wildly gestures with his hands as the story progresses.
“So Sly Fox had the cargo the entire time?” Iwaizumi asks, looking at us skeptically.
“The entire time.” Kuroo says, nodding. “Speaking of the Sly Fox, where is he?”
“Outside with your crew.” a scary looking guy with deep set eyes answers. His hair looked very unique, a bleach blonde buzz cut with two black stripes running around his head.
“Thanks Mad Dog.” Kuroo says, getting up, dragging you with him. “Cypher, let’s go. Got some work talk to do with Sly Fox.” Oikawa clumsily gets up, taking the tequila with him.
The three of you walk down the stairs and out the backdoor, where you immediately see a group of guys sitting around a fire pit, half of them wearing black, and the other half wearing Nekoma bombers.
“Sly Fox!” Kuroo calls out, getting Kita’s attention. He looks up from his rolling tray, blunt in hand. “We got some business to talk about. You too, Snake Eyes.” He says, pointing at Kenma.
Kita nods, looking over at his guys and motioning for them to leave the area. Kuroo does the same, and the Nekoma Crew minus Kenma leave. You, Oikawa, and Kuroo each take a seat around the fire.
“What are we talking about?” Kenma asks, looking over at you and Kuroo. Kita continues to roll, and Oikawa slouches in his seat, taking sips from his bottle.
“Yeah, what are we talking about fellas?!” Bokuto says with a grin on his face, walking up to the group of you and grabbing a seat. You couldn’t help but smile at his behavior, his charisma.
“Work stuff, Bokuto.” Kuroo answers, giving Bokuto a warning look.
“Oh! Got it! Say no more, plausible deniability and all that jazz. You guys let me know if you need me!” He says, getting up immediately and walking away with haste. The entire time the grin on his face never wavered, he didn’t seem the least bit offended by being kicked out of the conversation.
“Bokuto knows the stuff we do, but we keep him out of it. He’s...a bit soft for our line of work. And he knows if he hears anything, he could get in trouble. So, he stays away.” Kita explains, licking his rolling paper and sealing the blunt.
“We got some new intel from the boss.” Kuroo says. Oikawa sits up, paying attention now that the real business talk had started. “We may know who gave the anonymous tip during the last job.”
“Someone we know?” Kenma asks.
Kuroo nods. “Suguru Daishou. Fangs. He’s the lead for the Nohebi Clan.”
“Nohebi?” You ask. Everyone looks over at you. “They used to work for my dad.”
“What happened to them?” Kita asks, lighting his blunt and getting it started.
“Daishou crossed my family, I guess he was trying to make a name for himself by taking on my dad. Didn’t end well.” You say, remembering overhearing your father’s work conversations with Fangs when you were in high school.
“Which would explain the grudge he has, and why he tried to bust us.” Kenma says.
“But how would he know about the move? There were no other cars on the road that night.” Oikawa points out, setting his bottle down.
“That’s the million dollar question. We still don’t know how he knew, but we do know he has eyes on us. Which means you guys and your teams need to be careful, at least until the Daishou problem is sorted out. Sound good?” Kuroo asks, looking at Oikawa and Kita. They both nod, understanding the risk that the Nohebi Clan posed.
“I’ll see what I can find out about Fangs and Nohebi.” Kenma says, which Kuroo nods to.
“Thank you. The more we know, the better.” Kuroo glances at you, meeting your eyes. “Any of you guys know where Karasuno Killers are?” He asks, looking around the group.
“Upstairs living room. You got business with them?” Oikawa asks, looking over at you.
“Something like that.” Kuroo says, taking your hand and standing up. “We’ll catch you guys later.”
“See ya.” You say, giving a half wave with your cup in your hand. You follow behind Kuroo, once again going through the house and up the stairs. You were keenly aware of the eyes that seemed to follow your every move, and you couldn’t help but notice that they were almost entirely female. What, was Kuroo such a hot commodity that you being with him tonight was a headline?
“See that, you pulled the E brake too soon.” You hear someone say from the partially shut door. You and Kuroo had made it to the room that Oikawa said the Karasuno Killers were in.
“You guys watch racing footage at parties?” Kuroo questions, slowly opening the door. Inside, there were three guys sitting on a couch in front of a TV that appeared to be playing a video of a street race.
“Not everyone is blessed with your drifting skills, DK.” One of the guys say, getting up to greet him. He had a warm smile, dark brown eyes, and short brown hair. Him and Kuroo give each other one of those bro hugs, and afterwards he turns to look at you.
“I don’t think we’ve met.” He says, extending his hand to you. “Daichi Sawamura. Mechanic for Karasuno Killers.”
“(y/n) Sakanoshita.” You say, shaking his hand. He raises his eyebrows slightly at surprise, no doubt at the mention of your family name.
“Sakanoshita?” Another guy with a buzzcut and a gruff voice says from behind Daichi.
“As in the King of Tokyo Sakanoshita?!” The third guy says, his voice higher in pitch. He wore his brown hair spiked up, with a single blonde streak right in the middle.
“Please excuse these two dumbasses, they’re not the best socially.” Daichi smiles apologetically, moving to invite you and Kuroo to join them on the couch. Behind you, Kuroo shuts the door.
“You said you’re a Sakanoshita?” The buzzcut one repeats, staring at you intensely.
“Tanaka, chill.” Daichi warns, looking over at him.
“Yeah Tanaka, you’re gonna scare her away.” The guy with the blonde streak jokes, punching Tanaka in the arm.
“Oh shut it, Noya.” Tanaka says, shoving him back. “Sorry. My sister knew someone with that last name.” He says, looking over at you once more.
“You’re Saeko’s brother?” You ask him, getting his attention. He looks surprised, almost a little scared by his sister’s name being mentioned.
“How do you know my sister?” He asks, his voice taking on a threatening tone.
“Yeah, what’s your business with big sis?” Noya asks, eyes darting between you and Kuroo.
“Take it easy, guys. We mean no harm, I swear it on my crew.” Kuroo says in a peaceful tone. Tanaka and Noya lighten up, but continue to stare at you skeptically.
“Keishin Ukai was my brother.” You say, causing the three men from Karasuno to sit straight up, simply from the mention of his name. “I know he dated your sister, and I want to talk to her.”
“No one talks to big sis. Especially not strangers.” Noya says, leaning back against the couch.
“You’re Black Lungs’ sister?” Daichi asks, looking at you with curiosity.
“Yeah. He raced under the name Ukai to get away from my family. And I know about the accident. I’m sorry Tanaka.” You say sincerely, looking at Tanaka. You didn’t know to what extent Saeko was injured, but you assumed that she had to have taken some amount of damage.
Tanaka shrugs, looking away. “It’s all good. Why do you need to talk to my sister?”
“I need to know the truth about my brother. About how he died. And I heard that your sister and my brother were pretty close, I just want to talk to her about him.” You say, nearly begging.
Tanaka sat for a second, thinking of a response. “My sister...she doesn’t talk to many people nowadays. She hasn’t been the same since your brother passed. Black Lung was her soulmate, or whatever.” He says awkwardly, shifting in his seat. “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to put her through reliving that night just for your sake. I really am sorry, (y/n), about your brother. He was a cool dude.”
You sigh, taking a long drink from your cup. You had a feeling it would go like this, but you couldn’t help feeling disappointed by the outcome.
“We think we know the truth about his death.” Kuroo says, making everyone in the room look at him. “We know it wasn’t an accident.” You knew he was taking a risk saying this, telling these guys the suspicions you held. He was gamlbing with the only intel the two of you had.
“What do you mean the truth? His death was a tragic accident and that’s that.” Daichi says in an assertive tone.
“Daichi, it’s okay.” Tanaka says quietly, his eyes not moving from your own. “You two know the truth? Or just theories?” He questions you.
“We...have theories. But I think that talking to your sister will help point us in the right direction. Or maybe even give us exactly what we need to prove our theories.” You say, trying your hardest to convince Tanaka.
Tanaka sighs, looking at the TV, which remained paused on a frame of an orange Mitsubishi. “I don’t know.”
“No one knows you.” Noya points out, getting your attention. “You don’t belong to any crew, I know you’re here with DK but you aren’t officially a part of Nekoma. Everyone knows your dad is a shady dude. And Saeko shouldn’t have to relive Black Lung’s death for a stranger.”
“You’re right.” You say, knowing that everything he was saying was correct. You were a stranger, the idea of a dead street racer’s little sister suddenly coming out of hiding to ask a thousand questions about her brother’s death was far fetched, even for you. “You guys have no reason to trust me, or to let me talk to Saeko. But I’m desperate. I just — I need to know what happened to my brother. I’ll do anything.”
“What do you think Saeko would want? What would she have (y/n) do to prove herself?” Kuroo asks.
“I know exactly what she would want.” Tanaka says, sighing and sitting up. “A race. A memorial for Black Lung. We haven’t had one for a while, but the last time she had one, all the money raised from it went to...a memorial fund. For your brother.”
“A memorial fund? For Keishin?” You question, uncertain why the son of a millionaire needed a memorial fund.
“It goes to Saeko. Helps keep the shop open, and funds her research into what happened to your brother.” Daichi answers.
“So I’m not the only one with theories.” You say, beginning to understand. “I’m assuming it goes to P.I.’s, buying access to private files, stuff like that?”
“We can neither confirm nor deny that.” Noya says in a robotic tone, like it was a line he was taught to say.
“If we do the memorial race, who’s racing?” Kuroo asks, changing the topic.
“Me.” You answer immediately, making everyone look at you in shock. “A Black Lung memorial race, with his little sister making her racing debut. It could be big. Raise a lot of money. I know the type of power my family name has in this city.”
“And it would prove to Saeko that you’re serious about meeting her.” Daichi points out.
“Okay, how about this.” Tanaka says, shifting in his seat once more. “You and me, headline race. If we can get some more racers in on this, then great. If you win, you can meet Saeko. If you don’t, then oh well. At least she’ll get some more funds for her...side project.”
“I can get some more racers in on this.” Kuroo says.
“Perfect. We got a deal, you two?” Daichi asks, looking between you and Tanaka. You nod, sticking your hand out.
“Deal.” Tanaka says, shaking your hand.
“Looks like we got a race to plan.” Daichi says, grinning at Kuroo.
Kuroo smirks, getting up. “I’ll go start recruiting some more racers.”
You follow Kuroo, getting up and heading for the door. “I’ll see you on the road, cue ball.” You say, smirking at Tanaka. You slowly head out, leaving the door cracked open.
“HA! CUE BALL! Get it, cause you’re freakin bald!” Noya yells, cackling with laughter. You chuckle, their conservation fading out as you walk with Kuroo back downstairs.
For about an hour or so, you and Kuroo went around the party, mingling with racers, recruiting them for the Black Lung memorial. You got at least enough people for three more races. So far, the lineup was you vs. Tanaka, Kuroo vs. Bokuto, Iwaizumi vs. Atsumu Miya from Inarizaki, and Oikawa vs. Kita. Kuroo pointed out that there would be a good turnout for the memorial given how many great racers were on the bracket, which made you both nervous and hopeful.
“So, since when do you race?” Kuroo asks you, sitting down on the couch.
“I’m pretty sure I can figure it out.” You say, sitting down next to him, draping your legs over his. “Gas pedal makes car go vroom vroom. Seems simple enough.” You joke to him, making him roll his eyes.
“Sounds like someone needs a teacher.” He says, leaning closer to you.
“Sounds like someone wants to teach me.” You say, closing the gap between the two of you, kissing him.
A buzz from your pocket interrupts you, causing you to pull away from Kuroo and take your phone out.
‘Call me now.’ the text read from your dad. Kuroo saw it over your shoulder, and immediately sat up.
“Dad, is everything okay?” You ask, trying to drown out the sound of the party.
“You need to get out of there, have Kuroo take you somewhere safe. Nohebi is looking for us.” Your dad says in a rushed tone. You hear some shuffling on his end, and your mother’s voice in the distance.
“What? Nohebi knows I’m here?” You ask. Kuroo looks at you with concern, seemingly ready to get up and run at any moment.
“Daishou has eyes everywhere. Don’t come home, your mother and I won’t be here. Tell Kuroo to protect you no matter what.” There’s a brief moment of silence between the two of you. “Your mom and I love you, sweetheart. We’ll see you soon.” Three beeps signal the end of the call.
“We need to go. Nohebi’s coming.” You say, jumping up. Kuroo follows suit.
“I’ll let the guys know.” Kuroo says, beginning to race towards the backyard where Inarizaki, Seijoh, and Nekoma were hanging out.
You follow him out, trailing behind him as he approaches Cypher and Sly Fox. Before you can catch up to him, he’s already heading back towards you, taking your hand and dragging you through the house and out the front door.
“Will everyone be okay?” You ask him, running to the car. You hop in, Kuroo doing the same and turning the car on.
“Between Seijoh, Inarizaki, and Nekoma, they have Nohebi outnumbered three to one. They won’t try anything at a party this crowded. Daishou’s too smart to fight a losing battle.” Kuroo says, immediately racing away from the party, the houses of the neighborhood zooming past your line of sight. “The gangs aren’t the target anyways. We are.”
As if on cue, you see in the rearview mirror three cars pull up to the party, and Daishou climbs out of one of them. He was vaguely familiar, you could barely recall seeing him in your father’s office, but you knew that he would recognize you and Kuroo in a heartbeat.
“We got out just in time.” You say, looking over at Kuroo.
“Barely. We’re not in the clear just yet princess, still need to get somewhere safe.” Kuroo says shortly, continuing to fly down the empty Tokyo streets. “We don’t know if Daishou had eyes on us as we left. And as soon as he realizes we aren’t there, they’re gonna be all over the city looking for us.”
“So where do we go?” You ask him.
Kuroo pauses, staring out at the freeway in front of the two of you. “My safehouse. It’s under a bogus name, in an old neighborhood. They won’t know to look there.”
You nod, sighing and rubbing your eyes. You didn’t feel even the slightest bit tipsy from the drink you had earlier. How did the night go bad so quickly?
Hey.” Kuroo says gently, reaching over to hold your hand. “Everything will be okay. As soon as we’re at the safehouse, we’ll be in the clear. And I’m sure your mom and dad are somewhere safe as well.”
His reassurance goes a long way, easing your nerves and allowing you to relax a little. There was no use stressing yourself out while you’re stuck in the car, driving to an unknown destination.
After about 50 minutes of silent driving, Kuroo finally pulls off of the freeway and enters an old, run down neighborhood. Everything was quiet, and the streetlights overhead were flickering in the darkness.
“Home sweet home.” Kuroo says, pulling into an alley next to an apartment building. He turns the car off, going to the trunk. You get out as well, watching Kuroo as he drapes a large tarp over the car. A bright red luxury car would definitely stand out in a neighborhood like this.
Kuroo takes your hand and leads you up the apartment complex stairs to a door labeled ‘A402’. With one of the many keys on his keychain, Kuroo unlocks the door, opening it for you.
There wasn’t anything very special about the apartment, it seemed like the type of place a person would crash at for a night or two then leave. A small but functional kitchen, a modestly sized living area with a couch and a TV. As you continue further into the apartment, you see a quaint bathroom with a standing shower, and a bedroom barely big enough to fit a full sized bed.
“There’s some pillows and stuff in the hall closet. And some extra clothes in the bedroom.” Kuroo says, setting his keys on the counter and pulling out his phone. As you reach for a light switch, Kuroo stops you. “Wait, don’t. We shouldn’t make it look like anyone’s home, just in case. At least until I hear back from Kenma.”
Although his paranoia seemed a bit much for you, you knew that it was for a good reason. If the Nohebi Clan was enough of a threat to make your father go into hiding, no precaution was too extreme.
“I’m gonna go change.” You call out to him, grabbing a spare shirt and pair of men’s boxers from the bedroom closet. You gently close the door, beginning to strip off your party outfit and changing into Kuroo’s clothes.
After taking a moment to recollect your thoughts, you decide there was no use worrying about things that were out of your control. Your mother and father, the race that you volunteered for, even the party you just fled from. What was in your control, however, was the bed.
“I’ll put some sheets on the bed.” You shout out to Kuroo once more, grabbing the pillows and sheets from the closet. It felt almost hotel-like, the way everything was pristine and untouched. At least you knew this wasn’t the sort of place Kuroo took other girls.
“Perfect.” You say, fluffing the pillows one last time, then stepping back to admire your work.
“I heard back from Kenma.” Kuroo says, pushing the door open and entering the room. He flops onto the bed, ruining your perfect sheets and collapsing your freshly fluffed pillows.
You sigh in annoyance, closing your eyes to keep your cool. “What did he say?” You ask, sitting next to Kuroo.
“Everything’s all good. Daishou and his guys showed up, asked for us. Oikawa and Kita were waiting for them, so they barely even made it past the front door. Told them we left a while ago, and that they didn’t know where we went.” Kuroo rubs his forehead with his hands, pushing his hair back. In the dim light that radiated from the street lamps outside, you could see the exhaustion in his eyes.
“No one got hurt? Are they still out looking for us?” You ask, your brain going a thousand miles an hour.
“Everyone's fine.” Kuroo says gently, taking your hand. “From what Kenma knows, they gave up looking for us and now they’re trying to find your dad. I think they’re assuming I brought you to them.”
You breathe another sigh of relief. The two of you were finally in the clear, finally safe, at least for tonight. “So we’re okay? At least for now?”
“For now, yes. In the morning Kenma will let me know if we’re all clear to go back to your place. But for right now, we’re safe.” Kuroo says, turning over to face you, wrapping his arms around your waist, resting his head on your thigh.
“We’re safe.” You whisper to yourself, running your fingers through Kuroo’s unruly black hair. The moment of calm being shared between the two of you is disrupted by a loud rumbling from your stomach.
“You hungry?” Kuroo asks, grinning against your leg.
“Maybe.” You say, realizing how hungry you’ve been all night. Is eating at parties still not cool, or was that only a high school thing? You didn’t see anyone else eating at Bokuto’s, so you assume it still wasn’t. Or maybe you were too worried about everyone staring at you to notice if anyone was eating.
“I’ll go grab some stuff at the convenience store.” Kuroo says, getting up and grabbing his jacket. “Onigiri?”
“And some ramen please.” You request politely, smiling sweetly at him. “Be careful.”
“Always am, princess.” He says, leaning down to plant a kiss on your lips.
Kuroo exits the room and you hear the front door shut and lock. You found yourself in a silent, dark apartment, alone.
‘Might as well see if the TV works.’ you think to yourself, getting up and walking to the living room and plopping down on the couch. Just like the bed, it felt brand new, as if you were the first person to sit on it.
After flicking the TV on, you mindlessly scroll through channels, trying to find something to occupy your mind. It felt wrong, how everything was so dangerous and scary tonight, but all that you could think of was that one thing Bokuto said. ‘No more bachelor’s life for you!’ What does that even mean?
Grabbing your phone, you realize that you really had no one to talk to. Normal girls would text their best friend, or even just a regular friend when they want to talk about boy problems. Normal girls, with normal friends and safe lives. Maybe Kuroo really is the only person you talk to.
You scroll through your recent messages, trying to find anyone to talk to. Dad — no. For obvious reasons. Mom — maybe on a regular day, but not right now. Kuroo — big no, for even more obvious reasons. Dentist — yeah, if you were really that desperate.
“I guess I could talk to myself.” You mutter out loud. After a moment of lonesome silence, you sigh. “Yeah, no. I’m not that crazy.”
What kind of bachelor’s life was Kuroo living before you came along, before that early morning watching the sunrise? You always assumed he was the no strings attached sort of guy, considering the type of work he does. But then again, the only times you ever saw him was when he was working. Maybe the Kuroo you knew was just one side, the professional side. Of course he let his guard down around you, joking and flirting when you were alone. It had been that way for as long as you could remember, since Kuroo started working for your dad. But maybe that was just another side, the side for girls he was interested in. Maybe you weren’t the only one who got to see that side. You saw two out of however many sides he has — the flirt and the henchman. Maybe you didn’t know him at all.
The sound of the front door creaking open draws you out of your thoughts, and you look up to see Kuroo with a convenience store bag filled with food.
“I wasn’t sure which onigiri you’d want, so I got one of each.” He says, plopping a bag filled with various onigiris onto the living room table. “And I got two ramens, spicy and regular. I’ll take whichever one you don’t want.”
“Spicy please.” You say, chuckling at how much food Kuroo got for just the two of you. Kuroo shrugs his jacket off, leaving it on the couch. Grabbing the bag with the ramen, he walks into the kitchen, flicking the lights on.
“One spicy ramen coming right up.” He says, pulling a pot out of the cupboard. You grab a salmon onigiri from the bag in front of you, unwrapping it and taking a bite.
“How often do you use this place?” You ask, watching Kuroo as he fills the pot with water and puts it on the stove.
“Once in a blue moon, really. If a job goes wrong and I need a place to lay low, I stay here. Or if I need a place to crash and don’t feel like driving home.” He answers.
“Where do you live, anyways?”
“Close by the Nekoma shop, same building as Kenma. We talked about being roommates for a while, but we agreed we’d probably start hating one another.” Kuroo chuckles to himself, walking back to the living room to grab an onigiri for himself.
“So it’s just you?” You ask, trying to steer the conversation in your favor.
“Me and Yoruichi.”
“Yoruichi?” You ask, feeling like you knew the name from somewhere. Maybe an old anime?
“My cat.” He says, grinning. “I found her on a job, actually. She kept following me around and just jumped into my car when I wasn’t looking.”
“Sounds like a pretty good life.” You say, trying your hardest to be subtle. “A bachelor’s life.” Okay, not so subtle.
“I knew you were still thinking about that.” Kuroo says, laughing. “You know you can just ask me stuff. No need to try and jump over hurdles trying to talk to me.”
“I’m not really good at this.” You admit. “You know...talking. Being open. Relationship stuff.”
“Relationship, huh?” Kuroo asks, turning to you and smirking. The pot of water behind him was at a rolling boil, letting steam into the kitchen.
You roll your eyes, your cheeks were definitely blushing but you hope that Kuroo couldn’t see it in the dim light. “Whatever this is.” You say quietly, knowing that a real label was the last thing either of you were thinking of with all the things you both were dealing with.
“Like I said, ask me anything.” Kuroo says, his back turned to you as he stirred the ramen.
“What did Bokuto mean by ‘a bachelor’s life’?” You ask, getting up to join Kuroo in the kitchen. You lean against the counter opposite the stove, staring at Kuroo’s muscular back.
“I was...definitely a bachelor. For a while.” Kuroo says, back still turned to you.
“Like...you had…” you say, trailing off. You were torn between saying “hoes” or “bitches”.
“I had...some girls that I spent time with. Nothing serious, though. I always made sure to keep things casual.” The conversation felt tense, slowly but surely growing more and more awkward as more details were being revealed.
“I don’t really care about how many there were.” You say quickly, reassuring Kuroo and clearing some of the tension. “I don’t care who they are either. But is there anyone I should be worried about? It felt like everyone was staring at me at the party.” The memory of all the girls at the party staring at you curiously was persisting in your mind.
“No one to worry about, really. None of them seem like the type to backstab, especially considering soon everyone will know you’re a Sakanoshita.” Kuroo says slyly, referring to the upcoming race in memory of your brother. You knew that as soon as everyone learned of your family, your sense of anonymity in Kuroo’s world would be gone.
“I have one more question.” You say, moving to stand next to the stove, nearly in front of Kuroo. “If those girls were nothing, and you usually keep things casual, what are we?”
Kuroo pauses, thinking for a moment before setting down his chopsticks and turning the heat to a simmer. Turning to you, he places his hands on either side of the counter next to you, trapping you underneath him. Your heart raced as you felt your breath catch in your throat, caught off guard by Kuroo’s sudden closeness to you.
“I’m whatever you want me to be.” He says, barely louder than a whisper, his lips hovering over yours.
“You’re mine.” You say, your gaze bouncing from his eyes to his lips. Kuroo moves closer to you, his body pressing against yours.
“I’m yours.” He responds, wrapping one of his arms around your waist.
“Kuroo…” You whisper, lips grazing his. He reaches next to you, turning the stove off. In an instant, his lips crash against yours. You wrap your arms around his neck, desperate for more — more contact, more kisses, more Kuroo. The entire night Kuroo kept you close to him, never leaving your side at the party, always making sure to let his kisses linger a few seconds longer than normal. All the pent up tension was finally being released, the adrenaline rush that came with all the drama from tonight only fueled the boldness of yours and Kuroo’s actions.
You grind your hips against him, making him groan. You were very aware of two things; his growing member, hard against your body, and the sudden wetness between your legs.
You gently push against Kuroo, freeing yourself from underneath him. His lips stay attached to yours, refusing to break the seal the two of you made. In one swift motion, you release from his grasp, and without looking back, you calmly walk to the bedroom, leaving Kuroo standing in the kitchen alone, pining for more.
“Are you coming or not? Make sure you turn off the stove.” You call behind you, toying with Kuroo. You grin to yourself, knowing that you were just as irresistible to him as he was to you.
You open the bedroom door, behind you Kuroo’s footsteps grew closer and closer. Suddenly, you feel his arms around your waist again, and in an instant Kuroo is in front of you grabbing you by the throat, moving you so your back is against the door, pushing you backwards to shut it.
“Such a pretty princess.” Kuroo says, closing the gap between you two. You felt your heart rate quickening, being trapped under Kuroo’s touch like this. A light moan escapes your lips, this dominant side of Kuroo makes you want him even more. His hand wrapped around your throat, his hard cock against your leg, the whole room felt electrified.
“Kuroo please.” You whisper, eager for more.
“You want me?” Kuroo asks, his lips barely touching yours. He wraps his other arm around you, grabbing your ass and pulling you against his body. The only thing that stopped the two of you from being directly pressed against one another was his hand around your throat.
“Yes.” You answer breathlessly, moving your head forward, your lips colliding with his. Kuroo breathes heavily, removing his hand from your throat and moving to grab your ass. Almost by instinct, you give a light jump, wrapping your legs around Kuroo’s waist, his hands supporting you and keeping you from falling.
Kuroo moves backwards until his legs hit the bed, then he slowly sits and reclines backwards, careful not to drop you or break the kiss. He maintains a firm grip on your ass as you straddle him grinding your hips against his, yearning for more friction between the bulge being held back by his jeans and your throbbing pussy.
His fingers gently graze at the bottom of your shirt, tugging it upwards. You take the hint, sitting up and removing your top effortlessly. Kuroo does the same, sitting up slightly and lifting his shirt over his head. In the dim glow of the street light from outside, you could just barely make out the dragon tattoo on that stretched from his neck down his arm.
“Take these off.” Kuroo says, rubbing your thighs.
“What’s the magic word?” You tease.
“Now.” He says, reaching for your neck, forcefully pulling you down to look him in the eyes. You smirk, relishing in the fact you were able to see this side of Kuroo. There was no fear within you as he tightened his grip around your throat, only more and more arousal at the sight of the great Drift King grasping for control.
Gently, you take hold of his wrist, making him let go of your neck. After placing a small kiss on his thumb, you get up, unbuttoning your pants. Kuroo’s eyes never left you, he was hypnotized, his hand rubbing his hardened crotch. He almost looked as if he was stuck in a trance, watching you undress before him, as if you were something out of a magazine that had come to life right before his eyes.
Reaching behind you, you unclip your bra, letting it fall to the floor, your nipples already rock hard. Kuroo lets out a small “fuck”, watching you in amazement. You turn to look at him, feeling no need to cover your nude body, no need to hide from him. You want him to see you, it turns you on watching him touch himself as he stares at you with lust in his eyes. At this moment, you wanted nothing more than to climb into that bed with him and fuck all night long.
You take a few steps closer to him, bending down and reaching for his pants, smirking as you hear his breath catch in his throat. Kuroo moves his hands away, hoisting himself up on his elbows to watch you. After unbuttoning and unzipping his pants, he moves slightly to allow you to remove his pants — and to his surprise — his underwear as well.
If there was a god out there, you were certain that they personally blessed Tetsurou Kuroo with a gorgeous penis. Standing perfectly erect in front of you, you stop for a moment to simply take it all in. The size, the girth, the slight lean to the left, the vein popping out in excitement, the droplets of precum gathering on the head. At just the mere sight of his cock, you felt a fire light inside of you, eager to pleasure him.
“You just gonna sit and stare all night?” Kuroo asks sarcastically, looking down at you with a smirk. Without saying a word, you gently lick the precum off of the head, your eyes not leaving his. He gently sighs, his smirk falling as his mouth stays slightly agape. You will yourself to salivate, and in one seemingly effortless motion, you take his entire length in your mouth, the tip hitting the back of your throat. You gag slightly, trying your hardest to relax your throat to keep his dick in your mouth. Kuroo’s head falls back in pleasure, and a beautiful moan escapes his lips.
“Goddamn, princess.” Kuroo says, lazily picking his head up to look you in your eyes. Once again maintaining eye contact, you slowly withdraw his dick from your mouth, allowing your drool to dribble from your mouth onto his penis. Kuroo’s chest continued to rise and fall heavily, watching your every move. Licking one long stripe along the vein of his penis, you once again take him in your mouth, this time creating a rhythm, your head bobbing up and down as your hand strokes the length that you couldn’t fit, letting your spit lubricate his cock.
You begin to lose yourself in the moment, allowing yourself to close your eyes and bask in the sound of Kuroo’s soft groans as you pleasure him.
“Come here.” Kuroo says, breaking your concentration. You slowly take his length out of your mouth, leaving it wet with your saliva. Kuroo reaches for your thighs, pulling you upwards to look you straight into your eyes as you hover over him, his wet length hitting your inner thigh.
“Sit on my face.” Kuroo commands roughly, hands wandering up and down your legs and ass, his fingers gently brushing the lips of your vagina. You shiver at the small contact made, ready for more. After planting a short kiss on Kuroo’s lips, you let him guide you until your pussy is just barely hovering over his lips, his hands securely gripping your thighs, your bare tits practically glowing in the dim light streaming in from the empty street. You felt so defenseless, exposing yourself as Kuroo stared up at your naked body, you both knew he was strong enough to hold you down against his mouth if he wanted to.
Slowly, tentatively, you lower yourself down, your heart pounding out of your chest in excitement. Without missing a beat, Kuroo’s large hands tighten their grip on your thighs, holding you steady as his tongue furiously licks your pussy, practically making you double over in ecstasy.
Your moans and whimpers of pleasure echo through the room, and Kuroo takes this as a signal to quicken his pace, his tongue licking fast strokes against your clit and dipping slightly into your hole. His pace continued getting faster and faster, tongue alternating between circling your clit and deeply thrusting into your hole. You were certain he was leaving bruises on your thighs, trying to keep you still against his devilish mouth. Gripping tightly onto his hair, you feel yourself beginning to come undone on top of him, your walls tightening as you grind your hips against Kuroo’s face, his nose nudging against your clit, the pace never slowing down. You weren’t 100% sure he could breathe, but you didn’t really care. All that mattered to you was reaching your climax with Kuroo’s face buried in your pussy.
“Kuroo!” You moan out, pulling his hair a little harder as you feel your walls pounding as you hit your peak, struggling screams escaping your mouth as Kuroo continues gently lapping at your clit as you cum. It took everything in you just to stay upright, the intensity of Kuroo’s mouth never letting up even as you came. You ride out your high on Kuroo’s face, slowly releasing your grip on his head as he takes his hands off your thighs.
As you continue to try to catch your breath, you lift yourself up, giving Kuroo room to breathe. He breathes deeply as well, looking up at you with a smirk.
“You sound cute when you scream my name.” He says smugly, rubbing your thigh. You roll your eyes, your cheeks burning. Shifting backwards, you widen your stance to straddle his waist again, the tip of his penis just barely grazing the lips of your drenched pussy.
“And I like you better when you’re quiet.” You say, just barely louder than a whisper. Your face was once again centimeters away from his, and his lips were still glistening with your cum. Without hesitation Kuroo’s lips meet yours, sloppy, wet kisses being swapped between the two of you as your hand takes hold of his dick, lining it up with your entrance.
You watch as Kuroo pulls away from the kiss, his face contorting in satisfaction as you sink into him. You sigh, closing your eyes as his length slowly starts filling you up. There was only a little resistance, your walls having to stretch to adjust to his size. But even so, he felt so comfortable inside of you. It felt as if the two of you were made for one another.
You feel your eyes roll back as you shift your hips, his dick twitching slightly inside of you. Kuroo’s hands gripped onto your ass deeply, urging you to move, to create some sort of friction. With the support of his hands, you move your hips upwards, then downwards, up, down, up, down, two bodies moving almost perfectly in sync as the room filled with the sounds of Kuroo’s moans and your screams.
The two of you kept a rhythmic pace to maintain the high you were both building, his hands guiding your hips as you steadily let your body rise and fall against his. Fireworks exploded at your core every time your hips collided with his, the head of his dick ramming against your cervix.
After some time you slow down, your legs were getting more and more tired as you rocked against him. Kuroo senses your exhaustion and effortlessly flips you over onto your back, getting on top of you. Lining up his rock hard cock at your entrance, he looks down at you with a malicious grin.
“So desperate for my dick, huh princess?” Kuroo teases, letting the head of his penis rub along your soaking wet pussy, your walls clenching every time it barely grazes your clit.
“Just get inside me already.” You demand, your body aching for more. You were so close to reaching your second high, and you were more than ready to keep going all night if Kuroo wanted to.
“What’s the magic word?” Kuroo says, using your words from earlier against you. He slowly lowers himself until his lips graze your hardened nipple. The tip of his dick continues to rub against you, making your pussy throb. Kuroo flicks your nipple with his tongue, before taking it between his teeth and nibbling softly, causing you to yelp at the sudden contact. Kuroo moves away from your nipple, sucking hard on the soft tissue of your breasts, leaving hickeys scattered across your chest.
“Please fuck me Kuroo!” You beg, unable to take any more stimulation. You feel Kuroo chuckle against your skin, right before he finally lets his tip enter you. He pushes into you at a painstakingly slow rate, making you groan in anticipation, shutting your eyes tightly. Kuroo always left you yearning for more, lusting for his touch.
Kuroo moves his head upwards, nestling his face into your neck as he gradually increases his pace. He leaves small kisses along your neck, taking your ear lobe between his teeth and tugging on it, making your eyes roll back as you let out a loud moan. You shift underneath him, bucking your hips upwards as you wrap your legs around his waist. Kuroo groans into your neck, letting his head rest against your shoulder as he continues to pound into you, leaving shockwaves running through your body with every thrust.
“Kuroo, please make me cum.” You moan out, tangling your hands in his hair. Kuroo quickly pushes himself upward, hoisting your legs up and using his thighs to keep your hips suspended in the air, his dick still deep in you. Kuroo smirks as he sees your eyes roll back in pleasure, your hands grasping at the sheets around you, your breasts bouncing with every thrust. His smirk only grows wider as he begins rubbing small circles on your clit with his thumb, causing you to scream so loud you were certain everyone in the neighborhood could hear you.
With this added stimulation, you felt yourself getting closer to your climax much faster, the pressure building up in your pussy as Kuroo continues fucking you from this new angle. Without any warning, you feel your walls clenching like a vice around Kuroo’s dick, causing Kuroo to take his thumb off of your clit so his hands could grab your waist, keeping you still as you cum all over him.
Your climax is only further intensified by Kuroo continuing to pound into your tight cunt, aching for his own release. The feeling of your vaginal walls spasming around his cock was more than enough for him, but getting to see you scream in pleasure as he sends you over the edge is what really did it for him. To him, there was no better sight than seeing his princess cum.
It didn’t take long until Kuroo let out a throaty groan, his grip on your hips tightening as he fucks you even harder.
“Cum inside of me.” You barely make out, your body overrun with satisfaction. Kuroo leans down once more, pinning your hands over your head as you wrap your legs around him. Looking deeply into his eyes, you watch as his face contorts in ecstasy, his forehead dropping against yours. You feel his cock twitch inside of you, and you feel your cunt fill up with Kuroo’s hot cum.
After a last few sloppy thrusts, Kuroo pulls out of you, leaving you lying on the bed breathless, your chest rising and falling as you try to gain your composure. Your pussy was practically bursting with liquids, both yours and his. Kuroo briskly walks over to the bathroom, and you hear some shuffling and the sink running. Kuroo returns with a wet washcloth, kneeling in front of your soaking wet vagina and tenderly wiping up any cum that was on you.
“Such a gentleman.” You comment, looking down at Kuroo as he concentrates on cleaning you up. He looks up at you, smiling when he realizes you were watching him.
“Only the best for my girl.” He says, getting up and wiping his dick off with the rag. You move to lay on your side, feeling more than content with the events that just occurred. Kuroo lays next to you, looking into your eyes.
“My girl?” You repeat back at him, squinting your eyes skeptically. Kuroo rolls his eyes, throwing his arm around your waist and pulling you next to him.
“I’m yours. You’re mine. That’s the deal.” He says, winking at you.
“Since when am I yours?” You ask teasingly, knowing damn well that there was no arguing that you and Kuroo belonged to one another.
“Since you screamed my name so loud the entire neighborhood heard you.” Kuroo says, smirking. “The hickeys speak for themselves too. They’re like a personal tag.”
“Shut up.” You say, rolling your eyes at his lewd comments. You couldn’t hide the smile on your face as you thought about the idea of being Kuroo’s. “I’m yours.” You whisper, inching your face closer to Kuroo’s.
“You’re mine.” Kuroo responds back, placing a loving kiss on your lips. There wasn’t any lust, any heat in this kiss, which was a drastic change from the absolutely filthy deeds the two of you were just committing. It was a simple kiss, sealing the deal the two of you made.
“Round two after dinner?” Kuroo asks jokingly, pulling away from your kiss. You laugh, resting your forehead against his, lazily nodding at the proposal of more sex.
Alone with Kuroo in that tiny little safehouse, you felt more at home than you had felt in years. Maybe it was the intensity of everything that happened that night, maybe it was the sense of belonging you felt as you laid in Kuroo’s arms, maybe it was the way your heart fluttered every time you heard Kuroo say “I’m yours”. Perhaps it was all of it, all of these emotions and sensations coming together, a light in the middle of the darkest storm that raged on around you, right outside the walls of this apartment. That storm wasn’t going to stop, and you and Kuroo were fully aware of the dangers that lurked around the corner for the both of you. But maybe the comfort the two of you found in one another was more than just a shelter from the impending storm. A solemn promise that regardless of the future that lay ahead, there was one constant that would remain true — he is yours, and you are his.

Suna Rintarou: your oldest childhood friend, your longest (unrequited) love, your college roommate. Suna’s scandalous reputation is getting worse, and you vow to find another love interest before you get entangled in his sinful ways. The only problem? Suna’s always been right here.
tw: alcohol, marijuana, profanity, mentions of sex, suna’s a little bitch, offensive language used towards reader
The music is pounding and the drink in your hand sloshes as you dance on Kenma. After your impromptu make-out session was interrupted by a group of freshmen setting up beer pong on the porch, the two of you decided to come inside. Your back is pressed against Kenma’s front, his left hand grasping your hip and his right hand holding his drink. Someone comes around with a bottle of tequila; both of you chug what’s left in your cups and Kenma reaches for the bottle.
You’re caught up completely in him. He’s gentle and sweet and caring, but with a darker side that you love. You don’t want the night to end; you’re pretty sure you’d be content to dance and drink with him here for the rest of your life.
The bottle is passed to Kenma with no effort from either of you. You’re still pressed against him, but his left hand drifts up to your throat as he tips the bottle towards your lips. If someone took a video of you two right now, you’re sure that it would look exactly the same as the one Kaiya had shown you earlier. The tequila burns as it runs down your throat, but the feeling of Kenma’s hand around your neck makes it worth it.
He pulls the bottle away when he decides you’ve had enough. You’re entranced by the way he sips it straight without wincing, and you’re even more captivated when he tips your head back with the hand around your neck and presses his mouth to yours, the tequila falling from his lips and down your throat.
You’re drunk on the alcohol, that’s for sure, but you think you might be even more drunk on him.
The bottle is taken away, but you’re unsatisfied. Right now, all you want is for him to make good on his words from earlier in the evening, and you tell him that.
Tucked into his side, Kenma leads you from the party and down the sidewalk to your apartment.
---
You fumble for your keys when you reach the apartment door, Kenma’s lips locked on your neck. You’re unbuttoning his shirt while trying to unlock the door, he’s unzipping your dress. When you finally get the door open, you both tumble inside, slowly making your way down the hall and to your room.
You’re stopped when a light flicks on in the kitchen, and you quickly turn to see Suna, arms crossed and expression blank. Kenma steps away from you to look at him as well, and the three of you stand there, silent, until Suna finally speaks.
“Get out.”
Your jaw drops at his audacity. Whatever high you were feeling is gone now, you’re completely sober. You feel like you’ve been dunked in cold water. Suna’s kicking Kenma out, and for what? Because you brought him home? Because you were planning on sleeping with him? It’s not your fault Suna is here; if it were any other night, he wouldn’t be home until dawn anyway.
“Why?”
To your surprise, it’s Kenma who replies. You’re caught in the middle between the two of them, and you can only watch as it quickly escalates.
“It’s my house. I said get out.”
“It’s actually her house too,” Kenma points to you, “and she’s allowed to have people over.”
“Not tonight.” Suna’s face is still carefully blank, but you can see the anger starting to appear in his eyes.
“She’s an adult, last time I checked, and you aren’t her caretaker. She can do what she wants.”
Suna steps forward, eyes blazing. “You- “
Before it can get any worse, you place your hand on Kenma’s arm. “It’s alright, Kenma. I’m sorry.”
Your voice is quiet, and his expression immediately softens. “Are you sure?”
You nod and pull him in for a quick hug. “Yes, thank you. I’m sorry. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
He leaves with a small wave to you, a sad smile on his face. You turn on Suna, who still has his arms crossed.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” You’re furious at him, at the audacity of him. “I invited him over. I wanted him to be here. I’m an adult! You can’t make decisions for me.”
“Oh, really? This is the second time in the past few days you’ve gone out late to party, and now you’re going to bring a guy over? What the fuck is wrong with you, y/n? It’s Monday night, for fuck’s sake. You have class in the morning, and you’re too busy getting drunk and high and fucking other guys to realize that. What the fuck has gotten into you, lately?”
Your anger is white-hot, causing tears to form in your eyes and your hands to shake. “I’m an adult, Suna! I can do whatever I want, and I can fuck whoever I want! You do it all the time!”
“Just because I do it doesn’t mean that you should! You’re better than this! You’re going around acting like a-a- “
You know what he’s going to say, and you think part of you needs to hear him say it. If he says it, you know the damage will be irreversible. “A what, Suna?”
“A whore!”
That’s it. Your anger is extinguished, your hands stop shaking, but the tears continue to fall. You turn and walk silently to your room, leaving Suna standing in the kitchen. You close your bedroom door, locking it behind you, and slide down it to the floor. Everything is silent for a moment until Suna realizes what he has done.
You crawl into bed with tears still streaming down your face and fall asleep to Suna endlessly calling your name and banging on your door to apologize.
---
When you wake up to your alarm the next morning, the apartment is silent. You brave going into the kitchen, only to find a bouquet of flowers and take-out breakfast from your favorite diner down the street. Mercifully, Suna is nowhere to be found, but you send him a quick thank you text anyway. You’re still pissed, rightfully so, but you’re appreciative that he is at least trying to get back in your good graces.
---
The rest of the week passes by painfully slow. You spend the majority of your time with Kaiya, Kenma, and Kuroo, eating lunch with them in the quad and meeting up in the library to study. Suna is noticeably absent not only from the apartment, but from campus. It’s only on Friday that you find out where he’s been.
Your phone rings while you’re preparing dinner for yourself. You’re planning on going to another party tonight; this time Kenma invited you. You pick up the phone, spotting your mom’s number.
“Hey, mom.”
“Hi, baby. How are you?” Her gentle voice comforts you immensely. You’ve felt off with Suna gone; the apartment feels lonely without him, even if you two aren’t really talking.
“I’m alright, how are you?”
“I’m good. Why didn’t you come home with Rintarou?”
“He’s home?” Your surprise is painfully obvious, and you wince. You don’t want your parents to think that the two of you aren’t getting along.
“Yeah, he’s been home since Tuesday morning. He’s coming over for dinner tonight, and I think he’s leaving Sunday.”
“Oh.” You don’t know what to say. “I’m sorry I couldn’t go home, mom, school’s been busy.”
“It’s alright, sweetheart. We’ll see you for winter break.”
“Of course, mom. Love you.”
“Love you too, baby. Bye.”
You hang up with an unsettled weight in your stomach. Why would Suna go home? You figured he was crashing at a friend’s place. It’s unlike him to go home without telling you, especially because he knows how homesick you can get. The stir-fry you had been cooking looks unappetizing now. You put it in the fridge for tomorrow and grab a protein bar instead.
Your mind is plagued by Suna while you get ready for the party. Why did he leave? You argued, yes, but he didn’t even tell you he was going back home. You haven’t heard from him at all; your text from Tuesday morning was left on read. Maybe he was afraid of your reaction, maybe he didn’t know what to do.
You sigh as you slip into your shoes and lock up the empty apartment before heading to the party.
---
Suna Rintarou is completely fucking stupid. He knows he is, you know he is, everyone knows it. He is dumb and cannot act on his feelings in the way he wants to, and now he’s made you upset and made himself angry. When he boards the train back to Hyogo, he isn’t sure why he’s going back. He doesn’t know what he’s looking for; only that he needs to get his head on straight. He can’t keep making you mad. If only you loved him like he loves you; he wouldn’t have to do stupid things like party every night and sleep with other girls to distract himself.
When he vents to his parents, they tell him to stop being stupid and just confess. How can he do such a thing when he’ll just be set up for rejection? Instead of going back to Tokyo and heeding his parents’ advice, he stays for a few more days and plans a dinner with your parents on Friday.
Your mom opens the door, delight evident on her face. “Oh, Rintarou, it’s been too long.” She pulls him in for a tight hug, and he hugs her back just as tight. “Dinner’s almost ready, why don’t you go grab a seat at the table?”
Suna follows her instructions as she disappears back into the kitchen. Your dad is at the table, messing with his laptop, but he smiles brightly when Suna walks in. “Hey, son, how’ve you been?”
Suna smiles at the easy way your parents greet him. “I’ve been good.”
“Taking care of my girl?”
Suna chuckles at that. “Trying my best, sir.”
“Good. She’s a handful. It wouldn’t surprise if she’s the one taking care of you, and not the other way around.”
Suna laughs at your dad’s prediction. He’s right, Suna knows that for sure, and from the glint in your dad’s eyes, he knows it as well.
Your mom returns from the kitchen and dinner is served. “What brings you back home, Rintarou? And without our daughter?”
“I was just feeling homesick, and she’s busy with school so she couldn’t come.”
“Ah, ah,” your mom lifts her fork and points it at Suna, “you’re lying.” His cheeks flush red. “When I called her a little bit ago, she had no idea that you were back home, which means,” she flicks her fork again, “you two are arguing. “
Suna scratches the back of his head as his blush deepens. “We’re not really arguing, more of- “
“Arguments with y/n don’t last this long,” your dad speaks up, “because she always wins them.”
“Well, you’re right about that.”
Your mom speaks again, “So what’s going on, Rintarou?”
He sighs. This is why he came home; he knows that. He’s not here to see his parents, or Kita, or anyone else. He’s here for your parents.
“This is going to sound very forward and sudden, but I would appreciate if you could hear me out. I understand if you disapprove, and I will stop immediately if that’s the case.” Suna takes a deep breath, his cheeks flushed. “I love y/n.”
It’s completely silent, but your parents don’t seem to be shocked. His eyes bounce back and forth between the two of them, waiting for someone to yell, to be angry, to speak.
Instead, both your mom and your dad bust out laughing. Suna is bewildered by this turn of events, of everything he expected, every scenario he ran through in his head, this was not one of them.
Your mom is finally able to quiet her laughter. “We know, Rintarou. You’ve been in love with our daughter since elementary school.”
His eyes widen. “I’ve what- “
“She’s right.” Your father’s eyes are fond, as they always are when he talks about you. “We’ve all been making bets on how long it would take for the two of you to get together. We were hoping that once you moved in together, it would work out, but obviously not.”
“Who’s we?” Suna is not sure if he’s focusing on the important part of what was just revealed to him, but he’s still too confused to care.
“Your parents, my husband and I, the twins’ parents, Kita and his grandma.”
Suna feels like he should be angrier that Kita was involved in these adult schemes, but he isn’t. “Wow.”
“So, what’s the problem then, Rintarou? You love her, why don’t you tell her that?” Your mom’s questioning gaze burns his heart, and he has to look away.
“I screwed up, really badly. It’s a long story, but I said some things I didn’t mean, and I really hurt her feelings. On top of that, I can’t bring myself to tell her because she doesn’t feel the same and I don’t want to ruin our friendship.”
“Have you asked her?”
“No, but- “
“Ask her, Rintarou. You’d be surprised.”
The flicker of hope in his chest is enough for Suna. “I still need to make up for what I said to her the other day.”
He spends the rest of his evening with your parents, coming up with ideas for how to confess and apologize and how to show how much he really loves you.
---
The party is pretty much the same as the one on Monday. You spend it with Kenma, determined to make up for Suna’s behavior. Once again, after the two of you smoke a bowl and take shots, you drag Kenma from the party and towards your apartment.
“Shouldn’t we go to my place instead?” His voice is muffled from where his mouth is pressed against your neck, and you have to stifle a moan to respond.
“Nah, Suna’s not here.” Kenma lifts his head to look at you, lust clouding his golden eyes. “We’ll have the place all to ourselves.” Your grin is catlike, and you’re thrilled. Even with the marijuana and the alcohol clouding your mind, you’re excited. No Suna to interrupt you or judge you, just you and Kenma and the rest of the night.
Kenma presses you up against the apartment door after you’ve unlocked it. You can feel how badly he wants you. Your mind goes blissfully blank as he kisses down your body, and you drag him to your bedroom without a second thought.

first love
pairing: Kuroo Tetsurou x reader
summary: You never forget your first love.
author’s notes: This is what prompted the many angst fics to come in my repertoire. I’ll just to slowly transfer some of my one-shots that are reader inserts here on tumblr.
twenty one pilot’s cover of ‘can’t help falling in love’ really helped me in the writing of this fic. It’s a favorite of mine I keep going back to when writing fics. Reader is a musician, who plays the ukulele and violin and at the time when I wrote this (back in 2017), I was learning to play the uke, mostly for fun.
also available on ao3.
disclaimer: i own NOTHING but the plot.
Wise men say, only fools rush in
But I can't help, falling in love with you
They moved to Tokyo when she was 8.
And at a young age, she was pretty much a timid and shy girl, always hiding behind her parents whenever in the presence of new people, especially when she was being introduced. She wasn't very good with socializing, always wary and scared that she'd make a horrible impression. And of people, in general. People were generally scary, especially those she was unfamiliar with. She found solace in music, due to her father's influence, who was a music instructor at a university. "When words fail, music speaks." He'd tell her as they played 'Heart and Soul' together on the piano, her mother taking a video of them from the side. And a little while later, by some miracle, she made friends with the local kids – Tetsurou and Kenma. The two were an odd pair, given Tetsurou's loud and mischievous demeanor being a total contrast to Kenma's quiet and well-behaved and aloofness. Still, they were the best friends she could ever have.
Years passed, and the three were inseparable.
Over time, the two proved to be more trouble than they were worth – Tetsurou, with his never-ending schemes and provocation abilities, and Kenma, with his indifference to the world so long as he was playing his games.
Nothing's changed much of her, other than her ability to keep the dynamic duo grounded. Also, she had her flair for music. Still, she was terribly shy. Though she has a voice, she chose to stick to the background, wanting to be out of the limelight.
Tetsurou would scold her, saying that it was a waste because she had a good singing voice. In which, would make her blush. Kenma would say the same thing even without looking up from his game console. But Tetsurou's words resounded, her heart beating like a drum.
Shall I stay, would it be a sin?
If I can't help, falling in love with you
It was the clichest thing to happen – she fell in love with her childhood friend.
She fell for Tetsurou.
For all his cockiness, his mischievousness, his peculiar affinity with cats (ironic that they attended Nekoma), and his atrocious bed hair – she loved it all.
Of course, she'd never tell him.
She doesn't have the heart to.
Neither will she tell Kenma, being the perceptive boy he was.
Plus, she'd have to go against a throng of his admirers (who made up of about half of the female population, by the way). There was no way she had a chance. And besides, who was she to him but his ever dependable, timid and adorable best friend?
When he bought her a ukulele on her 16th birthday – he knew she had wanted to try to play it for the longest time, she knew that it was simply out of friendship.
For a while, she became the volleyball team's manager. And for a while, she was able to play it cool with her feelings. This was okay, she thought, its better like this.
"This is my best friend, (Last Name) (Name)." he says, wrapping his arms around her neck as he hugged her from behind, introducing her to two players from Fukurodani.
The shorter of the two – Akaashi Keiji, smiles. "Nice to meet you, (Last name)-san."
"Oh! She's so cute!" says the loud boy – Bokuto Koutarou. "Are you sure she's not your girlfriend?"
Tetsurou laughed, chin digging into her head. "I've known her forever, that'll be weird."
"Kuroo, you're hugging her too tight." Kenma says with a frown.
Best friend.
That's all she'll ever be to him.
Like a river flows, surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes, this love was meant to be
It was rare to find Tetsurou at his lowest since he was usually contented with whatever happened. But they lost, unable to secure a spot at nationals.
So when she found him all by himself at the gym, she knew he needed to be cheered up.
Taking her ukulele from her bag, she started playing. Tetsurou looked up just as she started singing. "You with the sad eyes don't be discouraged, oh I realize" she kneeled in front of him, watching him with careful eyes. "It's hard to take courage, in a world full of people; you can lose sight of it all, the darkness inside you, can make you feel so small."
She continued singing to him, feeling her heart beat faster with every line. It was so hard seeing this down, it was so unlike him. He rested his head on his folded arms, eyes closed as she sang. He always loved hearing her sing.
"And I see your true colors shining through," she wished her words reached him. "I see your true colors, and that's why I love you."
For a moment, she choked up. Not intending to say those words out loud, but they were part of the song, and the way she sang it with so much emotion that the look Tetsurou was giving her made her nervous. His golden eyes stared deep into her (eye color) – filled with so much emotion, but she focused on confusion, probably at why she had stopped.
Regaining her composure, she continued. "So don't be afraid to let them show, your true colors are beautiful like a rainbow."
Tetsurou cracked a smile, reaching out to ruffle her hair playfully. "When did you get so cheesy?"
"And when did you become this uncool?" she teased back, slapping his hand away. "Are you feeling better now?"
Sighing, he leaned his back against the wall, staring at the ceiling. "A little, but thanks for coming after me."
"It's not the end of the world," she tells him kindly. "and after all, there's next year. Right, captain?"
The look on his face was priceless – clearly not expecting that. But their senpai had already decided, Kai and Morisuke were on it too, as was Coach Nekomata – before it broke into a grin.
His grin was the biggest she's ever seen.
Take my hand; take my whole life, too
'Cause I can't help, falling in love with you
Tetsurou got mad at her, saying painful words to her face.
Furiously, he turned to face her. She took a step back in surprise, clutching her ukulele to her chest. Then her instrument slipped from her hand, landing on the ground with a loud crack. The words coming out from his mouth were hard to bear, and she could just stand there taking it all in.
He didn't mean it really, but the stress and frustrations were just getting to him. She knew that.
"You know nothing. I never want to see your face again." He seethed.
When all was said and done, he up and left.
It felt as though the life was sucked out of her. She couldn't feel anything, she felt too numb to move. It only came as a surprise that she was still there when she found herself sitting on the ground, rocks digging into her skin.
Picking up her ukulele from the ground, she was surprised to find that it was still in one piece. Except for the scratches on the surface, and crack on the rim of the saddle boards. Funny, they seemed like an allegory.
Despite it all, the pain in her heart and Tetsurou's harsh treatment towards her, she found herself smiling. Hot tears streamed down her face, teeth digging unto her lower lip as if to keep her sobs in.
But the pain of it all was too much, she was only human.
Hugging her instrument to her chest, she allowed herself to cry, sobbing loudly, body shaking violently as her heart broke into smithereens.
She heard that they had made it to the semi-finals, being one of the top four schools, which shouldn't be a surprise. Actually, it was secondhand information from Kenma. Right after what happened with Tetsurou, she decided to cut ties with anything associated with him, which was basically everything – the volleyball club, Kenma.
It was something she had to – no, something she wanted to do.
No matter how much it killed her.
"Hey, let's make a little bet. If I win, you go out on a date with me."
"And if I win?"
"You won't ever see me again."
Gentle strums silenced out the lull machines, the dripping of liquids. Faint scents of flowers and fruits hid the overly sanitized room, with walls too white and dull.
"But I can't help," her voice was quiet, low, eyes transfixed to her fingers on each string on her ukulele. "falling in love," a lone tear slips down her face, though a smile graced her lips. "with you."
In front of her, the television displayed the live coverage of the nationals - Nekoma won against Fukorodani, and then lost to Karasuno.
She smiled, hugging her ukulele as tears slipped freely.
The memory of the bet they made when they were younger came to mind, making her smile. That was such a long time ago, Tetsurou probably forgot all about that just as he forgot all about her.
"Don't worry, you won."
Now you won't ever see me again.
He was surprised when they came back to school, she wasn't there. She was the first person he looked for since she was absent during the whole finals match. But she wasn't anywhere to be found – not in the library, the music room, the club room.
He had a promise to keep, and an apology to make up.
So it came as a surprise to him when his classmates' expressions turned grim at the mention of her name. Some had begun to cry, some looked away, nothing was making sense.
But one word was clear to him – cancer.
He turned to his best friend, who met his gaze. For the first time in his life, he saw anger in those usually stoic eyes. He knew then that he knew, he always knew. There was also pain, pain for his best friend's condition. And for (Name)'s sake, he decided to keep his mouth shut.
Without a word, he ran, as fast as he can, ignoring the calls from his classmates, teachers, teammates. He had to get to her. He had to apologize; he didn't mean what he said. He wanted to see her, hold her, tell her he was stupid and an idiot-
But he was already too late.

Smoke Sesh Blues Pt.1
Pt.1 Terushima/Kunimi/Kenma x Reader ll Weed
Pt.2 Saeko x Reader ll Molly + Alcohol
INTOXICATED a Miki Mouse Whorehouse collab.
A/N: Here is my second collab fic for the whorehouse and I couldn’t be more excited! This is a Dark Content fic, so 18+ please dot not interact or you will be blocked. (This one doesn’t have any NSFW in it but it doesn’t mean I want a bunch of minors interacting with my content).
TW: mentions of alcohol, weed smoking, mentions of shrooms.
WC: 1.5k
Sitting across the room was the most beautiful woman you’d ever seen, well, beautiful might not be the best word to describe her. Ethereal, and transcendent might’ve been the words you’d use to describe a really, really attractive woman, but Tanaka Saeko was not just any attractive woman.
Where beautiful meets savagely charismatic, ethereal simply wasn’t enough to describe the sheer magnetism that the young blond woman exuded, simply sitting there, grinning from ear to ear. Her sharp, dark eyes and toothy grin hit you straight in the guts, and that’s when you fell, hard and fast, and painfully.
Next to the blonde was a young woman equally as attractive as Saeko herself, and if Saeko wasn’t the definition of ethereal, the raven-haired girl sure was. With a pale and delicate face that screamed of poise and grace, a criminally sexy mole on the left side of her chin, and blue eyes that made a chill of pleasure run down your spine, Shimizu Kiyoko was the epitome of everything you weren’t.
Saeko had her right arm around the younger girl, hugging her close, as if afraid she’d run off. “I’d take precautions too, if that was me,” you thought. Kiyoko was one of the smartest and prettiest girls in campus after all, and despite not knowing her personally, having talked to her only once or twice because of mutual classes, it wasn’t hard to understand why she was one of the most sought after girls.
Well, that and the very amusing reputation preceding her since she entered university two years ago. The thing was, the dark-haired girl wasn’t Saeko’s girlfriend, but she was definitely intertwined with a Tanaka. Saeko’s younger brother to be exact, Tanaka Ryuunosuke.
The two were rumored to have been going out since Kiyoko’s high school graduation. Despite having let it be known pretty early on in her academic life that she had a boyfriend, with a younger partner still in high school, all the hungry frat boys up for a challenge and every business major in a radius mile who thought she “deserved better”, apparently made it their mission to woo her. It made for pretty good entertaining drama to watch, but your heart went out for her.
Based on what Saeko told you, keeping you updated on the family drama, the first year was really rough on the young couple. With her younger brother finally on campus this year, though, overcoming all the annoying dudes was easier done a job at two. Especially with a barking protective idiot and Kiyoko’s punching one-liners, which you wouldn’t expect coming from someone so calm and collected. Perhaps it wasn’t that surprising, apparently, from what you’d heard from Saeko, Kiyoko’s comedic timing was unmatched.
And okay, you obviously knew Saeko, and if Kiyoko wasn’t her girlfriend, what was the big fuss all about? Jealousy, simple as that. It was 10 pm on a Friday night, which meant parties around campus were raging from one hard to get in-club to home parties and make-shift park dancefloors. Fridays were made for debauchery and every single student who didn’t work a night shift was accounted for, every student except one, Ryu.
Saeko’s younger brother, a baldy with a lively personality, was running late because of his group of friends. Something about “Noya wrecking havoc once again” and “the trio trying to fix things, again”. You didn’t know what the issue was but it was a problem for you because that meant that Saeko had to act as guard dog for the younger girl, which meant less time spent making you feel all sorts of sinful little pleasures.
Saeko wasn’t your girlfriend either, which is why you didn’t have that close connection to Kiyoko. You guys were simply friends with benefits, lots and lots of benefits that included midday brunches, and late-night movie and make-out seshs, but still, only friends with the hall pass.
You were making eyes at the blond, desperately trying to make her notice you, amongst the hordes of horny 20-somethings year old guys trying to get at Kiyoko, but without luck. Tired of waiting and wanting to actually start enjoying yourself, you decided to go explore the rest of the house the party you currently were in was hosted. Leaving the living room, you ventured into a surprisingly big kitchen where you spotted Terushima Yuuji running his little side hustle. With a hum and an easy smile plastered on your face, you made your way towards the young man.
You knew Terushima from years ago. When you and your friend Issei started venturing into the wondrous world of drugs and alcohol, he mentioned how he knew this guy from a rival volleyball team who was supposedly the best plug in the area, which Terushima was. The shrooms you bought off of him never disappointed and the weed he provided really was that good fucking kush. Tonight though, you felt needy and wanted to let loose, so molly it was.
You put your hand on Terushima’s shoulder, making him aware of your presence, and he turned around, a slight frown on his face before he recognized you and greeted you with the sickest bro shoulder-bump-hand combo. You loved this dude so damn much.
“So, what’s it gonna be this time my little pogchamp?”
With a grimace you pushed the young man’s face with your hand and laughed.
“You’ve got to stop watching your Tiktoks on Instagram, you’re like two months late to that trend my guy.”
“Ain’t no problem, when a king does right by his subjects the peasants don’t have a choice but to laugh along”, he grinned.
At that, you bursted out laughing, holding your belly because of how ridiculously funny that statement was. “Out of pocket, Teru, out of fucking pocket.”
With a whatever, and a roll of his eyes, Terushima asked what you wanted and gave you a few little pills that fit just right inside your jean pocket.
“You know you’re the best.” Sending finger guns his way, you were about to leave, on a quest to find another interesting adventure, when Terushima called your name.
“Hey if you wait a couple minutes until I’m done here we can go smoke a few. Kunimi just bought this new bong and it’s pretty fucking sick, you’ll love it.”
With nothing better to do, you agreed and after a while, Terushima was done and the both of you left the kitchen and made your way to the second-floor, towards Kunimi’s room. When you arrived, the door to the room was closed but you could see the smoke filtering out of the red lit room, the people around too busy in their own affairs, or simply not caring enough, to notice the very obvious hot-box going on behind the closed room.
When you got in, Doja Cat’s Kiss Me More was playing on loop, and you unsurprisingly found Kunimi and Kenma sharing the bong. The pair could outsmoke you any day, but you genuinely enjoyed their company.
There was no one better than those two to have a chill yet feel-good smoke sesh with, cuddles and an infinite supply of munchies present every time. You sat next to Kenma and he immefiatley started nuzzling you, passing you the bong. On the back, you could hear Kunimi telling Terushima he was being too loud and that he’d kick him out if his voice reached higher levels than Toad’s. Terushima was right, paired with the right weed, this bong was way too powerful and it only took you a couple of hits to start feeling.
You laid down, Kenma still close to you, and started singing along, while playing with Kenma’s hair. Yeah, this was definitely your definition of a good time, but despite how good you were feeling, and how warm the little guy you were cuddling with felt, you thought something was missing. The pills in your pocket started feeling heavier, unease growing inside of you. Lost in your worry, you apparently started petting Kenma too roughly, if the kick in the knee he gave you was anything to go by.
“Sorry”, you mumbled, only to receive a small groan for an answer.
You don’t know how long you stayed like that, cozied up on the floor with your friends, listening to Doja’s newest collab, but the moment was disturbed when a foreign source of light appeared. Someone had opened the door and when you saw who it was, your heart nearly skipped a beat. Fucking feelings.
With a gentle smile on her face, Saeko was looking at you with what, for a split second, you thought was fondness, but a moment later her eyes went back to their usual playful glee, and her toothy grin returned.
“Ryu got here like an hour ago, I’ve been looking for you, but I see you don’t really need me to have a good time, hm?”
By that point, you felt more sleepy than high, but seeing the woman occupying your every thoughts appear out of nowhere, with what looked like heavenly light all around her, which was just some crusty hallway lighting, woke you up faster than you cared to admit. You kissed Kenma on the cheek, patted Kunimi on the head, and slapped Terushima on the shoulder as a goodbye, and before they could complain about the disturbance, you were out of the door.
#this was initially supposed to be a saeko railing you while under the influence of molly and alcohol#...#but#brain decided otherwise#and im late enough to the collab#so this is what yall are gettin#at least until I decide to make part two#aka the intial plan for this fic ;ldzkhgjbvùkùhb#kozume kenma#kenma#kunimi akira#terushima yuuji#tanaka saeko#saeko x reader#y/n#dark content#this one is just abt weed but still#tw weed#I guess

Sinfully Sweetheart HC. Pt 5
Hinata, Lev and Kenma
feat. Kuroo
pt. 1, pt. 2, pt.3, pt.4, pt. 6
Sorry this is soooo long???? and a mess and sorry if this is trash but I feel like Hinata is way too innocent to get what’s going on rn
SOO LETS START
So you know each other since you were small
Your as cheerful and positive as him
You also like to please everyone
So you’re rather kind and helpful
Because your so close to Hinata everyone
And I mean EVERYONE thought you’re just as innocent / obvious than him
Including Hinata himself
you two went to Kenmas birthday party
The rest of the team was also invited because Kuroo forced him to give a proper birthday PARTY
So it’s team Nekoma and Team Karasuno
And Bokuto + Akaashi ( Gym 3 sticks together - ride or die ✊🏼)
Oh and yes Fukurodanis Managers ( Yukie and Kaori) are there too making it 5 girls and about 20+ guys lol )
Yes Kuroo did tease Kenma for having like no female friends
And yes Kenma did clap back asking him why HE haven’t brought some of his female friends
Now everyone is dancing and having a good time
You sit together with Kenma, Kuroo, Hinata, Yaku and Lev talking about the latest Switch games
You’re being the sunshine you are, kept smiling and laughing
Always helping Lev out when Yaku and Kuroo kept teasing him
It was really fun
THENNN Yamamoto and Tanaka come over to your little group
„Hey, we thought about going some truth or dare? You’re in?“
You all nodded and walked over to the others
NOW the real fun starts
Yamamoto was the first one to spin
The bottle lands onnnnnnnnn
Kageyama
„Truth“ he simply says
„BUhhh that’s so boring“ Hinata complains
„TELL US. WHO was the last person you kissed?“ Yamamoto asks
Kags blushes
„Uhm I can’t remember ..“
„OHHH SHUT UP YOU DO!!“ Hinata is laughing his ass of
„STOP IT BOKE“
„OHH NO I WONT“
„Ok what happened?“ Yuki asks
„He Kissed Oikawa“ Tsuki simply says and smirks
„I DID NOT“ a red Tags complains
„YOU DID!!!“ Hinata laughs
„Ok to be fair - he fell on top of him while they where in one of their typical arguments and it just happened“ you tried to help
„Y/N stop trying to be so nice - he kissed him end of the story.“ Tanaka laughs
Tags takes the bottle and angrily spins it
And it lands onnnnn
LEV
„Dare“ he puffs his chest
„I dare you to uhh .. hug Yachi“
„WHAAAAT“ Yashi panics lol
„It’s just a hug - you’re here with the big guys so this will be the most innocent thing that’s going to happen“ Kuroo
„Kuroo. No. Hinata,Y/N, and Yamaguchi are here“ Sugawara comments
Meanwhile lev got up already as red as Yachi and walked over to her and bend down to hug her
It’s the most awkward thing you see.
She’s as stiff as person can be, arms hanging down her sides
He looks like some cracked stick?
Its a MESS
But hey they made it
Yachi stopped working but oh well
After some more rounds the bottle lands on you
And it was Hinatas turn to ask
„Truth“ you say
„Ok y/n just one question why did you and your best friend called this one musician a Daddy?”
You chocked on your drink, Kuroo and Bokuto are rolling on the floor laughing and Sugawara together with Daichi faceplam
„Uhm .. idk who you’re talking about?“ You smile
„You know .. what was he called.. Skepta?“ ( I’m so sorry but besides that he is litterly a daddy since he’s got a cute babygirl he’s also a daddy. During his concert my best friend and I were dying and some guy behind us was like: yes I know he’s a daddy )
„Ohhh yeah he has a little daughter that’s why“ you smile happy that you could keep up your cover
„Ohhh damn and here was thinking our litte y/n isn’t as innocent as we all think“ Kaori laughs
Sugawara and Daichi are now really relieved lol
The next rounds contained :
Kenma giving Hinata a kiss on the cheek
Bokuto telling his most embarrassing story - it did include him in bed having fun alone and his aunt walking in
Tsukishima giving everyone a compliment
Etc
Now the bottle was on Kuroo
„Dare“ he says as if its nothing
„Ok I dare you to dance with y/n for 3 songs. And I choose them“ Akaashi says
„WHAT but - why me??“ You whine
„ I mean, Yukie had do give Tanaka a kiss, Kaorie is already wasted, Yachi is still broken and Kiyoko - well I don’t want to fully kill Tanaka“ he explained
„ I go easy on you“ Kuroo smirks
So Akaashi takes out his phone, connects it to the speakers and goes through his library
The Take - Tory Lanez feat Chris Brown is on ( THE LYRICS THO already at the beginning lol - one of the best songs to make out to / have sex - fight me)
„YOU CANT BE SERIOUS NOW“ you scream
„AKAASHI THERE ARE KIDS IN THE ROOM“ Daichi scrams and covers hinatas ears while Yaku does the same to Lev
„Oh this will ne fun“ Kuroo smirks and winks he looks down at you
So he gently lays his hands on your hips and moves you to the beat
„I know you’re not really comfy rn so just follow me I’ll do the work“ he smiles because HE IS SOFTY and doenst want you to feel uncomfortable
„Nah this is totally fine“ you smile „Just protect me from Daichi and Suga afterwards“
„Why should -” he begins but you already put your hands around his neck and roll your hips
„Ohh - so the daddy wasn’t because he got a daughter“ he smirks
You just let your hands wander down his chest as you slowly go down to your knees, while still moving your hips to the beat
Hiantas eyes WIDEN ??? What happened to you??
He gets all flustered ??
Looking next to him he saw that Kenmas eyes are focused on your body - he’s never so focused except whe he plays games???
You’re moving back up rn arching your back
„Doesn’t this hurt“ Sugawara asks himself
Kuroo Hands are on your ass rn ( like its not his faut, its your for having such a great booty??)
Akaashi switches the song to Own it by Stormy ( for real tho I was at one of his concerts this February and guys. he could have taken me right there and I’d feel blessed ) feat Ed Sheehan and Burna Boy
So you smile and turn around pressing yourself on Kuroo
„Girl I love how you roll it, I put my hand there, hold it.“ And he puts his hands right under your belly and you start to move your hips Shakira level
You’re still arching your back and everyone can see that Kuroo is enjoying this way too much
Lev on the other hand
After the first song he was in shock
Now he’s slowly waking up and well his eyes are hearts now
Kenma is still fixed on you and
He put his PSP away??
Hinata I still flustered and doesn’t know how to talk
„Uhm Daichi - This - I- why - why is Kuroo smirking I - and why is Bokuto Whistling ?“
„HINATA LOOK AWAY“ Suga scrams over the music
„Kenma.. is this really happening rn?“Lev whispers
He just nods and finally realised WHAT HE WAS LOOKING AT
And now he’s ALL RED ???
And feels guilty?? Like why was he so amazed by the way you moved and why was he jealous of his best friend rn??
Lev still doesn’t really get what is happening lol
You put one of your hands behind Kuroo neck and start body rolling
By NOW. Hinata is still flustered don’t get me wrong but also mad?? Like why are his friends looking at HIS BEST FRIEND like that??
„KENMA why are you blushing?! What are you thinking??“ He asks
„No-Nothing . I just want this to be finished“ he mumbles but hell no.
he’s actually thinking some really different stuff which made him not able to look at you for the rest of the night
The last song begins
And SUGA was going to KILL Akaashi. How could he be so reckless
He and Daichi btw are way too focused to keep everyone in check to really focus on what you and Kuroo were doing
You keep to singing to the song and feel Kuroos lips on your neck
„I do think the only way to save you is that you stay really close by my side for the rest of the evening“ he growls and kisses your neck
„To hide something?“ You tease and press your his against his crotch
NOW the last song is up
And yes sorry I had to use this
PONY - Ginuwine
SO you’re now fully feeling yourself
And push Kuroo down on the sofa (Its a big one ok)
RIGHT between KENMA AND LEV
And you start giving him kind of a ✨lap dace ✨
You trun around, your hands gliding up and down ypur hips and you move roll your body
Bend over back up and walk to Kuroo kneeling over him ( like his legs are in-between yours ) And you hover over him moving as if your riding him, hands moving up and down your body
SO your in your Element, Kuroos is enjoying it and everything is fine right?
No
KENMA on your left isn’t moving? He’s trying his best to NOT look next to him
But now you stand up again?? And he is straight up looking at you??
And you move your body in such a sexy way??
He never thought of you in that way and now he’s all SHY
LEV could’t take his eyes off of you even for just a second
In his mind he’s just : omg omg omg omg - mum I have sinned
He doesn’t even realise that his nose started bleeding?
Like ? Is this what it feels like when you’re watching porn??
Is this sex??
Because it SURE feels like sex to him
Hinata is still asking Daichi what’s going on
Tanaka trying to explain it to him AND KAGS but they just don’t get it?
„But why is Kuroo so smug?“ Hinata asks?
„She’s just dancing?“ Kags
„I woudnt call this just dancing“ Bokuto smirks
So now it makes klick in Hinata head
And he FINALLY realises what’s going on
„OMG Y/N STOP“ he screams and grabs you and pulls you away from Kuroo
Lev and Kenma wake up from their trance
„Haha Hinata chill“ Kuroo laughs and CAUSALLY crosses his legs
„CHILL. THIS WAS REAL LIFE PORN?“ Sugawara screams
„I thought you’d know that this wasn’t porn?“ Akaashi laughs
„ ITS NOT FUNNY. JUST look at poor LEV!“
And everyone does
And start laughing
„Uhm I go to the bathroom real quick“ he gets up and runs out of the room
„Have funnnn“ Kuroo teases
„Now Hinata can I get y/n back?“ He smirks
„NO!!!“
„Omg Hinata let me go“ you laugh and walk over to Kuroo who pulls you in his lap for REASONS
„You ruined her !!“ Hinata whines
„I, for once, need to agree with him“ Daichi
You just roll your eyes and look over to Kenma
„Hey Kenma? You okay?“
No answer, Kuroo waves his hand in front of his eyes
Still no reaction
„WOW you BROKE HIM TOO!“ Sugawara complains
Lev’s now back and he can’t look at you anymore after what he just did and most importantly what he thought of
„Why too?“ Kuroo asks and looks around the room just to see most of the others showing no reaction and are rather red
The rest of the evening was quite chill
They decided to play some games
And Kenma lost all the time?
Lev was having a pillow on his lap the whole time
And Hinata was questioning reality because he felt stuff he shouldn’t feel because of you? But now he does and grabs Levs Pillow.
Daichi and Suga are discussing how’s the best way to have THE TALK with Hinata and probs also Kageyama judging by the look on his face.

Yes, Your Highness || Kenma x reader 🔞
I’ve had this on my mind for awhile now and I decided I might as well write it so here’s an AU where reader is a female knight in charge of taking care of Kenma. In this story, the reader is bigger than kenma in my head so idk lol
It was almost sunset by the time you finished your chores around Prince Kenma’s quarters. He sat idly on his bed, waiting for you to finish so you could bathe and prepare him for sleep. The king had only the best knights of the kingdom protect his son. Originally, If you weren’t out on a quest per the king’s commands, you would be standing guard outside the Prince’s quarters during the night. You were even the one to escort him whenever he had business outside of the castle. You’ve had quite a few conversations with the prince, usually during times when he wasn’t able to sleep during the night. However, the Queen realized Kenma had taken a liking to you and ordered you to become somewhat like his personal servant and bodyguard. “He’s never interacted with someone so much before! It might be because you’re both the same age, but I trust you to make sure he is cared for at all times!” Of course, you had no problem with it. He wasn’t a difficult person to be around, especially since he never gave you trouble. In the end, you ended up having to stay in the room right next door to his for safe keeping. Whenever he needed you, you were always there, even when it was just for some company.
It’s been half a year since this sudden change to your daily routine and you found yourself falling for the cat-like prince. I mean who wouldn’t? All of the princesses from other kingdoms have their eyes set only on him. He’s literally the perfect prince. It doesn’t help it that you spend almost every second with him. You get to see him at his best and his worst and you love it all. Honestly, if you had to, you don’t think you could go a day without seeing your precious prince.
“I’m almost done folding your clothes, your highness, afterwards I’ll run your bath and make sure to put extra bubbles in it! I apologize for making you wait so long..” you gave him a soft smile. He only nodded at you before looking down at his bare feet, wiggling his toes patiently. it’s a cute habit of his that he does way too often.
After folding what seemed like every piece of clothing Kenma owned and starting the prince’s bath, you looked over to see him sleeping soundly, a subtle snore escaping his lips. You found yourself walking over to his bed, sitting on the edge as softly as possible trying not to wake him. Kenma had always slept so peacefully when you were around. Although he never verbally said it, it was obvious from his actions that he put his full trust in you and was comfortable enough to be so vulnerable around you.
You studied the soft features of his face. Long lashes, plump lips that were just the right size, the silky hair that graced his forehead. He was truly a beautiful prince.
Shaking his body ever-so gently, you spoke in a hushed tone,” Your highness, it’s time for your bath. I would have liked to let you sleep but the Queen would never forgive me if I allowed you to in such attire.”
Kenma’s eyes fluttered open, exposing his honey, almost golden irises. He sat up enough to let you begin undressing him from his day clothes, before slipping him in your arms to carry him to the bathtub. You remember the first time you had to bathe him, getting over the embarrassment of having to wash a person the same age as you, You were absolutely SHOOK at how smooth and purely untainted his skin was. This is when the first sinful thoughts came into play. Just think of all of the marks I could leave on his body, he wouldn’t be so pure anymore~
The first few minutes of you scrubbing his body were spent in silence. Kenma was never one to talk much, even when it came to you. You sat in a stool behind the tub, lathering shampoo into his hair and making sure to massage his scalp. For some reason, the tension in the air felt different than usual. It felt almost intimate.
Suddenly, Kenma leaned his head back enough to where you could look into his eyes. You had stopped what you were doing, a confused expression on your face.
“What’s the matter, your Highness?” You removed some of the soapy hair that was stuck on his cheek. He didn’t reply, giving you time to become hypnotized by his piercing gaze.
Ba-dump
It took everything in you not to kiss the boy. not to make him completely yours. He didn’t have to say anything to make your heart beat out of your chest. His eyes did all of the work. Your thoughts went back to everything you could do to him. As a knight, You’ve had plenty experience, with both women and men, and you were set on showing Kenma all of your skills one day. He’d be in for a wild ride.
“join me.”
A moment had passed before it finally clicked in your head and you almost fell out of your stool, “ HUH??!?!”
Seems like that day came earlier than expected.
His straight-faced expression never changed, but his voice was low and it took him a second to repeat himself, ”I want you to join me.”
You couldn’t help the smirk appearing on your lips, “Wouldn’t that be inappropriate, your highness?”
He didn’t respond, only pouting with a shrug of his shoulders before averting his gaze. You didn’t like that. That’s not the expression that you want on his face.
“make room..” Although the tub was a nice size, you were somewhat bigger than kenma, that being in height and in muscle. You began taking off the layers of clothing you had on. You never wore your armor doing chores around the Prince’s room, only a simple gown that was easy to move around in. Never breaking eye contact with the prince, you stripped from your clothes. He watched you intently , his straight face never faltering. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking and It filled you with so much anticipation, your body seemed to shiver.
As you stepped into the tub, Kenma scooted up some to let you position yourself behind him, one leg on either side of his body, you tried to keep some distance so your chest wouldn’t be directly on his back.
Self-control was getting harder and harder to hold on to, not with the way he watched you from the corner of his eye. The air became so thick with many different emotions that it could have been sliced with a knife. You could just picture it, having him under you, whining to touch him more, to please let him cum. The thought sent a tingling feeling from your toes straight to your finger tips. Maybe it’s the heat of the tub, or just because you haven’t been pleased in awhile, but you needed him.
You began washing his hair once again to get your mind off of the sinful thoughts overwhelming it. It wasn’t helping that Kenma was letting out such satisfying noises from your ministrations.
“Does that feel good, your highness?” Smiling down at him, he leaned back against your chest, squishing your breast against his back to look up at you. His eyes were low and somewhat darker than usual, probably from the heat. He didn’t speak, only replied with a nod and a content sigh.
You let your hands travel farther down his body, swiping the sponge across his chest. Although you were focused on cleaning him, Kenma never looked away from your face. He was only centimeters away from yours, your breath fanning over his lips. Swiping a little bit too harshly over his nipple, Kenma held in a groan, his eyes becoming even darker.
Your smile slowly changed into something more sinister,” What was that, puddin’? Did you like that?” repeating that same motion, you stroked the sponge across his nipples once again, getting a more intense reaction from the prince.
Kenma dropped his head down, this time fully letting out a moan. damn, what a sight. A pretty prince damn near crumbling in your hands, and you haven’t even done anything yet.
You brought one hand to his cheek, pulling his face back to yours while the other ghosted over his lower abdomen. He focused on your eyes before lowering to look at your lips. ah fuck it.
Your mouth was moving before your brain could even think, “ Do you want me to touch you, puddin’?” You let your lips barely graze over his, trying to see if he would move away or not. When he only licked his lips, part of his tongue touching your bottom one, you continued,” Do you want me to make you feel good?”
Kenma letting out choked “yes” was all you needed to wrap your arms around his body, grasping his already erect cock while the other held him around his torso. He reached one of his hands up to bury it in your hair, forcing you into a heated make-out session.
Your thumb skinned over the tip of his cock, causing a gasp to fall from the prince’s lips and his head to be thrown back. He’s never been touched like this before, and it was showing. You took this chance to attack his neck, leaving little red marks here and there. As much as you wanted to make marks that would last, you knew someone would see them and find out about your little fun time, and you’d rather be able to stick around with the prince a while longer. While one hand continued to tease his pretty cock, the other found its way into kenma’s hair, pulling it back to give you better access to his throat. there you peppered and licked hot kisses from his chin to his jaw line, then straight to his ear lobe.
“You could have told me sooner that this is what you wanted. You know my duty is to serve you, your Highness.” The hand teasing his cock went and groped his balls, massaging them in a way that turned kenma dizzy. He ended up pushing closer to your body, the feeling of your pert nipples scraping across his back sending tingles down your spine.
“(y/n)...please.” He had his eyes closed shut while his mouth was drooped open in pure bliss. You felt him grind into your hand, trying to force more friction.
“Hm? What was that puddin? I don’t know what you want unless you tell me?” you teased.
“I-”
“No puddin, look me in the eyes and tell me what I can do to serve you.” When he opened his eyes, you gave him a sweet smile. His features were painted with rose, eyes clouded with nothing but pure lust. Even like this, his beauty never faded.
“ Make me cum, (y/n).. ” He breathed out.
“yes, your highness.” With a satisfied hum, you brought yourself to your knees, getting kenma to sit on the edge of the tub with his back against the cold tile.
“I want to hear you, okay?” You placed yourself between the prince’s knees, taking his pretty pink cock in one hand, giving it one good pump before letting your tongue explore the tip. A lewd moan fell from his lips while hands weakly gripped your wrist.
You stared up into intense gold as your tongue traced all around his tip and along his slit. Other than the soap, you tasted the slight saltiness of precum along his tip.
“Fuck, yes.” Kenma moaned in a raggedy tone. His cocked twitched in your hand as if he was already about to reach his release.
“potty mouth are we? I haven’t even started and you’re already about to cum? Puddin’, you wanted me this much?” Finally, You dragged you tongue along the underside of his entire length, before taking him into your mouth. Starting off by slowly bobbing your head, Your tongue never stopped swiping along his tip, making sure to give it extra attention.
Kenma couldn’t stop the moans from falling out, turning you on so much you couldn’t help but use your free hand to try to relieve some of the pressure in your core.
“You taste so fucking good, puddin~” you praised, speeding up your bobbing. The tip of his cock only reached the back of your throat, but thick enough to make you drool. Your fingers never stopped working your clit, occasionally dipping down to feel at your entrance.
“(y/n), fuck, please, yes, i’m so-” His voice was so strained as he jutted his hips into you, which encouraged you to take him in deeper, so deep your nose was able to touch his pelvis. Your eyes watered but if felt as if this is what you were meant to be; you were meant to please Kenma in any and every way.
His cock throbbed in your throat and kenma’s pace became sloppy. His back arched off of the wall, head thrown back in a whiny mess. You felt yourself come undone in the bath water, a moan rumbling in your throat, vibrations going straight to his cock.
With one last harsh suck, you milked him of his release, salty white cum shooting into your mouth, covering your wet muscle. He looked back down at you and you showed him your cum-covered tongue, which caused his face to turn into a darker shade of red. such a pure boy~
An idea came to mind.
“Wanna taste?” you brought him back down into an open-mouthed kiss, dominating his lips and drawing moans from deep within him. The semen dripping down from both of your chins fell back into the tub, neither of your caring. Kenma broke away from the kiss, trying to get a breath of air. He looked sinful. His own cum dripped for the corners of his mouth,eyes blown out with lust, seeming lost from his recent orgasm. The soapy hair of his head stuck to his cheeks, lips puffed out from the abuse. Just pure sin. This image will be engraved into your mind for the rest of your life.
“You did so well, your highness~” You wanted to do so much more to him, you were no where near done yet, but a man’s voice from outside of the bathroom brought you back to your senses.
“Prince Kenma? I know it’s quite late but a princess from 3 kingdom’s away has came to see you. She’ll be staying the night for a couple of days. The queen asked me to come retrieve you.” You noticed the voice to be Kuroo’s, your fellow knight and partner.
Kenma looked into your eyes in a plea to continue, but duty came first. In the end he was going to have to marry a princess, not you, no matter how much head you’d give him.
“I was just getting him ready for bed, Kuroo. If you would give us a moment so I can dress him appropriately.” You sighed.
Leaving one last kiss on his lips, you retrieved a few buckets of water to rinse both you and the prince off before getting dressed.
~~~~~
In your full set of armor, you escorted Kenma to main dining room area, where you saw a beautiful lady, although looking much older than the prince, dressed in a fluffy, silk dress sitting next to the spot Kenma usually seats himself. She was chatting with Kuroo, obviously flirting. Glancing down at Kenma, he did not look happy.
You bent down to whisper near his ear, “Is there something the matter, your highness? Are you not pleased with the princess?”
He looked at you through his peripheral vision with a pout and spoke in the same tone as you,” It’s not that.. I-.. Can we finish where we left off?..”
You couldn’t help the smirk gracing your lips. Blowing softly on the prince’s ear, you laughed through your nose, “Of course, your highness~”
Aw hell idk. I might make this a 2-3 part series? if people like this enough. oof
So. I made a bet with my friend that I could get through Omegaverse Haikyuu fanfiction because he says I can’t so if I read https://archiveofourown.org/works/13330632/chapters/30514041 that I’m going to get free icecream and twenty bucks.
But still, Bokuaka! Bokuaka is beautiful, I should rant about it more actually
This is me talking about this fic as I read, so it’ll be updated until I finish
Note, I’ve finished and it’s very very long. You’ve been warned
There’s my review and meta at the end of this as well as some critiques
Spoilers ahead.
“The Jewel of Seijou”
THE WHAT NOW
IWAOIIII
Bokuaka is so fucking cute dear god.
Oh. It’s sinful now
Ushijima better stop throwing shade at my boi’s
“"I can't believe you all think that you can go against the crown and live!" Ushishima says silencing them all. The alpha was slowly emitting his pheromones wanting to show them all his superiority. No one said a word against him. "Toru! I didn't know you'll be as lowly to use your family name to gather us here!" The alpha seethed to the omega that could have been his wife. Iwazumi hackles raised and bared his lips at the beginning of a growl. "And you!" Ushijima turned to Bokuto full on emitting his pheromones making the rest of the alpha's shoulder hackle cautiously and Oikawa to cling at Iwazumi. But Bokuto meet Ushijima calmly, unfazed by the bloodlust while Akaashi was frozen to his spot but didn't show any emotion.”
So what we get out of this paragraph is
1) Bitchy Ushi. I love Ushijima don’t get me wrong he’s precious but like. This fic Ushijima? Son of a bitch walking up in here like “Toru! How dare you be so lowly—“ and fucking trying to dominate everyone.
2) Protective Iwaizumi. Protect the precious Seijou Jewel. Do it, fight for him, protect him he’s scared.
3) Is Ushijima salty because Oikawa didn’t choose him? Oh god, he is isn’t he.
4) Akaashi’s go to emotion isn’t emotion.
5) Shits about to go down, Bokuto is gonna flip eventually, if Ushi threatens anyone—it’d probably be Oikawa or Akaashi seeing as they’re omega’s—I can see Bokuto and Iwaizumi just flipping their shit.
God I’m way to invested. Why did I read this
USHIJIMA IS A COWARDLY LITTLE BITCH IN THIS FIC, STAB HIM HINATA
D O I T
Awww Kageyama cares, Tsukki cares
OH MY GOD TENDOU!
More people came surrounding them. "What the hell," Akaashi recognized Iwazumi's voice.
Iwaizumi’s reaction is the only respectable reaction.
Wait this has major character death in the tags
Fuck
Everyone has decided that Oikawa and Akaashi must be defended but just once I want them to flip their shit and kill someone. Just once.
Bokuto, Lev and Iwaizumi all want to protect Oikawa but Iwaizumi doesn’t even fucking trust em.
Why does everyone act like Nishinoya not wanting to move on so quickly is a bad thing? It’s perfectly reasonable and I hate how everyone is like “What’s wrong with you, do you not like us?” And getting super standoffish or snappish simply because Nishinoya loves Asahi so much and doesn’t want to feel like they didn’t need him.
I really don’t like how Nishinoya/Tanaka/Ennoshita became a thing in this fic. It would be cute if it didn’t just happen because Nishinoya was desperate and if he wasn’t he wouldn’t have fucked Tanaka.
Oh dear god I don’t want Kenma to die.
Oh thank god it’s okay.
Fuck I forgot they had boobs
Did Bokuto almost name the Kuroken baby Oya but changed last minute?
BO ISN’T COMING BACK IS HE?????????
I’m feelin a little sniffly. I might fucking cry over an Omegaverse fic. Oh how the mighty have fallen
Oh my god the stars. I don’t think Bo is coming back y’all. I’m so nervous
The fuckin royals aren’t getting Keiji. No. Nuh-uh FUCK THAT SHIT
THAT’S BOKUTO’S MATE STAY AWAY FROM HIM
-cue mac worrying about oikawa because seijou is allied with fukurodani and an easy way to tear seijou away from the alliance is to kidnap oikawa and iwaizumi might split to keep him safe and ushi fucking knows this and possibly tendou also oiks is pretty as fuck-
BOKUTO IS OKAY!
Iwaizumi making Bokuto promise to save Oikawa if things went to shit makes me so worried but the same time his lil speech made my IwaOi heart so happy.
Suga bby...
BOKUTO JUST KILLED A FUCKING CHILD
Tendou, Ushijima I never thought I’d say this but I fucking hate them right now. They better not hurt the other best Boi’s.
Ushijima is salty as fuck confirmed.
"You truly are a piece of art," Ushijima said gently ...."But not as beautiful as him," the alpha muttered as he threw the omega to the floor.
So, this little snippet sent disgusting shivers down my spine for two reasons.
1) Ushijima just yeeted Akaashi, my son and
2) Any reader knows who the ‘he’ Ushi is talking about is, the only person in this book who is said to be as beautiful as Akaashi. You guessed it, the boi who rejected Ushi-fucking-jima, Jewel of Seijou himself Oikawa Tooru.
The thing that grosses me out the most about this paragraph just on its own is that Ushijima is either guessing about what Oikawa looks like, or he actually knows which overall just gives me the heebie jeebies because Oikawa definitely didn’t want that. What makes my skin crawl in this little snippet is what Ushijima would do when if he got his angry little hands on Oikawa—or Iwaizumi, but Iwa would probably be killed or used as a bargaining chip.
Hmmmmm, I’m pretty sure Ushi is in love with Tendou but the beauty statement still stands possibly???? Unless specified otherwise, because Akaashi and Oikawa are canonically considered the most beautiful people in the fic.
Also this entire chapter just makes me feel so gross, fuck Ushijima man. Fuck him.
My Ushijima loving heart hurts reading this fic.
I just want Akaashi and Oikawa to straight up kill someone. Please, anyone who I don’t care about
I FUCKING SEE THE MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH WARNING AND I DON’T LIKE IT
FUCK
FUCK
FUCK
NOT BOKUTO
WAIT IS HE ALIVE
I WANNA SEE MY LITTLE BOY
HERE HE COMES
I WANT TO SEE MY LITTLE BOY
"I came right on time," Bokuto forced out his voice cracking with emotion. "Now I can engulf you in my arms and brighten your days despite the absence of the sun. You will no longer have to endure the cold winters alone. I'll be with you, I be there for you and our child," The alpha vowed his hands itching in need.
"Are you going to leave us again?" Akaashi needed to know. The omega already knew that he wouldn't be able to survive being apart from the alpha. He knew that he wouldn't win the battle with the overwhelming loneliness.
"The seas could dry up, the mountains could turn to pebbles, the trees could die and the whole world could be on fire and I still won't leave your side."
That was all Akashi needed to hear as he leaped into his alphas arm and let go of all the pain he has held in
I’m not crying I swear
They walked together side by side and Akaashi finally faced them. They were both beaten, bloody, and torn butinstead of feeling satisfaction he felt remorse. They both looked at him with soft, wide eyes, and he realized that this was the moment they were waiting for. They wanted to see the child that they both desperately wanted and Akaashi decided to give them a parting gift.
Akaashi had won, he had won from the very beginning and he held his trophy who was a small babe with golden orbs, with mutant white and black hair. He hadn't lied to Tendou when he had said that the baby looked exactly like his father.
OH MY FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOD I’M SOBBING DON’T TOUCH ME
Meta and Review
So I just read A/B/O for the first time and I knew absolutely nothing about the entire trope that Mpreg existed and to stay the hell away from it. Please remember this in the meta and tell me if there way of dividing characters is ever specified or if it’s just decided by top-bottom dynamics.
Wow.
The story was pretty good outside of what I’m about to talk about. I liked the ships and most of the buildup, the worldbuilding seems solid, the war and UshiTens situation was really interesting to me and it made Ushi and Tendou a bit morally gray and could’ve talked about how people could do bad things for what they thought were the right reason and everything was clean cut.
Overall? Eh. Could’ve been done better
Not onto the rest
This doesn’t seem as toxic or inherently bad as most fics I’ve seen, I didn’t really like how Omega’s are always inherently feminine—the dresses, jewels, how they’re seen as inherently weaker and sometimes helpless, how they’re always referred to as “my lady”—and aren’t really given another choice because they might have the ability to reproduce in A/B/O but they aren’t women. It’s okay if a man is really feminine but for all of them to be? It rubbed my the wrong way.
I wish that the power structure was handled different in A/B/O in general. Omega’s seem to be treated like they’re helpless and I just...don’t like it? Omega’s might be submissive but that doesn’t make them physically weaker and if it did, I would’ve thought they would have picked up some other useful skills like diplomacy or strategy.
As usually, my example of how a character could’ve been handled better is Oikawa.
He’s my favorite character and I adored him but he just didn’t really deliver. It felt like he was being treated like a kid throughout this entire fic, it didn’t seem like he was doing anything during the war. Even if Omega’s don’t have a lot of physically prowess and abilities, what happened to Oikawa’s strategic and analytical nature? Why was it never mentioned in any of Bokuto’s POV sections because out all the leaders of the Allied Kingdoms, Oikawa is the best strategist—Kuroo is the exception, not the rule and I thought they should’ve been working together because smort boys—but he was simply hidden away.
Now I have no problems with all the protective IwaOi scenes when they’re in immediate danger—it makes perfect sense if Omega’s are physically weaker but have other usable talents that are taken seriously—and Oikawa simply can’t talk his way out of said problem.
I do however, have a problem with cowering Oikawa. That feels so OOC at the beginning of the first scene I cited, where is all of the quick wit and worthless pride from the show? Now, it makes sense for Oikawa to start getting scared and simply slip behind Iwaizumi once Ushijima tries to dominate everyone and all the Alphas start freaking out if Oikawa is at an actual, physical disadvantage—I feel like the alpha’s their have similar frames, or at least most of them do. Bokuto, Ushijima, Kuroo and Iwaizumi are jacked and beefy, everyone but Iwa is relatively tall too. Now, Oikawa’s tall too but he’s much thinner and leaner. I’d be scared too if everyone could break me like a twig if it came down to it—but no ??? Apparently at the first sign of any conflict he just gets scared??? He doesn’t know what’s going on in his own fucking kingdom ???
This is not Oikawa.
I didn’t like how they treated most of the Omega’s actually, it felt like they were just reverted to helpless damsels in distress. What happened to Kenma’s observation skills? Nishinoya’s everything?
More importantly, what decides Alpha’s and Omega’s? Is it up in the air like gender is? What are Beta’s then? It can’t just be who’s top and who’s bottom, that would mean the alpha-beta-omega- status wouldn’t be decided until you had a mate
From what I’ve seen in the fic, it goes by ship dynamics but what if the characters who had more strategic, cunning, observant traits and weren’t as buff and muscly would be Omega’s and had the brain power while characters who relied more on physical prowess would be Alpha’s and dominant in a purely physical way sometimes while characters who were an odd combination of the two would be Beta’s.
Going by my logic, instead of the top being the alpha and the bottom just being an omega without any personality it would be...
Bokuto- Alpha, like he was in the story. He’s definitely more physically inclined then Akaashi.
Akaashi: Omega, same as in the fic. Not to say he isn’t athletic but he relies more on his mind.
Iwaizumi- Alpha, like in the fic but from a purely physical standpoint and because he can rein Oikawa in when his friend starts going nuts.
Oikawa - Beta, he’s quite powerful but he’s also manipulative, strategic and his mind is scary as fuck.
Kuroo- Beta, he relies on his physical prowess and dorkily perfect brain a lot so he’s also a mixture of both.
Kenma- Omega, physically he’s a twig but his mind is what makes him the brain of Nekoma
Hinata- Alpha, he doesn’t use his brain a lot and has a lot of physical power
Kageyama - Beta, he’s pretty smart when it comes to volleyball and he’s also physically strong
Suga - Omega, he’s quite clever and his brain power out ways his physical prowess by a landslide
Daichi- Beta, he firms strategies and relies on his brain, plus his killer thighs
Tsukishima - Beta, he has his hue fur and athleticism but his brain power is also strong as fuck
Yamaguchi - Beta, he seems to be really people smart and eventually his serves are pretty good.
Can Betas get into a relationship with other Betas? I don’t know or care, we stan Alpha-Alpha, Beta-Beta and Omega-Omega ships here
I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS HOW IT WORKS THO
do I have to read more
That Makes One of Us [scenario/one-shot] (fem!reader)
request: hi!!! hopefully you’re having a good day/afternoon,, could i please request a scenario for an s/o who broke up with kuroo even though he still loves her — and the next time he sees her, she’s in a relationship with someone from karasuno pls!
YES AN ANGST ASK!!! i’ve been waiting for so long to get one, tysm anon :)
content: angst!
word count: 1315
A simple latte and a single cookie was Kuroo's usual order at the nearby coffee shop that was only a few blocks away from his home. He went there on the weekends to study or listen to music, sometimes read a book if one caught his interest. He ordered the same thing every weekend without fail, unknowingly vowing to himself to never order anything else.
It’s not that he loved lattes and cookies. It’s that you loved them.
Sometimes he was lucky enough to catch you on a weekend ordering a latte and a cookie. He would avoid eye contact and tried his absolute hardest not to face the girl that made him feel butterflies swarm in his stomach. But, the heartbroken boy couldn't resist a glimpse at you, noticing your changes, memorizing every part of you as best he could.
He knew it was wrong to do so. Who would want their ex to be so emotionally attached to them that they basically drink in the sight of them every chance the person got? He knew it was wrong to stare, but he couldn't help the ache in his chest when he remembered the day you called it quits.
• • •
"It's a cycle, Tetsu. It's always an apology after another apology!"
"I don't understand what you want from me! You won't tell me what you want. Do you want me to never apologize?"
Frustration poisoned the air. Each word that was spewing from the two of you was laced with blame, and neither of you knew how to take it. This argument was fueled by tension from the past two months, lasting the both of you a hefty hour worth of arguing.
"You never spend time with me anymore. It's always volleyball, school, and hanging with Kenma, but never me!"
"You knew I had responsibilities when I asked you out. And let's not forget when you forgot my birthday and hung out with your friends instead!"
Your shoulders slump with guilt at his words. It was true, you did accidentally forget. You never meant to, and you already had a gift for him prior to his birthday, but the lack of attention you were receiving from the dark-haired middle blocker was at an all time low. It was no wonder you forgot, but you knew it still stung him. Even so, you couldn't carry all of the burden.
"I wouldn't have forgotten if you had actually remembered to text me back!"
"Oh, so now it's my fault you forgot my birthday? What kind of fucking logic is that, Y/n?"
"All I'm trying to say is that I'm not the only one at fault. You never make time for me anymore."
A broken squeak escaped your voice, triggering tears that were just begging to fall. Your face and posture remained furious, but your eyes gave your raging exterior away. Still, you refused to break eye contact with him to protect your pride. After all, isn't that five-letter sin what got you two caught up in this impossible battle in the first place?
For a moment, a flood of sorrow and guilt struck Kuroo. He wanted to hold you, tell you he was sorry and that you were right. Deep down, he knew you both were at fault, and deep down he knows that he did you wrong. It was silent in his bedroom as the two of you stood frozen. Seconds grew longer and longer until you couldn't take it anymore. You grabbed the doorknob to exit his room when his fingers wrapped around your wrist.
"Don't go."
That was all he whispered. His pleading eyes said everything else— his distress, his desperation, and even his hope. But you couldn't bear that sight anymore. You didn't deserve to forgive and forget his neglect. You deserved to forgive and see the change in his insufferable behavior.
He had his chances. But, you could only take so much.
You yanked your arm from him and turn away, croaking words that were long overdue, yet you both were too stubborn to admit it.
"I'm sorry, Kuroo. Goodbye."
• • •
It was always funny for Kuroo to remember how he was pathetic enough to let you leave so easily. He didn't scream for you to come back, nor did he text you the day after. He knew you better off without him anyway. He knew exactly what you deserved, and he knew he was too emotionally immature to deliver.
But, that doesn't mean he doesn't feel regret.
He feels it eat away at him ever since that night. It crawls onto his skin and seeps into his bones, making him shiver at the thought of you— No, the reality of losing you.
This particular weekend was when his regret was lingering for longer than it usually did. He stayed at the coffee shop for half of his morning and the entire afternoon, trying to get his work done while also daydreaming about how you used to watch him do just that. You came through the door earlier that morning and ordered your usual, but instead of a single latte and cookie, it was two lattes and cookies. It was a change that Kuroo didn't think much of, but he noticed it nonetheless.
Following a few minutes after you was a guy wearing a familiar bun that was loosely held by a hair tie, which Kuroo recognized was your favorite scrunchie. How odd, he thought. How did he get that?
His question was cruelly answered as he watched the guy's hand tenderly make its way to your shoulder, causing you to look up and smile in his direction, to which the familiar boy returned. He soon realized that the figure next to you was in fact Azumane Asahi, a third year from Karasuno.
What was he doing all the way here in Tokyo? Why was he touching you like that? Why did you smile so warmly at him?
He knew the answer to every one of those questions, and each answer sunk his heart deeper and deeper into the sea of misery he drowned himself in. As Asahi pressed a delicate kiss to your temple, Kuroo feels a tear slide down his cheek that he didn't realize was forming. Neither of you had noticed him in the shop, and neither of you noticed him when you left.
Meeting Asahi was good for you. Actually, it was perfect for you: A boy that was so sweet and shy and tried his best to uphold his responsibilities as your boyfriend. He was everything Kuroo wasn’t, and he helped you pick up the pieces Kuroo left behind. Asahi never forgot you, and better yet, he put in effort into loving you. Real effort that was expressed in the days he visited and texts that were never left unanswered. Effort that was shown in the flowers he bought you on Valentine’s Day and the extra bento he got you every time he came over. Effort that was in the form of his shoulder and his loving arms, which enveloped you as you cried your heart out.
You were finally a priority like you deserved. And best of all, you were happy.
That day, Kuroo ordered black coffee for the rest of his afternoon. The bitter taste punished his tongue with every sip, but he didn’t care. He could have soaked in boiling water and not give a shit about the scalding of his skin. It’s what he felt he deserved.
Still, he smiled when he saw you smile at your boyfriend, even if it wasn’t him. It had been so long since he’d seen your cheeks meet your eyes so genuinely. Your happiness was all he ever wanted. It was a gift he never learned to appreciate until now. But, at least you found your happiness. That’s all that mattered.
“That makes one of us,” Kuroo whispered dryly.
hear me out: Akaashi Keiji, roommates au! trope: meeting messy & prompt #30
my first official one-shot for hq is an Akaashi fic. who would have guessed. there’s some language and mildly crude humor in this one. it took me a hot minute to figure out how to do a roommate au + meet messy, but I think it turned out okay! also, I see Akaashi as the quiet teasing type, so I hope the characterization is okay!
“What do you mean you’re running late?” you ask, glaring at your phone as you speed walk down the street. A mumbled curse escapes you as someone walks by and jostles your shoulder, nearly knocking the box you’re carrying right out of your arms. You shoot the man a sour look before turning back to your friend, irritation already softening into a pout. “Kuroo, I’m supposed to be meeting this guy in like ten minutes, what do I do?”
Kuroo’s lips twitch, looking torn between apologetic and amused as he tries to cover up a smile. “You’ll be fine,” he tells you, not for the first time. “And I would have been on time if someone hadn’t—shit!” Kuroo disappears from the frame, hissing what sounds like ‘demon’ under his breath as the camera shifts.
Suddenly, you’re staring at Yaku instead, his tawny eyes narrowed as he hunches over Kuroo’s phone. “Don’t believe his lies,” he says, scoffing when Kuroo grumbles something in response, voice muffled. “The only reason we’re late is because Kuroo—”
“Oi! Yakkun!”
Kuroo grabs at his phone, but Yaku is faster, ducking under his arm and barely managing to evade his former captain’s outstretched hand. The camera is jostled again, giving you a shaky view of the subway that has your eyes rolling. Even now they still act like bickering teenagers half the time. It’s as endearing as it is annoying, but you’ve known them since high school, so you really aren’t surprised.
It takes a few seconds for the camera to stabilize again, and this time you’re faced with the voice of reason among the three of them. He rubs the back of his neck, smile a little embarrassed as Kuroo and Yaku continue to bicker behind him.
“Kai,” you greet him, a smile automatically tugging at your lips in response to his. “I didn’t know you and Yaku were coming with!” You knew that Kuroo asked Kenma to come with—as expected, he declined—but you had no idea the rest of the former Nekoma third years would be making an appearance.
He shrugs with one shoulder, casually ignoring your friends arguing behind him. “We heard you might need help moving boxes later,” is all he tells you.
“Hopefully,” you tell him. “And thanks. The main reason I invited Kuroo was for the muscle anyway.” A muffled sound of protest comes from off to Kai’s left, but you know Kuroo is secretly preening from the pseudo compliment.
Kai only nods, smiling again. “We’ll be there as soon as we can. It shouldn’t take us more than twenty minutes.”
Before you can respond, Yaku shoves himself under Kai’s arm to pin you with a firm look. “If he tries anything, go for his—”
“Give me that!” The phone is plucked out of Kai’s hands and suddenly you’re staring at Kuroo again. He glares down at Yaku, eyes rolling, before he turns his attention to you. “Twenty minutes,” he tells you firmly.
“I’ll hold you to that,” you say, quickening your steps. Pulling your gaze from Kuroo’s, you glance up at a street sign and wrinkle your nose when you realize how close you are to meeting your new potential roommate. “You promise he’s not weird, right?” you ask suddenly, looking at your phone in time to see his brows furrow. “Because so help me, Kuroo, if you’re letting me move in with some creep, I’ll never forgive you.”
The only reason you even agreed to maybe move in with a complete stranger is because he’s a friend of Kuroo’s. Apparently, they’ve known each other since high school during their volleyball days, but you’ve never had a chance to meet before now. With his friend having an empty room and you being in desperate need of a new place to stay, Kuroo’s suggestion only made sense. And you trust his judgement. Usually.
The look Kuroo sends you is nothing short of offended. He presses his hand to his chest like you’ve wounded him, and you roll your eyes at his theatrics. Despite that, Kuroo is serious when he responds. “Do you think I would let you move in with someone I didn’t trust?” When you shake your head, he continues. “Akaashi doesn’t bite. I promise.” He grins. “Unless you’re into that.”
You make a face. “I’m hanging up now.”
He cackles. “We’ll be there soon. Be safe.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you wave him off, glancing up at another sign, “just get your ass over here.” Yaku and Kai call out their own goodbyes before you end the call, your smile lingering as you shove your phone into your back pocket, still struggling with the box you’re carrying.
Of course, that’s the moment your morning goes from bad to worse.
You’re so busy working your phone into your pocket with one hand and juggling a box with the other that you don’t see the man hurrying towards you, also not paying attention to his surroundings.
You shoulder collides with his. You stumble. The box starts to slip from your grasp. “Shit,” you hiss, flinching as hot coffee splashes down the front of your shirt. It isn’t hot enough to hurt, thankfully, but it’s bound to leave a nasty, uncomfortably wet stain on your chest for the rest of the day. Perfect. That’s exactly what you needed five minutes before you’re supposed to meet your new roommate for the first time. So much for a good first impression.
The man who bumped into you grunts in surprise. He stumbles back as your eyes snap up, and you note with the smallest hint of smug satisfaction that there’s an equally dark spot staining his crisp, white button-up.
Dark blue eyes flicker up to meet yours, wide in alarm.
In any other situation, you might have taken a moment to appreciate the sharp angle of his jaw, or his stupidly pretty face, but right now you’re nervous, stressed, and wet, so all you do is glare and snap, “Watch where you’re going.” His lips part, but you’re already storming past him, mumbling “asshole” under your breath.
You’re already halfway down the street before he regains his bearings; you don’t notice his eyes following you until you disappear.
…
Fuck me, is the first thought that comes to your mind when you find yourself standing in front of your potential roommate’s apartment. There’s a post-it note stuck to the front door, telling you and Kuroo to let yourselves in because your new roommate had an errand to run, but would be back soon. This, of course, wouldn’t be a problem if Kuroo wasn’t late and wasn’t the one with a key to said apartment.
You aren’t sure what’s worse: having to stand here for the next however many minutes like an idiot until Kuroo arrives, or his friend coming home first and having to deal with that conversation without your moral support. Neither option is particularly appealing, but you’re staring to get odd looks from the neighbors and it’s really fucking hot outside, so you’d take the awkward conversation over waiting.
A brief text to Kuroo informs you that they just got off the subway, but should be here soon. You shift your weight from one foot to the next, biting your lip as you continue weighing your options.
Eventually you just say fuck it and slide one of the bobby-pins from your hair. No one has to know.
Unfortunately, picking a lock isn’t nearly as easy as you’ve been led to believe.
“Seriously?” you grumble, jiggling the doorknob and squinting at the pin you have jammed into the lock. Maybe this was a bad idea. Now you definitely look like a creep.
“Need any help with that?”
You lurch away from the door with a yelp. The bobby-pin falls out of your hand and clatters to the floor, only incriminating you further. Whirling around, your expression becomes one of horror when you meet a pair of questioning eyes.
Oh shit, he’s hot, is your first thought, your breath catching when you lock eyes with the most gorgeous man you’ve even seen in your life. Messy dark hair. Deep blue eyes. A sharp jaw. All lean muscle. Oh, yeah. Definitely a former athlete. Your eyes wander down to his chest where the top buttons of his dress-shirt are undone. You glance at his collarbone before moving lower, freezing.
Your second thought is, oh shit, I spilled coffee on this guy and called him an asshole. The stain on his shirt matches yours perfectly, and wow, okay, today really couldn’t have gotten any worse, could it? Not only is your new potential roommate hot as sin, but you’ve already made a complete ass of yourself in front of him, the breaking and entering aside.
He clears his throat, staring at you expectantly; you blush, face burning as you realize you’ve been gaping at him openly.
“This isn’t what it looks like,” you blurt, like an idiot. It’s exactly what it looks like. The way his right eyebrow quirks upwards tells you he isn’t fooled, and you’re surprised when he doesn’t call you out on the lie.
“You must be Kuroo’s friend,” he says instead, observing you carefully. The, admittedly correct, assumption makes you more embarrassed, if possible. You aren’t sure what the assumption says about you, or Kuroo for that matter, but right now you kind of just want to lie down on the floor and die a little bit.
You wet your lips, trying not to squirm under his intense gaze. It’s analytical, but not calculating, and your breathing hitches as he continues to stare. “I… yeah.”
It comes as a surprise when he only nods, eyes snapping away from you as he digs his keys out of his pocket. You step aside quickly as he steps up to the door, his arm brushing up against yours. You stiffen, but he doesn’t shy away from the contact. “Sorry to make you wait,” he says, pulling the post-it note off the door and turning towards the lock.
“It’s fine.” You grab your discarded box off the ground, holding it to your chest as he opens the door and gestures for you to walk inside. Your smile feels forced as you comply. With your head ducked towards your chest and your eyes on the floor, you don’t notice the smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
You should apologize, right? Yeah, you should totally apologize for spilling coffee on him and yelling at him in the middle of the street.
He follows you inside and shuts the door, meeting your eyes as you spin around to look at him. “I’m really sorry about—”
But he’s already shaking his head. “I wasn’t watching either,” he tells you, ending your apology before it can start. “Akaashi Keiji,” he says, holding out his hand for you to shake, like a normal person.
You tell him your name, trying not to shiver at the way his fingers wrap around yours. Fuck, his hands are big. Like, really big. And warm. You definitely wouldn’t mind having them wrapped around your—moving on.
The corner of Akaashi’s mouth twitches like he knows exactly what you’re thinking. “So,” he starts casually, dark eyes watching you carefully, “when would you like to move in?”
Take My Hand
Summary: Kuroo has a song stuck in his head. Or to be more precise, Daichi seems to have a song stuck in his head and Kuroo finds himself absolutely addicted to it. What does it mean? And what could it lead to?
A/n: This is for Kurodai Mid-Birthday Week 2019! I went with the song inspired prompt and it took me almost til the end of the fic to figure out which song I wanted, haha!
It is ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love With You- by Elvis Presley’. It’s an oldie but a goodie! :D
You can also read on AO3 at: https://archiveofourown.org/works/21741760
Enjoy! :D
“Hmm… hmmmm… hmmmmmmmm…,”
“Daichi?”
“Hmmhmm… hmmmhmmmm… hmmmmm…,”
“Sa’amura?”
Kuroo peeked his head around the corner of their shared apartment, glancing at his roommate who seemed to be lost in his own little world. He had to bite back a smile as he saw the way the former Karasuno captain continued to hum from his spot in front of the kitchen counter. Swaying back and forth as he mixed together something for dinner he seemed to have lost himself completely to a song in his head.
They had been living off campus for awhile now. It had seemed like a good idea. Both were still getting their feet under them and renting an apartment together and sharing expenses would definitely make things easier. Not to mention they knew one another from high school and a friendship had definitely grown from their rivalry all those years ago. Daichi was a bit more serious than Kuroo and helped to ground him a bit. Kuroo was bit more outgoing and helped to pull Sawamura from his shell. Their cohabitation was definitely beneficial to both parties, but Kuroo did wish that he’d had an inkling of what was going to happen so he could’ve prepared himself a bit more.
In their time living together they had grown used to each others little idiosyncrasies. This one in particular was one of Kuroo’s favorites not that he would ever say anything to Daichi. If he did, the man might stop altogether. There was just something so… endearing about catching the other man in these moments. He never sang… always just a little hummed song and only when he thought he was alone or he got caught up in a task.
However, it was always the same song.
It had started just a few weeks into them living together. Kuroo had been hidden away in his room attempting to get in some extra studying and before he’d known it the clock had read somewhere near one. Groaning he’d leaned back from his small desk, feeling his spine pop pleasantly and had decided to head into the kitchen to find a snack.
That was the first time he’d heard it.
Making his way quietly down the hallway he’d heard a quiet mumbling. No… not a mumble. A rumble? No. They hadn’t quite fit the sound either. As he drew closer to the little kitchen he’d noticed that a light had been left on and his brow furrowed. Quietly he’d glanced around the corner and seen Sawamura standing over by their small stove. He was stirring something in a saucepan that smelled suspiciously of chocolate, but what caught Kuroo’s attention more was that he finally registered the noise.
The man was humming.
It was quiet and soft, but a song nonetheless.
Kuroo felt something in his heart flutter as he heard it and he’d had to take a moment to find the breath he’d lost. Why had it effecting him so? He’d actually had to compose himself against the hallway wall before working up the nerve to make his entrance. Not wanting to startle the other he’d taken a deep breath and made his footsteps a little louder as he entered into the kitchen. As expected, the humming had instantly stopped, but Daichi didn’t look startled or embarrassed. Actually he’d turned his head and given Kuroo a little smile, making Kuroo wonder if he’d even known he’d been doing it in the first place.
“So… couldn’t sleep either?” Daichi had asked, opening one of their cupboards and pulling out another mug.
“No… studying got away from me… a bit… by three hours,” Kuroo had answered honestly, scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish grin, still feeling the way his heart beat a little faster in his chest.
“Well… lucky for you that I made a bit too much cocoa to help with my own sleeplessness. Here… I’ll pour you a cup as well.”
The warm feeling that infiltrated Kuroo’s chest upon hearing the soft humming only grew at the gesture. He’d happily accepted the drink and they’d spent another half hour chatting in the kitchen before they’d finally called it an evening when Daichi had almost nodded off at their kitchen table.
After that one evening, there had been a few more instances of Kuroo being caught off guard by that humming and each time his heart felt like it was going to flutter out of his chest.
It was around the fifth time that he realized that perhaps… possibly… he may be harboring a bit of a flame for the other man. There was no denying that when they were younger he’d had a crush on the guy. Who didn’t?! Or to be more specific… who couldn’t? He was strong, smart, charming… you’d have to be an idiot to not have had a crush on one Sawamura Daichi. However, Kuroo had simply pushed back his feelings. It was supposed to have been a highschool crush, nothing more. They were all getting ready to start their university careers and who would have time for something trivial like that? He’d been completely content to just continue a friendship nothing more.
But…
But….
Then he’d had to hear that soft, gentle humming that made his heart flutter, his stomach feel like there were butterflies inside and his knees feel like jelly… and now all those old feelings came rushing back like a tsunami.
And that had only been the start of his troubles. Ever since the realization had struck he’d found himself falling harder and harder for the man with each passing day. Did Daichi even realize what he was doing to him?!
Probably not. But every teasing comment, every home cooked meal, every time they shared a moment together only seemed to make the fondness in his heart grow for the former captain.
So… here he was, standing in the hallway, listening to Daichi humming that same song like always, his heart beating a mile a minute and savoring every second. He would happily stand there and listen to this song over and over again and to be fair… hadn’t he already been doing that? The only thing that ever bothered him… was that he had yet to be able to figure out what the song was.
How many times had he secretly heard it now? Fifteen? Fifty? Maybe somewhere in the middle, but each time he would go through the list of songs he knew and not once was he ever able to come up with the right tune or melody to match.
He’d even gone so far as to ask Bokuto and Kenma for help, but he himself had never really been able to carry a tune. When he’d tried to hum the song or sing it a bit, he’d gotten two different reactions.
Kenma had asked if he was being serious or if he was trying to purposefully sing off key.
Bokuto had laughed so hard he had literally cried, claiming that Kuroo sounded exactly like a cat yowling in an alleyway.
Needless to say he’d given up asking others for help after that.
Still, there was something kind of thrilling about it. A little mystery that Kuroo hoped to one day figure out or… that maybe one day Daichi would be willing to confide in him? But honestly, what were the chances of that? He didn’t know that Kuroo was harboring these feelings. Daichi probably had no idea that he hoped to one day have more than this friendship, but
“Wise men say… only fools rush in… But I can’t help… falling in love… with… you,”
Kuroo’s smile faltered as he heard the humming shift into Daichi’s smooth voice, though the other still kept his words soft. In an instant, the former Nekoma captains entire world focused completely onto that melody.
“Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can’t help… falling in love… with… you.”
The words were so gentle that it made Kuroo’s heart ache as he listened to it. This was far more… personal than when he’d simply heard the melody hummed along in Daichi’s timbre. This… this was a song the man honestly felt.
But for who?
“Like a river flows, surely to the sea… darling so it goes… some things are meant to be.”
With every word, Kuroo found himself drawn more and more to Daichi. He needed to know just who was it that was making this… amazing man sing so openly from the heart? There was no way a song like this just gets stuck in a person’s head for weeks without there being a catalyst for it.
“Take my hand… take my whole life too. For I… can’t… help… falling in love… with… K-KUROO?!”
The spell was immediately broken as Kuroo realized that he hadn’t just been drawn to Daichi’s words on an emotional level. Apparently, much like a bed-headed moth to a flame, he’d made his way from his spot in the hallway to stand directly behind Daichi… managing to scare the hell out of the man and almost getting a wooden spoon to the face.
“Do I have to get a bell for you?! Oh my heart….,” Daichi panted, clutching his chest and trying to get his breath back. “Wh-what… are you doing sneaking up on me like that?”
Kuroo felt his ears heating up as he realized that he really, really didn’t have a good enough reason to be there. His original reason for even being in the hallway to begin with was completely lost to him so his mouth decided to try and help as his brain slowly short circuited.
“Who are you singing about?” he asked quietly, his brain finally kicking in to remind him that his mouth said stupid, stupid things when left to its own devices.
Daichi’s entire face turned a slightly unhealthy shade of crimson and he cleared his throat. “Oh… I… it was… I heard it on the radio today,” he said with a shrug, turning back to the food he’d been working on.
However, Kuroo found he really couldn’t let this go. Not now.
“If you just heard it today, Sa’amura… then why have you been humming it for weeks?” he asked, stepping a little closer to the man, enough to see that the crimson color was now moving to his ears.
“No I haven’t.”
“Yes you have.”
“Prove it.”
“What are you, five?”
“What are you, five?”
Kuroo actually snorted as his own question was mimicked back at him in a very non-Daichi way. Apparently he’d already had an effect on the man from them living together… and he was starting to wonder if perhaps in more ways than he’d dared to hope if the blush was anything to go by.
“Actually. I can prove it,” he said with a wider smile, watching as Daichi turned to him with a narrowed expression.
“Is that right?” he asked, folding his arms over his broad chest and all but daring Kuroo to continue.
This only made Kuroo grin and he nodded. “I can prove it because I’ve been trying to figure out what this song is for just as long. Since I first heard you humming it when making cocoa. I’ve asked Kenma… hell I’ve even asked Bo! I can name each and every time I’ve heard it because… each time it has always made me stop… and made my heart feel like it was going to flutter out of my chest,” he admitted, watching the way Daichi’s eyes widened before he quickly ducked his head to look at the floor.
Kuroo’s own expression softened and he stepped closer, carefully reaching forward and taking Daichi’s hand in his.
“Y-You don’t have to… you don’t… if you don’t feel the same I understand… I…,” Daichi seemed to be floundering for words now, as if his darkest secret was finally being exposed and Kuroo would take it and crush it in his hands before him.
Kuroo couldn’t take that. Couldn’t take seeing and hearing that worry and fear and knew he had to make sure Daichi understood… really understood.
“T-Take… my hand. Take my whole life too…,” he began, his words slow and careful and the notes a little offkey. “For I… can’t… help. Falling in love… with… you.”
Daichi’s eyes instantly glanced up as he sang, his eyes wide as if trying to decide if this was real or not. But just as Kuroo was beginning to wonder if he’d misstepped he watched as a smile began to spread over Daichi’s face and the shorter man brought his free hand up to stifle a laugh.
It was Kuroo’s turn to feel his cheeks going red and he cleared his throat. “S-Sorry. I… I’m not very good at singing. Ask Bo! He almost passed out he laughed so hard when I tried to get his help figuring it ou-,” His words were cut off as soft lips pressed against his own.
He remained frozen in that moment as Daichi leaned back, a warm smile on his face that Kuroo vowed he’d always work to keep there.
“I don’t know what Bo’s talking about,” Daichi murmured softly, giving Kuroo’s fingers a soft squeeze in his own as the former Nekoma captain realized that this man held his heart utterly and completely. “You sounded perfect to me.”
Hi! I loved the way you did my Bnha matchup awhile ago and I was wondering if I could get a Haikyuu one! I’m a 5’1 pan female with long hair that fades from red to blonde. I am very curvy/busty and I am very insecure about it. I am soft-spoken, intelligent, shy, extremely patient, and I get flustered really easily. I love to play the ukulele and sing! I have been bullied for most of my life. I’m also an INTJ, Aquarius and Hufflepuff! Thank you so much!
omfg im so sorry queen 😔 i took far too long w this. I started this at midnight and all my sins are outside the door (05/26: peep the grapes of wrath reference 👀) (also I would just like to mention that i saw the difference between this matchup and your previous one, and the first one was four pages in total. On this one, the first first matchup is four pages. I’m genuinely seeing progress, and it’s throwing me for a loop)
#1 is...Kuroo!
you saw this coming, let’s not lie
Kuroo is abso-fucking-lutely a tiddy man
Patient plus gets flustered easily??
Redhead?????
Sign this bastard up right now
You walked in through the door and in .005 seconds he’s at your side
“Hey hey hey there, cutie! You here looking for someone?”
You tell him that you’re there to apply as a manager
and you’re already lighting up like a Christmas tree
Yamamoto is crying in the background because hallelujah, they’ve got a cute manager!!
And off the bat, Kuroo’s there for you
The flirting gets taken back a notch so you can focus on your duties as manager
But once you have a moment??
He’s at your side like glue
Slowly, you create yourself a niche on the team
They joke that you and Yaku are good mom/bad mom
And Kuroo watches it all
Lev sometimes pisses him off by getting a step too close
And Kenma just gives Kuroo a side glance
And it takes him little over three months to realise that he has a crush on you
What worries him about it is that this is a genuine crush
Most of the ones he had before were driven by looks, or by a solitary incident
And he would just bottle it up and let it fade
But this time??
He’s this 🤏 close to getting a ring and proposing on the SPOT
So while you had out water bottles he leans against the wall with a lovesick grin
And he pines
But one day
You were let off your duties one day
And after practice, Kuroo goes to look for you
And he hears snickering by the music room
And he turns
Some girls tease you about being thiccer than them
And you’re about to cry and you’re holding yourself
There’s a ukelele in your arms but you’re clearly upset
Kuroo steps in immediately
He’s furious because Jesus Christ, girls can be so damn mean
And he’s biting their heads off
And no matter how they try to play it off, he’s not having it
Once they leave with hisses and their wounded pride, you drop to the floor on your knees
He’s kneeling with you, talking as softly and gently as he can
And honestly?
He’s panicking, too.
He’s a bit of a womaniser, yes, but most of the time it results in little more than first dates
And here’s the girl of his dreams, breaking down in the hallway after school’s over
About fifteen minutes in, Kenma and Yaku find him and you
And you have your head on his shoulder, and you’ve cried yourself asleep
He looks up at them, puts a finger to his mouth, and the two leaves
The next day Kuroo’s literally never leaving your side
He told all of the team what happened
And Lev mentioned it to his seatmate
Who mentioned it to a TA
Who mentioned it to...yeah you know what’s up
So when you get to your shoe locker, it’s filled with positive notes and even some sweets!
There’s even a rose in there, and you keep all of it with you all day
Classmates come up and tell you that if you need anything, they’re there for you!
The three girls that started it in the first place are forced to publicly apologise, thanks to not only both of the volleyball teams but a couple of delinquents that lent some muscle
Kuroo is with you all day and he’s ecstatic that people are coming together to make you happy! And soon enough people figure out exactly why Kuroo had to be picked up and dragged away from your class
And soon you and Kuroo become the talk of the school, in the way that you and Kuroo don’t know
People ship it ofc 😚✨
by the end of the week people are asking Kuroo when he’s going to get the balls to ask you out
Very quickly he has the support of the entire school on asking you out
Cue the wildest week of his life
Everyone’s giving him ideas left and right
And he gets overwhelmed, which feels weird, but that friday, he’s walking you home
And he’s biting his lip, but in a nervous way
You lean in and ask him what’s wrong
“Nothing! Nothing at all! Just thinking at lot, that’s all. Nothing you should worry your pretty little head about.”
He ruffles your hair but you see right through him
“You know you can talk to me, right?”
And there’s a moment
He stood still
The hundred muscles in his neck stood out in high relief
And the sunset went deep into his eyes and lit the embers in them
And before you or him could think
He leans down and kisses you
It’s soft, and quiet, lingering but barely there
Neither of you pull away until he opens his eyes, and he takes a second,
And you stare up at him
And he’s staring at you
And then he steals another kiss again, this time definitely there,
And he picks you up and swings you around while still kissing you
When you pull away from breath he’s laughing and just giddy as hell
He holds you in his arms, rocking you back and forth
He’s nuzzling your hair and just so, so soft
Damn now I feel soft
#2 is...Nishinoya!
Boy is THRILLED
You’re shorter than him!!
Than HIM!!!! As soon as he sees you he’s on his knees begging to god he has a chance
You call him ‘sempai’ and the boy is gone
He can and will dramatically fall over with his hand over his heart every time you do anything vaguely cute
Though you brush off his affections, considering how he would act around Kiyoko, he’s dead serious
As soon as he realises he likes you, he’ll stop flirting with anyone else
It’s abrupt, and most of the team notices
The best way to convey how he feels about you is this
99 percent of the time, your interactions could be considered as him, laying on his stomach and letting his legs swing back and forth
And he’s staring at you with a blush and holding up his head with his hands while you literally just stand there
But anyway
Even though everyone wants to help Nishinoya get with you, he refuses
He wants this to be 200% his own making!!
All from the heart!!
He starts out with flirting with you like he used to
But when all that happens is that you get flustered, he moves onto plan B
And that’s gifts!!
You find that every day, as soon as you step into the gym, Nishinoya has some sort of treat or present
The first day, he gave you GariGari popsicles
the second, he gave a bunch of crude (but well intentioned) chocolates
He’s doing his absolute best!!
You get an inkling of an idea, but you’re too shy to ask him what his intentions are 👉👈
And though he’s so rambunctious, he’s too shy to tell you outright immediately 👉👈
It goes to mutual pining
And then he gives you another gift...
So it’s just this cycle
(and now the meme makes sense)
But then, after a month, it becomes clear to Nishinoya and his wallet that this isn’t working
So he leaves love letters!!
He wants to be as romantic as possible!!
And every time you get them, he sees you get all giddy and flustered and now he’s giddy
Does Tanaka call him a simp?
Yes
But he calls Tanaka a simp for Kiyoko right on back, so...
#3 is...Yachi!
Blushy baby blushy baby blushy baby
Take one (1) look at her and tell me she wouldn’t absolutely have a crush on you
She has the cute classmate that gets really flustered
And is super sweet and patient and never get angry
Oh my god she would love you so much
She wouldn’t confess to your face, either
She blabs to the entire team and all her friends about you
And it’s cute as hell because she’ll talk about how gentle you were when someone was freaking out over a test
Or how you aced said test
She’s in constant awe of you
She thinks you’re an angel
So one day, while she’s talking to her friends
And you were supposed to be out delivering papers, but you’re done early
You overhear her
“She’s just so kind and sweet and pretty...I love her so much…”
Yachi sounds so dejected
You want to comfort her
But then
“Honestly, YN’s just the best girl...she’s pretty, and she’s smart. I don’t think I’d ever be able to ask her out.”
Yachi’s friends see you right behind her
And they’re all like ‘ahaha we dippin’
As they leave, Yachi turns
And is face to face with you
She lights up in the spot
And she’s stammering, trying to somehow make an excuse
When you give her a soft smile and play a bit with your hands
“I would….I would like it if, maybe, a-and you don’t have to if you don’t want to! But there’s a crepe shop that just opened, and would you wanna…?”
You ask her, and she’s elated
She’s lowkey shrieking with joy
She’s jumping on you with a hug
And she may be bright red, but goddamnit!! She’s gonna kiss her gf!!!
